God has given you a calling for which He desires you to succeed at. However, as much as God desires for you to succeed, Satan desires for you to fail. Therefore, Satan will send many attacks your way that are designed to stop your calling and/or are fashioned to tempt you to give up. A major way we can stop his attacks is to put on the full armor of God. This is practically done by living a life following the ways of God. Jesus has called his kingdom citizens to be the salt of the world. This means we are here to be a light in the darkness, not a source of chaos. However, many Christians are salty instead of being salt. Being salty is taking revenge when someone attacks you in word or deed, which adds to the chaos of the world. For example, someone may say something bad about you or your viewpoints on social media, and out of hurt, you retaliate with a fury of social posts attacking the person or groups who persecuted you. When God gives you a calling, He is not putting pressure on you to achieve it all within a certain time frame. He has given you your entire life to fulfill your calling. There are some activities we are currently involved in, traditions that we hold, and relationships we have that we need to let go of so we can succeed in our calling. Forgiving those who wrong you is another kingdom principle that is hard on the flesh. As kingdom citizens, we are called to forgive even if the offending party doesn't apologize or stop wronging us. If God has called you to be an entrepreneur, the first thing you need to do is change your mind. The mindset of an entrepreneur is very different from that of an employee. If your mind is not changed, you will struggle in your calling. Therefore, most entrepreneurs must go through a personal wilderness experience (one of lack) for the purpose of mindset renewal, so they can achieve all God has planned for them. Many believers give Satan too much power over them. They do this by contributing God-like attributes to him. For example, God can read our thoughts, so many assume Satan can as well. However, he is a fallen angel, not God. Therefore, Satan can't read our thoughts and bring the fears in our thoughts to pass. This revelation brings peace, so we can process and work through fearful thoughts without being afraid that Satan knows what we are thinking and can use that against us. What holds us back from entrepreneurial success is natural thinking based on our limited resources. For example, God calls you to open up a daycare, but you only have one hundred dollars in the bank. Your natural thinking says, "I don't have enough to do it." However, God's thinking says you have enough money; you just need to use your faith to get more. We hold back our success because the instructions God gives us for success go against how we think it should be done. When we do this, we are putting our thoughts above God's thoughts. To truly receive the fullness of the success God has for us, we must let go of how "we think," and make room for God's thoughts. The calling God has given you is unique and requires a unique blueprint, so we should not copy someone else's plan or testimony of success. When we copy, it is like putting a circle in a square hole – it just doesn't fit. Yes, we can learn from others, but we should not copy. Receiving your blessings (i.e., healing, prosperity, etc.) from God requires you to speak words of faith. Just because it's profitable, helpful to others, or beneficial to the Kingdom doesn't mean you should do it. The time God has given you on earth is supposed to be filled with endeavors commissioned by God. When you involve yourself in unauthorized endeavors (however good they may be), you will stress yourself out because you will be doing it without God. Since the beginning days of Christianity, believers have had disagreements over the meaning of various spiritual principles in the Word of God. A lot of these early disagreements are actually documented in the New Testament. What is amazing about these early disagreements is that God did not step in and correct everyone. Instead, He left it up to us to correctly discover spiritual truth from His Word. Therefore, when you are listening to other believers and ministers interpret the Word of God, you are bound to hear contradictions and disagreements. When this happens, we have to resist the desire to enter into fruitless arguments. In a real sense, to grow spiritually, we have to graduate from needing other Christians to agree with us. Human language has only a fraction of the communication power as God's spiritual language. Therefore, God's word cannot be directly represented in a one-to-one representation of human words because our words are limited. His words are spirit and our words are natural. A faith project is when God instructs us to go after something we currently don't have the resources to achieve. For example, buying equipment, leasing office space, or hosting a global conference when you don't have the money. Reacting to world and local events through the lens of race, gender, culture, and country is tempting. Many countries in our world have systematic inequalities where some people are held back and others are promoted based on race, gender, age, education, etc. This shouldn't be, but one day God dropped into my spirit that faith does not care about inequalities. With God, all people are created equal and have the same value. However, society does not think this way. Society has evolved to esteem some physical characteristics and social standings as more valuable than others. For example, if you're the right color, the right height, or the right gender, then you may have an advantage over somebody who's doesn't have one of those characteristics or features. This isn't fair; however, God can use a social privilege for his purposes. So if you have a privilege, don't automatically push it away; instead, allow God to use it. The biggest question many believers have is "what is my calling?" Until this question is answered it is like walking through a foggy room without a sense of direction. However, God doesn't want us to be unclear about our calling. He has given us several signposts throughout our life that direct us to our calling.
