"Finch" is a post-apocalyptic science fiction film starring Tom Hanks as a dying man who builds a robot named Jeff to take care of his dog once he's gone. At age 83 years old, Ridley Scott is at the top of his game, crafting large-scale medieval epics that most Hollywood directors wouldn't even dream of attempting. "Titane" has had a tremendous amount of buzz since its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, where it went on to win the coveted Palme d'Or. Robert Levon Been's father, Michael Been, previously worked with filmmaker Paul Schrader on "Light Sleeper" back in 1992. Now, nearly 30 years later, Schrader reached out to the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club musician for the music on his latest film, "The Card Counter." Initially, Robert was supposed to deliver one song. However, the collaboration with Paul led to Robert creating all of the music for the movie, which now stands as his first credit as a composer for film. "Language Lessons" premiered at this year's Berlin International Film Festival and has been steadily growing in buzz ever since, thanks to its positive audience reception and strong reviews. The film now releases this weekend from Shout Factory! and maybe the most wholesome movie made during the pandemic, showing the platonic friendship and affection two people have for each other during the most difficult time of their lives.
