Episode 276: Crackpots
EWARNING: This episode of The Humanist Report will discuss right-wing nut jobs such as Marjorie Taylor Green, the MyPillow CEO and Dave Rubin as well as AOC haters and COVID deniers. Overexposure to these crackpots may result in brainrot and/or a temporary drop in IQ. Please listen responsibly (or skip to the end of the show to hear our brilliant conversation with Seattle City Council member Kshama Sawant).

Episode 275: The Biden Era Begins
EIt’s a new era in American politics: late stage capitalism and U.S. imperialism now has a kinder, more gentle feel to it. Thank you, daddy Biden! </decency restored> On a more serious note we will actually assess the first week of Joe Biden’s presidency, the status of our $2000 checks, and how the healthcare debate will take shape in the era of Democratic control of government. Enjoy the show, folks.

Episode 274: The Trump Era Is Over
EIn this episode we’ll talk about the end of the Trump era and Joe Biden’s inauguration. What should we expect from Joe Biden? How will Bernie Sanders use his role as Senate Budget Committee Chairman to pressure the Biden Administration? Was the chuds’ reaction to Biden’s inauguration as unhinged as we all expected? We’ll discuss all of this in a short—but hopefully sweet—episode of the program.

Episode 273: Orange Giant
EIn this episode we’ll discuss the after math of the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol including impeachment, GOP co-conspirators, how it became a COVID super spreader event, and more.

Episode 272: Chud Circus
EIn our first episode of 2021 we discuss the madness that took place when a pro-Trump mob swarmed the U.S. Capitol. We’ll also talk about leftist infighting and the #ForveTheVote drama, Julian Assange, Jacob Blake, far right Covidiots and more!

Episode 271: Don’t Look Back
EIt’s our final episode of the year and to say goodbye to 2020 we’ll have a jam-packed episode featuring our 5th annual #THRAwards show, a compilation of the most memorable moments of 2020, and of course, we’ll talk about politics—a lot. Enjoy the show!

Episode 270: Corruption: As American As Apple Pie
ECorruption in D.C. is widespread, but some Republicans are taking it to the next level. We’ll discuss how Floridian Governor Ron DeSantis is going to authoritarian lengths to silence a state whistleblower; and additionally, new details emerged that essentially confirm Republican Senator David Perdue is guilty of insider trading. And to top it all off, a new report reveals the extent of Donald Trump’s crimes in Afghanistan—you’ll be disturbed by the details. These stories (and more) are discussed in this episode.

Episode 269: aMeRiCA IS BAcK
EAs fears of Trump pulling off a soft coup begin to subside, we once again direct our ire towards the Democratic Party establishment, who reminded us of their incompetence and idiocy once again. We’ll discuss President-elect Joe Biden’s awful cabinet picks as well as Obama’s hypocritical interview with Stephen Colbert; and of course, we’ll catch up with Trump’s delusional effort to pretend the election was stolen from him.

Episode 269: Back To The Old Bad Normal
EWith promising COVID-19 vaccines on the horizon and a Biden administration set to be sworn in soon, it’s looking like America may very well be soon going back to normal—the old version of normal, at least, where liberals go back to brunch while late stage capitalism continues to hollow out our democracy. Certainly, it’s better than the current state of affairs—where an unhinged fascist controls the levers of power and a pandemic ravages the world—but still far from ideal. In this episode we’ll discuss the need to actually change the status quo and not allow ourselves to become accustomed to the old normal again.

Episode 267: The Right-Wing's Rejection Of Reality
EIn this episode, we’ll continue our discussion about the prevalence of reality denialism by right-wingers as they lurch further and further to the right—and the election isn’t the only aspect of reality they’re rejecting. Republicans are carving out their own reality and attempting to force us all to live in it. We’ll discuss that—and more—in this episode.

Episode 266: Orange Man Mad
EThe election is finally over. Now… we deal with the aftermath, including Trump’s refusal to concede, the Democratic Party establishment’s predictable blame game, as well as what we can expect from the first 100 days of Joe Biden’s presidency.

Episode 265: The Election
EYou know what time it is—it’s election time—and we’ve got you covered on this episode. We’ll talk about the lead up to the election, the results as well as our post-election analysis. Enjoy!

Episode 264: Pack The Court
EWith the election less than a week away Democratic Senators have a choice to make: continue to get steamrolled by a rogue, far right Republican Party or actually FIGHT. In this episode we’ll discuss the confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett and make the case for expanding the Supreme Court. Additionally, Trump is already sowing doubts about the legitimacy of Tuesday’s election while Bernie Sanders makes a play for a spot in Biden’s administration. We’ll discuss the lead up to the most consequential election in modern history and close the show with some expectations about a future Biden administration, or *barf* four more years of Trump. We’re in for a wild ride—buckle up!

Episode 263: Socialism Trumps Fascism
EIn this episode we’ll talk about the historic election in Bolivia, where Evo Morales’ socialist party (MAS) won in a landslide victory. We’ll then pivot to the U.S. election that’s quickly approaching and discuss the current race between Joe Biden and Donald Trump. These topics and more will be discussed in this show—enjoy!

Episode 262: Aunt Lydia
EIn this episode we’ll discuss the Senate’s confirmation hearings for Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, Aunt Ly—uh, ahem—Amy Coney Barrett from Gil—pardon me—the Seventh Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals. We’ll also talk about the 2020 election, stimulus talks, and we’ll close the show by talking to congressional candidates Christine Olivo and Donna Imam.

Episode 261: Outbreak In The White House
EIn this episode we’ll discuss the bizarre circumstances surrounding President Trump’s COVID-19 diagnosis as well as the reaction from his cultists. We’ll also discuss the 2020 presidential election, the Supreme Court’s new term, a spat between members of Congress, and the Vice Presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Mike Pence. Finally, we close the show by talking to 2020 congressional candidate Liam O’Mara from California.

Episode 260: Election Fatigue
EIn this episode we’ll continue our coverage of the exhausting 2020 presidential election: we’ll discuss Trump’s tax returns, his Supreme Court nominee, the first presidential debate, and much more!

Episode 259: Evil Personified
EIn this episode we’ll discuss the utter loathsomeness of the Republican Party and how they’re hellbent on destroying what’s left of American democracy. Not only are they attempting to hypocritically steal another Supreme Court seat from the Democratic Party, but Trump is encouraging his supporters to intimidate voters at the polls, William Barr is unconstitutionally attempting to criminalize protests across the country, and Trump continues to make outrageously insensitive comments about COVID-19. Ghoulish doesn’t even begin to describe the modern Republican Party. Also, U.S. Senate candidate Paula Jean Swearengin returns to the show after being endorsed by Senator Bernie Sanders to discuss the state of her race against Shelley Moore Capito.

Episode 258: Hell World
EIn this episode we’ll discuss the wildfires ravaging the west coast as well as the 2020 election—including Trump’s insane interview with Fox News’ Judge Jeanine Pirro and his ABC News town hall where he humiliated himself. We’ll also discuss the Democratic Party’s undemocratic campaign against the Green Party and hear from a multi-millionaire about how “hard” it is to be rich.

Episode 257: Unrest | Episode 257
EIn this gigantic episode we’ll discuss the civil unrest across the country, Biden’s response to Trump’s attacks, the 2020 general election, and we’ll also have 2020 congressional candidate Adam Christensen on the show!

Episode 256: The RNC Horror Show
EIn this episode we’ll discuss the utter insanity that took place at the 2020 RNC Convention. We’ll also discuss the shooting of Jacob Blake followed by the protests that took place, the 2020 election between Joe Biden and Donald Trump, the primary elections coming up in Massachusetts, and more!

Episode 255: Convention Depression
EIt’s the week of the DNC Convention so of course we’ll be making fun of the most stupid and cringeworthy moments. We’ll also talk about Trump’s continued assault on the U.S. Postal Service and how this may impact the 2020 election in a substantial way if the Democratic Party doesn’t take immediate action. We’ll also talk about the return of the birther movement, Cardi B’s interview with Joe Biden, the Democratic Party’s plans for healthcare reform, and more!

Episode 254: Poisonous Politics & P-Words
EThis episode has something for everyone: electoral sabotage, politically motivated smear jobs, QAnon Republicans, Dave Rubin, and of course, P-words! American politics seems more toxic than it usually is, but at least we’re all experiencing these glitches in the simulation we’re all probably in together, right? We’ll discuss Trump’s attacks on social security and mail-in voting, Kamala Harris, the allegations against Alex Morse and Shahid Buttar, and we’ll close the show by talking to Melba Pearson and David Kim.

Episode 253: Democracy In Decline
ETrump takes his attacks on mail-in voting to the next level. We’ll talk about his scheme to sabotage mail-in voting by kneecapping the U.S. Postal Service. We’ll break down the dangers this poses and also discuss the Trump Organization investigation, Trump’s unintentionally hilarious interview with Axios, and whether or not his demand to reopen schools applies to his own son, Barron Trump. We’ll also talk about Chris Murphy’s coup confession, the Kentucky Senate race, anti-maskers, MSNBC and Fox News’ bias, Biden’s brain, Cori Bush’s victory and much more.

Episode 252: Demand Better
EThe Democratic Party continues to fail Americans at a time when we need a competent opposition Party more than ever. The DNC platform committee is overwhelmingly rejecting progressive proposals such as Medicare For All and weed legalization, resulting in a likely rebellion at the convention in August. Additionally, as Americans face a looming eviction crisis, congressional Democrats keep caving to the demands of the Republican Party. We’ll also talk about Elon Musk’s “trolling” of the left, Joe Rogan’s rant against video games, Ben Shapiro’s anti-empathy tirade, Trump’s jealousy of Dr. Fauci, and more. Finally, we’ll close the show by talking to a 21-year old candidate for Florida’s House of Representatives named Elijah Manning.

Episode 251: American Authoritarianism
EThe prospect of authoritarianism in America is no longer a matter of ‘if’ or ‘when’—it’s here. Trump’s ongoing occupation of Portland, and threat to deploy federal agents to more cities, shows how powerful and tyrannical the Executive branch has become. To make matters worse, there’s little hope his rogue and brazenly unconstitutional actions can (or actually will) be reigned in. This is authoritarianism—full stop. On that note we’ll talk about what could happen if he refuses to step down in the event he loses the election in November, his backtracking on COVID-19, and the hilariously clueless attack strategy he’s using against Joe Biden. We’ll close the show by talking to Jessica Scarane, who’s running for the U.S. Senate against Chris Coons in Delaware, and we’ll conclude the episode by remembering the life of the great Michael Brooks.

Episode 250: Fascist Trash
ETrump actually followed through on his threat to violently quell protests and override governors; however, instead of using the military he’s deployed DHS and ICE agents to protests in Seattle, D.C. and Portland, Oregon under the guise of defending statues. Federal agents have remained in Portland in spite of Governor Kate Brown’s objections. We’ll talk about this fascistic escalation. Also, Trump’s brain continues to melt, COVID continues to spread, Joe Biden offers the left something good, and progressives win big in Texas. Finally, we’ll close the show by talking to 2020 congressional candidate Jen Perelman in Florida’s 23rd congressional district, who’s running against the notoriously corrupt Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

Episode 249: COVID For All
ETrump’s administration has officially given up the fight against COVID-19, with White House staffers reportedly hoping Americans will become “numb” to the deaths caused by the pandemic. That approach (or lack thereof) paired with Trump’s supporters actively fighting against mask mandates and shaming responsible people that choose to wear masks has culminated in an absolute disaster for the country. Additionally, Trump’s administration is pressuring governors to resume school in the fall as normal. We’ll discuss Trump’s COVID-19 failures as well as other news and close the show by talking to comedian Twitch streamer and YouTuber Lance from The Serfs.

Episode 248: Trump Is Flailing
EIt’s evident Trump is worried about the election in November; and rather than trying to propose policy solutions to appeal to working Americans, he’s choosing to go along with his usual strategy of lying, whining, and sucking himself off. We’ll talk about his catastrophe of a town hall on Fox News, his behavior on Twitter as well as his response to COVID-19 (which is somehow getting even worse). Additionally we’ll discuss the Kentucky Democratic primary, Jamaal Bowman’s interview on CNN, and more. We’ll close the show by talking to congressional candidate Chris Armitage as well as authors Patrick Cote and Joy Marie about their satirical book parodying resistance liberals.

Episode 247: Trump F*ck Ups
ETrump’s down in the polls, his Tulsa rally flopped, and he’s becoming more irritable by the day. We’ll discuss his unhinged Tulsa rally, whether or not he slowed down testing for COVID-19, his lies about mail-in voting, and more. Additionally we’ll talk about the arctic heatwave, the efficacy of masks in stopping the spread of COVID-19, Breonna Taylor, and the primary election results from Kentucky and New York. We’ll also close the show by talking to 2020 congressional candidate Donna Imam once again.

Episode 246: 1 Step Forward, 2 Steps Back
EIn this episode we’ll focus on civil rights including the Supreme Court’s ruling on workplace discrimination for members of the LGBTQIA+ community, along with Trump’s rule change that opens the door to discrimination against transgender Americans in healthcare. We’ll also continue our coverage of Black Lives Matter (including Rayshard Brooks, Robert Fuller, and Malcom Harsch), why we must #DefundThePolice, medical bills COVID-19 survivors are getting, the race between Eliot Engel and Jamaal Bowman, and finally, close out the show by talking to 2020 congressional candidate Isiah James who gives us a campaign update and brilliantly breaks down why simply “reforming” the police isn’t going to suffice.

Episode 245: Trump’s America Burns
EIn this episode we’ll continue our coverage of the nationwide #BlackLivesMatter protests and discuss more police abuse as well as the urgent need to defund the police. We’ll also grapple with other potential solutions and talk about the impact these protests are having on the 2020 general election. We’ll also discuss key primary races involving Ed Markey, Mitch McConnell and Eliot Engel and close the show by talking to 2020 congressional candidate Lisa Savage, who explains how ranked choice voting in Maine has changed the game for Green Party candidates such as herself.

Episode 244: No Justice, No Peace
EIn this episode we focus exclusively on the important conversation taking place in America that was catalyzed by the murder of George Floyd; the protests, the aftermath, and the subsequent crackdown by states and Trump, the Democratic Party’s response, and much more. #BlackLivesMatter

Episode 243: The Failed State Of America
EA pandemic is ravaging communities across the country, state-sanctioned murder of unarmed black Americans happens regularly, widespread voter suppression hasn’t been this prevalent in decades… it’s time to face the fact that America is not a democracy, nor is it a functioning regime. America is a failed state. We’ll discuss this week’s events that make that conclusion obvious—George Floyd, Trump’s attack on mail-in voting, GOP’s renewed effort to gut social security, etc.—and close the show with an uplifting interview featuring 2020 candidate for the U.S. Senate Paula Jean Swearengin.

Episode 242: Progress in a Post-Bernie 2020 Era
EBernie Sanders’ presidential campaign is over, but that doesn’t mean the left is going to stop fighting for progress. In this episode we’ll talk about the ongoing battle to change the country and how progressive congressional candidates are picking up major momentum with endorsements from Marianne Williamson (and how Elizabeth Warren is failing them). We’ll also talk to 2020 congressional candidate Kara Eastman who just won her primary and will get a rematch with Republican Don Bacon in Nebraska’s 2nd congressional district in November. She nearly beat him in 2018 and is back to finish the job. She’ll also explain how her grassroots campaign will continue to organize during a pandemic.

Episode 241: Something To Fight For
EIn this episode we’ll discuss the ongoing crisis plaguing the world as well as the political climate we’re in that makes matters even worse. Additionally, we’ll dunk on Dave Rubin, debunk Tucker Carlson’s propaganda, and also talk about Trump’s hypocrisy on vote-by-mail, Bernie and Biden’s task forces, an unexpected progressive victory, Susan Collins’ seat, Pelosi’s Heroes Act, and more.

Episode 240: I Believe Tara Reade
EJoe Biden confronts Tara Reade’s allegations publicly for the first time. We’ll talk about the aftermath of this as well as the subsequent meltdown centrists had, which lead to a fierce smear-the-victim campaign comparable to the one we saw against Dr. Christine Blasey Ford in 2018. We’ll also talk about the right-wing anti-quarantine protests, what went wrong for Bernie Sanders in 2020, and finally, we’ll close the show by talking to 2020 Green Party presidential candidate Howie Hawkins.

Episode 239: Don’t Pretend Joe Biden Is Acceptable
EIn this episode we’ll continue our coverage of Trump’s bungling of the COVID-19 pandemic and we’ll discuss calls for Bernie Sanders to unsuspend his campaign after new evidence regarding Tara Reade’s #MeToo allegations bolsters her account of what Joe Biden allegedly did to her in the 1990s. Additionally, New York’s Board of Elections effectively cancelled the Democratic Primary. We’ll discuss what progressives said in response and action Andrew Yang is taking to challenge their decision. Also, now that Bernie’s 2020 campaign is over, some of his former aides quickly became turncoats and chose to sell their souls for a career in Democratic Party politics. Finally, we’ll talk to Jordan Chariton about his bombshell report about Flint, Michigan and former Republican Governor Rick Snyder’s overt corruption.

Episode 238: Fight The Reactionary Right
EIn this episode we’ll discuss the anti-quarantine protests that swept the nation and how these reactionaries threaten us all. We’ll also discuss Joe Biden’s incompetent 2020 campaign, Democrats’ incompetence, media bias against Bernie, Fox News, Republicans’ attempt to cut social security, and more!

Episode 237: Biden’s Boot
EIn this episode we’ll talk about Donald Trump’s mishandling of the COVID-19 pandemic and also discuss Bernie Sanders’ endorsement of Joe Biden as well as the ongoing scolding by centrists that demand Bernie Bros fall in line and become bootlickers for Biden. We’ll also discuss Tara Reade’s #MeToo story, Labour’s sabotage of Jeremy Corbyn, gun girl, and we’ll speak to Dr. Harvey J. Kaye about his latest book.

Episode 235: Hell No, Joe
EIn this episode we’ll follow up with our coverage of COVID-19 and talk about the state of the 2020 Democratic Party primary and why it’s imperative that Joe Biden be defeated. We’ll also discuss a new Politico article that alleges Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is pivoting to appease the establishment as well as liberals’ pearl-clutching over Briahna Joy Gray’s tweet about healthcare.

Episode 234: End Stage Capitalism
EIn this episode we’ll talk about the utterly psychopathic response to COVID-19 by Trump’s administration and Republican pundits. Additionally, Joe Biden’s faceplants while Bernie Sanders handles this global pandemic with grace, and we’ll look at data showing how low-wage workers are disproportionately at risk of being exposed to COVID-19.

Additionally, we’ll discuss Elizabeth Warren’s ongoing attacks on Bernie Sanders, the democratic debate, and we’ll close the show by talking to 2020 congressional candidate Chris Armitage.

Episode 229: Bernie The Boogeyman
