There was also a sharp increase in transportation, construction, and warehousing employment. The President’s push to onshore jobs here in the United States is working. We allowed ourselves to be transformed from a cast iron economy which made things into a largely paper economy which depends on the good graces of foreign nations for its own survival. This is a recipe for civilizational suicide.  We don’t make our own weapons, food, machines, vehicles, plastics, medicines, or computers. The whole COVID insanity, with its shutdowns and shortages and supply-chain chaos, was a blaring alarm warning us that the economy we thought was so strong was shockingly fragile. Imagine a prosperous farmer, now surrounded by enemies and competitors, who over time outsourced most farming activities to his neighbors because they could do the work and provide the materials more cheaply than he could. He sold off his equipment and laid off his farm-hands because it was just easier and less expensive for others to do the work and maintain the machinery. But one day, his neighbors said no more, and now he finds himself in the position of being unable to fertilize his land, or plow his fields, or harvest his crops. Even if he had kept his old tractors and implements, he sold off all his welding equipment and spare parts and raw materials, so repairing anything would be impossible. On top of that, he doesn’t remember all that much about repairing the equipment anyway because he hasn’t done it for years. So now he finds himself in control of once-fertile and productive land that he can’t utilize, and the people he used to rely on for help now refuse to lift a finger, because they see an opportunity to bankrupt their old neighbor and business partner, allowing them to buy up all that land for themselves at fire sale prices. That’s where America now is as a country. We stripped our economy down and sold it for parts, happy to have the cash in our pockets and ignorant of the possibility the good times could ever end.  Trump has understood these dynamics for decades, and is trying to reset our priorities to give us an economy that isn’t built on a foundation of paper. That requires resetting all of our trade relationships and recreating the conditions that built an economy and civilization that together were the envy of the world. There will of course be some short-term pain as part of that process. Muscles must ache before they grow stronger. All three branches of our government — legislative, executive, and judicial — have to respect the Constitution’s clear separation of powers. If one of them doesn’t, there’s no reason that the others should. If you have cities like Boston saying the Supremacy Clause means nothing then government is over right? Our borders are fungible.  If the Supreme Court can simply disregard the Executive branch’s constitutional authority and allow it to be usurped by an inferior federal court, which is what happened, then there’s no reason the Executive branch under Trump should pay any attention to what the Supreme Court says in this case, because it’s trying to assert an authority it simply doesn’t have. It is a sin against charity. They have to stop this. Secede – this is the wrong way to go about it. We transferred border control to the Feds, that was the agreement. If one state has to do it, then ALL states have to do it. Alito  is right to be stunned. Here is a case in which a district judge, Ali, is explicitly claiming for himself executive authority to disburse federal funds and determine the time and manner in which the funds will be disbursed — powers clearly vested not in the judiciary but in the executive branch, that is, with President Trump. Ali simply brushed aside the Trump administration’s argument that sovereign immunity barred the enforcement order and arrogated to himself the right to exercise executive powers.  This on its own should be reason enough for the Trump administration to ignore the Supreme Court’s decision to let the lower court’s order stand. But there’s other problems too, like the fact that the lower federal court in this case lacks jurisdiction. Contract disputes with the federal government are only supposed to be heard by the Court of Federal Claims, not a D.C. district judge. Among other things, this means Ali’s order requires President Trump to violate existing federal law. I’m going to say this again, less censuring of those like Al Green and more firing and impeaching.  You have time to censure Al Green, you have time to impeach Judge Ali. Will Judge Roberts go to the White House and force President to write the check? This is going nowhere b/c Trump won’t write that check. The most serious problem, though, is this pernicious notion that any district judge, anywhere in the country, can dictate to the executive branch what it must or must not do, under the guise of issuing a temporary restraining order or a universal injunction in a pending case.  Biden just ignored SCOTUS ruling on Student Forgiveness did he not? (Luckily, the government took quick action to remedy this catastrophe: It now hides the results. Yes, the TSA’s pass/fail rate is “classified” information.) TSA screening accomplishes nothing except to waste 400 million hours of Americans’ time every year. Four hundred million hours. The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, notes that the resettlement program isn’t even foreign aid. It’s a domestic program to help newly arrived refugees — who arrive legally after being vetted overseas — meet initial needs such as housing and job placement. This is a scandal of epic proportion.  The lawsuit names the departments of State and Health and Human Services as well as their respective secretaries, Marco Rubio and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Both departments have roles in delegating resettlement work to the bishops conference. The USCCB said it is still awaiting about $13 million in reimbursements for expenses prior to Jan. 24. As of Jan. 25, it said, there were 6,758 refugees assigned by the government to USCCB’s care that had been in the country less than 90 days, the period of time for which they’re eligible for resettlement aid. Why does he keep calling the PM a governor?  Because what if Canada isn’t a foreign nation at all? What if it’s simply North America’s 51st republic, temporarily operating under the illusion of independence? Look closer to home. Imagine. What about the Republic of Florida? There were 64 passengers on that plane, as of right now there were no survivors found. That water in the Potomac River is too cold honestly for survivors to have lasted more than a few minutes. This isn’t the first time that a plane has crashed into the Potomac River. Flight 90 and that was in 1982. We pray for the souls of the people on that flight. Who was in charge of the training mission? The Black Hawk made 6 course corrections or changes. This was supposed to be a training exercise. I wish a military guy would call in and let us know what they think about this situation. The Black Hawk did not have its ADSB turned on. It tells the air traffic control tower where they are in the air. It is like a little radar box that tells any aircraft in the area their location. Something just doesn’t sound right or fit right. HEADLINE: American Airlines plane crash: Dozens feared dead after collision with Black Hawk helicopter in Washington DC by Elena Salvoni, Joe Hutchinson and Nick Allen Officials have not said how many people died in the accident but have suggested that there may be no survivors. It is the first major commercial air crash in the US in 16 years. This is just a tragedy any way you look at it. The American Airlines flight has the blinking lights and the bright front landing lights. I don’t know what the side of these planes look like as far as lights go though. When you are on your final approach the stewardess will make you open your shades. How can this helicopter pilot NOT see this massive airplane?
