We work in a remote environment and we don’t really bond, what if we could do Team-Bonding through Zoom. Check out the link, arc.dev/w/remote-game, if you go there for free, you can download a remote game called The Hike. Basically, it says 60-90 minutes, choose your own adventure path. The teams make decisions, they attempt to stay alive and have a good time in the process, get to work together, and get to know each other.Gene: My tip is this 80/20 Sales and Marketing book by Perry Marshall, one of the things I struggled with personally is growing my business and even in Real Estate I’m getting the sense that for the symbol of Real Estate Agents, in my area it’s $68M a year in sales for Real Estate Agents are closed by me. It’s the sealing, and what I mean by that is that one person to handle that business sort of running out of time, If you’re not in Real Estate and if you’re selling land or you’re in a restaurant business, I want you to think about what do you think you’re sealing is. That sealing is “when and why am I running” and I start to realize that this is not what I got in this business because I’m working too many hours and I can’t seem to surpass this number. When you get to that point, read chapters 15 and 16 in this book and keep it real simple.WANT TO LISTEN MORE?Did you like this episode? They also discuss whether or not pictures are an all-time necessity to market a property and on what occasions can an aerial view or GIS image of the property be used for marketing.TIP OF THE WEEKTeria: My tip is for pictures, a website that has a really good quality called unsplash.com, they're free. You can download them. You can find that they may represent your property as long as you are clear in the property details. Another thing that we've done, we had someone go out to the property and take a video of it, and then create pictures from the video. We just run the video and take a screenshot. So we do hire someone to go out and take pictures and videos.Want To Listen More?Did you enjoy this episode? There’s one dashboard that will show you all of the websites that are referring you to the traffic and how much they’re sending you. Check out mentioned.app, go there, and sign up for a free account. It will track who is sending you traffic, how much they’re sending you and you’ll get notified by email whenever you get some new traffic from a referral source.Steve: In the world of online marketing, seldom do opportunities come in a way that they came with the advent of the internet with Instagram, with Facebook, and with some of those platforms that allowed us all no matter where we are on the planet and to be able to connect in a deeply meaningful way. We talked about it a little bit earlier, but I have not seen anything like clubhouse in a long time. And there is an early adapter opportunity here that if you put six months into the platform, it’s very addicting and you’ll see that it can suck your life away with the quickness, but if you’re intentional on how you invest your time on the platform, I have confidence that six months in can pay dividends in quite some time. So this is an opportunity.WANT TO LISTEN MORE?Did you like this episode? Therefore, google that so you’ll remember my favorite restaurant, and when you go to Hawaii go to Alan Wong's Restaurant.Paul: My tip is Carrot-Egg-Coffee, it's a Mike Zaino thing, it’s a mindset thing. It’s actually a story- a carrot, egg, and coffee beans put into a pot with water then was boiled for 15 minutes. Are you going to be a carrot that was hard but once put in the boiling water or in an environment you come out soft or an egg that was soft at first then when you come out from an environment you’ve become hard or are you going to change the environment, be a coffee that can change what’s going around you? Ep 495Learn How To Build and Grow Wealth with Aaron Scott Young
Aaron Scott Young is a lifelong entrepreneur, trusted advisor, and business owner. He discovered his passion and talent for entrepreneurship early in life, and at age 18, he formed a recycling company in Portland, Oregon. He grew the company to 5,000 customers before selling it to become one of the first cellular phone dealers in Portland. For over 34 years, his garnered experiences from founding, acquiring, and directing multi-million dollar businesses as well as working as an officer for a publicly traded, multi-national company, have set him apart from the crowd as a trusted advisor of knowledge and authority. Today, Aaron is the CEO of Laughlin Associates, a pioneer in the incorporation industry that has helped over 100,000 entrepreneurs start, grow and profit from their business. He has made it his life’s work to arm other business owners with success formulas that immediately provide exponential growth and protection for their business.Listen in as they discuss:Aaron’s journey to developing wealth.Elements of a strong and successful business. What you need to grow your business.Qualities of a successful entrepreneur.Formulas to incorporate into your business. And, more!TIP OF THE WEEKMark: My tip of the week is going to be about reinforcing real wealth; not to solve your money problems, solve your time problems, and become an unshackled business owner. Learn more, go to aaronscottyoung.com.Scott: My tip is a book called Dare to Lead: Brave Work, Tough Conversations, Whole Hearts by Rene Brown.Aaron: At the beginning of the year, I go back either re-read or re-listen to The Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason. The principles taught in the Richest Man in Babylon are easy ways to think about how to manage money, debt, relationship, how to look at a long game, and if you look at a long game how to follow a recipe. Here’s a thing, if you follow a recipe don’t get greedy and stupid, just do things that are reasonable. Don’t try to get rich quick, if you’re making 10% 15% or 20% on an investment that’s great! Celebrate! Don’t think you have to double and triple every year. Macs sometimes have Airdrop but it’s not always convenient so check out SnapDrop.net. All you do is open it up on your browser and you’ll see this in the middle of your computer that says Coral Pipe (maybe your says something else), and what will happen is, if I go to another device around me like my phone for example, and go to SnapDrop.net it will now see through the internet connection the other computer. If I drop a picture or file through there, it will move it to the other device seamlessly.Kirk: The one thing I think that has been the most productive for me this year is the book called The 12 Week Year by Brian P. Moran. It is so good, it helped me basically take a full year's worth of productivity and jamming into one quarter. I got all my year goals accomplished this year in the first quarter, it was amazing and I’m still shocked that I was able to do that. That is one of the books that I love and I’m spending the next two weeks re-reading it again to make sure I can do it again this year.WANT TO LISTEN MORE?Did you like this episode? Ep 451An Easy Way To Understand Your Target Demographic
Josh Culler is the owner and founder of Culler Media and podcast host of REI Marketing Weekly and The Content Marketing Playbook. Also, he is a sought-after mentor and an active real estate investor. He has been in the real estate investing industry for seven (7) years and has helped hundreds of investors in their marketing efforts.Like many successful people before him, he didn’t go to school to study real estate in the effort to find a job. He was introduced to real estate at 19 years old by the father of his close friend. At the time, he just wanted a job that offered him the opportunity to be the creative genius that he is and make good money at the same time. After working for a while with several competitors, real estate investors, and clients, Josh discovered that he had a deep passion for content marketing and video production. Putting the other aspects of real estate on the backbench, he focused on strengthening his content marketing skills, which led to him zeroing in on a sore point for many real estate industry folks, video production. Through many successes and failures, he was able to break down the mammoth tasks of successful content marketing into simple, easy to follow steps that guarantee the best ROI.With his infectious personality and headstrong drive for success, Josh connects with his target demographic and clients on a friend-to-friend level. This skill of understanding your demography and maintaining open communication is one he aspires to teach all who seek him for guidance and mentorship. Through his company, Culler Media, he has positively impacted hundreds of people and aims to reach thousands, even millions more. Listen in as they discuss:Josh’s journey into real estate and the successes he enjoys presently.Recognizing your strengths and capitalizing on them.Learning when to let go of strategies that inconvenience you and your business. The benefits of hiring experts in specific fields you are weak in, despite your drawbacks about spending money out of your pocket. Taking time to delegate low priority tasks to competent colleagues/employees and focusing on the high priority tasks. Studying your audience to determine your target demographic and the content that is widely consumed by them. Keeping an active line of communication with your target demographic to grow your following and prospective client list. And, more!Every quatre is like dog years when it comes to marketing because it evolves so quickly. ~Josh CullerTIP OF THE WEEKMark: My tip of the week actually can move the needle in your life. Start blowing up your content marketing, learn your target audience, and where and what is going to be the most receptive message for them, then go to cullermedia.com.Scott: If you like money and want more of it then you have to read The 1-Page Marketing Plan that Josh Culler mentioned.Josh: My tip of the week is: create relevant content for your target demographic. When it comes to creating contextual; relevant content for your target demographic is going to take you far above what you could possibly imagine when it comes to competing with your competitors. That could be several mediums like writing, video, podcast, etc. This is why knowing your target demographic is so important because if your target demographic is not listening to your podcast then don't put it on your podcast. If they're not reading articles don't put it in your articles. Creating contextual marketing to your target demographic that is relevant to them is important. The purest definition of content marketing is answering the questions of your target demographic or audience has about your industry, services, or products.Isn’t it time to create passive income so you can work where you want, when you want and with whomever you want?

As long as you’re responsible, get on a call with Rachel & Bruce. Learn more, themoneyadvantage.com.Scott: A lot of times you get this PDF document and you have to make some edits to it. If you don’t have a PDF editor on your computer, go to a little website called cloudconvert.com. Upload your file, you can edit to your heart’s content and download it. Rachel: Go read the book The Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason. It’s super easy to read but I love that it is very foundational, financial principles and it starts with Set thy Purse to Fattening. It is the idea of paying yourself first and if you are building that foundational savings, have it. You’re really going to set yourself, head and shoulders above anything, any other strategy. It’s really focusing on what financial principle do I want in place in my life. After you have a principle then you can have a strategy to accomplish your goals, and then look at the tactics or the financial products. That is where the book can start laying out the foundational principles for you.Bruce: My tip is, to consume everything you possibly can consume from Dan Sullivan Strategic Quotes because Dan’s whole mindset is about wanting to set your life up so that you’re in a business setting whether as an employee or as a business owner or investor. You want to set your whole life up where you’re taking your own abilities so you never need to retire. Because as Dan says, when you look at the word retire means take out of service, so you’re no longer useful. Strategic quotes from Dan Sullivan, I would consume as much stuff as you can, and for the entrepreneurs out there 10x Multiplier Mindset Podcast (10x Talk Podcast) with Joe Polish & Dan Sullivan is very valuable for people.Want To Listen More?Did you enjoy this episode? It's a book called Happy Money by Elizabeth Dunn and Dr. Michael Norton. It's not about building wealth, it's about if you have a dollar what is the best thing you can do with it that will actually lead to more fulfillment and happiness, and it's all based on research. And The Simple Path to Wealth: Your Road Map to Financial Independence and a Rich, Free Life by JL Collins is the single-best primer I've read that matches my philosophy for how one would use the public markets to build wealth. It explains compounding interest on how we retire on passive income in more detail than I've ever read before. Another great book is The Psychology of Money: Timeless lessons on wealth, greed, and happiness by Morgan Housel, it's mental tricks about money that we can fall prey to or we can take advantage of. Claim your copy today!Scott: My tip of the week is also a book called Am I Being Too Subtle by Sam Zell, it's straight talk from a business level. I like it, I like the guy's personality. Check it out!Shane: One book I really enjoyed is by Keith J. Cunningham called Keys to the Vault, some of the experts out there say he is the real Rich Dad Poor Dad behind the Robert Kiyosaki; and if you read some of his books, he's got a lot of wisdom as it relates to risk, understanding deals, deals structures whether it's raising capital or investing. Even with my own book, I think that's probably one of the best resources that I could point to your audience.Isn’t it time to create passive income so you can work where you want, when you want and with whomever you want?

Basically, he writes 40 scenarios of what happens after you die. It's really thought-provoking and really life-affirming. It's really interesting. It's like after you die, they see different versions of yourself, and they're disappointed with you.Want To Listen More?Did you enjoy this episode? Frank Bria is a serial entrepreneur and analytics junkie with a great deal of commitment to business analytics in retail banking and marketing. He has worked alongside several technology start-up businesses and is dedicated to building mathematical optimization software for the banking industry. After 15 years in the consultancy business, Frank made the decision to start a business of his own.Frank is the host of the 6 to 7 Figures Show podcast. He is also the author of the bestselling book Scale: How to Grow Your Business by Working Less and the founder of the High-Ticket Program. He also assists a significant number of entrepreneurs to design and execute their High-Ticket Programs. Now he works with businesses that are offering B2B services to create a high-level customer experience. He also uses mathematical optimization, statistics, and data analytics to improve their business performance.Listen in as they discuss:Frank’s journey to becoming a business growth expert. The three (3) key elements people get wrong when starting their business.Breaking free of your own work.Investing in someone to do the job for you.Having the mindset of a CEO.Growth as a long-term investment. And, more!Frank also shares with us how he starts off with his employees by creating a hierarchy chart and the worst advice he has heard given in scaling businesses.TIP OF THE WEEKMark: If you want to learn more about getting to that next level go to frankbria.com. My tip of the week is frankbria.com.Scott: If the system in the workflow is your thing, make sure you follow us at processmodo.com for Process Thursday every week. Every Thursday we're building others processes and maybe yours is there too.Frank: There's a book that I absolutely love that I like to recommend for anyone who's looking at their business model and making shifts in it, it's called Getting to Plan B: Breaking Through to a Better Business. Anyone who's done any serial entrepreneur work knows that Plan A never works, so if you started out a business and processes, and finds you're struggling, you're not alone. You can check the book on Amazon by John Mullins and Randy Komisar. It's a ton of great stories about large companies where they have a pivot and getting really creative about it. I think people who get out of the book start to think very creatively about what needs to change in order to become a scalable business model.Isn’t it time to create passive income so you can work where you want, when you want and with whomever you want?

And it's something I try and convey to my coaching clients because they're just kind of getting started and their big thing is, "I don't want to mess up, I don't want to make mistakes, I don't know, I don't want to get it wrong, I'm afraid to make mistakes".Want To Listen More?Did you enjoy this episode? Ep 470An Effective System To Hire and Train Exceptional Virtual Assistants
Ravi Abuvala is a successful entrepreneur and motivational speaker who is best known for developing a high ticket lead generation and scalability roadmap, and a skilled virtual assistant outsourcing system for businesses called Scaling With Systems.Ravi’s interest in business began at a very young age. In March 2016, he launched a lead generation training program, Prospect Social, for real estate agents where he assisted real estate professionals by leveraging targeted social media advertising and using a marketing funnel to generate qualified leads. In 2019, Ravi launched Scaling with Systems, to help generate qualified leads for businesses and to provide trained virtual assistant staff to interested clients. He also helps businesses automate their marketing and other business processes to save their time.Listen in as they discuss:Rovi’s journey in Scaling Systems. The process of hiring exceptional virtual assistants. How does Scaling with Systems work? The process of training virtual assistantsAnd, more!TIP OF THE WEEKMark: My tip of the week is just going to scalingwithsystems.com, and get to that next level without having to spend hours and hours, weeks months in frustration hiring, firing, and training people that may or may not work. They’re already there for you, already trained. Again, we can always make more money, we can’t get more time: know the value of your time! They want both of those big things in life to be solved; they want their money problem solved and their time problem solved. Scaling with Systems can help you do both.Scott: My tip is a book, I love this book and the concept, it’s called Who Not How: The Formula to Achieve Bigger Goals Through Accelerating Teamwork by Dan Sullivan and Benjamin Hardy. Basically, the gist of this book is, there are many times as entrepreneurs we take it all to ourselves to figure out how to go-do something and when you go to the process and start doing it you keep on thinking “How am I going to do? How am I going to do it?” But what happens in large companies, when the CEO sets a vision, the CEO doesn’t say “How am I going to do this?” the CEO says, “Who within our organization's going to do this”. If you’re focusing on HOW in your business, you’re focusing on the wrong approach. Start thinking about WHO. This book lays out a foundation and a framework to help you do just that.Ravi: I usually just tell people there’s going to be a little broad, for some reason you’re not going to come pay me, you’re not going to come to pay somebody else. The majority of their answers are going to be found on YouTube, I spend probably 1 Hour a day learning something new on YouTube. I just want to challenge everybody here, whatever course you have or whatever you’re thinking you want to do, hiring someone or firing someone just look it up on YouTube and see if the answer is there for you. A lot of times you’ll see the answer you’ve been looking for.Isn’t it time to create passive income so you can work where you want, when you want and with whomever you want?

Ep 487Are You Adding To Your Land Inventory Despite An Increase In Prices?
Joining Mark this week are:Teria HarrisMike ZainoTate LitchfieldScott BossmanErik PetersonListen in as they go around the table and talk about acquiring land while combating inflation and the approach they take to buy and sell land when there is a price increase. Also, the Land Geeks share some advice on how to tackle the market during an inflationary period and more.TIP OF THE WEEKTeria: My tip of the week is actually a tip that I gave during Bootcamp. But a couple of my coaching students just over the last two weeks had been asking me about "are these Facebook pictures?", so you're marketing your properties on Facebook, and Facebook is a free platform, a great place to market and there are some new ones there. But how many pictures do I need to post, what if I ran out of pictures, how do I navigate the pictures? Two tips: one is to go out to google and maybe google your county, and find pictures of the area. When you're posting on Facebook you don't necessarily have to have pictures of the actual property. I mean, that works but you can also post pictures of that area as long as you are clear in the body of your ad. So go out, be creative, find pictures of the area, and post. Just be honest from where you get the pictures from.Want To Listen More?Did you enjoy this episode? You may have to be a MAC user for this, there's an app called Session (stayinsession.com). This is an app for time management, it's kind of a Pomodoro tool that enables you to segment your day. Let's say you have something on your priority list like county research and you need to sit down and spend or focus time on county research for 25 minutes today. When you go to your timer you can block out all the other apps on your computer: type in county research, set your timer for 25 minutes, and there you go, you can focus time. You can segment your day and at the end of the day, you can see where you spent your time. It does integrate with your calendars as well.Want To Listen More?Did you enjoy this episode?
