When we copy, it is like putting a circle in a square hole – it just doesn't fit. Yes, we can learn from others, but we should not copy. Idle words are words said in passing when you are caught off guard. For example: Someone may ask you, "How are you doing today?" and you may instinctively say, "I have seen better days." Well, saying idle words like that negate your words of faith for the great days or the financial harvest you are believing will come. Just because it's profitable, helpful to others, or beneficial to the Kingdom doesn't mean you should do it. The time God has given you on earth is supposed to be filled with endeavors commissioned by God. When you involve yourself in unauthorized endeavors (however good they may be), you will stress yourself out because you will be doing it without God. Since the beginning days of Christianity, believers have had disagreements over the meaning of various spiritual principles in the Word of God. A lot of these early disagreements are actually documented in the New Testament. What is amazing about these early disagreements is that God did not step in and correct everyone. Instead, He left it up to us to correctly discover spiritual truth from His Word. Therefore, when you are listening to other believers and ministers interpret the Word of God, you are bound to hear contradictions and disagreements. When this happens, we have to resist the desire to enter into fruitless arguments. In a real sense, to grow spiritually, we have to graduate from needing other Christians to agree with us. Human language has only a fraction of the communication power as God's spiritual language. Therefore, God's word cannot be directly represented in a one-to-one representation of human words because our words are limited. His words are spirit and our words are natural. To hear the spirit words behind the human words in the Bible, we must meditate the words in the Bible until our spiritual ears hear God's true revelation. The will of God doesn't happen without help. It requires our participation and the participation of other people. We are at a point in history where the voices of many different ministers of the gospel can be heard all over the world through the Internet. With this great proliferation of voices, you are bound to hear minsters say something that you perceive to be false doctrine or just straight up lies. When this occurs, many believers are tempted to speak out against these ministers on social media, blogs, YouTube, etc. But should we? A faith project is when God instructs us to go after something we currently don't have the resources to achieve. For example, buying equipment, leasing office space, or hosting a global conference when you don't have the money. God gives believers, who have entrepreneurial callings, projects like this all the time. Reacting to world and local events through the lens of race, gender, culture, and country is tempting. However, we have to resist this urge because, as believers in Jesus Christ, we are citizens of the Kingdom of God. Many countries in our world have systematic inequalities where some people are held back and others are promoted based on race, gender, age, education, etc. This shouldn't be, but one day God dropped into my spirit that faith does not care about inequalities. With God, all people are created equal and have the same value. However, society does not think this way. Society has evolved to esteem some physical characteristics and social standings as more valuable than others. For example, if you're the right color, the right height, or the right gender, then you may have an advantage over somebody who's doesn't have one of those characteristics or features. This isn't fair; however, God can use a social privilege for his purposes. So if you have a privilege, don't automatically push it away; instead, allow God to use it. The biggest question many believers have is "what is my calling?" Until this question is answered it is like walking through a foggy room without a sense of direction. However, God doesn't want us to be unclear about our calling. He has given us several signposts throughout our life that direct us to our calling. Five of those signposts are interest, ability, motivation, independence, and energy. These five signposts can direct you to your calling. A commandment is defined as a rule to be observed strictly. The old covenant is full of commandments, whereas commandments are minimal in the new covenant. To lead, you don't need to lose weight, dye your hair, change your eye color, or do anything else society finds attractive. Your ability to lead is not based on what's attractive to society, but the anointing that's on your life. Watching a person be murdered on social media is a traumatic experience for all who watched — regardless of race. However, it causes extra trauma for those of the same ethnicity as the person being murdered because they have seen this evil behavior many times before and have watched the perpetrator of the injustice go unpunished. When harm (intentionally or unintentionally) comes to us or those we love at the hands of another human, our flesh cries out for vengeance. However, vengeance is a seed we cannot afford to sow because the harvest of the vengeance seed is death. The only person who can handle the harvest of vengeance is God. The vision God has given you requires you to change your mind. From interacting with negative people and having negative experiences, our minds are filled with limiting thoughts. Thoughts like "People like us don't do that," "You don't have the money for that," "You'll never achieve that goal," etc. Those thoughts must be rooted out of our minds if we are to achieve all God has for us to do. Most believers already have a good basic knowledge of what God has called them to do because God has not been hiding it from them. He has revealed it to them throughout their lives. The real issue is that many of us have not accepted our calling. We are full of self doubt and excuses. However, until we willingly accept our calling, we can't even begin to be successful. Believers will often say, "If God wants me to go this way, then He will open a door of opportunity," or, "this door closed because God has something better for me." God may open or close doors of opportunity, but the state of the door (aka opportunity) doesn't indicate the will of God for your life. Each day of our life, seeds are being intentionally and unintentionally sown into our hearts which either produce the fruit of faith, or fear. This is important because the results you experience in your life are based on faith or fear. Faith that is acted on produces success; and fear creates inaction, which produces failure. Thus, most of us are experiencing wild swings in emotions, various degrees of success, and frequent periods of failure. The Bible teaches that we should leave an inheritance for our children's children. Many of us with entrepreneurial callings take this to mean that the business God has called us to build will be an inheritance for our children, who can then pass it on to their children. However, this is not quite the correct way to go about leaving an inheritance. When we leave our children a business, we are leaving them a vision. The problem with this is that the vision that God has given our children may be different than our vision.
