What Happens To Your Digital Footprint After You Die?

Have you ever wondered what happens to your online presence after you die? Now with technology like AI and holograms, we're seeing a rise in reanimations to create a version of someone deceased to interact with long after they're gone. We've seen Tupac and Michael Jackson appear via hologram at concerts, Kim Kardashian's famous father was immortalised as a birthday present to her and just last year The Beatles released a new single using AI technology to isolate John Lennon's voice from a late 1970's demo. But how would you feel if someone reanimated you using your digital footprint? In this episode of The Quicky we take a look at the moral and ethical arguments around what to do with your digital remains. Want to try our new exercise app? Best Of: The Disease That's Killing 20 Aussie Women, Everyday

The Quicky will be back with new episodes from January 15, but until then here’s one of our favourite episodes of this year. Thank you so much for being a part of The Quicky in 2023. Almost every hour of everyday an Australian woman dies of heart disease. On average, that equates to 20 women a day. Every February, Heart Research Australia dedicates a month to heart research - they call it RedFeb. On top of asking for people to wear red and donate, they're raising awareness for the under diagnosis and lack of treatment for women with heart disease. In this episode of The Quicky, we look at the risk factors that specifically affect women, and what you can do to look after your heart health. Subscribe to Mamamia GET IN TOUCH Feedback? Why The U.S Is Holding Back A Gaza Ceasefire

Yesterday three Prime Ministers, including our own, came together to call for a sustainable ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. The call came as the UN General Assembly voted overwhelmingly to demand the same, in a strong show of global support for ending the Israel Hamas war. But Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said a ceasefire is not an option. In this episode of The Quicky, we look at what it will take to make a ceasefire happen - is international pressure enough to force Israel and Hamas to lay down their weapons? End Of Year Burnout Is Real But What Type Are You Experiencing?

There seems to be two types of people through the month of December. The first are full of festive spirit, excited for the parties and socialising, soaking up those finish line vibes. The others are in full burn out mode, dragging themselves to the end of the month with less optimism and more dread about what the next few weeks look like. And while you might fit into the latter, there are actually three very distinct types of burnout that extend beyond a feeling of being tired or too busy. In this episode of The Quicky, we look at the three types of burnout and how to combat them to start afresh in 2024. Subscribe to Mamamia GET IN TOUCH Feedback? We’re listening!
