Show Notes

Join April, Harmony and Maggie as they explore three historical witches in Europe, Alice Kyteler, Mother Shipton, and Aradia. The first recorded woman condemned for witchcraft in Ireland, Alice Kyteler also known as the Witch of Kilkenny, had four husbands who all died. Could they have died from ergot poisoning? Ursula Southeil, known as Mother Shipton, was a witch and prophetess who foretold the fate of rulers and the burning of London in 1666. Find out how she survived her fate as an orphan and the wrath of Henry the VIII. Aradia, daughter of Diana and Lucifer, was a Goddess known as the Queen of Witches. Her birth was supposed to herald the end of the Catholic church. She was supposed to teach witchcraft to all women on the planet to empower them, to fight back against the patriarchy. What did all these witches have in common and what were their differences? Find out in today's episode as these famous witches in Europe are revealed as healers and prophetesses.
