In this episode, we are exploring the transformative power of visualization, and lucky you, as you'll get to experience a guided visualization. In today's episode, we dive deep into how visualization can help you imagine and manifest your best future self. Welcome to another episode of the You-est You podcast, where we embark on a heartfelt journey of self-discovery and personal growth. In today's solo conversation, we dive deep into the transformative power of finding your inner beauty and what it truly means to be your 'You-est You.' Get ready to be inspired as we explore this empowering topic. Honoring Your You-est You® Do you ever stop to see and feel the incredible beauty within you, my friend? I mean the inexplicable, sacred, awe-inspiring beauty that lives in you and is you? If you're like me, you probably wake up most mornings bypassing this thought as you prepare for the day, pour your coffee, and make sure you've put on clean clothes. For those of you who studied Latin, 'est' means 'are.' So, in essence, your You-est You is all about being who you are, owning your gifts and unique qualities, and allowing yourself to be fully self-expressed as you are. In this episode, I share my realization about the healing power of beauty that changed my perspective (which we know leads to miracles), beliefs, and energy. Tune in to learn how to reconnect with your inner beauty. Listening To Your Soul Don't underestimate the power of listening to your inner voice and what your inner desires are pointing to. To hear what your soul is saying, you must have a healthy dose of self-love, compassion, and trust in yourself and your inner guidance. I share some of the recent stories where I followed my nudges and the external signs and synchronicities to find deeper meaning and direction. Getting Back On The Mat I took a good year and a half off from doing yoga after hurting my back in 2022. I was an avid yogi, and taking this time off was highly challenging for me; however, it was a blessing in disguise as I allowed my relationship with my body to heal and transform how I showed up on the mat. What used to be a high-geared workout with flowing movements in between has become a loving and mindful practice of breath, flow in whatever way my body feels best, and profound gratitude for being able to move. My nervous system is much happier, my back is healing, and most importantly, I have stopped the comparison match and am showing up for my practice of breathing with grace, joy, intention, and union (which is the definition of yoga). I pray that you can get back on the mat, be it yoga or any other area of life where you have needed to reset. Beauty Is A Love Language For years I experienced shame and guilt about my love of beauty. Somehow, growing up in a hyper-intellectual realm, I felt beauty wasn't important, necessary, or valuable. And I'm not just talking about outer appearances, although I love a gorgeous dress or stunning necklace. I mean the beauty found in nature, art, food, writing that flows, dance, synchronicity, and, yes, aesthetics as well. What is often missing is the appreciation of our inner beauty – the beauty of our spirit. I recently had a realization I wanted to share with you. To experience more extraordinary beauty in your life, you have first to be able to spot it in yourself. We are all beautiful because we are all made from the same divine creator. This beauty is timeless, shapeless, and irrelevant to age or external qualities. Remember that your true essence, your 'You-est You,' shines brightest when you love and accept yourself fully. S2 Ep 361Life Lessons From The NICU with Sue Ludwig
Meet Sue Ludwig Sue Ludwig is a sought-after speaker, consultant, and writer. A licensed occupational therapist and certified neonatal therapist, she is president and founder of the National Association of Neonatal Therapists (NANT), where she uses a blend of clinical expertise, innovation, and leadership to support the advancement of this specialized field on a global level. Sue is the media expert in neonatal therapy for the American Occupational Therapy Association, a member of the steering committee for the National Coalition for Infant Health, and a medical advisory board member for Hope for HIE. She has received the Laura Edmunds Lectureship Award from UMass Memorial Medical Center, the Individual Contribution to Maternal and Child Health Award from the National Perinatal Association, the Entreleadership Momentum Award from Ramsey Solutions, and the Alumni Professional Achievement Award from Eastern Kentucky University. She has also been named a Graham's Foundation Resilience Honoree. Sue's book Tiny Humans, Big Lessons was published in March of 2022. Today, Sue lives in Cincinnati, Ohio, with her husband and a few dogs and has two grown children. Lessons From The NICU You will be touched, moved, and empowered by this conversation with Sue. She shares how her years spent caring carefully for tiny humans led to some of her biggest breakthroughs and lessons. Here's the thing, we are all made of energy. In the NICU, it was clear that helping the infants to preserve and manage their energy meant life or death. Sue realized that this is true for adults as well and shared how she applied these lessons to her own life. Managing Your Energy After the devastating experience of her husband losing his job, losing their dream home and money, working two jobs, and finding out her young son was a victim of a crime, she found herself exhausted, overwhelmed, numb, and in fear mode. Let alone falling asleep in the chair getting her haircut; Sue felt like she was barely surviving. She found herself caught on a hamster wheel that she was dying to get off. The lessons she learned in the NICU helped her heal slowly, come home to herself, and shift her energy. Here are the steps that Sue and I discussed that I know can help you if you're finding yourself in survival mode rather than thriving. Become aware and observe where your energy is being wasted versus invested. Realize that you have a choice about where your energy is going. Ask yourself, 'What am I doing that gives me energy versus takes away my energy?' Be honest with yourself. Check your calendar to see where there are energy leaks, in other words, where you are doing things that are not aligned with your energy or priorities. Start to prune anything that is not giving you energy. Like our dear mutual friend, Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor says, please take responsibility for the energy you bring into the room. Watch Your Words The words you are saying are more powerful than you might realize. Your words are important and can change the energy in the room and within your relationships. Pay attention to the words you're using, observe what you're saying, and notice how you feel when you say certain things. Sue shared how she often used to say, 'I don't care,' when asked about a preference, be it eating out or doing something. She realized that saying she didn't care didn't powerfully align with how she felt. She started to switch her words and said things like, 'I don't have a preference,' which felt very different to her husband, family, and herself. The Power of Intentions Intentions direct your energy. Sue realized the difference it made to setting an intention before entering the NICU and in her life. We talked about her 5-second powerful process that changed her life. I wanted to share it with you here because it's easy to do and can make all the difference in how you feel and show up daily. Pause Breathe Check your baggage (Sue likes to imagine literally checking your luggage at the door) Set your intention The World Needs Your You-est You™ I truly hope this conversation gave you more permission to pause, rest, stop pushing, and watch and manage your own energy and inner state. Everyone is unique in their own way, and you certainly are here for a reason. Sue reminds us that we would never compare babies in the NICU, and we should take from this lesson and remember to stop comparing ourselves to others. You're unlike anyone else on the planet, and it's time to honor that. Be willing to believe in your own light, gifts, and talents. It's time to be your 'You-est You'! A Free Toolset To Design Your Best Life This stunning free toolset is a 7-day workbook (25 pages full) of powerful mindset practices, grounding meditations (and audio), a new beautiful time management system and template to set your personalized schedule for your best productivity, a personalized energy assessment, and so much more. Laura and I talked all about giving yourself a permission slip to stop trying so hard, embrace the late bloomer in you and do life YOUR way. This is a book you won't be able to put down. I shared how I couldn't stop reading it and found myself half asleep with pig lard on my face (yes, it's a thing), glasses, and fingertips, as I earmarked almost every page and underlined more than half of the book. Want inspiration to be a little lazy, less worried about what others think, and a reminder that you are perfect the way you are wired? If so, this is a must-listen-to episode. The Unfiltered Truth Laura fearlessly confronts life's obstacles in her book, "Tough Titties" and she shares verrrrry openly about her setbacks, disappointments, and embarrassing moments that shaped her into the resilient, take-no-sh*t from anyone woman she is today. Through her unfiltered storytelling, Laura reminds us that we are not alone in our struggles and encourages us to embrace our vulnerabilities as a source of strength. Heck yes, Laura! Meet Lisa Barnett Lisa Barnett is the internationally recognized #1 bestselling author of "Your Soul Has A Plan – Awaken to your life purpose through the Akashic Records," "The Infinite Wisdom of the Akashic Record," and "From Questioning to Knowing – 73 Prayers to Transform Your Life". She is also the Founder of the Akashic Knowing School of Wisdom, where she has taught thousands of students worldwide to access personal Soul wisdom and guidance to transform their life, working directly with their personal Akashic Record Keepers. Lisa helps you align with your soul path, understand your soul contracts, and complete your karma and vows. Exploring the Akashic Records Lisa Barnett, Akashic Records expert, and healer, went into detail about the Akashic Records and why you will want to know about them. To begin, the Akashic Records refer to an energetic realm or a cosmic database that is said to store every thought, event, emotion, and experience that has ever occurred throughout time and space. The concept of the Akashic Records can be traced back to ancient civilizations, including the Hindu, Buddhist, and Theosophical traditions. They are believed to be a part of a collective consciousness that transcends individual human existence, providing access to information beyond our ordinary perception and offering an intriguing avenue for exploring the depths of human consciousness and the mysteries of the universe. Unlocking the Mysteries of Cosmic Knowledge The Akashic Records are often described as existing on the ethereal or astral plane, a dimension beyond our physical reality and in non-linear time. In the realm of the Akashic Records, time is not perceived in a linear fashion. Past, present, and future coexist, allowing access to information from any point in time. The Records are said to encompass multiple dimensions, offering insights into various aspects of existence, including personal, planetary, and even cosmic levels. Stay with me here, as there is much more to explain why they are important for you to understand. Your Greater Purpose and The Akashic Records Here's the thing, exploring the Akashic Records can aid you in understanding your life purpose, identifying patterns, and releasing energetic blockages, leading to personal growth and healing. We discussed why Lisa wrote her book, Your Soul Has A Plan, and ways to better understand how you have multiple purposes within your life. The idea is to gain profound spiritual insights, expand your awareness and connection to the divine, and support your soul's evolution. Accessing the collective knowledge of the Akashic Records can provide guidance in helping you navigate challenges, promote unity, and create positive change. Stop Judging Yourself and Start Loving Yourself Here's what Lisa shared that hopefully will help you to understand your greater work and life purpose better. You have your own Akashic library with record keepers. They want you to know how much love they have for you and thank you for all you are doing now to make a positive impact in the world. A reminder: it's not your job to save the world. It is your job to heal and save yourself and do the best you can. Ideally, it's about being more in the flow and letting go of beliefs that aren't yours. Most importantly, stop judging yourself, and don't judge anything you've done. You've come to learn and share with others. Stay in your heart, engage in plenty of self-care, and self-love is crucial. S2 Ep 357How To Surrender Your Ego with Retired NFL Player Soul Cole
Meet Soul Cole Brandon Coleman, or as he is more commonly referred to as SOUL COLE, is a retired NFL player for the New Orleans Saints. After suffering a career-ending injury in 2018, he transitioned into the health and wellness space, becoming a Certified Health & Wellness Coach. Dealing with physical pain, depression, and anxiety, Coleman found his way back to himself by utilizing tools such as therapy, meditation, yoga, breathwork, and sound healing. Coleman was able to reprogram his body, and SOUL COLE emerged with a different kind of strength from his newly garnered practices. His own personal experiences with injury and loss have given SOUL COLE a unique and profound respect for the value of not only physical but mental and emotional health. Understanding the significance of the tools he received was a catalyst for him achieving a Health and Wellness Coaching Certificate at Georgetown University School of Continuing Study as well as completing the MBSR program from the Mindfulness Center at Brown University, School of Public Health. SOUL COLE is committed to helping others refine and redefine their lives by giving them tools to attain balance, intention, and wellness. To learn more, go to soulcolethebrand.com. You Need To Listen To Your Body Soul was gearing up to put his 20 years of hard work into playing for the NFL until he suffered a traumatic injury to his neck and back. He continued to push himself and ended up with surgery that had him shut down on every level. Not knowing how to handle such trauma and up against the stigma of getting support, Soul found himself in a dark and lonely place that led to depression and despair. It was in his desperation that he says that God got his undivided attention, and he started to address the deeper trauma and grief. One of the biggest learnings that Soul talked about is the importance of listening and trusting your body. Everything is connected - the physical, mental, and emotional aspects are all part of a larger integrative body system. The Power of Surrendering Your Ego In his dark night of the soul, he finally chose to surrender his ego and saw firsthand how he was chasing validation, pride, and acceptance. While his ego was bruised, his spiritual connection began to deepen and grow. He realized that it's ok not to be ok. How powerful is that, my friend? If you are struggling right now, know that it's ok not to feel ok and that getting support can be the most loving thing you can do for yourself. How To Leave a Legacy One of the gifts of Soul's greater healing and awakening starting in 2018 is that it gave him the momentum and habits of self-care and self-realization that he continued to tap into and share during the pandemic. He began to find his voice and was able to make a greater impact and bring diversity to those bringing mindfulness, meditation, and healing to the world. Since his accident, Soul has been nurturing his own connection to himself as well as his faith and spirituality, and that of many others. He's been using his gifts and expertise in breathwork, sound healing, yoga, and coaching to help other individuals, especially in the African American community, come home to themselves. Human Design is gaining popularity as our collective evolves toward a new paradigm. Dana and Shayna have worked with over 1000 clients in this space and have been featured on podcasts, including Highest Self, The Lo Life, and Spiritual Shit, to share their expertise. The pair are both living and thriving in California and are the authors of 'Your Human Design.' What is Human Design? In this episode, we'll be talking about human design, a system of ancient modalities combining astrology elements, the I Ching, the Kabbalah, and quantum physics to help individuals understand their unique energetic makeup. Human Design synthesizes these systems to give you a detailed energy blueprint to help you navigate your life authentically and align with your purpose. Human Design is a system channeled by a man named Ra Uru Hu in 1987. It combines various mystical and scientific traditions to create a map of each individual's unique energetic blueprint. The system is based on the idea that each person has a specific role to play in the larger cosmic plan and that understanding their individual design can help them fulfill that role more effectively. How does human design work? Human design uses an individual's birth information to calculate their "body graph," a visual representation of their energetic makeup. The body graph includes information about the person's type, strategy, authority, centers, channels, gates, and lines. Each of these elements provides insight into different aspects of the person's personality, strengths, challenges, and purpose. We discussed this in greater depth in this conversation. How Can Human Design Help With Living Your Best Life? Human design can help individuals understand themselves on a deeper level and make decisions that align with their unique nature. It can also help people navigate relationships, career choices, and life transitions more effectively. By recognizing and honoring their individual design, people can live more authentically and fulfill their potential. The 5 Types In Human Design You'll want to fill out the Human Design assessment, which includes your birthdate, time of birth, and city of birth, to determine your unique type. There are 5 main Human Design types that Shayna and Dana explain in greater depth. Manifestor: This is a rare type, as less than 10% of the population are manifestors. A manifestor has a powerful aurora that is all about impact, inspiring others, initiating, and then backing off to let others finish. They are the fire starters. Generator: Generators make up 35% of the population and have an energetic, open and enveloping aura. They propel the world forward and use their creative life force energy to build what they love. They must do what lights them up and respond by using their body, not their mind, to know if something is aligned or not. Manifesting Generator (aka MG or Man-Gen): Manifesting Generators make up 30% of the world population and possess a surplus of creative life force energy to start and follow through with building and creating new things. They have fire starter energy and need variety to use their energy, otherwise they get bored easily. They must also respond by listening to their body response, not their mind. Projector: Projectors are 20% of the population and are here to guide the energy of others. Their aura is to see into the other person and guide them. They can get burned out quickly and need to work less but more efficiently. They highly value sharing insight and guidance and need to wait for an invitation before responding. There has to be energetic consent. Reflector: Reflectors are the rarest type with only 1% of the population falling into this category. Their aura and energy is highly empathetic as they take in energy from everyone and amplify the energy around them. They are like a chameleon and experience everything and nothing. Their sacred purpose is to be a mirro

S2 Ep 355The Healing Power of Functional Nutrition
Meet Andrea Nakayama As the host of the 15-Minute Matrix Podcast and the founder of the Functional Nutrition Alliance, Andrea is leading thousands of students and practitioners around the globe in a revolution to offer better solutions to the growing chronic illness epidemic. By highlighting the importance of systems biology, root cause methodology, and therapeutic partnerships, she helps historically underserved individuals reclaim ownership of their health. What is Functional Nutrition? Functional Nutrition was born in the 1990s as a way to fill in the gaps in medicine and healthcare. It was founded on the premise that there are three important components to address with each patient: Embrace the therapeutic partnership - the relationship between a functional medicine expert and the client is symbiotic, and it's crucial to see your client as the expert of their body Root causes - which is about asking, 'Why is this happening?' Systems biology - this is the understanding that everything in the body is connected. Functional medicine and nutrition take the approach that everybody is unique and that everything is connected. Most of the medical field puts different parts of our body into boxes, whereas functional medicine is about a systems approach. The 3 Roots to Healing Your Body Andrea likes to look at healing and caring for your body, especially if you have a chronic or inflammatory illness from a '3 roots, many branches' perspective. Here's an excellent analogy that illustrates this philosophy. Imagine you're in a field, and you see a gorgeous tree. You get closer to the tree and notice that a few of the branches are dry and dying, and some of the leaves are not as healthy. You wouldn't get on a ladder and start to chop off branches; you'd want to go down to the trunk and the root system. Human beings are the same— it's imperative to analyze and address the whole system by looking at the roots, soil, and terrain. The 3 roots to address are as follows: Genes Digestion Inflammation Managing Your Genes Andrea talks about the 4 influences on your gene expression: mindset, movement, environment, and food. All of these can influence turning on or off genes and genetic predispositions, so understanding the importance of each of these is important. For example, mindset means your belief system and how you are processing events, life experiences, and your way of looking at the world. Having a growth mindset, for example, will be helpful in supporting you to look for lessons, deeper meaning, and growth opportunities in every situation. Understanding digestion The 2nd main root is digestion, and the circles of influence within digestion are mechanical, chemical, structural, and microbiol. Digestion is really about growth, metabolism, and repair. Here are a few helpful tips Andrea shares that can enhance your digestion: Be sure to chew your food thoroughly. So many of us eat while being distracted, on the run, or in a rush, and we eat our food without fully or properly chewing before swallowing. Over time, this is just one issue that can lead to digestive problems. With digestion and finding the best plan of eating, it's not about being on a diet or what's 'right,' but more about what's best for your body. The ideal balance is a diet that has fat, fiber, and protein in the correct amounts for each individual body. Stress is one of the culprits that affect both digestion and the immune system. Finding ways to reduce stress will help your overall gut health. Eat the rainbow to keep as much diversity as possible in your diet. Reducing Inflammation The third root is all about inflammation, and the four circles of influence are clear, calm, modulate, and enhance. Aspects of how you're managing stress and your life can affect inflammation, such as having clear boundaries and saying no when you mean it versus being a people pleaser and saying yes even when it's a no. Other ways to reduce inflammation: Be clear about your needs, boundaries, and what works for you. Incorporate mindfulness and calm every day, be it meditation, yoga nidra, a walk in nature, or breathwork. Be mindful of what you're saying to yourself, give yourself enough downtime, and get proper rest. You Can Reclaim Your Health What I love about the power of functional nutrition and what we discussed in this conversation is the sacred focus on the mind, body, and spirit as a dynamic system where everything is connected. Here's hoping you are inspired to slow down, say no when you mean no, eat a color palette, and take time to chew and enjoy your food and life. Here's to your 'You-est You'! S2 Ep 354How To Change Your Relationship With Money with Barbara Huson
Meet Barbara Huson Barbara Stanny Huson is a renowned author, speaker, and financial expert who has helped thousands of women transform their relationships with money. After struggling with financial challenges in her early years, Barbara made it her life's mission to understand the psychology of money and help women become financially empowered. She has written numerous bestselling books (some of my all-time favorites) on the subject, including Prince Charming Isn't Coming: How Women Get Smart About Money, Overcoming Underearning: A Five-Step Plan to a Richer Life, Sacred Success: A Course in Financial Miracles and Rewire for Wealth. Barbara has become a leading voice in the personal finance world and a champion of women's financial health. She has been featured on major media outlets, including The Today Show, CNN, and The New York Times, and has spoken at conferences and events all over the world. Barbara's unique approach to financial empowerment is grounded in spiritual principles and focuses on helping women overcome limiting beliefs and tap into their inner strength and wisdom. She believes that true wealth is not just about money but also encompasses a sense of purpose, fulfillment, and joy. Sacred Success As one of my personal mentors and teachers, I wanted to bring Barbara back on my show to talk about overcoming fear and a scarcity mindset in a time of economic shifts. If you're ready to take charge of your financial future and become the boss of your money and financial well-being, you won't want to miss this exciting interview on the You-est You podcast. Barbara's wisdom and experience will inspire and motivate you to take action. Fear is an indicator light of success. Success always lies outside our comfort zone. As Joseph Cambell said, "The cave you fear to enter is where your treasure lies." It's crucial to enter the points of pain and fear as this is where you will begin to heal and transform. It's our secrecy and silence that keep us stuck. Focusing on your thoughts and feelings leading to the fears and stories that aren't serving your financial well-being is a good place to start. Barbara defines sacred success as pursuing your soul's purpose for your own bliss and the benefit of others while being richly rewarded. Isn't that SO powerful? A Busy Woman's Guide to Financial Success Barbara interviewed thousands of successful, high-earning women and came to the following realization about women creating success financially: 1) No one is going to save you or do it for you 2) You don't have to do it alone and shouldn't go at it alone (as women, we're wired for connection and naturally relationship-oriented) 3) Find a financial professional to help you These are the habits that are crucial to building financial literacy and wealth: Every day you must read something about money and familiarize yourself with the jargon. Every week have a conversation about money with someone who knows more than you do. Every month save automatically and make it a consistent habit. The Wealth Connection Whether you know it or not, the brain controls our behavior, and our mind shapes our brain. Barbara explains that true financial success is 4 pronged in this way: You must do the outer work of wealth (knowing your numbers, getting help managing your money, learning about money, and increasing your financial literacy). You need to pursue the Inner work of wealth, which includes studying your attitudes, beliefs, and early decisions around money. There's a spiritual and higher realm of wealth, and once you know your purpose and are financially stable, you can be of higher service. The more you have, the more you can give. The deeper work of your mind and brain connection is crucial and often overlooked. This is explained in depth in Barbara's book, Rewire for Wealth. The Three Levels of Financial Wellbeing Barbara shared in clear and easy terms the three levels of financial being. See which one resonates the most and how you might start working on your own financial set point to move to the level of affluence and overflow. The three levels of financial being are: Survival - this is where you do not have enough money and feel like you are barely getting by. Stability - you have just enough money but not a lot of extra or overflow. Affluent - You have more than enough money and are able to experience financial freedom on all levels. We discussed how to create affluence. I thought Barbara's wisdom here was spot on. To have affluence, you need to give up profit as the primary goal. It's actually about greatness. Greatness is the intersection where your deep gladness meets the world's deepest hunger. As Frederick Buechner said, "The place God calls you to is the place where your deep gladness and the world's deep hunger meet."That is sacred success. Spiritual Guidance With Money A Course In Miracles (ACIM) is a spiritual guide that helped Barbara to heal her relationship with money (and is helping me on my own journey as w

S2 Ep 353The Power of Woo Woo Spirituality
Meet Julie Reisler Julie Reisler is an interior designer for your soul. Julie is a certified master spiritual life coach with over ten years of coaching experience and a master's degree in health & wellness coaching from Maryland University of Integrative Health. Julie is the founder of the Life Designer® Coach Academy, a spiritual life coach certification, and a professor at Georgetown University. She is the host and founder of the You-est You® Podcast, which is now in over 175 countries, and the author of Get a PhD in YOU, an Amazon top-pick. Julie has been featured in Forbes magazine, MindBodyGreen, Bustle, The Chopra Center, and Thrive Global. She is also a prominent teacher, course creator, and guide on the popular app Insight Timer. Discovering the Truth Behind the 'Woo Woo' Label What does the term 'woo woo' mean to you? Don't hold back, my friend. Be honest here. Do you think being 'woo woo' is wacky!? Is it something you find amusing, trendy, or maybe even unsettling? Let's explore the deeper meaning behind this concept. I admit to having used this term in the past, only to regret belittling something that holds scientific and spiritual truths. In this episode, I offer a fresh perspective that will help you appreciate practices often labeled as 'woo.' I even came up with a new framework to really understand how to see things considered 'woo' from a whole new empowering and life-giving perspective. Join me on this journey of discovery, where you can unlock the potential for enhanced health, wellbeing, and a deeper sense of unity. Understanding Heart Intelligence As you probably know, I love the research and work done at the HeartMath Institute. A portion of all proceeds from my coach certification program goes to HeartMath, and I regularly donate to their organization because I believe in their discoveries and work…which some might consider 'woo woo.' Let me share with you one of the recent studies shared from the HeartMath Institute that will illustrate how important it is not to dismiss energy, beliefs, and things that could be considered 'woo.' A lot of research has been done to uncover a remarkable relationship between our thoughts, feelings, and attitudes and the effects they have on our own physical DNA. As you might already know after listening to my interview with Dr. Bruce Lipton, author of Biology of Belief, it turns out that our genes are changeable and not fixed. According to research done through the HeartMath Institute, heart-centered positive emotions like compassion, love, gratitude, joy, and care can all improve our immune function, suppress inflammation and heal our nervous system. And get this, the practice of heart coherence (which has to do with your heart rate variability or HRV) and setting intentions (see my past interview with Lynne McTaggart about the power of intentions) was found to create the most significant impact on the physical aspects of DNA strands. What this means is that self-empowered healing is a real thing. It is backed by science and certainly NOT 'woo woo.' The Wisdom Of Oneness Rather than focus on how we're different, my new framework for WOO: the Wisdom Of Oneness honors traditions, spiritual truths, and science that shows how we're all connected. To learn more about the power of our oneness, I highly recommend reading the book The Divine Matrix by Gregg Braden, who has been a guest three times on this show. My question to you is, how might you find that oneness within yourself? S2 Ep 352Leveraging Spiritual Intelligence & The Power of Forgiveness with Aaron Abke
Meet Aaron Abke Aaron Abke is a paradigm-shifting spiritual teacher who delivers a fresh, new perspective on Self-Realization through his teachings on the Law of One, Non-Duality, and Spiritual Intelligence. Aaron aims to provide humanity with the tools, knowledge, and practices needed to aid our collective ascension to Enlightenment, or "4th Density Consciousness". His passion and purpose are to awaken this planet to the awareness of our oneness and collective destiny as an Enlightened civilization. Ok, gorgeous soul, this conversation definitely goes deep into the metaphysical and cosmic worlds. I'd invite you to listen with your heart and an open mind. Of course, sift through the conversation, take what resonates, and leave the rest. The Law of One To set the context here, I asked Aaron to share his wisdom on The Ra Material: The Law of One. This book was channeled in the 1980s by UFO researchers who spent years and took meticulous care to connect with and take note of their 106 conversations with Ra, a 6th-density social memory complex. In short, this refers to minds that are all joined on another density plane that are all acting as one mind. This is a similar concept if you listen to Abraham Hicks (channeled by Esther Hicks). And don't worry my friend, I will be sure to explain what this means. We Are All One In essence, Ra states that the whole universe is one being and that all creation is of one thought. We're each literally like a neuron in the Divine Mind, and we all play in the totality of the creator knowing itself. Our minds create the illusion of being separate and of the idea of evil. In reality, there is no evil in God. God is perfect love, unity, and wholeness. The highest truth is our oneness. Everything in the Universe is electromagnetic energy. Every particle has a charge. You must choose which polarity you want to be — positive or negative. The negative charge represents separation and not being connected to your heart. This often shows up as an endless need for power at the expense of others. The positive polarity is about love and being of service to others. When you love and serve, you are emulating the Creator. Why Your Chakras Are Important You may not realize that there are 7 densities of consciousness for the soul to evolve, and they are also connected to the 7 chakras (energy wheels of life). Here's a brief overview to give you a taste of how the chakras are related to life experiences. The primal chakras are 1 - 3, whereas the spiritual chakras are 4 - 7. These 7 energy centers are all about how the soul journeys over a 75,000-year period from separation to oneness. The 1st density is the Root, a red ray of pure being. All 5 elements of the Universe; wood, fire, earth, air, and metal- are considered the root. The 2nd density of consciousness is the orange ray which signifies growth, movement such as our animals, plants, fish, and pets. The 3rd density, the yellow ray, is the 'I AM' consciousness we experience as human beings. It's about becoming self-aware and is connected to the solar plexus. The 4th density, the green ray, is all about love, oneness, and unity. Ra talks about just needing 51% of the human population to be polarized to the positive to regain and reclaim unity consciousness. This density is about the connection of all things, realizing that separation is an illusion of the mind. Many of us (especially if you are moved to read this) are now moving toward the 4th density. The 5th density is that of light and is connected to the throat chakra, sharing wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. This is the realm of light bodies that are purely electromagnetic in density. The 6th density is the indigo ray and is the law of one density, which is all about unity between love, light, and wisdom. The Ra social memory complex is a conglomerate of higher consciousness that streams as one unified consciousness. The 7th density is where you become your higher self. This gateway density is connected to the crown and where the highest guides merge back into source energy. The Power of Forgiveness Forgiveness is the answer to healing all human wounds, for it taps into the powerful energy of letting go and moving forward. On a metaphysical level, forgiveness gives you the opportunity to see the illusion of separateness. It allows you to release the idea of 'right' or 'wrong,' instead putting you into a realm of love and compassion and letting go of anger from the mind and body. The Feminine and Masculine Energies Explained The feminine and masculine energies within all human beings are crucial for healing and are often misunderstood. The masculine represents the mind, and much of the healing here is about correcting false beliefs in the mind. When you forgive yourself and others, you remember who you are. The feminine represents the heart and the 'I AM' state. Healing happens when you give love to the part of you that is upset. It's ok to feel afraid and hurt, but loving those woun

S2 Ep 351Healing from Trauma with Judith Richards
Meet Judith Richards Trauma Response Creator, Judith Richards, who was most recently in the documentary FACING FEAR, is an extraordinary woman who suffered unspeakable abuse. This abuse, which started as a little girl, continued in various forms into her adulthood. Physical and psychological trauma was Judith's normal. Time and time again, she found herself in a loop that kept repeating from one toxic situation to the next. It was not a good place to be, and it was not safe. Eventually, as a middle-aged adult, Judith managed to extract herself from the continued and repetitive abuse; however, she isolated herself as it was the safest option. But this wasn't a life. The residual effects of Judith's trauma plunged her into a horrendous mental state of extreme PTSD breakdown - living in hallucinations, flashbacks, and terror. She discovered that escaping from the abuse was one thing, but repairing and resolving the impacts of the trauma was an even greater challenge. Learning how to live with her trauma was never a viable option. She needed to resolve it. Piece by piece, Judith found a way to repair herself with what is now her leading trauma response process, known as TRTP. Rewiring Your Subconscious Here's the thing most of us don't realize – our conscious mind only accounts for 5% of our life, whereas our unconscious mind runs everything else. We pick up beliefs about ourselves early on in our life, starting from birth until 8 years or so. So, if you grew up feeling that it wasn't safe to be seen or heard, you will continue to develop an unconscious belief that it's not safe to be visible (which is especially a tough one for those wanting to make a bigger impact in the world). We take on our negative core beliefs, which become the foundation for our beliefs and actions. We thus manifest what our unconscious believes. Judith shares how she changed her unconscious mind, which then changed her life and allowed her to keep past traumas in the past. Overcoming Trauma Trauma, or distress (a similar term for trauma that can cause less of an emotional response), as Judith discussed, is stored in our body. Distress is an event where your amygdala is triggered (the emotional center of the brain), and hormones like the underlying root fear behind trauma, be it anxiety or depression, is that you are not safe. The problem is that when your body is constantly stressed, staying in the fight-flight or freeze state, your nervous system stops regulating, and it feels like past traumas are happening in the present. You continue to emit cortisol and adrenaline, and your body keeps reliving this high state of alert and feeling unsafe. The Power of Choice One of the most important aspects of healing trauma is taking back your personal agency and reclaiming your power of choice. Judith demonstrates this brilliantly in the film, Facing Fear, and we discussed how crucial it is to fully embody and embrace your choice to know that you're safe and that you deserve to heal. One of the ways to do this is to use power statements around choice that aren't just affirmations but are commitments to yourself with intense emotion. Here are a few examples of what you might say: I get to choose. I choose to know that it's now safe for me. I choose this in every cell of my body and in my being. I choose to deserve to be treated with care and respect. I choose this because I can. I am enough. I vow to love me. Facing Fear Judith was recently in the film, Facing Fear by filmmaker Bill Bennett, addressing universal questions about whether we need fear and what it's for. Bill had received devastating personal news, which catapulted him into fear. Then, as the pandemic hit, fear turned global. Bennett traveled the globe to seek answers in this extraordinary examination of fear. Experts such as Dr. Joe Dispenza, Dr. Bruce Lipton, Caroline Myss, James Van Praagh, Sister Jenna, Lee Carroll, Paul Selig, Foster Gamble, Michael Tamura, and many more shared their wisdom about fear. You can learn more about this film and how to view it at facingfearmovie.com. To learn more about Judith and her work, go to trtptherapy.com. S2 Ep 350How To Actually Love Yourself with Erika Bélanger
Meet Erika Bélanger Erika Bélanger is a yoga teacher, stress coach, and the host of the On & Off Your Mat Podcast. As a teacher and leader, Erika helps her clients move from surviving to thriving by managing their thoughts, feeling their feelings, and regulating their nervous system, so they can reconnect to their body and its needs to experience more joy, connection, and love. Her radiant spirit and engaging sense of humor create light-hearted somatic practices focused on awareness, intentional movement, and self-care. Feeling 'Not Enough' and 'Too Much' Oh, do I know this terrible twin well of feeling both 'not enough' and 'too much'. My guest today shares all about her struggles with being told she was too sensitive, 'too much', and to stop being so difficult. What ensued in abandoning herself was a full-blown eating disorder and a whole lot of self-loathing. Erika shares openly about hitting rock bottom (a few times) and what helped her to heal her nervous system, body, and mind (for real). We dove into the various practices and ways to create safety within your own self and body and how to stop rejecting your feelings, emotions, and self. Best Practices for The Highly Sensitive Here are some of the highlights and most helpful practices to start using if you're struggling as a Highly Sensitive Person or empath with burnout, overwhelm, anxiety, hopelessness, and feelings of despair. You'll definitely want to tune into the whole conversation to hear how you can create lasting healing change within your body and mind. 1) First, you must learn to accept and embrace your own sensitivity and whatever you're feeling and experiencing. Drop the shame and stop bullying yourself. 2) If you want to learn how to meet your own needs, you must be ok with what you actually need. 3) Contrary to what you might think, when you're feeling anxious or unsettled, you'll want to match this energy with loving actions that have a similar energy, such as dancing, shaking, running, tapping, etc, before cultivating a more peaceful state. 4) To support your sensitivity, ask yourself, 'What do I need?' and then listen, honor, and meet your needs. 5) Creating safety is key to your healing and well-being. S2 Ep 394How to Use Oracle Cards for Beginners
Meet Julie Reisler Julie Reisler is an interior designer for your soul. Julie is a certified master life coach with over ten years of coaching experience and a master's degree in health & wellness coaching from Maryland University of Integrative Health. Julie is the founder of the Life Designer® Coach Academy, a spiritual life coach certification, and a professor at Georgetown University. She is host and founder of the You-est You® Podcast, which is now in over 175 countries and author of Get a PhD in YOU, an Amazon top-pick. Julie has been featured in Forbes magazine, MindBodyGreen, Bustle, The Chopra Center, and Thrive Global. She is also a prominent teacher, course creator, and guide on the popular app Insight Timer. Tapping into Your Intuitive Guidance While it might sound a bit 'woo' or out there, the truth is that we all have intuitive guidance to help us make decisions and choices in all areas of life, really. It's called your emotional guidance system, and when you learn how to tune in and trust it, you will start to notice patterns when something feels right, be it something you sense in your body or an image you might see, or an emotion you feel. You'll also learn how to decipher what 'no' feels like within your own inner guidance. I've interviewed many experts, luminaries, and scientists on the show, like Gregg Braden, Sonia Choquette, Dr. Bruce Lipton, Dr. Rollin McCraty, Dr. Judith Orloff, Laura Lynne Jackson, and many others who have discussed the importance of tapping into and listening to your intuition. As Sonia Choquette shared in her interview, remember that intuition literally means 'your inner teacher.' In today's solo episode, I decided to honor my intuition and pull cards from a few of my favorite decks to see what showed up as messages, themes, and wisdom for all of us. As always, my friend, take what you like and discard the rest. And above all, make sure you run all of what I share through your own brilliant intuitive guidance. It will never lead you astray! How To Use Oracle Cards There are many ways to use oracle cards. The way that I love to use them is by no means scientifically backed, but it is a process I've been using for years that has been spot on for me and for those in my Sacredology community (where I give intuitive messages from time to time). I first like to get a sense of which deck wants to 'play' with me. Once I've decided, I take the cards out and begin to shuffle them while I state a very clear intention that sounds like this: "May I pull a card(s) that is for the highest good for me and all those I'm here to serve. May this card(s) shed light, open hearts, and bless me and everyone involved." I then shuffle and often span the cards out in my hands to see which one feels like it wants to be pulled out. Often it's the top card, but sometimes it's another card wedged in the deck. I trust my guidance and have never pulled a card that didn't fully resonate. I'd encourage you to practice this process or one that works for you and take note of the cards you get and what they mean to you. After time, if you continue to play with your intuition and the oracle cards, you will start to see patterns, themes, and wisdom that I'm confident will guide you through whatever is going on in your life. Playing and tapping into the wisdom of my cards has helped me enormously in connecting more deeply with my 'me-est me.' The Oracle Cards In this Episode I pulled some powerful cards in this solo session, and I am sharing the card, main message, and where you can get them below. I'd love to hear from you what resonates the most and what you're discovering about yourself. The You-est You Intention Deck juliereisler.com/shop The first card I chose was: Integrity The intention: Integrity is the cornerstone of having a life that works with ease. I choose to align my words and actions with my highest intentions and to follow through on what I say and commit to. I show up in my life today with integrity and responsibility for all that occurs in my life. The second card I chose was: Laughter The intention: Laughter is healing for my body and soul. I will find time to invite laughter into my day to lighten up myself and those around me. Ask yourself, where might you add more integrity to your life? Where are you in and out of integrity? Note: Do not judge yourself either way here. Also, look at where and how you're adding levity, laughter, and lightness to your life. Animal Spirit Guidebook Amazon link: https://amzn.to/3JO4gju The next deck I picked from is another one of my favorites. This beautiful deck will give you incredible guidance and insight connected to different animal spirits and the four elements: water, air, earth, and fire. The card I chose was: Vulture Deeper meaning: The vulture signifies both a guardian and a purifier. This is one of the most misunderstood creatures, as its gift is purification and helping to bring you back into balance. Something to think about: What you t

S2 Ep 348How To Tap Into The Power of Love with Rabbi David Aaron
Meet Rabbi David Aaron Rabbi David Aaron is a spiritual teacher who has invested over 4 decades delving into life's BIGGEST question marks and sharing his life-changing wisdom and insights with adults and young adults. He has emerged as the 'God expert' simply because he has dared to ask and answer the most difficult questions that he/ALL people have and/or struggle with about God's existence and their own. And while the name 'God' appears on the cover of almost all his books, he doesn't believe in 'God' – not in the popular sense of that word, which leaves the Divine entirely misunderstood. Rabbi Aaron has authored several books, including Endless Light, Seeing G-d, Love is My Religion, The Secret Life of G-d, Inviting G-d In, Living a Joyous Life, and The God Powered Life. His books have attracted national media attention, including Larry King Live and E! Entertainment. He lives in Jerusalem with his wife, Chana, and seven children. The Meaning of Kabbalah Just like the Law of Attraction, Kabbalah is about the Law of Reception and the teachings that all good is here now and always. The problem is that we don't know how to get reception. Rabbi Aaron shares that we're like radios, and we have to engineer our life to be receptive to hearing God and Good. The most important things in life are not things. Experiencing love, peace, good, and God are always here and available to everyone. And remember, if you don't vibe with the word God, just substitute the word Good. Endless Light Rabbi Aaron shared more deeply about the title of his book, Endless Light, and how we don't see light — light allows us to see. God is like the light that allows us to see what's there. God is a light, even though you can't see God. It's not about 'seeing is believing', rather, it's about 'believing is seeing'. Not seeing is actually believing. What's most important is to learn to live from the light of God and see opportunities to be of greater service. We're here to love and be of service to others. The 4 Steps to Love Love, by definition, means you don't have to be worthy to receive it, although many of us get this backward. If you deserve love, it's not a gift – it's a payment. Love is a gift and is not a business model. What's happening is that we don't have clarity on what we're here to receive. The greatest gift is our presence and being able to truly and fully be there for and with others, be it our partner, family member, or friend. In truth, we're all made of love – that's why we're here. Love is about giving AND also receiving. Rabbi Aaron shared what he calls the 4 ingredients of love: Create space for someone else and move yourself out of the center. Respect and honor that the other person is not you and is different from you. Don't try to make them be like you. To give of yourself to another person is giving your presence so they can be seen and heard. Allow your partner to do the same with you and allow space to receive love. Remember that intimacy is 'into-me-I-see'...it's about learning to be comfortable with receiving love. A beautiful quote: 'We're all pieces of love.' Accessing Your Personal Power All the personal power within you is not from you. You couldn't turn your heart off for 30 seconds because the power of your beating heart doesn't come from you. Tap into and connect with the power that is beating your heart. Get to know this power that is loving and guiding you. Meditating on your pulse is a great way to access your personal power and feel a deep connection to the miracle that is you. Feel your pulse with your finger. Notice how your pulse is happening without you giving it directions. Meditate on the marvel and mystery that every heartbeat is a gift because all of you is a gift. How To Really Be Happy The way to true happiness is through loving yourself. When you love yourself, you're happier and are able to spread happiness to others. As Rabbi Aaron said, it's not the things that will bring you happiness. It's about being yourself, living your service, and expressing the happiness that comes from living a life that is about being of service to others. Holy Selfishness Holy Selfishness is about knowing that we intrinsically need each other and that the aim is to be loving to others. Love is actually a good selfishness. The goal is to act from a place of wholeness and to focus on being holy, or 'wholly,' as you are part of a greater whole. This is holy wholeness. Love is a good selfishness because it means together we honor and acknowledge the shared one greater self. Kabbalah teaches that we're all emanating from one root self. Even though we are individual sparks of the Divine, we are also of one field of consciousness, one soul, and one self of the Universe. As always, my friend, take what you like and leave the rest. I hope this conversation reminds you of your infinite goodness, your connection to an all-loving force, and that you're inherently worthy of real love, peace, and joy. Looking To Help O

S2 Ep 347How To Give Two Weeks Notice with Amy Porterfield
Meet Amy Porterfield Amy Porterfield is an ex–corporate girl turned online marketing expert and CEO of a multimillion-dollar business. During her corporate days, Amy worked with mega-brands like Harley-Davidson and Peak Performance Coach Tony Robbins. After one fateful boardroom meeting and witnessing the lifestyle, financial, and work freedom an online business has to offer, Amy developed her nine-to-five exit plan and never looked back. Amy has helped hundreds of thousands of entrepreneurs turn in their two weeks' notice and trade burnout for freedom, income, and impact through her best-selling courses and top-ranked marketing podcast Online Marketing Made Easy. Amy's action-by-action teaching style provides aspiring business owners with the tools they need to bypass the overwhelm and build a business they love. Amy is also the bestselling author of Two Weeks Notice: Find The Courage To Quit Your Job, Make More Money, Work Where You Want, and Change The World. Amy empowers women across the globe to take their futures into their own hands and find professional autonomy, independence, achievement, and success far beyond what a corporate glass ceiling would traditionally allow. Amy's work has been featured in Forbes, Fast Company, CNBC, Business Insider, Entrepreneur, and more. Her company has twice been awarded the Inc. 5000 Award as one of the fastest-growing privately held companies in the U.S. today, she runs her growing business from Nashville, Tennessee, where she lives with her husband, Hobie, and their Labradoodle, Scout. Learn more at AmyPorterfield.com. Should You Become An Entrepreneur? This is a question Amy and I both get often, and I loved her answer. While becoming an entrepreneur is not for everyone, you'll know it's for you if you have a calling in your heart. The only way to really know if you're an entrepreneur is if you have a strong desire to do it. If it's in your heart, you will figure it out. Amy shared so many nuggets of wisdom that I only wish I had years ago when I started my own business. So, whether you're already an entrepreneur, thinking about going for it, or just sitting with the idea of doing something on your own, this conversation is the key that will unlock how to move forward. Know Your 'You-est You' Factor Before getting started, you'll want to first think about what kind of lifestyle you'd like to create. Amy shared that her first two years were a disaster because she was so burned out from hustling without a clear plan about what she wanted her lifestyle to feel and look like. You want to make sure to create a business that is authentically you and on your terms. That is suited for your 'You-est You'. The best way to do this is to get crystal clear about your why. Knowing your why will help you stay connected and committed to your greater desire to have your own business when the going can get tough. You Aren't For Everyone And That's Ok You're not for everyone, and that's a good thing! We dove into this idea that you can't make everyone like you or be for you in business (and in general). What you can do is laser into who you want to serve and why. If you keep your focus too broad, no one will find you. The magic comes from getting clear about who you're speaking to, serving, and ensuring everything you do and say is directed to that person. Looking around and comparing yourself to others in your space can be easy. Don't do it! I loved Amy's advice to put on your blinders (like you would with a racehorse) and run your own race. Keep coming back to your why and if you find yourself caught up in envy or jealousy, ask yourself what they have that you want and create a plan. What matters is not necessarily having the confidence (this comes with time) to start a business, but having the courage to take a leap of faith and course correct when needed. My friend, it's ok to do it scared, anxious, and with blinders on! How To Become a Content Queen Amy suggests finding one platform and focusing there. For example, choose to do a podcast, or a YouTube channel, write a blog, and find ways to create content on the regular. As with everything else, tap into what feels most aligned for you and where you want to spend your time and energy sharing wisdom and content. Why You Must Build an Email List Here's the thing about building an email list…most people wait to start building one but find it's the one thing they wish they had started earlier. Amy shared that even with her robust and engaged email list, she wishes she had started building it earlier. Social media is a great tool to pull in leads, but in the end, you'll want to put your energy towards building an email list that adds value and creates engagement. Social media rules always change (think Facebook algorithms and Twitter ownership), but your email list will always be something you have domain over. The goal is to pique interest and nurture your community with helpful content and products that will be of service. The re

S2 Ep 346The Secret to Embracing Menopause With Esther Blum
Meet Esther Blum Esther Blum is an Integrative Dietitian and Menopause Expert. In the past 27 years, she has helped thousands of women master menopause through nutrition, hormones, and self-advocacy. Esther is the bestselling author of See ya later, Ovulator, Cavewomen Don't Get Fat, Eat, Drink and Be Gorgeous, Secrets of Gorgeous, and The Eat, Drink, and Be Gorgeous Project. Known as Gwyneth Paltrow's menopause mentor and by Forbes for helping women thrive through menopause, Esther was also voted Best Nutritionist by Manhattan Magazine. She has appeared on the Today Show, ABC-TV, and Good Day NY and is frequently quoted in goop, Well + Good, Forbes, Time Magazine, The New York Post, The Los Angeles Times, In Style, Bazaar, Self, Fitness, Marie Claire, and Cosmo. What Is Menopause? Ah, the 'big pause'...as some might call it. As a female moving into the next phase of perimenopause, I've been rather disappointed with the lack of information shared during routine ob-gyn visits and decided to do some in-depth research. This brought me to Esther's healing work with thousands of women in and out of menopause. So, we dove all into menopause — what it is, ways to treat it, and feel better than ever. Put on your seatbelt, my friend, there's a lot of ground to cover, and as always, take what you like and leave the rest. Menopause is a hormone deficiency that happens naturally for women as they start making fewer reproductive hormones. Both menstruation and fertility declines typically with women in their early to late 40s. What Are Menopause Symptoms? Symptoms can, of course, vary from woman to woman. The good news is that 80% of the solution for menopausal symptoms can be changed and altered with lifestyle. Here's a listing of typical symptoms many women face: periods can worsen, meno-rage (what Esther refers to as excess anger and rage), insomnia and sleep issues, anxiety, depression, irregular heartbeat, breast tenderness, brain fog, vaginal dryness, lowered libido and lighter or missed periods. If you're feeling something is off, Esther urges you to trust yourself. You know your body and honor your own inner intuition! How To Embrace and Overcome Menopause One of the biggest factors in managing and even overcoming menopausal symptoms is due to lifestyle habits like the foods you're eating, the exercise you're doing, and the sleep you're getting. Esther's book goes into much greater detail; however, I'm going to break this down into those three categories to help give you an overview and more clarity. Nutrition You're going to need way more protein than ever before. Esther recommends 150 grams of protein each day. A good place to start is with 30 grams of protein at each meal (which is about 4 - 6 oz/meal). You want to keep your blood sugar stable, which protein and a small amount of carbohydrates can do. Contrary to what you might have thought, eating carbs at dinner is a good idea (for example, 1 - 1 ½ cups of rice or quinoa), which will help bump up your insulin and tamper your cortisol. Exercise Contrary to the exercise many of us do in our 20s and 30s, you'll want to switch up your exercise routine to help support your adrenals. This means less 'HIIT' (high-intensity interval training) method training and more walks. Walking outside can help reset your circadian rhythm and give you a great dose of vitamin D. Using weights, with enough rest in between sets, will also help with bone density loss. Sleep It takes 8 weeks to reshape your nervous system. Engaging in deep breathing, meditation, or yoga nidra before bed is an excellent way to rewire your fight or flight system. This takes time, so don't give up if you don't notice results right away with your sleep. What Are The Options? Esther shares research in greater depth in her book; however, we did discuss healthy options to help with symptoms and support your body during these hormonal changes. All of these suggestions are FDA-approved and considered bio-identical hormones, which are most like your own hormones. A great way to test your hormone levels, in addition to a hormone blood test, is to take what's called the DUTCH (Dried Urine Test for Comprehensive Hormones) test. Esther and other functional medical professionals can guide you so you're not going through perimenopause and menopause alone. You can get a list of Esther's 'Happy Hormone Cocktail List' that she mentioned here: https://estherblum.com/cocktail/ref/5 Menopause Redefined In Asian cultures, it's also known as 'The Second Spring.' I love this definition because of the focus on a second chance to bloom into your most true self. Perhaps this is the time in your life when you lose your filter, own your voice, and end an era of 'people pleasing'. You've not tethered to rules around your cycle anymore, and perhaps it's a time to embrace taking exquisite care of yourself. Some empowering questions to ask yourself might be: 'What do I really want?', 'Who do I want to surround myself with?' and 'How

S2 Ep 345The Surprising Effect of Spiritual Coaching with Cheryl Bailey
Meet Cheryl Bailey Cheryl Bailey is the founder of Grit and Grace Meditation. She recently became a Certified Life Designer® Coach in Julie Reisler's certification program. Cheryl's passion for life coaching began years ago when she personally worked through some of the most tumultuous times in her life. She realized that the journey of life doesn't come with a roadmap, and we all experience twists and turns, highs and lows, and there is never a perfect outcome. The work that they did together was life-altering, and she knew one day, she wanted to be able to hold space and co-create with other women on that same level. Today, Cheryl is a Certified Life Designer Coach, 200 Hour RYT, 200 Hour Certified Mindfulness Meditation Instructor, Certified Conscious Sound Practitioner, a 40- hour Certified Yoga Nidra Instructor, a Certified Hibiscus Moon Crystal Practitioner, and an Usui Level II Reiki Practitioner. Cheryl also co-facilitates transformational Self-Love Women's Retreats in Sedona and Costa Rica. Cheryl lives with her husband in magical Sedona. You can learn more about Cheryl by visiting gritandgracemeditation.com. An Unlikely Healing Path After a string of tragedies, Cheryl was taught that control was merely an illusion. Her first marriage of 17 years ended in a nasty divorce. Later, when she found love again, she lost her second husband to colon cancer. And within a few months of his passing, Hurricane Sandy rendered her homeless. Life truly pulled the rug out from under her. She fought to keep going under the weight of constant outer and inner turmoil. She knew there was another way to live, but that didn't happen until she began to fully surrender to something greater than herself. It was through various holistic and wellness practices that she found grace for herself. She realized that she didn't need to strive for perfection, and it was okay to give herself the time and space to just "be." She reconnected with her higher power and trusted God to guide her through all of life's ups and downs and ins and outs. This is when a sense of inner peace and self-awareness blossomed within, and where she found her true calling within sound healing, meditation and mindfulness, yoga, and spiritual coaching. The Healing Power of Being a Spiritual Coach Cheryl wanted to make a bigger impact by learning how to help guide women back to their truest selves and deeper desires. She knew doing this would require getting the training and acquiring the skills to support women in a bigger way. In the Life Designer® Coach Certification program, she learned how to go from her head to her heart and help others do the same. This process of letting go of the linear, left brain into what's possible in the creative right brain helped Cheryl to let go of her own perfectionistic tendencies and help others through her coaching skills. Much of coaching is learning how to help others to let their ego get out of the way, and of course, practicing the coaching competencies helped Cheryl to do this from within. Today, Cheryl coaches clients from all backgrounds and infuses her healing arts background and life design coaching in her retreats and programs. Self-love Isn't Selfish You can not give from an empty cup. Cheryl learned the hard way as a recovering perfectionist that the most loving thing you can do is to fill yourself up and take exquisite loving care of your mind and body. Sometimes that means doing things that others might not like. This is where grit, grace, and compassion come in. You must find the inner strength to follow what's true for you, regardless of what others think. We must remove the blinders and refuel ourselves with love to see and feel the Divine. The Most Important Question To Ask Yourself Cheryl, like many of us, wasn't taught to herself what she really wanted. Only after tragedy and deep soul searching did she start to ask the important question, 'Who am I, really?' What followed was the question, 'How can I be of service?'. Listening more deeply to her heart, she realized her desire was to share her gifts with others. So, after receiving the signs from the Universe, she left her successful career in higher education to pursue a life she was truly passionate about. After being inspired by her own unexpected challenges and experiences, she realized her journey was indeed her destination. Be sure to ask yourself regularly, 'Who am I, really, and how can I be of maximum service?' Get quiet, listen to your inner guidance, and be prepared to take courageous action toward your vision. S2 Ep 344How To Tap Into Your Spiritual Power with Julie Reisler
Meet Julie Reisler Julie Reisler is an interior designer for your soul. Julie is a certified master life coach with over ten years of coaching experience and a master's degree in health & wellness coaching from Maryland University of Integrative Health. Julie is the founder of the Life Designer® Coach Academy, a certification for life coaches, and a professor at Georgetown University. She is the host and founder of the You-est You® Podcast, which is now in over 175 countries, and the author of Get a PhD in YOU, an Amazon top-pick. Julie is featured in Forbes magazine, MindBodyGreen, Bustle, The Chopra Center, and Thrive Global. She is also a prominent teacher, course creator, and guide on the popular app, Insight Timer. How To Channel Your Spiritual Gifts Here's the thing, whether or not you're aware of it, you are always channeling something. Remember, you are a spiritual being having a human experience. Think of yourself as a radio station with a dial. The question really is, from what frequency or radio station are you channeling? If you want to channel your spiritual gifts and experience more joy and freedom, you must start tuning your inner frequency and radio dial to the emotional state of joy and freedom. We can't emit what we don't feel. Emotions are our guidance and will always tell you where you vibrate and what radio station you're tuned into. If you want to channel wisdom from the higher realms of greater intelligence and love, you'll want to focus your energy on experiencing this kind of unconditional love for yourself and learn to quiet your mind. It all comes down to how you feel and how you prioritize how you feel, as well as having a peaceful mind. I've discussed this in many of my past interviews with experts like Alan Cohen, Neale Donald Walsh, Marci Shimoff, and Matt Kahn. You might ask yourself how you prioritize self-care and spiritual connection (in whatever way that resonates for you) and ways to increase time for quiet reflection, mindfulness, and being heart-centered with yourself. The Powerful Study That Proves Spiritual Connection I shared a story in the second year of my graduate program at Maryland University of Integrative Health, where my professor conducted a study that is still glowing my mind. After we came back from our lunch break, she had us taste red and orange peppers from two different plates. They looked the same but tasted quite different. The first plate, labeled A, tasted bitter and sour. The second plate, labeled B, tasted sweet and delicious. When asked why we thought there was such a difference, students shouted out all kinds of answers. "The second plate are organic peppers," "The sweeter peppers are from a local farm," and "The sour peppers are GMO from a standard grocery store." Our teacher answered 'no' to every possible reason, which stumped my classmates and me. Then she pulled up a slide that forever changed my life. She shared Dr. Masaru Emoto's studies and findings from his book, 'Hidden Messages From Water'. Dr. Emoto spent years studying the implications of consciousness on the molecular structure of water. In short, he proved that the molecules change in water depending on your energy, consciousness, and way of speaking to the water. When he yelled and screamed profanity at the water, he could see after studying the frozen sample that it looked like jagged edges. However, when he was loving, kind, and encouraging to the water, he saw under the microscope how the water sample looked like a snowflake or beautiful symmetrical pattern. Our professor had done something similar. She had yelled and screamed at one plate of peppers (sample A) and had lovingly and kindly spoken to the other plate of peppers (sample B). Without knowing any of this beforehand, every single one of us could taste the difference between her angry versus loving words. We had experienced what Dr. Emoto showed throughout his water studies. If you think this sounds too 'Woo-Woo', go read the book 'Hidden Messages of Water' or google Dr. Emoto's work. It will glow your mind too. How Spirituality Can Heal The World Spirituality is the connection to all things and the realization of our oneness. It transcends religion, race, sexual orientation, and gender. Spirituality is the golden thread that links every living being (human, animal, plant) together regardless of views, beliefs, or life experiences. When you remember and connect to the interconnectedness and unique divine aspect of yourself (and everyone), you can change your life view from fear and disconnection to appreciation, forgiveness, love, and kindness. As each of us aims to heal our own mind of fear and lack and reclaim our divine birthright of goodness and light, we connect more deeply to our higher self, or the soul self, that is always with you in the past, present, and future, guiding you to what's for your best. This spiritual connection to your higher self allows you to become your 'You-est You'. Imagine a world full o

S2 Ep 343How To Trust Your Energy with Rev. Frances Fayden
Meet Rev. Frances Fayden Rev. Frances Fayden is an Interfaith Minister, Author, Intuitive Energy Coach for Conscious Women Entrepreneurs, and the Magnify Your Miracles podcast host. A master intuitive healer and metaphysical coach, Frances is fluent in the language of the human energy field known as the chakra system and can quickly translate energetic information to help her clients heal & transform. In 2012, Frances had a profound encounter with Mother Mary, which changed the direction of her life and awakened her life's purpose. She has been channeling messages from Mother Mary ever since. She loves working with Highly Sensitive Souls who have a big vision and mission yet are seeking validation and personal guidance with their next steps. Frances says, "By incorporating Mother Mary's guidance along with feedback from your own energy field, and then applying the Universal Laws of Manifestation, miracles can occur." She is the author of the books Meditation is Friendship with God and How to Recognize God. Her passion is connecting women to the unconditional love of the Divine and then teaching them how to magnify that connection, which is the key to Magnifying Your Miracles. Oh, my friend, I hope you take the time to listen to this whole conversation as energy is part of everything in your life. And I mean everything. You and I are made up of energy. Our thoughts, actions, feelings, emotions, and beliefs are all made of energy. Manifestation is really the divine process of taking thoughts, emotions, and beliefs (as you know, all energy) and creating a physical, tangible, material experience or reality (all energy). Trusting Your Energy First and foremost, you need to learn to trust your energy. This is not as easy as it sounds since so many of us are taught to override our feelings and intuition so that we can fit in, please others, or do the 'right thing.' We learn early on to dismiss the messages from our own energy and body. Being a good steward of your energy and caring for yourself is not 'woo-woo.' It's practical and can keep you healthy, vibrant, and grounded. It all starts with taking responsibility for your energy and the energy you are bringing into all aspects of your life. Taking Care of Your Energy Part of taking care of your energy is doing loving things for yourself, especially your body. You'll want to think about how you want to feel. If you're not sure what to do to take care of your energy, start with these three steps: Keep it simple - start with your body and ask yourself the following questions: 'How does this experience, person, or situation make me feel? Do I feel better or worse? Journal and reflect on what you notice when you ask yourself these questions. Check in with yourself on an ongoing basis and ask yourself, 'How did that feel?' You'll soon start to notice patterns. Your Chakras and Your Energy Think of your chakras (in Sanskrit, this is translated as your 'energy wheels') as little databases. They are always recording information and storing what happened. This database can easily go offline (especially in our western, faced-paced society) when you feel angry, overwhelmed, stressed, or unsafe. One of the best ways to restore your life force energy and chakras is through forgiveness and making sure you feel safe (and be sure to put yourself on the top of the list of people to forgive). We Could All Lighten Up I don't know about you, but I easily get so serious about life. Rev. Frances talks all about the importance of lightening up. Bring in the element of fun and joy. An example might be pulling oracle cards for the new and full moon. Notice if these activities fill your bucket and nourish you; if so, keep adding energizing and revitalizing practices. Why Your Energy Matters The bottom line is that you want to make sure your energy rejuvenates you, not depletes you. This means keen attention and presence to how you're feeling. All is in your energy, and you're affected so much more than you might realize. Be sure to work on your level of presence and mindful awareness so you can begin to tune in and notice your energy and how to keep it healthy and clear. One of my favorite takeaways: Our spiritual path is learning how to honor our energy. If you take care of your energy, your energy will take care of you. To learn more about Rev. S2 Ep 342What A Life Coach Does & How They Make Money
Meet Gina Casbarro Gina Casbarro is a certified Life Designer® coach and feng shui expert who empowers her clients to blaze their own paths and design the life and space of their dreams. Gina's passion for coaching began as a manager at lululemon. She spent more than eight years there, coaching hundreds of people to develop as leaders and crush their goals. Her love of nature, symbolism, and intuition led her to feng shui. She now weaves these passions together to support her clients in aligning their mindset, lifestyle, and their environment with their truest goals and values. Gina also hosts the podcast "Follow your Spark," which she began on a year-long road trip around the USA and beyond, interviewing people all over the world on what it looks like to create a life you love. With all of her incredible coaching and leadership experience, Gina is also the lead Mentor Coach for my Life Designer® Coach Academy certification program. Pursuing Your Dream Gina worked as a leader in a corporate setting that she liked but wasn't quite aligned with her greater passions and purpose. She became a Feng Shui expert and got into coaching with a well-known personal development program, and decided to start her business on the side to help others design their space to match their vision and values. Redefining Success Like many of us, Gina used to struggle with mind drama that caused much suffering and a feeling of discontent and worry. Gina realized the importance of personal growth in working through these inner beliefs. She started to think and act in new ways that led to more joy, peace, and inner calm. We talked about redefining success from mere stats, numbers, dollars, and followers or needing outside forces to validate you to an inherent sense of value no matter what financial number you bring in or how many clients you have. I love this new definition and hope it inspires you, my friend. Why Become A Coach While Gina had leadership skills and had coached within Lululemon and Landmark education (a large personal development program where we had met and I had coached Gina), she could feel that something was missing. Gina wanted to know the exact tools, methodology, framework, and techniques to help others get out of their own way and to find greater joy in life. Gina joined the Life Designer® Coach Academy in 2020 and became a certified life coach within my program. I could see how these classes and the community were helping her to dig deeper into her own intuition and trust herself. Now fully on her own as a Life Designer® and Feng Shui expert, Gina is using her skills and heart to help others, coach, teach and mentor the students in the upcoming cohort of my life coach certification program. Owning Your Worthiness We also talked a lot about worthiness and money blocks, as it relates to stepping into a greater identity and making a larger impact. Like any muscle, worthiness is an important muscle to build. It's not that you need to do anything to become worthy, it's about building the muscle to remember and acknowledge your worthiness. This has taken Gina time, and she shares a few questions to ask yourself that can flip the script and remind you of your inherent worthiness and value. Here are a few of the questions we discussed: Why am I capable of doing this? What's the value I bring here? Why is my work so valuable? Overcoming Money Blocks Unlike other professions, coaching is one that still operates in a bit of a 'wild west' realm. There is a huge discrepancy between what coaches charge and make. The one thing that comes up for many coaches is blocks around money and charging for services, especially if this feels like something you'd do for free because you love it so much. Side note, if you feel like this is something you'd do for free, that is a great indication that you're meant to coach and help others. Gina shared that what has helped her is creating offerings that cause the least amount of drama in her life and feel good in her body and energy. It's All About This… Most importantly is that you learn to trust that you're where you're meant to be. Period. Where you are can be full of fertilizer for where you want to be. S2 Ep 341Using Coaching, Healing, and Spirituality to Overcome a Health Crisis with Ashley Bernardi
Meet Ashley Bernardi Ashley Bernardi is the founder of powerhouse media relations firm Nardi Media, where she works with corporations, brands, entrepreneurs, and nonprofits to obtain high-profile placements in broadcast, print, and online media. Trained as a journalist at CBS News, nationally syndicated program energyNOW! on Bloomberg, and Washington Post Live, she has a natural ear for a story and a journalist's passion for research. The traumatic death of her father at a young age and diagnosis of Lyme Disease and postpartum depression after the birth of her third child deepened her passion for health, wellness, and spirituality and taught her how to access her own authentic power to heal her life. She is a certified Life Designer®, and received her certificate in The Science of Well-Being from Yale University. Ashley, the oldest child in a proud military family, was born in Schweinfurt, Germany, and has lived and worked in New York City and Washington, D.C. She is the author of the award-winning book Authentic Power: Give Yourself Permission to Feel. Join in for a powerful conversation with my very dear friend, Ashley Bernardi, who also happens to be a genius at publicity and life design coaching. Ashley shares very vulnerably about her own traumatic experience of her father having a heart attack in front of her family at age 11 and how it took years to fully process her emotions and heal from the inside out. Ashley's motivation today is to help as many individuals as possible to feel, heal and reclaim their voice and authentic power through speaking and sharing your message. This is a must-listen if you are still processing past trauma or want support to process your emotions. The Body Remembers Trauma Ashley didn't realize how her trauma impacted her sense of self and health. As a young girl, she loved to dance, be joyful, believed in magic, and, most importantly, herself. After the tragic loss of her father, she was told to act like all was normal and go back to her life as though nothing had happened. She never gave herself permission to grieve and kept the trauma buried deep within. Ashley numbed out by drinking and throwing herself into work and coped through people pleasing. It wasn't until years later, when she was knocked on her butt with a major health crisis, that she saw the connection between her body and holding on to the trauma. Turning A Health Crisis Into a Gift After seeing 30 doctors from experiencing excruciating deterioration and pain, Ashley was finally referred to a physician who was able to diagnose her with Lyme disease. She started crawling back to herself and, for the first time, had the time and space to feel her feelings. This is when the healing happened, and she realized the power of processing her emotions and tapping into her authentic inner power and intuition. A reminder to you, my friend, you can get unshackled from your fear of feeling challenging emotions and heal whatever trauma is in your past! Your Authentic Power is Your Intuition Trust is the key. It's about learning to trust yourself, your body, and your intuition. Since her journey back to full health, Ashley has focused on how to reclaim her voice and help others to do so too. One of my favorite quotes was, 'When I pay attention to my intuition, magic happens.' S2 Ep 340A Career Change at 40: Success Story with Kathy Batista
Meet Kathy Batista Kathy Batista is the go-to coach for midlife women. She believes midlife isn't just based on age – it's a phase of life and can be your best one yet! By tapping into your values and strengths, you can take aligned action to create purpose and joy, leading to that, often missing, sense of fulfillment. Now is your time! Having navigated midlife changes and shifts, Kathy offers guidance and compassion to women asking themselves, "Is this it?" or "What's next?". She enjoys sharing the tools of her growth with her clients and peers. With certifications in Life Designer Coaching, Thought Coaching, Quantum Time Technique, and Mindfulness Instruction, Kathy coaches women to discover their midlife magic through conscious healing and self-discovery. A Career Change at 40 Most of us are not raised in a society that values or gets excited about midlife. What started as a time in Kathy's mid 30's where she felt disconnected, unhappy, and lost ended up being one of the biggest gifts and wake-up calls. Maybe you can relate? Kathy, a mom of 4 boys, felt like she was walking on one of those walking ramps at the airport that wouldn't stop. She felt a lack of joy and excitement; worse off, she felt incredible shame and guilt for feeling this way when nothing was "wrong." Kathy was using and abusing alcohol, food, and shopping, all the while trying to fill a void that can't be filled with stuff. She realized she was lonely and despondent and found herself asking a big question that woke her up. Once becoming aware of her negative beliefs and stories, she realized that these could be the best years of her life. That midlife could be magical and a blessing, especially if ushered in an empowering and energizing way. The Big Question That Can Lead to Your Breakthrough The question that Kathy sat with was, 'Is this it?' It's a question I think most of us at some point ponder and stay up at night wondering about. It's often the precursor to a wake-up call that, if treated with care, compassion, and sacred attention, can lead to a transformative pivot. This is what happened for Kathy. She realized in working with coaches and healers that there was nothing wrong, she had misplaced her soul in life, and it was time to reclaim it. Have you felt like you've misplaced your soul? Or perhaps, it feels like your greater soul purpose feels far away, murky and unclear? If so, my friend, read on and be sure to listen to this entire interview. How Life Coaching Changed Kathy's Life Kathy realized that she wanted to connect more deeply to her soul's purpose, passion, and meaning, and in wanting to explore this further, she found a coach who helped her to finally see her soul. I love what Kathy said about coaching: "It's someone who holds a flashlight for you so you can see into your soul." Kathy started to get curious about how her deeper wisdom could help guide her both in her own life and in helping other women find meaning. She realized that becoming a certified life coach would be a gift for herself and to all those she's here to serve. Realizing the power of coaching, both in being coached and becoming one, helped Kathy to let go of the excess alcohol, food, and shopping. She found what she had been looking for all along; her own inner wisdom -- which is what we call your 'You-est You'. Why You Must Trust Your Intuition Trusting your intuition can take massive courage, patience, and practice. Kathy talked about how her intuition has now become her best friend. Kathy joined the Life Designer® Coach Academy certification program because of the sacred coach structure that focused on intuition and trusting your heart intelligence. What she's realized is that she can trust herself fully and that when you trust yourself at the deepest left, you are in flow with the Universe and open to being led in ways that are beyond your wildest imagination. Kathy leads with her intuition and has helped many to access and have faith in their inner guidance. My favorite takeaways: Make your inner wisdom your bestie! Befriend your intuition and listen carefully to her. Nothing is missing; you have just misplaced your connection to your soul and higher self. She is always with you whenever you are ready. Coaching is holding a flashlight up for someone else so they can see their soul and truest self. S2 Ep 339How To Become A Life Coach In 6 Easy Steps
Meet Julie Reisler Julie Reisler is an interior designer for your soul. Julie is a certified master transformation coach with over a decade of coaching experience and a master's degree in health & wellness coaching from Maryland University of Integrative Health. Julie is the founder of the Life Designer® Coach Academy, a certification for life coaches, and a professor at Georgetown University. She is also the host and founder of the You-est You® Podcast, which is now in over 175 countries, and author of Get a PhD in YOU. To learn more about Julie and how she might support you on your You-est You journey, go to juliereisler.com. The Surprising Power of Coaching This is part one of a four-part series to share with you tools, techniques, practices, and ways that have helped me be and align with my 'Me-est Me', which will hopefully help you become your 'You-est You'. So much changed in my life (thankfully, for the better) after doing the deep, spiritual, soulful work on myself. While books are great, I needed support from trained professionals who could tell when I was stuck in an old story, shitty belief pattern, or just plain ol' fear. After working with a life coach in 2010, I returned to school to get my master's degree in health and wellness coaching because I saw and experienced the healing effects (mind, body, spirit, and emotional healing) firsthand through this modality. Here, I'm sharing the life-giving and life-changing steps I now use with hundreds of clients and students worldwide. 6 Easy Steps To Become A Life Coach The 6 easy steps come from my proprietary SACRED coach approach, which I teach in great detail in my Life Design Coach certification program. Each letter stands for an integral step that can help you to be your best self: The 6 SACRED Steps: S - is about creating sacred safe space for yourself (and others) A - means actively listening with intention and presence, and awareness. C - this is about conscious communication and being sure that you are aware, awake, and non-reactive in your communication. R - is for reflection and learning how to hone in on what's really important to you and to others. E - is about engaging in powerful questions to begin looking for new possibilities and opportunities. D - is all about designing your dreams and goals with clear actions. Listen in with your inner ear, my friend, and when you feel a resonance or connection to something I'm sharing, I invite you to explore the concept or idea further to see if it might be just what your soul is looking for next. One of the most important catalysts for real change is the power of questions and curiosity. Here are some of my favorite life-changing questions I share in this episode to ask yourself to shift your perspective, beliefs, thoughts, and life: 1) How is this happening for my best and highest good? 2) What might be the biggest learning in this experience? 3) What is the most loving thing I can do right now? As always, take what you like and leave the rest. :) Oh, and if you'd like a free copy of my Life Coach's Toolset --- a powerful guide to help you design your best life and be your 'You-est You', get your copy at juliereisler.com/toolset. S2 Ep 338The Biology of Belief with Dr. Bruce Lipton
Meet Bruce H. Lipton, Ph.D. Bruce H. Lipton, Ph.D., cell biologist and lecturer, is an internationally recognized leader in bridging science and spirit. Bruce was on the University of Wisconsin's School of Medicine faculty and later performed groundbreaking stem cell research at Stanford University. He is the bestselling author of The Biology of Belief, The Honeymoon Effect, and co-author with Steve Bhaerman of Spontaneous Evolution. Bruce received the 2009 prestigious Goi Peace Award (Japan) for his scientific contribution to world harmony. For more information, visit www.brucelipton.com. This is one of the most informative and transformative conversations I've had yet. You'll want to make a little extra time to listen to the full interview with Bruce. I tried breaking down many of the concepts and ideas he discussed. My intention is for you to realize that you have the knowledge and understanding of what's going on during this pandemic and that you have much more sovereignty, choice, and well-being accessible to you than perhaps realized. The conversation started with Bruce sharing that the biggest problem we face today in our world is another mass extinction. Of the past five world extinctions, all were created by natural events. The last one was 66 million years ago when a comet hit the earth and up-leveled the web of life, hence the extinction of the dinosaurs. This is the first time a massive extinction is at the hands of human behavior, harming and affecting the web of life. There are many examples of this and signs on the wall, including overfishing and polluting the water, which has left us with 90% fewer fish in the ocean. In 2048 there will be no fish. Our human civilization is responsible for this loss, and it's a major wake-up call. He talked about returning to the behavior of indigenous people --- being gardeners in the garden, not taking over the garden. We can change these behaviors, and I will describe ways of doing so further in the show notes. Dr. Lipton explained that there are two choices to focus on: 1. Fear, which will compromise your health, or 2. Ask yourself, what are we building to create something better? All energy is life. Are you going to waste your energy on fear or use it in a life-giving way to see what you can do to sustain yourself and the future? There are also two mechanisms in play, especially when there's a biological imperative or drive to survive when our lives are threatened. You will go into one of two protection modes: the external (adrenals), the fight/flight state, or the internal (immune system), which shuts down when under a lot of stress to save energy. Dr. Lipton helped to discover what is now called Epigenetics, which is the study of our control over genes. Epigenetics shows that less than 1% of all disease comes from genes. In other words, disease comes from stress. Today in the U.S., over 60% of the population has one chronic disease (which means almost all cases are stress-related), and 40% have two or more chronic diseases. These numbers are astounding, and when you realize how much you can do to alleviate stress and the correlation between stress and illness, it's difficult not to want to spring into action. It's also much more crucial to take exceptional care of yourself, especially during a pandemic. This means not eating industrial-farmed food, taking your supplements and vitamins, moving regularly, stopping watching the news and TV that puts you into a stress response, and connecting with others. Pay attention to your well-being, self-care, and letting go of stress in your life, as stress is the main cause of all illnesses. Being in community is a powerful healing agent...we were not meant to be isolated, which is so much of the issue with this pandemic and being quarantined. Another crucial component to avoiding illness is the importance of harmony with your body and changing your consciousness. You might be wondering how the heck to change your consciousness. Dr. Lipton breaks it down and gives some excellent resources and ways to do this. The most important aspect is understanding that we operate with our conscious and subconscious minds. To change your consciousness, you have to rewrite your programming and understand that you exist with two different minds: your conscious (prefrontal cortex), which is the creative, positive thinking aspect of ourselves, and the subconscious, which is just like a computer database and is highly imaginative and responds to hypnosis (theta brain waves). Most people don't know that 95% of your day is your subconscious on autopilot versus 5% is your conscious thinking mind, which has all the good wishes for you but is a minimal part of your day. The programming of our subconscious mind happens from birth to age seven. You will literally receive your programming from observing those around you; your parents, caretakers, family, community, teachers, etc. Because most programming is disempowering, changing your subco

S2 Ep 337How To Be a Boundary Boss with Terri Cole
Meet Terri Cole Terri Cole is a licensed psychotherapist, global relationship and empowerment expert, and the author of Boundary Boss-The Essential Guide to Talk True, Be Seen, and (Finally) Live Free. For over two decades, Terri has worked with many clients, including stay-at-home moms, celebrities, and Fortune 500 CEOs. She has a gift for making complex psychological concepts accessible and actionable so that clients and students achieve sustainable change. She inspires over 450,000 people weekly through her blog, social media platform, signature courses, and her popular podcast, The Terri Cole Show. Terri started out as head of a successful talent agency working with celebrities and high-profile leaders, yet felt something was missing. She kept seeking to feel happy and content but never quite landed there. Instead, Terri decided to pursue a new career by returning to school to become a psychotherapist. She realized that she was going through life not realizing how crucial boundaries are for a fulfilling life that works or that she was a 'high functioning co-dependent'. We unpacked both of these, how they're intertwined, and shared why you need to get yourself on the boundary bus and how you might also be a high-functioning co-dependent needing a tune-up. Tune in to learn more! What Are Real Boundaries First off, let's agree to put away any judgment or shame here. I've personally struggled in my own life with setting boundaries and high-functioning co-dependency, and the first step is always awareness. We'll shine the light here on what you might be doing that's hurting your happiness so you can become more aware. Terri defines boundaries as 'your own rules of engagement where you know what's ok and not ok for you. You are clear on your preferences, limits, and deal breakers and communicate them transparently with others. To be masterful and setting and keep boundaries, you've got to be cognizant of what they are, how to make sure others know them, and courageous enough to say something when and if they are broken. Most of us are indoctrinated to be 'good girls' and to be self-abandoning co-dependents, especially when it comes to boundaries. There are all kinds of reasons we're not fluent in boundaries. What matters is to learn how to stop self-abandonment. Terri shared it like this -- 'I am the storm, and my life is the boat.' Can you relate to any of this? I know I can! A New Kind of Co-Dependent Being co-dependent means being overly invested in the feeling state, outcomes, and situations of people in our life to the detriment of our own well-being (and on all levels) and not feeling we can ask for what we want. It is actually a form of control and typically affects the over-doers, over-achievers, and over-feelers. Many of us are what Terri calls High Functioning Co-dependents, meaning we're doing well in life, achieving our goals, and seeming to succeed. However, if you feel put upon, burned out, and resentful often, you probably are also an HFC. The good news is you can change, starting with awareness and forgiveness of yourself. There are things you can do to change this habit patterning that can affect your mindset, happiness, and health. Read on to hear what you can do to change for good. Here's How To Stop Being Co-Dependent These are the strategies you'll want to start implementing (I know it's uncomfortable at first) to create solid boundaries and kick the HFC habit. Learn to say no, and mean it. No is an answer in itself and is crucial to setting good boundaries. Stay on your side of the street and stop taking the other person's emotional temperature. Become a great listener and ask excellent questions. This will help you avoid being triggered or controlling and be curious. Get into mindfulness and meditation (daily) and start building your ability to pause and take the time you need to assess and react how you most desire. This means learning to tolerate discomfort but remember that you are not fragile. You have what it takes to develop the skills and behaviors to have great boundaries. The most loving thing you can do is to lovingly let people be autonomous and have full sovereignty in their life and take responsibility for yourself. We're letting go of pushing, forcing, and making things happen. We've just ended a Tiger year that made for unpredictable energy. We're wrapping up a cycle where Saturn moved from Capricorn into Aquarius, which is about restriction with socializing, think 'social distancing', and into a new cycle where Saturn is moving into Pisces. This shift into Pisces will be about taking mental and emotional health more seriously and pushing the boundaries of things like psychedelics and other kinds of drugs. What's Coming Ahead In 2023 This is the year of 'What If?' It's like the planet is getting one big IOS update. Rather than getting overwhelmed with choices, think about 'What If?' as a way to elevate, innovate and see new possibilities. Minding your mind and choosing how you see your life and the world will be essential. What will help you most is to remember to regulate your emotions by pausing, infusing compassion, and choosing how you want to respond. There will continue to be more paradoxes this coming year, and you get to decide how you will interpret life's events. Jupiter is in Aries until May 16th, and then it will go into Taurus, which will be good for financial means and the economy. This year is also a #7 year, which is about science meeting spirituality and making the invisible visible. Try to look at things from as many angles as possible. 2023 will also be a year for relationships to become more enjoyable and to put the drama to bed (Hallelujah to that)! Check out the AstroTwin's book 'Super Couple' to learn more about the impact of astrology on relationships, and more specifically, on your own relationships. 2023: An Overview Of The 12 Astrological Signs Aries: The focus was on gaining your independence, but now it's on security and making money through your passions and talents Taurus: You wanted more support and are now looking for more independence and freedom. The key is to release old beliefs and what doesn't serve you. Gemini: You were seeking more community and social structures, yet this year you are eager to have more solitude, time for reflection, and deep relationships Cancer: Achievement was your main focus; you felt 'large and in charge'. This year your focus is on teamwork and seeing that you can delegate and get out of your shell. Leo: Adventure was important, as was trying new things, yet this year you are seeking more structure, and you'll be more career driven. Virgo: Connection was important, as well as getting comfortable saying no. This year will be about using your boundaries as a way to experience more freedom and openness to experiment and travel. Libra: Partnership and evolution were your main focus last year, while this year will be about finding independence within your relationships and claiming your sovereignty in partnership. Expect to be more comfortable being vulnerable as well. Scorpio: Last year was about getting your routines in order and doing some deep soul-searching, whereas this year will be focused on partnerships and letting others in. Sagittarius: This past year was about the dichotomy of being a homebody and wanting to have fun and bring in glamor. This year you will be out in the world, ready to show your colors, be fully self-expressed, and want to have fun while taking care of yourself. Capricorn: Your focus was on comfort and adding in more fun. This year will be about bringing in excitement and creating opportunities for your home and family. Aquarius: This past year, you focused on structure and authority, as well as getting clear about your values. This year you'll be flexing your leadership muscles, making new friends, getting even more support and security, and finding a routine that feels grounded. Pisces: Last year, you were trailblazing in many ways. This year, however, will be about exploring from curiosity and focusing on monetizi

S2 Ep 335A Course in Miracles Made Easy with Alan Cohen
Meet Alan Cohen Alan Cohen, M.A., is the author of 30 popular inspirational books, including the best-selling A Course in Miracles Made Easy, the award-winning A Deep Breath of Life, and the classic Are You as Happy as Your Dog? He is a contributing writer for the New York Times #1 bestselling series Chicken Soup for the Soul, and his books have been translated into 32 foreign languages. His work has been featured on Oprah.com, in USA Today, The Washington Post, and 101 Top Experts. He is a featured presenter in the award-winning documentary Finding Joe, illuminating the teachings of renowned mythologist Joseph Campbell. A Course In Miracles Made Easy (or Easier) Alan's book A Course In Miracles Made Easy was one of the more powerful books I've read in that he explains the deep meaning and lessons of the course. In this interview, we got to the heart of why this channeled work has transformed millions of lives. Because so many wise words were shared in this conversation, I will share my favorites with you below. A suggestion is to start with A Course In Miracles workbook and take it one page (and day) at a time. Favorite takeaways: There is only one lesson, and that is that everything is a choice between love and fear. Ask yourself, then, what would the voice of love say here? A miracle is a shift in perspective. Even a little willingness can start a miracle. The spirit within me loves to hear the truth about itself. We are meant to be happy and are always worthy. We live in a world of illusion. The world we live in is a construct of false ideals, and I'm affected only by my thoughts. The power of love is the healing force in the Universe. When you feel stuck or in fear, ask: "Please help me see this differently!" Anger is fear under pressure. All negative emotions (jealousy, depression, despair, anger, etc.) are connected to fear. To get to the root level, ask yourself, "What's under the anger?" Fear is never justified in any form. Fear is not real. When afraid, you are responding to some illusion. If I trust, fear can't survive. Trust is the bedrock and our greatest teacher. And lastly, I loved this one as well --- "Fear knocked at the door, faith answered and no one answered." The Spirit and The Ego May you remember to decipher your spirit vs ego voice. Do this by asking yourself: What does the voice of fear/ego say? What does the voice of love say? Notice which feels better, and you will soon see how powerful the voice of love is. There is nothing you can do not to be loved by God. You are perfect, divine and always loved. S2 Ep 334How to Trust Your Vibes with Sonia Choquette
Meet Sonia Choquette Sonia Choquette is a NY Times bestselling author and international speaker, widely regarded as today's preeminent leader on the subject of intuition. Reawakening humanity's sixth sense is Sonia's mission, passion, and gift. Rising up from her family's challenging circumstances, she began offering intuitive readings to adults at the age of 12 and started her training with two master teachers in metaphysical arts and spiritual law. Since then, Sonia has traveled the globe for over four decades, presented on the world's biggest stages, and collaborated with leading spiritual teachers and media platforms to help millions reconnect with their innate intuitive intelligence. Sonia's approach to teaching intuition is one-of-a-kind. Instead of drawing from rigid scientific or spiritual dogma, she empowers her students to feel and listen to their own inner voices - and experience self-driven transformation through trust and reverence of the higher self. Sonia grew up with the rare gift of being taught to trust her intuition and where the 6th sense was considered the 1st sense to pay attention to. Sonia's mother was a Romanian refugee who lost her hearing but had her life saved by her own inner voice. Sonia started teaching about how to access your intuition by age 15 and shares in this interview tools, tips, and ways to learn how to listen to your intuition so that you can live your best life! Your Intuition Is A Super Power Take this in, my friend. Intuition literally means 'inner teacher'. We are all born with intuition and an inner teacher. Learning to listen to your intuition and treat it like your own personalized inner compass will change your life (and for some, it can literally save your life as well). To develop your intuition, you have to get out of your head and accept that your heart is an intelligent organ. We've talked about this before in my interviews with Dr. Debbie Rozman and Dr. Rollin McCrady from HeartMath. Our heart is 5,000 stronger than our other senses. Connecting to your heart intelligence and deeper inner wisdom is now scientifically proven and means what you've been told --- follow your heart. As Einstein said, the human spirit is the main gift, the mind is the servant. How To Tell If It's Your Intuition Sonia shared some easy ways to tell if it's your intuition or your mind. For starters, intuition is a feeling, not a lot of words. You'll notice that your intuition leaves your body and energy feeling more open, whereas if it's your intellect, you'll feel more constricted and contracted. Intuition will have a 'ringing true' quality and will resonate with your whole body. A great tool to really check and see is to speak it out loud and see if what you're picking up lands true. If it does, you'll feel it in your body and heart. Try This Game At Home To align your ego and spirit, Sonia shared a fun game that will reframe the way you see both your ego and your unruly mind so that you can have a more harmonious relationship within yourself. Think of your ego as a friendly barking dog that is a friend to your Spirit (the part of you that knows who you really are). Give a name to the dog and to your Spirit -- for example Sonia's dog is Feefee and her Spirit is named Bright Light. Talk to both parts of you in a playful and fun way to reframe the way you view how you interact with your ego and Spirit. This can alleviate the seriousness and frustration that is often present when we start looking at parts of ourselves we want to shift and change. Try it and let me know what you've named your dog and Spirit in the You-est You Facebook community. My Favorite Takeaways: Trust your vibes! The missing piece for most of us is to fully trust our intuition. When your intuition leads and your ego follows, you will have a magical life. Intuition is the communication of your divine most authentic self (what we call your 'You-est You'). When you listen to your intuition, your cells and body relax fully. Your body is a truth serum. (enough said) Your intuition isn't about finding the lost keys, it's about finding the lost sense of yourself. My hope and prayers are that this conversation reminds you that you are born with an intuition superpower that is here to guide you and that you don't need anyone else to validate you, or your inner wisdom. You're here not to just survive, but to grow, create, adapt, learn and enjoy your life. Keep focusing on trusting and attending to your intuition and watch how life becomes magical. From my me-est me, may you always remember to "trust your vibe", as Sonia says. I highly recommend any of her 30 books, including her newest book, "Trust Your Vibe". If you are ready for greater support to overcome self-doubt and stop your own internal 'not enough' voice so you can step into your genius and design your best life, connect with Julie to see if she is the right fit to coach and mentor you. S2 Ep 333A New Way To Heal Trauma with Bryan Hubbard
Meet Bryan Hubbard Bryan Hubbard has an extensive and versatile background as a journalist, editor, publisher, and author of two books, including Time-Light. He is also the publisher and co-editor of the international magazine What Doctors Don't Tell You, published in nine countries. Bryan developed his unique Time-Light therapy after suffering from chronic depression for more than a decade. His understanding that the depression was the result of an abusive childhood didn't lift it, but neither did the standard therapies, which at best provided only temporary relief. After spending years trying to understand what was driving the depression, one day he had an epiphany: the depression wasn't different from its cause. They were one and the same thing. From that initial breakthrough—which was summarised in the words: 'That to which you do not fully attend shall weigh you down' that suddenly came to him, although from where he has no idea—his understanding went deeper. Today, at the core of the Time-Light therapy is the realization that time is energy. Time is created by trauma, and time itself drives the depression, anxiety, and other so-called mental disorders that manifest from the trauma. Beyond even that, Time-Light explores how we are made up of three time-selves and the way they interact with each other. Ultimately, Time-Light is a spiritual therapy that returns us to our natural, and timeless, state. Learn more about Bryan and his work at time-light.co.uk. Ok, when I say this conversation went deep, I mean get ready to dive deeper than most interviews have ever gone (I'm talking 100 ft deep). Bryan shares powerful channeled wisdom that helped him heal from his depression and childhood trauma of being emotionally and verbally abused by his father. There are a lot of concepts discussed here that require you to hold a wider lens focus and an open mind. I'm hoping this discussion will help you realize and actualize your 'You-est You' and remember that you always have a choice to be empowered and change your life at any time. My prayer is that you can start using some of the techniques shared here as a way to release your 'past self' and heal your relationship with time. Adverse Childhood Experience & Trauma Bryan shared both about his own troubling childhood growing up believing he was unwanted and with very little joy or connection in his family. He suffered from a lack of self-worth and depression. We know from many studies that Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) can change the shape of the brain, negatively affect the amygdala and cortex, and even lead to premature death. He had tried therapy and SSRI's (anti-depressant drugs) and found neither to work well for him. During a down moment of despair and depression, he was struck by a powerful thought, what Bryan says felt like a purely channeled spiritual message. He heard the phrase "That which you don't attend to will weigh you down". Bryan shared that it felt like heard a missing divine law, like the 11th commandment. He decided to explore this deeper and ended up discovering that the issue is all around our relationship with time. As humans, we are not separate entities but instead are a creation of time. He realized that the problem or trauma and self are identical. The problem time expresses through us, is energy. Ok, you might be wondering what I mean here...hang in there, I'll explain more. Time is Energy Let's level the playing field here. A core concept we discussed is that time is energy and doesn't exist as we think it does. In other words, Bryan explained that in sum, time is a measurement of change. Time is relative to change. We don't see the world as it is, per se, but as we perceive it (paraphrasing a famous quote here by Anaïs Nin). We don't actually know what time is as time exists as energy. The 3 Aspects of Self Bryan explains how we have three aspects of ourselves as it relates to time. The Past Self - your past self is based on your psychological experiences, narrative (stories), and knowledge. Most people are living out their past selves in the present. The Present Self - who you are in this present moment, ideally free from past narratives and in connection with greater consciousness. The Potential 'No Time' Self - this is your full potentiality that is not related to time (think, your 'You-est You'). Your 'You-est You' is you, without fear, as a true free spirit. Healing With Time-Light Therapy The reality of who we are is that we're all a unified whole. Time-light therapy gently changes your relationship with time, which in essence changes your relationship with the trauma, or messenger of time. Bryan has a 21-day program with a new exercise each day to help change your relationship with time and yourself. We discussed some of the most potent exercises that you could start doing now, at home, on your own to help heal your past experience and experience of time. Here are a few of the techniques to start with: Try to not name or l

S2 Ep 331The Life-Changing Practice of Inner Bonding with Dr. Margaret Paul
Meet Dr. Margaret Paul Dr. Margaret Paul is a bestselling author of 12 published books, relationship expert, and co-creator of the powerful Inner Bonding® self-healing process. She has appeared on numerous radio and television shows, including Oprah. Margaret is a member of the Transformational Leadership Council. Dr. Paul has been recognized as a luminary and leader in the field of psychology and personal growth by Jack Canfield, Alanis Morissette, Neale Donald Walsch, and John Gray, to name a few. First off, I firmly believe that there is a crisis of self-abandonment and a lack of self-love and self-kindness. We dove deep into how to change this disturbing habit and belief system that can wreak havoc on your immune system and body. I know from my own experience that my own past health issues with my thyroid and immune system had everything to do with not knowing how to honor my feelings or take care of myself. I have no doubt that so many illnesses and physical ailments are due to a lack of self-care, self-love, self-kindness, and ultimately self-abandonment. You will learn in this conversation the powerful process of Inner Bonding, one that Dr. Margaret has used with thousands of patients (including herself), and how to use this healing process with yourself. I highly recommend you get her book, The Inner Bonding Workbook, and make your own Inner Bonding work a real priority. If you need any proof, watch Dr. Margaret on my YouTube channel (https://youtube.com/juliereisler) and you will see the pure joy and love emanating out of her and how kind the years have been through this work (seriously, you won't believe that she is 83). What Does Self-Abandonment Really Mean Self-abandonment is when you are taking care of everyone else but yourself. Most of us are trained to abandon ourselves because our culture, family of origin, religion, or surroundings teach us that it is selfish to care for ourselves first. You can't do this without experiencing physical symptoms. Self-care is actually the opposite of selfishness because it's about taking responsibility for yourself and your well-being. You then take yourself out of the victim mode. Blaming others for your well-being and issues is actually selfish. Taking care of yourself relieves the burden of others taking care of you. Get the difference? This is a powerful distinction. The Inner Bonding process is all about moving out of our head focus into a body focus so we can learn to truly love ourselves, and receive guidance from our Higher Self for the rest of our life. The 6-Step Process to Inner Bonding: Be willing to be present with your feelings, including those of loneliness, pain, sadness, and despair. You'll go back to being present and take responsibility for your feelings so that you can get out of your head and into your body and heart. Breathe into your heart and be open to learning about how to love yourself. In this step, you will start to gain access to your higher self, when your frequency is high enough. Keep your body clean with healthy, nourishing, clean organic foods. Keep your thoughts clear and clean as well. Eating well is loving to your body and your whole self. Because Spirit exists at such a high frequency, the more you are in alignment with this energy level, the more you can get 'at will divine guidance'. Imagine a wiser part of yourself (500 years older) full of power, truth, and wisdom, and invite that higher self part of you in. This is the 'loving adult' that lives within each of us. In doing this you'll develop new neural pathways in the brain. Breathe back into your feelings. For example, if you felt numb and depressed, go back into those feelings and imagine these feelings as your inner child. Ask this part of you: 'How am I treating you? What am I telling you?' We caused our own self-abandonment, so this step is crucial for taking responsibility and discovering how we're abandoning ourselves. This is connecting to our younger self, our 'wounded ego self', which is also Character 2 for those who have read Whole Brain Living by Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor, or heard either of our two interviews. To listen to either interview, go to: https://youtu.be/gox_ZIwZdpk or https://youtu.be/_LisJ6vFwEk. There's always a belief, usually about fear, to better understand and discover. Dialogue with your higher guidance about your false beliefs. Ask this part of yourself: 'What is loving to me? What is in my highest good right now?' Take loving action (the more you do this, the more you're programming yourself to be kind and loving to yourself in thought and action) Go back to how you are feeling --- if it's a loving action, you'll feel relief and you won't feel shame or fear. Inner Bonding is about knowing you are never alone and that you can access your Higher Guidance at any time. Your guidance is ALWAYS there, my friend. My favorite quote from our conversation (which brought tears to my eyes) was this: "We're on the planet to evolve our ability to l

S2 Ep 330Radical Radiance with Savor Beauty CEO, Angela Jia Kim
Meet Angela Jia Kim Angela Jia Kim is a former concert pianist and founder of Savor Beauty + Spa, a Manhattan-based skincare and spa brand inspired by Korean beauty rituals. She's also the author of Radical Radiance: 12 Weeks of Self-Love Rituals to Manifest Abundance, Beauty, and Joy and the creator of the Savor Beauty Planner, a self-care guide that helps women manifest beauty, brilliance, and balance. To get a copy of Angela's beautiful book (and free gifts), go to radicalradiance.com. I loved this conversation so much in part because Angela is so real, genuine, and full of humility. This is a woman with a passion that was her paycheck --- this passion literally fueled her business and gave her the desire and dedication to build her beauty and self-care hustle into a thriving and well-known business. But, this did not happen overnight! Angela shares her empowering story of how it took thirteen years to turn her dream into a 7 figure operation that is fed by love, collaboration, an abundant mindset, and feminine energy. You are going to love Angela and her inspiring ways to honor yourself and your business (if you're an entrepreneur) in a whole new radiant way. Listen to Your Business, Trust Your Gut Angela shared authentically about feeling envy and frustration in the early days when she was in debt and she could see a peer thriving in a similar business with zero financial concerns. It was then she decided that someday she would have a business that took care of her. She is also committed to respecting and listening to her business (which she refers to as a 'goddess of abundance') because it will whisper hints of where it wants to grow. Just like nature, humans, and all living things, your business will naturally want to expand and grow. Sometimes this means making hard choices, like letting go of people that may not be aligned with your values or changing your business model when it seems impossible. What's most important is to trust these inklings, whispers, and gut feelings and have faith while taking inspired action. The Spiritual Way to 7 Figures Angela grew her business in an organic and spiritual way, and it didn't happen all at once. It took 10+ years to build the kind of traction and recognition that she now enjoys today. "Good things take time!" It's important to change your perspective and expectations. Find the joy in what you're doing now, live in abundance now (abundance is redefined below) and lean into the feminine energy of trusting your intuition. We give birth to our business --- it wants to grow, learn and expand. Listen and nurture it so that it can take care of you. A New Definition of Abundance Abundance refers to everything from having an abundance of love, food, connection, resources, and love for what you do. I loved Angela's new definition that looks at abundance in an even more holistic way. She defines it simply as, "Be, Do, Receive". Let's unpack that further. Be - This is about setting time for being, like meditation, visualization, visioning, and space to be. Fill yourself up with abundant affirming statements like "I am glowing. I am radiant. I am abundant". And if you don't feel that yet, you could say "I feel glowing. I am excited to feel abundant. I love feeling radiant." Do - This is a way to express your soul and creativity, not just about doing things to be productive. By doing what is aligned with your being (visualization, meditation, etc) you are able to manifest what matters most to you. You want to nourish to flourish (find self-care activities like yoga, massages, or facials), pull out the weeds (find things you don't love to do and get them done), plant new seeds (reach out to people, network and connect at a heart level) and get ready for miraculous manifestations. Receive - Take in and savor the lessons, gifts, and opportunities for appreciation, collaboration, helping others, and acts of self-love Following this 'Be, Do, Receive' recipe is how you bring abundance into your life. My favorite quote: "How you treat your skin is how you treat your soul." Yup, a mic drop moment if I may say so myself. Share your heart flare and the biggest takeaway from my conversation with Angela in the You-est You Facebook community, in this episode on YouTube or send me an email. How will you increase your focus on her abundance equation to "Be, Do, Receive"? And remember, it takes time to build something beautiful that will take care of you. S2 Ep 329Make Money Online with Morals with Lisa Johnson
Meet Lisa Johnson Lisa Johnson is a multi-seven-figure Global Business Strategist who makes 90% of her money through passive or semi-passive income streams. In one launch alone during the global pandemic in 2021, she made $3 million in a week - earning $1.2m in the first hour of sales with continued success in 2022 when she made $2.5m in one week. Her business made over $10m in the first five years. After a tough childhood spent in social housing, Lisa went on to have successful careers in law, banking, and the entertainment industry. Her background in overcoming obstacles has helped mold her into a bold, straight-talking coach, who is never afraid to be an authentic and outspoken truth-teller. She took herself from $35,000 in debt to a successful entrepreneur making millions and helping thousands of people in just five years. Lisa has over 50,000 followers across social media and a number one business podcast, Making Money Online which has been listened to across 119 countries and has over 150,000 downloads to date. She has spoken on the BBC's Women's Hour and has been featured in national newspapers and magazines including The Telegraph, Psychologies, The Guardian, and Fast Company. A feature on Lisa in Forbes magazine garnered over a quarter of a million views in one week. Lisa is a huge believer that everyone can become a success no matter their background, is an ambassador for the charity BulliesOut, and is known for her anti-bullying campaigning online. Lisa lives in Bedfordshire, UK with her husband and twin sons but coaches around the globe. Lisa is one of the most genuine and authentic women business owners I know. Her story is going to inspire and empower you to realize that your strengths are to be honored and that you can do, be or have anything. The bigger reminder here is to honor your own values, integrity, and morals. I'm here for that, and know you are too! From Welfare to Wealth Lisa grew up on welfare and struggled throughout her childhood and teen years being bullied because she was poor. While this kind of traumatic experience could have deterred anyone, Lisa used it as fuel for her inner fire to become prosperous and follow her talents. She talked about starting a banking job making decent money and then deciding to get into wedding planning in the UK to supplement her income. She had twin boys, had recently gotten divorced, and realized she needed more money to support her children. She racked up a bit of debt and realized she needed to learn about business, inside and out. A year or so later she got back into the wedding business and started increasing her revenue, but started to notice what she was really good at was explaining to others what to do to make money using strategy. She loved teaching and helping other business owners and soon pivoted to start her business as a global business strategist. Redefining Success In Lisa's first year as a business strategist, she made close to $220,000 working 80 hours/week, doing many one-to-one sessions with clients. She realized after taking a hard look at her business and the model she was working in, that she actually doesn't like one-to-one work and prefers one-to-many (such as groups, masterminds, etc). This was eye-opening for Lisa, and she decided to shift gears and change her business model completely. What I think is fascinating is that most people would get scared and worried about losing clients, money, and success, but Lisa leaned into her strength and what was true for her. She scaled her business, worked 30 hours/month, and made $2 million dollars in year two in this updated model that was in alignment with her energy and strengths. We talked a lot about the power of both redefining success and what business model (or way of working) is best for your interests and how you are designed. Here are some of the key points, and my favorite question from Lisa's wisdom on success: 1) The question to ask yourself is "What does success mean to me?" 2) You need to find a business model that is true for you and works for your favorite way to be of service. That might mean doing only 1:1 sessions, 1 to many, or a hybrid...or something else. Don't just follow what others are doing. Stop, pause and ask yourself what's the best model for you. 3) Tap into your strengths and use them as your guidepost! 4) You'll never feel fulfilled until you know and experience your version of success. Get clear on what that means for you. 5) Stop chasing money, instead choose happiness. Enjoy the in-between! Morals over Money When in doubt, choose morals over money. Lisa shared her story of turning down a pricey trip to Neckar Island with a group of well-known entrepreneurs after realizing it was not aligned with her values. This meant losing money but not compromising her morals. Let your values be your guide and remember that the goal is not to get external validation, but to make a bigger impact. One of my fave quotes: "We all have the ability to make a rip

Today, John Demartini has helped billions of people to change their beliefs, stories, and habits to fully live out their values and ultimately love their life. Tune in to hear the 13 most important questions to ask yourself (honestly) to find out if you're living out your values. As John said, every human being lives moment by moment with a set of priorities and a hierarchy of values that are specific to them. John then created a Values Criteria (found on his website - I took it and it's awesome) that will help you know what your actual values are. If you are aligned with your top values, you will excel and wake up with a momentum that's unstoppable. Your life demonstrates what you value. The Values Criteria These are the 13 questions to ask yourself to see how you are (or aren't) living according to your life values. Space: What are the top 3 items in your space where you spend the most time? Time: Where are the top 3 places where you hang out or spend your time? Energy: What are the top 3 things that give you energy? Money: Where are the top 3 places you spend your money? Organized: What are the top 3 areas with the most order or where you're most organized? Disciplined: Where are the top 3 areas you are most spontaneously disciplined? What are the top 3 things you're thinking about most in how you'd love your life to be that's showing evidence of coming true? What are the top 3 things you visualize about how you want your life to be that's showing evidence of being true? What are the top 3 things you have internal dialogues about that you'd love your life to be like that are coming true? What top 3 conversations do you keep coming back to and want to converse about? What are the top 3 things that inspire you most and what's in common with the top 3 people who inspire you most? Whare are the 3 most consistent and persistent goals that show evidence of coming true? What are the top 3 things you spontaneously want to feed your mind with? Look for the patterns in these questions. Be honest with yourself and give yourself permission to do what's true for your 'You-est You'. S2 Ep 327Why Self-Care Isn't Selfish
Meet Julie Reisler Julie Reisler is a certified master life coach with over ten years of coaching experience and a master's degree in health & wellness coaching from the Maryland University of Integrative Health. Julie is the founder of the Life Designer® Coach Academy, a certification for life coaches, and a professor at Georgetown University. She is also the host and founder of the You-est You® Podcast, which is now in over 175 countries with 300+ episodes, and the author of Get a PhD in YOU. Julie has been featured in Forbes magazine, MindBodyGreen, Bustle, The Chopra Center and Thrive Global. She is also a prominent teacher, course creator, and guide on the popular app, Insight Timer. To learn more about Julie and how she might support you on your You-est You journey, go to juliereisler.com. Let's get one thing straight here, you are the one living with yourself for hopefully a very long time. Taking care of yourself; mind, body, emotionally, and spiritually is one of the kindest things you can do for, yes, yourself, but also for others around you and the world. No one will ever be able to care for you the way you can, and although it might feel awkward at first, or even wrong, don't let that deter you from making self-care a priority. Here's why...you were probably raised in a society, culture, family, or maybe even religion that told you spending time on yourself is selfish. Like many of us, you might have beliefs and thoughts about the importance of putting others first. We're often taught that to be a good person is to put others first. I'm going to share why this is faulty thinking and can lead you down the path of overwhelm, burnout, and even chronic illness. Self-care is Self-love The bottom line is that the more you take care of yourself, the more you have to help others. The more aligned, grounded, hopeful, healthy, and well you feel, the more you have to give these qualities to others you love and care about. As Oprah shares in many of her motivational talks, your cup must runneth over so you can give from a full cup, not an empty one. Redefining Selfish Ok, let's come clean here. How many of you feel guilty even seeing the word selfish? I'm guessing most of you felt some pang of discomfort reading that word. Let's agree that our society has created a negative connotation around being selfish. It's used in arguments to suggest that you care about yourself more than your spouse, partner, child, parent, or friend. Somehow you are deemed a 'bad' person by focusing on your own needs or desires and wants first. There is an inherent negative judgment wrapped up in this word. Being called selfish is usually not what we're aiming to hear or be associated with. Here's the secret, everyone by definition is 'selfish' because you can only come from your own viewpoint, from your view within yourself. You by default have a personalized filter that sees the world by the sum total of your past experiences. This is natural and part of how we're designed. I'm not saying that you should care only about yourself and live a myopic existence. What I am conveying, is that in order to give fully and be a contribution to your family, friends, careers, society, and the world, you need to take care of your full self; mind, body, and soul. As defined, selfishness can be described as being concerned excessively or exclusively with oneself (Merriam-Webster dictionary). In contrast, I propose that the word self-full could be defined as concerned with or responsible for the care of yourself; mind, body, and soul. It's important to be filled up and feel full within yourself. Not full of yourself, but full within you. No one else, not your significant other or best friend, can do that or give that to you, nor are they responsible for your fulfillment. Why Self-Care is NOT Selfish Here's the other irony about being selfish, and read this carefully. The. Most. Important. Relationship. Is. The. One. With. Yourself. No matter what anyone else tells you, you can't argue with the fact that you will be with yourself for the rest of your life. You can't give away what you don't have. If you are focused only on giving to everyone else, then you become depleted, frustrated, annoyed, cranky, and low energy. Giving from a place of depletion does not lead to loving acts of kindness, service, or being your truest, you-est you. First, you must give yourself permission. By giving yourself the permission and time to engage in self-loving acts, you are giving those around you permission to do this as well. The same is also conversely true. Become Full in Yourself Here's why being "self-full" is good for you: Picture this scenario: you know how it goes though; you get up and snooze, only to have enough time to get your teeth brushed, a shower (if you're lucky) and your children's lunch in their bag (if they're lucky) with breakfast on the go in the car. It is on those kinds of days, that being self-full is that much more important. I know in tho

S2 Ep 326How To Live in the Genius Zone with Gay Hendricks
Meet Gay Hendricks Gay Hendricks has been a leader in the fields of relationship transformation and body-mind transformation for more than 45 years. After earning his Ph.D. from Stanford in 1974, Gay served as a Professor of Counseling Psychology at the University of Colorado for 21 years. He has written over 40 books, including bestsellers such as Five Wishes, The Big Leap, Conscious Loving, and Conscious Loving Ever After, (the last two co-authored with his co-author and mate for more than 35 years, Dr. Kathlyn Hendricks). He is also a mystery novelist, with a series of five books featuring the Tibetan-Buddhist private detective, Tenzing Norbu, as well as a new mystery series featuring a Victorian-era London detective, Sir Errol Hyde. His book Conscious Luck reveals eight ways to change your fortune through the power of intention. Gay has appeared on more than 500 radio and television shows, including Oprah, CNN, CNBC, 48 HOURS, and others. His latest book is The Genius Zone. Gay Hendricks has been a mentor from afar for years, and it was such a joy to interview him and share his incredible wisdom, stories, and magic. Get your earbuds, get out there on your walk or drive, and get ready to be wildly inspired. There were so many nuggets of wisdom and deep, honest sharing. I got you covered here with notes. Adding Magic To Your Life Gay Hendricks grew up with his grandparents and mother, as his father tragically died before he was born. He grew up with a lot of anger and frustration that got pushed down with food, sweets, and smoking. Gay shared that the Universe is always teaching you a lesson; it's just whether you're listening or not. He got tapped on the shoulder by the Universe when he was 24 years old in 1969. Gay was living in NH in an apartment, in a relationship and life he didn't like, and was carrying a good 150+ extra pounds. He fell on the ice and had a two-minute experience that changed his life. For the first time in his life, he could see all the levels of himself --- all the emotional layers that he hadn't felt, like anger, sadness, and eventually, in the middle was pure consciousness. He decided that day and committed to a new way of doing life. He made a declaration to himself and the Universe and committed to feeling this state of pure consciousness all the time, but without needing to fall down. He chose foods that fed pure consciousness (like blueberries instead of cheeseburgers, donuts, and blueberry pancakes) and committed to honoring his mind and body. Later that next day, he was invited to another event that also would change the course of his life. His friend took him to an event with a former Harvard professor who had gone to India and come back enlightened. He got to meet and hear Ram Dass in person and was turned on to meditation. This was just the beginning of the magic that has been a blessing in his life (like finding his wife Kathlyn) since he committed to being honest, taking responsibility, and honoring his creativity. Living in the Genius Zone Here's one of my favorites from Gay Hendricks in our conversation --- he said that 'Genius is contagious'. We are all meant to live in the genius zone. This is the zone where you are doing what you love without a sense of time lapsing while honoring your unique abilities. Gay Hendricks shared that within 20 years, he went from spending 10% of his time in the genius zone to 100% of his time in this zone, and because of this shift. And now, life feels like one continued blessing and gift. I realized that in this conversation, being your You-est You inherently means aligning and living in the genius zone. Some ways to discover your genius zone is to ask yourself what you love to do, where you lose a sense of time doing what you love, and what your specialized and unique abilities are. For example, thanks to Gay, I realized my genius zone is doing my podcast -- both in interviewing guests, sharing my thoughts, and creating a show that changes lives. I'd love to hear what you think your genius zone is! We all have them! Share in the You-est You Facebook community, or send me an email. The Upper Limit Problem Gay Hendricks goes into great depth about a ULP, the Upper Limit Problem. In sum, this is when you sabotage yourself when things go well. Gay teaches how to expand your capacity and override this pattern so that you learn how to experience greater lengths of joy and good. One of the ways to do this is to use what he calls the Ultra Success Mantra (USM), which I have on my desk and say daily. The USM is: "I expend in abundance, success, and love as I inspire others around me to do the same." What's important is that you are not only expanding the good within you but also creating opportunities to do the same for others. Change Your Relationship to Time If you're like me and you're sick and tired of being sick and tired that there's not enough time, ever, then listen up. Gay Hendricks talked about what he calls Einstein time versus New

S2 Ep 325Secrets for Healing Your Gut with Sara Keough
Meet Sara Keough Sara Keough MS, CNS, LDN, is an "Eco-Nutritionist". She began her career in ecological work in her home state of Colorado and now practices as a clinical nutritionist in Maryland. She supports patients with a wide variety of health conditions, including digestive issues, autoimmune disorders, heart disease, diabetes, and metabolic disorders. Educating patients on the value of nutrient-dense foods and rewilding their microbiomes by consuming food from local, regenerative farmers is vitally important in her practice as this is an essential component of their healing process. Sara utilizes advanced functional testing in her practice to address the root cause of her patient's issues and to nourish their inner ecosystem. Sara Keough has been helping me on my journey with healing my thyroid, and I'm glad to share her wisdom, perspective, and knowledge to help you with your health and well-being. As always, please take what you like and leave the rest. The Body Can Heal Let's first start by remembering that our bodies are incredible at self-healing. They are designed to heal and be restored to complete health. Knowing this is crucial, especially if you are working on healing yourself from any kind of condition. It's crucial to affirm and know how powerful your body is. I personally believe that autoimmune disorders are intricately connected to a lack of self-love and self-compassion. Through my inner healing work, I've been learning that one of the most important things I can do is put my self-care first and prioritize loving myself. This might feel awkward and problematic at first, but if you stay with me and put your health first, it will be one of the most important things you can do for your health, well-being, and life. What Is Your Gut Microbiome? Healing your gut comes down to the microbiome. Think of the gut microbiome as a diverse garden. You want lots of variety of plants, flowers, and crops without weeds or dry soil. What's happening is that for many, we're decimating the beneficial, healthy species because of overconsumption of sugar, processed foods, antibiotics and chemicals, and toxins. Over time this can create fungal, yeast, or bacteria overgrowth. Ideally, you want a gut biome that's a flourishing ecosystem in harmony and full of diversity. Secrets for Healing Your Gut Some basic ways for healing your gut are chewing your food thoroughly, eating fermented foods, and increasing your stomach acid and enzymes with good probiotics, prebiotics, and digestive tonics. Sara Keough shares her favorite digestive tonic, which is made with: 1 quart of water 1/4 c of Apple Cider Vinegar 1/4 c of lemon juice 1/4 c of raw honey (or don't add if you're sensitive to sugar) and grated ginger root. This tonic is an excellent way to aid your digestion and help with gut healing. You'll want to drink 4 oz with every meal and keep a fresh batch weekly. Sara also recommended supporting your local farmers and buying local whenever possible. S2 Ep 324How To Be Loving with Danielle LaPorte
Meet Danielle LaPorte Danielle LaPorte is a member of Oprah's SuperSoul 100, a group who, in Oprah Winfrey's words, "is uniquely connecting the world together with a spiritual energy that matters." The former director of a future studies think tank in Washington, DC, where she managed a team creating global scenarios, she now speaks about the intelligence of the heart. Her most recent book, How To Be Loving: When Your Heart Is Breaking Open and Our World Is Waking Up, is also an Audiobook + eBook with a companion deck and journal––to be released in October 2022. Danielle is also the author of The Fire Starter Sessions, The Desire Map, and White Hot Truth, and producer of dozens of meditation kits and online programs for spiritual support. Danielle is the creator of the Heart Centered Membership and the Heart Centered Leaders Program, with 400+ leaders in 30 countries hosting conversation circles, retreats, and workshops in all kinds of communities and businesses. Her podcast, With Love, Danielle, often ranks in iTunes' top 10 for wellness. Most of her offerings—from the Heart Centered Membership to her online classes—are on a pay-what-you-choose basis. Named one of the Top 100 Websites for Women by Forbes, millions of people a month visit DanielleLaPorte.com. Marianne Williamson refers to Danielle "as a bright light." V (formerly known as Eve Ensler) calls her "a force field of energy, wonder, humor, and love." Her charities of choice are Ally Global Foundation, helping survivors of human trafficking to rebuild their lives (@allyglobal), Trees Sisters'Sisters' reforestation projects (@treesisters_official), and VDay, a movement to end violence against women and girls (vdayorg). Danielle LaPorte lives in Vancouver, BC. You can find her on most places on social media @daniellelaporte. This book is so incredibly wise, and you'll want to listen more than once. We discussed Danielle's newest book, How To Be Loving, published by Sounds True, in great depth especially focusing on the tricky parts we often don't accept, allow or embrace. Put on your seatbelt and get ready for a powerful journey within… Loving The Ego The old way of viewing the ego is to see it as something to banish, get rid of, override or overcome. I loved Danielle LaPorte's approach and her focus on loving it all, including your ego. Yes, your ego needs and deserves love too. As she said, "I created it. And as the mother of it all, I am responsible for loving and caring for every aspect of myself." Danielle does this by telling her ego that she's not leaving or abandoning this part of herself, and as she said, ''I got you.'' This means having a conversation with ourselves that is loving, compassionate, and unconditional. This means loving your insecurities and anything you wish you could change. Learn to love it as it is. Accept it as it is. Thank this part of you, as it brings the opportunity to love yourself even more. Woah, that's a big reframe if I've ever seen one. Try it, and let me know what you think and feel. What is it like to truly call in love for every single aspect of yourself? Self-Improvement Gone Bad The issue for many of us steeped in the self-improvement world is the incessant desire to constantly evolve, awaken and become enlightened. There's nothing wrong with wanting to grow, but this non-stop desire can actually be the ego, or the spiritual ego, incognito. Underneath the striving is this belief that you need to do these things to be worthy in God's eyes. Danielle LaPorte explains a better and more loving way to see this. You were born whole. This is liberating because it means you don't have to push, strive and work hard for worthiness. You are already worthy because you were born. In reality, what we're also talking about is the energy from which you're coming. It's more energizing to come from a celebratory focus versus striving. But in the end, self-compassion is the whole point. Be compassionate to everyone, including yourself. You can do this by identifying with your light and heart. Over and over again. Power Redefined I love how Danielle La Porte talks about and explains receptivity. In essence, the way that we receive the cues from the Universal mind is through receptivity. The way to being receptive is through stillness and calming down your nervous system, mind, and overall being. Silence and stillness become your best allies as they help you to slow down and tap into the universal intelligence waiting for you to pay attention. As you connect to your divine downloads, you tap into a power that is beyond your mind, ego, and limited understanding. This is power redefined and it starts with being receptive. As Danielle said, "the light WANTS to come in." We then need to learn to pause, be our own guru, and allow for the light to come in. The Secret To It All The most important ingredient not to be overlooked is the power of forgiveness. Here are a few powerful questions to ponder as they relate to forgiveness: Who c

S2 Ep 323Learn How To Stop Feeling 'Not Enough' with Julie Reisler
Meet Julie Reisler Julie Reisler is a mentor and certified master life coach with over ten years of coaching experience and a master's degree in health & wellness coaching from the Maryland University of Integrative Health. Julie is the founder of the Life Designer® Coach Academy, a lifestyle coaching certification. She is also the host and founder of the You-est You® Podcast, which is in over 175 countries, and the author of Get a PhD in YOU. Julie has been featured in Forbes magazine, MindBodyGreen, The Chopra Center, and Thrive Global. She is also a prominent teacher, course creator, and guide on the popular app Insight Timer and is on the faculty at Georgetown University in their graduate wellness coach program. To learn more about Julie and how she might support you on your You-est You journey, go to juliereisler.com. I see you and our growing 'You-est You' community as a movement and way to encourage one another to feel safe enough to express yourself fully. I believe when enough of us can create an environment where others can be their truest selves --- feeling seen, heard, and known at the deepest level, we will have a much safer and more empowering world. It starts, of course, with doing the inner work within to see where we can be more loving and kind to ourselves. In this solo episode, I shared my struggles with the feeling 'I'm Not Enough' syndrome and how comparing myself to others has never worked well. Letting your inner critic drag you down. I'm hoping this talk will inspire you to look within your 'You-est You' so that you can start changing the way you see and feel about your miraculous self. Please let me know what resonates and as always, take what you love and release the rest. Feeling 'I'm Not Enough' Syndrome I can't be the only one here who has experienced the awful feeling 'not enough' syndrome. It happens anytime you somehow measure yourself to someone else or an unrealistic ideal. Allowing your inner critic to corrupt your thoughts and make you feel lesser than others. The problem is that if you're living your life from the lens of "I'm not enough", "It's not enough", or any aspect of not being, having, or doing enough, you will always come up short. Over time you'll create patterns and habits of thought that have you believe that nothing you do is enough and that something is off and wrong with you. As Ben Hardy shared in a recent interview about his book, The Gap and The Gain, co-authored with Dan Sullivan, staying in the gap means consistently looking for where you fall short and how you compare to others. With this outlook, you'll never win. Yet so many of us do this (myself included). Rather, if you're focused on the gain, you'll be looking at how you're doing compared to where you were before or how you've grown and transformed for the better. Basically, we're talking about going from a lack mindset to a growth mindset. You have to rewire your brain for success. I hope that you'll better understand that your beliefs about 'not being enough' are untrue and what is needed is a re-routing of your thought patterns. My intention is to give you tools, strategies, and ways to start a whole new way of seeing yourself and your life from an empowering lens. How To Overcome 'Not Enough' Mean Inner Critic Before I share these powerful tips to stop the mean inner critic, you have to become aware of it. I want you to get a notepad or place to jot down your thoughts and to track your 'not enough' self-talk for a full day. If you can do this for a week, even better, but best to start with a day and see what you find. It's important for you to get how prominent this voice is and what it's actually saying. For example, mine might say something like "that's great you had 20 people at your workshop, but if you were really making an impact, you would have had 100." Oh yeah, she's mean and incessant and constantly comes up with ways to make me feel like I'm not good enough. This voice might also tell me that I should have more social media followers, more toned arms, or compare me to others in my industry, even though we are all unique snowflakes. How about you? What does your 'not enough' voice sound like? I promise not to leave you hanging. Below are my 3 ways to turn this feeling 'not enough' boat around, with a bonus 4th tip because, sigh, 3 were 'not enough'. Pro-tip, you've got to be able to laugh at and with yourself. 1. To Compare Is To Despair I remember hearing this in a 12-step meeting almost 20 years ago. I thought to myself, that's nice, 'to compare is to despair,' yet I didn't fully get it until I really marinated with what this means. I can remember doing this at a young age when I'd be in my leotard for ballet or my swimsuit for the swim team. I let my inner critic drown everything else out. I compared myself to all the other girls in class or on my team and always came up short. I felt less graceful, less athletic, less coordinated, less in shape...I just felt less, less, less. T

S2 Ep 322Learn How to Roar Like a Goddess with Acharya Shunya
Meet Acharya Shunya Acharya Shunya is a truth-teller who facilitates authenticity, self-remembrance, and divine feminine pathways to awakening within. The first female head of her 2,000-year-old Indian spiritual lineage, Shunya reinterprets and re-contextualizes ancient teachings for modern times, empowering people everywhere to lead fearless, fulfilled, and enlightened lives. She is president of the Awakened Self Foundation and founder of Vedika Global, Inc. in California. She is the author of the bestselling books Ayurveda Lifestyle Wisdom and Sovereign Self and her newest book, Roar Like a Goddess. She lives in Northern California. Let me tell you, my friend, that this conversation brought me to tears. Acharya Shunya is a powerful example of a pure embodiment of the divine feminine and goddess energy and is full of cosmic wisdom and universal truths. I'm so excited to share much of our conversation here. I hope you'll tune in -- you'll certainly be touched, moved, and inspired. Perhaps you'll be moved to tears too, like yours truly. Enjoy! Celebrating the Divine Feminine Acharya Shunya was taught early on by her grandfather, a master teacher, that she would head the lineage even though she is a female. She was told this at nine years old and learned at a young age that this would be her path and dharma, regardless of her gender. She would be the first head of her lineage in over 2,000 years and begin to change the ancient custom and weave in the power of bringing in the divine feminine and teachings of the Goddess. Unconditional Self-Respect Acharya Shunya teaches in her book, Roar Like A Goddess, that part of our learning is to see ourselves like the divine, which means creating non-negotiable respect and safety for ourselves. It's important to remember that even in the darkest moments, we are connected to the divine light. Our goal is not just to speak and proclaim our self-respect but to know it and embody this unconditional self-love and respect. The Power of Shakti There is only one Goddess force in the Vedic tradition, which is called Shakti. Shakti in Sanskrit means power. This all-encompassing feminine power invites, rather than destroys, builds rather than tears down. The three aspects of Shakti are exemplified through the three Goddesses: Durga, Saraswati, and Lakshmi. Acharya Shunya teaches how to connect to the powerful energy, lessons, and wisdom of each Goddess. Here's a quick overview to give you a taste of their universal teachings for a beautiful life: 1) Durga - Durga gives you permission to own your power and shed fear. She is all about getting in touch with your power within and expressing what Shunya calls 'righteous rage'. This is a highly conscious rage that can stem from years and lifetimes of being marginalized and overlooked. Durga is about cutting through fear. 2) Saraswati - Saraswati is all about knowingness and discernment. This energy asks you to discern what is a minor matter and/or what is a world manner. She helps you to convert trauma into growth for greater transformation and healthy, full expression of your potentiality. 3) Lakshmi - Lakshmi is all about the heart, love, playfulness, rest, and prosperity. She is anchored in conscious behavior, not just a scripted way of being. Her energy reminds us to play, connect to our sexuality and sensuality, find balance and enjoy the fullness of life. Roar Like a Goddess It's time to connect to the Goddess energy, frequency, and wisdom. First, you must roar with courage. Next, you must roar with fullness, balance, and abundance. We all need to roar with healing, higher consciousness, and compassion. May you be inspired by Acharya Shunya's example of what's possible for women and all of humanity, and may you roar like a Goddess! Final Thoughts Acharya Shunya shines her light for all of us to see the goddess within us. It is the goddess energy where we find the courage to create non-negotiable respect and safety for ourselves. Be sure to check out her latest book Roar Like a Goddess. If you are in the coaching, healing, or service space, you might not realize that the tried and true ways to grow a coaching business are not the same as product-based companies. Eme and I chatted all about this to give you the tips, strategies, and secrets we've both learned along the way to help you in your own marketing and growth efforts. We both feel strongly that it's imperative for you to have the tools and confidence needed to thrive and be an even greater light in the world because the world sure does need you. If you've struggled with getting out there and becoming more visible and influential in your space, this episode is for you. If you still want greater support after listening, please let me know, and we'll follow up with you about the next launch of Monetize Your Purpose within the Life Designer® Coach Academy. As always, take what you like and leave the rest. 3 Secrets to Building a Coaching Business Secret #1 You're not in a typical business. Focus on building authentic relationships more than you would in any kind of product-based business. We discussed what this means when you have a coaching business and how to create organic and genuine connections with others you can collaborate, partner with, and sometimes work with. If you follow the typical marketing roadmap, you will end up overwhelmed and exhausted. Secret #2 Speaking of overwhelm, if you find yourself in overwhelm often, you are in the danger zone of losing steam and momentum. You've got to learn how to bring in more ease, calm, and focus so that you don't burn yourself out. Eme and I shared ways to do this that we've both used within our coaching business. Secret #3 Mindset is everything. With a growth mindset and powerful intention, you can build your momentum back and allow the Universe to step in and guide you and your actions. This is a key that took a while for me to understand. If you're used to being the high achiever worker bee who does everything, you'll need to learn how to work smarter, not harder. And how to align your mindset with your higher potential and that of your higher self, i.e., your You-est You. This one takes practice, and we shared some practical ways to do this. Final Thoughts If you are ready to grow your coaching practice, visibility, and impact in the world, and conquer these three secrets, make sure to get on the waitlist for my upcoming live group program, Monetize Your Purpose, opening back up in 2023. Eme Ray, an online business genius with two 7 figure businesses and incredible coaching and mindset credentials, will be partnering with me to lead this course. We know that it will make a difference in your life and for those you're here to work with. Get on the waitlist here juliereisler.com/myp. S2 Ep 320The 4 Common Roadblocks for new Coaches and Creatives

The 4 Common Roadblocks For New Coaches In this solo episode, I talked about the 4 most common roadblocks I've seen get in the way of new coaches getting traction and momentum when starting a coaching business. Whether you're a coach, a creative, or an entrepreneur, you'll probably identify with these roadblocks in your own career as well. After a decade of coaching leaders and entrepreneurs and teaching the art and skill of coaching to hundreds of students, and in my own coaching journey, I know what can get in the way of making a greater impact and growing your business. In this week's episode, I'm pulling the curtain back on the four things to watch out for so that they don't stop you from being your You-est You when starting a coaching business or entrepreneurial endeavor. You Don't Have To Have It All Together Ok, my friend, let's just get something straight. We are never going to have it all figured out. Life will never be perfect, and no matter how much personal growth work you do, you will not always have it all together. And that's ok. Don't let this be a reason that stops you from feeling like you can start a coaching business and be a mentor to others. One of the secrets is that as a coach, it's never about you anyhow. In fact, what you are is an expert at learning how to listen at a deep level to help your client accomplish and align with their greatest desires and goals. In essence, you are helping them to be their best self or "You-est You." Don't let the trap of thinking you have to be perfect or have your life working perfectly get in the way of your coaching and making a greater impact. I shared a few tips on how to put this fear to bed. Don't Downplay Your Worth It's easy, especially for newer coaches, to get cold feet when discussing pricing and money. This is one of the reasons I believe it's crucial for coaches to invest their personal resources, time, and money in being coached. You have to know at a deep, cellular level the power of coaching. I worked with a coach years ago who literally changed my life with one powerful question. That question, and life pivot, was the impetus for my return to school to get a master's degree in coaching and integrative wellbeing. While I strongly believe in being certified and trained in this work since it is not as easy as it seems and is not about giving advice, being an expert or a cheerleader, you need to value yourself and the training you did receive. By undercharging, you end up undervaluing your services and the value of this work. I share a few ways to shift your belief and own your worth when starting a coaching business so you overcome that roadblock and can make a greater impact. Overcoming The Fear of Visibility A big roadblock I often see is the discomfort with being seen and putting yourself out there, be it through sending emails, sharing on social media, or any kind of marketing. The secret is becoming so in love with your 'why' that it supersedes any other fear of visibility. One of the ways to do this is to ask yourself this three-part question: Why is being a coach important to you, those you're here to support and serve, and the world? Get clear on your why, put it on your favorite post-it wall or in your phone reminders, and marry your why. Putting yourself out there, and making yourself visible leads to making a greater impact. The two go hand in hand. Rebuilding Your Confidence The best and most important way to build and expand your confidence as a coach is...wait for it...coaching! You need to continue practicing your craft and coaching as much as possible to utilize your coaching skills & training and boost your experience. S2 Ep 318How High Achieving Women Can Find Love Through Feminine Energy with Sami Wunder
Meet Sami Wunder Sami Wunder is a leading international dating and relationship coach who specializes in helping high-achieving women attract and keep romantic love. Her comprehensive approach shows her clients how to embrace strong relationship boundaries, while still emanating inviting feminine energy. Sami has enabled more than 270 single clients to get married and more than 300 partnered clients to bring their marriages back from divorce in the past five years. Sami founded her multi-seven-figure relationships brand after exiting a successful career as a gold medalist economist with a Masters in public policy. Since then, she has improved the love lives of thousands of women, including celebrities, senior executives, and entrepreneurs in over 55 countries across the globe. Her expertise has been featured in media outlets including Forbes, Glamour, TIME, Marie Claire, Business Insider, and the BBC. She lives in Germany with her adoring husband, Chris, and their two boys. If you are eager to attract your forever partner or at least someone you vibe with and love dating and being with, this is the conversation for you. We dug into what it takes to find your partner and real love. Tune in to hear more tips, practices, and ways to align your energy to attract your match. The Power of Setting Boundaries If you feel icky about setting boundaries or have any negative connotation with them, listen up my friend. We discussed the importance of shifting your mindset around setting boundaries from negative to neutral to positive. Learning to have good boundaries is both an act of self-love and helps your partner know your parameters. And as Sami Wunder shared, setting boundaries can be super sexy! Who knew?! A New Way to See Intimacy Think of this as Into-Me-I-See (Get it? Intimacy is into-me-I-see). In other words, you're allowing your partner to view all aspects of you. Sami Wunder shares that this is why learning to be vulnerable, open, and love all of yourself, without judgment, is crucial to fully embracing yourself and allowing your partner to see all of you. It can be tough to get close to another person and expose your vulnerabilities. Start by accepting these parts of yourself that you might have neglected, overlooked, or denied. Learn to celebrate and adore yourself first, as this will permit your partner to do the same. The Power of Feminine Energy and Receiving So many of us high-achieving women are used to being go-getters, taking action, being driven, and all about the goal, which is tapping into empowered masculine energy. All human beings have both masculine and feminine energy to draw upon, regardless of sex or gender. Sami Wunder shared about being raised by a mother who told her to always be strong, driven, goal-driven, and make her own money at all costs. While her mom was trying to be helpful, it caused a lot of stress and health issues for Sami. We discussed the importance of the signature feminine energy of 'being' versus 'doing'. This might feel odd and weird at first, but learning to be -- be present in the moment and receiving can be important in your relationship and for your health. Final Thoughts Sami Wunder shares about the importance of setting boundaries and how setting boundaries promotes a feeling of self-love and expands a sense of healthy relationship parameters. She also imparts her wisdom both from being a high-achieving woman and working with them that you can't be afraid to step into your feminine energy. That you can still be wildly successful in balancing both masculine and feminine energy. Sami Wunder has prepared a special masterclass called 'Lean In At Work, Lean Back In Love' in which she shares 3 mindset shifts that high-achieving women can make to be successful not only in their careers but also in dating and relationships. She is sharing this with anyone who would like Feminine Energy life training. S2 Ep 317The Mom Life Crisis with Emily McAllister
Meet Emily McAllister Emily McAllister, my dear sister from the same mister, is an incredible photographer, writer, and truth-teller. Emily is a creative, entrepreneur, mama in recovery to two adorable girls, and soon-to-be author. Emily is a Boston-native living in Southern California, where she owns her photography business, Emily McAllister Photography. Emily also works as a freelance writer and an occasional public speaker. Emily's writing has been featured on Scary Mommy, The Dad, What's Up Moms, Huffington Post, Buzzfeed, Love What Matters, and more. Emily has been a guest on several podcasts where she shares everything from her recovery story, her experience with maternal mental health, as well as her entrepreneurial journey that led her to professional photography. She is currently working on her first non-fiction book but in the meantime, shares her sassy, sometimes racy, and often hilarious thoughts on Twitter @Emily_tweets. Feeling Like a Misfit & Coloring Outside The Lines Emily McAllister talked about her inherent wiring to follow her own rules and color outside the lines. I've seen these self-starting and non-rule following traits in entrepreneurs as major assets. While this didn't feel like a strength growing up, she later learned that her creativity, resilience, and authenticity led Emily to start her own successful business. She had to follow her messy, nonlinear journey and truly be her 'You-est You' to find her own genuine path. If you also tend to color outside the lines and go against the grain or zig where others zag, know that this is often your greatest gift. Follow it and embrace all of yourself. Laughter As Medicine Laughter helped Emily McAllister heal traumas from the past as they related to substance abuse and addiction. She learned that by sharing her deepest, darkest stories with others, a healing happened in that true connection. Today, in addition to being a photographer, Emily is a speaker and loves helping other women to share their stories. One of her biggest messages-don't take yourself or your challenges too seriously. Learn to laugh with and at yourself, and you'll start the inner healing process in a way you couldn't have imagined. The Mom Life Crisis This is really about feeling lost - both in losing herself to motherhood and her own identity - to finding a whole new sense of self. From breakdown to breakthrough, the mom life crisis has been humbling for Emily, and she shares how this period of being lost and overwhelmed can lead you back to a stronger form of yourself. The trick is to stay with the feelings, to feel your feelings fully, and allow what's next to arise naturally. You're Only As Sick As Your Secrets Emily McAllister's biggest lesson to share is so powerful. In essence, when we hide parts of ourselves or our truth, we are allowing shame to take over and disconnect us from real connection. Sharing the secrets, stories, and situations you've held in shame will change your life. This is much of what has helped Emily in her own recovery journey, along with taking ownership of her life and realizing that we have a part in all aspects of our life movie. A reminder, life isn't happening to you; it's happening for you. In sum, it's about owning your sh*t and eating donuts (if you so desire). Final Thoughts Emily McAllister is a perfect example of how to wrangle mom life with grace even on the days you want to crawl back in bed (because we ALL do and that's ok) and how coloring outside the lines is what makes you uniquely perfect. To use that gift to share your dark secret, to shine the light on them so that you, and others, realize they aren't so scary after all. S2 Ep 316How To Be Alive with Colin Beavan
Meet Colin Beavan Colin Beavan, Ph.D., is a sought-after coach, speaker, consultant, and Zen Teacher in the Kwan Um Zen tradition. He attracted international attention for his year-long lifestyle-redesign project and the wildly popular book, No Impact Man, and the Sundance-selected documentary film it inspired. Colin ran for the US House of Representatives in New York's 8th Congressional District in 2012, was the founder of the No Impact Project, a board member of Transportation Alternatives, an advisory council member of 350.org, and a guest professor at Sarah Lawrence College. He is the author, most recently, of How to Be Alive: A Guide To The Kind of Happiness That Helps The World. He can be found at www.colinbeavan.com as well as on Instagram @ColinBeavan. No Impact Man Experiment Colin Beavan set out on a year-long experiment back in 2009 to live environmentally friendly in an extreme way in NYC. He wanted to explore how we can live where we help others and ourselves, understand our role in the environment and climate change, and the impact we make (the inspiration for his No Impact Project, by the way). This year-long project became the documentary, No Impact Man, where Colin focused each month on another issue in the environment and then removed it from his life. He addressed issues like trash, water use, degradation, transportation, and buying only local food. In pursuing these areas of concern, another big question came up - is there a way to build a community that naturally embeds this kind of consciousness into its fabric of society? The year proved to be a powerful experiment in allowing Colin to get healthier and step off the treadmill of constant 'doing' and being glued to screens, giving him more nourishing time to spend with his young daughter, family, and friends. How To Be Alive and Kind This No Impact Man opportunity opened up more questions that he addressed in his book, How to Be Alive: A Guide To The Kind of Happiness That Helps The World, about choosing a way of being where we're both taken care of and taking care of others. This mutual care scenario would allow for a greater sense of security and meaning, two important aspects of having a good life. Colin Beavan unpacked the deeper question of finding meaning in one's life by answering the following questions, which I encourage you to address for yourself: 1) Understanding yourself: Who are you, and what feels important to you? 2) What is the world to you, and what do you care about? 3) How might you bring these two answers together? It's Time To Create A World Based on Kindness Much of Colin Beavan's studies and wisdom comes from the Zen tradition, a mystical practice that focuses much of your time and energy on staying deep, open-ended questions like 'Who are you?' and not knowing the answer. Colin shared about a master teacher he encountered early on who shared that the ideal is "to wash your mind with 'I don't know' soap." In other words, when you're not interfering with 'knowing' something, you can respond to how the world naturally responds. Under this practice is building your trust in the Universe. Now What's Next? We're in times where many are confused, scared, and anxious but want to bring in more kindness. Tune in to hear a beautiful practice to stay in the 'not knowing' and call in greater connection to kindness. Final Thought Colin Beavan's efforts to change the world one step at a time led to a movement we can all join in big or small ways. No Impact Man is well worth the watch to uncover the impact we have on the world with the choices we make, even unconsciously, every day. Be sure to pick up a copy of his latest book, How to Be Alive: A Guide To The Kind of Happiness That Helps The World. No other vocal coach in history has been more commercially successful in both the speaking and singing fields. Roger has produced over 150 million unit sales worldwide and has written three top-selling books. Roger coaches singers such as John Mayer and Selena Gomez, as well as speakers like Anthony Robbins and actors including Brad Pitt, Reese Witherspoon, Zoe Saldana, Keira Knightly, and Bradley Cooper. It is waiting for you right now at http://rogerlove.com/julie You're about to learn new ways to overcome self-doubt and build confidence and the most important things no one's ever told you about using your voice to become a more successful entrepreneur and change-maker. How To Use Your Voice As An Instrument Roger Love is the absolute best in the world at helping you to use the power of your voice to bring out the best of who you are. Science proves that what we say is first processed emotionally, then logically. The emotions are first passed through the prefrontal cortex. In other words, it's not just the words that affect how you feel when someone speaks to you. A myriad of variables, like pitch, volume, and melody, will have you decide if you trust or like the person speaking. Roger has created innovative and incredibly powerful techniques to develop your voice as an instrument that you can use in any way you choose. Listen in to learn some of these brilliant strategies like ascending and descending scales. Hint: you were probably taught early on the wrong way to use your voice, and this one tip could make a massive difference in the way others perceive you and your message. Tune in to learn how to use the power of your voice to make a larger impact. Overcoming Fear of Public Speaking Did you know that the fear of public speaking is one of the biggest fears? Ironically, speaking in public, be it on stage, within your company, making a pitch, or leading others is an essential skill. Roger Love shares how to use the voice's building blocks and the five-voice variables to be an effective communicator. But still, it's crucial to use them in the right way, and how you use you use the building blocks is dependent on the emotion you want to evoke. As you learn how to use your voice and build confidence, how to get over a fear of public speaking becomes a non-issue. The Five Key Variables Of Your Voice I bet you didn't know that there are 5 aspects to your voice. And with practice, you can learn to evoke and tap into the 23 main emotions, like gratitude, empathy, and even anger, at any time. Roger trains some leading actors and celebrities, as well as speakers and leaders, on eliciting any emotion they want to communicate. These 5 main variables or voice building blocks are: Pitch Volume Melody Tune Pace Understanding The Power of Your Voice You may not realize it, but knowing how to breathe (Roger gave a really fun demo in the interview) can change the way you speak and sound. Most of us breathe through our mouths or speak without enough breath. Roger Love calls this phenomenon 'Vocal Fry', and it sounds like you're out of breath. If you're looking to speak more --- be it on stage, on a podcast, in front of colleagues, or at an event, tune in so you can use the power of your voice to do this properly. We had a blast practicing how to breathe through the nose and speak while the air is leaving your diaphragm. Final Thoughts Roger Love was such a joy to have on the show sharing his knowledge as a vocal coach. Who knew that how to get over a fear of public speaking can lie in the power of your voice? S2 Ep 3145 Ways to Increase Your Self-Worth with Julie Reisler

Julie is the founder of the Life Designer® Coach Academy, a coach mastery training certification program, host and founder of the You-est You® Podcast, which is now in over 175 countries with 300+ episodes, and author of Get a PhD in YOU. Make sure you take Julie's Free Intuition Test to find your exact intuitive type and superpowers to manifest your dream life at juliereisler.com/freequiz. To learn more about Julie and how she might support you on your You-est You journey, go to juliereisler.com. Your Self-Worth Is Not Negotiable This topic is near and dear to my heart. I struggled for years with a sense that I wasn't enough. I felt a lack of self-worth that affected all aspects of my life, including my body image and the way I saw myself. I'm here first off to remind you that your self-worth has nothing to do with what you do or your achievements. You are worthy because you are born. All of us are. You're inherently worthy. Period. 5 Ways To Increase Your Self-Worth Now that we've got that straight, I want to share with you the five ways I've found to help increase your self-worth. As always, take what resonates and leave the rest. 1. Say No More Often Yes, you heard me right. It might sound counterintuitive but say no more often! By learning to speak up for yourself, saying no and getting out of the people-pleasing rut, you're learning to feel ok saying no. When you say no, you allow yourself to make room for what is a full yes. This builds self-efficacy! 2. Be Impeccable with Your Words Be mindful and impeccable with your words. As Don Miguel Ruiz shares in his book (one of my absolute faves), The Four Agreements, you must be impeccable with your word. Here's the catch, be impeccable with the words you use towards and with yourself. Start to recognize, track and watch what you say to yourself. Watch what you say to others as well, and build real integrity with your words and actions. This builds confidence and self-worth. 3. Forgive Yourself Forgive Yourself is a practice that will allow you to release shame, guilt, regret, and feelings of 'not good enough'. Write a list of resentments you have with and towards yourself. Look at them as an observer and go deeper to see what was under each resentment and fear. Write about that fear and have compassion for yourself. You can't change the past, but you can change the present, which will change your future. This is not only helpful for building your worthiness but also healing for your mind and body. 4. Focus on Your Strengths Focus on your strengths rather than where you're falling short. It's so easy (thank you, 'negative bias') to feel like you're always coming up short, missing out, and comparing yourself to others. Rather than focusing on what's not working, aim your attention on your strengths. Write a list of your strengths. For example, some of your top strengths are creativity, empathy, kindness, writing, deep listening, and open-mindedness. Create a practice before the end of each day where you look at how you tapped into your strengths. What you focus on will expand and make you feel more and more self-worth. 5. Turn to a Higher Power Don't do your life alone. Take time every morning before answering texts and calls and checking your Instagram feed to connect to a source and power greater than yourself. Whether you call it the Divine Matrix, Infinite Intelligence, God, Goddess, The Universe, Source Energy, or Higher Power, find a way to anchor into this greater channel of wisdom, love, and light. I shared some practices I do to help me feel more connected to the Divine. Find what works for you and make this a mandatory practice. You will start to feel an increased sense of self-worth and a deeper relationship with Divine Order. The World Is A Mirror Don't forget that the world is a mirror reflecting what you see within yourself. As you strengthen your sense of self-worth, you'll not only see this in others but it will be reflected back to you. The goal, of course, is not to need it reflected back by others but to cultivate this from within and with your Higher Power. Final Thoughts Here's to your remembering your worthiness and increasing your sense of self-worth! Side note, if you would like 1:1 mentorship and support and accountability to help increase your self-worth, feel free to reach out and set up a time to chat. As a master life coach, helping you to feel more worthy and have more confidence is one of my favorite ways to be of service. You can learn more about my

S2 Ep 313Don't Keep Your Day Job with Cathy Heller
Meet Cathy Heller Cathy Heller is a fire hose of inspiration. She's the host of the popular podcast, Don't Keep Your Day Job, which has 30 million downloads and has been featured in Forbes, Entrepreneur Magazine, HuffPost, Inc Magazine, Business Insider, and several times by Apple. Each week Cathy encourages thousands of listeners to find more purpose, make an impact, and build an abundant life by doing what they love. She's interviewed successful authors, celebrities, entrepreneurs, spiritual leaders, experts, and everyday heroes about what led them to the biggest moments in their lives. She shares how you, too, can create a life you can't wait to wake up to every day. Cathy's book Don't Keep Your Day Job is filled with inspirational stories from people in her community who have taken control of their life's journey. Her book details how to find the work you're meant to do, grow your business, and wake up to a life you love. She is a phenomenal leader for spiritual seekers, creatives, and entrepreneurs, and she's helping people everywhere add their gifts to the world. Cathy often says, "purpose is the opposite of depression." She is truly lifting others to be the happiest version of themselves. You can learn more at cathyheller.com Discomfort Is The Gift Cathy Heller had a record deal but was dropped from the label. She left her dream of singing and writing music to get into real estate. While financially successful, Cathy felt miserable. She remembered advice from a Tony Robbins tape (I know, so old school, but we used to listen to cassette tapes), which said to ask a good question of yourself. In doing this, Cathy asked herself what she really wanted to do and realized at the time it was to write music. She cold-called producers and directors of TV shows (mind you, without any prior relationship) and got good at building her discomfort muscle. While it was super uncomfortable at first, Cathy Heller pursued these contacts and started to ask what they needed help with. The response was that she was the first person to ask what was needed and truly listen. She pushed beyond her comfort zone and kept calling, making new relationships with producers, and soon was writing music for hit TV shows. Cathy explained that stepping out of her comfort zone and doing it anyway became a gift. And that her business was about radical empathy, as Seth Godin says. They responded to her humility and willingness to listen. Her discomfort was the gift that kept giving as she learned to tap into these same principles and expanded into teaching others how to grow their business. Ask This Question To Pursue Your Goal The question that kept Cathy Heller exploring newer and higher heights was what she needed to do next. She often didn't know but would assume she could figure it out. Cathy took the next right action and step, adding in authenticity and humility, and grew her business to seven figures. This question of what do I need to do next, is one she continues to ask herself. Why Courage Is A Must Courage is truly the juicy part. You learn to make a choice even if fear is there because in the end, you can go to bed with your soul at peace. You've got to reframe how you look at courage. The goal is to grow and tap into courage, not to be comfortable. Courage is the ingredient that will allow you to move past your ego and fear. Facing courage and doing it anyway moves you beyond your comfort zone and will enable you to reach your dreams. As Deepak Chopra says, who we are is the divine pretending to be a person, and courage is really about showing up as your divine self. Abundance & Thriving Are Your Birthright We live in a vibrational field where our thoughts have a vibrational frequency. Within 4 seconds, you can feel another person's vibe -- literally. Our job is to thrive. Scarcity is an illusion and is not true. The bigger issue is our capacity to receive and trust that we're meant to be abundance. Just look at our bodies with over 50 trillion cells, powerhouse cells thriving and scientifically connected to the planets, and cosmos, as depicted by our circadian rhythm. It's time to trust our inherent abundance. In truth, our greatest abundance is our creativity. We're creators and meant to be innovating, thriving, and creating. What has helped Cathy Heller build her dream life and call in greater abundance is setting a daily practice of meditation and purposely being generous. Cathy meditates every morning to connect to a state of oneness, which ironically is a realm of being one with all and a nobody. She also lists 5 things every day of ways she can be generous and give to others. Her nugget of wisdom: stop overthinking, give from a place of true gratitude and abundance and watch the natural momentum. Final Thoughts Be courageous. Don't be afraid to step outside your comfort zone. Being afraid and doing it anyway is a perfectly natural state of being but remember you are a Divine being, and facing your discomfort will take y
