(HEART TO HEART) The Slippery Slope Of Attaching Your Worth to How Much Money You Make

I LOVE MONEY. Let me start by saying that. I love what money can do when in the hands of good people. I love the experiences and life money has afforded me and my clients. I love the impact I've been able to make with money.

But what I didn't love along this business journey? Was how attached my worth as a human became SO TIED to how much money I made, not to mention my daily mood swings.

Good income month? Happy as a clam.

Lower income month? It's the end of the world.

Over the last two years I've done a lot of work re-wiring these habits and I can say with complete confidence I've come out on the other side.

The funny part? My MONEY goals are actually way WAY bigger today than they were a few years ago. But I no longer look at the achievement of my goals in a specified time period as an indicator of my worthiness. I no longer base my moods on money.

And my friend, it's the most freeing feeling in the world.

I'm happy. I love my life. And money gets to be a beautiful part of it, enhancing experiences and giving my family and I choices. And I'll never take that for granted for one minute.
