The Morrigan was a goddess of protection and was called in before each battle. Discover the history of trick-or-treating, costumes, the Day of the Dead (All Saints Day) and sacred sex on this day. Explore how to celebrate this holiday as a modern day witch. Trick-or-treating and going door-to-door originated in Ireland. Children would sing songs for people's dead ancestors and the neighbors would give the children little cakes in exchange for their songs. They would also wear costumes that could protect you from being seen by the dead on the other side and also hide you from the fairies and supernatural beings. Some of the history brought to the surface in this episode is of the lover's union between the God, Dagda and The Morrigan, a Celtic goddess. The sacred sex between these two always occurred on October 31st. S1 Ep 18S1 Ep18: Spell Work, Part 2
The first rule of witchcraft is, "First, do no harm." What you put out, you will receive tenfold. So intention is very important when you think of every thought and every word that you speak as being a spell. Spell work is creating your whole life as a spell and letting everything you do revolve around that intention. In this episode, discover new spells that you can do as you move through your daily life, and create new intentions to support your witchy lifestyle! Speaking your truth and living your true intention is the most important part of spell crafting. What you talk about and pay attention to is influencing your consciousness and subconsciousness all of the time. Our brain becomes hardwired from external influences and also ancestral trauma. Tuning into frequencies of love and positive energy creates a ripple effect for your future ancestors to attune themselves to and for healing to occur through your lineage. Some of the original Spell Work focused around birth and death as these were the most wondrous and miraculous transitions. You are closest to Source energy and your divine sovereignty at the veil between the worlds of the living and the dead. Some of the most powerful spells used today have similar intentions and motivations as those of your ancestors from thousands of years ago. As modern day society is opening up to magic, and baby witches are on the rise, we have opportunities to make new traditions with loving intentions. S1 Ep 17S1 Ep17: Spell Work, Part 1
Did you know that the oldest, most ancient, authentic, simplistic form of invocation and supplication to the Gods is prayer. All witchcraft, spell work and everything that we have today started with the basic 101 of prayer. Early records of people trying to appease the gods or even making offerings is how ritual and ceremony was created with the idea that we leave something for the deity or for the person that we're trying to get the attention from so that we can find favor with them. We can look at a spell and prayer as the same thing. Spell crafting is adding the craft practice to the prayer work, and together you're creating a manifestation. Ultimately, prayer, spell work, and manifesting are the same thing, and they work together like a weave. Being in the right place within yourself before doing spell work and really getting honest with yourself to how you feel about the other people in your life is how you energetically practice spell work. S1 Ep 12S1 Ep12: Tituba and Grace Sherwood, Famous Witches of North America
Join April, Harmony and Maggie as they explore two historical witches in North America. The first woman accused of being a witch in Salem, Massachussets in 1692 was Tituba, a slave woman. This launched one of the most famous witch hunts in history where twenty-five people were killed for being a witch. Ergot poisoning is the culprit to some of the visions that may have led to the witch accusations, which has a similar effect to the body as the modern day drug, LSD. Cotton Mather used the Malleus Maleficarum, The Witches Hammer, a book published in 1486 to discover who was a witch. Grace Sherwood, the witch of Pungo lived in the Virginia Beach area in the late 1600's. She was a midwife, cared for animals and had knowledge of herbs. She was accused of being a witch when her neighbor had a miscarriage. Grace was found to have two witch marks and was found guilty in a Colonial trial and sentenced to witch dunking. She wouldn't die after several attempts of dunking. She was kept in prison until 1714 and then was quietly released. Connect with the Goddesses: https://www.goddesswitchwomb.com

S1 Ep 7S1 Ep7: Medusa, The Sister Wound
Explore the goddess, Medusa, one of the Gorgons that was cursed by Athena for being raped and conceiving a child by Poseidon. Join April, Harmony and Maggie as they talk about the importance of the sister wound in history and the impact of another Goddess falling from grace. Medusa's Story: Medusa had dedicated her life to the Goddess, Athena and studied under her lineage. Medusa was famed to be a beautiful woman and had committed herself to a life of celibacy in her devotion to Athena. Poseidon desired Medusa and raped her. Instead of supporting a woman who had been raped, Athena then cursed Medusa and her two sisters. What is this sister wound about and how does it influence female relationships today. The Gorgon, the snake headed goddess, was very popular in north Africa about three-thousand years ago. Perseus kills Medussa, and Pegasus springs out of the blood from her neck. Pegasus was the child of Medusa .Perseus, also known as Jason, flies over north Africa holding Medussa's bleeding head which creates the red sea, the red sea coral, and the red serpent. The Sister Wound: Harmony shares part of her mission is to help other women to be able to be seen and heard and heal wounds of sexual rape and abuse. Woman are afraid to even press charges because they are afraid of having the finger pointed back at them from not just the patriarchy, but from their sisters, and from their mothers. We need to understand this story of Medusa so that we can use it as our strength and so we're not repeating these same historical wounds. https://www.goddesswitchwomb.com

S1 Ep 4S1 Ep: 4 Lilith, Out of the Shadows
Have you ever heard the story of Lilith? Join April, Harmony and Maggie as they talk about how Lilith was shunned, hidden and demonized. This biblical goddess is making a resurgence into main stream consciousness as one of the first divine feminine archetypes. Thankfully, the ancient Nag Hammadi scrolls that have recently resurfaced from their historical hiding place shed truth and light into her story. The Story of Lilith: Lilith has been referenced in the Kabbalah, the old testament, and in the Nag Hammadi scrolls. According to the Bible and ancient texts, Lilith was the first woman created out of the same dirt as Adam, the first man, or as another story tells it, taken from the skull bone of Adam. She no longer wanted to lay beneath Adam when having sex so Adam complained to God and she was banished from the Garden of Eden. Of course, it is under debate if Adam and Lilith were truly the first people on Earth because Lilith was banished to the land of Nod and there were people already living there. Thrown into the Shadows: One of the earliest Witch Wounds was being banished for not wanting to have sex on the bottom. Lilith continued to be demonized as her story was removed from Biblical texts and she appears next in Medieval times where she is portrayed as the wife of Lucifer, the Devil. Lilith stood up for what she believed was equality and fairness. She has been thrown into the shadows for centuries but she is re-surging into mainstream pop culture and she should be honored as a divine feminine archetype. S1 Ep 3S1 Ep3: Religious and Sexual Witch Wounds
Join April, Harmony and Maggie as they delve deeper into the witch wound and talk about religious witch wounds and sexual witch wounds. Divine feminine birthright means you were meant to have a true expression of your life force energy, your sexual energy. These witch wounds need to be talked about and expressed in a healthy healing environment. Religious Witch Wounds: Where does the need to be good come from? Harmony shares how parts of the Bible were removed and manipulated. People go to church for many reasons including needing healing. April shares her story of being asked to leave the Seventh Day Adventist church because she was challenging the church elders in order to understand the Bible deeper. Harmony shares her story of being in a court of 12 men, religious leaders of the Mormon Church, and having to share her story of sexual abuse without feeling safe. Sexual Witch Wounds: Maggie shares how American sexual energy has been repressed and how that creates a wound that detaches you and pushes you away from your life force energy. How does one return to their sexual energy and their divine energy to feel empowered and embodied. Sexual witch wounds can be cultural, societal and/or religious conditioning. Looking at what needs to be healed will lead you into and through your witch wounds. April shares your story of sexual abuse at the age of five with a nurse. She interpreted this experience as something was wrong with her and she was shamed through this abuse as it was integrated with her psyche at a young age. Harmony shares that in a group of women you will find more that have been sexually abused than not. This is what brought Harmony into wanting to be a Womb Priestess when she found out her daughters had been sexually abused. They talk about how important it is to talk about these experiences. S1 Ep 2S1 Ep2: Opening the Witch Wound
Join Harmony, April and Maggie as they discuss the history of the symbolic witch. In this episode, they talk about how women are moving out of a survival mode from these witch wounds of the past and embracing the healing needed to thrive, not just survive. Survival Mode: Survival techniques that have been carried over from our ancestors and past lives that we have lived are needing healing and love so that women can thrive and not just survive. The conditioning of women has been influenced by our parents, religions and cultures. It is important to recognize the divinity within ourselves and to love all aspects of our journey through compassion and empathy in order to move out of a survival mode that is no longer necessary. Witch Wound: Constantine was the first Roman Emperor to convert to Christianity. He sent armies out to kill anyone who was not of the same belief system. Women at the time were treated as second class citizens. After many of their husbands were killed, the women started to brew beer and sell it on the street corners. They wore pointy hats to be seen in the crowds. This is where we see the image of the "Witch" start to form with their pointy hats, stirring a cauldron. The word "witch" meant "she who gathers sticks or herbs." During Witch trials, many women started judging and criticizing other women. They turned on each other for fear of being killed. Humanity can benefit when we heal through divine feminine empowerment energy. Collective Consciousness: The big shift happened 6000 years ago when we moved from a matrilineal society to a patrilineal society with the introduction of Zoroastrianism and monotheism. This is when the shift of power started between the feminine and the masculine. The energy in the collective consciousness holds vibrations of different layers of consciousness. There is a thread that connects everyone. We saw this consciousness thread during the Witch trials. Even without modern technology such as phones and internet, witch trials were happening at the same time in many different parts of the world. Our energetics feed the thread that connects the mass consciousness. If we all start connecting and embracing the divine feminine and resourcing ourselves with thoughts of equality, we can shift the collective consciousness. Having reverence for the Earth also helps us to appreciate Mother Earth and our physical bodies. Connect with the Witches: https://www.goddesswitchwomb.com
