S2 Ep 32S2 Ep32: Business Bite - How Are You Showing Up in Sales Conversations

An extract from Good Girls do SellChapter 3 - Not Just a Shift But a TransformationYes or Yes?Who are you showing up as when you are in the sales process? Does the image you project reflect the results you want to achieve? Are you nervous, tense, and panicky? Or self-assured, poised and cool? If you want to achieve extraordinary results you need to focus on what it is you really want – the result – rather than the process. Having a clear outcome and consistently focussing on the result changes your behaviour. Anthony Robbins reminds us that whatever we focus on, we will feel and experience at a stronger level. If you focus on why you have so many problems in your business, you will surely be able to come up with a long list of reasons. If you focus on all the activities you that are keeping you busy, you’ll find yourself adding more and more to the list. If you focus on the results you are committed to achieving, then you’ll find yourself constantly moving toward the result you are after. The result is the target you are after. Aim for results rather than fix on the reasons.https://www.linkedin.com/in/janeenvospersalesprofessionalpresentingconfidencecoach/https://www.facebook.com/speechperfect/ https://www.instagram.com/speechperfect/ https://twitter.com/VosperJaneen

S2 Ep 31S2 Ep31: Business Bite - How You Can Adjust Your Perception and Receive More

Everything you perceive you project. Out of the two million bits of information that surround us, we only process approximately 134 bps (bits per second). This means that we obviously can’t concentrate on every bit of information that comes to us. Your loving nervous system realises you can’t handle that much information so it cuts out what isn’t necessary. It allows you to focus on what is necessary for you to focus on. Those types of things that determine what you sort for and what you look for in your world. Your personality also determines what your sort for and what you look for. If you change who you are then everything around you in the world will change as well. We have certain ways of seeing and filtering the world. We really can’t see anything other than who we are. What you see is you and what others see is them. Perception is projection is an amazing awareness tool – awareness of yourself. Practicing positive projections can really result in a happy productive day, and can give you control to turn around those days you that feel like they never end. You’re likely to have had experiences of perception is projection already. Networking events are a great example. Think back to somewhere you’ve been really up for it, and it’s turned out to be an even better night than you anticipated. Where everyone you have talked to has been a great contact and you’ve gained instant rapport with them. Whereas those events that you haven’t really felt like going to have ended with you leaving with nothing of any meaning. That’s no coincidence. With sales this is paramount. When you’ve made sales calls and you haven’t been in the right mood, how often were successful? Whereas how much success have you had when you have been in the right mood? If you were projecting the thoughts, “They’ll never buy from me” guess what? They won’t. (Akin to a self-fulfilling prophecy). https://www.linkedin.com/in/janeenvospersalesprofessionalpresentingconfidencecoach/ https://www.facebook.com/speechperfect/ https://www.instagram.com/speechperfect/ https://twitter.com/VosperJaneen

S2 Ep 30S2 Ep30: Business Bite - How to Adjust Your Success Set Point

An extract from 'Good Girls do Sell'CHAPTER 3 - Adjusting Your Set Point Changes More Than The OutcomeStudies show that each of us has a “set-point" for most areas of our lives – a fixed range we tend to return to throughout our life. Whether they be financial, spiritual, or emotional. It is believed that it is approximately 50 percent genetic and 50 percent learned. In best-selling author Marci Shirnoff’s book ‘Happy for No Reason’ she affirms her belief that we all can easily and systematically raise our everyday level of happiness. As with happiness and every aspect of our lives, we can adjust our set point in regard to feeling comfortable around selling. We can adjust our set-points when we become mindful that our thoughts, our feelings, and our body. All have their own language that is interconnected. Not easy some days but certainly worth applying to create the results you desire. It takes discipline to notice and then to apply what you see as making new choices to raise your set-point. But the payoff is worth it.

S2 Ep 29S2 Ep29: Business Bite - Learn Why Your Beliefs Are Sabortaging Sales

An extract from 'Good Girls do Sell'CHAPTER 3 - Not Just a Shift, But a TransformationBelieve What?As you would imagine transforming one’s beliefs and values are often the biggest sticking point for most people when it comes to removing programmed negative attitudes towards salespeople and selling. We can describe our attitude as a like or dislike of something – it is a judgment. These can be positive, negative, or ambivalent. Our attitudes arise from our inner framework of values and beliefs. These will have developed over time and have been influenced by the world around us. When we understand how the negative attitudes towards sales and cold-calling affects our commitment to build a business and discover the tools change those attitudes we are on our way to making the selling process a more positive and beneficial experience. It is a fact that our attitudes are the creation of our internal beliefs and value systems. Thankfully, our attitudes can be changed by feedback and behaviour management, this can also change our values and beliefs and vice versa. Obviously if selling tests your values then there is a good chance you would have a negative attitude towards that and possibly even salespeople. https://www.linkedin.com/in/janeenvospersalesprofessionalpresentingconfidencecoach/https://www.facebook.com/speechperfect/ https://www.instagram.com/speechperfect/ https://twitter.com/VosperJaneen

S2 Ep 28S2 Ep28: Business Bite - Be The Sales Authority In Your Business

An extract from 'Good Girls do Sell' CHAPTER 2 - Confidence 101 Without sales, you have no business. And for most starting a new business there are often no funds to employ a sales team. As well as the CEO, CFO, designer, bookkeeper, marketing guru, whether you like it or not, you also need to become the sales expert in your business. 1. Develop a positive self-image Develop a positive self-image by believing you are an expert in your field. 2. Gain Clarity For many people, the source of their lack of confidence is confusion over what you do. Gaining clarity in this area does provide a massive boost to confidence. 3. Learn the skills It seems ridiculous to think that someone would fly a plane without first learning the skill-set required. Find information on selling by attending courses, in books, podcasts etc, and being mentored by someone who has had success in the field. 4. Practice Like learning any new skill, the sales process is often uncomfortable at first. 5. Expect Success Start to visualise what success would look like. Set some goals and imagine achieving them and how that would feel. https://www.linkedin.com/in/janeenvospersalesprofessionalpresentingconfidencecoach/ https://www.facebook.com/speechperfect/ https://www.instagram.com/speechperfect/ https://twitter.com/VosperJaneen

S2 Ep 27S2 Ep27: Business Bite - How to Pitch for Profit

An extract from 'Good Girls do Sell'CHAPTER 2 - The Devil is in the Details of the Pitch“You get what you pitch for and you’re always pitching” Matthew Michalewicz Once you are clear on your customer’s reasons for purchasing, you will be able to obtain clarity to craft a business/social pitch that reflects what you do in the best possible fashion. A powerful pitch can deliver opportunities that will gain you new clients and open doors to future joint ventures.Being able to pitch your business with confidence gives you credibility and a convincing degree of ownership. The most common pitch we all partake in is a social pitch. The pitch you use in casual settings should be your default answer to the question ‘What do you do?” Its objective is merely to spark enough interest in the listener to be motivated in continuing a conversation. Your social pitch should be memorised – it should be fluid and change with the circumstance – it should be repeatable and it should not contain your entire proposition. If you put too much into it, you will sound like you’re desperate and selling. Be casual, but clear.I find many people usually include fancy words and impressive titles when they develop a social pitch. Remember it is not about you but what your customer will understand and value. Imagine you are pitching to a 12-year-old. https://www.linkedin.com/in/janeenvospersalesprofessionalpresentingconfidencecoach/https://www.facebook.com/speechperfect/ https://www.instagram.com/speechperfect/ https://twitter.com/VosperJaneen

S2 Ep 26S2 Ep26: Business Bite - Discover Why People Will Buy From You

An extract from 'Good Girls do Sell'CHAPTER 2 - The Solution is W.I.I.F.M.“The aim of marketing is to know and understand the customer so well the product or service fits him and sells itself.”Peter DruckerWhat’s In It For Me appeals directly to the attention and decision-making functions of the human brain. The Amygdala, a part of the brain which rules much of our actions and behaviour. The Amygdala determines in a fraction of a second what we pay attention to. It will pay no attention at all unless it can immediately see W.I.I.F.M.What’s In It For Me? That question drives almost every decision we make. From the moment we wake up in the morning, “What’s in it for me” is the subconscious mantra playing quietly in the back of our heads all day long. These five words help us choose what clothes to wear, what food to eat, what people to hang around with, what movie to watch, and so on. They also help us evaluate risks: do we dare walk across that fallen log, do we try to make that traffic light, do we ask for a raise, do we make those business calls, do we get a dog, do we find a new job. What you are selling and what your clients buy are two different things. https://www.linkedin.com/in/janeenvospersalesprofessionalpresentingconfidencecoach/https://www.facebook.com/speechperfect/ https://www.instagram.com/speechperfect/ https://twitter.com/VosperJaneen

S2 Ep 25S2 Ep25: Business Bite - Learn why people will pay more

An extract from 'Good Girls do Sell'CHAPTER 2 - Confidence is the KeyMe, Myself, & IToday's Consumer Is Focused on 'Me, Myself, and I'.The only thing your customer is thinking is, "What's in it for me?" The one thing your customer cares about is, "Will this work for me?" And just because you are partial to a particular method, product, design, or style, etc does not mean the market will share your sensibilities. You're probably familiar with a very famous quote from Henry Ford about his early cars, "They can have it in any colour they like as long as it's black”. A positive and memorable customer-focused experience will set you apart from the competition. In many cases creating a great experience will enable you to charge premium prices, because it adds unquantifiable value to your service or product. If customers feel they are getting more, they'll be more willing to pay more. https://www.linkedin.com/in/janeenvospersalesprofessionalpresentingconfidencecoach/https://www.facebook.com/speechperfect/ https://www.instagram.com/speechperfect/ https://twitter.com/VosperJaneen

S2 Ep 24S2 Ep24: Business Bite - How to Generate More Sales

An extract from 'Good Girls do Sell'CHAPTER 2 - Confidence is the KeyYou Mean It's Not About Me?“Humility is not thinking less of yourself, it's thinking of yourself less.”Rick WarrenRather than focussing on negative perceptions around the fear of being rejected when in the selling process, ask yourself instead – if you were your customer, What’s in it for ME? Why would I want your product or service? I want you to write W.I.I.F.M. in big letters somewhere you can see this daily. Every time you are about to make a sales call, think W.I.I.F.M. Remembering all the time that the ME is your customer and not yourself. The benefits of delving deep into W.I.I.F.M. is that you will understand the concept that you aren’t really selling anything, you are creating an opportunity for people to buy what they want, what they need from you that wouldn’t be possible if you hadn’t presented your product. How often have you had a situation where you have caught up with someone you have met and they have just spent money on a product or service that you offer but they didn’t think of coming to you because they weren’t clear on what you could offer? Even though you are positive you have told them about your product or service in the past. One of the foremost mistakes I see made by entrepreneurs is they try to sell their product or service without any genuine understanding of what the clients’ needs might be. https://www.linkedin.com/in/janeenvospersalesprofessionalpresentingconfidencecoach/https://www.facebook.com/speechperfect/ https://www.instagram.com/speechperfect/ https://twitter.com/VosperJaneen

Your Product is Not Enough “With realization of one's own potential and self-confidence in one's ability, one can build a better world.” Dalai Lama Understanding the number one, most important element to confidently cold-calling and sell face to face is having not only a belief, but to possess a core conviction regarding your product or service, and what you can offer. It will change the way you look at wanting to get the information to your prospective customers. If you know without any doubt, that your product or service will make life easier, save people money, bring people joy or change people’s lives then you won’t want to hold back from knocking on every door and shouting from the rooftops. Just to let people know what you can do for them and how they can improve their situation. I know you are probably already feeling uncomfortable about the idea of informing everyone you meet about what you do – what product you sell – what service you offer? https://www.linkedin.com/in/janeenvospersalesprofessionalpresentingconfidencecoach/ https://www.facebook.com/speechperfect/ https://www.instagram.com/speechperfect/ https://twitter.com/VosperJaneen

S2 Ep 22S2 Ep22: Business Bite - What You Must Know Starting a Business

An extract from 'Good Girls do Sell'A Big Scary Movie in My Head“Obstacles are necessary for success because in selling, as in all careers of importance, victory comes only after many struggles and countless defeats.”Og MandinoForbes magazine has acknowledged the increase in the number of entrepreneurial women has grown exponentially in recent years. Starting up in business can be an exciting time for the woman entrepreneur but also a daunting time too. In the excitement of getting things going, she often overlooks the obvious – profitable sales are the lifeblood of any business and selling is a skill. Without exception, I’ve found that although most women entrepreneurs have a great deal of ability many fail to realise just how crucial it is when running when your own business to be confident in yourself – your message – and your ability. It is quite unrealistic for anyone to expect they are an expert in a field without the appropriate training and education. https://www.linkedin.com/in/janeenvospersalesprofessionalpresentingconfidencecoach/https://www.facebook.com/speechperfect/ https://www.instagram.com/speechperfect/ https://twitter.com/VosperJaneen

S2 Ep 21S2 Ep21: Business Bite - If you are in business…you are in sales

An extract from 'Good Girls do Sell'INTRODUCTIONTrue to MeIn our house, we agree to disagree with our opinion regarding selling. My other half is one of the biggest cynics when it comes to salespeople. He hails from a long line of skeptics and has quite a negative view of salespeople despite the fact he has been married to a highly successful saleswoman for over 40 years and enjoys the spoils of her success. He thinks I’m an easy target when it comes to buying product from a first-class salesperson. He has a real aversion about being ‘sold to’ and is always looking for the angles. You may be able to relate to his sentiments as I know he isn’t alone. After 30 plus years working in some form of sales role, from shop girl to the general manager, I have discovered that every one of us is in sales and selling on a daily basis. I recognise this concept challenges many people. But think about it. How often do you attempt to ‘sell’ your idea or opinion? Whether trying to convince a friend to buy a dress that looks good on her, a daughter not to take drugs or a husband to mow the lawn. We are all trying to sell an idea to get the results we want. And depending on how good you are at the sales process, you may or may not end up with a mown lawn, a healthy child, and a friend with a maxed-out credit card.Have I convinced you that you are a salesperson yet? https://www.linkedin.com/in/janeenvospersalesprofessionalpresentingconfidencecoach/https://www.facebook.com/speechperfect/ https://www.instagram.com/speechperfect/ https://twitter.com/VosperJaneen

S2 Ep 20S2 Ep20: Business Bite - How to Ensure Selling is a Joy

An extract from 'Good Girls do Sell' INTRODUCTION The Joy of Selling A sales coach told me many years ago that the highest-paid employee was a real estate saleswoman from the United States and that salespeople were on average, paid more than any other workers. Maybe that isn’t the case now with the top CEO’s are earning crazy money, but becoming confident and comfortable in the selling process is sure to provide an opportunity for you to reap the rewards of a successful business. Call me crazy but I enjoy selling and I know first-hand that being good at building strong client relationships and making a sale is the key to business success. If handled right, it should always be a win-win for all parties. Where everyone leaves feeling it was a gratifying experience. If handled badly though, it can not only leave a sour taste but lead to buyer’s remorse and making it difficult to trust again. What the average salesperson and entrepreneur gets wrong is they are usually trying to make a sale at all costs and as you will learn through this book, that form of selling doesn’t sit right for most people and is a technique of the past. https://www.linkedin.com/in/janeenvospersalesprofessionalpresentingconfidencecoach/ https://www.facebook.com/speechperfect/ https://www.instagram.com/speechperfect/ https://twitter.com/VosperJaneen

S2 Ep 18S2 Ep18: Business Bite - How to Take Control of Your Life

An Extract from Being Unstoppable - Remember When Life Gets Challenging, "You've Got This" 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝟲 - 𝗧𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗟 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲 You don’t have to look outside for love. You will find this in yourself. Life has a way of providing the lessons you need at the time. Lessons that are meant to nurture you as an individual. You will survive and you will thrive. You should only feel sorry for yourself if you want to remain a victim. It won’t serve you in living the life you want to live.” I believe my biggest learning has been that life is lived by the choices we make day in, day out. Not by leaving it to chance. This quote by Miranda Marriot explains it well. “I choose to live by choice, not by chance; to make changes, not excuses; to be motivated, not manipulated; to be useful, not used; to excel, not to compete. I choose self-esteem, not self-pity. I choose to listen to my inner voice, not the random opinion of others. I choose to be me.” If your life was a bus, then who is driving? Are you a driver or a passenger on the bus of your life? Most people are passengers. What about you? It is easy to tell if someone is a driver or a passenger. Listen to them talk and you will hear passengers sitting at the back complaining about where their bus has gone. Not only do they complain, but they hold someone or something else responsible for where their bus has ended up. Avoiding responsibility for your choices and actions, looking outside yourself for the cause produces a victim mentality. It is the tiny, daily mindset shifts and actions that help people become the driver of their lives, to be more empowered and positive. When you see the world differently, you behave differently. It is these behavior changes that pave the way for more happiness, success, and self-confidence. It is the small things you do in life that have the biggest impact. https://www.linkedin.com/in/janeenvos... https://www.facebook.com/speechperfect/ https://www.instagram.com/speechperfect/ https://twitter.com/VosperJaneen

S2 Ep 16S2 Ep16: Business Bite - How to Set Intentions and Succeed

An Extract from Being Unstoppable - Remember When Life Gets Challenging, "You've Got This" 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝟲 - 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗪𝗔𝗬 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗗 𝗦𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 I have always been an avid goal-setter. In fact, it is one of the topics I regularly train people in as I know setting goals is an important part of strengthening self-confidence as it helps shape and revise how you define yourself. Setting goals and achieving them adds to your sense of accomplishment. Setting goals and achieving them changes the damaging beliefs you hold on to about yourself. Setting goals and achieving them will give you greater confidence to try new activities and push yourself further than you thought possible. As well as setting goals to boost your confidence and achieving results into the future, it is essential that you also set intentions. What is the difference you might ask? There are three differences between a goal and an intention. • Goals are focused on the future. Intentions are in the present moment. • Goals are a destination or specific achievement. Intentions are lived each day, independent of achieving the goal or destination. • Goals are external achievements. Intentions are about your relationship with yourself and others. Setting intentions for your day, your business, your life provides you with the motivation to overcome hurdles. https://www.linkedin.com/in/janeenvos... https://www.facebook.com/speechperfect/ https://www.instagram.com/speechperfect/ https://twitter.com/VosperJaneen

I mean, shouldn’t people judge you on whether you are a good person or not, rather than what you are wearing? Right? I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but people do judge you based on the clothes you wear. It does not matter whether you are walking down the street or sitting in a business meeting; people are constantly looking at what you are wearing. The fact is, in the business world, your income will improve, the caliber of people you hang around with will improve and your confidence will improve when you wear the 'right' clothes. By dressing to impress you can change other people’s opinions of you, raise your credibility, and propel your confidence level into overdrive. If your confidence does not shine through, then it is going to be tough to promote yourself. Build both the interior and exterior look so that you can maximize your effectiveness. An Extract from Being Unstoppable - Remember When Life Gets Challenging, "You've Got This"𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝟰 - 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗬𝗕𝗢𝗢𝗞 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗘𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲Anyone who knows me knows that I am great at filling my time with activity. I know this flies in the face of what I have been discussing in this book, but it is me and it is the way I operate. I have suffered Vertigo in the past that was a result of needing to control all my world surveyed. While working on releasing control, the universe quickly presented me with situations where I definitely was not in control of what was happening around me. And low and behold, the world did not go to ruin, the situations righted themselves and I had the opportunity to welcome the sense of freedom that flowed. It taught me to create space for the unexpected. It taught me to create space for change. It taught me to create space to look at situations from a different perspective. If I had continued to hold such a tight grip on control, I am sure the dis-ease I was building in my body would have severely affected my health; both physical and mental. The difference now is that although I work at being productive, not busy, I have learned to let go of the control and give myself the freedom to accept that whatever the result, it is what is meant to be. And change does not need to be that big. You can create little bits of space for new things to come your way. You do not have to change your whole life in one giant leap. You just must make a decision to do so and start taking the appropriate steps.https://janeenvosper.com/good-girls-d...https://www.linkedin.com/in/janeenvos... https://www.facebook.com/speechperfect/ https://www.instagram.com/speechperfect/ https://twitter.com/VosperJaneen

S2 Ep 12S2 Ep12: Business Bite - How To Overcome Fear of Success

An Extract from Being Unstoppable - Remember When Life Gets Challenging, "You've Got This" 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝟰 - 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗬𝗕𝗢𝗢𝗞 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗘 '𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝗜𝘁 𝗔𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱' You have probably heard many of these platitudes before. • There are no wrong choices in life, just lessons to learn. • Follow your heart and let your true self shine. • Life is not meant to try you; it is meant to shape you. • What the mind can conceive and believe, and the heart desire, you can achieve. • What does not kill you makes you stronger. There are hundreds of them with the direct purpose to motivate and inspire. And they do. But clichés, quotes, and affirmations alone are not enough to achieve that profound sense of being unstoppable. It is about recognising your fears and turning them into positives instead. And once you have, it is about taking action. There is debate around whether fear of success is real or simply an excuse to procrastinate. An interesting concept that I am sure many could relate to, but there are many real reasons people fear success. One of these is: - Being in the spotlight Although avoiding the limelight might feel like a good strategy to control your anxiety, in the long run, you are teaching yourself that you cannot handle being in the spotlight. Turn it around by gradually introducing yourself into situations in which others are focused on you will help you overcome your fears. Now do not get me wrong. S2 Ep 10S2 Ep10: Business Bite - Why We All Need Help to Succeed

An Extract from Being Unstoppable - Remember When Life Gets Challenging, "You've Got This"𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝟑 - 𝐑𝐔𝐋𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐃𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐘𝐍𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐒𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬 𝐀𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞“If you are successful, it is because somewhere, sometimes, someone gave you a life or an idea that started you in the right direction. Remember also that you are indebted to life until you help some less fortunate person, just as you were helped.” Melinda GatesYou may have heard the comment “that you are the net worth of people you associate with the most.” Meaning emotionally, physically, and financially. If you spend your time with people who are negative, blame others for their problems, and don’t aspire to be more than they are, there is a good chance you will be of the same mindset…or more debilitating…constantly fighting against it.Nobody succeeds without someone giving them some hope or a break. Nobody exists in a vacuum, and nobody succeeds in one either. You cannot fail alone as much as you cannot succeed alone. Pay close attention to the people around you and if they are not supporting you and your growth, you may need to review the time spent with them.https://janeenvosper.com/good-girls-d...www.janeenvosper.com +61 413940117 https://www.linkedin.com/in/janeenvos... https://www.facebook.com/speechperfect/ https://www.instagram.com/speechperfect/ https://twitter.com/VosperJaneen
