Ep 142142: {Biz Tip Friday} The Secret to Recruiting Business Builders
Did you know that the very best prospects for your business are oftentimes the ones who don't 'need' to start a side business? Those people are: High income earning professionals Traditional business owners Influential community members People with past network marketing experience Maybe you are too afraid to reach out to these people because they don't appear to 'need' another stream of income or another thing on their plate? However, you need to rethink this! These people have the confidence, belief, self-worth, and advanced personal development to succeed in network marketing. They, in fact, need to be at the very top of your prospecting list! In this podcast, I'm going to teach you a framework I've used in my own business to categorize your prospects into 3 different buckets. This system will help you find the best prospects faster and discover the hidden gold in your contact list, all while conquering the fear to reach out to those ideal prospects! The strategy that I share in this episode comes directly from this month's training inside of my Legacy Leadership Academy. It's a small piece of our April training called "How to Recruit Business Builders." Legacy Leadership Academy is open for FREE right now - no credit card required for sign up! Join now to get the training and become a Legacy Leader through April 30. Enrollment is only open through April 15, so sign up now!

Ep 141141: Love, Serve, Grow
Are you looking for a radically different way to think about and approach growing your network marketing business? Today, I'm going to share with you the LOVE, SERVE, GROW concept, which serves as the foundation of everything we do inside our Legacy Leadership Academy. The idea, itself, is simple. Put LOVE at the center of your business and life and serve others with this thought always first in mind. It's having a mindset that the more you serve - putting other's interest before your own - the more you grow as a person, as a leader. It's having a SERVICE, not a sales, mindset, and understanding that the more you SERVE, the more you GROW. And when I say 'grow,' I mean everything grows as a byproduct - you grow as a person, you grow as a leader, your team grows, your income grows, your impact grows, your happiness, joy, and fulfillment in life grows. Now is not the time for you to SELL as a profession - it's the time for you to SERVE. Show the people in your life that you're DIFFERENT. Reach out to them and show them that you truly care, not that you're out to get a new recruit or the next sale. I'm not telling you to not recruit people if they want to buy and join. I'm just telling you don't make that your focus. And trust me, it's in times like this that people remember more those who cared enough about them and treated them like a human being. DON'T MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY - the Legacy Leadership Academy is now FREE until the end of April! Go to www.legacyleadershipacademy.com/free and you can enroll today, no credit card required, and get total access to all our training, coaching, and support.

Ep 140140: What if Your Desire to Lead is Greater Than Your Ability? #AskBob
Today's #AskBob episode comes from a question I received on Instagram. I have the DESIRE to lead, but I'm wondering whether or not I have the ABILITY to do so? I'm way too hard on myself, and don't really believe in myself as a leader. Can I learn, or is it hopeless? This is something that I know a lot of you are probably struggling with right now. You hear me telling you that this is a 'challenge for you to step up as a leader'. I know most of you have that desire to lead your teams, and be a leader to the people in your life. But I also know that many of you struggle when it comes to your own confidence and belief as a leader. Today's episode I'll share my thoughts with you on this topic. It's something that I'm really passionate about, because for a very long time, I struggled with this same thing. What I want you to know is that leaders aren't BORN, and that every one of you has the seed of leadership inside of you right now. You need to believe that to be true, and you have to be willing to push past your fears and step out there and lead. That's the only way you're going to truly discover that which already lies inside of you. BIG ANNOUNCEMENT - the Legacy Leadership Academy is now FREE until the end of April! Go to www.legacyleadershipacademy.com/free and you can enroll today, no credit card required, and get total access to all our training, coaching, and support. If you know you need help during these challenging times join now, and spread the word to your teams!

Ep 139139: How to Deal with the Coronavirus as a Leader
This may be one of the most important messages that I ever share with you. Amidst the tragedy and chaos that's going on in the world right now exists the seed of an incredible opportunity. What we are dealing with right now in the world is a call to LEADERSHIP. You are being called right now inside of your business to be a LEADER. My advice to you is it should NOT be 'business as usual' for you - I want you to shift gears and take a radically different approach. As a profession right now, we are failing miserably on social media. What the world needs today isn't another sales pitch or marketing promotion - it needs a message of LOVE, inspiration, and HOPE. If you are a position of leadership - The world needs you right now, get on social media, be visible and be heard... Now is the time for us to put our own selfish interests aside from making that next sale, and let's all come together as one, and do our parts to lead the world through this crisis. Don't feed the fear that everyone else is peddling, spread LOVE and become a light for others to follow. Choose to be a part of the SOLUTION, not someone that feeds into the problem. BE THE LIGHT - encourage people through these difficult times, love on people harder than you ever have before, and SHOW UP. Please share this message with your teams and anyone else you know that's in this profession. Ep 138138: What's Your Capacity to Have?
What's your capacity to HAVE in your life? Whether you realize this or not, you have been preconditioned to only accept a certain amount of income and success in your life. I see it all of the time – each of us has this subconscious threshold for money and success. There is an approximate amount of income you earn that you feel comfortable HAVING. And once we meet that threshold, odd things start happening in our businesses. If your income or results rise above this threshold, you'll start to struggle with inconsistency, you go into self-sabotage mode, or you find a way to undermine your results. And most of you (just like me), will get stuck at or around a certain rank advancement or level of results in your business because of this same threshold. Because here's the thing you need to know – the amount of success that you're going to experience is determined by your MINDSET. The real issue for most of us is that we have LIMITING BELIEFS around the areas of money and success that are holding each of us back from the results we want. We, whether it's consciously or subconsciously, believe we can only achieve a certain level success or make a certain amount of money. And when we reach that level, our self-limiting beliefs begin to kick in and limit us from moving farther ahead. We can focus on having the 'right strategies' or taking massive amounts of action, but none of these will ever make a difference unless we each address our self-limiting beliefs. I want you to become aware of these limiting beliefs you have that are holding you back, and consciously adopt a new set of beliefs that will empower you to raise your CAPACITY TO HAVE in all these areas. Join me in this episode as I share with you about mindset coaching and how to overcome your self-limiting beliefs. Ep 137137: {Biz Tip Friday} The #1 Mistake People Make When Training New Consultants
Let's talk about the #1 mistake people make when training their new team members. I see this all of the time. We get a new team member and the first thing we begin doing is TEACHING. We begin going through 'the steps' to building a business, we assign videos to watch, and worst of all, books to read. However, the problem with too much information is that you are overwhelming your new team member. And instead of being excited about the business, they feel bad that they don't have the time to get all of your assignments done. Understand this: More teaching and training does NOT equal more results. So, how should you train a new person? Your Onboarding System must help people visualize the transformation that can occur in their lives when they take action and build a successful business. So listen up as I go deep into the best way to onboard a new team member and also share with you the two strategies you need to be implementing today. Ep 136136: Do the work or You Don't Get to Complain!
You may not want to hear this, but, here's what I want to say to you… If you're not, at the very least, SHOWING UP and doing the work in your business, then you don't get to complain anymore about your lack of results! I think what some of you need is a little 'tough love' in this area -you need someone that cares enough about you to take a stand for you and your future success. As most of you know, we've created the first ever leadership certification program for Network Marketing in the world - The Legacy Leadership Academy. This program is a 12-month program designed to give network marketers everything they need to create success in this industry. And there have been SO many success stories that have come from members of the academy. In fact, some of the students have been guests in the previous episodes of this podcast. However, with all my efforts – designing the program, producing video trainings, and even creating a mobile app – it's so interesting to me that some network marketers are posting on social media how 'stuck they feel' or 'overwhelmed they are.' Because here's the thing - these are also the very same people who consistently do NOT make the time to show up and do the work. Here's your wakeup call -- You do NOT get the right to complain anymore about your 'lack of results' if you aren't willing to show up and do the work. The true reality is that there are people with the exact same challenges that you have right now; yet those people are making the time and taking action. I think it's time for some of you to finally make your success A PRIORITY in your life. Stop the blame game, don't fall into the complaining trap, and start taking action. And the first action I'm assigning to you is listen to this podcast. Then share it with a team member who maybe needs to hear the same message, too! You CAN do this. And I am and always will be your biggest cheerleader! Check out Legacy Leadership Academy waitlist at www.legacyleadershipacademy.com. We open our doors for new members later this Spring.

Ep 135{Biz Tip Friday} How to Authentically Sell Your Products
In this episode of Biz Tip Friday, I'm going to answer the question - 'How do I reach out and share what I do in an AUTHENTIC way, without coming across 'too salesy', to people that I haven't spoken to in a while?' Here's the reality – eventually we are going to saturate our warm market and have to reach out to people that we know but that we haven't been in contact with for a while. However, out of FEAR, network marketers typically aren't willing to actually reach out to these people. We are so worried that we might sound 'too salesy' or 'inauthentic.' However, you must understand that the product that you're offering CAN change someone's life. Therefore, NOT sharing your products with people is the actual definition of being INAUTHENTIC. I want you to completely shift your mindset around this topic and know this: The secret to selling with authenticity and passion is loving what you do SO much that you feel as though you're doing people a disservice if you don't tell them about your product. And here's the key – make it about THEM and about how this product or business opportunity can transform their lives. Check out Legacy Leadership Academy waitlist at www.legacyleadershipacademy.com. Ep 134134: Most Network Marketers aren't Real Business Owners
Do you ever find yourself working long, hard hours in your business - but for some reason can't ever seem to create success? If you answered 'yes' to this question, it's more than likely because you aren't treating your network marketing business like a REAL BUSINESS. If you are still in the early stages of your business and you are building, growing, and learning, it's OK. It can take a lot of work in the beginning to gain momentum while growing your business and team. However, if you've been in your business for over a year and you're still not making any money, it's because you're treating it more like a HOBBY – and that is not OK. You have to really be honest and ask yourself – Am I a Hobbyist? Or am I a REAL business owner? Do you work your business with a plan and a schedule? Or do you work it only when you 'feel motivated' and it's convenient? Do you have a clear vision for your business and how it will impact the world? What are your beliefs on how money is made? Is it a function of time and effort? Or is it a function of working smarter, not harder? These questions and so many more will help you authentically look at yourself and know whether or not you are a hobbyist or a real business owner. And the answers to these questions will also help you decide where you need to show up differently in your business to change for the better and build the business of your dreams. So, tune in as I share with you what defines a hobbyist vs a real business owner in the network marketing profession…including the 2 most important things that Real Business Owners do differently than the Hobbyists that help them create long term success! Ep 133133: {Biz Tip Friday} How to Follow-up with a Prospect
Today I'm introducing a brand new series on my podcast called "Biz Tip Friday." While I absolutely love going deep into a topic inside the network marketing industry like I do on my weekly Tuesday podcast, I also understand that many of you are looking for short, actionable pieces of advice that you can implement quickly that give you HUGE results! In this pilot episode, we cover the topic of following-up with prospects. One of the biggest mistakes I see people making in this area is following up without having a clearly defined next step. I, personally, used to make this mistake all the time. I'd go through all the steps: share a 3rd party tool, answer questions, lead them to a phone call with my upline or a presentation. But, then I'd just leave them out there 'waiting to make a decision.' This is a HUGE MISTAKE!!! What I learned is that when following up with a prospect, you must always have a 'next step' for them. Understand that closing is not a single event. It is a process. Our job is to move the prospect to a predefined next step if they aren't ready to buy or join. This 'exposure process' creates momentum for the close until they reached the point of saying 'yes' or 'no.' Remember this - the people that are truly interested will always take the next step. Just let the process do the work! Check out Legacy Leadership Academy waitlist at www.legacyleadershipacademy.com. We open our doors for new members later this Spring.

Ep 132132: How Vulnerable Should You be with Your Team?
Should you be open and honest about your struggles with your team? I get asked this question a LOT. And in today's podcast, I'm going to tackle the subject most leaders struggle with - VULNERABILITY. As a society, much of the times we view failures and vulnerability as a weakness. We think that if we share our most vulnerable thoughts, emotions, and circumstances we are 'less of a leader' in the eyes of our team. As leaders, we feel like we always need to look like we've 'got it all together.' We tell ourselves a false story that those who are vulnerable and share any low points we've experienced in building our business become less credible to our teams. We associate vulnerability with weakness. And people don't follow or trust weak leaders. At least that's what we tell ourselves. So, instead, we put on this false mask of lies to the world and to our team that we have ALL the answers, that there have never been any challenges in building our businesses, and that everything is easy and great 100% of the time. What I want you to realize is this, vulnerability is not only a good idea in your business, it's actually REQUIRED if you want to truly impact and lead people. Being vulnerable actually builds a bridge of connection between you and a team member. It's the ultimate demonstration of strength. Listen up as I share with you my own story of vulnerability, why it's important to leadership, and how you can empower your team by being vulnerable. Ep 131131: Stop Teaching and Start Coaching to Create More Leaders
Are you struggling to create strong, independent leaders on your team? Learning how to become an effective coach is an absolute MUST if you want to build a NM business that someday gives you TOTAL FREEDOM. As a matter of fact, for many of you this is the missing ingredient to the growth of your business and life right now. Right now you might be thinking, "I'm a great coach to my team members. I'm always teaching them new strategies and instructing them how to grow their businesses." However, you need to know that there's a big difference between teaching and coaching. Most network marketing leaders that I've worked with are good teachers, but horrible coaches. Teaching is mostly concerned with the acquisition of new knowledge and is usually done in a group setting. Coaching on the other hand is focused on development. It is having the support that one needs to achieve a level of success in your business. Personally, in my own business, for a very long time I was stuck. I had so many great people with all the potential in the world fizzle out and I didn't understand why. What I didn't realize is that I was missing a critical skill - COACHING. My inability to be an effective coach to the people on my team was a huge factor in what was holding me back. But once I finally understood all of this and learned how to coach my team..and not just teach…my business and life began to change dramatically. So, join me in this episode as I share the skill of coaching, how it changed my life and business, and the two key concepts on how to be an effective coach. Next Level Leadership, my high-level coaching program for successful network marketing leaders wanting to scale their business BEYOND 6-FIGURES, is open now for the first time ever! www.nextlevelleadership.com

Ep 130130: I've Exhausted my Warm Market, Now What?! #AskBob
In this new podcast episode of #askBob, I answer 3 questions submitted by listeners, including: What do you do when you've exhausted your warm market? How do you prospect people on FB you're connected with - but don't really know? What do you do when someone doesn't respond to your reach out? What do you do when you've exhausted your warm market? This is a common thing I see where network marketers think that they had already tapped out any opportunity with people they know so they shift to their cold market. They turn to social media and try to learn attraction marketing, and they end up complicating the entire process with funnels and lead magnets and complex systems. Armed with the excuse of "I've exhausted my warm market," I see network marketers think that figuring out how to prospect in the cold market is the answer. However, the cold market is NOT the answer. In this podcast, I dig into my personal opinion on why recruiting in the cold market is not the solution to your 'burned out warm market' problem. How do you prospect people on FB you're connected with, but also don't really know? A bit mistake people make when trying to prospect in the cold market is pitching to people too early in the process. They talk about their company, business, and product on the first message because they think that it's secretive and weird to not just share right away. What we need to understand is that messaging people on social media is the exact same as having a conversation with them face-to-face. The key is to make your messaging conversational. It's more than you just making a sale; it's you being able to change their life through your products. What do you do when someone doesn't respond to your reach out? When prospecting, we always seem to assume a negative outcome, like "they're going to roll their eyes at me" or "what if they talk about me behind my back." It's these negative scenarios (RED LIGHTS) that we imagine that's stopping us from reaching out and following up with our prospects. I want you to learn how to create different and more empowering stories (GREEN LIGHTS). Build your faith and always assume a positive intent. If they don't respond on the follow up, then you need to course correct. Do a different approach like commenting on their posts on Instagram, or like the stuffs they post on social media. Here's the thing, it's all about your willingness to take action despite your fears. The only limitation to creating the life of your dreams and the business that you want is the story that you tell yourself about how it is or isn't possible. Ep 129129: {Live Coaching} What Do You Do If Your Team Falls Apart?
I've seen this a LOT in network marketing. You join a company, and there's excitement for the product and the opportunity. Your excitement is contagious, and you also work your business consistently, sharing about the products and the opportunity with anyone who will listen. Your team grows fast! You have that momentum that every network marketer craves! And then, things begin to slow down. Team members begin going MIA and not returning messages. Your recruiting and team volume numbers begin sliding backwards. Your team (and business!) is falling apart! In today's podcast, I have a live coaching session with Sasha, who has been going through that exact same situation. Sasha is a brand new member of my Legacy Leadership Academy. She had a fast start in her company and had a lot of success. However, over the last year things have fallen apart. Leaders left her team, and there has been lots of complaining going on, which resulted to a toxic team environment. Instead of excited and moving forward, she now feels frustrated, has lost confidence in herself, and feels like she's stuck in the past. And on top of all of that, she doesn't have a strong upline that she can lean on for support. Join me in this live coaching session, as I give Sasha some key insights on how she can take control over her thoughts and continue building a the team of her dreams! Ep 128128: The 5 Phases of Network Marketing Leadership
Today is part 2 of last week's episode where I reveal our brand new 'Success Path' that we've created for all of you called 'The 5 Phases of Network Marketing Leadership.' Do you know EXACTLY where you are at on your journey to success? If Point A is the day you joined your network marketing company and Point B is where you want to be – enjoying a life of Total Freedom - where EXACTLY are you at in between those two points? It is so important that you are clear on EXACTLY where you are in your journey to success. And that is why I'm so excited to launch the first EVER leadership assessment for network marketing!! One of the things I've always struggled with was our new students never had a way to clearly see the vision of what we're helping them do. All the training we do is great, but I started to notice a ton of confusion and overwhelm because there was no simple, clear plan to help them get exactly from Point A to Point B in their business. So we created the first ever network marketing quiz to help people just like you determine exactly which of 5 stages you are at in your network marketing journey. Then, we can give you the exact steps and action plan you need to follow to attain Total Freedom. In this week's podcast, I share with you more details about the 5 Phases of Network Marketing Leadership and how taking the quiz will tell you exactly which of the 5 phases you are currently in….and more importantly, exactly what you need to do to get to the next phase! Make sure you and your team members take the quiz now by visiting http://www.yourvirtualupline.com/quiz Once you've completed the quiz, I will email you a page with all of your results. For each of the 5 phases, I've put together a specific training plan with a series of actionable steps to help you 'get unstuck' and start moving forward. Also, make sure and join my 4-part live free training series called '4 Steps to Creating a Full-Time Income in Network Marketing' which begins on January 9th. Ep 127127: The Greatest Gift of Network Marketing
Today I share with you the greatest gift network marketing has to offer….and a HUGE gift for you inside! This episode is the first of a two-part series. And whether you are brand new to network marketing or a seasoned leader, I believe this is something that will have you looking at your business in a very different way than you ever have before! Ask yourself these questions: What does success look like for you? What is the ultimate goal for your business? One mistake network marketers make is not having a clear vision for their life and business. Most of us simply follow someone else's definition of success, and then we later find out, their definition wasn't exactly what we wanted in life. And then we end up frustrated, unfulfilled, and miss the greatest gift that this profession has to offer - Total Freedom. There are three types of freedom in life: Financial Freedom, Time Freedom, and Personal Freedom. And when someone has Total Freedom, they have all three! And for most people, they have Total Freedom because they are an entrepreneur. But, what does it actually look like to have financial, time AND personal freedom? And what do you have to do to actually attain TOTAL freedom in your life? This is exactly what I share with you in this podcast episode! And what my team is working on to help you achieve Total Freedom in a step-by-step process in 2020!

Ep 126126: How to Handle a Leader Leaving to Join Another Company
There's a very delicate topic that we leaders have to deal with, which is a byproduct of building a big business, and that is how to handle when a leader leaves to join another company. One of your leaders leaving for another company is one of the hardest things you will face in your network marketing career. In that moment, it feels like your entire business is falling apart and that everything you've worked so hard for is suddenly being destroyed. But I want you to understand that how you handle this, how you respond and react, will have a far greater impact on your long-term success than that person actually leaving. Our usual reaction is we feel revengeful. We start trashing the person, trying to undermine their credibility so that no one on their team leaves to go join them. But I want you to know that going into attack mode is a bad idea. In this podcast episode, I share with you tips on how to handle these situations, why as leaders we need to lead with character and love, and some actionable steps that will definitely keep you out of the drama.

Ep 125125: The 3 Biggest Mistakes People Make When Setting Goals
There are 3 major goal-setting mistakes that I see entrepreneurs make every single year. I'm going to teach you how to avoid these mistakes, AND I'm also going to give you a step-by-step plan on how to properly plan and set goals for your business in 2020. I'm not going to lie – I made these exact same mistakes every single year, too, in my network marketing business! My hope is that through what you learn here today, you avoid these same mistakes I made, and in the process give yourself the best chance to make sure 2020 is your breakthrough year! Isn't it getting old repeating the same process every year, only to never see the results you want? Aren't you tired of being stuck in the same place? I do not want 2020 to be ANOTHER year where you get excited, set big goals for yourself, only to find yourself on December 31st, 2020, in the exact same place you are right now. And I promise you, if you can avoid these 3 common goal-setting traps, you will have a FAR GREATER chance of moving your business forward and achieving the goals that you set for yourself this year. Mentioned in this episode: Episode 72 - Creating Your Breakthrough Year Episode 115 - The Magic of Thinking Big

Ep 124124: How to Run Recruiting Campaigns on Your Team
Recruiting Campaigns are a powerful tool you can use to help motivate your team to take more consistent action and reach out to more prospects. In this podcast episode, I share with you my 3-step process for setting up a successful recruiting campaign for your team. Do you have team members who are struggling? Are they overwhelmed and confused? There is a LOT of information overload available to network marketers. Scripts, podcasts, LIVE video strategies, and more! And all of this information can definitely overwhelm some of your team members causing all productivity to come to a screeching halt! One of the best strategies to get overwhelmed and confused team members to move forward and take consistent action is to start a Recruiting Campaign. While most team leaders think of recruiting campaigns as a means to add more team members, it also serves as a way to get hesitant team members to actually move forward and take action. Recruiting Campaigns combat two of the biggest obstacles your team faces – FEAR and OVERWHELM – by giving your team a simple system to follow over a short period of time. Here is my 3-step system for creating a successful recruiting campaign: STEP #1: Identify the specific group of people you want to target (Real Estate Agents, Nurses, Teachers, Traditional Business Owners) and create the story around why they would be such a good prospect. STEP #2: Come up with the scripts and key messaging points for your team. Part of this includes anticipating the objections that might come up ahead of time. STEP #3: Choose a specific time and roll it out to your team. You could kick the campaign off with a really exciting Zoom presentation. Make it fun! You can give away prizes for those people that participate.

Ep 123123: 5 Strategies to Help You Make the Most of Black Friday
Every year people ask me, "Is it ok to do Black Friday promotions?" Yes! It is OK to promote your products and business on Black Friday! Download my FREE Black Friday Marketing Strategy Guide with my favorite strategies and scripts at www.yourvirtualupline.com/123. However, to be SUCCESSFUL in your Black Friday marketing efforts, you MUST be different than your competitors. Here's the truth about Black Friday - your success or failure will not be determined by what you do on that single day, but by what you've done in your business in the 30, 60, or 90 days leading up to Black Friday. In this episode, I'm going to share 5 ways that you can make the most of your Black Friday promotions this year. Strategy #1: Live Video Content On-Ramp. You need to warm your audience up for the promotion! To do this, build up curiosity for your products through a series of live videos on Facebook, Instagram, or any platform you prefer. The key here is to create value; so, it's very important that you focus on educating and teaching people around the area of your products. Strategy #2: Share Customer Success Stories. I want you to understand that people don't buy products. They buy the results that the product gives. So instead of selling on price, focus on selling the value of your products by sharing customer success stories and how it made your customer's life better and what problems you solved for your customers. Strategy #3: Gratitude and Appreciation. Don't lead with the promotion you. Always lead with love, gratitude, and appreciation for the customers supporting your business. What does this mean? Instead of jumping straight in with your product pitch, schedule some dedicated time to call, voice message, or even send a short, handwritten note for your current or past customers personally thanking them for their support. Strategy #4: 'Steal a Deal' FB Group Strategy. With this strategy, you set up a temporary 'pop-up' FB Group for your entire team to use during Black Friday. Your team members can then add their customers and prospects to this group. The exciting part is that each member can contribute a certain amount that will go to the discounts of the products. You will then pick a specific time for the event to happen so you can start promoting to everyone inside the group. Strategy #5: Personally Connect with Your Top Prospects. Most network marketers rely too heavily on passive 'Attraction Marketing.' What I want you to do this Black Friday is change your approach, slow down, and get more focused on the most important people for you to connect with. At the end of the day, the best sales strategy out there is just genuinely taking the time to get to know what's going on in someone's life and caring about them.

Ep 122122: My '3 S's' Closing Strategy
Let's talk about a topic that I know for many of you is something you struggle with a lot in your business – CLOSING. To master the skill of closing you have to have a game plan and practice it over and over again Have you ever heard prospects say these things to you before? I'm not really a great salesperson. I don't have the time to do anything else. I don't have the money; so, I can't afford to join your team or buy your product. Personally I used to hate closing. It felt so uncomfortable to me. However, I realized this came down to two things… First was my lack of confidence, and second, my mindset to the 'YES's' and 'NO's' you hear in this business. So, I've created what I call the '3 S's Closing Strategy.' I promise you it will make you much more confident and comfortable when it comes to closing a prospect. Let's get into my '3 S's' Closing Strategy! Strategy #1 is SIMPLE. Don't complicate the process of sharing your products and business opportunity. Remember, the less you say, the more money you are likely to make. Strategy #2 is SYSTEM. I want you to understand that it is the real key to building a team and getting new recruits is having a system for your team that anyone and everyone can utilize. Every aspect of your business must be system driven, and this what gives your people that necessary confidence because confidence starts out not in their own abilities, but their ability to follow a system. Finally, Strategy #3 is SUPPORT. Sell your prospect on the fact that they are locking arms with you. That you will be there for them every step of the way. If someone sees you as the person who can change their life, they're going to join you. Ep 121121: A Return to Love
I want to share with you what I believe to be the 'secret' to success, happiness, fulfillment, in your business and life. In my last podcast episode, episode 120, I shared what I believe to be the biggest challenge that you will need to overcome to see success in your business – The Achievement Trap. This episode serves as part 2 of that message. So, if you haven't listened to episode 120 yet, I recommend that you listen to that message first. Consider having love be the guiding force in your life, regardless of the circumstance. Nothing stands to transform us, our relationships, and our world, more than a commitment to live our lives from love. - Marianne Williamson from her book, 'A Return to Love' So, what do I believe is the 'secret' to success, happiness, fulfillment, in your business and life? In one word – LOVE. In life, most of us have been so paralyzed by fear. And this fear shows up inside of us through feelings of unworthiness, doubt, and negativity. And these emotions and feelings are blinding us from our potential. However, when we shift our feelings and emotions to ones of LOVE, we begin to see ourselves and our roles in this world differently. We begin seeing that each and every one of us has a unique and essential role to fulfill in this world. When we stop obsessing over 'making sales' and 'getting our next recruit,' we can instead obsess over ways to show kindness, compassion and generosity to the people we came into contact with every day. If this was the filter through how we lived our lives and operated our businesses, it would literally change everything. If you learn nothing else from listening to this podcast, I want you to leave with this - you were created with the purpose of extending God's love to the people in this world. And your networking marketing business is simply a vehicle that can be used to live out this purpose. The moment you make the decision that your business is a way for you to serve mankind and not just a way to make money, you will experience a joy and fulfillment that you've not felt before.

Ep 120120: The Achievement Trap
What is driving you in your business? This episode is probably one of the most important episodes I've ever recorded. Today, I share with you something that I personally struggled with personally and professionally. And I believe you can probably relate to this, too. The moment you stop striving to achieve something to feel worthy is the moment where you experience something much more powerful I want to ask you a question, and your answer to this question will ultimately determine the kind of business you create and the quality of life that you experience. Here's the million-dollar question - What is driving you in your business? If I look back on my own network marketing career, what was ALWAYS driving me was 'the next thing.' One month it was to sign a certain 'A-player' prospect. The next it was to hit the next rank. Then to win a company trip. The car. The 'top earner.'….iti went on and on and on. And each 'nest thing' was supposed to make me happy and feel better in my life. But, after the initial happiness faded away from hitting my goals, I felt exactly the same as I did before. I was still miserable and I felt totally alone, actually I kind of feel worse. That happiness is gone in seconds…and then you're on to 'the next thing' again. This is what I call the achievement trap. We have this mindset that our accomplishments in life will make us worthy, happy, and fulfilled in life. We do the hustle to reach our goals. Then we realize that each new accomplishment has a very empty, hollow feeling. I hope this episode sheds light on your own achievement trap. I'm going to teach you how to break free from this in your business so that you'll start finding more sustainable happiness, joy, and fulfillment in the work that you do.

Ep 119119: {Live Coaching} Is being busy making you feel more worthy?
Are you 'busy' in your business, but you're not 'productive?' Being 'busy' in your business, does not always equal success. Today, Jane joins me for a live coaching session to work through how her negative thoughts and how 'being busy' is holding her back in building a thriving business. Leadership is leading by example - showing up every day and doing the work For so many of us, especially in our western culture where achievement is looked highly upon, being busy and being part of 'the hustle' is looked highly upon….not just from other people, but even when we're dealing with ourselves as well! We love and embrace 'the hustle!' So much so, that we convince ourselves that just being busy is enough. We get a sense of accomplishment just from being busy. Some of us, myself included at times, find our worth in the craziness of being busy. But, there's a HUGE difference between being busy and being productive. When you're taking 'passive action,' (organizing, scrolling through social media, and reading personal development books) vs working your income producing activities gives a sense of accomplishment and worthiness, but does NOT build you a successful business in the long run. Plus, when you're busy but not productive, you are not being the example and leader you need to be to your team. Your unwillingness to take the right actions is holding you AND them back. So stay tune as Jane and I discuss how to conquer fear of failure, how to lead by example, and importance of not defining your own worthiness by how busy you are in your business Check out Legacy Leadership Academy at www.legacyleadershipacademy.com.

Ep 118118: The 3 Identities Needed for Network Marketing Success
There are 3 different identities you must adopt in order to become massively successful in your network marketing business. Your value in life isn't in the things that you do; it's in who you are I have to admit, I had my own challenges when beginning my network marketing team. However, the concept of identity led me to the single greatest 'aha moment' of my career. Here is the problem that most of us have: our identities (how we see ourselves) limit our results. Our day is dominated by negative thoughts, stories, and beliefs that limiting us. But I want you to understand that success is not a matter of doing; it's a matter of being. So here are 3 Identities needed for network marketing success. First, understand that you are a BUSINESS OWNER. I've seen a lot of people work on their business when they feel like it, when it's convenient, or when they feel motivated. And this is a very dangerous place to be. So beginning today, I want you to start thinking like a business owner. Start treating it like a real business. Identify the characteristics of a successful business owner and start living by them today. The second Identity is a NETWORK MARKETER. If you want to become successful in this profession, you don't 'do network marketing.' Nope! You must become a network marketer. The key is to shift from a saleman's mindset to a service mindset. Your business can make you tons of money, but that money and success is only as good as what you do with it to help others. Last, you are a LEADER. Most of us have impostor's syndrome. We're so worried people will find out that 'we don't know everything' that we don't even start. These are simply limiting beliefs about ourselves when it comes to leadership. So here is my advice, stop focusing on what you don't have and haven't done yet. Instead, start showing some appreciation for the things you have done, and what you have already in your life. You don't need to have a team to be a leader. You only need to begin by leading the most important person – YOURSELF. Check out Legacy Leadership Academy at www.legacyleadershipacademy.com. Ep 117117: Getting Unstuck, Motivating Your Team, Building Your Belief #AskBob
Today I'm answering YOUR listener-submitted questions! You'll often hear that owning your own business can be a very lonely endeavor, even when you have downline, uplines, and sidelines like in network marketing. However, what you need to know is that the problems you have are the same problems so many others are experiencing as well! Which is why I'm excited to release our very first podcast answering YOUR submitted questions! Last week, Sarah, Tiara, Jessica, and Sarah submitted questions to me about issues they are personally facing in their network marketing businesses, and in this episode I go through them one-by-one. 06:29 Question #1 (Sarah) – How do I keep myself 'unstuck?' If you have been inconsistent for a really long time in your business, where do you even begin to build consistency, be an example to your team, and get the momentum going? 17:04 Question #2 (Tiara) – I'm a runner. But, how do you change the speed and momentum of your team? How do you adjust your expectations of other people who aren't like you? 28:12 Question #3 (Jessica) – I want to cast vision and think BIG, but when I think about who I need to be in order to make that happen, it's threatening my current identity BIG TIME. How do I change my identity and shift into that person that I need to be? 39:42 Question #4 (Sarah) - How are you supposed to see yourself running a million-dollar company when you are so far in debt? How can you truly believe that one day you'll be able to retire your husband and spend every day together as a family when I barely ever get to see them now as it is? Ep 116116: How to Close Your Month out Strong and Crush Your Goals
Are you frustrated with team members who don't take any action on their monthly goals? Or how about team members who don't even have monthly goals in the first place? How can YOU, as the team leader, set and achieve goals based on relying on other people taking action? Today I'll be sharing with you leadership & team building strategies to help you close out a month strong with momentum and excitement to help you crush your goals. It's a very different way to approach the topic of goal setting and working with your teams. You don't hit big goals in your business by trying to be everything to everyone There are actually two parts to reaching a goal: 1) the setting of the goal, and 2) the action that takes place to meet the set goal. But, how do you work with people who have not 'owned it" and stated, "This is my goal for the month!"? Effective goal setting and achievement is all about driving production and learning how to really motivate your people to action. And as leaders, we need to learn that owning a business with a 'voluntary army' of team members means we have to learn WHO and HOW to influence people on our team. Influence is leadership! And this is where I see a lot of team leaders struggle. Most of your team members probably don't even know how to set big goals and that these goals are, in fact, achievable. And instead of being a servant leader and working with the team members to help them define and achieve their own goals, we end being a "SELF-SERVING" leader, asking team members to contribute towards a 'team goal.' So many of us (myself included at one point), miss out on the concept of Legacy Leadership. Legacy Leaders understand that a personal goal means nothing unless it's based on the solid foundation of helping other people succeed on their team and achieve their goals. In this episode, I am going to share exactly how to reach your month-end goals through servant leadership, how to effectively set goals, and how to implement an action plan for hitting your goals in your team that puts your team first…but still allows you to crush your month-end goals in the process! Check out Legacy Leadership Academy at www.legacyleadershipacademy.com. Enrollment is opening in October.

Ep 115115: The Magic of Thinking Big
Knowing how to 'think big' is one of the most important skills you will ever learn in your life. Today we are going to talk about the magic of thinking big and how mastering this skillset transformed my business and TOTALLY CHANGED MY LIFE. Greatness is believing in a dream for your life far beyond your current circumstances Thinking big and developing a compelling vision for your life is an extremely important job as a leader. And if you own a business, then you ARE a leader! Casting a vision for your life and how others' lives can be is the starting point to being a great leader. Great leaders learn how to paint a vision for the future for themselves and their teams that inspires them to move into action! However, the reason why most people are stuck and lack passion in either their business or life is because they lack vision. And I have to admit one of my own personal struggles was always using my past to determine what my future was going to look like. But here's what I want you to understand, your past or current circumstances have NOTHING to do with your future! So join me in this episode as I share the magic of thinking big and the steps on how to create your own big vision for your future! Ep 113113: 3 Steps for Implementing New Systems
There are three simple steps to implementing any kind of new system or change into your business and into your team. You will never scale your business beyond yourself without the proper systems Let's all admit it - most of us are into network marketing because we want a business that gives us FREEDOM. However, as I look around our industry, I see a lot of network marketers who are NOT experiencing the freedom they crave. Here's the reality that a lot of 'successful' network marketing leaders don't understand: If your business doesn't run WITHOUT YOU, it's not a business. It's a JOB. I want you to know that you don't need to be the 'center of the universe' on your team. In fact, I give you permission to purposely NOT be the 'center of the universe' on your team! However, in order for you to grow a business that doesn't 100% depend on you, you must develop leaders in your downline. And to develop these leaders, you need a proper system in place to identify them and train them to step in and do what you do. And so today, I am going to talk about why you need systems to scale your business, how it can develop the people in your team, the three steps for implementing new systems in your business, and the right attitude you need to have when implementing these changes. Ep 112112: The Gift of Failure
This episode is part 2 of a 2-episode series where we really dive into the subject fear plays in building a successful business. In part 1 we talked about what fear actually is and how you can actually change your thoughts actually perpetuate and feed that fear. If you haven't listened to part 1, episode 111, see the link to it below! In this pod episode, we dig farther into how exactly fear can be used to actually BUILD your business and how to adopting a healthier attitude towards failure is the key to unlocking success in your business and in your life. The only way to get 'unstuck' in your business is to adopt a new mindset about failure It is ingrained in us during childhood that failure is a horribly bad thing to avoid. We also think that two paths exist: one is a path towards success and the other is a path that leads us to failure. However, the reality is that only ONE PATH EXISTS! Success and Failure are merely different steps or stages along the same path! You literally have to fail your way to success every single day. Failure is unavoidable on your way to success! We must shift our mindsets to understand this and accept it so that as we do meet failure during our journey, we can mentally check it off as a step in the process and move on! Join me in this episode as I talk about my personal experience with failure, the biggest shift I had to make when it comes to failure, how to adopt a new mindset to the 'NO's' in your business, and my action plans for you to increase your failure threshold. Mentioned: episode 111

Ep 111111: How to Overcome Your Fear of Prospecting
In this podcast episode, we dive into a topic that I believe everyone can relate to which is how to overcome your fear of prospecting. I am going to give you a totally different way to look at fear and what I wish I would have known when I first started in network marketing. The goal is not to eliminate FEAR… it is to build your FAITH As humans we start off free from fear. My son, Greyson, proves this! He is a maniac and fearless in how he lives his life and what he's willing to try each day. However, over time, as humans, we start to develop a fear that resides deep inside of us. When I started my own first network marketing business, I was so excited at first!....until I had to make that first phone call! Then the fear stepped in! In fact, I, Bob Heilig, hated prospecting at first! Oftentimes, we wind up clinging to our fears because we want to be certain and be in control. We can call fear different things, but I want you to understand that no matter the term you use, they are all the same. And the solution to overcome every single type of fear is the same as well. You need to know this - the solution is not eliminating fear; it is building up your faith. To be successful in your business, you must break the habitual pattern of negative thinking that you've created in your life. This way of thinking has created your current results! You must be able to interpret the things you are scared of – the 'no's,' the rejections, the lack of responses from people you respect – in a different way than your current emotions are allowing. And so, in this episode, let's dig a bit deeper on what exactly fear is, exactly why we love to cling to our fears, but also what you need to consciously and intentionally see to overcome fear's grip on your life and your business. Ep 109109: My #1 Strategy for Increasing Network Marketing Retention
My leadership training program, the Legacy Leadership Academy, will be opening for new members soon! To join the waitlist and be the first to know when the doors open, go to: legacyleadershipacademy.com. Also, join my FREE summer recruiting challenge, the Revive Your Down Line Challenge 2.0, is starting this July 15th. Join me at www.reviveyourdownline.com. As a leader, you must understand the importance of focusing on BOTH new acquisition as well as retention on your team. If you focus on retention of current team members too much, your team will eventually become stagnant. If you focus on personal recruiting too much, you'll wind up building a team without any strong independent leaders and get stuck on the treadmill. So today, I am going to share my number one strategy for increasing retention on your network marketing team. Leaders must understand the importance of focusing on BOTH new acquisition and retention while building their teams Without a doubt, retention is a big problem for most network marketers. Some days it feels like your team is a leaky bucket – you're losing team members just as quickly as you're signing on new ones! However, retention is the key to unlocking long-term residual income and the eventual freedom that you so crave through your network marketing company! So, as a leader, you must understand the importance of focusing on BOTH acquisition and retention. Join me in this episode as I share with you the concept of 'the retention point,' my number one strategy on how to retain people in your team, and the three things that leaders do differently while training new team members that result in higher, long-term retention.

Ep 108108: It's the End of Network Marketing as We Know It
I truly believe that there is a fundamental shift happening inside the network marketing industry. Just a few weeks ago, I hosted some of the best and brightest in network marketing for three days at my live event, the Impact + Growth Summit, and during my keynote, I spoke in depth about how network marketing, as the world has come to know it, is coming to an end. The people that were sitting in front of me in the audience represented a new generation of network marketers who are doing things differently. They are not 'out for the next quick sale' or to 'get someone.' Instead, these like-minded servant leaders are building their businesses from a place of abundance. They are out to change the world, one person at a time, and create their own movement in the process. The solution to scarcity is not abundance, but building your business through legacy leadership. I truly believe that the 'scarcity mindset' that so many network marketers operate from is one of the biggest issues in our industry today. However, we as individuals must begin knowing that you have a mission and responsibility to build your network marketing business from a mindset of abundance. So, listen up and discover why you are here for a bigger purpose, the power of knowing your self-worth, and why we need to pursue legacy leadership as network marketers.

Ep 107107: Do you Struggle with Consistency
Let's take a moment and talk about the idea of inconsistency and why so many network marketers struggle with consistency in their business. The struggle in taking consistent action is coming from a place of unworthiness I personally believe that if you struggle with consistency in your business it is actually because you have limiting beliefs about yourself. Your problem is NOT lack of time, or your spouse isn't supportive, or the kids won't give you 5 minutes to get your daily work done, or even that your job exhausts you! Nope! Inconsistency in your business actually is born out of issues of your own personal worthiness. There are two types of people that experience inconsistency in their business. The first type of person only struggles with consistency from time-to-time. Their business and productivity has highs and lows. The second type of person finds consistency a constant and daily struggle. Join me as I talk more about the role of identity and worthiness and how they impact the success of your business. I also share different action plans that you can implement to overcome your own inconsistencies in your business.

104: How to Get Control of Your Health and Live a More Fulfilled Life
Today's special podcast guest is none other than Chalene Johnson! A global expert on both health and entrepreneurialism, Chalene joins me to talk about a subject I've never explored before on the YVU podcast – how your health affects the bottom line of your business. Your health – how you feel, how you look, and your health mindset – affects your business mindset, how you make decisions, and how you 'put yourself out there.' Your health - whether it's in body, spirit, relationships, or finances - builds confidence. My mission has always been how can I help people get healthy - financially, physically, mentally and spiritually. Chalene talks about her own health scare, how she was ashamed at first because of her standing in the health community, and how she eventually decided that her personal health scare had to be shared with others. Her journey to get her health back became her message to her community, including her new book, "131 Method", which delivers the personalized solution to wellness, hormone balance, and permanent weight loss that she personally used to get her personal health back. Chalene also shares how her personal faith intersects with her business, and how she builds her business founded in the same principles that are founded in her faith. Although in business we've traditionally been told not to mix faith and business together, when it comes to being your authentic self, Chalene and I chat about how it is important to her to let your tribe know about your beliefs, including your faith. Episode Quotes "My mission has always been how can I help people get healthy - financially, physically, mentally, spiritually." "Developing the framework was even bigger than purpose, it was responsibility." "Not every area of your life is going to have equal amount of attention but you can feel balanced. I call it PEACE." Ep 103103: Choosing Purpose over Perfect
The most radical thing is walking on your own unique path - "Choose purpose over perfect" In this episode, Lara shares that her personal faith in God grew while starting a garden and building her business, "Southern Weddings." Her personal passion for growing things – both plants and a business – taught her to exchange her fears for faith. She founded 'Cultivate What Matters' that helps women set cultivated goals, cultivate faith and grow their marriages. Lara and I talk about the trappings of chasing success and about saying 'no' to some areas of life so that we can go 'all in' to other areas of your life that God has called you to. Lara coaches her fellow businesswomen to "choose purpose over perfect." She wants women to build faith-filled and purpose-driven businesses, all while walking the unique path that God has created for you. As Lara says, "Our purpose is not tied to our title. Our worth is really about WHOSE we are." Episode Quotes "My faith allowed me to have this insatiable desire for growing and tending things." "Passion is sacrifice... it is the thing that you're so fired up about that you are willing to sacrifice for it." "There is a FEAR that is about respecting something that tends to take control over us." "It is a neat thing to take a risk and do a leap of faith." "Sometimes success is actually the thing that distracts us most from making us successful." "When we focus too much on the success and not on the efforts and the WHY then we lose sight of success." "If you are not refueling yourself at the well then you can't fill anybody else." "The most radical thing we can do is to walk our own unique path." "I started to grow an authentic relationship with the Lord and gave up the identity that I'm stuck in." "Your work is something that you do, not your purpose. Your purpose doesn't go to work; it goes to love." "Our purpose is not tied to our title. Our worth is really about Whose we are." "Doing business as ministry is not about sharing Bible verses all the time." "Helping people is worth far more than your doubts." I have a Public Service Announcement for the entire network marketing industry: STOP the copy and paste prospecting method! It is KILLING our industry! Spamming prospects with copy/paste, yucky language is not only killing our industry, it is also killing your own teambuilding results as well! It is essential that each of us knows the correct way to message our prospects. Personally speaking, I myself have received the spammiest message! And this is not to put anybody down, some uplines teach their team to do it this way, but this is a call to all network marketers – STOP the copy and paste prospecting method immediately! So, listen up as I share the 10 spammiest messages I got and the solutions to each of them for you to create a more effective prospecting message. Ep 101101: How to Avoid a Victim Mentality in Your Business
Today I have a very special episode for you! Preston Prugmire, a life coach and host of the "Next Level Life" podcast, joins me to talk about the deep inner work of mindset transformation and moving away from a victim mentality in our life and business. Mindset is more important than strategy when it comes to success as an entrepreneur Most network marketers have the issue we call "victim mentality." But what happens when we look at every single aspect of our life and say, "I'm no longer going to be a victim in my business. I am no longer going to be a victim in my marriage. I am no longer going to be a victim to my finances." We often focus on the gaps that exist in achieving success. We look for what we accuse. What we can embrace as an excuse for NOT being successful in an area of life. We always think that we're missing some strategy or quick fix that will actually create the success we crave. However, what's really holding us back is the fact that we embrace these excuses that allow us to be a victim in the first place! Once we shift our mindset and not seek these excuses, we win the battle! The strategy, tactic, action, or method will come along. But, it's the mindset shift that is the most important component in achievement! So stay tuned as we're going to discuss more about mindset transformation, surrender and success, and some very powerful insights from Preston about the issues of victim mentality. Episode Quotes "Mindset is more important than strategy when it comes to success as an entrepreneur." "If you have the right mindset that your goals are inevitable then the path becomes less important." "Take a breath and have some compassion for yourself." "You need to hate your situation in order to get out of it." "Gratitude is the gateway drug to joy." "Surrendering is detaching my value from the outcome... and then I am not attached to the success or the failure." "Success is the person you become along the way to your success." "Whatever you are experiencing right now is a direct result of your past thinking." "There is uncertainty in being a conscious creator, but there can be certainty within the creation." Ep 100100: Why Massive Action Doesn't Work
Can you believe it?!! We have made it to my 100th episode of the Your Virtual Upline podcast! I cannot thank each and every one of you for taking this journey with me! Together, we have impacted people's lives and the entire network marketing industry! This podcast episode is a bit contrary to what most in the network marketing both believe and promote. Brace yourself… Massive action does not work for 92% of people. Now I'm not saying that working hard, with both action and urgency, isn't a great thing! But, when most people talk about massive action, they are ONLY talking about the action and the urgency. They miss a very important and critical piece, and that is also establishing IDENTITY. "Take more and more action," they say! "Massive action is always the solution to your problem," they say! However, success is not JUST a matter of doing, but also a matter of BEING. Whatever external results you have right now is just a reflection of your internal environment – your identity. Here's the action plan I lay out for you: Instead of practicing the "Have-Do-Be" formula, you need to start doing the "Be-Do-Have." And I'm going to be with you in that process each step of the way! My Legacy Leadership Academy is now open for a limited time, and I've created a Leadership Accelerator program for my new members! See more information at www.legacyleadershipacademy.com Episode Quotes "Don't get me wrong that working hard isn't important, but there is a critical missing piece that many leaders missed." "Your external environment will always be a reflection of your internal environment." "You are never going to achieve your goals unless you first dig in to your identity." "The conscious mind is the goal setter, but the subconscious mind is the goal getter." "Success isn't a matter of doing, it's a matter of being." "You can't change your life. 99: How to Recruit 'Business Builders' into Your Network Marketing Team
Do either of these situations sound familiar? You can get customers easily, but you just can't seem to sign any business partners and actually build a team. Or, you can recruit, but no one on your team ever sees any level of success. If you've said a resounding "Yes, that's me!" to either of the above, then I'm here to tell you your problem – you're talking WAY too much! You know everything about the product and the compensation plan! And you're more than happy to share all of those details! You are stuck in the trap that a lot of network marketers get into – you've made yourself the expert. And your prospects or team members CANNOT or DO NOT WANT to duplicate what you're doing. They do not see themselves as ever 'being the expert' like you are. When Prospecting, the Less that You Say, the More You Make I want you to understand this: the 'training process' for your new recruits starts the moment you open your mouth to them. And the question that's stuck in their mind is, "Can I do this?" So as the leader, in order to demonstrate the SIMPLICITY of your business and able to duplicate it in your team, you must start TALKING LESS. Once your prospects or team members see that they are simply sharing information in the form of third party tools (videos, recorded calls, etc), they are more likely to move forward because they see that they do not have to be 'the expert' like you! Being 'The Expert' actually is killing your chance of building a successful and energetic team! If you would like more strategies and tips like the above on how to begin recruiting and team-building like a pro, join me in my "Revive Your Downline" Recruiting Challenge that begins on February 11th by clicking this link: www.BobHeilig.com/recruiting-challenge Episode Quotes "The training process for your new people starts the moment you open your mouth to them." Ep 9898: How Tony Robbins Changed my Life
I recently attended Tony Robbins's live event, "Date with Destiny." If you're not familiar with Tony Robbins, he is one of the premier motivational and training coaches, and I've wanted to go to one of his live events for a long time! This specific event, "Date with Destiny," is 7 days of nonstop life-changing training and workshops. It was the most life transforming experience, and today I want to share with you my biggest takeaways and huge aha moments! If you want to feel fulfilled in your life, you must learn to grow and give beyond yourself. One of the things that Tony really digs into is what drives you to do the work you do. Prior to the event I really thought that my top 2 driving forces were significance and certainty. But oh boy, I was wrong! When Tony shared with the attendees The 6 Human Drives/Need, it truly shifted my mindset. The problem with significance being one of your internal drivers is that it causes us to constantly see external validation. We seek attention and also want to feel that we are worthy of that attention. However, the reality is, not everybody is going to like what we do in our life and business. There will always be critics and negative comments. Because you will never please everybody, significance is a game that you can't ever win. It can never 100% be truly attained. My second driver used to be 'certainty." We have this need to always have things figured out. To feel secure and that we can and do have everything under control. But I want to tell you this, certainty does not exist. Nothing in life is certain. We need to step into the realm of faith because uncertainty is the true pathway to opportunity. Uncertainty is where we will experience new things which helps produce new and better results. What I realized is this, true fulfillment in my work is learning to grow and step towards love and contribution. So from here on out, I refuse to work from the need for significance and certainty. Instead, moving forward, I will from a place of love and contribution. I believe life is calling me for more. And I believe life is calling you for more, too! 97: The #1 Way to Increase Engagement in Your Facebook Group
Let's talk about Facebook groups. And exactly why you're not seeing the engagement you would like inside your team, customer, and prospect Facebook groups! What I am going to share with you is what I believe the #1 way to increase engagement inside of your groups! Why There isn't much engagement in your Facebook group? Here's what I've noticed: 98% of the current strategies used by people to hopefully grow their network marketing businesses via Facebook groups is completely ineffective. Here's the truth - Most Facebook groups I see solely exist for the purpose of selling and promoting products, services, or business opportunities. However, if your group exists only for this reason, the people in your community will immediately raise resistance. Most will not only be inactive inside the groups, but honestly, they probably don't want to even be in the group in the first place! While people LOVE to buy. They do NOT like to be sold to. So, I want you to ask yourself: Why does your group exist? What are the problems you want to solve for people? Instead of only posting product promotions and company events, I want you to really think about what you could post that would truly help people – posts that would add value to people's lives, help them transform their life, and maybe even entertain them a bit along the way. People do want to be a part of something bigger! And it is so easier to get them excited about being part of a movement that will change their life vs a Facebook group used to promote a product! By doing this, you are giving them a reason to show up every day, to be excited to consume the content, and to also engage with your posts by liking, sharing, and commenting! To learn even more practical strategies and actionable tips that you help you grow your Facebook group engagement, make sure and listen to the complete podcast! I truly believe as you apply these tips and strategies, you will see the exact results that you've been looking for!

96: God Doesn't Create Junk!
This may very well be the most important episode I will ever record on this podcast. What I am going to share with you today has been something that I've believed to be true for some time now with all my heart and soul. You've heard me saying about the concept of legacy leadership and how it is an assignment, a calling, a vehicle to help you carry out your purpose in life. But, today I'm going to state in a much different way. My friend, I want to let you know that there is a much bigger reason why you are here. Your network marketing business is an assignment from God. There are two parts in this assignment. The first part of your assignment is to grow as a person and to face your fears. It's critical to understand that you only grow through fear. The fear of the unknown and thoughts like, "What if I'm not good enough?" and "What if I'm don't look good to others?" are the very thoughts that limit you in fulfilling your purpose. Remember that your greatest fears will lead you to your biggest breakthroughs in life and your business. In the process of facing your fears, you begin to get insight into the unique gifts that you have inside of you. Gifts that you were uniquely designed to have and that are to be utilized in serving other people on this earth. I'll quote from Picasso, "The meaning of life is to discover your gift and the purpose of life is to give it away." It is time to shift your focus from yourself to that outward focus of serving others. Facing your fears, growing, and walking through them allow you to be a person of service and impact on the other side. It's during this process that you and your gifts strengthen and grow. So stop telling yourself that you're not good enough, because trust me, you are! God doesn't create junk!

95: The Secret to Motivating Your Team
Why should you focus on building a team? It's pretty simple. Building an organization is the ONLY way that you will ever achieve TRUE freedom in your network marketing business. Yes, you can sell products and still earn additional income to assist your family. However, true financial and time freedom is only accomplished with a team. Having a team allows you to increase and scale the impact that you can make in the world exponentially. The bigger the team you have, the bigger the impact that you'll make in your business. And because money is a reward for the amount of value you give to the world, of course, the more money you will make as well. The Secret to Motivating Your Team is Leverage The problem, though, is that leaders are taught to focus on the wrong things in their business. As a result, they not only struggle growing their business, but they also struggle as a leader. Here is the secret I want to share with you when it comes to motivating your team – it's called LEVERAGE! Leverage is having the power to influence a person or a situation to achieve a particular outcome. When it comes to creating leverage within an organization, you must understand these two concepts – WIDTH and DEPTH. Width refers to the people that you personally recruit into your business and this is the first thing that you need to focus when starting a business. Depth on the other hand, refers to the people that come into your team through the people that you personally recruited. Yes, what naturally happens over time is depth starts to develop but I want you to know that depth is your responsibility. You need to have that "chasing the business" mindset. As a leader, don't wait for depth to happen. Go out and make it happen for yourself. And trust me, when you can build depth in a team it does something very powerful.

94: The Paradox of Failure
If you truly want to reach your full potential, start failing FASTER and MORE OFTEN I've spoken before about something called the 'Speed of Implementation.' This simply means that the faster you take action in business or in life, the more you increase your chances of success. It's pretty common for each of us to make up excuses or make up stories as to why we're not ready yet, like, "I'm not good enough,'….or "It needs to be perfect". All of these are really just lies that we tell ourselves to justify not our decision to play small and not face our fear of taking action. However, you must know that the lessons that we learn through our failures are a thousand times more important to us than any one 'yes' or successful result will ever be. When you push past your fears, you grow as a human being. One of two VERY important things happen when you take action - you either get the result that you wanted…or you get the lesson that you needed to grow as a human being. Remember, the greatest gift that this profession has to offer any of us, far greater than all the money in the world, is the person that we become as we achieve our dreams. This is the paradox of failure! The more we fail…the faster we fail…the more lessons we learn…the more we grow as a person! The failure is what makes us who we need to be! So take action! Implement faster! Fail more and more! Because by doing so, you will uniquely develop to accomplish exactly what you were put on this earth to do!

93: The 3 Types of Momentum
Team Momentum is the Key to Long-Term Success Have you ever experienced Momentum in your life? That state of energy, excitement, and action? In network marketing, we hear a lot about creating momentum. And I'm often asked if momentum is actually achievable? Or is it a myth that we chase? The truth is momentum DOES exist. And, it can be created by you! There are three types of momentum: personal momentum, company momentum, and team momentum. Personal momentum is when you are personally seeing results in your business, and this is the first step in creating team momentum. Company momentum is when there is a lot of hype about a company or a product. A great example of company momentum would be when you're in a new company that is seeing a lot of at the right time. The third one is team momentum. Of the three, our key focus needs to be on creating team momentum, as team momentum is the key to your long-term success in this business! If you want freedom in your business as well as long term success, then aim for creating team momentum. How to Create Team Momentum As a leader, you must learn to create team momentum in your business. There are three requirements that must be in place to achieve the type of team momentum we all crave in our businesses. One is giving your team a clear outcome or goal to work towards. Second is accountability to achieving those goals. Lastly, there should be transparency within the team. Also, you must understand the importance of having simple systems in 5 key areas of your business. To create duplication, and as a result momentum, you must have in place simple systems that each and every team member can follow in these 5 areas: prospecting, opportunity presentation, training new team members, leadership development, and recognizing action and achievement. Episode Quotes "The first step to creating team momentum is you must be in personal momentum." "Slow and steady does not win the race... success loves speed."
