Business Not As Usual with Megan Yelaney

Your unique way of doing things IS your ticket to success in business. When we see someone successful and change EVERYTHING we do to try and emulate that success without analysis, we slow down our growth. Why? Because their way isn't necessarily OUR way. We have to lean into our strengths and natural instincts and build upon those instead of trying to fit ourselves in a box we were never meant to be in. I'm diving deep into this concept in today's episode and sharing some mistakes I've made (so you don't have to) AND our TikTok strategy 😍 (Random but valuable nonetheless!) Sneak Peek of Today's episode 1: It's very easy to make the wrong diagnosis in your business & unnecessarily change things around. I thought the problem was launching; it wasn't. It was the frequency and the structure of the offers AFTER the launch was over. 2: Don't get distracted by other people's success who have completely different strengths than you. I tried to be more "flowy" and in the moment with my launches and planning, and that's just not who I am. I'm a planner. In the past five years he's grown a large social media following by posting junk food (Seriously.) He never thought what he did was anything special, but so many people seem to be confused as to how to balance their fitness goals with their regular life so he's really found his niche. What do successful people have in common? ↑The age-old question that everyone seems to ask themselves. This interview was an extra special one for Mike & I because James & Angela are our personal relationship & intimacy coaches; who we've been working with since October 2021. They have completely revitalized our marriage and intimacy in SO many ways (which we get into in depth in this episode), but also have an incredibly unique story that I KNOW will impact you. It's funny how sometimes you have to veer so far off course to go right back to where you were at the start. But the thing is, that 'where you were' is now from a completely different perspective after that long trip. That's exactly what I feel like has happened to me and my business in the last few months, but was magnified after I had my first 1-1 call with my new business coach this past weekend. The FIRST couple interview in our new series: Couples Conversations, where my husband and I interview successful entrepreneur couples and how they juggle it all: family, money, business, and yes…even sex. Eve is the creator of the Macro Nutrition Coaching Certification (Macro Mentorship) a 4-month NASM, AFAA, and ISSA approved CEU group coaching certificate program plus business course for health coaches. Randall an investor, day trader and the CFO for G-Transformation Academy. He has a BA in Sports Management and a MBA in Applied Management. He is a former college defensive lineman who also played professional football in the UIFL and UIFL. Always a big guy with not so great eating habits, during his football career Randall averaged a playing weight that ranged from 295-305 pounds. After hanging up the cleats, Randall continued to engage in the same bad eating habits he had acquired, and practiced, during the majority of his early life. Just one year later, he weighed in at his highest weight of 386 pounds. After Randall decided he was done being out of shape and unhealthy, he tried many (unsuccessful) dieting fads. In January of 2014, he dedicated himself to a healthy lifestyle, vowing to lose at least 100 pounds. Sixteen months later he accomplished this feat through macro counting, weight lifting, and HIIT (high-intensity interval training). Today, Randall is more motivated than ever to continue his healthy lifestyle and get into the best shape of his life while helping others do the same. Randall is down a total of 125 pounds. My version of 'tough love' is comin out in this episode in hopes that it helps drive you into inspired and aligned action. We hear 'flowy business' so much in the online space and while I feel that's SO possible, it also isn't possible ALL the time or in the very beginning stages of business (for most people). In this episode I'm sharing my beginning journey and how I had to get resourceful AF when shit simply wasn't working for me. I followed the process my upline taught me in my network marketing company and when it felt unaligned and out of date, I didn't quit or complain that "this just doesn't work." I figured it out. I asked questions. I got curious. I googled A LOT. And I didn't place blame OR praise on other people for why I was or wasn't having the success I wanted. I took radical responsibility and showed up when it wasn't convenient and when I didn't feel like it. I 100% believe you can have a flowy business, but it's gonna take a little bit of grit & perseverance (okay, A LOT a bit) to get to that point; and I'd hate for you to think you're doing something 'wrong' because it's been a hard season for you. You're NOT doing anything wrong. It is just part of the path to success in entrepreneurship. It has been six months since my miscarriage and because of the type of pregnancy I had, we were told we might have to wait 6-12 months to start trying again. So when the doctor walked in and immediately exclaimed, "NOW"... I was at first confused (not realizing what he meant lol) and then elated. But pretty quickly I realized my husband, while incredibly happy, also had this cloud of deep sadness around him. Because every good thing that happens to us right now is bittersweet because we can't tell his dad who passed away in March of this year. In this episode we discuss... It's a slippery slope when we identify solely with what makes us money or what brings us accolades, achievement, recognition, etc. The highs are OH so high, but the lows? I have shared all year how much I've changed in my business; how it looks completely different today than it did a few years ago when I was making a shit ton of $$, but on the verge of burnout. We decided to modify ours because our intention for doing this challenge is to connect more together while in a very busy season of life. As per usual, we're getting very honest in this episode, and I'm sharing how I've been craving and feeling a big change coming in my business for quite some time now. 💰Day 3 is all about Appropriately PRICING Your Offer "How do I price my offer?" ↑Hands down one of the most debated and stressed over questions out there in the online space. In today's training I'm helping you pick a starting price for your offer by considering three factors: 1: The industry frames of reference for different offers. There's no rule for how to price, but there are guidelines — and I'll give them to you here. 2: How to design a payment plan that works for everyone who's right for your offer 3: Adapting your offers to the economy & world changes that affect your audience: Discussing downsells, payment plans, and evergreen vs open close cart offers SELLING THE OFFER BONUS: Real life examples of effectively selling different price point offers at the same time. Pricing can be a tricky egg. You want to take your client and their lifestyle into consideration, of course and make it as fair as possible. But you also don't want to price it so low that people who AREN'T right for your offer join, and then don't apply themselves, because it's barely a drop in the bucket. It's gotta be a price they take SERIOUSLY. You also need to pay the bills and deserve to get paid WELL for the work you do. The transformations you provide are WORTH it. What else is new, I'm admitting an embarrassing truth on this Heart to Heart episode… There was a point in my business where my motivation to make more $$ was to impress other coaches on Instagram.
