The special guest is Fighting Cock bourbon and it was recommended by a listener as they felt it had similar characteristics as Yellowstone. Going back to our "main event", Yellowstone Select 93 is an interesting bourbon with a unique flavor profile that we have not experienced, making it hard to compare to other bourbons. One of the lesser known bourbons from Heaven Hill, Bluff Springs Bourbon provides a lot of bang for the buck. A nice mix of sweet and spiciness, Bluff Springs is enjoyable from start to finish. Our long awaited Larceny review is finally here. A wheated bourbon (not to be confused with weeded) with good flavor and a nice smooth sip. Never thought we would be doing flavored whiskey but since we received so many requests to review this, we obliged. Screwball Peanut Butter Whiskey brings a high level of peanut butter flavor and is really well made. Not for your daily whiskey sipper but could be good for someone who enjoys peanut butter as well as peanut butter and jelly sandwiches because it mixes well. Old Elk Wheated is a nice and smooth sipper but when you add a store pick to it at a higher proof, you get more flavor and heat. Overall, it's a hell of a sipper. We are back with another review. Surprisingly we have another rye this week, Woodford Reserve Straight Rye. So far, Woodford Reserve has been highly reviewed by us and is a solid distillery. The rye is a bit different, but would be great for someone just getting into ryes. The low rye content in this whiskey makes it much smoother than most but there is still enough flavor to keep the more seasoned rye drinker interested. Noble Oak Bourbon is a sourced bourbon that they age with Sherry Barrel Staves. Noble Oak has a cool story as for each bottle sold, they plant an oak tree. A great bourbon for those who want to help the environment and especially good for wine lovers due to the heavy wine taste. A nice and filling sipper that is worth trying at least once. We can't believe that we waited this long to review a Rabbit Hole product. There really isn't a better descriptor of us since we hop around from rabbit hole to rabbit hole. It is a very easy sipper with a lot of flavor. A fantastic whiskey for your shelf, especially if you like oak. In this special episode, we review a new favorite and quite possibly our highest rated to date, Woodford Reserve Double Oaked. A nice bourbon that was aged differently than most we have had. Instead of aging it in the same barrel, Woodford decided to age it as they did for the standard Woodford Reserve then age it an additional 6 months to a year in a highly toasted lightly charred barrel. The end result is a very smooth bourbon with a nice sweetness on the palate. Following our review we go into our topic where we discuss our thoughts on politics in the workplace.
