Just when I think I have covered the most ridiculous stories about the dumbest criminals on earth, along come people like Gavin Weisenburg and Tanner Thomas. These two members of the brain trust decided they were going to sail to the Haitian island of Gonâve, kill all 50,000 adult men, and then enslave the women and children for their own desires. The DOJ was made aware of their plans because they posted them publicly on message boards. So the FBI got involved and what they discovered just might be one of the stupidest and most insane plots in American history. Stephen Griffiths is a very strange man. He had an online persona he called "The Pariah." He terrorized the women he dated but in secret, he was doing something worse; killing them. When girls and young women began disappearing in France and Belgium, it took the police far too long to realize the cases were connected. Ronald DeFeo Sr and his wife Louise purchased a home in Amityville, New York and named it High Hopes. It was anything but. Ronald DeFeo Jr, who went by Butch was the oldest son of five kids and he had a drug problem. He was also violent and had been raised in an abusive household. On November 13, 1974, Butch took a shotgun and murdered the entire family as they slept. After he was imprisoned, George and Kathy Lutz bought the house. Friends were afraid it might be haunted so the Lutz family called a priest to bless the house. The Priest, Father Ray, claims that while blessing the house he heard a menacing voice say, "get out." Afterwards, the Lutz family began experiencing strange paranormal events and soon, they decided to move out. This is the kind of story that keeps me up at night. We know people murder for money, for sex, for revenge, but somehow it is more horrifying when a random murder is committed against people who are totally and completely innocent. Clinton and Cristen Brink planned a fun day hiking in Devil's Den State Park in Arkansas. While enjoying their afternoon, a man jumped out and began stabbing Clinton.
