This is the story of the Hi-Fi Shop Murders which took place in Ogden, Utah on April 22, 1974. United States Air Force soldiers William Andrews and Dale Selby Pierre went into the store with the intention of robbing it. They were not expecting people to enter the shop during the robbery or that the parents of the employees would come looking for their children. Soon, they had five hostages in the basement of the store. The hostages were forced to drink Drano, a caustic substance for unclogging drains. When the Drano didn't kill the hostages, Pierre shot each of them. Courtney Naisbitt and Orren Walker lived but sadly, Stanley Walker, Sherry Michelle Ansley and Carol Naisbitt did not. The Son of Sam case refers to a series of shootings that took place in New York City during the summer of 1976 and into 1977. The killer, who became known as the "Son of Sam," was David Berkowitz. He murdered six people and wounded seven others, primarily targeting young couples parked in cars. Donna Laurie, Jody Valenti, Carl Denaro, Rosemary Keenan, Donna DeMasi, Joanne Lomino, Christine Freund, John Diel, Virginia Voskerichian, Alexander Esau, Valentina Suriani, Salvatore Lupo, Judy Placido, Stacy Moskowitz, and Robert Violante all lost their lives at the hands of this maniac. Berkowitz taunted police and the public through letters he sent to the press, signing them as "Son of Sam." His letters included bizarre claims about being commanded to kill by a demon dog, which added to the panic and media frenzy surrounding the case. The investigation was intense, and Berkowitz was eventually apprehended on August 10, 1977, after police traced a parking ticket to his car. He confessed to the murders and was convicted, receiving multiple life sentences. His case raised discussions about mental health, media influence, and public safety, making it one of the most infamous criminal cases in American history. Today we are discussing the murder of Johnny Altinger and the attack of Gilles Tetreault who were both lured by Mark Twitchell posing as a woman on dating apps. The men thought they were going to meet a woman for the first time. Instead, they were attacked upon entering Mark's rented garage where he used a stun baton and a plastic gun on them. One man was lucky enough to get away. The other was not. Mark was a huge Star Wars fan and professional film maker who also loved the TV show Dexter. We discuss the killing spree that occurred over Christmas in 1992. Six murders were committed by a group of teenagers who were bored. They shot people randomly on the streets and stole their sneakers. They robbed a neighborhood grocery store, murdered the clerk and wounded a customer. They got only forty four dollars for her life. They shot and killed one of the gang member's ex boyfriends and then went back and murdered two of his friends, dumping their bodies in a gravel pit. The police were on a skeleton crew because of the holiday but soon, it was all hands on deck. Body after body was discovered and the police realized they had a very serious problem on their hands. When the group is caught, one of the gang members wants a shootout with the police, but thankfully that did not happen. At trial, the group leader, Marvallous Keene is sentenced to death. With all the Diddy news, this story is being overlooked. Marilyn Manson is being accused of horrific behavior by multiple women. His fans went crazy when I posted this story on YouTube, saying he's "been proven innocent." That is a total lie. The FBI raided his house, there are multiple lawsuits against him, and he has not yet been in court on any of these allegations. He is far from "proven innocent."
