Sunday marked the start of NAIDOC Week 2024 here in Australia. It's a time to celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Straight Island People.

And while there are so many things to celebrate, there’s also still so much for non-Indigenous Australians to learn about, like the significance of a Smoking Ceremony.

The traditional custom is much more than just something you’ve probably seen before the start of major sporting or music events.
