Ep 473What Is the Quickest Way to Become a Business Expert?

Frank Bria is a serial entrepreneur and analytics junkie with a great deal of commitment to business analytics in retail banking and marketing. He has worked alongside several technology start-up businesses and is dedicated to building mathematical optimization software for the banking industry. After 15 years in the consultancy business, Frank made the decision to start a business of his own.Frank is the host of the 6 to 7 Figures Show podcast. He is also the author of the bestselling book Scale: How to Grow Your Business by Working Less and the founder of the High-Ticket Program. This program was designed to encourage his clients to utilize a scalable program design and execution in their businesses. He also assists a significant number of entrepreneurs to design and execute their High-Ticket Programs. Now he works with businesses that are offering B2B services to create a high-level customer experience. He also uses mathematical optimization, statistics, and data analytics to improve their business performance.Listen in as they discuss:Frank’s journey to becoming a business growth expert. The three (3) key elements people get wrong when starting their business.Breaking free of your own work.Investing in someone to do the job for you.Having the mindset of a CEO.Growth as a long-term investment. And, more!Frank also shares with us how he starts off with his employees by creating a hierarchy chart and the worst advice he has heard given in scaling businesses.TIP OF THE WEEKMark: If you want to learn more about getting to that next level go to frankbria.com. My tip of the week is frankbria.com.Scott: If the system in the workflow is your thing, make sure you follow us at processmodo.com for Process Thursday every week. Every Thursday we're building others processes and maybe yours is there too.Frank: There's a book that I absolutely love that I like to recommend for anyone who's looking at their business model and making shifts in it, it's called Getting to Plan B: Breaking Through to a Better Business. Anyone who's done any serial entrepreneur work knows that Plan A never works, so if you started out a business and processes, and finds you're struggling, you're not alone. You can check the book on Amazon by John Mullins and Randy Komisar. It's a ton of great stories about large companies where they have a pivot and getting really creative about it. I think people who get out of the book start to think very creatively about what needs to change in order to become a scalable business model.Isn’t it time to create passive income so you can work where you want, when you want and with whomever you want?

And it's something I try and convey to my coaching clients because they're just kind of getting started and their big thing is, "I don't want to mess up, I don't want to make mistakes, I don't know, I don't want to get it wrong, I'm afraid to make mistakes".Want To Listen More?Did you enjoy this episode? Ep 470An Effective System To Hire and Train Exceptional Virtual Assistants

Ravi Abuvala is a successful entrepreneur and motivational speaker who is best known for developing a high ticket lead generation and scalability roadmap, and a skilled virtual assistant outsourcing system for businesses called Scaling With Systems.Ravi’s interest in business began at a very young age. In March 2016, he launched a lead generation training program, Prospect Social, for real estate agents where he assisted real estate professionals by leveraging targeted social media advertising and using a marketing funnel to generate qualified leads. In 2019, Ravi launched Scaling with Systems, to help generate qualified leads for businesses and to provide trained virtual assistant staff to interested clients. He also helps businesses automate their marketing and other business processes to save their time.Listen in as they discuss:Rovi’s journey in Scaling Systems. The process of hiring exceptional virtual assistants. How does Scaling with Systems work? The process of training virtual assistantsAnd, more!TIP OF THE WEEKMark: My tip of the week is just going to scalingwithsystems.com, and get to that next level without having to spend hours and hours, weeks months in frustration hiring, firing, and training people that may or may not work. They’re already there for you, already trained. Again, we can always make more money, we can’t get more time: know the value of your time! They want both of those big things in life to be solved; they want their money problem solved and their time problem solved. Scaling with Systems can help you do both.Scott: My tip is a book, I love this book and the concept, it’s called Who Not How: The Formula to Achieve Bigger Goals Through Accelerating Teamwork by Dan Sullivan and Benjamin Hardy. Basically, the gist of this book is, there are many times as entrepreneurs we take it all to ourselves to figure out how to go-do something and when you go to the process and start doing it you keep on thinking “How am I going to do? How am I going to do it?” But what happens in large companies, when the CEO sets a vision, the CEO doesn’t say “How am I going to do this?” the CEO says, “Who within our organization's going to do this”. If you’re focusing on HOW in your business, you’re focusing on the wrong approach. Start thinking about WHO. This book lays out a foundation and a framework to help you do just that.Ravi: I usually just tell people there’s going to be a little broad, for some reason you’re not going to come pay me, you’re not going to come to pay somebody else. The majority of their answers are going to be found on YouTube, I spend probably 1 Hour a day learning something new on YouTube. I just want to challenge everybody here, whatever course you have or whatever you’re thinking you want to do, hiring someone or firing someone just look it up on YouTube and see if the answer is there for you. A lot of times you’ll see the answer you’ve been looking for.Isn’t it time to create passive income so you can work where you want, when you want and with whomever you want?

Ep 487Are You Adding To Your Land Inventory Despite An Increase In Prices?

Joining Mark this week are:Teria HarrisMike ZainoTate LitchfieldScott BossmanErik PetersonListen in as they go around the table and talk about acquiring land while combating inflation and the approach they take to buy and sell land when there is a price increase. Also, the Land Geeks share some advice on how to tackle the market during an inflationary period and more.TIP OF THE WEEKTeria: My tip of the week is actually a tip that I gave during Bootcamp. But a couple of my coaching students just over the last two weeks had been asking me about "are these Facebook pictures?", so you're marketing your properties on Facebook, and Facebook is a free platform, a great place to market and there are some new ones there. But how many pictures do I need to post, what if I ran out of pictures, how do I navigate the pictures? Two tips: one is to go out to google and maybe google your county, and find pictures of the area. When you're posting on Facebook you don't necessarily have to have pictures of the actual property. I mean, that works but you can also post pictures of that area as long as you are clear in the body of your ad. So go out, be creative, find pictures of the area, and post. Just be honest from where you get the pictures from.Want To Listen More?Did you enjoy this episode? Listen in as they go around the table and discuss the topic “How to Build a Team For Your Business.” They each highlight effective approaches you can take to build a great team if you are getting started in the land business. Tune in to hear more!TIP OF THE WEEKScott: Loom.com is one tip of the week, but there's another one that is also good for a tip of the week. You may have to be a MAC user for this, there's an app called Session (stayinsession.com). This is an app for time management, it's kind of a Pomodoro tool that enables you to segment your day. Let's say you have something on your priority list like county research and you need to sit down and spend or focus time on county research for 25 minutes today. When you go to your timer you can block out all the other apps on your computer: type in county research, set your timer for 25 minutes, and there you go, you can focus time. You can segment your day and at the end of the day, you can see where you spent your time. It does integrate with your calendars as well.Want To Listen More?Did you enjoy this episode? Ep 480Are More Ads Better To Market A Property Or Does It Vary?

Joining Mark this week are:Erik PetersonTeria HarrisTate LitchfieldScott ToddListen in as they go around the table and discuss the number of ads to put up when marketing a property based on the marketing platform being used. They also discuss their top three marketing platforms of all time. TIP OF THE WEEKTeria: My tip of the week was going to be dud. My problem was getting spammy emails or just being on the list that I never subscribed to, so I was trying to find a good unsubscribe software that could go through and help me without having to unsubscribe individually with each one, and I found one. It worked well, for maybe 3 or 4 I was trying to unsubscribe, and after that, the fees started adding up for each time I want to unsubscribe. That was my dilemma, that was going to be my tip because the first was like, this is great, I don't have to worry about all of these emails and click, click, click; I can just unsubscribe with one button. But I don't want to pay a ton of money for it.Erik: It's been a while since I've gone through that process, but last time I did, I believe I used a service called unroll.me. That allowed me to go through and unsubscribe from a bunch of stuff, I don't remember having to pay for it, I don't know if that has changed. But maybe it can help!Mark: Mine is, hey.com. They have a thing called a screener, if you have a subscription that you don't want you can screen them out and you'll never see them again. In fact, you can subscribe to a million things and you can see what it is, and then you can just scream them out. Super easy, super simple. It's $99 a year. Ryan Frederick is a Founder and product person, an active angel investor, mentor, advisor, author, and speaker with an unbeatable track record for starting and growing many software and service companies from inception, to viability, through to sustainability. As an innate Founder and product person, he has authored two books, The Founder’s Manual: A Guidebook for Becoming a Successful Entrepreneur and Sell Naked - And Other Advice for Growing and Managing Service Firms. Ryan conducts frequent speaking engagement about product, startups, and company leadership, while devoting his time to assist all who seeks him out for mentorship, whether locally or internationally. With his many years of working with small, medium, and large scale companies, Ryan had gathered enough hands-on experience to make him one of the most highly sought-after Founders in the world. His experiences have led him to believe that many aspects of being a Founder, creating a product, and building a company are counter-intuitive. He outlines ways to deal with them in his highly acclaimed book, The Founder’s Manual.Ryan’s success is not the only facet that makes him so valuable among his peers and anyone who has ever heard his speech. His charitable launch of a non-profit workforce development program to train under-employed adults on digital skills called i.c.stars is just one of the many contributions to the betterment of those in need that makes him so valuable.Listen in as they discuss:Ryan’s journey to becoming a master Founder and products person, and how he enjoys his successes today. How to build a team that is capable of doing the things you are not good at doing.Getting your business to the place where your clients, employees, and leads feel so comfortable they develop a love of doing business with you. Check out the book, check out what he's doing.Scott: Check out sayless.email, it's a website. What you would do is just type in what you want, hit on the button and it will go back, and it will use AI to compress all the words that you're using into something that's short and sweet. And what happens when you send something short and sweet, you get a response. Use something like this to think about what you're going to say, make it stream-line, and try to get them to respond back to you.Ryan: My tip of the week is to leave people with to be intentional, be disciplined, and value that over hustle. I think this hustle narrative is sort of societally swept us, it sort of misguided a lot of people so if you're going to do something be intentional and disciplined about it. Also, one of my favorite books from my favorite author is Ryan Holiday, one of his books that I think is the best is “The Obstacle is the Way”. It talks about running through the fire, confronting problems, being comfortable with this comfort. I will highly recommend it.Isn’t it time to create passive income so you can work where you want, when you want, and with whomever you want?

Basically, you can divide into teams, departments or companies, and get regular updates from your teams especially with your virtual teams, and have connections.Patrick: My tip of the week is how to use transformational questions instead of transactional questions when you talk to people. Most people when they go out and network, they will be asking something like, "How was your week or weekend?" or "How are you doing?", the problem with that kind of questions is that you'll get a surface answer because you can answer that on auto-pilot. You'll get an answer that is not really deep and what you need to do is bring them out of the auto-pilot people's on. So instead, you can ask them "What was the best part of your weekend or week?", ask a question that gets people to think deeper and build a bond where there's a real connection, real humanity shared.Isn’t it time to create passive income so you can work where you want, when you want, and with whomever you want?

Input competitor URLs in there and login where data falls. They will tell you how much traffic they’re getting, what keywords they’re ranking for, it will give you an idea of their marketing strategy and I think that’s a great place to start because there’s so much potential in Real Estate. Especially in Real Estate Marketing Online. There are so many businesses like yours that do really well, but you’re not as big as Zillow, yet you’re still doing well and that’s okay. Most of us, 99.9% of us aren’t as big as Zillow, but yet, there are still opportunities for us. He operates from Nashville, Tennessee, and has amassed a large following of like-minded people who are either seasoned in the real estate industry or are new and need some guidance to reach their goals within a set time frame. As an entrepreneur at heart, Bill made his first move as a businessman, selling candies when he was only in middle school. An action that got him in trouble with the rules, but never dampened his love for owning and operating his own business. Pausing his business ventures, he went on to serve his country for 18 years as a Navy pilot, but his love for business would see him venturing into real estate after completing active duty and transferring to the Reserves. The introduction to real estate was a bitter-sweet experience for Bill who started by buying and renting a few houses, in the hopes that he could achieve financial freedom and plan early retirement. At first, his sole focus was on buying rental properties in Pensacola, Florida; however, the 20% bank loan interest rates and recurrent costs of property management forced him to rethink his strategy when he acquired his tenth house and saw that the profit wasn’t adding up to what he had in mind. Going back to the drawing board, in 2014 he sold one of the properties he’d initially purchased to rent out and made a surprising $43,000. That’s when the idea of flipping houses struck him and he decided to diversify his investment portfolio. Only a year later, in 2015, Blackjack Real Estate LLC was created; a wholesale company that finds and assigns contracts to house flippers and landlords.Today, Bill has gotten his business to the point where he works less than 5 hours a week and enjoys more time with his friends and family, while still making the income he wants and discovering new ways to expand his income and mentor those who reach out to him. If you’re going to do that, get a partner who’s invested as much as you are into your success. ~Bob LachanceTIP OF THE WEEKMark: My tip of the week though it is actually going to make you money and save you time, ultimately save you time. Learn more go to revaglobal.com and start hiring your VA team. They are already trained, they are already vetted, they’ve got good internet, they got good hardware. Let Bob deal with all the headaches. Scott: Have you ever looked at a company logo and thought, “Man that’s a kool font”, you know… like… I don’t know… Stripe for example. They have a kool font, I think. Well, go over to this website, fontinlogo.com; when you get there, you can type in a company name—Stripe is there at the bottom, as a featured one—so if I go in there and hit Stripe, for example, what would happen is it would go out and search their database and tell me that Stripe’s font is FF Fago. If I click on the box, it gives me a link to download or get the FF Fago font. Bob: The book, Traction by Gino Wickman is a very good book. It breaks down the EOS system and one of the things that I actually gained from looking at that book is that it puts your business —it doesn’t matter if you’re by yourself, or you’re working solo, or you have a team—it puts structure around exactly how you are going to be looking at your business from now, next month, to a month after. So that is one of the things I would highly, highly recommend.Isn’t it time to create passive income so you can work where you want, when you want and with whomever you want?

There’s this new company called Swifter HQ that will generate email titles for you. It’s not a new company, they’re offering this new service I should say. But, what I like about it, it asks a lot of questions like what type of communication is this going to be: business to business, business to your clients or customers; you got to choose the product of your brand, you got to provide the description of what’s the email is going to be about, and you choose what type of email: friendly, bold or professional. And the, it will build several variations of the email title. They are offering it for free for now, you have to sign-up for an account.Mark: My tip of the week is an app called WeCroak; it is based on a thing called Bhutan ritual, they are the happiest country in the world, it is a reminder that we are mortal and it gives you a quote of your mortality. Are you ready to learn more about land investing? There were times in our business where things are going really well and things aren’t going well and it’s when those moments where we’re really frustrated, there were times we really thought this is not going to work, we’re going to give up. They also give advice and tips to compose a good deal of the week while sharing the approach they take to construct and manage their weekly deal of the week.TIP OF THE WEEKScott Bossman: There are two tips. One is fun and one practical. The practical one is everybody is always worried about water. What’s the water table like? Your buyers are worried about water, new land investors are worried about water. I’m not so much worried about water anymore but it was one of my initial worries. There is a website you can use nwis.waterdata.usgs.gov. You can search by county and area and really zoom in and see what maybe what the water table is like in a particular area. You can see how deep a well is dug in a particular area you work in.This is my fun tip of the week. Being that I work at home now, I have more time to read, listen to music, whatever. I would highly recommend listening to the 500 greatest albums of all time on rollingstone.com. It’s been very cool.
