It's not easy to ask for help, especially when you feel like you're 'starting over.' But that's exactly what Sami, our SOSA student feature of the day, did when she joined us last year. Sami pivoted from digital nomad coaching to relationship coaching and was struggling to really find her flow with content and sign clients in this new niche. I've been on a Podcast tour lately and a big topic I've been discussing is how to show up on social media and for your business in general when your personal life is HAP-PEN-ING! I LOVE MONEY. Let me start by saying that. I love what money can do when in the hands of good people. I love the experiences and life money has afforded me and my clients. I love the impact I've been able to make with money. But what I didn't love along this business journey? Was how attached my worth as a human became SO TIED to how much money I made, not to mention my daily mood swings. Good income month? Happy as a clam. Lower income month? It's the end of the world. Over the last two years I've done a lot of work re-wiring these habits and I can say with complete confidence I've come out on the other side. The funny part? My MONEY goals are actually way WAY bigger today than they were a few years ago. But I no longer look at the achievement of my goals in a specified time period as an indicator of my worthiness. I no longer base my moods on money. And my friend, it's the most freeing feeling in the world. I'm happy. I love my life. And money gets to be a beautiful part of it, enhancing experiences and giving my family and I choices. And I'll never take that for granted for one minute. I promise if you ever work in ANY of my programs to always help you build a business in a way that helps you have a healthy relationship with money; one that expands you and doesn't stress you. What else is new, I'm getting vulnerable in today's heart to heart and sharing a fear that's come up for me in the past few weeks as I've been working through a program called To Be Magnetic. This program is all about rewiring subconscious beliefs to manifest what you desire, and I went into this honestly thinking it would be a breeze and I wouldn't have much to work through, because honestly? I truly believe I can create the life I desire, because I already have in so many ways. But when I went to do the work this fear of "can I truly be the successful CEO I want to be AND the mom I want to be all at the same time?" thought kept coming up as my husband and I are back in the trying to conceive journey. I have NO DOUBT this one will resonate with my mom entrepreneurs or any entrepreneurs who want to eventually be a mom one day, but even if you don't fall in this camp, I think it'll bring up the power of our minds and how working on ourselves truly IS THE KEY to growing our business. Your unique way of doing things IS your ticket to success in business. When we see someone successful and change EVERYTHING we do to try and emulate that success without analysis, we slow down our growth. Why? Because their way isn't necessarily OUR way. We have to lean into our strengths and natural instincts and build upon those instead of trying to fit ourselves in a box we were never meant to be in. This interview was an extra special one for Mike & I because James & Angela are our personal relationship & intimacy coaches; who we've been working with since October 2021. It's funny how sometimes you have to veer so far off course to go right back to where you were at the start. The FIRST couple interview in our new series: Couples Conversations, where my husband and I interview successful entrepreneur couples and how they juggle it all: family, money, business, and yes…even sex. Eve is the creator of the Macro Nutrition Coaching Certification (Macro Mentorship) a 4-month NASM, AFAA, and ISSA approved CEU group coaching certificate program plus business course for health coaches. Randall an investor, day trader and the CFO for G-Transformation Academy. He has a BA in Sports Management and a MBA in Applied Management. He is a former college defensive lineman who also played professional football in the UIFL and UIFL. Always a big guy with not so great eating habits, during his football career Randall averaged a playing weight that ranged from 295-305 pounds. After hanging up the cleats, Randall continued to engage in the same bad eating habits he had acquired, and practiced, during the majority of his early life. Just one year later, he weighed in at his highest weight of 386 pounds. After Randall decided he was done being out of shape and unhealthy, he tried many (unsuccessful) dieting fads. In January of 2014, he dedicated himself to a healthy lifestyle, vowing to lose at least 100 pounds. Sixteen months later he accomplished this feat through macro counting, weight lifting, and HIIT (high-intensity interval training). Today, Randall is more motivated than ever to continue his healthy lifestyle and get into the best shape of his life while helping others do the same. Randall is down a total of 125 pounds. My version of 'tough love' is comin out in this episode in hopes that it helps drive you into inspired and aligned action. We hear 'flowy business' so much in the online space and while I feel that's SO possible, it also isn't possible ALL the time or in the very beginning stages of business (for most people). In this episode I'm sharing my beginning journey and how I had to get resourceful AF when shit simply wasn't working for me. I followed the process my upline taught me in my network marketing company and when it felt unaligned and out of date, I didn't quit or complain that "this just doesn't work." I figured it out. I asked questions. I got curious. I googled A LOT. And I didn't place blame OR praise on other people for why I was or wasn't having the success I wanted. I took radical responsibility and showed up when it wasn't convenient and when I didn't feel like it. I 100% believe you can have a flowy business, but it's gonna take a little bit of grit & perseverance (okay, A LOT a bit) to get to that point; and I'd hate for you to think you're doing something 'wrong' because it's been a hard season for you. You're NOT doing anything wrong. It is just part of the path to success in entrepreneurship. TRIGGER WARNING: Miscarriage mentioned Last Thursday my husband and I anxiously sat in the OBGYN's office waiting to hear when we could start trying for a baby again. It has been six months since my miscarriage and because of the type of pregnancy I had, we were told we might have to wait 6-12 months to start trying again. So when the doctor walked in and immediately exclaimed, "NOW"... I was at first confused (not realizing what he meant lol) and then elated. But pretty quickly I realized my husband, while incredibly happy, also had this cloud of deep sadness around him. Because every good thing that happens to us right now is bittersweet because we can't tell his dad who passed away in March of this year. In this episode we discuss... I talk about how I dealt with seeing friends get pregnant and have babies during this time, how I handled the waves of grief, and how I showed up (or didn't) for work during this time. If you need to take a break when you're grieving, take a break. If you need to dive into work when you're grieving, dive into work. If you want to keep it all to yourself, keep it all to yourself. If you want to share it with the world, share it with the world. The biggest thing I've learned? Is to make sure within all of those choices, I let myself FEEL and process, otherwise I'll never work through the pain.
