God has given us two powerful tools to succeed in life and heed our calling. However, for these two tools to be effective, we have to use them actively together. It like having a sword and a shield. Because the world is in opposition to the Word of God we should not be surprised when politicians make laws that go against God's Word. When we make mistakes we have to be courageous enough to let them go. Maybe you started a business you should not have, perhaps you said 'yes' to a project that is out of alignment with your calling, or you hired (or partnered with) someone you should not have. In the 2020 election believers are voting very differently and are very passionate about their candidate. Each side believes their candidate is God's choice to lead now or is better than the other. Thus, part of the Body of Christ will be upset with the results of the election. There will be celebrations and I told you so's. God has given every human the ability to have faith. Some use this ability to have faith that their education will land them a high paying job. Others have faith that medical doctors can repair something broken in their body. However, they might discover that faith in their education, doctors, etc., does not gain them the desired results. Divorce and remarriage are two of the most disputed topics in the body of Christ. Some say you should never get a divorce and, if you do, you can never be remarried. Let's have some real talk. The main techniques you need are simply trusting in God and having patience. However, this is a dangerous motive, because, to succeed in entrepreneurship, you need to be able to submit to other people. If you ask most Christians why they want success in business, they'll say something like, "to make a lot of money, so I can extend the Kingdom of God." This is a noble motivation, but most Christians who say this are lying to themselves, because they believe God would not approve of their true motive. Here's the problem: when you lie to yourself about why you want success, you won't be successful. Success is built on true motives. And guess what, if your true motive is to make a lot of money to have an enjoyable life for you and your family, God is cool with that. As believers with entrepreneurial callings, we desire to see people discover Jesus through our work. But how does that happen? Some people believe that serving and loving people through our work is enough, and that indirectly they will eventually come to experience Jesus. However, others say that you have to be more bold and direct. Is there a correct way? Well, there is one way for people to be saved, but many ways to warm them up to consider the possibility of accepting Jesus.
