As I was meditating on the word, my thoughts went to the account of Jesus walking on water. I have read it many times before, but I felt in my spirit that the Holy Spirit wanted me to see something different about it. So, after reading it again, the Word of the Lord came to me saying that after the shutdowns are over, many of us will experience miraculous restarts. A revelation I received from God was that He anoints people, not organizations. This means that the Church for Entrepreneurs is anointed through me. Likewise, your organization is anointed because of the anointing God has placed on you. Our organizations just amplify our calling. The example the Holy Spirit gave me is that of the Black Lion from Voltron. Without the pilot, the Black Lion doesn't work. The vision statement usually provides the future goals of your business or organization, whereas the mission statement communicates how you serve your customers or clients and the outcomes they can expect. Understanding this critical difference will help you communicate better with your customers or clients. Instead of sharing your vision with them, share your mission. The callings that God has placed in our hearts is really simple. If the calling feels complex, then the complexity is coming from us adding things to it God never called us to do. God is not the author of confusion. Confusion comes when we add God's instructions with our assumptions. Links Ministry School Partnership

Your calling from God can be articulated through the what, why and how framework: what is the big picture of your calling; why is the reason God wants to undertake your calling; and how is the implementation details of achieving your calling. Knowing the why, why, and how of your calling guides you in making decisions that lead to success in your calling. Link: Partnership

The spiritual force that brings financial prosperity is the blessing. The blessing is not a reward for good behavior, it is a free gift given to us through Jesus Christ. However, many Christians are not prosperous. Why? Because the blessing for prosperity is activated by the work of our hands. And the location of our hands determine our level of prosperity. If our hands are in other people's business, then we have limited our prosperity. If our hands are in the business God has given us, then we can have unlimited prosperity. Links: Partnership

It is likely that the vision God has given you is large and will impact the lives of many people. Therefore, God will probably train you through small victories before you step into the primary calling He has given you. This is similar to being a baby. We must learn to crawl before we walk or run. If we rush straight at the vision God has given us, we won't have the necessary skills (which are developed through training in smaller battles) to win. Is God speaking to your spirit to quit your job and leading you to step fully into your calling? If so, then I have a question He wants me to ask you: If not now, when? There is not going to be a perfect time to leave your job. There are always going to be reasons and natural circumstances saying you can't do it. However, God wants me to encourage you in this Faith Chat to consider that the answer to the question "if not now, when?" is that "when" may never come. Now is the time. Many Christians question their ability to lead their calling to success because they are looking at their natural credentials and past track record. However, if God has called you to do it, then He has anointed you to lead it. Under the banner of being humble, we hold back our ambition because we don't want to appear greedy or self centered. However, your ambition is the engine that powers your success. Our society is obsessed with credibility and credentials. If you are a chef, they want to know what culinary school you went to. If you're a business coach, they want to know what successful business you have personally made a million dollars from. If you say you are starting a ministry, people want to know what theology school you got your ministry degree from. These questions are basically trying to judge or challenge your credibility. In our guru culture of coaches and mentors, we are being programmed to follow other people's paths to success. This is tempting to our intellect and emotions because we believe that if somebody has made six or seven figures doing it a certain way, then we'll also be successful if we just follow their way. However, this rarely happens. If you look at the results of the guru's students, they rarely reach the same level of success as the guru. And of course the guru says that if you take action, you will make it just like me. Well, people are taking action, and it is still not working. The reason it is not working is because another person's path to success is not your blueprint from God. And by the way, this also applies to trying to follow the success of someone else's ministry. There is a term in warfare called "the fog of war." It is a metaphor for the confusion that occurs on the battlefield when bullets are flying and bombs are exploding. In this confusion (or fog), it makes the battle plan unclear and uncertain. Likewise, there is a fog of life that causes confusion in the vision God has given you. If you follow me on social media, you'll notice that I almost never comment on COVID-19 policy decisions made by the president, governor, mayor, and county officials. Why? Because I have learned that stepping into places I am not called to lead could stall my vision from God. It doesn't mean that I don't have opinions, but they are just that: opinions. God has anointed us to lead in a particular arena and when we step outside of our anointing, we break our focus, which derails our calling. The anointing on our lives is just potential. We can train our potential and grow it to incredible heights. It is just like natural talent in sports. Worrying about your finances is not healthy because it can cause depression, stress, and sickness. Financial worry is something you don't want in your life. I have discovered through the Word of God that when we have a financial need, asking God to give us money is the wrong prayer to pray. The reason is that God can only give us what He has. Money is a human creation, not a God creation. Therefore, we need to ask God for what He can give, and what God gives is wisdom that leads to you making money. When you receive an instruction from God, it is critical to know if the instruction is for provision or purpose. An instruction for provision is usually temporary and is designed to take care of an immediate financial need, whereas an instruction for purpose is long term and is the reason why you were born. Many married entrepreneurs are frustrated because their spouse doesn't believe in or support their vision. Why? Because God gave you the vision, not your spouse. Your faith has been activated to see something that doesn't exist yet, so you can believe the vision without seeing proof. However, your spouse may not have received a word from God about it, so they don't have a basis for faith yet, which means they will need to see some tangible proof. To experience unprecedented levels of success this year requires us to fully accept the calling God has placed in our hearts. I have found that most of us already know our calling, but we are having trouble accepting it. The number one thing that is holding us back from acceptance is a lack of honesty. We have to be honest with ourselves that we are afraid. When you see another believer fail to receive their healing, especially when they have been praying for it, it can really cause you to doubt. During this worldwide pandemic that has shut down many industries, the word "unprecedented" has been used over and over to describe this time. Almost all who use the word "unprecedented" is using it in a negative way. However, Holy Spirit reminded me that the Word God gave us this year was "those who know their calling, accept it and execute it will experience unprecedented levels of success." Notice that God said this year, we have "unprecedented" levels of success. Let's grab a hold of God's Word and expect unprecedented levels of success, instead of unprecedented failure and turmoil. Divine healing is not a reward for serving God or living a holy life. Instead, it is a basic benefit of every believer that is designed to be accessed instantly with your faith. Fear is kryptonite to the success of the calling God placed in our heart. If fear is left unchecked it will completely stall or destroy our calling. Therefore, we need to stop the growth of fear in our hearts. We stop fear's growth by cutting off its food source, which is repetition of hearing negative words, speaking negative words and thinking negative thoughts. The word God spoke to my heart for 2020 was clarity. In particular, He said those you know, accept, and execute their calling will experience unprecedented levels of success in 2020. What I am sensing in my spirit is that now is the critical time to really accept the calling. Most of us know what it is, but we have not truly accepted it. Without acceptance, we do not have faith to execute our calling. Thus, we won't experience the unprecedented levels of success God is speaking in this season. In May, stay-at-home restrictions are going to be released in many states and cities. However, churches are going to act in one of two ways. Some Pastors will keep their churches closed while others will open up immediately. The results we reap are a direct product of the thoughts we think. Our minds are the engines that drive our success; therefore, we have to intentionally program how we think. If we allow worldly thinking to program our minds, then we will reap success mired with sorrows and pain. If our minds have a mixture of worldly and godly programming, then we will be unsuccessful and frustrated. Most times when we don't achieve our goals it's because we set those goals without input from God. Setting a goal without a word from God equals trying to throw a rock at the moon. One of the main things this pandemic has caused is fear. People are afraid to be in close proximity to other human beings. While social distancing is a tool to help combat the pandemic, after the pandemic is over the experience of social distancing will leave most of the human population scarred with fear. This embedded fear in people's souls will keep many inside even when it is safe to travel, and those who do venture out will do so tentatively with a deep remnant of fear, keeping wary of other humans. To succeed in the calling God has given us, we must combat the fear that is and will be felt by many. There is a lot of talk online about how businesses and ministries need to pivot to adjust to the current crisis we are overcoming. In general this is good advice, but it is absolutely the wrong advice if you don't have an unction from Holy Spirit to pivot. As believers we don't allow circumstances to dictate our calling. When I was younger, I believed that if I had enough faith, I would be invincible from all problems. However, as I got older and learned more about the Bible, I discovered that it is not quite like that. While having faith does overcomes all problems, faith does not make me invincible like superman. After a few weeks of quarantines, serious disagreements between governments and churches and contentions within the Christian community have emerged. Some are strongly in agreement with the current attempts at reducing the pandemic through quarantines, while others feel that it is overreaching. Christians who don't follow social distancing and mask wearing are calling Christians who do faithless. Christians who follow social distancing are calling Christians who don't disrespectful and dangerous. With all the name-calling and disagreements, I am pondering the question, "Would Jesus follow quarantine rules?" Jesus' calling was to die on the cross, go to hell, and be raised up so we could be saved. We often assume that this was easy to do because, after all, Jesus is the son of God. The vision that God has given to you requires faith to achieve. However, if you have people in your circle of influence who are casting doubt over your vision, either in words or actions, their unbelief will contaminate your faith. When this happens, your once strong faith becomes ineffective and your vision fails. You need to remove unbelieving people from your circle of influence in order to avoid this scenario, so you can achieve success in your vision and receive all the things for which you are believing in God for.
