Show Notes

The prospect of authoritarianism in America is no longer a matter of ‘if’ or ‘when’—it’s here. Trump’s ongoing occupation of Portland, and threat to deploy federal agents to more cities, shows how powerful and tyrannical the Executive branch has become. To make matters worse, there’s little hope his rogue and brazenly unconstitutional actions can (or actually will) be reigned in. This is authoritarianism—full stop. On that note we’ll talk about what could happen if he refuses to step down in the event he loses the election in November, his backtracking on COVID-19, and the hilariously clueless attack strategy he’s using against Joe Biden. We’ll close the show by talking to Jessica Scarane, who’s running for the U.S. Senate against Chris Coons in Delaware, and we’ll conclude the episode by remembering the life of the great Michael Brooks.
