Meet Yanik Silver Yanik Silver has been called a Cosmic Catalyst, a Maverick Mischief-maker, and a Galactic Goofball. Here are some of the highlights from our talk that I think will benefit you, whether you are an entrepreneur or hoping to tap more deeply into your soul's gifts. Questions Create Your Answers One of the biggest takeaways from our talk is the importance of asking questions that are going to expand your way of thinking and overall consciousness. Definitely check out Yanik's Cosmic Journal for a ton of powerful and enlightening questions. The following questions catalyzed Yanik to shift gears and reevaluate his life and authentic happiness. After starting a successful business yet feeling a little lost, he asked himself, "Am I happy?" and "Would I be happy in 10 years doing what I'm doing now?" He dared to truly listen to his inner guidance, which clearly said, 'no.' He decided to change his career path, and while it took time to take off, he chose to listen to his soul. Your Cosmic Alarm Clock You might ask, what is this cosmic alarm clock? Think of it as your wake-up call from your soul. It starts as a whisper, and if you don't pay attention, it will get louder. Because we have free will, hitting the snooze button and staying asleep to what's calling you is always an option. One thing Yanik (and I) have noticed is that it's almost never a good time to do what your soul wants you to do. The question for you will be whether to follow what's waking you up. I shared about my cosmic alarm clock waking me up at 3:33 am about 14 years ago. It had me make a drastic change and u-turn in my life. It was not easy, yet it was one of the most critical and soul-awakening experiences in my life. Yanik experienced this too by realizing that he was not doing work that truly moved his soul. Your Self-worth Is Not Your Networth It's important to remember, especially those of you who are entrepreneurs, that your self-worth has nothing to do with your networth. It can be tempting to go for the financial rewards and the money, but one thing to keep in mind is that your first intention and focus should be on that thing that aligns your head, heart, and higher self. The money will always follow when you are following your greater soul's guidance. Following Cosmic Sign Posts Pay attention and choose to be a light that helps others to shine their light. Like Yanik said, bloom where you are planted and keep your inner eye open to the cosmic signposts and evidence that you are indeed always on the right path for your soul to evolve. Well, my friend, you're gonna feel like you were hanging with us over lunch and were eavesdropping. This was that kind of conversation that went deep but was funny, intense, and got real-deal about food and sugar addiction and how to take care of yourself in a society that eats up toxic diet culture. So, sit back, relax and definitely get your fave snack and tea as you sit in on our talk. Food Is a Relationship Game Contrary to what the diet culture will have you believe, there is nothing wrong with you if you struggle with overeating and food. So many of us are taught at an early age that food equals love. I shared my story of my Dad taking me to Dunkin' Donuts before my first day of nursery school to get three double chocolate donuts. I still remember them like it was yesterday. Molly shared about her massive struggles with bingeing, hiding food, and being the youngest one at Weight Watchers. Here's what's important to note, though, food is a relationship game and about nourishment on a mind, body, and soul level. This can be such a tough one to digest when food has acted like your BFF. This is why Molly wrote 'Breaking Up With Sugar', because it felt like such a breakup experience, not to mention detox. If you find yourself struggling with eating out of control or being unable to stop eating sugar, we get you! It was helpful hearing that most cravings last about 20 minutes or so. A good practice when you're tempted by the pan of brownies or box of cookies in your kitchen; leave the room. Call a friend who will support you. Don't let this obsession continue to steal your energy, time, and joy. The purpose is to be free and love yourself and others. Addiction Is Really About Control Addiction is about needing control, and recovery is about trust. To have recovery, you must shift what you believe. This means not just addressing the physical component but also the emotional and spiritual. I loved what Molly said, 'We row, the Universe steers.' This game of recovery from addiction, especially sugar and food addiction, requires a three-pronged approach of shifting your beliefs and relationship with your mind, body, and spiritual connection. Genuine connection, especially with others on the road to recovery, is the opposite of addiction and can make an enormous difference in your own healing. Molly Carmel suggests you look at cravings as sirens (trust me, I know all about cravings for chocolate anything) and that they're calling you to get introspective and see what you need. The Greatest Act of Self Love Forgiveness, by far, is the greatest act of self-love. You start by looking at those you need to forgive, including yourself, and make a commitment to work on adding forgiveness to your daily practice. A simple way to start is to wish the person you want to forgive well and ask that they be free from suffering and at peace. This comes from the meta meditation and is an excellent place to begin. The Way The Law of Attraction Actually Works Everything is energy, including your thoughts, beliefs, stories, inner dialogue, and emotions Emotions range in energy frequency and vibrations in measured Hz. On the lower end are fear, despair, and depression which is closer to 30 - 50 Hz, whereas love, peace, and joy are up near 500+Hz. You are either choosing to come from love or fear. Choose powerfully to come from love, and don't let fear steal your greatest asset, your connection to the divinity within you. The Universe is constantly expanding through you and is for you and your greatest good. There is no other shoe ready to drop. Attracting More of What You Love I also discussed the Law of Circulation, which in short, is what you put out there will come back to you. Want more abundance and prosperity? Be generous to others and give more of your time, energy, and money away (of course not to your detriment), and watch what happens. When in doubt, come from love. Ask yourself what you'd love to experience, be, feel, and do. Focus on the energy of love in all you're doing, and prepare for the Universe to shower you with loving results. How To Truly Love Yourself How to truly love yourself is rarely taught to any of us, so we dove into the importance and necessity of self-love. Matt Kahn talked about the need to put yourself first and be radically loving towards yourself. That it's not just healing for your mind but also for your nervous system and body. One way to tap into greater self-love is to let yourself be nourished by the truth. This means saying no when you mean it, turning down an invitation, offer, date or opportunity when it doesn't feel true for you. For many of us highly sensitive and empathic souls, aligning with your truth is often practice as it requires being comfortable with others being uncomfortable with your choices. Especially when it's not what they want from you. People pleasing, which is so very common for those who are high empaths, is really then a fabrication of your truth. You're not being truthful when you people please and allow for someone else's desires, needs, and wishes to be met over yours. Start by checking in with yourself to feel, sense, and see what really is true for you, and then work on your courage to follow that truth. You Can't Mess Up Your Destiny Isn't it so comforting to realize that we can't mess up our destiny? This doesn't mean you should try and not take action. It just means that even when you feel you're off course or on the wrong path, you're not. You can't be. The Universe doesn't work like that. All is here for our highest good. Your life purpose is not what you do, but it's who you become while doing it. Part of realizing you're always right where you're meant to be is to become detached from your outcome. When in doubt, take the loving path. Take the heart-centered path which will always lead you to your deepest truth. Manifestation and The Law of Attraction I get so many questions and inquiries about how the Law of Attraction works. First, we need to look at how the Universe works. The Universe is made up of energy and works in simple ways. Energy is either expanding or stagnant. You're either expanding, or you're contracting. Neither is better or worse, as sometimes having life go on pause and contracting can be an essential part of your greater expansion. When you really tap into these energies, you can get out of stagnation and into expansion, which is manifestation you can do in these simple ways: Set an intention and add it to your cart, so to speak. Place your order in the cosmic store. Keep expanding energy and allow it to move through your mind and body Surrender your wants and desires to focus on what the Universe wants for you As you match your energy to the expansion you desire while letting go of how what you want manifests or shows up, you allow the Universe to deliver what's in your highest good. This is not about hacking the Universe to make things work for you. There are no shortcuts. It's about aligning with your higher truth and making choices that come from your higher self, truth, and faith. You might ask yourself, do I really think that, or have I been conditioned to think this way? The real question then is, are you willing to do this kind of inner self-work. Dr. Amanda reminds us that this deep, profound work is only for those who are willing. How to Create a Squeaky Clean Mindset Dr. Amanda Hanson talked about her super intentional mindset and how she starts every morning with a powerful affirmation. She says to herself, "Good morning, beautiful! I love you. You are a goddamn miracle." How might you implement an affirmation like this into your morning routine? Don't allow trash in your mindset, including your own thoughts. It's about creating intimacy within yourself, which of course, will always translate into having more intimate relationships and compassion in your outer world as well. Final Thoughts When dealing with a midlife crisis for women, the first step is loving yourself at the core. That means recognizing who you are and accepting yourself for that version of yourself. A Greater Vision for Yourself If you're looking to uncover what you really desire and get out of other people's boxes and versions of you, this episode is a must-listen. I share all about how to create a vision that will mirror your next-level identity. Don't underestimate the power of having a clearly stated vision and pairing that with your imagination and ability to visualize. The Anatomy of a Great Vision Statement: This statement starts with 'I am so happy and grateful now that I....' Write this statement in the present tense using affirmative language. At the end, you can add something like 'And so it is.' 'This, or something better' or 'This or something even better still' to allow room for the Universe to surprise and delight you. Before you know it you will be manifesting your vision in real-time. Energy is Everything A reminder that all is energy. Adding energy to your vision statement, meaning-making sure you feel energized, excited, grateful, and connected to what you're envisioning, is crucial. You can create vision boards, mind movies, get in nature, or go to places representing your vision, like a house that looks like something you'd love to manifest. To manifest your greater vision, you'll want to make sure you're appreciating what you currently are experiencing while making room for something even greater by adding that energy of feeling like you have it now. Final Thoughts We all want to manifest our desires. Bring them into reality. But often people get confused or distracted by real-world experiences and lose sight of how to manifest them. Meditation vs. Intentions If you haven't yet read Lynne's two books: The Power of Eight and The Intention Experiment, get thee to Amazon and order both STAT. They will glow your mind! I asked Lynne about the difference between meditation and intentions because they can seem similar yet have profound different results. Much of Lynne's work is around the hidden and surprising superpower of using the power of intentions for a specific desired outcome for greater healing and manifestation. In sum, meditation increases your alpha and delta brain waves. Meditation is typically a practice where you use a mantra or sit in silence. On the other hand, intentions activate the parietal lobe, and all brain waves are lowered. The right frontal lobe, the area where worry and doubt are triggered, also goes down when sending an intention. The other amazing thing about sending intentions is that this altruistic act touches both the sender and receiver, and a greater ecstatic sense of oneness occurs. Lynne shares that with sending intentions, you must focus on a thought and outcome that is highly specific. A great way to get a specific intention is to use the 5 W's, used in journalistic writing; ask yourself 'Who, what, where, when, why?' Our Cells Communicate Through Frequencies The fantastic thing to note is that we all have the most powerful healer inside of us. We've been living by the scientific story we've been told, an older Newtonian vision where separate things generate ideas in time and space. Over the past 100+ years, we've seen through the newer science of Quantum Physics that we're all interconnected through energy systems, otherwise known as the zero-point field. Our thoughts are a transmitter, and our cells communicate through frequencies. Our brain is literally like a TV station transducing. We're either giving or receiving light all the time and have the ability to focus our thoughts in a way that can move and change matter. Quantum Healing We can send intentions back to heal something in our past, and we can also do this in the future. In part, it's understanding that time is not as we think and that it is not linear. You can send thoughts to make people better (including yourself), and Lynne McTaggart shows this scientifically in many of her books, but especially in The Intention Experiment and The Power of Eight. Understanding your own inner power can help you take back your power to heal from within. Meet Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor is back again on the You-est You podcast! Dr. Jill is a Harvard-trained and published neuroanatomist. In 1996 she experienced a severe hemorrhage in the left hemisphere of her brain, causing her to lose the ability to walk, talk, read, write, or recall any of her life. Her memoir, My Stroke of Insight, documenting her experience with stroke and eight-year recovery, spent 63 weeks on the New York Times non-fiction bestseller list and is still routinely the #1 book about stroke on Amazon. Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor is a dynamic teacher and public speaker who loves educating all age groups, academic levels, as well as corporations about the beauty of our human brain and its ability to recover from trauma. In 2008 she gave the first TED talk that ever went viral on the Internet, which now has well over 26 million views. Also, in 2008, Dr. Taylor was chosen as one of Time magazine's "100 Most Influential People in the World" and was the premiere guest on Oprah Winfrey's "Soul Series" webcast. This conversation will help you learn how to talk to the scientific four parts of your brain (this is an excellent refresh if you want to reconnect with your four characters) and start unifying all of your characters through a brain huddle. The Four Characters The brain has two hemispheres; the left and the right. The right hemisphere is all about being here, right now. It's about being experiential in the present moment. Character 4 is the thinking part of the brain that is about consciousness and that feeling of being grateful to be alive. Character 3 is the emotional part of the right brain that is creative, innovative, open, and will ask, 'What does that feel like?' The part that is feeling the stress of the world and needing the self-soothing. The left hemisphere is about the past, present and the future and is where we individuate and form a sense of being an individual. Character 2 is about your emotions in your left brain and Character 1 is the thinking part of the left brain that will look for structure and organization, and will ask 'how am I a functional human being in the world? How can I self-soothe and take the weight off my shoulders? Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor and I shared the names of our 4 Characters. Share in the You-est You Podcast Community on Facebook your names! Emotions are really just energy in motion; emotion is energy running on a circuit that can feel like rage, sadness, joy, elation, etc. Think of emotions as energy flowing through the cells in our brain and body. The Brain Huddle Think of your four characters who are on the same team and here to connect about your next play in life. The best way to build your muscle of leaning on a brain huddle is to start doing this 20x's day. In the Brain Huddle, BRAIN stands for Breath, Recognize, Appreciate, Inquire, Navigate. Here's a deeper dive into what this means: Breath - Be present in the moment with your breath Recognize- Notice who called the huddle (which character) Appreciate - Appreciate all four of your characters and realize they are all on the same team Inquire - Ask, who wants the mic? Ask your four characters who wants to talk, and allow for all four to share. You don't need to give your power away. Navigate - Use this process to navigate moment to moment How to Self-Soothe Yourself Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor reminds us to call in your four characters for a brain huddle and give yourself time, space, and grace to connect with which character wants to share. Often it is your sweet Character 2 who has emotions to share. Know this is the process that helps you self-soothe. That will bring you a sense of calm during the storm of the past several years. Allow yourself the space to feel all emotions and surround your character with love and compassion. My 3 favorite quotes from this episode: "We're feeling creatures who think! Not the other way around.", "Our past pain isn't here to be a lifestyle. It's here so you can learn, grow and move on." and "The quality of your dealing with your emotions will affect the quality of your thinking." And, a total mind-blown moment: "We've been alive when our mothers were in our grandmother's 5th week of gestation." Final Thoughts Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor enlightens us with the process of The Brain Huddle to teach us how to self-soothe during these tumultuous times. The Power of Compassion Today, Rosie Acosta speaks to high schools all over the US about how they have the autonomy, agency, and self-guidance to trust in themself and greater support. She teaches them about being Radically Loved and the practices that can change your life. The root of loving change is compassion for yourself and others. Radically Loved, Defined Radically Loved is about stepping into powerful innate energy. Using this energy as a conduit, you realize that it is an ever-flowing love, eternal, never-ending guidance of love. In a difficult moment, the most radical act of love is to be fully present with where you are, befriending yourself and your feelings. It's about giving yourself the nourishment you need and being kind to yourself. Notice this and reverse engineer what you love to make room to add more of this elsewhere. Speak in the name of love. Life is an ever-seeking energy expressed through us. Connect to the energy of love through your words and speaking. You can be, do or have anything. You just have to get in harmony with it. If you are in a state of self-loathing, look at it as a wiring problem and notice what you're noticing. You are not your thoughts Care more about helping people and be willing to do things afraid. Three Powerful Words to Change Your Subconscious We also discussed the three most powerful words you can say to yourself regarding changing the frequency of your thoughts and overcoming limiting beliefs and stories as they relate to your past and keeping you stuck. When you find yourself saying something like, "I've never been able to change that habit", for example, try adding these three words afterward: up until now. This will help give your subconscious a new command when up against those lingering negative beliefs. Additionally, in interviewing a wide range of spiritual leaders and influencers, I've been reminded that the goal is not to be anyone else's version of your You-est You. Yet, rather it's to get inspired and moved by another's story, journey, and lessons learned to tap more deeply into your own authenticity. Pedestals don't belong in this journey of deeper self-exploration and self-compassion. I'm hoping that as you tune in, what's being reflected back to you is what's possible when you follow your greater vision and dream. That's why I think of you (and myself) as brave dreamers. It takes tremendous courage to express and become your You-est You. I'm grateful you're here and would love to hear how you're taking other people off pedestals so that you can see your own divinity staring right back in your very eyes. Rather than compare, get inspired and know whatever you're hearing is an example of what's possible. Learning To Expand Your Visibility One of my biggest lessons over the 300 episodes I've recorded has been to let go of the fear of judgments, of what others might say about me, and about my own inner judgments, especially given so many episodes have treaded into territory that I might have shied away from in the past. I'm learning that the most important thing you can do is stay true and authentic to your own truth. To come from a place of unconditional compassion and heart and trust that it's safe to be more visible and share my thoughts. We naturally crave connection at a deep level, which is most potent when being vulnerable and willing to be seen. I share this with those who might struggle with visibility or fear of being seen in a larger way. If you know in your heart you're up to big things and here to be a change-maker, it's imperative to start shifting the way you see your own visibility. Ways to do that are through community, finding a great mentor, coach, or friend who is on a similar path and can hold you accountable to your bigger dream. That's the first secret on how to become an influencer. Jacob shared his NDE when he was three years old and how it left him awake to the potentiality of humanity and breadth and depth of the Divine. Jacob was diagnosed with Pertussis at the age of three. Without realizing the severity of such a diagnosis, his parents let him go to the park to play. On a jungle gym ladder, he started to cough and couldn't breathe. Without enough oxygen, he remembers leaving his body and seeing that his body wasn't fully working. In this incredibly enigmatic experience, he saw his spirit guides on both sides of him and shared that there are no words to describe them. He then saw an endless sea of thousands of angels. They had a uniform look, and he felt enormous unconditional love from them. In Jacob Cooper's words, "It felt like a grand reunion where he could feel all is well and all is divine love". With their help, he survived his near-death experience, truly giving him life after breath. A Secret Worth Sharing Jacob Cooper spent 20 years not telling a soul about his experience, both out of sacred reverence for what happened and knowing it would raise eyebrows and create uncomfortable questioning. His near-death experience left him with an enormous gift still with him; the remembrance that heaven is right here and that love is the ultimate collateral. He has helped many build trust with the light that lives inside us and teaches us how to connect to this eternal knowing. The key to expanding your sense of the divine is through raising your consciousness. Jacob Cooper shares some of the ways to raise consciousness: To expand and transform, you have to be vulnerable to lose yourself. Meditation and quieting the mind are crucial. It's in the still of the mind that you can access truth and get in touch with your infinite nature. You've got to match your light with the light on the other side; which is an all-loving unconditional reverence and love Jacob reminds us not to be defined by our story but to define it ourselves. This is the gift of free will and being human. And, by tuning into the GPS of your soul, you will never be misled. Final Thoughts Jacob Cooper's life after breath experience gave him the eternal knowledge that we can easily align ourselves with heaven, even here on earth. That it doesn't take a near-death experience to connect and feel the joy that is heaven or our authentic infinite nature. Their goal was to create transformational healing for all who desired it. The Powerful World of Transformational Healing This model of transformational healing looks at the body as a whole system and includes the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual body. Can I get a hallelujah for that? Much of what we forget to address is the crucial aspect of our beliefs and habits. Both women talked about being told that their cases wouldn't get better. If they believed those mandates, they wouldn't have healed. It often becomes a choice whether to listen to a doctor or your internal voice. Much of what's important to understand is that the brain is highly involved with getting better and healing. Most of us are doing anything we can to feel better, especially if we've been sick for a while or struggled with a situation like Dr. Alex, who had endometriosis or horrible cramping. You need to be in a healing mode, which means new ways of thinking, beliefs, and habits. Our emotions and thoughts affect and communicate with our Central Nervous System (CNS). Because our brain is always looking to be most effiicent, it will stay on autopilot and remember your habit pattern of thought and emotion. Different thoughts can change the chemical messages in your brain. While it's important to change habits around sleeping, eating and movement, it's even more important to change your thought pattern. Changes in thoughts change your brain chemistry, which changes everything. Habits, Hormones, and Your Brain To be receptive to change habits and your brain, you need to be coming from your parasympathetic system (rest and digest) rather than your sympathetic nervous system (fight and flight). The sympathetic nervous system is what gets triggered when we're in a state of stress. It's also essential to understand the HPA axis; this is the connection and chain reaction from your Hypothalamus, Pituitary Gland, and Adrenals. Most don't realize that the hypothalamus, a region in the forebrain, controls hunger, thirst and determines what is in the bloodstream. It decides whether you'll sleep well, lose weight, have great skin, or whatever it is you believe. To make real change and have a transformation, you've got to understand how vital your habits and beliefs are. Some of the steps to making a change are getting clear on your goal, getting your body into a parasympathetic state, finding old beliefs that don't serve you and releasing and installing new ones—then making an empowered decision to change and making sure your actions align with who you are becoming. As Dr. Dan Siegel said, 'you've got to name it to tame it', or the phrase I live by is 'feel to heal'. Dare to Dream Satya's actual background and training were as a social worker who focused on early childhood development. She then became a yogi and Reiki Master, and she found a deeper connection to herself through meditation. After watching the Twin Towers go down on 9/11, she asked herself (and really dug deep to see the truth) what she wanted to do that would make a difference. In the pursuit of this greater purpose, Satya went on a month-long Reiki and spiritual retreat in the Bahamas. While there, she was given her spiritual name, Satya, which means truth in Sanskrit. She had a dream on her last night at the retreat that she had a jewelry business that focused on all the different truths in the world and gave back to children in need. She knew this was an idea dropped from the Divine, and within one week, she started Satya Jewelry. Satya shared that this fearlessness came from getting silent within herself, from soulful practices like yoga, meditation, and listening to her inner wisdom. Some of my favorite words of wisdom from this conversation were: "All the answers are inside of us, and you just need to get quiet to hear it." "When you have a pure intention, the doors will open." "You need to get out of your own way." The Universe and earth are screaming to have us help if it's bettering the world and collectively moving the needle." "Don't get stuck on what you want. Let the Universe deliver it to you." Trust Yourself and Set Intentions We talked about how important it is to trust yourself. Satya Scainetti so eloquently said, 'You must trust yourself. Don't give up. Tap into your power and truth. Then surrender and lean on the power of prayer, which is here for all of us." Being truthful to yourself is key and has been a big part of Satya's life as she lives into her spiritual name, which literally means truth. We talked about how settling could be a form of not being truthful. The problem is that settling gnaws at your core and doesn't go away. Satya chose to follow her greater desire to do something that mattered to her. Going for her dream felt spiritually guided, and Satya Scaientti sees her brand Satya Jewelry as truly being divinely inspired. By being deeply connected to her intention, Satya created a beautiful and meaningful jewelry company and started a foundation early on so that she could give back immediately to support building schools and shelter for children in India. Manifestation Made Easy Don't get stuck on what you want. Allow the Universe to deliver to you in a way that is often way better than what you could imagine. Satya Scainetti talked about easy steps to help you in the process of manifestation: Put everything you want into prayer Keep your eyes wide open and look for signs Trust -- in yourself and the greater good of the divine Get quiet and tap into your own inner knowing. Amy's Most Inspiring Mentors and Teachers The two people who have most inspired Amy's work and growth are Marie Forleo and Michael Hyatt. She joined Marie's mastermind years ago and saw how she did things on her terms, in her way, and kept showing up consistently. Amy lives by this work ethic and has been showing up with two episodes a week on her podcast, which now has over 1 million downloads each week. Michael Hyatt has been a mentor and now friend who has taught Amy efficiency and productivity and what he calls intentional margin, which takes time away to be your best. After realizing it doesn't work or produce better results, Amy let go of the constant hustle a few years ago. Today Amy Porterfield and her team of 20 employees work a 4 day work week, Monday - Thursday, taking Friday - Sunday off. How To Change Your Money Mindset Make sure you are not operating out of fear. Amy talked about how afraid she was at the beginning of her entrepreneurial career about money. She held on tightly to it and realized that this tense energy would not bring about more abundance. Instead, Amy adopted the phrase "There's more of that where this money comes from" and started to shift how she felt. The biggest change was when she decided to invest in her team, her business and let go of the fear. Your unique individuation of the divine comes with batteries included, meaning you were born with gifts, talents, skills, special abilities, and a spark that is as unique and rare as your thumbprint. Just like an acorn, if you plant, water, nourish and tend to it, over time, it will begin to grow into a beautiful oak tree. You are the same. You have that same limitless potentiality within you. With your own consciousness, love, compassion, and curiosity, you will be able to live a life full of freedom, peace, ease, grace, and abundance as your fullest self. And this means that while we're all connected by the same infinite intelligence, you also have your own unique human expression that is waiting to be tapped into, dusted off, and loved upon so it too can blossom and flourish. Here's How To See Your You-est You I looked closely at my own self-discovery work over the past twenty years through support like coaching, therapy, 12-steps, and many other healing modalities. I realized that no matter what the process, there are three key ingredients to being able to emerge and truly be your You-est You. This SEE method is all about helping you see, know, and become your You-est You. It will help open the doors to self-exploration. SAFE: First, before you can do any kind of excavation work, you must feel safe. Safety is crucial, especially if you've experienced struggles, trauma, and challenges around embracing and loving yourself. While I didn't go too far into cultivating safety, the main thing to know is that you deserve to have a quiet, loving, and sacred space to build your relationship with yourself. This could look like meditation, walking in nature, silence, and prayer. Feeling safe with yourself means calming your nervous system, allowing for your body to feel at ease, and creating a state of being that allows for receptivity, expansion, and miracles. EXPLORE: You might wake up one morning realizing that you are not living a life that feels fully aligned, or perhaps all the fun and enjoyable things you used to do went out the window during the pandemic when having kids or taking on that new job. Now that you've created a safe space within, it's time to explore what fully brings you energy and joy. You'll want to do a deep reflection of your past and times when you felt most lit up, most aligned, most connected to the Universe, most energized, joyful, and felt the most pleasure. Gather this data with curiosity and start to notice patterns. This self-exploration will unlock valuable information you wouldn't otherwise have noticed. I did this years ago and realized that I always loved the art of entertaining and educating others. Whether it was in a school musical, singing in my high school a cappella group, announcing the top stories and weekly news in my high school, or interviewing my favorite teachers. The Power of Mindset Carol Dweck wrote the fantastic book, Mindset, which addresses the core idea that we either fall into the category of having an open mindset, meaning willingness and belief you can change, or a fixed mindset, which is the erroneous belief that you are unable to change your thoughts, habits and life. John poses some questions to ask yourself when tapping into how to change your mindset. Where's my awareness of my thoughts and behaviors? Where does focus come in? John Assaraf encourages us to all be radically honest about our actions and beliefs. Ask yourself, Why am I doing this? What are my motivators, both external and internal? Be honest with yourself without judgment, blame, shame or justification. When we look from an open mindset and that of curiosity, we can see patterns and triggers that can empower us to change. This is how you can begin to let go of paradigms, beliefs, and ideas that are not right. John shared that "There are a lot of opportunities to be brilliantly dumb. It's in surrendering and learning that we're most brilliant." The One Question to Help You Achieve Your Goals and Desires John Assaraf talked about the synchronicity of meeting his mentor, Allen Brown, back in the '80s at a time when he was on the verge of going to jail or ending up dead. Allen asked him at the ripe age of 19 what his goals and dreams were. John wrote down what he envisioned at the time; retiring at 45, traveling first class, traveling the world, etc. Allen then shared the most powerful question that changed John's life and lens on what was possible. He asked: "Are you interested, or are you committed to achieving these goals?" John thought about it and wasn't sure what he meant. Allen explained that being committed, you'll do whatever it takes to upgrade your habits, beliefs, skills, and identity to match your destiny. First, you make the decision to do something. Then you figure out how. The how already exists, and you must get rid of any 'buts' that will thwart your commitment. You have to practice a little bit each day being the person you want to be. You need to ask yourself what habits are required to achieve your goals and do a little each day towards your goal. Over time, with pure commitment to pursue your desires no matter what, you will become the person achieving your goals. When you're committed, there are no excuses. That is the true power of mindset-moving from wishing to commitment. You Are Worthy of Your Goals The energy that created you is within you. This greater infinite intelligence is part of you. As John said, let's play from there. Remember that you are inherently worthy, and as you stay connected to this truth, you can truly live your highest potential and achieve your deepest desires and goals. Be on the relentless pursuit for radical honesty with yourself and ask yourself if you are interested or committed to your heart's desires. If you're committed, there's no way it can't happen. Through scientific experiments and powerful practices of mental focus, she shows how we can move objects, change the PH level of water, and do other incredible things using the power of focus, intention, and our mind. This conversation went deep into the greater understanding of consciousness and how, as human beings, we are more than we see and understand. And I mean, way more than we might believe or comprehend. As always, listen in with your heart and an open mind. Energy is Everything. Everything is Consciousness We started our conversation by talking about the fact that energy is everything. Caroline Cory shared her personal story of encountering a group of beings at age five and how she felt their unconditional love and began to communicate with them telepathically. They explained that she had to ask, meaning learn to focus and intend, to connect with what she learned later is her spirit family and lineage. In fact, Caroline believes we all have this ability to focus our mind and energy on connecting both with our higher self and our own spirit family energy. She has been teaching this for over 38 years and has many courses, books, and films that can help you better connect to your energy and consciousness. For those who might need a refresher, Caroline explains that consciousness is not in the brain. It is the base and substance that make up all that is. We are thus individuated expressions of this consciousness, and we always remain part of the whole. The goal is to know how to focus on both your individual self and the universal consciousness. Your Guidance System Explained We all have an inner guidance system, which is your emotions, to help you navigate life. Caroline likens it to emotions, either giving you a green or red light. If it doesn't feel good, it's time to stop. If you're experiencing something that doesn't feel aligned, notice and stop what you're doing. Remember that it is just a guidance system and is here to tell you what's happening. Rather than judging any emotion, see it as an alert or reminder that you're either dealing with a green or red light. It's Time To Wake Up In this episode, I turned the tables and flipped the script. Spiritual luminary and friend Steve Nobel interviewed me all about the topic of imposter syndrome, self-doubt, and working through that inner critic voice that says, "Who do you think you are?" I share quite vulnerably about my story of struggling with food addiction, people-pleasing, stuffing emotions down with food and denial, and learning how to truly tap into my higher self. This episode is about waking up to your divinity, your inner guidance, building self-trust, and the deep desires that are here to be expressed for a reason. Who Were You At Age 7? The clues to who you really are and what you truly desire can be found in what you imagined, dreamed of, and played with at a younger age. Sit back and ask yourself, what did you love to do when you were seven years old? What did you find fun, exciting, engaging, and energizing? Within the playfulness you experienced as a child lies the bread crumbs that can lead to who you really are. I shared about how I constantly imagined a camera crew around me as I was interviewing guests and talking about whatever I loved at the moment --- chocolate chip cookies, pudding pops, ballet, or drawing and trading Lisa Frank stickers. I could imagine people tuning in and finding joy from these conversations and interviews. Today I have a show where I interview leaders, experts, and spiritual luminaries who share wisdom and lessons learned. So much of what I'm doing feels aligned with my little girl's dreams. Look to see what you are doing now and if there are aspects of your younger self showing up. If not, see how you can start bringing in this part of you and honoring your deeper desires, joy, and calling. Who Do You Think You Are? In Tara Brach's new book, Trusting the Gold: Learning to Nurture Your Inner Light, she reminds us that inherently we are all made of the same goodness and that it's important to learn how to trust this inner light and goodness from within. This is the year to be kinder to yourself and speak to yourself with compassion, grace, and loving-kindness to quiet your inner critic and develop a sense of self-trust. Just as Tara shared about her practice of reminding herself to 'soften the edge', which helped her heal from an illness with ease, you also can speak to yourself in a way that can create calm, tenderness, and support. Maybe you start to call yourself something loving like 'sweetheart', 'darling' or 'beautiful'. Choose something that feels kind and comforting, and remember to see the goodness that always lives within you. The answer to this is not where you think it is. Look deeper, look inward, look into your heart. Your ego, bless your cute ego, is really trying to keep you safe, protected, and free from hurt. Your ego will put on the Imposter Syndrome costume, making you feel that you are unworthy or unable to do what it is you truly desire. My recommendation is not to ever condemn or shame yourself or your ego. Instead, notice when your ego says things like in the imposter syndrome family like "I'm a fraud" or "They're going to find out I'm not as good as they think", or something else that's mean and untrue and creates self-doubt. Observe this ego-fear-based dialogue and remember that this isn't the truth of you. The truth of you is a higher consciousness that is connected to the greater source of joy, love, full self-expression, and wisdom. Take Off The Mask of Imposter Syndrome The best way to take off your imposter syndrome mask is to raise your awareness. To do this, you've got to start adding daily time to be quiet. Any kind of meditation works, although I'm personally a fan of transcendental meditation because it requires no effort and is all about being in stillness, with your mantra, and allows for your brain to get into the healing alpha wave state. But however you find time to be silent and breathe, it will increase your awareness and consciousness. This slowing down and deeper inner connection will help you to notice when your inner critic starts to say things that make you feel like a fraud, doubtful, unworthy or lets self-doubt creep in. Strengthen Your Sense of Self Practices to help you strengthen your sense of self, intuition, and energy: Strengthen your vibration by listening to music you love, being in nature, reading inspirational works, and connecting to others in the community Focus on gratitude and being unconditionally loving to yourself and others. Maximize your life flow by creating an environment that supports your best and regulates your nervous system. Ways to do this could be attuning to your energy and making sure you're getting enough sleep, excellent nutrition, movement, breathwork, and staying aligned mind, heart, and spirit. Create rituals to support your mornings and evenings. An easy one is to light a candle at the end of each day, signifying a change in the energy, slowing down, and coming home to yourself. Plan ahead and be intentional with your time. A great morning starts the night before! Final Thoughts Let your heart flare! There's no better time to start anything than right now. Don't delay, and don't judge your past. Rather than being a seeker, be a finder. Ask yourself powerful questions, get curious, and create a practice to support you. Meet Neale Donald Walsch Neale Donald Walsch has written 39 books on contemporary spirituality and its practical application in everyday life. With an early interest in religion and a deeply felt connection to spirituality, Neale spent the majority of his early adult years thriving professionally yet searching for greater meaning in life. He has said that this yearning led to a series of deeply personal spiritual encounters, which he experienced as direct exchanges with the Divine. A series of books titled Conversations with God emerged from those moments through inspired writing, and they have been translated into 37 languages. It's a gift to share this interview, and I hope it brings you increased peace, spiritual connection, compassion, and awareness of who you really are. If you missed his previous episode, be sure to catch The God Solution. It Took 35 Years To Become An Overnight Success It's easy to see a luminary like Neale Donald Walsch and think that his bestselling book, Conversations with God, was just an overnight success. In truth, Neale shared with us that his skill in writing and excellent communication skills relied on 35 years of experience as a radio host, journalist, actor, and performer. The book itself, an unplanned and extraordinary experience communicating with God, was not something he had planned for, yet the ability to write succinctly and with ease came from years of experience. It's important to look at your own skills, talents, and experiences and trust that the divine has plans to put them to use in a way that will serve a higher good, as it did with Neale. Interestingly, right before the book sold millions of copies, Neale Donald Walsch's life was certainly not a bestseller, as it was falling apart. He had been laid off, had major marriage issues, and suffered health problems. Soon after being laid off, he was hit by an older driver who didn't see him and broke his neck. Neale ended up living on the sidewalk for an entire year (you read that right), and it wasn't until a miracle part-time job at a radio station that he started to regain some semblance of a life with shelter, food, and a little bit of money. It was during this time when he lived in a small in-laws suite that he took out his yellow legal pad and began to vent his anger to God one early morning at 4 am. In pure anger and frustration, he asked questions like "Why me?" and What do you want from me? What does it take to make life work?" Then something incredible happened -- Neale heard a voice that jokingly said, "Do you really want the answers?" From then on, he took dictation and wrote down what he was hearing, and started a paper dialogue. Inspired Writing Neale shared that he doesn't view his writing or the book as channeled since no other entity or collective consciousness took over him or his writing. Instead, he sees this as inspired writing. He kept a record of what he was hearing and being told. In fact, early on in the Conversations with God book, God shares that it is constantly communicating with ALL of us. It's up to us to listen. The real question is, who is listening? We often hear or sense this communication through an epiphany, our intuition, or what you might call a psychic hit. The God Solution Research shows the 8 out of 10 people believe in a Higher Power and that we have 4300 organized religions on the planet. Neale addresses the problem in his most recent and last book, The God Solution, that while we teach to act like God, we have it upside down in believing that God is judgmental, angry, condemning, and punishing. All of these are human characteristics and not true to God. We misunderstand what it means to be Godly and God-like. God's job is not to fix things; rather God's intention is to infuse the power of divinity within everyone. We need to change how we are using and connecting to this Higher Power and redefine God. Neale suggests redefining God as Pure Love; Pure Love means a need, want, expectation, and demanding absolutely nothing in return. This is where we must change our way of acting and being to emulate

Today, I am sharing some powerful insights about managing your energy and manifesting your best life after reading two of my new favorite books. If you identify as an empath or highly sensitive person, which means someone who is very in tune with others' emotions and even feeling their emotions as yours, and/or as highly sensitive, this episode is a must-listen for you. I redefine the way to look at your ego, how it's crucial to stop shaming, blaming, and being at war with yourself, and the importance of developing strong boundaries and your individual identity. Redefining Your Relationship To Your Ego This might surprise you, but most empaths are naturally and incredibly tuned in to a higher consciousness and sense of unity with others but often lack an individuated sense of self. In reading Anita Moorjani's amazing book, Sensitive Is the New Strong: The Power of Empaths in an Increasingly Harsh World; she gives the example of picturing volume knobs that you might find on an old fashioned radio. For empaths and highly sensitive persons (hi, I see you!), your knob will automatically be turned way up in the high consciousness and connectedness category, but what is probably turned way too low or even off is your ego knob. I shared how impactful this distinction is since so much of my own learning and experience with spiritual teachers has been to negate, override, let go of or shame your ego into existence. The truth is that when you look at the definition of ego, which is "a person's sense of self-esteem or self-importance," it takes on a different meaning than we are often taught. In fact, it's crucial to have a sense of self and importance to stand powerfully and firmly in your own ideals, boundaries, values, and experience of self. I've found that as an empath, it's easy to get caught up in someone else's emotions, so much so that in the past, I would have a hard time distinguishing myself from the other person. I sense you're in a similar boat, and for you, this idea of connecting more deeply to your individuated idea of self, your ego, is a must and shouldn't be shamed or feared. I'm not talking about those who are egocentric, egomaniacs, or narcissists. Which would mean the dial is turned all the way up on the ego and down on conscious connection. Anita shares that you want both dials turned up and with a strong sense of self to honor your boundaries and what works for your energy and life. Let me know what you think of this and how redefining your relationship with your ego is helping you to feel more loving to yourself and others. The Power of Boundaries for Empaths As an empath or highly sensitive person, it is imperative to know your boundaries and know how to effectively and kindly communicate when they've been crossed. This can be challenging for anyone who self-identifies as a people pleaser or is uncomfortable with conflict. I shared a few ways to use language that is direct yet still kind to express your boundary and feelings. For example, if a family member strongly suggests changing your plans to make an event yet it is not comfortable or ideal for you to attend, it's helpful to have ways of sharing your appreciation for their thoughtfulness and to kindly decline. You might say something like, 'I really appreciate your invite and wanting me there, but unfortunately, it doesn't work for me to attend.' I have seen how the power of coaching can help with finding ways to speak directly and with integrity as well as coming up with new questions you can ask yourself to know your own boundaries better. The more you practice setting and keeping boundaries, the easier it becomes, and just like strengthening a muscle, you will soon have a strong boundary muscle to lean on. Boundaries are also highly important for managing your energy and cultivating a healthy sense of self. Here are some of the beautiful take-aways from this enlightened conversation: All healing starts with compassion and listening to your heart. It's about letting your heart talk to other hearts. There are actually two of you: your mortal self (the ego) and your immortal self (your soul). You can focus on the material world and self (your ego), or you can focus on developing your inner world and identifying with your higher self (our soul). Know your soul self and reorient your life to come from your soul self. Miracles are a natural part of life. You are a miracle. Give yourself the gift of 10 minutes of staring in the mirror, gazing at the center of your eye until you can feel your being. Become what you see! Start where you are. Meet Steve Nobel Steve Ahnael Nobel is the author of 6 non-fiction books; the two most recent are a free Ebook entitled 'Starseeds.' And The Spiritual Entrepreneur. He was a director of a not-for-profit spiritual organization called Alternatives (based in St. James's Church, Piccadilly, London W1) for 13 years, leaving on the Winter Solstice of 2012. Subsequently, he began his own healing and awakening work. He has created a healing system called Soul Matrix Healing for Starseeds. He has created a library of free resources, including meditations and transmission to help Starseeds which are freely available on his website and YouTube channel. These meditations and transmissions are played all over the world, and so far, the platform has over 135K subscribers. We talked about Starseeds, Steve's newest book, The Spiritual Entrepreneur, and reviewed spiritual practices, the laws of manifestation, and how to get in your highest vibrational flow. Starseeds, as depicted in the book The Law of One, are wandering souls who are multidimensional and from other planetary systems. I'll share I've certainly experienced this a few times in my life. They don't like authority, often feel they don't fit in or belong, and have a strong ascension purpose, which is about moving from darkness to greater light on this planet. Starseeds are all about helping to shift this consciousness and changing the paradigm of growth through suffering to abundance, freedom, and ease. How To Manifest More Money Steve Nobel & I talked a lot about manifesting money and remembering that money is just energy. Energy can be moved by consciousness. Thus so can money. Steve shared a powerful affirmation to build your relationship with money: "I am 100% open, deserving, and willing and worthy of accumulating all forms of wealth in my life." He reminded us of the quote by Wayne Dyer that states the one grand lie in life --- that the only limits we have, are the ones we believe. It's time to expand all limits about money and what's possible. The Key Beliefs for Manifesting and Wealth The Universe is abundant The Universe wants me to prosper. All prosperity starts with belief. Money is an abstraction and is not real. Money is energy. Money has no intelligence of its own. Money will respond to the instructions you give it. Money needs to be valued. You must value money and it demands your attention. Money is vibration (and high vibration at that). If you are anxious about money, you are in a lower vibration. A place to look first is how to become more grounded and higher vibration about money. Oftentimes money issues are about a lack of balance of feminine and masculine energy. On paper, it all looked good. Real good. Inside though, Ashley was a full-on disaster. She saw this play out in her workaholism, destructive relationship with alcohol and men, all while ignoring her feelings and trying her best to keep up with the world. Ashley Bernardi did this until her life came tumbling down after experiencing another double trauma --- being diagnosed with a mysterious illness, soon realized was Lyme disease and postpartum depression. Her body felt like it was shutting down, between losing control of her bowels, losing too much weight, not digesting food, dizziness, feeling like she had the flu, and no control of her body. Ashley cried out to God for help and surrendered at a level she had never experienced before. Although bedridden, after this deep surrender, Ashley began tuning into her feelings and soon noticed that she felt better. Healing was happening because she was processing her feelings, not avoiding them. This powerful lesson is much of what inspired Ashley to write the book, Authentic Power: Give Yourself Permission To Feel to help others suffering from a lack of full permission to feel and express their emotions. How to Heal One of the key insights that Ashley Bernardi gleaned from this excruciating yet transformative experience was that there is no one-size-fits-all for healing. When you give yourself permission to feel, you tap into your own authentic power allowing for massive transformation. Her goal was to help others also going through challenging feelings to know it's ok to take off the mask of strength and feel whatever comes up. Meet Tsipi Raz Tsipi Raz, researcher, screenwriter, editor, director, and producer of the film "The 1 Field". Tsipi, a graduate of the Film School, is a veteran editor and scriptwriter of films and series shown on television and in festivals worldwide. For 30 years, she edited about 50 documentaries for IBA (Israel Broadcasting Authority). You can find the film at www.the1field.com Tsipi recently produced and created an incredible film, The 1 Field, that interviews luminaries such as Dr. Bruce Lipton, Gregg Braden, Lynne McTaggart, Lee Carroll, and many others. I've interviewed all of them on this show, and I highly recommend any and all of their interviews as well. She spent ten years working on this film with the intention to show how we are all connected and part of a greater unified field. You will be swept away by the beautiful experiments and results shown in the film, making a case for a greater unity consciousness amongst humanity. Her NDE (Near Death Experience) Tsipi Raz shares that she has always been a realist until her life changed in her early 30's after experiencing an intense NDE. She had fallen asleep next to her young daughter only to find herself floating at the top of the ceiling while watching her sleeping body on the bed. She could feel herself drift to the sky and then a beautiful light that made her feel like she was going home. Somehow she reconnected back to her body and forgot about the experience until reminded a few days later and a week after this encounter when her brother suddenly passed without a health issue or illness. I have loved recording these solo episodes over the past year. I hope they add value, meaning, and impact in your life and remind you that you are definitely not alone in overcoming inner struggles and challenges on the journey of being your You-est You. If you're listening to this episode, my hunch is that you might be curious to learn more about how to find your purpose. In this solo episode, I chose to tap into faith and divine guidance by picking three You-est You declaration cards. I hope this conversation resonates at the deepest level. The Power of Joy The first card I pulled was Joy. Joy is incredibly undervalued. The vibration and energy of joy is similar to that of love, compassion, and peace. When you tap into joy, you connect to your spirit, that part of you that is in the flow and has the most positive energy connection. It's also easy to manifest when you are vibrating at joy. While most adults put it low on the priority list, joy is the elixir to feeling better and more aligned to the divine. For manifestation, joy needs to be prioritized; it needs to be put back at the top of your list. I know this is an area I'm working on, and I invite you to see how you can make more time for joy and happiness this holiday season and in the new year. If you are at a loss for what brings you joy, look to see what made you feel alive, lit up, and empowered when you were little, or think of a most recent situation when you lost all sense of time because you were so engaged in what you were doing, seeing or experiencing. These can lead us to the clues of what brings us joy. Another cousin to joy is gratitude. If you're really struggling with what you're finding joyful, look to see what you appreciate and naturally feel grateful for. Eventually, hanging in the land of gratitude will bring you to the land of joy. The Why of Your Purpose The second card I pulled was Purpose, and to me, the best way to find your purpose, which doesn't have to be one thing, especially for you multi-passionate and purposeful lightworkers and entrepreneurs, is to go to your WHY. Ask yourself first about what you feel passionate about and what you would get up in the middle of the night and do for free. That's a great indication of where your purpose will be. Then ask yourself, why is this topic or idea so important to you. Reflect, journal, and keep asking yourself "why," and follow up with "is there anything else" until there is nothing left to write. You can do this for all areas of your life; career, family, health, spiritual, and relationships. Ask yourself the deeper life coach questions like, "What feels important to me right now with my health, time with my family, my career, connecting to spirit, self-care and making time for friends, and why?" I'd love to hear what you come up with and would invite you to take note of your why and create why purpose statements that you can review daily. You might write them out, record yourself saying them and listen to them each day, or even create cards or a vision board with your purpose statements. You are allowed and encouraged to have more than one purpose. For example, your purpose might be to be a loving partner who communicates openly, directly, and kindly with your spouse, partner, or significant other. You might also decide that communication of all kinds is your purpose in your career, which could look like speaking up about inequality of pay for women, or sexism, or whatever topic you feel on fire about. There is no right or wrong way to do this; the only incorrect way is not to do it at all. The Abundance Equation The third card I chose was Abundance. I love these three cards because when you put them in this order; Joy, Purpose, and Abundance, you get an equation that I find to be spot on. The abundance manifestation equation is: Joy + Purpose = Abundance. What was serendipitous to me was that I wrote about this in my book, Get a Ph.D. in YOU, specifically in chapter 11, Purpose and Passion, and talked about this very equation. Meet Natalie Ledwell Dame Natalie Ledwell is a bestselling author, host of the podcast, Not Over, Just Different, co-host of the cable TV show WAKE UP, and founder of Mind Movies, the hugely successful and revolutionary online Personal Development company that has reached over 5.8 million people worldwide. She got the idea to create Mind Movies in 2008 after watching The Secret and realized that you do NOT need to know the HOW in the manifestation process in setting big goals and manifesting your desires. She and her husband paid for a high-end mastermind with some of the leading digital marketing experts and threw themselves into the world of internet marketing, sales, and other programs. Natalie attributes surrounding herself with the best people in the world as one of the most critical factors of their success. Become the Person You Envision in Your Greatest Future I loved this quote from our conversation; Natalie said she "had to change who she's being to be the person who fits in a new capacity and is friends with some of the most well-known leaders in the personal growth industry." My takeaway is that when it comes to manifesting your desires you must step into the leader you need to be to match the emerging version of yourself. This is exactly what Natalie did, and today she has become friends and works with leaders like Tony Robbins, Brian Tracey, Bob Proctor, John Assaraf, and Dr. Joe Dispenza. Spiritual Practices + Daily Habits I always love to ask successful entrepreneurs like Natalie (whom I'd refer to also as a lightworker) how they stay spiritually aligned and connected to their purpose and heart. Natalie Ledwell shared that she has a few things she does every day to stay spiritually connected. She meditates every day, either to Dr. Joe Dispenza's meditations or in complete silence. She makes tea (magic hour tea, to be exact) and sips it on the balcony every morning, slowing down and tapping into her senses, noticing what she sees, hears, feels, and experiences in real-time. This morning moment of pausing allows Natalie to create space for communing with the divine. She always exercises, usually a walk with an audiobook or something inspirational to listen to, and ends with moments of gratitude. I loved her reminder about gratitude and that whether you journal about it, think about it or verbalize it, it's not about the action and is all about the emotion. Most importantly, Natalie reminds us that you want to feel gratitude. Manifestation Ingredients The goal is to leverage the universal entity of power greater than ourselves to manifest our deepest desires. The two most important ingredients in doing this are expectation and belief. Our emotions are what we emit to the universe. Thus maintaining high-frequency emotions like joy, gratitude, and pride, are essential for manifesting your desires. Natalie Ledwell has lived the Law of Attraction in her own life going from growing up in the countryside in Australia as one of eight children, experiencing quite a bit of lack, to running fitness facilities to eventually creating a powerful product that has touched the lives of 6 million people (and growing). She went from struggling to being in the flow. It's crucial to visualize your future, being grateful and expecting and knowing it's already here. What I loved most was that poignant reminder that this is for all of us. Final Thoughts Natalie Ledwell is well versed in the power of manifestation. It plays an enormous role in her business, Mind Movies, and in her everyday life. Manifesting your desires is something she wants for each and every one of us. Meet Lee Carroll Since 1989, Lee Carroll has brought the loving messages of Kryon to the world. Lee Carroll is the author of fourteen Kryon books and co-author of The Indigo Children, An Indigo Celebration, and The Indigo Children Ten Years Later, for a total of 17 books. These Indigo books introduced the world to the term Indigo Children in 2000, spawning many follow-up books by various authors, a movie, a documentary, and lots of interest worldwide regarding our changing kids. The Indigo books have sold almost half a million copies worldwide in 24 languages. During a trip to McCaysville, Georgia, at Delphi Metaphysical University in 2012, Lee was surprised with an honorary doctorate of Science, Transpersonal Psychology; Metaphysics. The award indicated: For his extraordinary contributions of love, wisdom, and spiritual understanding. Lee was most recently in the film, The 1 Field, all about consciousness and the power of the quantum field. Lee has been named one of the 100 most spiritually influential living people by the prestigious WATKINS; Mind, Body, Spirit magazine for four consecutive years. I have been listening to and resonating with Lee Carroll's work connecting with and channeling Kryon for the last few years. Since day one, I found something about the teachings and messages from Lee and Kryon that are deeply moving and feel full of truth, heart, and super high consciousness. We discussed the Law of Attraction, raising your consciousness and how, what looks like a world mess was actually predicted by the Mayans thousands of years ago and is more positive than you might think. I hope you love this conversation as much as I did! Meeting Kryon-An Uncommon Path Lee Carroll is an engineer with a very linear and scientific mind. The last thing he wanted to do was channel information. About 30 or so years ago, Lee was told by a channeler that there was a magnetic master named Kryon trying to connect with him. He brushed it aside until a year or so later, a different medium said the same thing. Lee decided to give it a shot and sat in a chair by himself to give Kryon a chance to make contact. What ensued was beyond what he expected --- he was filled with such love, an intensity of love he had never felt before. He wept and decided to keep tuning in. I love what Lee said about this encounter, "Spirit gives us the chance to look as Spirit knows who we are." At the time, he couldn't understand what was happening but knew it was real. Moving forward with this gift of connection to Kryon posed an existential question for Lee, as he faced a fear of moving into a life that could leave him without his friends, wife, work, etc. In the face of this fear, he heard Spirit say to him, "Do you really want to know me?" It was in that question that Lee decided to follow this deeply wise high consciousness. In saying yes, he has seen more miracles than he ever imagined possible. We talked about the Law of Attraction, the power of energy, raising your consciousness, and the infinite power of Spirit. Spirit Is Bigger Than Anything Else So many of us were primed to think we need a conduit to connect to Spirit or that we have to do certain things to be worthy or deserving of this pure love. It's time to get out of the fear box. Spirit is bigger than anything else. Period. We were born to find our creator. We are multi-dimensional beings with consciousness potential to change matter. The question to ask yourself is, "What if all God wants for us is to find the love, paste it in ourselves and live it?" This concept resonated deeply with me, and I'd invite you, my friend, to see if it's possible to imagine a higher power that is truly all-loving, no strings attached. We're often so linear in how we think, whereas the love of Spirit flows in a non-linear way. It's All About Raising Your Consciousness Everything we're experiencing today is right on schedule. The Mayans predicted this global shift happening in 2012, thousands of years ago. We are in a literal wobble in the earth, and remember that we are connected energetically to all. Since 2012, there has been an explosion of consciousness. Lee shared that the Light is winning! We as a human species are starting to see things differently. You can see this with the Me Too movement moving the women's movement closer to equality or with a new Pope. He took over a living Pope, which has never happened, and he is exposing the horrendous trauma of priests abusing children. Even Covid, which put us all in our homes, made us stop and slow down. We had a war without a war because, like past wars, everything stopped. We talked about raising your consciousness, as this is the portal to shifting the evolution of humanity and our planet. The Secret of a Long Life and Your Powerful Soft Technology You're going to love this way of looking at longevity. The research we do have is substantial in supporting the power of our mind, body, and the way we live our lives as it affects our health, vitality, and sense of youth. Gregg Braden shared the secret to a long life is to constantly go through a healing process. There are two ways we typically look at this: 1) traditional linear aging: this is where you are born with a certain amount of life force, and every day you lose some of that life force. In this model, we're conditioned to believe that aging equals deterioration, but it doesn't have to be that way at all. 2) Cyclic aging: you are always moving forward in chronological time and still reversing the aging process through lifestyle choices and factors, such as the way you treat your body, your mindset, what you envision, and how you're managing stress because of epigenetics (which has found that 99% of your health and well-being is dependent on lifestyle factors, with only 1% due to actual genetics). Epigenetics is excellent news, and when you manage your health through excellent nutrition, clean water, supplements, breath, movement, and mind the way you think, you can upgrade your biology and DNA. Our neurons in our brain respond to the image we see of ourselves. These neurochemicals match our picture, which hopefully reminds you of the power you have to envision yourself healthy, fit, full of vitality, and well. It All Comes Down to This Question I love Gregg Braden's teachings and work because of the greater positive forces surrounding us and our ability to tap into our own consciousness, heart intelligence, and field of intelligence to create the results we desire. The central question to really ask yourself is this; "Do you love yourself enough to allow this love to work in your life, to give yourself what you need and what is most loving?" In the end, it all comes down to love. This is an important question to ponder and can be used with any situation at any time. The litmus test becomes based on a loving framework where you are asking yourself what is most loving. The choice to take action is, of course, up to you. Your Innate Healing Abilities and Aging Gregg Braden shared about a nun he had met in Tibet who was extraordinarily wise with incredible energy. She looked like she could be in her 70's and still remembered events over a century ago. He later found out that this woman was 120 years old. Did she hold the secret to a long life? Let it Be Easy Susie Moore shared such a powerful story about growing up in shelters and just wanting to create a life that someday would be easy. She envisioned a high-paying job with ease and comfort, which she later manifested while working in Silicon Valley, making 500K a year. The thing is, she didn't feel life was any easier or more joyful and realized something was missing. Susie moved on to become a coach and writer, soon realizing that finding joy, peace, and ease is about being in this moment and not projecting or focusing on life's circumstances. She explained that we are quick to judge, and we play out movies in our life that aren't real. This leads to upset and discord, and we become addicted to stress and future moments that never arrive. While we see stimuli always changing in our lives, the world we see on the outside mirrors the world on the inside. You've got to ask yourself, what am I allowing in versus resisting, and how can I let it be easy and move towards a state of joyful living. Ask Yourself These Questions We often don't realize that we are negative. Most people don't categorize themselves as being negative. Yet, in digging deeper, you'll find that many of your thoughts, beliefs, and comments are often coming from negativity or a place of lack. Here are the two questions to ask yourself that will change your perspective and help you see your life from a more positive lens. What's NOT going wrong? Apart from what I'm believing or the anxiety I might have of the future, is everything ok right now? We often feel a certain way because of what we're thinking; thus, the root to examine is our thoughts and what we're saying. One of the ways Susie Moore does this is through a process of disassociation. She might take something that could be upsetting or taken personally, like a negative comment about her video, and just bring it back to the basics by saying something like woman, words, computer. By doing this, you take out all the labels, meaning, and attachment and can just see what is actually happening. Don't let someone else's opinions determine your joy or emotions. Let it be easy by asking yourself these questions and looking at labels. We can then see what we're making everything mean. No illusion can withstand honest questioning. By stripping away the judgment and negativity, we simplify our states of being and return to joyful living. Susie's Heart Flare The biggest cause of suffering is thinking we're not enough, not worthy, or don't have enough. That feeling of lack is the quickest way to remove ourselves from a state of joyful living. Take a moment to put your hand on your heart and truly notice and appreciate that your sweet heart has not missed a single beat since you were born. This is direct proof of how loved you are. Practice this any time you feel disconnected. Don't forget to tap into this truth of how loved you are. The ending questions Susie Moore suggested asking yourself are: ' How can I let it be easy?' and 'What's essential here?' You are meant to experience ease, peace, and joy -you just have to remember that it's here anytime you choose to see it. The 4 Step Process of How to Stop Comparing Yourself First, my friend, you must become aware that you are comparing yourself to others. To compare is to despair! Without awareness, you will not be able to make any kind of change. Acknowledge to yourself (and/or a trusted friend, coach, or confidant) that you are stuck in comparison. Realizing that this is just a thought and a state, not who you truly are, make a note that you are 'having a comparison thought' or a 'judging thought'. This helps you stay in the observer role and trains your mind to see this as an outside aspect of you. It's a reminder that you are NOT your thoughts. Get curious, and ask yourself what it is about this person or situation that might be hinting at your greater desire. For example, if you see a photo of a super fit person, perhaps you want to feel more energy and vitality. Go to the root of the emotion and ask yourself how you want to feel or what you really desire. Often we see someone else doing something we'd like to be doing or experiencing, and rather than seeing it as inspiring or empowering, we go to comparison and lack of self-worth. It's time to change this paradigm and flip the script through curiosity, powerful questions, and going deeper to see what you want to feel. What baby steps can you take towards how you want to feel or what you want to experience? For example, if you want to be more fit, rather than judging yourself come up with a very simple and easy-to-follow plan where you'll perhaps start moving every day for 25 minutes. Additionally, don't forget to acknowledge your inner value, divinity, gifts, and worthiness. This is crucial and necessary in learning how to truly love and accept yourself, exactly as you are. Reframe Comparison to Inspiration One of the best ways to reframe comparing yourself is to look and see how this person might be inspiring you. Please also remember that whatever you see in someone else lies within you. I love the phrase, "If you spot it, you've got it." I learned this early on in a 12 step program that deals with healing codependency, and I believe it's right on the mark. Let's use this in the most positive way. Whatever it is that has you feeling less than and comparing yourself to others gives you the gift of seeing that this too is possible for you. I know that feels much better to me when I realize that it's possible to impact millions, bless millions and make millions, as many of my beloved guests are doing. See how you can get inspired by those around you. The Power of Namaste Namaste in Sanskrit means 'greetings to you' and is typically used to salute the divine. In this way, as each of us is unique divine expressions, another interpretation is to salute the divinity in you. If you've heard this in a yoga class or mindfulness experience, you might recall the teacher bowing his/her/their head to you while saying Namaste at the end of class. It is about honoring your own light and divinity and seeing that in everyone else. This act of acknowledging your own unique divine spark, and that of others, is one of the most powerful ways of getting out of the comparison lane, stop passing judgment and become more accepting of yourself. It was all about how to really show up in life, both in our humanity and in owning our divinity. I know I've struggled with this before, and we discussed how feelings like resentment, jealousy, anger, frustration, sadness, and disappointment can cause feelings of "I shouldn't be experiencing this now; I'm a spiritual being." The truth is we can't spiritually bypass our feelings and having all emotions is part of the human experience. The best remedy is compassion and kindness. Befriend your little girl, or little boy, that still lives within you and see what they might need to feel safe, heard, and listened to. As a spiritual being, the aim is to stay open-hearted to endure and experience all emotions and the bliss of presence. Agapi Stassinopoulos shared a way to handle challenging feelings; open your heart to the moment, breathe out and remember that right at this moment, you are being breathed in by the divine. In your breath are kindness, compassion, and comfort. That is the essence of existing as a spiritual being on this big blue marble. Wake Up Your Joy We often have a hard time receiving, especially joy, because it seems selfish. This couldn't be farther from the truth. You have to go to places of discomfort and vulnerability to honor and love all parts of who you are. Who you are is a soul in a body. The essence within you is to be awakened and called forward. Joy is one of the purest ways to connect to your highest essence. Remember, waking up to joy is a process. Living in joy is another way to express yourself as a spiritual being. You don't have to bypass all your negative feelings, but be open to all the small moments of joy as they present themselves to you, and you will begin to find more moments exist than you previously noted. Kindness Is The Way I love that Agapi said it is time to start romancing ourselves and do things that bring us joy and inner peace. Make your ego your ally and not your enemy. Claim your inner knowing and follow it with focus, faith, and trust. Through kindness, not through shaming ourselves, we can feel a greater divine spirit navigating and breathing us through our challenges. Slow down and notice the gaze of God, the divine presence that is always with you and shows up through kindness and compassion. Final Thoughts Agapi Stassinopoulos was such a light and gave a lot of food for thought on how to awaken ourself to living as a spiritual being while acknowledging our human selves. It's important to note that while feeling our humanness is part of our journey here, we are also meant to recognize the joy we are blessed with. Your Purpose is Your Passion Aaron Abke stresses that your purpose is your passion. Your ego has no passion. Follow your passion, which will lead you to the many ways to share your purpose with the world and then allow love to infuse it all. Your passion will also lead to your authenticity, which opens the door to gifts you can't imagine. The ego doesn't live in authenticity. In order to follow your passion, you have to live in authenticity. There's no way for your finite mind to predict what the infinite has in store for you, so stay open to how you can be used to be of service. Remember, the Universe always has your back and is working for your highest good. There is no such thing as not being worthy; you are part of the Infinite Love. This shift in consciousness is all about taking the leap into a unity mindset, that we are all unique aspects of the one. How to Raise Your Consciousness The Universe is giving us opportunities to trust and surrender. You will know this by being viscerally aware and present of what's happening, right now, in the moment. We are in a wilderness season as we're making the shift in life and upgrading to a unity consciousness. You have to close a door before the next one can open. Aaron Abke shared his personal experience of leaving his own family's church community because it no longer felt aligned. We all often have so many limiting beliefs. The necessity is to be authentic, to radiate yourself regardless of the actions or beliefs of others. This is what Ra shares in the Law of One. What this radical authenticity calls for is radical compassion and love. There are many colliding beliefs on the planet right now. A way to handle this is to say to yourself and the other person you disagree with: "I see you, as a soul... it's ok to all have our beliefs." This is a practice of true self-love. Living in this state of encompassing love, the Law of One is just one way to raise your consciousness. The Ra Material is a marvelous channeled five-book series worth reading. Being the Light It's our job to be the light. We do this by being in the world, but not of the world. We have to build the new world now, not when the old world is obsolete. Together, as we evolve out of ego consciousness (3rd density) into unity consciousness (4th density), we are paving the way to the world we desire for ourselves, our children, and their children. This means remembering that all challenges are for your learning and that all is well. We are all infinite and unlimited. I loved recording this episode and sharing this special story with you, and I hope you enjoy it too. It's important to note that there is a lesson we can find in even the smallest of experiences. We just have to be open to them. The Turtle Story About 6 months before Covid invaded all of our lives, I had an experience that would change my life. I was making the half-hour trek into DC to take my kids to school, then back to head to the gym to begin my hectic day. As I'm driving down a busy four-lane highway, I see a turtle directly in my path and come to a screeching halt. Somehow, there is no one on either side of me. While I'm frantically trying to figure out what to do with this turtle before traffic comes along, a car stops on the other side of the road. A woman gets out of her vehicle, leaps over the median, grabs the turtle, and carries it to the other side. Dumbfounded, I asked her, "How did you know what to do?" She quickly explained she was a turtle expert. What were the chances of that? She told me how to handle the situation if it happened again. Much to my surprise, it did...only a few weeks later. I was able to take her advice and help the turtle to safety. Shortly afterward, while I was at a retreat, I found the little turtle that sits on my desk. He reminds me that being slow, steady, and mindful is what I should aim for with each and every day. Slow and Steady Getting into the mindset of the turtle, becoming mindful of living a slow and steady existence encompasses not only being kind and taking time to honor yourself but being with your emotions. It is essential to be with your physical body, as well as your mental, emotional and spiritual self. Just tuning in and being mindful of who you are at the core of your being. I know how busy everyone is with kids, partners, careers, but you have to take time either in the beginning or at the end of your day to be present. To make time for slow and steady energy and take a pace for grace. But for now, at this moment, stop and be mindful of how you can find your slow and steady. Your pace of grace. In what small way can you add this to your life? Being present in the midst of chaos? Tuning In To truly be present and find that pace for grace, you need to be mindful of your authentic energy and how you can work with your natural state. If you are a high-energy person, how can you make slow and steady work for you? You also have to create healthy connections with yourself. Reaching into emotions you might not want to feel. You can't bypass "negative" emotions simply because they aren't happy or high vibe thoughts. Be present with them. Connect to your authenticity. Final Thoughts I invite you to reflect on how you can better slow down, get into that mindful, slow, and steady turtle energy. How can you make your life more delicious by being mindful? Being present and living moment to moment and really savoring your life and enjoying life's little gems? Take a look and then implement that pace for grace today. Meet Dr. Martha Beck Dr. Martha Beck is a New York Times bestselling author, life coach, and speaker. She holds three Harvard degrees in social science, and Oprah Winfrey has called her "one of the smartest women I know." Martha is a passionate and engaging teacher, known for her unique combination of science, humor, and spirituality. Her newest book, The Way of Integrity: Finding the Path to Your True Self, was an instant New York Times Best Seller. If you have not yet read Martha's book, The Way of Integrity, it's a must-read. We go deep into the power and meaning of integrity and the effects on our body, psyche, and mind when we are not living in integrity with our true self. Martha shares many exercises, tools, tips, and ways to find your truth, in addition to sharing her own incredibly moving and evocative story in how she personally excavated herself to discover she had been living much of her life out of alignment with her truest self. Integrity is very much connected to being and expressing your You-est You, which boils down to living in authenticity and following your inner teacher. What is Integrity I love this quote from Dr. Martha Beck, "integrity is the cure for unhappiness." The word integrity comes from the root integre, which means intact. When we abandon our whole self, we split into parts of ourselves. This emotional split creates duplicity within our own sense of self and causes a feeling of separation from our true selves. This is the root of psychological pain. I see the You-est You as your true self, and as Martha shared, integrity is the essence of our inner teacher, our truest and highest self, our You-est You (or me-est me). Listening to your inner teacher is important, and this voice can only be found in the present moment. The present becomes a stretcher of grace, as Martha stated, and is where we will connect back with our core self. Understanding the meaning of integrity and allowing it to let your essence flow is what Dr. Martha Beck's book, The Way of Integrity, is all about. A Year of No Lies When we split from ourselves, what we really desire is wholeness. A way to commit to our true self is deciding that we will not tell any kind of lies . . . including white lies. Martha gave herself the challenge of one year of no lies, and you'll have to tune in, and read the book, to find out what unfolded. The meaning of integrity doesn't just apply to your interactions with others but how authentic you are with yourself. What is crucial is rewiring from cultural expectations to your truth. This takes courage and incredible strength, yet the result will be the sweetest freedom and sovereignty that only integrity and being fully truthful can bring. How To Live In Integrity When you are living in your truth, you will be brought into peace. The first step to living in integrity is to tell the truth and nothing but the truth. Watch how this feels and how it might be challenging, especially for us recovering people-pleasers, and notice how your body loves the truth. The second step is to turn the light on your truth and see what is really going on. We'd never leave ourselves if we weren't afraid. Be gracious with yourself as you tell the truth. The third step is to calmly acknowledge what you're scared to look at. Sit with this fear and honor that it might not feel safe right now, but soothe and calm yourself that it's ok not to be ok. This will switch your brain and body from a fright/flight state of being to relax while in the presence of uncertainty. It's ok to be still and still be afraid. Allow yourself to be held in the stillness and know that you are ok even if you don't feel ok. What we're afraid of is losing a sense of control and self. In this process, you will rediscover your own divinity. The Force of Light and Your Truest Self Dr. Martha Beck explains in The Way of Integrity that we are all the same . . . we're meant to go from misery to our natural state of happiness. When imagination is connected to your truth, it creates your own personal heaven, and the force of light can flow through you. An offering that can help bring you back to a state of calm and your truest self is to relax yourself. Try this breathing exercise where you surrender on the inhale and say, "I surrender my resistance to everything being in the Universe in this instance," and allow on the exhale and say, "I breathe in and allow everything to be in the Universe exactly as it is in this instance." This will help you to tap into your natural flow and surrender to a greater divine force. Final Thoughts Dr. Martha Beck helps us understand the meaning of integrity and how we can not only understand it but align ourselves with it and live from a deeper state of being. What Is Your North Star To follow your North Star, you have to understand what it is and be able to find it. You have to know why it's important to be your most authentic self moment to moment. To be able to process what it is your heart desires and share who your You-est You is with yourself and the world. This means sharing your talents and your purpose with the world and letting your most authentic essence shine brightly upon everyone you meet. Your North Star is the inner compass that allows you to find what all those things are. Getting the Lay of the Land There came the point in my life when I realized I didn't just want "fine and good". That wasn't what I came to this planet to express. I came here to be amazing in my own way, just as you came here to be amazing in your own way too. But first, if you don't know how to express your fabulousness, you have to know where you stand, get the lay of the land. I have a tool, The Wellbeing Wheel, in the back of my Get a Ph.D. in You book. It can help you get a deep sense of where you are right now and where you need some support. You use The Wellbeing Wheel to assess different areas of your life, such as finances, family, health, spirituality, and see where you need the most help. Once you have the area in mind, perform the exercise as outlined in the episode to tune into how you want to feel when you get that aspect of your life just how you want it. Final Thoughts Once you do the exercise and connect to the feeling, you can truly tap into your North Star and follow where it leads you. It will always lead you to your best and highest good. Practice rehearsing your sacred feelings and give yourself time to reflect on them, journal about it or discuss it with others in the You-est You Facebook group. Meet Jennifer Conroy Jennifer Conroy is a certified Life Designer® coach with a specialty in net worth and worthiness, a CPA with 20 years of experience in the financial world, and is now serving highly ambitious women who want to get their financial health back in shape. We had such an honest and powerful conversation about Jen's inner journey with worthiness (or lack thereof) and how that impacted her sense of worth and way of handling money. I gratefully got to watch Jen use her coaching skills and create her business through much time, commitment, dedication, and passion for helping women thrive. Jen is a graduate of my Life Designer® coaching program and Monetize Your Purpose program, and I'm so eager to share her brilliance and wisdom around how to tap into your true worthiness and increase your financial health, wealth, and sense of self. Say Yes To Yourself Jennifer Conroy suffered from her own inner bully (oh, I can relate to this one) and never felt good enough. She constantly put herself down and ended up getting into a relationship with an older man in high school, who gave her the external validation she was craving instead of building her own self-worth. Jen realized within her own inner knowing that this was a wrong decision but ignored her intuition and ended up in a bad relationship. After a lot of heartache and dysfunction, she learned later in life to say yes to herself. Finding Your Purpose This saying yes to yourself showed up again recently as she realized that while she liked her job as a CPA and working in the financial realm, it was not feeding her soul. After becoming a Life Design coach, Jennifer Conroy could see the transformation within herself and those she coached. She realized that, like all of us, we are worthy, valuable and overcame her scarcity mindset to leap and trust the net would appear as she started her own coaching practice. This realization has proven true for her and all those she is here to serve around healing money and worthiness wounds. We got into depth about how to do this and how Jen learned to change her inner beliefs and story. Jennifer Conroy knew there was a happy medium between her old job and her new purpose that if she could help women improve their self-worth, they could improve their net worth. Self-Worth to Networth A few key takeaways from our conversation: Know and understand your story (or earliest memory) around money Ask yourself, 'Where does that story serve you, or not?' Budgeting beliefs: look at how you feel about budgeting. A budget is meant for you to spend money on what you love to experience. It's not about limiting yourself. Understand you are inherently worthy of love, kindness, and money. You are worthy because you were born. When in doubt, pause, slow down and take time to listen to your inner wisdom. We're all on a journey of deeper self-connection and worthiness. Final Thoughts In this episode, Jennifer Conroy helped us see that building your self-worth can also help build your net worth but not judge yourself if your net worth is less than you desire. One of my favorite quotes from our talk was, "The worth in your wallet is not your worth." Powerfully said, and so true.
