Ep 291291: Breaking Free From the Hustle Harder Trap
In this week's episode, we're talking about a concept that has become more and more toxic in today's workplace culture… …and one that has done very little good in the social selling and networking marketing industries, too. And that is: HUSTLING. In this 22-minute episode, you'll learn: —> Why our Love, Serve, Grow framework is the radically different plan you need to break free of hustling —> What slowing down actually allows us to do (and why!) —> How you need to shift the way you work your business —> A way better approach to the "results-focused" way of working we've all been taught —> Why it's so critical to simplify your business and do LESS I also have a SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT about something that I've created to support you in all of these areas… …and to help you begin to leave that Hustle Harder mentality in the DUST.

Ep 290290: 3 Steps to Simplify Your Business
Which do you value more: time freedom or financial freedom? Most people in this profession have these priorities completely backwards and it is holding them back in a big way. If you're single and don't want any life outside your business-no need to change. But if you are a mother or father, husband or wife, and you value FAMILY and FREEDOM, take 15 minutes out of your day to listen to today's episode. This episode is kicking off the Friday Simplify Series: a series of 4 episodes starting today and happening on each of the next 3 Fridays. The Friday Simplify Series is going to teach you how to simplify your business by doing less so you can have more of what you actually want. Make sure you tune in to hear each episode of the series!

Ep 289289: What's Your Personal Definition of Success?
The #1 problem you have in your business right now isn't that you lack TIME or ABILITY. It's simply that you've been chasing SOMEONE ELSE'S definition of success (not your own)! Today I'm going to help you get clear on a CRITICAL part of the process to finally break free from the HUSTLE HARDER TRAP. So you can find a new level of success and fulfillment in your business. In this episode, you'll learn: - how to get unstuck from shame-based leadership - breaking free from hustle hard trap - how to create alignment and take vision aligned actions - figuring out your personal vision

Ep 288288: How to Identify Your Growth Oriented Actions (GOAs)
STOP avoiding your Red Light Stories! While we often talk about the negative side of Red Light Stories, they actually serve an INCREDIBLY important purpose in your business. I'm sure most of you have some major Red Light Stories that have come to the surface so far in this series. I want to tell you that they're not something for you to resist. Right on the other side of a Red Light Story is a GROWTH ORIENTED ACTION (GOA). GOAs are the key to long term sustainable success and fulfillment in your business. BUT they require a shift in your EXPECTATIONS and FOCUS – (from RESULTS to GROWTH). It's making the shift from being TRANSACTIONAL to TRANSFORMATIONAL. In this episode, you'll learn: - how red light stories can lead you to your own personal growth - why you need to shift your focus from results to growth - steps in identifying your GOAs - how to move from your comfort zone to your growth zone - why managing your mind is key in transforming your RLS into GOAs

Ep 287287: Are You Transactional or Transformational?
The word SALES has a funny way of stirring up uncomfortable emotions in a lot of people. If you're struggling to reach your sales goals each month or you're having a hard time talking about your business opportunity with your prospects, I'm betting the word SALES has that uncomfortable effect on you. And it's holding you back from sharing your business. That's exactly why you'll want to check out this week's episode.. I'm talking about the difference between transactional selling and transformational selling — and what a huge difference transformational sales can be in your business (and your life). In this 25-minute episode, you'll learn: —> Why sales skills are fundamental to leadership and succeeding at just about everything —> The characteristics of transactional selling vs. transformational selling —> How transformational sales can help you feel SO much more comfortable about selling —> How to shift to a transformational approach (or deepen into this approach if you're already using it) —> Why service vs. sales isn't an either/or conversation (they go hand-in-hand!)

Ep 286286: What's More Important, Marketing or Sales?
Are you making this HUGE mistake in your network marketing business? I see it all the time. So many people in this profession spend a majority of time on marketing (social media) strategies and skills, without ever learning how to effectively sell. But there's a big problem with this approach. You're focusing too much on attraction marketing and it will leave you running on a treadmill or to a dead end in your business. There is a skill you're missing that is absolutely critical to your chances of success. In this episode, I share how you can develop effective sales skills so that your content leads to conversations, and your conversations turn to sales.

Ep 285285: The 4 Biggest Lies We're Told in Network Marketing
I didn't want to have to be the one to tell you this, but… Most of what you've been taught about success is holding you back in your network marketing business. Whether you're in your first year of network marketing or you've been around the block a few times, you've been bombarded with ways to make your business successful. Uplines, mentors, and people on social media have been feeding you strategies on how to reach time and financial freedom. However, for many of these people, the pursuit of SUCCESS eventually becomes the catalyst for failure. There is SO much outdated advice and practices that are literally running network marketing businesses to the ground (oftentimes before they even get started). And it's time to change the conversation. In this episode, I'll walk through the biggest (and most damaging) lies that we're all told in network marketing and social selling.

Ep 284284: Stop Saying You Don't Have Enough Time
When you think about the results you're seeing in your network marketing business, do you consistently wish they were better? And when you think about WHY your results aren't where you'd like them to be, do you consistently think, "Well, it's just that I don't have enough TIME to build my business." It's so easy to fall into the trap of thinking if we DO MORE, GIVE MORE…then we can be successful. It is absolutely necessary for you to break through a very common excuse about "not having enough time" so you can start achieving greater levels of success. And I'm going to help you do just that. You'll also learn… Why time is NEVER the reason you can't build your business Why even if you had MORE time, you'd likely be in the exact same place What the REAL issue is in your business, and… How to start fixing THAT! If you feel like time is the issue that's keeping you from building the business of your dreams, then you definitely need to make time (only 13 minutes!) to listen to this episode.

Ep 283283: Do 9 out of 10 People Really Fail in Network Marketing?
Learn three things to say when people tell you network marketing is 'a scam'…. Today I want to address the objection almost every single network marketing HATER will give you when they try to trash our industry... How can you call something a 'legitimate opportunity' when 9 out of 10 people fail (aka never make any money)? Of all the objections that people give about network marketing, this is probably the one that stings the most… …and always leaves you wishing that you knew the best way to respond to it. Well, wish no more, because in this week's podcast episode, I'll be teaching you exactly how you can respond to this annoying question with confidence. Because there are actually THREE important reasons why this objection is completely false. In this episode, you'll learn: —> That network marketing is not even close to the only industry or line of work where the failure rate is high —> What key factor among network marketers makes the failure rate look so high —> And what other criteria there is to measure success in networking marketing

Ep 282282: How to Re-Energize Your Team #AskBob
In today's #AskBob podcast episode, I answer these three questions from you – my listeners… #1 - How do I re-energize my team? #2 - How do I coach and work with new team members? #3 - How do I avoid feeling exhausted while working towards my goals? If you have ever struggled with any of these issues, today's episode is just for you. If you have a question you'd like for me to answer on a future podcast episode, you can submit it to me via Instagram or leave your question as a review right here on iTunes.

Ep 281281: The Difference Between Success and Achievement
What is your definition of success? A lot of people believe that achievement and success are one and the same. It's the reason why most of us pursue achievement – working really hard, grinding, sacrificing, and hustling just to hit goals. We think that these achievements are going to make us more worthy and adequate. However, as we achieve more (creating success from a place of scarcity and fear), we feel worse about ourselves. Imposter syndrome kicks in, red light stories keeps on driving in our heads, and so we become prisoners of our business. In this episode, I share how you can overcome the achievement trap and define success to experience long term fulfillment in your life and business. On February 15th, I'm hosting a FREE Masterclass on how to run the #1 tool for rank advancement on your team – Weekly Accountability Meetings. Sign up today >>> www.yourvirtualupline.com/wam

Ep 280280: Focus on Progress Over Perfection
What matters most to you – PROGRESS or PERFECTION? Let's say at the beginning of the month you have a goal, and in the process of taking action and moving towards achieving that goal, you are growing, transforming, and building confidence in yourself. However, as you reach the end of the month, you fall short of hitting the goal. And that horrible voice begins racing through your head – 'I'm a FAILURE.' You feel like a failure because you're comparing your reality to where you wanted to be at the end of the month. However, instead of focusing on the 'gap,' compare where you are today to where you started. Focus on the 'gain' – the growth and the progress you made – and celebrate your small wins! Remember, the true purpose of a goal is not achieving it, it's to help you grow and become better. In this episode, I share the life-changing shift in perspective that will help you experience sustainable success and fulfillment in your business. On February 15th, I'm hosting a FREE Masterclass on how to run the #1 tool for rank advancement on your team – Weekly Accountability Meetings. Sign up today >>> www.yourvirtualupline.com/wam

Ep 279279: How to Save Yourself 5.5 Hours Every Single Week
Are you spending ALL of your precious time working with your team members? And there's very little progress to show for it at the end of the month? This is one of the traps that accidental leaders fall into when building their businesses – spending your precious and limited time in ways that do not move your business forward. Meaning the business doesn't grow. However, your frustration and stress does. Let's say you have 6 team members, and you spend an hour with each person – that's 6 hours a week. And a lot of times, you're repeating the same things with each person - saying the same things over and over again. Isn't that wasting your valuable time? How about bringing those people together and systematically coaching them in a small group format? Isn't that more time efficient? In this episode, I teach you about Weekly Accountability Meetings, how to use them working with your team, and how you can have more free time while helping people succeed faster. On February 15th, I'm hosting a FREE Masterclass on how to run the #1 tool for rank advancement on your team – Weekly Accountability Meetings. Sign up today >>> www.yourvirtualupline.com/wam

Ep 278278: Are Your Running Your Business Like the Dollar Store?
Have you trained a new team member, just to see them not ever taking any action? Frustrating, right?! You've recruited somebody, spent a lot of hours training and coaching them. But at the end of the day, they were never willing and really serious to do the work (despite everything they've said to you). And then we find ourselves "in love with their potential." We hold on to what they could or might possibly do for WAY too long, and in the end, it just brings pain and suffering. Here's what I want you to understand -- their willingness to do the work might not be the problem. Maybe part of the problem is your willingness to quickly sign anyone up without even identifying if they are the right people for your team. Let this sink in to the deepest parts of your mind and soul --- YOU are NOT the Dollar Store – working with anyone who walks through the door. It's time for you to value your business by working with the right people – your ideal customers and team members. In this episode, I share why you need to work with the right people and how to identify the right fit for your team so you'll create value in what you're doing. On February 15th, I'm hosting a FREE Masterclass on how to run the #1 tool for rank advancement on your team – Weekly Accountability Meetings. Ep 277277: Why Starting Small is So Important for Success
Did you know that starting small is THE KEY to sustainable success in your business? If you're like 75% of the world's population (and like me!), you started the year with some type of goal or New Year's Resolution – a fitness goal, rank advancement, business growth, etc. And to meet these goals, we're going to take all kinds of 'massive action' to achieve them, because most of us believe that doing more is the key to success. However, the problem is that we lose steam because we realize we're not capable of taking all of this massive action to reach these goals. And so, many of us get discouraged and eventually STOP altogether. Here's the thing, the common belief that 'more is the key to success' is a LIE. Success is not doing more. It's doing better at less. In this episode, I teach you a concept we use in my membership groups called the 'Minimum Baseline Activity,' which I believe will set you up for success in every one of your goals, both in your business and in the rest of your life.

Ep 276276: Why RIGHT NOW is the Greatest Time in History for NWM
Did you know that 75 million people quit jobs in 2021? This mass exodus is being called 'The Great Resignation' or 'The Big Quit.' More people than ever before are questioning their jobs and careers and asking themselves if they're really happy doing what they're doing and what would make them happier. The pandemic was a really horrible experience, but it compelled us to re-evaluate our work-life priorities and identify what's most important to us all. According to a recent Forbes article, the throngs of people leaving their jobs want: —> A bigger salary —> More career opportunities —> A feeling of value from their leaders —> Better relationships with their colleagues —> The ability to continue working remotely They also want to do work that MATTERS. Wouldn't it be awesome if something like that actually existed? OH WAIT…. The networking marketing business offers these opportunities, and so that's why RIGHT NOW is the greatest time in history for our profession. The key question is… Can you really BELIEVE in these things when talking with people, even if they haven't happened for you yet? In this episode, I talk about why today is the greatest time for Network Marketing and how you can start envisioning and building a purpose-driven business that gives freedom and fulfillment today.

Ep 275275: A Radically Different Way to Think about Leadership
What if the ultimate goal for our business is to become INSIGNIFICANT within it? I was in a network marketing company that celebrated rank advancements and sales by putting you in front of a large room full of people. The spotlight was such a big deal. It was the goal. It was coveted by everybody so much that it became even more valuable than money. And so, the first time I gave an actual presentation, I felt ecstatic about it. I thought 'This is what leadership is.' However, a powerful conversation completely changed my mindset on leadership. This guy, who at the time was 10x more successful than any other person in our company, told me that his value as a leader is not tied to his personal results, but by the results of the people on his team. He said that it's not about how many times you stand in front of a room, but how many stories you help create for other people. You see, the more successful we become, the less significant we need to become as well. In this episode, I share the dangers of ego-driven leadership and what it means to build a true leadership legacy.

Ep 274274: Are You Taking Growth Oriented Actions (GOA's)?
What's more important in your business – RESULTS or GROWTH? We hear it over and over inside the network marketing industry… That the secret to success is focusing on the income producing activities (IPA's) of your business. IPA's are the front-end activities that we do in the business to create leads - activities like prospecting, creating content on social media, giving presentations, sharing your products with people, etc. However, when we take action, we also get extremely focused on the results. And when we don't see the results that we want to see or expect, we begin to get discouraged and doubt ourselves. Here's the thing — focusing on IPAs might produce short-term personal success, but they will never contribute to the long-term growth of your business. If you want to see long-term sustainable success in your business, you need to shift your mindset and activity to what I like to call Growth Oriented Actions (GOA's). In this episode, I teach why focusing on IPA is a formula for failure and how you can shift to growth oriented actions to achieve sustainable business growth.

Ep 273273: How to Prospect Without Feeling Like a Salesperson
Are you worried about sounding (and feeling!) like a salesperson when talking to prospects? And is that fear affecting your results? This is one of THE biggest concerns we, as network marketers, have. Honestly, it's one of the reasons so many people avoid our industry and profession! Sounding like a salesperson and being concerned only about 'the sale' or 'the new recruit' is a major turnoff to people joining your team! If you are coming off as a bit 'salesy,' it might be because you're building your business with a SALES mindset. People with a sales mindset are focused on the results and the results alone. They constantly pitch their products and services to people that don't even have a legitimate need for them. But, if you're listening to this podcast, I know YOU want to be different. You want 2022 to be different. And that means you must lean into having a SERVICE mindset. And to have a service mindset, you must stop focusing on the results and start serving each individual person and what their personal needs are. You need to begin making your conversations intentional and purposeful. Identify the problems people have and solve those problems by asking them the right questions. In this episode, I'll teach you how to build your business without feeling like a salesperson and how to make your prospecting conversations purposeful and intentional and 100% about the person you are serving. I'm sharing two of our LIVE COACHING sessions that we did over on Clubhouse, which I think are both incredibly powerful. The first session is with Lisa. Ep 271271: Are You Using Good Form in Your Business?
Did you know that your business and exercising have a lot in common? After all the holiday festivities, maybe you've stepped up your workout regimen. And if so, you know that one concept that is extremely vital in exercise is FORM. In fact, it is way more important than the intensity, frequency, or weight that you can lift. However, what's fascinating is that the same thing applies to our businesses. We start off the year by taking massive action. We do more, more, and more… more presentations, more social media postings, and talk to more people. But here's the problem… We are so focused in getting a number (quantity) that we sacrifice form (quality), which fundamentally leads to failure. Know this -- you'll never see sustainable success and freedom by just focusing on quantity. In this episode, I discuss why you should focus on quality over quantity and why having good FORM is key to business success.

Ep 270270: The Mindset Comes BEFORE the Rank
Happy New Year! It's a fresh start - a new beginning. I believe most of us have already set our goals for 2022. And for so many of you, that probably includes a rank up in your company. So right now, you're deep into thinking about the tactics, strategies, and actions to achieve that next rank. But here's the shift you must make first: the change in your mindset will ALWAYS come before the actual rank. The secret to goal achievement is this: Before thinking about what you're going to do, be clear on the mindset you need for success. Because impossible goals require you to be someone you've never been before, you must think in a way you've never thought and believe things you've never believed before. Understand that your actions don't create your results. It's the MINDSET you have behind the actions. In this episode, I share with you how you can transform your mindset and the way you think so you can achieve those impossible goals this 2022.

Ep 269269: BEST OF 2021: Your Core Story
For the final episode of this year, here is our most popular episode of 2021. Are you getting the results you want in your business right now? Because if you're not, I can almost guarantee you it's for one reason only. You're operating from a Red Light "Core Story." Your Core Story is the story you tell yourself, about YOURSELF. And it's one of THE MOST IMPORTANT concepts we teach people under the new Legacy Leadership Academy program. A 'Red Light' Core Story is one that is based in FEAR and scarcity. One where you feel like you're "not enough." You're comparing yourself constantly to others ... and basing your belief in your future on your LACK of results so far. Are you operating your business from a place of fear and scarcity? From your own personal 'red light core story?' If you want TOTAL FREEDOM in your life and business, this has to change… In our new program, I'll teach you how you can rewrite Your Core Story and how to stop letting your story define you. Remember - Your future is NOT determined by your past. So, maybe it's time that you finally define your story.

Ep 268268: 4 Ways to Build Your Business Over the Holidays
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone! Typically, this time of the year we take a little bit of time to reflect, plan, and spend time with loved ones so that we can start the new year rested, refreshed, and ready to go. I also recognize that there are so many of us who still want to do a few things inside our business to keep the momentum moving forward. However, here is my advice for you during this time of the year: Honor people where they are at in their own businesses and accept the circumstances for what they are. If you have a leader who wants to take some time off, just be okay with it. Your priorities are not always their priorities, and we need to be OK with that. But there are a few things each of us can do to focus on keeping that momentum going. In this podcast episode, I teach you four ways to build your business over the holidays so that you'll enjoy this time of the year as well as keep your business going. Ep 267267: Never Do Anything Alone
I see two common mistakes why leaders struggle in creating independent leaders on their team. #1 – They let go of leaders way too early. #2 – They do everything for their new team members for way too long We, as leaders, are either asking too much of people too early when they are not 100% equipped to do it on their own…and, as a result, they struggle and get stuck in their business instead of becoming effective Or, because we want everything to be perfect, we do too much for our new team members for way too long, which in effect holds people back from being the independent leaders you need them to be. So here's my advice in this aspect of leadership --- Never do anything alone. In this episode, I'll share with you exactly how to implement the "Never Do Anything Alone" strategy in 3 simple phases so you can create strong, indpendent leaders within your team that will help you grow your business. Ep 266266: How Hard Should You Push Your New Recruits?
What is the #1 missed opportunity I see leaders make while onboarding new team members? I see it all the time. You have a new team member. You give them an actionable assignment. They make commitments to do it. And then a week goes by and NOTHING happens. However, instead of calling that team member out, you make it totally OKAY because you're afraid of pushing them away. And so the same pattern continues and eventually that team member fades away. It's a scenario that we've ALL experienced. However, we have to ask ourselves as leaders, what are the long term effects of not ever having the tough conversations with new team members? Here's the thing – when we have the tough conversations with the right people, it actually creates MORE trust and a closer relationship – it doesn't push them away. Calling out the right person is not going to push them away. It's going to draw them closer. We talk about this and more on this week's podcast episode. Ep 265265: How to Rank Up in the Next 30 Days
It's December! Also known as the PERFECT month to think about ALL the things you want to accomplish in 2022! A new year means a fresh start! And I'm betting that, as a network marketer, one of the things at the TOP of your list is ranking up with your company...maybe even multiple times before 2022 is through. But, perhaps that's been your goal all along in 2021….and, for whatever reason, it hasn't happened as you'd hoped. You're doing all the things, even working the extra hours, but for whatever reason you you are stuck and haven't made any real progress. If you find yourself in that place, today's podcast episode is just for you. In it, I talk about the five simple steps you need to take to rank up quickly. And I also announce my upcoming free masterclass, "My 5 Steps to Rank Up in 30 Days." Ep 264264: The 3 Keys to Helping Your New Recruits Get Results
Are you sick and tired of recruiting people to your team -- only to have them fail? So many times we think our newest team member is the also going to be the newest rock star and that individual is 'the key' to your team skyrocketing to the next level. However, because of an ineffective onboarding system, that new team member never takes off as you imagine. In fact, they just stop right in their tracks and quit the business. If this is happening to you, it might be because you are what we call an ACCIDENTAL LEADER. Here's the good news though, with a different mindset and a different plan, you can get out of the accidental leader role. And when you intentionally get out of that Accidental Leader role and start leading in a more intentional way, you can truly impact the lives of the people that join your team. In this episode, I'll give you actual tactics and strategies that you can use with your new recruits to so your new recruits can get the results that they crave. Subscribe to my YouTube Channel!

Ep 263263: My #1 Tip for Black Friday
This episode of the podcast is short and sweet, but an incredibly important piece of advice heading into this year's Black Friday promotions. It's my #1 tip for success over this weekend (and any other weekend for that matter). Success or failure this weekend in your business will be determined by your ability to MANAGE YOUR MIND around the promotions in your business. What you THINK and FEEL are so much more important than what you say or do. Very few people in this profession will actually do this, so if you can execute in this area, I promise you that you'll stand out and crush it this year. Make sure you listen to this short episode before you start contacting everyone with all your Black Friday promotions! More tips for Black Friday! Ep 262262: My Interview with Susan Ramirez Founder of National Angels
In this week's episode of the podcast, I'm talking to one of the most inspiring people I've ever met. She is absolutely a living example of someone who is loving, serving, and growing through her work in the world. Susan Ramirez is the founder and CEO of National Angels, an organization that helps foster care community by offering consistent support through intentional giving, relationship building, and mentorship. Susan spent the first several years of her career working in corporate America, but then, after attending a conference about foster and adoption, she felt a powerful calling to completely change her life's path. I have an exciting announcement to share with you today. We are officially looking to expand our small but mighty team, and I am hoping that you may be able to help us find the right person. We are currently looking to hire a Digital Product Manager for our business. This person will play a critical role in helping us with our mission of positively impacting 100 million people all over the world through Love Serve Grow. My team works hard, runs fast, and like to have a good laugh as well. And we also highly value the personal freedom to get our jobs done when it works best for each of us on a daily basis. In terms of the ideal candidate, we're looking for someone who has direct experience in a Digital Product Manager role, is a growth-minded leader, loves working with people and learning new things, and someone who's values align with ours. If you know of someone who is achievement-oriented, loves to help others, and is highly organized, then please share the job description I've linked below! Or, if that's YOU, we would love for you to apply! However, there is one thing I want to make clear for this position… This future team member will not have an active network marketing business or be currently building a personal brand/online business. http://www.yourvirtualupline.com/workwithus

Ep 259259: Are YOU Your Perfect Prospect?
Are you struggling to identify the characteristics of your perfect customer or team member? More than likely, it's because you're thinking way too general and 'big picture' when it comes to their 'customer avatar.' You're using general statements like…. - I want to find someone that wants a better life / improve themselves. - I want someone that wants to lose weight or look better. - I want someone that isn't feeling happy or fulfilled in life. If you want to stand out and really attract the RIGHT PEOPLE, you MUST start getting very specific in this area. The more specific you get, the better! Because when you have this person clearly in mind and you can create messaging and content that speaks to them in way that makes them feel you are talking 1-on-1 with just them, not only does it help you connect on a deeper level with them, but it also gives you a newfound sense of passion and purpose. In this episode, I'll teach you how to identify your ideal customer or ideal team member for your business so you can create content that truly resonates to them. Subscribe to my YouTube Channel!

Ep 260260: {Biz Tip Friday} Should You Share Your Company Name with a Prospect?
Have you ever been given these instructions…. 'Don't ever mention your company name to prospects.' Wait a minute! You've joined a business that you're passionate in sharing, and then you hear this advice?!! I began thinking about it, and I realized, it comes from a fear-based, scarcity thinking. It simply adds to the red light stories that our prospects have around network marketing, like you're trying to hide something. Here's the thing, telling someone your company name is not going to make or break your business. It's what you do after that will either build or break your business. Because, despite the negative press, real prospects will still make a decision that feels right to them. In this Biz Tip Friday, I will discuss with you exactly how to share your business in a way that people can connect and relate to. Subscribe to my YouTube Channel!

Ep 258258: How Do You Actually Change Your Beliefs?
In the LOVE, SERVE, GROW framework I teach to build your business, I talk a LOT about BELIEFS. And, more specifically, the idea of how to change your beliefs. However, I have noticed that a lot of people struggle because they are asking the wrong questions. So, here's the shift that I want to make. Instead of asking yourself, "How do I change my beliefs?" Start recognizing what your beliefs actually are and if they are TRUE or NOT. Remember, you are not your story. You are the AUTHOR. You have the power to decide what things mean in your life. It's not about changing your beliefs. It's about learning how to tell different stories. In this episode, I'll teach you how to recognize and test your beliefs and how to take responsibility by becoming the AUTHOR of your story. Join Legacy Leadership Academy! Ep 257257: {Biz Tip Friday} Do You Really Need to Know YOUR WHY?
There's a question that gets asked over and over in our profession that I have an issue with. "What is your WHY?" But do you really need to know your WHY to be successful? The answer: NO. So I'm suggesting this instead -- Quit asking prospects and new team members, "What's your WHY?" Instead, ask them, "What is the problem that you want to solve?" We need to make that shift from a SALES mindset to a SERVICE mindset. Rather than thinking just about making money, get your team members to begin thinking like a paid problem solver. I know your team members will be more excited to share solutions to problems than the features, facts, and figures of your product. In this Biz Tip Friday, I'll share with why you don't need to know your WHY to be successful and how to get your people to think like a paid problem solver. Join Legacy Leadership Academy! Ep 256256: The Right Way to Set Goals for Your New Recruits
How do you train your new team members? Is it based on how much money they want to earn? Or how much time they want to dedicate to their business? I am not saying it's wrong to ask new people, "How much money do you want to make?" But this traditional approach of onboarding is not enough to set meaningful goals for your recruits. In fact, if that's what you're asking people then you are not really serving them in their business. I want you to understand that financial goals becomes meaningful only when they are tied to the actual needs of your new team member. In this episode, I'll share with you how to set meaningful goals for your prospects, and how to build a great onboarding system for your recruits and team members. Ep 255255: {Biz Tip Friday} Stop Being a 'Fake Friend' to Your Team!
Are your personal relationships getting in the way of you leading your team? Personal relationships are one of the BIGGEST obstacles in building a successful and thriving team. I like to call it the 'relational roadblock.' We highly value our friendships and relationships; however, if you value friendship over leadership then you're actually becoming a 'fake friend.' I want you to understand that friendship and leadership are NOT mutually exclusive. Leading is not sacrificing friendships. It is actually going to the next level and becoming a 'real friend' to your team members. In this podcast episode, I'll teach you what it takes to be a 'real friend' and how to lead your team with accountability, without the fear of sacrificing friendships. Ep 254254: The Cost of Your Products does NOT Matter if You Do THIS
Have you ever had a potential customer struggle with the COST of your products? And then you begin worrying about asking people to buy because of the money they would need to spend, especially now that people are just starting to recover financially from the pandemic? Here's the main reason WHY you're worried -- YOU are focused on the PRICE. The secret to getting customers does NOT rely on price. What really matters is the perceived VALUE. When your customer begin seeing your products as a solution to their problems instead of just a replaceable product, the price becomes completely irrelevant to their decision to purchase. In this episode, I'll share with you how you can create immense value in what you're offering so that the cost of your product becomes irrelevant to all of your prospective customers! Ep 253253: {Biz Tip Friday} Don't Just Make Sales, Get People Results!
Are you struggling in getting customers? Or when you do have a customer, are you creating lifelong clients? If not, it's probably because of one thing – you're solely focused on just MAKING the SALE. In your mind, the finish line looks like this – getting people to buy, and then moving on, looking for the next 'new customer.' You are not working with people in way that actually turns them into a lifelong client. Here's the truth - the lifeblood of your business isn't about how many customers you get. It's about how happy and satisfied are they in your business. In this Biz Tip Friday, I'll teach you how to stop focusing on making sales and start focusing on getting people the results and transformation they are seeking, so you can actually create a lifelong business. The right people – both customers and business partners - are right in front of you every, single day. But, you're too busy imagining what they would say to you – sometimes even having a full-blown conversation inside your head with them! – that when it's time to talk to a prospect in real life, you clam up and can't get a single word out of your mouth! But the good news is: there's a really simple approach you can take that can alleviate the stress of trying to figure out what to say to your prospects. You ask them questions. In this week's podcast episode, I'm teaching you how you can identify the right people for your business and how you can create more value by asking your prospects the right questions at the right time. Ep 250250: What to Say on Social Media to Find the Perfect Prospect
Are you getting 'ghosted' a lot in DMs when talking to prospects? One day you're chatting back and forth, and they're excited about the products and opportunities. The next? Poof! They're gone! They no longer reply. And you're left wondering, what in the world did I say or do that was SO wrong? Well, here's the reason why… It's because you rushed presenting your product or business without spending enough time on fact-finding. A lot of people aren't successful prospecting on social media because they focus on curiosity marketing. They jump right in, posting their products or opportunity, without even identifying the right questions to ask that will generate an authentic need for the product or business. In today's episode, I'll share with you how to communicate your product on social media without being too salesy and attract the perfect prospects for your business. I also share with you the five sales myths, when it comes to social media, that just simply are NOT true. Interested in learning more about the RIGHT way to prospect on social media? Ep 247247: 5 Benefits of Weekly Accountability Meetings (WAMs)
Here's the reality -- the bigger your team gets, the more demands you have on your personal time. And, that means most of your time is devoted in working with team members 1-on-1, doing individual calls, and answering questions. And most leaders wind up spending the majority of their time with the WRONG PEOPLE. Think about how much time you waste each week doing all these things and nothing really comes from it? Your business doesn't grow. But, your frustration does. For you to address this problem, you need a SYSTEM for deciding who to spend your time with AND to develop strong, independent leaders on your team. And trust me, most people in this industry do NOT have a system that does these two things. But, that's exactly what my Weekly Accountability Meetings do. It is a system that allows you to work with the right people in an extremely time efficient way that grows your business AND develops strong leaders on your team for years to come. In this episode, I'll share with you the 5 benefits of WAMs, how you can move from profit to purpose in your business and create a long-term sustainable success. Ep 246246: When is the Right Time to Let a Leader Break Free?
A common struggle of leaders, especially those with a large team, is knowing when it's the right time to pass the baton to the emerging leaders on their team and let them run the race on their own. This is crucial to know, because two things could happen that could impact their long term success and their businesses. One is letting go of leaders way too early. And as a result they struggle and get stuck in their business instead of becoming effective. Another thing is holding people for too long. We train, develop, and do for them for too long and we wind up actually stunting their development. In this Biz Tip Friday, I give you some important advice on when is the right time to let a leader go, and I'll also share the 3 phases to leadership development. Subscribe to my YouTube Channel!

Ep 245245: {Biz Tip Friday} How Much Time Should You Spend Talking About Your Business?
How much time are you spending talking about your business? Here is one of the main reasons why hobbyists and accidental leaders struggle in building a team… They spend way too much time talking about WHAT they do instead of listening to their prospects. Which is the exact opposite of what the top leaders in this profession do. The best leaders spend most of their time listening to prospects, knowing their problems, and helping them solve it through their product or business. Truth be told, prospects don't really care about you. They care about what you can do for them. And they join when they see value in what you do. In this Biz Tip Friday, I talk about how you can create value for your prospects and why talking less and listening more is one of the keys to building a team. Subscribe to my YouTube Channel!
