Your Mind, Your Body, Your Choice: It's YOUR Life...what are you going to do with it?

Verbally and via sight, we have and hear signs leading us the right or wrong way constantly; are you noticing and paying attention? Listen in as I discuss 'being the light'.

On my last episode, I spoke of the negative aspects of social media and how people misuse it. This episode is the complete opposite.

Negativity is all around us. No matter your social status, your family or your work/home community, someone is thinking or speaking negatively. How do you handle it?

I remember telling someone once that I don’t like little girls sticking out their tongues when they dance because it makes me think of female rappers rapping about sex….things (in my opinion) little girls shouldn’t emulate.. Each generation has something going on that the previous generations doesn’t like-no right or wrong, we just have our own opinions. We are allowed to have opinions about what we deem as good, bad or, what needs to be eliminated, but do we have the right to judge?

Envy- described as an emotion which occurs when a person lacks quality, scale, achievement, or possession, the other, and wishes that the other lacked it. Envy has been an issue since the beginning of time when Cain Killed Able.Listen in as I tell a quick story about envy.

Change… something we all should do as we mature, but what if you, or someone you know prefers to complain or conform? Listen in…

We sometimes look at someone and think we know all we NEED to know about that person. 9 times out of 10, you are wrong. Let's stop looking at someone and judging them.

This episode is not based on my thoughts; it is based on a question: Do you miss the village mentality? Don't you miss people looking out for each other? I do...

There are some people that no matter what they've been blessed with, it isn't enough: They want bigger, better...more expensive. Then you have people that are grateful for everything they have; food, car, home. One group is satisfied and the other never will be: where do you fall?

Do you find time for some people and never have a moment to spare for others? You never know who God places in your path as a gatekeeper, so be careful of who you dismiss.

Stop putting yourself down or, reminding yourself of all the negative things you have done in the past. Oh…and MENTOR is the word I couldn’t think of 🤣🤣.

Have you ever tried to speak to someone about your feelings? Something they have said or done to wrong you and they turn it around on you? Listen in as I give my thoughts on people like this...

You wouldn't go to a doctor that graduated from plumbing school...credentials are a necessity! However, a real friend needs no credentials.

We say that we love you...until we get upset, then, we hate you. Can you truly love someone unconditionally? Listen in as I give my answer to this question.

Have you ever had a friend that called or visited and they monopolized the entire conversation speaking about themselves? When you finally get the opportunity to speak your words fall on deaf ears, or; the friend/family member that calls to get your advice but speaks over all of your words and really just calls to open their release valve? Yeah, me too. Listen in as I think out loud about relationships I have that go just as written above...

We expect to receive grace when we are going through something and may present ourselves in a way that is unbecoming of whom we are; but how easy is it to give back to a stranger? Listen in as I give you a quick story of what happened in my life over the weekend.

They say, the grass isn't greener on the other side: I say...YES IT IS if you are choosing you.

Whether you are self-shackled or second party shackled, don't allow others negativity (or your own) to keep you stuck in the past.

Do you match your friends' anger by handing them the bat to handle their enemies, or are you the voice of reason that speaks to your friends' heart? I've always been the voice of love and reason but surrounded myself with friends that carried lighter fluid and blow torches! Listen in as I discuss how not letting friends that speak to my calmer side in my life was a major mistake.
