Newcastle's been a property investment hotspot in the media quite a bit in the last little while, and Richard gives us a bit of a lay of the land as to all the different pockets around Newcastle and an idea about where the hotspots are and what investors need to look for if they're looking to purchase in Newcastle to expand or even begin their investment property portfolio. He gives us some really great tips as to some of the secret sauce behind buyer's agents and how they can negotiate for their clients and get better deals, how they work at auction with things like auction markers. And he gives us a nice little tip about vacancy rates and how that may predict the movement of property growth prices.

He gives us some great advice on setting goals and reviewing our portfolio and just some awesome general comments on the property market and its direction for the next little while as well. Episode 67: Interview with Melinda Jennison
This week we're chatting with Melinda Jennison, who's the Managing Director of Streamline Property Buyers, a buyers agency specialising in Brisbane and located in Brisbane. We have a chat to her about her background as what I described, a proper clever person. She has a Ph.D. in exercise physiology and we speak about how that academic background serves her as a property investment expert today. She has a lot of experience in the development side of property and we speak to her about the due diligence that she goes through and some of the pitfalls for investors that are looking to get involved in the development space, and we cast the spotlight on greater South-East Queensland, what some of the drivers are and what her expectations are for growth in the future. It's a great interview and Melinda's very generous with her time and knowledge.

Episode 66: Interview with Jordan de Jong
This week, we're chatting with Jordan de Jong, who's a property investor and data science expert. And we take a deep dive into some of the things that are featuring in the real estate market, and will in the future from a technical point of view, such as big data and machine learning, which he gives us a great crash course on. We chat to him about how he got started in property purchasing, his first investment at 23 years old, and we go into his analysis that he goes through when purchasing a property, and what an A-grade property means to him. And I'm sure you'll agree that his approach is pretty impressive from a fundamental and analysis point of view. He comes from a very inspiring entrepreneurial background as well, but no silver spoons in his mouth. He's a very down to earth chap, and I had a great time chatting with him and I'm sure you'll enjoy the interview. Here's Jordan.
