Episode 269: Back To The Old Bad Normal

With promising COVID-19 vaccines on the horizon and a Biden administration set to be sworn in soon, it’s looking like America may very well be soon going back to normal—the old version of normal, at least, where liberals go back to brunch while late stage capitalism continues to hollow out our democracy. Certainly, it’s better than the current state of affairs—where an unhinged fascist controls the levers of power and a pandemic ravages the world—but still far from ideal. In this episode we’ll discuss the need to actually change the status quo and not allow ourselves to become accustomed to the old normal again.
