S2 Ep 262The Power of Positive Affirmations with Brianna Greenspan

Meet Brianna Greenspan Brianna Greenspan has been using the power of positive affirmations for over a decade to overcome the physical challenges that being born with a chronic invisible illness brings about. Defying the logic of doctors and the temptation to be a victim, Brianna has dedicated her life to healing herself while empowering others to take ownership over their own physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. Brianna is the Co-Author of the bestselling book, The Miracle Morning: Art of Affirmations, A Positive Affirmations Coloring Book designed to combine affirmations with mindful artistry. "Visualize the success you are looking to create and use the affirmations within this book as inspiration along your journey." Brianna Greenspan is also a fierce chronic illness advocate, mentor for teens and young adults with chronic illnesses, and Genetics Consultant at Gene By Gene, a genetic testing company based in Houston, Texas. Brianna is a very dear friend and one of the most giving and kind woman leaders I know. She has stepped forward this year in a big way moderating a daily Miracle Morning in the new app, Clubhouse, and has made this work available to thousands of children, schools, and individuals in need. We had a genuine and raw conversation about why it's crucial to stop hiding and unmuting yourself so that you can shine brighter and make a more significant difference. We talked about the power of positive affirmations and their more profound meaning and how changing her own positive affirmations helped her heal and thrive with a devastating chronic illness. Read on to learn how you can step into your greatest power and light. The Power of Positive Affirmations Since the first grade, Brianna Greenspan had muted herself when dealing with the repercussions of having a chronic illness with awful side effects like throwing up often and being in a wheelchair. She never felt like she fit in and decided to mute her voice and her whole self until she realized that this impacted her whole body healing and ability to make a change in the world. She explains that affirmations aren't just what you tell yourself; they are also the labels others give you that you then take on as your own truth. When you say "I am," you are vocalizing to the world the labels put on your life. For example, Brianna was saying, "I am sick," because that's what Doctors told her, yet that perpetuated her belief in her sickness versus her ability to heal. Observe what you say to yourself. Positive affirmations are everywhere and affirm to the Universe what you are. You will create new neural pathways and will start believing and being the affirmation of "I am strong," "I am capable," and "I am courageous." Brianna Greenspan took a hard look at what she was saying to herself and realized she could decide how to define her life and use words that were for her highest good. Instead of saying the phrases "I can't, I won't, I'll never," which were ingrained in her head, she now says to herself, "I can, I will, I am." Stop Hiding Yourself It can feel very uncomfortable for many of us who are used to being in a supportive background role, but if you feel called to step forward, it means there's more for you to do and say. What helped Brianna do this was visualizing herself as a girl who loves to step forward and come out of hiding. The message came up for her, 'How can you expect others to unmute themself if you are muting yourself?' This is where powerful rituals like visualization or positive affirmations can help to change your behavior. The Miracle Morning: Art of Affirmations is a great and fun way to start shifting your beliefs. Commit to Doing Good In All Ways You Can Start listening to your inner wisdom and intuition and follow that guidance to do more good in your life and that of others. I love what Brianna said before we ended our conversation when I asked about her 'heart flare', a term I use to depict a deep heart's desire to share something not yet spoken. She said, "I try to do the good I can, in all the ways I can, as often as I can, in every way I can, each and every day." The world needs us to shine brighter now, more than ever. I hope this inspires you, as it has inspired me, to truly be as kind and good to myself, the world, and to as many as others as possible. Final Thoughts Brianna Greenspan reminds us that positive affirmations are out in the world waiting to be spoken. That finding these positive affirmations and bringing them into your existence helps you become powerful and capable. Don't forget to look for her book, The Miracle Morning: Art of Affirmations, A Positive Affirmations Coloring Book. S2 Ep 261Fitness for Every Body with Meg Boggs

Meet Meg Boggs Meg Boggs is an author, athlete, mother, and self-empowerment advocate. From mental health to fitness inclusivity promoted alongside body-positive imagery, Meg continues to spark discourse about fat bodies and the experiences of plus-size women. Meg has been celebrated by CNN, The View, Good Morning America, People, Health Magazine, Shape, and PopSugar. Her debut book, Fitness for Every Body: Strong, Confident, and Empowered at Any Size, is out 4/27/2021. Becoming Who You Really Are Meg Boggs talked super openly about finally becoming the person she always was through a long journey of dealing with hurtful, unkind, and judgmental comments about her body and size. She explained that it took a lot of time to realize that she's not the problem and there's nothing to fix in being a plus-size woman. One of the pivotal moments for Meg Boggs was when Meg cut her hair, something she had always wanted to do but had heard she shouldn't given the shape and size of her face. Taking her freedom back and cutting her hair as she desired gave her the newfound freedom she had always been seeking. The same has come true for dressing in a way that feels best for her, be it cropped tops, wearing pink, and ditching heels. I LOVED Meg's genuine full self-expression to be herself, to feel free in how she lives her life, and in the self-empowerment messages she is sharing to let go of what others think. To follow your own inner guide and bliss. Finding Your Way to Self-Empowerment Much of Meg Bogg's story has been about owning her sovereignty. After years of being ridiculed and told what to do about her own plus-size body, she took self-empowerment seriously. Today, Meg is a badass role model for women of all sizes to love whatever body they are in. This is about making the shift from hiding and self-loathing to doing and being what you love and loving your whole self. Period. Self-Empowerment is the new sexy. Breaking Up With Dieting Meg Boggs realized that the freedom she sought came from breaking up with the diet culture and changing her story from weight loss to being strong, fit, healthy, and full of vitality. She was inspired by the power of intuitive eating, which is all about turning inward to ask your body what is most nourishing versus relying on sources outside of your own inner wisdom. This was a game-changer for Meg, and today she is trailblazing the way for millions of women around on how to stay fit, exercise, and make time for themselves, no matter what shape you're in or size you are. Meg is also about talking to kids about loving their bodies and sees this work as crucial, especially given she now has a three-year-old daughter, Maci, who looks up to her. Practicing self-empowerment is what helps her spread her message to love yourself whether you are a plus-size woman or not. Fitness For Every Body Meg Bogg's book Fitness for Every Body is meant to share both her story but also inspire you to start taking your own health and fitness seriously, to let go of any comparison or need to look a certain way, and to start appreciating your body as is, right now. One of the mantras Meg uses after every workout, walk, or physical activity is simple yet powerful. It is "Thank you, Body!". I recommend we all take this on and thank our bodies for all they have done on our behalf every darn day. Final Thoughts Learning to love yourself inside and out is the message Meg Boggs shared with us. It is through this acceptance that self-empowerment comes. It doesn't matter if you are a plus-size woman or small in stature; there is something for every woman in Fitness for Every Body. Pick up a copy of Meg Boggs's book today. S2 Ep 260The Gap and the Gain with Dr. Benjamin Hardy

Meet Dr. Benjamin Hardy Dr. Benjamin Hardy is an organizational psychologist and bestselling author of Willpower Doesn't Work and Personality Isn't Permanent. His new book, The Gap and the Gain, comes out in October with Hay House. His blogs have been read by over 100 million people and are featured on Forbes, Fortune, CNBC, Cheddar, Big Think, and many others. He is a regular contributor to Inc. and Psychology Today and from 2015-2018, he was the #1 writer in the world on Medium.com. He and his wife Lauren adopted three children through the foster system in February 2018 and, one month later, Lauren became pregnant with twins, who were born in December of 2018. Ok, ready to dive into the Gap and the Gain? Let's do this, my friend! What is the Gap? Dr. Benjamin Hardy explains that the gap is all about how you measure yourself and specifically measuring yourself against an ideal or something you wish were different. This kind of measuring always leads to unhappiness and, in psychology terms, is known as the hedonic treadmill. The gap is always about operating from a place of need, lack, or needing something else than what is in the moment. By default, when you're in the gap, you are out of the present moment. What is the Gain? With the gain, you no longer measure yourself against anything else. You measure yourself from your past by looking at the progress. You make yourself the measuring stick, not someone or something else. This is quite profound and powerful. Intrinsic motivation comes from this kind of frame. The gain is twofold: You can see your past from a positive lens and recognize the difference between your former and current self. You learn to see everything (you read that right) as a gain. We can train ourselves to see the gains through selective attention, and what you train yourself to see is what you'll want to start measuring. What you measure grows. The gap and the gain are a frame or perspective. You always have an opportunity to take ownership over your life, experiences, and how you view them. This will help you to become better, not bitter, as Dr. Benjamin Hardy said. How to stay in the Gain Here are some great ways to train your brain to stay in the gain: Pull out your journal and list 3 gains at the end of the day. You can also chart 3 wins you're expecting to get the next day. Find wins and gains in all things. Look out for the gains, even when you're in the gap. Write out all the ways you've grown, learned, and progressed over the past year. Do this as often as possible. Get ready to be wowed by and with yourself! Rather than measuring yourself against others, be inspired by them. I've personally found this to be very helpful when dealing with any kind of comparison or 'gap' issues. How to be Happy Happiness is truly about being in the here and now; otherwise, it's contingent on something else. Happiness is dependent on what and how you measure yourself! As Dr. Benjamin Hardy said, happiness is a one-player game where you're not worried about what others think. Final Thoughts As part of The Gap and Gains, we learn to start measuring ourselves against our own achievements. Where we are today versus where we've been. No one and nothing else matters when it comes to defining yourself. This retraining of your mind and habits can be practiced in the exercise above. I am so excited you're here with me. I have loved recording these solo episodes and am hoping they add value, meaning, and impact in your life, and remind you that you are definitely not alone in overcoming inner struggles and challenges on the journey of being your You-est You. If you're listening to this episode, my hunch is that you might have also struggled with self-bullying and being crappy to yourself. I share very openly and honestly my own challenges with healing past hurts and upsetting experiences that led me down a dark tunnel of attacking and bullying myself. I know that what happens on the inside, in our inner world, is always reflected in our outer world. If we want less upset and drama, we must do the inner work of healing and connecting with the parts of us that are still hurt. I share my own feel to heal process and that of the Inner Bonding workbook so that you can start feeling more grounded, healed, and aligned within yourself. I hope it resonates at the deepest level. Why We Bully Ourselves So often, we have buried trauma. Whether that is trauma with a big or little T, it doesn't matter. The trauma that happened in our childhood where we didn't properly heal because we didn't possess the emotional intelligence to cope with the situation is carried into our adulthood. It's not our fault. We just weren't taught how to deal with our emotions in a healthy way. Those same children grow up to be adults who don't understand how to digest our emotions properly. Instead of dealing with them, we stuff them or abandon ourselves, disconnecting from what needs healing. What we have learned is that this leads to physical illness and addiction. Instead of processing our feelings, we make ourselves sick or create unhealthy relationships with things like food, spending, or alcohol. And when we can't process our emotions but feel threatened, upset, or overwhelmed, we attack ourselves—faulting ourselves for not being more capable, not good enough. Stop Beating Yourself Up In this episode, I talk about how to go within and have a ritual for tuning into the hurt and pain and sitting with it so you can learn to stop beating yourself up. When fear sneaks up, making us feel lesser than, it often triggers a response from childhood when we felt not good enough or compared to things that made us feel lesser than. Judging ourselves for falling short was something we trained ourselves to do from a young age. But it is essential to feel it to heal it and doing the necessary inner work. So sitting with these feelings as they come up in the present day and taking a hard look at where you are trying to deny your emotions is essential. You need to tap into that aspect of yourself and honor that part to adapt your mindset. And when that is done, invite your Higher Power in to be with you. To give you strength, comfort and healing. Gratitude I love pulling cards from my You-est You deck and today's card was gratitude. This was perfect as I discussed how feeling gratitude for the lesson of the situation is part of the healing, how feeling gratitude for the experience and learning from the self-bullying so that you can move forward towards forgiveness and being more kind to yourself. Final Thoughts It is so important to stop beating yourself up. No one likes a bully, so it is crucial to do the work to end the self-bullying. If you wouldn't do it to someone else, it isn't right to do it to yourself. I touch more on self-bullying and imposter syndrome in the book I am currently working on, Who Does She Think She Is. I think you are going to love it. If you are interested in the You-est You deck, you can get the printed box of cards or pdf printable version at juliereisler.com/shop. S2 Ep 258How to Heal Yourself with Rob Wergin

Meet Rob Wergin Rob Wergin has provided healing transformation to over 200,000 people in the last 18 years and has led large and small groups throughout the U.S. and Europe, including Agape International Spiritual Center, The Omega Institute, Mile High Church in Denver, and the 2019 Healing Kongress in Stuttgart. Rob is featured in the full-length film HEAL along with Deepak Chopra, Michael Beckwith, Bruce Lipton, Gregg Braden, and many others. At a young age, Rob realized he was able to heal animals and communicate with spirits. Not yet understanding these gifts, he learned to ignore them. Following 30 years in corporate America, Rob received what he now calls the "Ultimate Cosmic 2 x 4." In this time of despair, Rob asked for the purpose of his life, and the answer transformed him. Since then, Rob has dedicated his life to being a vessel for Divine love and light to benefit others. Raised in a strictly Christian home in the heart of South Dakota's rich Native American culture, Rob draws from both of these traditions and works with people of all spiritual persuasions on how to heal yourself. "Diseases, discomforts, and dysfunctions of the body are actually gifts," says Rob, "gifts created by our soul and by the Divine. They are powerful gifts packaged in ways we cannot ignore…and because we cannot ignore them, we are given the opportunity to do something about them." Trust Your Body Rob Wergin shared a very emotionally intense story about disengaging from his inner wisdom and intuitive gifts. He stopped paying attention or trusting his body, which led him into addiction, failed marriages, and deep depression. At 54, Rob decided to end the pain and despair and overdosed on drugs. He was at the beach when he had his life-changing encounter with the Divine. He was asked if he wanted to heal and help others heal. He said yes, and after sobbing and releasing years of grief, he turned around to see hundreds of light beings and angelic forms around him. He realized he wasn't alone and that the wisdom and intuition in his (and your) body is divinely connected that all you have to do is trust your body and tune into Divine Love. We can all tap back into it, and you can do that any time you choose to live with greater joy, connection, and love. This is an incredible gift to cherish every morning. Personally, I've been doing a personal practice where I welcome my 500 million new cells with love and joy (I picture them all in a light pink and gold color energy) and ask them to uplift and play with all of my other beloved cells, with love. It's been a game-changer for my morning wake-up routine. Unconditional Love Heals All What Rob Wergin has found over the past two decades of doing healings for thousands of people with various illnesses is that the true healing force is Divine Love and tapping into the energy of bliss. He reminded us that every morning our bodies welcome brand new 500 million healthy cells (you read that right) that can add full healing to the cells that are already in your body. What I love about Rob's view from being part of so many healings is the incredible message of hope that we have the ability, much more than we realize, to direct our cells to be vibrant, healthy and heal. You just need to welcome in Divine Love and trust your body. The Real Lesson One of my favorite aspects of our conversation was about the word 'Lesson'. He shared that his Divine healing guides shared in a personal connection that we as human beings get the meaning of lesson incorrectly. We do not have to hold on to a lesson for days, months, or years. Rather than seeing it as a heavy learning experience, take the words and look at the root: less on. You can decide that you came to this life to have a certain experience or illness, get your lesson and let it go immediately, thus creating less on you. I loved this reframe and encourage you to really dig into this idea of taking less on and moving forward with freedom and ease. Remember, the power of love is always encoded in healing. Final Thoughts Rob Wergin shares with us that unconditional love is at the root of how to heal yourself. Connecting with the Divine Love that each and every one of us has access to can help you learn to trust your body and connect with it on a deeper level than you ever have before. Learning the lesson from illness and pain can help you move into a healthier state of being. To learn more about Rob Wergin, watch him on the documentary Heal. S2 Ep 257The God Solution with Neale Donald Walsch

Meet Neale Donald Walsch Neale Donald Walsch has written 39 books on contemporary spirituality and its practical application in everyday life, including the 9-book Conversations with God series. His titles have been translated into 37 languages. His latest book is The God Solution, published in Dec. 2020, proposes an altered and totally non-traditional spiritual approach to ending the seemingly interminable struggles of our species. The God Solution invites humanity to embrace a new global ethic based on a refined and clarified definition of God. The book proposes that there is a single statement of spiritual truth upon which all the world's religions could agree, and which would birth a shift of spiritual paradigms around the globe of such magnitude that it would produce peace and happiness on our planet at last. He may be reached at NealeDonaldWalsch.com The book opens with two questions: #1: If God exists, why is the world always in such a mess? #2: Does God play any role in creating—much less fixing—things on Earth? It then offers a hypothesis: Humanity simply hasn't found a way to deliberately and intentionally utilize God, this infinite intelligence, because while 8 out of 10 people believe there is a Higher Power, we haven't been able to come to an agreement about what God is, what God wants, and how God works in our lives. A New Definition of the Higher Power Calling this "the God dilemma," Neale Donald Walsch's book suggests that what is needed is a brand-new, much more accurate definition of the Higher Power. He then offers a striking description of how this fresh view of The Divine could dramatically improve lives, both individually and collectively. We discussed this new definition, which Neale Donald Walsh calls 'Pure Love,' and how he's finally figured out our soul's agenda and how we need to repurpose our divine connection. He defines Pure Love as loving purely, meaning God wants, needs, expects, and commands nothing in return for expressing all of it. This is a profound concept as it suggests that this infinite love is not based on our doing anything other than being aware of itself as pure love. The Soul's Agenda Neale Donald Walsch shares that the only thing that matters is completing the soul's agenda, which is an ineffable essence. The soul is here to make this divine connection, to express, experience, and demonstrate its true and complete agenda for its individuated divinity and greater love. We often have it backwards as the main human instinct is not survival; it's an expression of our divinity. We need to connect with Infinite Intelligence to make ourselves feel whole and complete. It is when this divine connection is missing that we feel lost and disconnected. Final Thoughts Neale Donald Walsch once again shows us that we can flourish as we live the human experience through our divine connection with God. It is a way to find our way back to our soul connection, and tuning into this Infinite Intelligence grounds us moving us toward love and out of fear-based living. S2 Ep 256The Old Soul's Guidebook with Ainslie MacLeod

Meet Ainslie MacLeod Ainslie MacLeod is an internationally acclaimed past-life psychic, spiritual teacher, and award-winning author of The Instruction, The Transformation, and most recently, The Old Soul's Guidebook. Ainslie specializes in exploring past lives to reveal your life's purpose and has been a featured guest on Oprah's SuperSoul Conversations Series. He lives on a tranquil island in the Pacific Northwest. The Instruction has been one of my favorite books, one I've come back to many times, and has helped me better understand why some people crave a certain kind of rigidity, control, or safety in their life. What I've loved is that it's not about judging anyone or anything, yet rather, as Ainslie explains in his book and this conversation, it's about better knowing your own soul age and your soul's plan for this lifetime. If you're tuning in, we already established that you are most likely a pretty old soul. Anyone listening to this podcast would be, by definition, in the old soul category, as so much of my interviews are about connecting to your higher self and spiritual connection. This is a conversation most old souls are having...with one another and with oneself. Welcome, old soul, to this powerful convo that I hope will expand your thinking and way of being, especially right now. Are You An Old Soul In The Instruction, Ainslie MacLeod reviews the ten soul ages in great detail. In this talk, he explains that the first five soul levels are what he'd consider the 'young soul years', which is really about learning, lessons in building community, exploring, and typically are connected more to fear. After you cross over soul age 5, the soul levels of 6 - 10 are considered old souls and are all about learning how to live in love. By definition of old soul, they are tuned to introspection, spiritual connection, and working on self and creativity. The younger your soul age is, the more fear-based your life will be. The more lives you've lived, the more comfortable you are with soul-based living and experiencing uncertainty. Ainslie explains that we chose our personalities and life plan of who we are and why we're here, on the astral plane, before coming to earth. You might ask, what is the astral plane? He describes it as the nearest non-physical plane and dimension where the soul leaves the body or before it comes into a body. We live now on the physical plane, but we choose our life plan on the astral plane. Our spirit guardians also live in this astral plane. See below to learn more about the spirit world. Connecting to the Spirit World Think of the spirit world as your team of support, in the non-physical world, ready and eager to guide you 24/7. All you have to do is ask and, as Ainslie says, use them to support you on your journey. If you have a question for your spirit guide, it's helpful to verbalize it by writing it out to them. I've been doing this for years, and it is beyond powerful as it has helped me personally access greater wisdom beyond what my mind can come up with. We live lives that are so noisy, so you will need to bring in tranquility and a ritual of stillness to start bringing in the ability to hear and commune with the spirit world. The veil becomes thinner as you experience more lives, as the soul and conscious mind are fused. The Soul of our Country I found this answer to be fascinating and frankly rang true with my own soul and inner knowing. Ainslie MacLeod described our country (the US) as being the 5 soul age and level of consciousness, meaning we're still in a fear-based consciousness but moving to level 6, which is characteristically changing to an older soul experience of life. You could think of Fox News as the quintessential level 5. Typically younger souls are more conservative, and older souls tend to be more progressive. Countries that are considered older soul-based are the Scandanavian countries. They are the definition of old soul, where their focus is mainly on the good of the community and people, focusing on humanitarian service. The more fundamental-based countries would be younger soul-based. Be an Ambassador of Love In simple terms, we are all doing the best we can in our varying soul levels, wanting to experience and learn the fundamental lessons of peace, love, and truth. I use this affirmation every day, and Ainslie confirmed it for me when he said, in simple terms, declare that you are an ambassador of love. That is my hope for you and all of us, to embody this soul-based living, this ambassadorship of love, and peace, with ourselves and our soul brothers and sisters. Final Thoughts As part of The Old Soul's Guidebook, Ainslie MacLeod tells us how tapping into our old soul's experiences will lead to not only a more fulfilling life for ourselves but our country and planet. Soul-based living is, in essence, the definition of old soul. Stepping outside of fear-based living and tuning into the old soul aspect of who you truly are will help move the consci

If you're listening to this episode, my hunch is that you might be curious to learn more about how to access or even trust your intuition. You see, I truly believe it's our superpower, often lying dormant, ready and wanting to be used. So, in this solo episode, I allowed myself the gift of leaning fully into my own inner wisdom to channel and share a message I hope resonates at the deepest level. 7 Chakra Meanings Get ready to go deep into your 7 Chakras (energy wheels) and learn how to use each chakra to bring greater awareness, wellbeing, and energy. I had a lot of fun recording this one, and as you'll hear, I let my You-est You declaration cards decide what our topic would be. Hint: I picked three cards, and you'll want to tune in to hear how all three play beautifully together in helping you to have your most grounded, connected, miraculous and joyful life. In case you need a very basic reminder, of the 7 chakra meanings, here is a quick breakdown of each chakra: Root: this chakra is the area of your legs and feet and is considered the root. The color associated is red, and this Chakra is all about feeling grounded, supported, safe, and having your basic needs taken care of. Sacral: this is the lower abdomen or womb area for women and is the deep connection to creativity, sensuality, sexuality, and birthing our best self. The color of the sacral is orange. Solar Plexus: this is the area near your belly button and mid stomach area and is all about connecting to your divine will, purpose, the soul's calling, and power (power with and power together, not power over). The color is yellow or gold. Heart: this chakra is the area in your chest by your heart and is all about opening your heart to greater compassion, unconditional love (for yourself first), passion, and living from your heart wisdom. The color associated with the heart is green, or pink. Throat: this is the area right at your throat and is all about speaking up, speaking out, and speaking your truth. The color is a deep, royal blue. Third Eye: this is the area right between your brows, connected to your 3rd eye, or 6th sense, and is about seeing beyond, seeing, trusting your intuition, inner wisdom, and greater visions. The color associated is indigo. Crown: this chakra is the area both at the top of your head and about 3 feet above it. It is connected to the cosmos and divine intelligence above and around us. The color is lavender or white. Tune in to the whole episode to learn more about the chakras and tuning into your intuition. Final Thoughts I've been asked quite a bit about where and how to get my You-est You declaration cards. They are excellent if you are looking to expand your own intuition and set powerful intentions and declarations every day. You can get the printed box of cards or pdf printable version at juliereisler.com/shop. I'd love to know what you experienced and got from this episode. S2 Ep 254The Science of Synchronicity with Dr. Philip Merry

Philip Merry, PhD, is a global cross-cultural team facilitator and team leadership coach, consultant, trainer, speaker and change specialist. He helps multi-cultural teams deal with difficult interpersonal and intercultural dynamics, and thus improve collaboration and engagement. He has conducted coaching, keynotes and training in 61 countries for 41 years. Clients comment on his high-level facilitation skills in helping organisations improve results by maximising teamwork, peak performance, reconciling conflicts, assisting those from different cultures to work together. In demand by global organisations, clients comment on his ability to inspire and put people at ease to establish a learning climate where people are motivated to give their best and impact results. Philip is a senior United Nations facilitator, Belbin Team Role Regional Rep. since 1996, a certified HeartMath Team and Resilience trainer and a Dr Joe Dispenza Change Your Mind Consultant. Phil recently completed a PhD in synchronicity and leadership with David Cooperrider as his supervisor. Philip is the only person in the world with a grounded theory PhD in Leadership & Synchronicity, and his book 9 Keys of Synchronicity will be published shortly. British by birth Philip has lived and worked in Asia for 32 years. Philip was also at one time a London taxi driver. As you might know, I'm obsessed with all things related to our intuition as well as serendipity and synchronicities. I heard Dr. Merry share about the Science of Synchronicity in the XChange leadership community and was blown away. I knew he would be a powerful guest, and am excited to share the highlights from our in-depth conversation. You can also find this episode on YouTube as well, and hoping you will share your thoughts on how this interview opened your own mind and heart. Let's start with the basic assumption and understanding that we live in a Quantum Field of magnetic energy. You and I are made up of energy and we all vibrate to different frequencies of energy. Dr. Merry gave the example of picturing a mobile phone in that just like a phone, your vibration will determine what comes in. Understanding this premise is helpful for setting the stage in how synchronicity works and knowing that the Quantum Field supports us. Here are some of the key elements from Dr. Merry's studies on synchronicity: The three pillars to synchronicity are mindset, the process of synchronicity and integrating synchronicity; all of the 9 keys fall into these three main sections. The first pillar is mindset and is about merging with the present moment and being where you are now, being open to source and believing that energy is bigger than you and lastly having a mindset open to possibility. This possibility mindset is about believing that the best things you desire are possible. The second pillar is all about looking for what's happening in your life that is out of the blue, celebrating it, noticing and recognizing that this is something to continue expecting. Intuition is natural and connected to synchronicity. Dr. Merry insists that we act upon our intuition and trust this energy system that gives us that 'knowing'. The third pillar of integrating synchronicity is about being of service to humanity, watching for and sharing your out of the blue experiences with others, be it in a leadership community, with family, friends and the world. Synchronicity for leadership integrates these 9 keys into leadership and teams. Thus, we then shift away from a Newtonian way (we're all separate) to the realization that we're all connected and part of a larger energetic system. Share your insights and stories of synchronicity in the You-est You Facebook Community for Soul Seekers and your miraculous out of the blue moments. As Dr. Merry said, the more we share our stories, the more synchronicity we will experience. Sacred Connection As always, this community is a sacred, safe place built on love and acceptance. S2 Ep 253Meet Sue B. Zimmerman, The Instagram Expert

Meet Sue B. Zimmerman Sue B. Zimmerman, also known as The Instagram Expert, is the creator of the most comprehensive online Instagram course, Ready Set Grow. Over the past 8 years, Sue B. has helped business owners turn Instagram into their most effective marketing platform, teaching them how to grow their Instagram following. She's been featured on Netflix, spoken on prominent stages all over the world, and helped thousands of people exceed their bottom lines with her courses and Instagram coaching. Sue B. lives and breathes her belief that you're never too old and it's never too late to make an impact on Instagram. You can find her on Instagram @TheInstagramExpert. The Instagram Expert For all those of you entrepreneurial souls who might fear or even loathe Instagram, you are going to learn in this episode why it's an incredibly valuable tool and how it can help expand your reach and grow your Instagram following. I had such a fun conversation with Sue B. Zimmerman, who is truly known as the Instagram Expert and has every right to claim this title. With over 130K followers and true fans on Instagram, she is here to share that you can do this at any age --- just make sure you are coming from authenticity and joy. Speaking of joy, Sue, a serial entrepreneur without a business degree but with lots of success, wisely shared that joy is the most important energy to align with. She has used this question of, 'what brings me joy?' over the past 30 years as she has built numerous 7 figure businesses doing what she loves. I have to say, I was so inspired by Sue and I think you will be too. Why Instagram is so Powerful Sue says to think of Instagram as a micro-website. It has a search engine, or SEO (search engine optimization), just like a website, and allows you to reach the masses, share offerings, and make a promise. She explains that the bio is where you make your promise, and it's important to create one where you are talking to your ideal person and putting in content that is relatable. You want to make sure to add what's in it for those who follow you. Presently there are over a billion people on Instagram...that's a lot of souls to connect with! It is important now more than ever to learn how to grow your Instagram following for large-scale impact. The Five Neighborhoods of Instagram Sue B. Zimmerman gave us an overview of the Five Neighborhoods of Instagram and it helped me so much. I'll be honest, while I know how to do the basic posting and a random story here and there, my relationship with Instagram has been kind of rocky. It's kind of been a bit of love and apathy. I learned from our conversation ways to make it a bit less intimidating and that much more fun, and dare I even say, joyful. If you have a business or even a side gig, I think it's worth it to tune in to the full episode. I'm certainly committing to being more connected to the genuine power of Instagram. Final Thoughts Sue B. Zimmerman has so much insight to share regarding how to grow your Instagram following. The title of The Instagram Expert was well earned. If you haven't followed her on Instagram be sure to click the link below and give the episode a listen for more juicy bits on expanding your reach and looking like a pro on Instagram. S2 Ep 252Forgiveness and the Ego with Aaron Abke

Meet Aaron Abke Aaron Abke was born and raised as a Pastor's Son in the Silicon Valley of California. He desired to work in Church Ministry like his father and went to college at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Music and Theology. He spent one year working as a full-time worship pastor at a church in San Jose until eventually, at 23, he felt called to leave his religion and pursue a deeper and more authentic spirituality. At 27 years old, Aaron Abke had a dramatic spiritual awakening that changed the course of his life. He was working as a signed Fitness Model in San Francisco and competing at the National level in men's bodybuilding at the time. He completely walked out of his former life to dedicate his life to seeking how to return to that state of Self-Realization permanently. Aaron's passion is teaching Unity Consciousness and Spiritual Awakening with the world, and he does so today via YouTube, Social Media, MasterClasses, and Workshops, primarily teaching through texts such as "A Course In Miracles" and "The Law of One". Aaron believes that Unity Consciousness and freedom from the Ego is the next evolutionary leap for mankind and is available for anyone who truly desires it. The Ego Wears Many Masks Aaron is an expert in 'A Course in Miracles' and talked a lot about the trappings of the ego. As he defined it, the ego is any time you are in the I, me, mine arena. It's our identity that we cling to; that isn't really who we are. Guilt is an anchor point of the ego, as is judgment. The ego is the mental activity of identifying with the function of the working mind. Identity and suffering is really the ego cracking the whip to carry out its orders. As 'A Course in Miracles' states, the ego is whatever is not Love. As a reference point, we talked about the basic understanding that we are Love and that all we truly are, is the witness. The spiritual ego, which takes on a different costume of sorts, is about I, me, shame, and judgment, often about others as it relates to spiritual matters. Forgiveness is the Way Forgiveness is a step-by-step destruction of the ego and allows for true oneness. Through forgiveness, we can heal by letting whatever is causing upset, to release. The important aspect is not to judge this and just to forgive. As is said in 'A Course in Miracles,' nothing real can be threatened. We're often equating ourselves with the unreal, believing things are real (which he calls transitory illusions), and you can't ever satisfy these identities. All identification is harmful, and what is needed is a shift in consciousness is going from judgment to discernment. Open-Hearted Freedom If you want true freedom, you need to come to the altar of life with broken-hearted humility and Love. In other words, whatever I love, I heal. Our goal and aim are to come with an open heart towards EVERYTHING. We're always becoming. Mother earth has offered us so many options to become love. Understanding we are one means you can't point fingers at others because you realize that you are the world. Don't look at others. It's our obligation to wake up and change ourselves and to become Love. Ideally, as many of the masters who have walked our earth have taught, judge nothing, and meet all with loving compassion and forgiveness. Final Thoughts Aaron Abke reminds us that the teachings in books such as 'Law of One' and 'A Course in Miracles' teach us how to separate ourselves from the ego and remind ourselves that we are one with all that is. Becoming conscious of these thoughts awakens us to new concepts to put into practice in our daily lives, helping us to live in the light of forgiveness and compassion. S2 Ep 251Self-Healing and the Divine Matrix with Gregg Braden

Meet Gregg Braden Gregg Braden is a six-time New York Times best-selling author, researcher, educator, lecturer, and internationally renowned as a pioneer bridging modern science, spirituality, and human potential. From 1979 to 1991 Gregg worked as a problem solver during times of crisis for Fortune 500 companies, including Cisco Systems where he became the first Technical Operations Manager in 1991. He continues problem-solving today as he merges modern science and the wisdom of our past to reveal real-world solutions to the issues that challenge our lives. His research has led to 15 film credits and 12 award-winning books now published in over 40 languages. Gregg is a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and is active with visionary organizations including the HeartMath Global Coherence Initiative and The Arlington Institute. He has presented his discoveries in over 30 countries on six continents and has been invited to speak to The United Nations, Fortune 500 companies, and the U. S. military. The United Kingdom's Watkins Journal lists Gregg among the top 100 of "the world's most spiritually influential living people" for the 6th consecutive year, and he is a 2020 nominee for the prestigious Templeton Award, established to honor "outstanding individuals who have devoted their talents to expanding our vision of human purpose and ultimate reality." This is the second time I was gratefully able to have Gregg Braden on as a guest. I highly recommend that you listen to our first conversation back in April 2020. Gregg has become a mentor, inspiration, friend, and someone who is steeped in science and the facts yet is here to remind us that we are wired for health, wellbeing, goodness, kindness, and resilience. I hope this conversation touching on the topics in his book The Divine Matrix both illuminates and reminds you of your own inner power and healing abilities. This is a time to go deep within and reconnect to our divine nature and inner workings. You Are Capable of Self-Healing The amazing Gregg Braden reminded us that while there is a battle of sorts playing out right now for our thoughts around our wellbeing (tune in to hear more), new science is giving way to a new story. I found this fact to be mind-blowing. Here are some amazing facts to consider: We are made of 50 trillion cells (that is a LOT of cells) There are .07 volts per cell (doesn't seem like a lot right now, but read on my friend) This equates to 3.5 trillion volts of electrical potential in our bodies! You read that right! Every cell releases photons of light, just like plants. We inherently possess a ton of inner energy and potential. We're often conditioned to think our body is weak but the good news is that we have the ability to self-regulate biologically through our breath, focus, movement, emotion, and language. We're a highly advanced soft technology, and we often forget this. Gregg has been studying both the wisdom and principles of Shamans, monks, indigenous elder tribe leaders, and many other beautiful practices from ancient civilizations. When you draw upon this knowledge and our inner power and electrical potential (literally), you realize that we're wired for wellbeing, health, and full healing. I found this information to be highly comforting and great news. Tuning Into The Divine Matrix It gets better...we know through quantum physics and much research that the Universe is alive, connected and intelligent, and one that likes us. The fundamental rule of nature is cooperation. Understanding that cooperation is how we are all intrinsically created has positive implications on what's possible for humanity. You can read much more about how all of this works in Gregg Braden's incredible bestselling book, The Divine Matrix. He shares that there's an emerging philosophy that shows consciousness informing itself through its creation. This is literally a world we can't see that exists in the field of potentiality, or the divine matrix. Gregg had recently connected with an indigenous elder and he was moved by this elder's observation that 'the people of the earth have become lost with their connection to the cosmos, spirit and earth.' Final Thoughts We're seeing a lot of fear play out right now, which can be experienced as hurt and expressed as hate. The question to look at is how might we arrive at values we can all share while having sovereignty over our thoughts and bodies. The better we know ourselves, the less we fear others and our own power. As we each tap into our own connection to ourselves, the earth, and humanity, we can begin to bring about a unified world. It begins with looking deep within ourselves and a little self-healing. To learn more, be sure to get Gregg Braden's book The Divine Matrix. S2 Ep 249Create a Spiritually Psyched and Grounded Life

Meet Spiritually Psyched Meet the brilliant and powerhouse women and founders of Spiritually Psyched, a collective with a powerful mission to help anyone suffering from trauma, addiction, or low self-esteem to reconnect to their soul through grounded psychological support and practical spirituality. Alissa Schwartz, Holistic Psychotherapist, Soul Coach, President & co-founder of The Holistic Center for Soulful Living, is also the visionary leader and executive director of the non-profit Soulful Living for Recovery 501(c)3. Alissa's life's work and passion is to help individuals, families & the greater community HEAL, raise awareness, educate and help others to evolve into their greatest potential using an integrative psycho-spiritual approach to care! Alissa works to bridge western medicine and eastern philosophy using an integrative approach to care! She believes in a balanced approach to healing and dreams of a world where medicine meets mindfulness and spirituality because THE BODY IS THE TEMPLE OF THE SOUL! Anna Miranda, a Psychic Medium, Interfaith Minister, and Hypnotist, began her spiritual journey at the age of 16 after a profound spiritual awakening and near-death experience. Since her experience, she has dedicated her life to the study of metaphysics. She is also the founder of The Miranda School of Intuitive Arts. Her school offers development classes and certifications in healing and intuitive arts. Anna serves as an intuitive guide by psychically tapping into your soul's imprint and vibrational resonance to help you become more aware that your soul is the divine student living in the earth school. Rhea Spina is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Reiki Master, and Spiritually Psyched co-founder. She incorporates complementary and alternative modalities of treatment to support overall awareness and wellbeing. Rhea brings conscious attention to our soul-based self through Reiki, Vibrational Sound Therapy, Drum Circles, and Psychoeducation. Rhea aims to empower individuals on their journey towards self-actualization. Soul family, you are going to feel like you were in a living room getting to listen in on a delicious conversation all about practical spirituality, how to tap into your soul and experience the full array of human emotions and experiences. I was joined by three new kindred sisters talking all about wanting to bridge the world of spirituality, mental health, and human consciousness. Get ready for an insightful convo! A Grounded View of Spirituality I talked with Alissa Schwartz, Rhea Spina, and Anna Miranda about the importance of making spirituality practical. Anna Miranda, a renowned psychic medium, shared the practices that help her stay grounded and spiritually connected, which are traditional mindfulness practices and prayer. She sees prayer as the biggest form of connection in action and takes time every morning to talk to her soul and a Higher Power. Prayer can be whatever you want it or make it to be. Spirituality should be an active part of our lives and something we participate in small ways regularly, and prayer is just one way to easily add it into your life. The Powerful Lessons from Addiction Alissa Schwartz had a beautiful take on defining addicts, which was that "addicts are frustrated mystics looking for spirit in the wrong places." In other words, addicts are often some of the most highly sensitive and spiritually connected individuals who are cut off from that connection due to blocking it with whatever addiction is prevalent. As was shared in this conversation, Anna also shared how addiction was the vehicle for her soul's purpose. Rhea explained that the real healing in addiction (or from any past trauma) comes when you can love the parts of yourself you wish you could change. It's about forgiving all of yourself first. Forgiveness is an empowering aspect of soulful living. How To Decipher Your Intuition The cornerstone of an intuitive knowing, download, or inner voice is that it will always be a subtle and calm voice that feels like pure truth. You will typically notice it in your body first. Intuition grows and is nurtured in stillness. Taking time for mindfulness practices and meditation will help cultivate fertile ground for you to hear, feel and decipher your intuition. Growing your intuition through meditation is a perfect means to practical spirituality and relaxing into soulful living. It covers so many bases, and the benefits are only positive. Raising The Vibe This point really stuck out to me; we all thrive when we're connected. It's time to connect more not only to ourselves but also to one another. Spiritually Psyched has launched their podcast, Spiritually Psyched, to help raise the vibration of the planet, connect more hearts and create space for others to feel safe, authentic, comfortable, and free. Alissa ended us on a beautiful note-that she hopes the 'mind, body, spirit' language is someday a language all of humanity is proficient in. Final Though

Meet Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor is a Harvard-trained and published neuroanatomist. In 1996 she experienced a severe hemorrhage in the left hemisphere of her brain causing her to lose the ability to walk, talk, read, write, or recall any of her life. Her memoir, My Stroke of Insight, documenting her experience with stroke and eight-year recovery, spent 63 weeks on the New York Times nonfiction bestseller list and is still routinely the #1 book about stroke on Amazon. Dr. Taylor is a dynamic teacher and public speaker who loves educating all age groups, academic levels, as well as corporations about the beauty of our human brain and its ability to recover from trauma. Also, in 2008, Dr. Taylor was chosen as one of Time magazine's "100 Most Influential People in the World" and was the premiere guest on Oprah Winfrey's "Soul Series" webcast. Dr. Jill Botle Taylor's latest book Whole Brain Living: The Anatomy of Choice and the Four Characters That Drive Our Life is on sale now. This conversation, if it doesn't change your life, please let me know! I was enamored throughout the entire interview with what I learned about our brain, how it functions, and ways to better understand why there can be such discord and challenge within our own thinking and emotional systems. Dr. Jill explains your brain's anatomy in a new way and incorporates a brilliant way to dialogue with the four distinct aspects. You're going to want to read on. Grab a paper and pen, so you too can name your four characters. I've shared our names below. Get ready to have your mind glowin', as I like to say (because who the heck really wants their mind blown). Whole Brain Living Did you know that your left and right brain each have their own amygdala and hippocampi? In Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor's book Whole Brain Living, she explains that these are the emotional centers responsible for feelings like anger, frustration, and connection. I had no idea that we have two of each and that each hemisphere has its own little team going on; the thinking tissue and the emotional tissue. You might wonder why this is interesting and how this affects your life; after talking to Dr. Jill, I realized that her research and work is both groundbreaking and crucial to better understanding our own development, way of processing life and emotional thinking, and how to better handle setbacks, anxiety, and tough situations. Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor's approach is one where we honor, acknowledge and tune into all four areas of our two hemispheres. This is what whole brain living is, and when you understand how powerful you are and the four characters are (see below), you will realize how much choice you have in creating a life that is fulfilling and truly connected to your deepest desires. I was blown away by this discussion, and I think you will be too. The Four Characters Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor has discovered what she calls the Four Characters. These are connected to the emotional and thinking tissue in our right and left hemispheres in our brain. I have outlined each of the four and invite you to give each character a name. Mine are listed below. The left thinking tissue in the left hemisphere - this is the rational thinking part that categorizes language, thinks through things quickly, likes to have control and be the boss, and is the typical 'Type A'. It does well with right and wrong, defines structure and details, and critically analyzes data. Both Dr. Jill and I call ours Helen. I chose Helen after my high school Journalism teacher, who was one of my best teachers and was a high Type A kind of person who was all about rational thinking and thinking critically and quickly. The emotional thinking tissue in the left hemisphere-is where we store emotions from the past and are connected to our limbic cells. The 2nd character is connected to what we know as the 'fight or flight' response and is the zone responsible for feelings and emotions like rage, self-loathing, and anger. Dr. Jill talks about having massive respect for this aspect of your brain as it is the part that clings to the sacred past and future. Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor calls this Abby, in connection to the abandoning process when leaving her mother's womb (this will make sense if you listen to the episode), and I call mine Randi, as a metaphor for when I've run or 'ran' away from emotions in the past. The emotional thinking tissue in the right hemisphere - this is our sensory, emotional connection to the present moment. This is a very experiential part of us that wants to stay only in the present and is curious about present experiences like noticing how clothing feels, hearing the birds singing, feeling the sun on your face. This is the adrenaline junkie aspect that wants to experience a tribal, communal, and creative present experience without judgment. For this character, think of joyfu

S2 Ep 247How to Rewire for Wealth with Barbara Huson

Meet Barbara Huson Barbara Huson (previously known as Barbara Stanny) is the leading authority on women, wealth, and power. As a bestselling author, financial therapist, teacher & wealth coach, Barbara has helped millions take charge of their finances and their best lives. Barbara's background in business, her years as a journalist, her Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology, her extensive research, and her personal experience with money give her a unique perspective and makes her the foremost expert on empowering women to live up to their financial and personal potential. Barbara Huson has been featured on Good Morning America, The View, Extra, The O'Reilly Report, and many times on CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, Fox News, PBS, and NPR, as well as in the New York Times and USA Today. Barbara is the author of 7 books: Prince Charming Isn't Coming: How Women Get Smart About Money Secrets of Six-Figure Women: Surprising Strategies to up Your Earnings and Change Your Life Overcoming Underearning: A Five-Step Plan to a Richer Life Finding a Financial Advisor You Can Trust: A Guide for Investors and Those Who Want To Be Breaking Through: Getting Past the Stuck Points in Your Life Sacred Success: A Course in Financial Miracles, and Rewire for Wealth was just published in January 2021 Barbara Huson talks very openly both in this conversation and in her books about being in a financial fog for the first 45 years of her life. She adopted the belief through her family upbringing that she didn't have to deal with finances or money, only to find out that after her husband left her and the country, that she owed hundreds of thousands of dollars. Her former husband was a stockbroker and also a compulsive gambler. Barbara has since learned that if you don't deal with your money, your money will deal with you and has gone on to teach thousands of women about how to create wealth, financial freedom, worthiness, and wellbeing. This was such a rich conversation and I'm excited for you to learn so much of what I've taken away from her many powerful books and teachings. The Secrets of Successful Women with High Earnings Barbara Huson explains how working with successful women who experience financial freedom still struggled with self-doubt. Proving that insecurities exist no matter how high up the ladder a woman may climb. The difference Barbara found is that each of these women felt the fear and did it anyway. They refused to let fear stand in their way of success, knowing that it was part of the equation. Barbara shares that the number one requirement for success and thriving financially is being willing to do what you fear. That is the big secret to financial freedom. The Power of Fear Barbara Huson has a take on fear that I think is incredibly empowering and true. In sum, it is to turn towards the fear and go there. Ask yourself, what are you most scared to do? That's the secret, that one little thing. Follow what scares you most. It is essential to have lots of support so that when that fear rises, and it will rise, you don't let it stop you, but be there to help you push through with your head held high. Overcoming Underearning In Barbara Huson's (previously Barbara Stanny) book Overcoming Underearning: A Five-Step Plan To A Richer Life, she defines underearning as when anyone who needs or desires to earn more but can't despite their best efforts. There isn't a specific number attached to underearning, as you could be underearning at 6-figures. It is reaching a point and being unable to break it no matter what you do. Maybe this is because you feel like what you are doing doesn't feed your soul. Instead, it deprives you of its true purpose, often having the quality of feeling a lack of money, time, and boundaries. Barbara explains how boundaries are crucial to set and should be based on a "hell yes"; otherwise, it's about having the courage to say no. Creating boundaries actually builds your self-esteem instead of encouraging self-doubt. She further explains in her book that problems with money are rarely about money and rather have everything to do with power. Barbara defines power from a new lens and explains that feminine power is about knowing who a woman is, knowing what she wants, and expressing that in the world unapologetically. The Addiction Many of Us Have There's an addiction that many of us have that keeps us from financial freedom-ATBS. ATBS stands for Addiction to Busyness Syndrome. This need to be busy keeps you from feeling inner pain and can be hard driving. It is the over "doing" that you numb yourself to what is really wanting to be birthed in your soul. The antidote is taking time to be, do nothing, and ultimately surrender to your soul's purpose. You must be willing to be quiet, to slow down and to stop the busyness and hear your soul's whisper. This allows the unfolding of your purpose, and from the purpose, your success. How To Find Sacred Success Barbara Huson's book Sacred Success: A Course in Financial Mira

S2 Ep 246Letting Go of People Pleasing

Meet Julie Reisler Julie Reisler is a master Life Designer® coach with over ten years of coaching experience and a master's degree in health & wellness coaching. Julie is the host and founder of the You-est You® Podcast, with over 230+ episodes, and is the founder of the School of Sacredology, a big-hearted community for individuals looking to live from their heart and soul and go from fear to faith. Julie has been featured in Forbes magazine, MindBodyGreen, The Chopra Center, and Thrive Global. She is also a prominent teacher and guide on the popular app Insight Timer and is on the faculty at Georgetown University in their coaching program. To learn more about Julie and how she might support you on your You-est You journey, go to juliereisler.com. The Trap of People Pleasing If you're listening to this episode, my hunch is that either you or someone you love dearly has struggled with people-pleasing. Here's the thing, my friend, this one has deep roots and can wreak way more havoc than realized. Tune in to hear ways to let go of people-pleasing so that you can bring greater alignment, kindness, and healthy boundaries into your life. I share some of my personal struggles and learnings that I hope help you to make shifts and changes for your highest good. As always, take what you like and leave the rest. The Question To Ask Yourself I have learned that one of my most stealth coping mechanisms since I was a little girl was to make sure I was doing, saying, and acting in a way that would make you happy and feel good. This kind of works-until it doesn't. In addition to it being a highly co-dependent way of being, it blocks you from being your You-est You because this people-pleasing behavior pushes you away from the core parts of you. The question to ask yourself that will help you feel into what you truly desire and align with is 'Is this true for me?' I want to give a huge shout-out to Rev. Frances Fayden (who has been on my podcast twice) for helping me to see this was missing in my own life. This question should be the new compass for all of us recovering people pleasers. After asking yourself this question, you need to get quiet, pause, and feel with your body wisdom what is true for you. Taking on this practice will allow you to build trust, faith, and confidence in your own inner knowing and body wisdom. The power of 'No, thank you.' If you've read this far, I'm thinking we're cut from the same cloth. Saying no has probably been one of the hardest words to say out loud. I remember reading Shonda Rhimes' bestselling book, 'The Year of Yes,' and thought...I do not need a year of saying yes; I need a year of saying NO! I recently interviewed the lovely Kate Northrup, who talked about the power of saying no and doing less. Saying no is not going to feel normal and may be weird at first. At least it didn't feel normal for me. I have learned through tapping into my body wisdom, after asking myself a question about something I'm wavering on, that if I listen and get still, I will have my answer. Most recently, I heard the answer from within, and it was, 'No, thank you.' You can, of course, just say no, as 'no' is a full sentence in itself. I like adding the 'thank you' as it adds an element of appreciation, gratitude, and thanks. For me, this will be the year of no, thank you—such a beautiful way to set boundaries for anyone struggling with people-pleasing. Kindness to yourself Ok, so I know our type - we try to be kind to everyone, often missing the most important person to show true kindness to -- ourselves. In addition to asking yourself, 'Is this true for me,' start incorporating the question, 'Is this kind to me?' Or better said, 'Am I being kind to myself right now?' As we know that all of our outer world reflects our inner world, it's time to start bringing the qualities we want to see 'out there' like radical kindness, compassion, and integrity, to our inner world. Often when we are busy people-pleasing, we forget to put our needs first but pausing to ask yourself these questions can help you set the intention to balance your needs and set necessary boundaries. Final Thoughts Recovering from people-pleasing is a winding road, but with a bit of time and effort (and self-forgiveness), you can teach yourself new, healthier behaviors. Please let me know how you are being more true to your You-est You, what it feels like to say no, thank you, and ways in which you are being more kind to yourself, sweet friend. Sacred Connection As always, this community is a sacred, safe place built on love and acceptance. It was created to help you evolve and expand into your highest self. Please share your wisdom, comments, thoughts. I love hearing from you and learning how you are being your truest, you-est you. S2 Ep 245Spiritually Fit: Spiritual Awareness for High Achievers with Kate Eckman

Kate Eckman empowers high-achieving individuals to actualize their full potential. She leverages her experience as a well-known communications, performance and mindfulness expert, accomplished entrepreneur, and elite athlete to equip leaders with the tools, methodology, and energetic boost they need to compete and win at the game of life. With a results-driven approach rooted in neuroscience, positive psychology, and whole-person coaching techniques, Kate helps her clients succeed in and out of the boardroom and on and off the field. She guides them to identify who they are beneath their titles and labels, clarity their priorities and values, and then co-create a game plan to get them from where they are now to where they most desire to be … adding in some fun and humor along the way. Kate incorporates a mind-body-spirit approach into her coaching engagements, recognizing that when we take care of our inner world, our outer world takes care of itself. Kate recently led and organized the team behind the launch of QVC's first and only proprietary beauty brand, which made more than four million dollars in sales the first day alone. Known for her incomparable salesmanship, she helps global beauty brands shape their vision, strategy and innovation to inspire the achievement of breakthrough results. Kate earned her B.A. in communications from Penn State University, where she was an Academic All-American swimmer. She received her master's degree in broadcast journalism from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. She graduated at the highest degree from Columbia University's executive and organizational coaching program. Kate is the author of, The Full Spirit Workout: A 10-Step System to Shed Your Self-Doubt, Strengthen Your Spiritual Core, and Create a Fun & Fulfilling Life, which is a workout for your spirit that will help you build strong mental and emotional muscles and get fit on the inside. Passionate about mindfulness practices for both brain and body health, Kate is a meditation teacher and course creator for Insight Timer, the world's number-one ranked free meditation app. It's Time To Redefine Success It's exhausting to pretend that all is always going well and it can feed into an never ending cycle of expecting perfectionism of yourself and others. It's time to redefine success on all levels, which is not about being perfect (doesn't exist anyhow) and is more about showing up the best you can be, in that moment, and being of service to help others. By doing this kind of way of success, you'll connect authentically and also feel less alone or stuck in the perfectionism rut. It's not about toxic positivity and always having to be positive, but more about embracing humanity and allowing yourself to have an off day(s) and sharing that openly with others. The Full Spirit Workout Kate talked about how we all need more time to go within and just like we spend time working out and building our muscles, we need a workout for our spirit; an emotional workout of sorts. This book was a labor of love that she felt was her divine assignment, and a way to teach a new way of being fit; on the inside spiritually and emotionally. It's time we put our wellbeing first and make this a priority. The 5 P's of Self-Confidence These are the 5 P's Kate talks about in her book about how to build more genuine confidence. The root of confidence means 'to trust', so this is really about learning to trust your inner wisdom. Presence: this is about showing up fully connected to your higher self and spirit, and as a full person Patience: trusting all in divine timing and surrendering is part of the importance of patience. Purpose: Show up no matter what and finding what truly drives you Preparation: Prepare, show up and build habits that support your highest good. Practice: get support to stick to your purpose and always keep trying, and practicing We chatted about the bonus P's: Pause: take time to process first and pause before responding to your inner voice or that of someone else's that is unkind or not helpful and Person: be a person who leans into trust. These will all bring you deeper and greater peace. Boost Your Mental Metabolism Just like food turning into energy (calories), your thoughts also turn into energy. You want to choose your thoughts wisely and tap into the power of reframing to look at situations from a new perspective. A great question to ask yourself if feeling stuck, is 'What if?'...as in, what if this is happening for a higher purpose? S2 Ep 244Do Less and Say No with Kate Northrup

As an entrepreneur, bestselling author, speaker, and mother, Kate Northrup has built a multimedia educational platform that reaches hundreds of thousands globally. She's committed to supporting ambitious women to light up the world without burning themselves out. Kate teaches data and soul-driven time and energy management practices that result in saving time, making more money, and experiencing less stress through her Do Less Planner, her programs, and her books, Do Less and Money: A Love Story. Do Less was named one of the 100 Best Time Management Books of All Time. Kate's work has been featured by The Today Show, The New York Times, Harvard Business Review, Yahoo! Finance, Forbes, Women's Health, Glamour, and more. Kate lives with her husband and their daughters in Florida. DO LESS For all of you high-achieving, ambitious and uber productive folk out there, this is going to feel very uncomfy. As a recovering overachiever myself, i.e. workaholic, I know firsthand what it's like to measure feelings of worthiness, productivity and what seems like happiness based on your amount of 'doing'. We're here to tell you that this is NOT the route to inner peace, joy or success. Kate talked all about how she was smack in the face with this question during the hardest year of her life when her first baby needed a lot of her attention and all she had was enough energy to feed herself, and her daughter. Interestingly enough, during this time of being less productive was also her most successful year financially. She started to ask herself, 'Who am I if I'm not productive?'. This question changed her life as she started to unpack the myth about needing to be super duper productive to be successful. She started to focus on the 20% of her business that was most important that gets 80% of the results. This is called the Pareto principle, where 80% of the results typically come from 20% of your efforts. She started to see how obsessed our culture is with being busy and that we're immersed in a programming that doesn't value rest. Kate decided to create values that are not based on her productivity, and this is much of what she teaches today. YOUR WORTHINESS IS NOT WHAT YOU THINK As mentioned above, a big ah-ha for Kate, was realizing that her worthiness (and yours as well) is not based on productivity or doing. As girls, many of us were taught that our worthiness was dependent on being pleasing to others. We would please others to prove we exist and are worthy. Until recent, women have been valued for more beyond giving pleasure, having a home and raising a family. Growing up with this kind of belief system left many of us women feeling the need to be people pleasers, have zero boundaries and work at all costs to be seen and successful. In my life, this leads to a total mental, physical and spiritual breakdown. Kate shared about her breakdown story as well. I loved Kate's definition of how she values herself and her time, she said that 'her life is in service of the Divine, of something greater. You can't be of service and there for everyone, we have to start by saying no.' JUST SAY NO For those of us recovering people pleaser (hello!), creating boundaries and saying no to others can feel like poking your eye out with your dinner fork. It's not fun and it takes practice. The problem is that we don't have unlimited hours and we need to start following our own inner navigation system. Kate discussed how she uses her menstrual cycle and the moon in a very beautiful and powerful way to track and create personal policies that help create boundaries around her time and energy. Kate has created a daily energy tracker to see what has worked well, what didn't and focus on her learnings. For example, she realized that one of her favorite ways to spend time off was to go to the beach with her daughters. Today she has Fridays off for beach time with her children. She has created these policies for her business and personal life, and they have allowed her to expand, reach more people and only say yes to what really moves her. Side note, I am grateful to the moon and back that she said yes to this podcast, as this was an absolutely enlightening and delish convo. To take Kate's 8-day free THE NO CHALLENGE, go to https://katenorthrup.com/no (I'll certainly be doing this one!) IT'S TIME TO TRUST YOURSELF When I asked Kate what moved her most and what she felt was her legacy, she said without missing a beat, 'to get women into their bodies to trust themself. Our bodies are wired to give birth and protect life.' It's time to trust ourselves and see that you are the embodiment of the Divine. This is all that truly matters. What we do in the day to day has nothing to do with a life well lived, it's about full embodiment of your sacred gifts, heart and inner calling. Love it, Kate! S2 Ep 243Heal: A Documentary About Healing Within with Kelly Noonan

Kelly Noonan Gores is the writer, director, and producer of HEAL, a documentary feature about the mind-body connection and our body's innate ability to heal. She also authored the follow up book HEAL which has twice the content of the film. A Los Angeles native, she grew up in front of the camera acting on and off in commercials, TV, and film from the age of 7. In 2012 she started Elevative Entertainment with the intention to create conscious media that informs, inspires, and empowers. She has a passion for psychology, wellness, and spirituality and an insatiable appetite for understanding consciousness. As such, she has spent the last 18 years studying the teachings of luminaries like Eckhart Tolle, Marianne Williamson, Ernest Holmes, Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra and many more. Her intention with the documentary is to empower people to take control of their health back and demonstrate that almost anything is possible if we believe it is so. Kelly is a seeker, a meditator, and enjoys traveling, sports, reading and writing. GETTING OVER SELF-DOUBT Kelly shared so openly that while she had dreamt of creating a documentary with her favorite teachers about health, from an integrative perspective, it took years to take action. She talked about Brene Brown's work helping her to move through this voice in her head that can be negative. I loved Kelly's powerful quote that "self-doubt is the original pandemic". You've got to surround yourself with non-egoic people and remember that your heart's desire is here to be fulfilled. We're all so grateful Kelly listened to her heart and pursued her passion as she created one of the most powerful documentaries about the power of our bodies to heal themself. If you haven't yet watched this film, it's a must. She surrounded herself with a small but mighty team who were supportive. She had a clear vision and passion and talked about surrendering to the experience and the Universe's greater plan. Loved this quote, "If your calling is strong enough, follow the chills, messages and signs, and trust that the Universe will provide the pathway to make your calling come to life." YOUR ENERGY IS EVERYTHING Kelly interviews some of our most influential healers, practitioners, physicians, naturopaths, and brilliant scientists, like Dr. Bruce Lipton, Gregg Braden, Peter Crone (make sure you tune in to my interviews on the You-est You podcast with these three), Anthony Williams, Dr. Joe Dispenza and many others, on the power of our own ability to heal and align to wellness. The book that influenced Kelly the most was The Biology of Belief, by Dr. Bruce Lipton, which in essence states that we're not the victims of our genes. Our thoughts affect our energy and by changing your thoughts and actions, you can change your energy in the electromagnetic field. Another key aspect to understand is that between 0 - 7 years old, we're like sponges downloading other programs from our parents, school, community, religion, etc. At least 70% of this programming is limiting and negative. This then becomes our subconscious programming and what's needed to make real change is breaking the generational patterns. Your genetics are just a blueprint; your prediction of the world will color the lense of looking at life. YOU ARE MEANT TO HEAL We are co-creators with Life. Life will nudge us and tap us on the shoulder. You can listen to the nudge or wait until your wake up call is a disease, a broken bone or an accident. We have a lot more control over our health. It's never your fault for having a disease, it's always created at the subconscious level. The most powerful tools for healing are love and gratitude. Love is the highest healing energy and love is our source. When we align to source energy, we can heal. Don't forget that we are designed for tough times like this. Become aware of your choices and remember that there is powerful intelligence in our body that is a healing energy. S2 Ep 242Choose Love: Heart-centered Living

There's a lot of energy going on right now between our all being a little over a year into the pandemic, feeling out how to best care for our bodies and those we love, and how to boost our immunity and keep our spirits high. In this episode I share ways to tune more carefully into your heart's inner wisdom and how to come from love versus fear, no matter what is going on. RELEASE YOUR TRIGGERS: I share my practice in how to identify triggers, see what's really going on underneath the surface and how to let your heart share what you really need to heal. This journaling practice has been transformative and a game changer for greater healing. SELF CARE IS NON-NEGOTIABLE Self-care is not selfish, it's the opposite. It's time to start rewiring the way you look at caring for yourself; mind, body and spirit. We are a triune being, needing attention, care and nourishment for all three of these aspects of ourself. You are worthy and deserving of full self-care and time to nurture your full self. WE NEED YOU IN YOUR HEART If we want to change the consciousness of this planet, it starts with you and I learning to gravitate and get comfy staying in our heart, i.e. in love versus fear. Practice by putting your hand on your heart and asking what it is that is the most loving thing you can do at that moment. Start to train yourself to be heart-centered in all aspects of life. It's not only possible, it's how we are wired at birth. S2 Ep 241Listening to Your Soul with Christine Kane

Meet Christine Kane Before Christine Kane founded what became a multi-million dollar coaching company, she spent fifteen years in the music industry, producing seven CDs and a DVD on her own label while touring the globe over 200 days a year. She shared the stage with luminaries like John Mayer, The Beach Boys, Los Lobos, Nanci Griffith, and Shawn Colvin. Her success as a singer-songwriter had fans asking how she did it while staying true to her art and her soul. Those backstage questions turned into weekend retreats. Those retreats turned into coaching requests - and set her on a new path. In 2010, Kane opened Uplevel You, a company that serves the ever-growing class of sensitive, idea-driven, aggression-averse entrepreneurs (a class she counts herself a member of). She has really worked to change the definition of entrepreneur. Her work has attracted more than 125,000 loyal email subscribers and has coached thousands of clients into the six and seven figures in their businesses. She has spoken at events from the Martha Beck annual conference to the iconic Emerging Women event. Today, Christine leads a small yet mighty team at Uplevel World Headquarters in Asheville, North Carolina. I loved Christine's raw authenticity, soulful slant on life and business, and the beautiful combination of owning her power and humility. I was quite inspired by Christine's decision to leave her successful singing and performing career to follow the nudges of her soul to help sensitive, creative and ambitious entrepreneurs integrate the delicate balance of soul and strategy. If this resonates even a little bit, you're going to love this interview. Grab a cup of coffee or tea, and get ready to hang with Christine and me for a cozy and delicious conversation. The 3 A's We talked about the importance, especially for those 'quick start' high energy types, to pause before any talk, engagement, activity, or even a meal to get clear on your intention. Christine shared her soulful intention, the 3 A's, as she calls it, where she wishes awakeness, awareness, and abundance for all involved. I loved these 3 A's and thought they might inspire you as well. Soul + Strategy Christine Kane's book, The Soul-Sourced Entrepreneur, both goes into her personal story as well as the frameworks she teaches to help what she calls the 'highly creative, secretly sensitive and wildly ambitious' to excel, succeed and build a career and life that comes from both strategy and the soul. This is not just about having a great mindset, as what's often overlooked is connecting with the richness and lessons from our soul. This book and words of wisdom are for the new class of entrepreneurs who want to incorporate soul-filled wisdom and honor some of the most significant overlooked assets: intuition, sensitivity, and creativity. Don't Tolerate Mediocrity. Listen to Your Soul. We have to start learning to tell the truth, meaning our own personal truth. As human beings, we want to fit in, and sometimes when listening to your soul's calling, it will have you take a different course than expected. Christine shares her experience of this after realizing she didn't want to be a renowned singer and performer and instead felt called to serve in a different way through coaching and guiding others. If you simply tolerate your life because it feels comfortable or you're scared of what others think, just realize that it will only get worse to keep accepting a life you don't absolutely love. Tapping into your truth will help you get tuned in and stop deflecting what your soul knows to be right for you. Being able to release these fixed mindsets and listen to your soul is what will move you towards your higher calling. Living a Soul Sourced® Life Christine shared her ways of staying in alignment with her best self, which has a different look to it than in years past. Her daily routine of self-connection is about finding time to meditate (but not being rigid about it). Also, embodying that every day is sacred, reading something spiritual, and offering prayers to remember who she is. She makes time to lift weights to stay physically strong and shows up as present as possible. Doing silent meditation retreats and other inner work have been game-changers for her life. Today she welcomes the natural ebbs and flows of being her most authentic self. Being your You-est You® As Christine describes it, it's a natural way of being and an organic way to navigate the world. Start by trusting your life and soul. It will all show you where to go. Sacred Connection As always, this community is a sacred, safe place built on love and acceptance. It was created to help you evolve and expand into your highest self. S2 Ep 240The Kindness Diaries with Leon Logothetis

Meet Leon Logothetis Leon Logothetis is a humanitarian, best-selling author, and cause-adventurer. He is the host of the Netflix series "The Kindness Diaries", where he circumnavigated the globe on his vintage yellow motorbike "Kindness One," giving life-changing gifts along the way to unsuspecting good Samaritans. All of this while relying solely on the kindness of strangers. In February 2019, a second season of the series was released, this time with Leon traveling from Alaska all the way to the bottom of Argentina. The show is currently being streamed on Netflix in 190 countries Leon's greatest passion is combining adventures with great, meaningful causes. He teamed up with First Book® and drove a car from London to Mongolia, raising money to buy 10,000 books for underprivileged children. He drove a vintage London taxi across the states, giving free cab rides to the needy and working with Classwish to bring hope back to schools. He has collaborated-for-a-cause on web-series for Southwest Airlines, Little Things, and Trivago, garnering millions of views and raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for those in need. Leon has documented his travels for numerous media outlets, including Good Morning America, Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle, Outside, Good, Psychology Today, and The New York Times. His best-selling books "Amazing Adventures of a Nobody", "The Kindness Diaries", "Live, Love, Explore," and "Go Be Kind" are in stores now. Where Kindness Begins Leon Logothetis started this inner journey after waking up realizing he had everything on the outside but felt empty on the inside. He decided to dedicate his life to finding his authentic self and essentially "unlearn everything we were taught." This is a great question to ask yourself, what would be helpful to unlearn so that you can feel even more connected to your You-est You? Where can you begin to be more kind? To interject random acts of kindness into your life? How can you be more intentional and speak words of kindness daily? We have to train ourselves to live more purposefully in a kind manner, not just to others but also to ourselves. Expanding Empathy Some of the most powerful takeaways from our conversation: Your life is not about living someone else's dream. Spend time in stillness, in nature, and silence to hear your own dream. The secret sauce of kindness is empathy. There is no problem being as successful, wealthy, or famous as you can be. Just make sure you are basing everything on empathy, kindness, and compassion. There needs to be a bigger purpose in fulfilling any dream, goal, or desire. Find that bigger purpose, and hold close to it. Leon shared that he was a bit doubtful at the beginning of his expedition from Alaska to Argentina until he heard his inner wisdom say, "You are doing this because others will be inspired to be kind." This larger 'why' helped him in difficult times of doubt and fear during the rest of his trip. True wealth is in your heart. Never forget that. No material wealth can come close to the wealth that lives in you right now. Hoping you were as inspired by Leon's experience, strength and wisdom as I was. Share how you will find more ways to be kind to yourself and to others! Sacred Connection As always, this community is a sacred, safe place built on love and acceptance. S2 Ep 239How to Impact Millions with Selena Soo

Meet Selena Soo Selena Soo is a publicity and marketing strategist for visionary entrepreneurs, experts, and authors who want to reach millions with their message. She's helped clients and students get featured in places like O, The Oprah Magazine, Forbes, and Inc. while landing interviews on popular podcasts and national TV. Many of Selena's clients have become industry leaders with 6 and 7-figure businesses, raving fan bases, and hundreds of thousands of followers. Her signature approach comes down to building powerful and long-lasting relationships with influencers and the media in a thoughtful, authentic way. A former New Yorker, Selena now lives by the beach in beautiful Puerto Rico. You Can Impact Millions One of the things I love about Selena is how genuine and caring she is. She spoke so openly and vulnerably about being in an abusive relationship and how isolating it was. Selena recently shared her story in a very public and brave way to help other women who have experienced a similar kind of trauma. The full article can be read HERE. (LINK HERE IN SHOW NOTES: https://selenasoo.medium.com/i-was-in-an-emotionally-abusive-relationship-even-as-a-smart-and-successful-woman-8804ffe58cc9) One of the gifts of sharing your story through the portal of media and publicity is the ability to help, serve, inspire and impact millions. Selena's strength and the gift of being a super-connector and media strategist aided her own courageous choice to share her story. Selena gave us a fantastic quote that spoke volumes of truth, "People aren't looking for more information. People are looking for inspiration." Sharing your story can be insightful and inspiring for others who may be walking the same path but be several steps behind you. Why Publicity Is So Important Like Selena, I also believe you have a story that is worth sharing. Whether it's to reach more people you would like to serve, grow your audience, inspire many more people, or help others in need, publicity is the best way to extend your reach and serve in a much bigger way. If your heart is calling you to make a more significant impact in the world, it is time to listen so you can reach millions. Selena Soo reminds us that even if you are introverted or a heart-centered, highly sensitive person, there is a place for you in the publicity world. She is an introvert, and while it was a struggle in the beginning, Selena learned ways to adapt and work with who she innately was. Publicity Hacks & Don'ts When looking to gain publicity, there are some basic dos and don'ts. Keep in mind that you don't need a huge platform to pitch the media or do interviews. You do need to focus on your main topic and offers. Selena explains that you'll want to be thoughtful and strategic about your focus, especially if you have multiple offerings. Don't pitch topics. Instead, pitch story ideas in an exciting headline format. When pitching your story, describe your idea with a few bullet points so it's clear and concise. Less Is More I talked to Selena about how she grew to a 7-figure business in such a short amount of time. I loved her answer. Less is more, don't get caught in the shiny object syndrome. Simplify and stay focused. Eliminate whatever is not your essential heart-centered offering. Pour your attention into what you're doing. Stay laser-focused and create excellence in one area. Build connected and genuine relationships that you can build upon. Take action with your fears, so you don't let your worries drive your action. When Selena talked about getting focused on that "one thing," she recommended the book Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less by Greg Mckeown. This one keeps coming up, so obviously, it's a must-read! Selena graciously offered an amazing gift, which you can get at juliereisler.com/publicity. In addition to three powerful videos about how to get more publicity, Selena also includes: A list of 200 media outlets. A 12-month in-depth publicity calendar. A 7-step action plan to implement your publicity outreach. Sacred Connection As always, this community is a sacred, safe place built on love and acceptance. S2 Ep 238Success is a Healing Path with Rev. Frances Fayden

Rev. Frances Fayden is an Interfaith Minister, an Energetic Success Coach, and co-founder of the Magnify Your Miracles membership. A master intuitive healer and spiritual counselor, Frances is fluent in the language of the human energy field known as the chakra system and can quickly translate energetic information to help her clients heal & transform. In 2012, Frances had a profound encounter with Mother Mary, which changed the direction of her life and awakened her life purpose. She has been channeling messages from Mother Mary ever since. She loves working with Highly Sensitive Souls who have a big vision and mission yet are seeking validation and personal guidance with their next steps. Frances says, "By incorporating Mother Mary's guidance along with feedback from your own energy field, and then applying the Universal Laws of Manifestation, miracles can occur." She is the author of the books Meditation is Friendship with God and How to Recognize God. Her passion is connecting people to the unconditional love of the Divine and then teaching them how to magnify that connection, which is the key to Magnifying Your Miracles. What Does it Mean to Be Sensitive? Sensitivity is a spectrum. We all have some level of sensitivity. Often highly sensitive people are very in tune with energy, be it a person's energy or the energy of a space, home, building, or even city. Those who are highly sensitive are often highly creative and have a high level of awareness, and tend to notice things that might go undetected. Self-care is crucial for those who are higher on the sensitivity spectrum, as is having plenty of time for healing and self-care practices. Finding Your Comfort Zone Rather than trying to push yourself out of your comfort zone, find out how you want to expand your comfort zone. Most spiritual entrepreneurs and highly sensitive people need a different way to bring forth their vision or run a business. The healing path of success is about being kind to yourself, building confidence through seeing what's working and what isn't, and most importantly, knowing your worth. Rather than shocking your system by trying to go too far out of your comfort zone, remember the mother nature metaphor of pregnancy, which is about a slow shifting of capacity and expansion, one day at a time. Celebrate All Little Successes We tend to want the big wins now, but this is not how sustainable change and growth happens. Start celebrating your little successes now and watch as your capacity to receive, grow and succeed increases. As Rev. Frances said, "you shouldn't have to hurt yourself to succeed." The Mantra That Will Change Your Life If you want greater freedom in your life, the key is forgiveness. Most importantly, forgiving yourself is crucial. One of the messages Rev. Frances channeled was from Archangel Zadkiel, who shared that one of the most powerful mantras you can say to yourself is, "I forgive". You don't even have to know who you are forgiving or why. There is no reason even to be specific as to what you are forgiving. Using it as a general statement and intention will tell your subconscious that you are ready to forgive on all levels. This solo episode was recorded with lots of heart and the intention of helping you to better understand the toxic effects of judgment and the healing elixir of forgiveness and connection. Really this is about how to stop judging yourself (you know who you are) and giving yourself the grace and space to be on the human journey here to learn and grow from all experiences. If you prefer a visual version, do check my episode out on YouTube, where all episodes are posted.) The Surprising Effects of Judgment *Judgment is one of the most toxic chemicals. Take time for a sacred pause to feel to heal, and let go of judgment of yourself. * Share authentically with someone you trust whatever is most uncomfortable. Don't let judgment of yourself get in the way. * Doing an inventory of stored up feelings like anger, resentment and frustration is an excellent way to give space to what's going on below the surface. The important part is not to judge yourself or any feeling that emerges. All is well. * The healing will happen in your feeling and in revealing how you feel. *The ego lives in fear and judgment. You and I are either in fear or love. * The acronyms to remember: EGO (Edging God Out) and FEAR (False Evidence Appearing Real) The Power of Forgiveness * We are all made of energy. Unexpressed emotions remain as stored up energy in your cells and can lead to deeper frustration, resentment, stress, despair and even illness. * Forgiveness, first for yourself, and then for others, is a powerful way to change your own internal energy. * Look for the bigger picture and a wider lens of whatever is needing your forgiveness. Imagine your listening to a friend tell you what you are working on forgiving yourself for. Extend the same grace you'd give a friend, to yourself. * Warning: The act of forgiving yourself (and others) will change your life. Enjoying the show? S2 Ep 236Dying to be a Good Mother with Heather Chauvin

Heather Chauvin is a leadership coach and strategic parenting expert who helps ambitious women become leaders at work and home. Drawing from her professional experience as a social worker and her life experience raising three boys, Heather created a signature approach to focus her clients on sustainability, profitability and ease in business and life. She is the host of the Mom Is In Control Podcast where she reveals her most vulnerable truths about womanhood, marriage, parenting, living through stage 4 cancer and running a successful business—without burning out. Heather has been featured as a TEDx speaker and on The OWN Network, CTV, and The Jenny McCarthy Show. She has also appeared in Entrepreneur and Real Simple. When Heather isn't being a classic Canadian by driving her boys to hockey practice, you'll find her curled up on the couch with her husband surfing the internet, researching their next family adventure. Heather shared her very vulnerable and frightening story, which ended up being a clear lesson in her life. She learned to listen to that tiny small voice and to trust yourself. Other powerful take-aways were: What you resist, will persist. Rather than avoiding resistance, move into and through it. What helped Heather to heal on all levels was to start with the question, 'How do you want to feel?" She referenced Danielle LaPorte's Desire Map work and found the questions: 'What do you want, What do you need and What do you desire?' will always guide you towards your highest self. Managing your energy and learning energetic time management is key. Learn to tune into the energy you need in that moment. Start somewhere and keep reinvesting in yourself. Do this by putting yourself on the calendar. Schedule reset and space on the calendar first. If you're not learning, you're done. Trust yourself and trust those whispers. Loved this quote from Heather, "We're priceless beings, we're all valuable. Period.' S2 Ep 235The Secret of Stillness with Bob Roth

Bob Roth is one of the most experienced and sought-after meditation leaders in America. Over the past 45 years, Bob has taught Transcendental Meditation to many thousands of people, and is the author of the 2018 New York Times bestseller, "Strength in Stillness: The Power of Transcendental Meditation." As CEO of the David Lynch Foundation Bob has helped bring meditation to more than a million students in underserved schools in 35 countries, to military veterans and their families who suffer from post-traumatic stress, and to women and children who are survivors of domestic violence. Bob also directs the Center for Health & Wellness, which is bringing meditation to companies, government organizations, and nonprofit organizations. Bob is the host of the SiriusXM radio show, "Success Without Stress" and has spoken about meditation to industry leaders at such gatherings as Google Zeitgeist, Aspen Ideas Festival, Aspen Brain Conference, Wisdom 2.0, and Summit. I have been meditating with Bob since this past summer of 2020 and was amazed by his calming energy, daily commitment to provide free Transcendental Meditation (TM in short) for all those who wanted to meditate (and twice a day!) and kindness. His energy reminded me of a modern day Mr. Rogers and for the first time, I stopped feeling badly that I couldn't stop my thoughts. In fact, this is where I learned through constant reminders to easily and effortlessly use my mantra and allow any thoughts without resistance. When I reached out, Bob answered immediately (not typical for someone in a busy, high profile position) and said he'd love to do an interview about his journey and the life changing effects of meditation. Below are some of the high points from that conversation. If you would like to try the daily TM meditation, I have listed the link below. The daily sessions are free, held at 7 am, 8:30 am and 6:00 pm EST, and open to anyone. Being your You-est You is about following the light of truth from within and connecting to your own inner light (I loved Bob's definition). This is a powerful time to go deeper within and find your most truthful you. Everyone is feeling the uncertainty during this pandemic. Uncertainty is one of the biggest causes of stress because the brain wants to keep things certain. We're definitely in unchartered territory and in need of staying calm more than ever. Research of TM has shown that it creates profound healing as it allows the limbic system to release stress and for knots of trauma to release. TM has been used with veterans, those on the front line of duty such as firefighters, police officers and medical professionals, and others overcoming serious trauma to help alleviate massive amounts of stress. Bob suggests treating TM as a medical intervention. The benefits of TM and meditation in general is likened to the ocean where you might have choppy and large waves on the surface, but deeper down it is calm, quiet and serene. The more you meditate, the more your mind becomes like the bottom of the ocean. These deeper levels are more satisfying and given the opportunity, the mind will always be drawn to something more kind. It is in this quieter, lovely place you can meet your own inner-self, with kindness. Some misconceptions about meditation are that your thoughts are supposed to stop. Bob shares that the brain never stops, rather it's about accessing thoughts from a more peaceful and settled place. The mind and body are not separate, as many of us think. They are one. There are profound physiological benefits to being in the restful state of meditation as it allows for your body to heal. I asked Bob what his brightest hope is for the future and the legacy he wishes to leave. He shared that his aim is for humanity to get the normalcy of enlightenment --- that enlightenment is for any human being, regardless of background, religion, spiritual orientation or anything else. He is most passionate about restoring the highest human values on the planet; humility, service, kindness, energy, strength and wisdom. If you're called to watch this on YouTube (LINK!!!!!!!!!!!), you can see Bob and my interview there as well. Let me know about your meditation practice and feel free to share your favorite ways to meditate in the Facebook You-est You Community for Soul Seekers. S2 Ep 233How To Manifest & Raise Your Prosperity Quotient

Julie Reisler is a master transformational coach with over ten years of coaching experience and a master's degree in health & wellness coaching. Julie is the host and founder of the You-est You® Podcast, with over 225+ episodes and is the founder of the School of Sacredology, a big-hearted community for individuals looking to live from their heart and soul, and go from fear to faith. Julie has been featured in Forbes magazine, MindBodyGreen, The Chopra Center and Thrive Global. She is also a prominent teacher and guide on the popular app, Insight Timer and is on the faculty at Georgetown University in their coaching program. Julie lives in the Washington, DC area with her blended family of 3 kiddos and her favorite sweet fur ball, Luna. To learn more about Julie and how she might support you on your You-est You journey, go to juliereisler.com. Happy February dearest soul family! This solo episode was recorded with lots of heart and the intention of helping you raise what I'm calling your Prosperity Quotient, or PQ. Really this is about overcoming feelings of lack, struggles with worthiness and not good enough, as it relates to your money, finances and overall feeling of prosperity. If you prefer a visual version, do check my episode out on YouTube, where all episodes are posted. Some of the takeaways from this episode are: The root of all lack consciousness and fear or discomfort with prosperity comes from a lack of worthiness. I'm here to remind you that you are worthy for no other reason then you are a human being. You do not need to prove your worthiness nor is it something that fluctuates. What you appreciate, appreciates. By focusing on where and how you do feel prosperous will help call forth more prosperity. Not sure this is true? Try doing this for a week and see what happens. Like you, money is energy. How you feel about this energy has everything to do with the money and prosperity you are attracting or repelling. The great news is that all of this can be changed with focused intention and attention. If you struggle with underarning, self-debting or discomfort charging for your services, I highly recommend the books Money A Love Story, by Kate Northrup, Overcoming Underearning and Sacred Success, by Barbara Stanny (coming soon on this podcast) and It's Not Your Money, by Tosha Silver. If i can support you at all on your prosperity journey, please reach out anytime. It is my intention to be part of the cosmic shift around prosperity, worthiness and helping us all to claim our natural abundance. S2 Ep 232How to Never Abandon Yourself Again with Lucy Shahjahan

Lucy Shahjahan is a love coach who works with women globally. Growing up in Sydney, Australia, Lucy has always had a taste for adventure; from working on a pearling boat after she left school, to tending bars through her late teens, a ski instructor in Whistler, to a 'real job' as a creative in the Advertising industry, not to mention her time as a radio host. Lucy has always been a people person. Her smile brightens up any room and her laugh is infectious. At the age of 31 she moved to New York City to follow her dream of acting. She worked in film and theater, loving every second of being on stage, but after performing her one woman show off-Broadway playing Hillary Clinton, she knew there was a deeper calling inside her. That's when she took the plunge and started her business teaching women how to be their own soulmate so they can attract love and live their best life. Lucy's personal journey inspired her to create her signature program that helps women heal at a soul level from low self-worth, trauma, abandonment, disbelief and major lack of trust so that they can attract their soulmate and thrive in every area of their life. After years of continued success with her signature online program, Lucy realized the time was right to pen her first book, I'm Done, to share her process with millions of women around the world. Let Go of Self-Doubt This was really a conversation about following your heart, no matter how far it takes you, and listening to those dark nights of your soul as a real wake up call to live in the light. Lucy shared her concept of being your You-est You as everything just falling into place when we stay true to who we are. After stripping back the layers and conditioning is where you'll find what's yours and what's not, and who you are and who you're not. It's easy to get caught in a web of who you think you should be. We talked about how to stay clear of that false alluring web that will never provide what you're really looking for. Don't just sit on your gifts and magic Lucy shares how she left her perfect life and job, on paper, quit her job, left Australia and packed up to go to NYC. After her massive wake up call at 31, she realized it was time to get out of her own way and start living on the edge of her heart. She got 'all in with her dream' and was clear what she was asking the Universe. Here's the question that changed everything: What Do You Desire? She asked herself, "What do you really want?" Then she listened and stopped outsourcing other's opinions. She finally said "I'm Done" and had the willingness to step into her bigness. Being done is a powerful gift. So, dear listener, What do you really want? What are you done with so that you can make space for something greater? Do share with me and our soul family in the You-est You Facebook Community for Soul Seekers. We'd love to hold the space for you to step into your fullest self- expression. I think it's time we all start doing this, and just know we've all got your back (and front). Enjoying the show? S2 Ep 231Amanda Walker on How to Feel Amazing Naked

Amanda Walker is a health and life coach who helps women push passed misguided beliefs to feel amazing naked. She is the creator of the Feel Amazing Naked Program and the Feel Amazing Naked Podcast. Amanda has now guided thousands of women to conquer the fear and confusion that was once keeping them stuck. Amanda uses a "WHOLE"istic, no B.S., approach to coaching and blends strategy, skill, and mindset to help clients unearth the root causes of their struggles with food, body, and mind to help them create the life they crave. We talked a lot about what it means to feel amazing in your skin -- both on the inside and out. This is not about getting to a certain size or weight, it's about feeling whole, connected and in harmony with your body, mind and soul. Some of my favorite take-aways from this episode: Amanda shared that you don't have to have a business degree to be successful in your business, you just need a heart. This is especially powerful for those of you considering the entrepreneurial route. Don't look at your behaviors and actions as the root of your results, look at your thoughts. Your thoughts create your feelings, which create your actions. Feelings are short term -- be mindful not to let them dictate or overtake where you want to go. Find joy in your growth process as this 'now moment' is really what's most important and what will drive you to the future you desire. S2 Ep 225How to Get on TV and Add Value with Christina Daves

Hey there, beautiful soul family. As you know, I strive to bring you amazing guests with tales of beating the odds and whose will and mindset are a testament to great faith. Seeing others walk before us helps to motivate us in the areas where we struggle, which is why I love having a wide variety of inspirational guests. Today we are talking about marketing. How to go from the little fish in a big pond to the big whopper. Meet Christina Daves Christina Daves is a repeatedly successful entrepreneur, award-winning inventor, best-selling author, and infectiously energetic speaker. She has sought out opportunities in event planning, land development, retail, and fashion and pursued them with the work ethic that makes her an inspiration. As many business owners know, starting out small leaves little money for marketing. With a fledgling business and a running clock, Christina developed the PR skills in under one year to launch herself and her company into national recognition. Through her two best selling books, The DIY Guide to FREE Publicity and PR For Anyone, and her constant speaking appearances, Christina aids owners and employees to take the small steps required to see success and seize it. A Change of Mindset Christina shared an inspiring story of hope and endurance when she missed her opportunity to be on Shark Tank that would have catapulted her sales and turned her business into a success. And while she did battle with despair for 5 months, her belief in herself and her product helped change her mindset. She was convinced that everything would work itself out. How to Get on TV Christina may have missed the chance to be on Shark Tank, but she wasn't finished yet. She had a thirst to crack the code to marketing and learn all she could about PR. She figured out the secret of how to get TV appearances, how to get your name in the media, and expand your platform. Learning that secret helped her win $20,000 in the inventor competition on the Steve Harvey show. Today she is a huge success, and it started with a missed opportunity on Shark Tank. 5 Tips for How to Improve Your Public Relations [15.20] 1) You have to be "famous" in your industry [16:30] 2) Start small. Look to print media first, and then it's easier to pitch television. [20:05] 3) Start local. Find your local personality anchors and reporters to reach out to and cultivate a relationship with. [21:27] 4) Know how the media operates and do your homework on local segments that are relevant to your work. Always see how you can add value to the audience. [21:54] 5) Research what is being covered and where you might be able to share your gifts and be of service and value to their show. Final Thoughts Christina reminds us that you have to be willing to do the work and invest time in yourself and your business, but you can never be afraid to ask. When pitching yourself and your business, you have to get comfortable pitching to different media outlets. And while you may sometimes hear rejections, nobody wants to see you fail. Adopt that mindset, and it will all work out! S2 Ep 224Dr. Jane Tornatore on Why Self Acceptance is Good for Your Brain

Dr. Jane Tornatore has dedicated her career to helping people be kinder to themselves. Her style incorporates compassion, curiosity, deep listening, and heartfelt optimism, along with powerful shots of playfulness. She draws from her extensive professional training and wide-ranging life experiences to help people release old patterns and unnecessary stress. A therapist, author, and speaker based in Seattle, local and national audiences rave about her engaging workshops on perfectionism, self-compassion, improving brain health, reducing stress, and the Caregiver Rollercoaster. Dr. Tornatore received a Master's degree at the University of Illinois and a PhD at the University of Minnesota. She has authored over 20 articles and recently published a book—Everything is Perfect, Just Not ME! A Roadmap for Self-Acceptance. You can find out more about Dr. Jane at www.everydaylove.me We talked a lot about overcoming perfectionism, self judgment, overcoming fears and how this can improve your health. All of Dr. Jane's tools and strategies are practical and easy to apply. Some of the key take-aways are: Love yourself now, you don't have to wait. Stress shuts down the brain while self care is an act of self love A few ways to stop the stress in your body and mind is by changing the words you use. Dr. Jane calls this the 'Ban These Words' exercise, where you ban these words: should, must, have to, need and 'gotta'. Instead replace them with "it's a good idea", "it would be helpful" or if it's something you are actually interested and excited about, you might say "I'd like to" or "I want to". You want to use words that will motivate you not cause more stress. A quick way to determine whether you should worry about something or not is using the Circle of Power and Victim tool, adapted from Steven Covey's Circle of Influence. The inner circle stands for 'power', which is everything you have power and control over such as your thoughts, behaviors and actions. Anything in the outer circle is considered the Victim realm, which has to do with anything you don't have control over like other's actions, circumstances, the weather, etc. By focusing on your own power and what you can do in the present moment, which might be to breathe and pause, you reclaim a sense of empowerment and take the brain out of fight or flight. A take on a gratitude practice is to wake up and for a good 30 seconds feel the gratitude, don't just list it out. Do this before bed in reviewing the day and you can help your brain sort memories in a new positive filing system, of sorts. You can't be judgmental and curious at the same time. Any time you want to change your state or get out of judgment, go into curiosity and ask questions that help you to seek new ideas and solutions. S2 Ep 227Li Hayes on How to Speak on the Mainstage

Hello, hello! I am so excited you are here. I love sharing my special guests with you. Today's guest speaks on a topic many of you have asked about. So let me ask you, do you have dreams of speaking on stage? Of taking your message to a larger audience and making more of an impact.? Or maybe you wish you simply didn't have so much anxiety with public speaking. If so, you will really enjoy this guest. Li Hayes gives us deep insight into speaking on the main stage and tips on what does and doesn't work with public speaking. Meet Li Hayes After years working as an Event Integration Agent - both representing professional keynote speakers and hiring speakers for events planners, Li Hayes endeavored to get more speakers to the Mainstage. Li launched Path to the Mainstage, a speaker development program, to provide the behind-the-scenes secrets that speakers need to know about the business of speaking. Path to the Mainstage gives emerging speakers and speakers who use the stage as a way to accelerate their businesses the skills they need to build successful speaking businesses. How to Be Powerful in Public Speaking Li shares a message for those who have an idea worth spreading. She speaks about ways to be powerful in public speaking, whether you are in person or on a virtual platform. No matter where you are speaking, you always want your message to add value and uplift the world somehow. Tips for Public Speaking Here's what doesn't work with public speaking: [8:41] 1. Timing is a fundamental skill. Don't speak for less than or longer than the allotted time. Practice, so you know your timing well. [10:15] 2. Connect with the audience and get a sense beforehand of their language and objectives. [12:07] 3. Profanity - don't do it! Swearing usually only works with a small and distinct audience. Otherwise, it can be taken as offensive. [14:03] 4. Speak to the camera and not off into the distance. Connect visually; otherwise, you'll seem disinterested Try these things instead: [15:42] 1. Be creative and learn to do something different. [19:17] 2. Have a community and tribe that can hold you accountable and tell you how you can improve. You can only see the world through your eyes. Get others' feedback to learn. [23:52] 3. Find a niche and become the 'go-to' for that community. Final Thoughts Take opportunities, even if you think they are small. Know the language of your audience, listen to the words and phrases they use, and use those to better connect with them while on stage. Ask yourself what is it that is special about you that you can share with the audience. S2 Ep 228Here's How To Come Home To Yourself with Elena Lipson

Welcome beautiful shining soul. I am so happy you are here to see what the You-est® You Podcast has lined up for you. You know, so often when people think about self-care, their thoughts instantly go to luxurious bubble baths with candles and maybe a cup of tea or a glass of wine, or maybe monthly massages. Today's fabulous guest, Elena Lipson, tells us self-care runs much deeper than that. It's a process we all need to get on board with. You won't want to miss her tips for self-care. Meet Elena Co-author of '{An} Unsinkable Soul: From Broken to Brilliant With Self-Care' and upcoming book release: 'The Six False Agreements Women Make: Rewrite Old Stories, Learn to Trust Your Intuition and Stop Living Life Based on Other People's Limitations'. Elena Lipson has been published in: Tiny Buddha Huffington Post Medium Business Rocks Magazine Business Heroine Magazine And was a featured Self-Care Expert on the Mel Robbins TV Show in Spring of 2020. Elena is a podcast host, transformational speaker, and founder of the top-rated podcast: Divine Self-Care Meditations & Musings. Self-Care is Health Care After a decade of hustle, burnout, and developing an autoimmune disease, Elena dedicated herself to helping others press the pause button, tame their inner gremlins, and finally take care of themselves FIRST. Elena tells us that finding your way to self-care is like coming H.O.M.E. to yourself. This is when your Health is at stake, when you are Overwhelmed, when Motherhood weighs you down and when you are stressed out by Entrepreneurship, you need self-care the most. Creating Self-Care Habits We talked about the power of self-care and how it will be a new habit for most people to create. Elena shared a fantastic routine, which she calls the Magic Morning Habit, which can help you to set an empowering intention and change the course of your entire day. Tips for Self-Care Morning Routine [17:50] 1. Clear the cobwebs: write out anything that is in your mind or on your heart. No editing, just write. This technique was adapted from Julia Cameron's book, The Artist's Way [21:16] 2. Turn on your inner pilot light: move, dance or do yoga [22:34] 3. Ask for guidance: put your hand on your heart and ask for guidance, say thank you in advance for having a beautiful day, or use prayer. Final Thoughts The most important takeaway from Elena's podcast might be that you don't have to be sick to find self-care. She warns us not to get caught up in the self-betrayal of avoiding confrontation or living the life we think others want for you. Take time for the self-care morning routine because it is transformational. The intentional presence you are creating for yourself starts each day with the self-care you deserve. It may be simple, but showing up each day for yourself isn't easy, but remember you are absolutely worth it. S2 Ep 230The 3 C's You Need Now with Dr. Cynthia Whitaker

Dr. Whitaker is the Interim CEO at Greater Nashua Mental Health. She is dually licensed as both a psychologist and a master licensed alcohol and drug counselor. She is a strong advocate of social justice and is passionate about increasing access to mental health services for all. She is fluent in American Sign Language and continues to be involved in advocating for and providing training about mental health services for individuals who are Deaf or hard-of-hearing, as well as teaching and training about various other topics related to behavioral health. She is known for her engaging and motivating style of leading and training that inspires individuals and groups to connect with their strengths and reach their potential. Dr. Whitaker shared about the power of feeling to heal and how trying to carry on and cover up your emotions only leads to further breakdowns. She shared about her own breakdown and personal story of being in a car crash and later suffering from PTSD. It was a challenge for her to admit she needed help as she always felt that the healer shouldn't need healing. This experience ended up being one of the most important learnings and built a new kind of empathy she had never experienced. Dr. Whitaker explains ways to feel the emotions we often want to numb out. For many, addiction (be it alcohol, food, shopping, sex or even social media) is really a way to try and self-sooth and cover up feelings that are uncomfortable and overwhelming. Here are some tips to feel to heal: Acknowledge how you're feeling, without judgment, and get out of hiding Feelings are normal - ALL of them. You can't appreciate positive feelings without negative feelings. Feelings are indicators, not dictators. Pay attention to your feelings but don't let them dictate what you do. Feel into how you want to respond and use your intuition and inner wisdom. Meditation and stillness will give you the ability to better choose your response. Above all, show yourself compassion and suspend judgment about yourself, your feelings and others. The 3 C's of Staying Sane: Community (not isolating) Compassion (suspending judgment) Carry on (keep calm, carry on) In other words, don't cower, or cover but keep going through the feelings and get to the core of who you are. Ask yourself, "What can I do today" and then look at the gap between who you are and who you want to be. Look at who I need to be to be the person I desire. What are my strengths and how can I tap into them today? Remember, you are not alone and we're all in this together. No one has to suffer in silence or secrecy. Speak up, find a trusted person and be compassionate to yourself. S2 Ep 226How to Step Into Your Power with Love with Michelle Baxo

Hello, hello, beautiful soul! I am so grateful to have you here and appreciate connecting with you. I love bringing you enlightening guest speakers that share insightful strategies and stories of success. Today I have for you Michelle Baxo. She tells us how to make the amazing transformation from powerless to powerful. Meet Michelle Michelle Baxo helps high-achieving women go from powerless to powerful in every aspect of life, love, and business. Michelle's passion for helping people create the life of their dreams started from her own personal journey from successful but single to empowered and in love. Michelle has been featured in Forbes, and her advice is found in CHCH, Cosmopolitan, and INSIDER. Michelle has also been interviewed as an expert in countless summits and her articles have been published in Dreams Recycled and Thrive Global. Her new book Power Love Dating is now available. Michelle, located in Toronto, Canada, is available to speak on topics such as empowerment, confidence, self-love & acceptance, dating & relationships, communication, mindset, and online business. Creating a Success Plan When living your best life and moving from a place of mediocrity to stepping into your power, you have to access both a healthy passion and love in your life. To assess where you are on the feeling your power spectrum, Michelle recommends starting with these questions: Where do you lose power? [13:06] Ask yourself and get in conversations with others about this question. You'll want to look at where you're having a loss of power and dig in deeper about why or how you got there. Who will I be for myself and why? [15:46] Create your three why's to explore who you are committing to be: 1. Why is this important for me? 2. What is essential for that person? 3. Why is this important for the world? Where do I feel lost, stuck or stale? [19:44] This is often a great question to get a loss of power in your life and start making meaningful changes. Creating a Success Plan for Love As for accessing love, it's about telling ourselves how important connection and love is. This means being vulnerable and keeping our heart open, versus putting up the wall of protection. It's about reconnecting to yourself and giving time and space to listen to your heart. Most importantly, stop being so hard on yourself and get aligned with what matters to you. You can do this by visualizing yourself feeling supported by the Universe or filled with a sense of grace and peace. Final Thoughts If you were to die tomorrow, what would you regret not doing? Take committed action, balancing it with inner work. Life is not a pretty box, and we are always navigating to recreate the situation we dream of. To step into your power with love, it takes great honesty within yourself. Look deep and acknowledge that there is strength in being vulnerable while instilling boundaries. S2 Ep 229Dr. Betty Sue O'Brian on Mapping Your Health Through Your Eye

Dr. Betty Sue received her naturopath degree from the School of Natural Medicine in Boulder, CO before she retired as an instructor at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Upon her retirement, she soon began practicing Naturopathic Medicine in Biloxi, MS, where she shared an office with a Physical Therapist; later, she opened a health food store. Even though these venues offered many outlets for teaching self care, she wanted to educate more people to be self actualized and fully in charge of their own health outcomes; it is this desire that lead her to becoming a Diplomat Instructor for the International Iridology Practitioners' Association. Looking for an online format for her classes, led her to a joint partnership with Dr. Wanda Seitz, of Myrtle Beach, NC in SINH – the Southern Institute of Natural Health. She is elated to bring the therapies and practice of naturopathy to her students: current, past and present. Dr. Betty Sue has five books: Six Weeks to a Healthy Lifestyle Going Green…The Smoothie Way Causations: Using Iridology to Clarify Sclerology Iridology: The Core Curriculum * Healthy Substitutions For Foods We Love To Eat We discussed so much about the wisdom that's embedded in our body - in our eyes, teeth, tongue, ears and everywhere really. It means getting a bit more still, taking time to tune in and incorporating some of these amazing tips to live with more energy, health and wellbeing. First off, iridology (for those of you who weren't sure) is the mapping of the iris to better understand your health. The eyes are the window to the brain and your health. Some of Dr. Betty Sue's healthy lifestyle suggestions (her top 10 is found in her book, Six Weeks To a Healthy Lifestyle) Stimulate your skin and lymph system every day. Brush your skin with a brush and then rub it with coconut or avocado oil before you bathe. Bounce for at least 60 seconds every day to stimulate your lymph system Scrape your tongue every day, ideally with a metal tongue scraper (getting mine now) :) Take quiet time every day, pause and breathe in your belly Put your feet above your head every day for at least 5 minutes. This helps with your drainage and circulation. S2 Ep 223How to Overcome Self-Doubt

Happy New Year, dearest soul family! As you know, the You-est You Podcast has incredible guests-thought leaders, authors, spiritual entrepreneurs, and more. When people began asking me to do shows of my own, sharing my thoughts and stories, I realized I was somewhat reluctant. I sat with my feelings of intimidation and unworthiness and chose to move forward anyway. What better way to kick off the new year and my new show commitment by speaking around the space of feeling like an imposter and how to overcome self-doubt. Meet Julie Julie Reisler is kicking off 2021 with a powerful podcast on How to Overcome Self-Doubt. Julie Reisler is a master transformational coach with over ten years of coaching experience and has a master's degree in health & wellness coaching. She is the host and founder of the You-est You® Podcast, with over 225+ episodes, and is the founder of the School of Sacredology, a big-hearted community for individuals looking to live from their heart and soul and go from fear to faith. Julie has been featured in Forbes magazine, MindBodyGreen, The Chopra Center, and Thrive Global. She is also a prominent teacher and guide on the popular app Insight Timer and is on the faculty at Georgetown University in their coaching program. Julie lives in the Washington, DC area with her blended family of 3 kiddos and her favorite sweet furball, Luna. To learn more about Julie and how she might support you on your You-est You journey, go to juliereisler.com. Know Your Worth If you've walked the self-doubt journey before, you know it isn't always about imposter syndrome. Sometimes it comes down to standing firm in your worthiness. It's knowing that you are not the number in your bank account. Or that the number of likes on your social media posts doesn't define you. You are worthy just because. Feeling the Fear In Conversations with God, Neale Donald Walsch tells us all thoughts come from either love or fear. When you feel those feelings of imposter syndrome or self-doubt creep up, it's essential to stop and breathe. To become conscious and realize these thoughts are coming from a place of fear and uncertainty. You have to dial into those feelings to help shift them to that vibration of love and compassion for yourself. Allowing yourself to fall into spiritual alignment and be your truest self. How to Overcome Self-Doubt This solo episode was recorded with lots of heart and intention. We're talking about how to overcome self-doubt, imposter syndrome, a lack of worthiness, and anything else that might creep in to keep you from living as your You-est You. I also share one of the most important lessons in my life (hint, if you watch this episode on YouTube, you'll learn what it is) and why this is my word for 2021. Tune in to Learn More About These Key Takeaways: [3:19] You can't always believe the crap in your head, letting it take up space rent-free in your mind. Learn how to tune in and connect with those beliefs and feelings of not being good enough. See if there is any truth at all to what you are telling yourself. [9:27] All thoughts are driven by love or fear. It really is just that simple. Keeping a pulse on your thoughts and tuning in to how they make you feel can move you from a place of fear to compassion, abundance, and love. [13:40] How to tune into your Inner Wisdom. Slowing down, creating stillness, and tuning in is what will bring you peace in 2021. I share more ways for just "being" this year to promote feelings of love and connectedness. Make sure to listen to the entire episode of How to Overcome Self-Doubt for more about living a year that is incredibly powerful, magical, and driven by the You-est You. Sacred Connection As always, this community is a sacred, safe place built on love and acceptance. It was created to help you evolve and expand into your highest self. Please share your wisdom, comments, thoughts, and I would love to hear what your word is for 2021. I love hearing from you and learning how you are being your truest, you-est you. S2 Ep 222A Breathing Technique to Change Your Life with Dr. Amy Novotny

Dr. Amy Novotny founded the PABR Institute™ with the mission to provide pain, stress and anxiety relief to those who seek a naturalistic form of treatment when other treatment methods have fallen short. Her unique approach comes from her experience treating in a variety of settings and with a wide range of patient populations over the past 10 years. Her background in orthopedics, sports, geriatrics, balance disorders, nerve injuries, and most recently, chronic pain; and influences from coursework at the Postural Restoration Institute gave her the foundation to develop this treatment method to address a wide variety of painful and restrictive conditions. She has helped countless clients avoid orthopedic surgeries including joint replacements, disc herniation repairs, lumbar fusions, rotator cuff repairs, and ACL reconstructions. These methods have even helped people overcome sleep deprivation, anxiety attacks and generalized stress. She co-authored a #1 Best-Selling book Don't Quit: Stories of Persistence, Courage and Faith, which shares her journey on how and why she developed the PABR Method™. You can find out more about Amy at pabrInstitute.com. Amy has figured out an amazing new breathing technique that can alleviate stress, pain and angst. She shares her techniques, which are very easy to follow. Here are the steps to changing your breathing - the good news being that you have everything you need and this is a free resource. The four step breathing process is to breathe in your nose, pause, breathe out your mouth like you're blowing out of a straw and pause for 3 seconds. As you exhale, you want to bring your sternum down (not up) and belly out (not in). For many this will be a whole new way to breathe. You can use this form of breathing to help your nervous system and to give your body greater ability to take in oxygen. Amy is happy to hear from anyone looking to learn more and shared graciously that she's happy to send you a free video on overcoming pain and anxiety using this breathing technique. S2 Ep 221Meet the Founder of Soupergirl, Sara Polon

Sara Polon graduated from University of Pennsylvania where she studied history. Her career path then took many meandering twists and turns including working at an Internet start up, leading tours through the Middle East, and several years as a stand-up comic in New York. In 2008, after reading Michael Pollan's book, The Omnivore's Dilemma, she founded Soupergirl along with her mom, Marilyn Polon (aka Soupermom /Chief Anxiety Officer). Sourcing seasonally from local farmers, the company makes a wide variety of healthy, kosher, all-natural, vegan soups that can be found all over the east coast. You can find Soupergirl products at the company's two DC area retail locations, Whole Foods stores from Kentucky through Virginia, Giant, Lidl, Wegmans, Peapod and Costco Warehouse from Massachusetts down to Washington, DC. The company also ships soup nationwide via their Souper Meals program. Soupergirl has received national press, and has been featured in such publications as the Washington Post, Food and Wine, O Magazine, and more. The soup duo was most recently seen on ABC's Shark Tank, NBC's Today Show, and CBS' The Dish. You can find out more and order Soupergirl's delicious soups at soupergirl.com. This was such a fun and inspiring conversation. Sara shares how her company started in 2008 with her mom carrying bags and pounds of onions and tomatoes and all kinds of vegetables up and down the stairs to the small kitchen they rented at a restaurant across the street. When I asked what was the key ingredient that has helped her stay the course, she said it was gratitude. I couldn't agree more, as gratitude has been shown to rewire our brain for the positive. I've tried many of Soupergirl soups, and all I can say is that it is obvious that love, intention and attention are stirred into each batch. I can't recommend her soup enough. S2 Ep 219Becoming an Eventual Millionaire with Jaime Masters

As CEO of Eventual Millionaire, a business mentoring company, Jaime Masters specializes in creating automated systems and doubling her client's revenue. She's the author of Eventual Millionaire and a top business coach who is known for getting rock solid results. Over the past 10 years, she has taught six and seven figure CEOs, entrepreneurs and small business owners how to optimize every area of their business. Jaime is the producer and host of her own online show and has conducted over 500 interviews with millionaires and billionaires. She has been featured in Yahoo online, Inc.com, SUCCESS Magazine, Entrepreneur, Women's Health Magazine, and Business Insider. Jaime loves business and all things geeky. She's a momma of two amazing kiddos that are already making money in business as stilt walkers and contortionists (yes, that's super weird!). We talked all about her own life catalyst moments and what key aspects she's noticed all 7 and 8 figure business owners have in common. What a fun and fascinating conversation with Jaime. We spoke at great length about the traits of millionaires (she has interviewed over 500 of them!) and similar threads. Here are some of the interesting commonalities Jaime found out in her research: There's an attitude of 'push forward no matter what' and comfortability being out of their comfort zone. You've got to be fully committed to what you're doing. Commitment + action = money. There's a 'good at getting over obstacles' mentality that is crucial. Find out that one thing on your 'to do' list you're scared of, and do that. Listen to your heart and stay vision focused. She has noticed in working with many millionaires that women tend to get caught more in their head and fear than her male clients, but that in the end both sexes lean into their heart and trust their gut. A great tip and word of wisdom was discussing how important it is to feel prosperous. This feeling of prosperity has a lot to do with feeling worthy of receiving more money. A great way to practice and play with this concept is to pretend $1000 is just like $10. Imagine spending $1000 in the same way you would $10. Practice visualizing and feeling how it is to be prosperous. S2 Ep 218Moonology and Astrology Made Easy with Yasmin Boland

Yasmin Boland is an award-winning astrologer and the best-selling author of books including Moonology and Astrology Made Easy. She is read by millions of people each month, via her columns online and in magazines and newspapers around the world. Her Moonology Diaries 2019 and 2020 both sold out all over the world and her work has been translated into more than 10 languages. You can read her horoscopes on yasminboland.com or find her on Facebook at www.facebook.com/YasminBoland Ok, my astrological moon loving friends, you are going to love this rich conversation. Yasmin explained the power of the moon cycles, what mercury retrograde is really about and what you will want to know for astrology 101 basics. Let's break it down, shall we? Astrology 101: * To learn what your natal chart is, google 'find my natal chart' and add your time and date of birth. You'll then get a list of your various signs; Zodiac sign (1 of 12), moon sign, rising sign and where the planets were during your birth. What's most important is to find out your sun, moon and rising sign. For example, my sun (or Zodiac sign) is Saggitarius, which is a fire sign. My moon sign is Aries, another fire sign (I know, I can be intense). My rising sign is in Aquarius which is the air element, and as Yasmin explains, your rising sign is how you come across. You can easily look up these three signs and what they entail. * Here's a quick rundown of all the planets and what they mean: Mercury (your mind and communication), Venus (love and abundance), Mars (drives your communication), Jupiter (luck and fortune), Saturn (hard work and fear), Uranus (change), Neptune (dreams, illusions, poetry), and Pluto (passion and power). * Your natal chart will tell you where the planets were at the moment of your birth and can offer quite a bit of deeper reflection and understanding about your traits, soul journey and characteristics. Moonology: * Women have been connected to the moon for thousands of years, and have a natural harmonic concordance with the moon energy. In this time of divine feminine re-emergence, it is that much more powerful to spend time manifesting with the moon. * The new moon is a time to set your intentions and the full moon is a time to see what has manifested. * It's very healing to bathe yourself in moonlight, just as you would sunlight. * Manifest using the moon by surrendering your intention at the new moon to the Divine. Release what's not serving and forgive all transgressions (especially at the full moon). This will help you to call in what you desire and tap into the ancient wisdom of the moon energy. Mercury Retrograde: * Mercury retrograde gets a bad rap. It is actually a great time to revisit, revise, revamp, repair and renew your plans and life during Mercury Retrograde. Let me know your sun, moon and rising sign, and what you learned about yourself! :) Connect with Yasmin Boland Website: yasminboland.com Facebook facebook.com/yasminboland Twitter: @yasminboland Instagram: @planetyasminboland Enjoying the show? S2 Ep 217Steve Nobel on How To Know If You're a Starseed

Steve Ahnael Nobel is the author of 5 non-fiction books, the most recent is a free Ebook entitled 'Starseeds'. He was a director of a not for profit spiritual organisation called Alternatives (based in St. James's Church, Piccadilly, London W1) for 13 years, leaving on the Winter Solstice of 2012. Subsequently, he began his own healing and awakening work. He has created a healing system called Soul Matrix Healing for Starseeds. He has created a library of free resources including meditations and transmission to help Starseeds which are freely available on his website and YouTube channel. These meditations and transmissions are played all over the world and so far, the platform has over 104K subscribers. He regularly runs events in the UK, Europe and the US. Want to know if you're a starseed? Steve explains that starseeds are not native to this dimension on earth and come from various dimensions and systems from other star races. Typical starseed statements growing up are having the feeling that 'you don't belong here or in this family'. You probably have the feeling of wanting to breakaway, and are drawn to things like saving the planet, raising consciousness on this planet, shifting from darkness to more light. Still wondering if this might be you? Steve breaks it down to explain that starseeds are all about shedding the conditioning that has plagued our society for hundreds of years, including moving from just left-brain logic based only ways of doing life to connecting and trusting more with intuition and creativity. This is a time to connect to our heart. Remember that everything is vibration so as you shift your consciousness (starseed or not), you are shifting your vibration. Steve also shared how our planet is moving from a 3D realm to 4D and eventually 5D. To break this down (since I needed an overview as well), here's the deal: 3D is what we've been in for the last two thousand years and it's all about fear, separation consciousness (us vs. them), shame, anger, guilt and frustration. We can see this construct being challenged and crumbling now as we start to look at the real racial and cultural injustice embedded in our country and world. 4D is all about the mastery of I am responsible for my reality. This is a pivotal point in change and is based on courage. It's all about the "I am co-creating my reality, I can shift from the inside out." Our planet moved into a 4th Dimensional realm in 2012 when we went from the age of Pisces to the age of Aquarius. 5D is about an open connection to higher self and love consciousness with reality. My favorite quote from this interview came at the end. I asked Steve if he had a 'heart flare' to share and he said "Do not feed the fear, focus on inspiration, being of service, love, gratitude and what you can do to step towards that." My sacred friend, this is our mandate right now. May we all feed the field with our own heart energy. S2 Ep 216Get Over 'I Got It' with Elayne Fluker

Meet Elayne Fluker, who is on a mission to remind unapologetically ambitious women that having it all doesn't mean doing it all alone, and that support is the key to success and fulfillment! Elayne is a powerful coach, speaker, host of a podcast and new TV show, and soon to be author of her upcoming book - "Get Over 'I Got It'". As a coach, she specializes in supporting Black women who have been successful in their careers, yet they're ready to transition into their next chapter through entrepreneurship -- a move that can be challenging without support. My work is at the intersection of personal development and personal branding. She works together to discover your zone of genius, overcome limiting beliefs, adopt an entrepreneurial mindset, increase your visibility, set you and your business up for success, and create work that you love! Elyane is so passionate about helping women to lean into support and have that be the new normal. Here are some of my most favorite and powerful take-aways from our conversation: Having it all doesn't mean doing it all! It's time to rewire ourselves and realize that we're not meant to do everything ourselves (yes, talking to you, dear passionate achieving woman!) Use this new mantra instead, to overcome feeling shame with needing support, "Support IS Sexy!" (love that) For those of you entrepreneurs, you'll probably agree that this path is the greatest journey of personal development and opportunity to learn how to say yes to support. Whether you own a business, run a family or work for someone else, you were never meant to do everything on our own. Stress and feeling the weight of the world on your shoulders can lead to health issues, getting support is one of the best ways to allow your body to heal and feel more freedom. As an inspirational speaker, she helps ambitious women get over what I call "I Got It" Syndrome, make empowered tasks and embrace support as your superpower. She's spoken at the UN, LinkedIn, Columbia, NYU, Spelman, Howard University, the Women's President's Organization, the Essence Festival and ColorComm, and she has led more than 200 workshops and panels in the U.S., Europe, Africa and online. I've also appeared as a featured guest on the "Today" show, "Nightline," "Extra," "Inside Edition," CNN, VH1, BET, Sirius XM and many more. (elayneflukerspeaks.com) As host of her podcast, "Support is Sexy" — which has has more than 750,000 downloads and reaches listeners in 130 countries — she's personally interviewed more than 500 diverse women entrepreneurs around the world and shared their inspiring stories. S2 Ep 215Your Life and Your Values with MaryBeth Hyland

MaryBeth Hyland believes that we all share the desire to know and return to our authentic selves - at work, home and within. On a quest to become a bonafide cowgirl and retreat owner, she works with individuals, couples, and organizations to create a deeper sense of purpose through value-based lifestyles and workplace cultures. Learn more at sparkvisionnow.com MaryBeth shares incredible wisdom about how to tap into your values to guide and transform your life. Here are some of the great take-aways from our conversation. To find out your core values, spend a full day with a notebook where you jot down everything that makes you feel exhilarated, joyful, high energy, alive and grateful and conversely everything that makes you feel drained and negative. Distill your experiences and find the one word to describe what you observe. For example, if you especially loved spending time drawing with your daughter, a value might be creativity. You're not drained because you're doing too much, you're drained because you're doing too little of what energizes you. Tap into what gives you energy and do more of that. We also discussed healing, shamanism and finding your power animal to help guide you. As MaryBeth explains, Shamanism is really the applied wisdom of nature and spirit guides for greater healing. A great tree healing practice is to go into nature, feel the presence of a tree that you connect with. In your own thoughts, you'll introduce yourself to the tree, such as I'm Julie Diane Reisler, the daughter of Helene and Ron Reisler, and then ask 'May I be in ceremony with you?'. After feeling a sense of connection from the tree, you will place your hands on the trunk, feet on the roots (if you can) and third eye (space between your brows) on the trunk. Give a color to the energy you want to release, then visualize the tree filling you up with clear light fluid from your feet all the way up to your head. Imagine that clear energy mixing with the color you chose and picture it rushing down out through your feet to the tree, allowing the tree to recycle your negative energy back to the earth. This has been a powerful practice for MaryBeth and her clients. Through her books and her presentations, Marci's message has touched the hearts and rekindled the spirits of millions of people throughout the world. She is dedicated to helping people live more empowered and joy-filled lives. This is truly one of my favorite interviews I've ever done. I've been a fan of Marci Shimoff for over a decade. Like millions of people did, I discovered her through her appearance in the 500-million+ copy selling documentary, The Secret. I loved Marci's story and energy, and certainly admired her inner happiness. Learning how to be happy for no reason is probably one of the most important lessons of our time, especially with so much uncertainty and unrest. Marci was very clear that this is not about being pollyanna or engaging in spiritual bypass. Being happy for no reason means finding and experiencing an inner state of peace and wellbeing that doesn't depend on circumstances. Who wouldn't want that?? I know I do. Research has shown that we all have a happiness set point. The breakdown of our happiness potentiality is based on: 50% genetics, 10% circumstances and 40% habits, thoughts and behaviors. You can't change your genetics or circumstances, but you absolutely can change your habits. Marci did extensive research to find that there are 21 main Happiness habits. She breaks them down into seven foundational categories and describes each for you to further investigate and look at within yourself. The seven main Happiness habits to build your inner home for happiness are: Foundation: taking responsibility for your life. This is about being the victor, not the victim and getting out of blame, shame and complaining. Pillar one: your mind (this is all about your thoughts and was my biggest area for growth) Pillar two: your heart (being open-hearted, full of gratitude, forgiving, loving, kind) Pillar three: your body (biochemistry of happiness; oxytocin, dopamine, etc) Pillar four: your soul (connected to greater energy of the Universe and feeling plugged in) Roof: purpose and passion, feeling inspired Garden: who you are you surrounded by and making sure to weed out toxic people (the weeds in your garden) and connect with supportive people (the roses in your garden) Marci explained that you want to look at where you are the weakest and start there. She asked me which was my most challenging area and without a doubt I shared that it was my mind and many thoughts that are often not as kind or helpful, and frankly happiness-depleting. Marci shared some fantastic tools (all below) on how to change your thoughts and use your body to create greater happiness. Diving deeper into happiness and the mind: * We on average have over 60,000 thoughts per day, most of which are not kind. 80% in fact are negative because of something called the 'negative bias'. * Don't blame yourself for your negative thoughts (this will just perpetuate the negative feedback loop) * Tools to change your mind and wire for greater happiness are to be on the lookout for good experiences (make a game of this, especially with your kids), savor the good for at least 20 seconds and make sure you have a 3:1 ratio. For every negative thought, you need to find 3 positive ones. Happiness and the body: * Don't overlook sleep - it is a huge predictor of happiness! Serotonin feeds melatonin and vice versa. Sleep is crucial for happiness. * Get to sleep before midnight, in fact the most important time to sleep is between 10 - 12 midnight. This is your most restorative sleep time! * Try going to bed by 10 pm for three nights and notice your happiness quotient * Sunning: go out
