Wrestling Mayhem Show 627: 10...9...8...

E

This week’s episode brought to you by Slice on Broadway, Occupy Pro Wrestling, and Indy Wrestling US! Rob Johnston joins us to talk about some Dojo Pro wrestling. He, of course, is joined by our usual stable of ne'er-do-wells including Sorg, Dave Podnar, and Alex Kahrs as they talk this week in wrestling, including: That's right, we've kidnapped Rob Johnston from the AwesomeCast podcast so we can talk Dojo Pro (among other things). Extreme Rules was in Pittsburgh, and we are once again reminded why we can't have nice things. Sorg was so close at Extreme Rules that he almost took a pancake to the face. Dave heard Steelers chants come through the TV feed for Extreme Rules. Sorg recalls no such chants. Were they piped in? Hmmm. Things we are thankful for - The Roman Reigns v Bobby Lashley match didn't follow the Iron Man Match at Extreme Rules. We didn't see Elias in his hometown for Extreme Rules - despite the obvious Pittsburgh references throughout. Sorg is sad he didn't get an awesome Shinsuke v Jeff Hardy match. THE CROWD GOT KICKED IN THE BALLS BY SHINSUKE! Rob can FEEL the wrestling in Nashville. We're taking a few moments to remember Bruno Sammartino and the history of wrestling. Speaking of our guest, Rob, it was great seeing him being pushed around in the ring on a Dojo Pro video on Facebook. Rob Johnston is talking about some of the fun with Dojo Pro. The biggest message from Rob Johnston - Dojo Pro is bingeable! Rob has some thoughts on Joey Janela. It's convenient that we're talking with Rob Johnston on THIS episode. Rob had a chance to speak with Hulk Hogan a few years back. Hulk Hogan is not the same as Terry Bollea. It's important to make separations between characters and people. Some heels get crap from fans for being heels, then Kevin Owens gets the spotlight at a Shania Twain concert. This week's Big Question: Which wrestling superstar needs to release an album next? Mad Mike couldn't be here this week - so he sent a Mad Mike Mail! eFeds are a thing Alex Kahrs is explaining to us. Sorg is headed to the Gathering of the Juggalos, and he'll be seeing some interesting wrestling. Joey Janela is apparently facing John Cena at the Gathering of the Juggalos. What did YOU learn in wrestling this week? Want a chance to win a Rampage poster? Become our patreon for a chance to win! (Even if it's for $1.) Follow our stable on Twitter: Rob Johnston (@RobOnTheRun), Dave Podnar (@ProfPod), Alex Kahrs (@alexanderkahrs), and Sorg (@Sorgatron). AwesomeCast 405: Prince Adam (With A Man Bun)

This week’s episode brought to you by Slice on Broadway, Alex Kahrs Design & Media, and Dark Forge Studios! We’re back with Katie, Chilla, and Sorg as they talk about some tech. This week’s topics include: Sorg and Chilla are questioning Brian Crawford’s Sosoon bag recommendation (after they both got one). Chilla’s Awesome Thing of the Week is a cable organizer from Amazon. Chilla has some Krause tech envy. Katie is sharing a fighting robot that you can buy on Amazon as her Awesome Thing of the Week. Speaking of Amazon, Sorg went on a field trip as his Awesome Thing of the Week. Uber has terminated jobs of self-driving car operators in Pittsburgh. Electric scooters have arrived in Kansas City. Will Pittsburgh see scooters as a healthy ride option in the future? Find yourself frequently working out of your car? There’s a tray that works as a mobile desk or even a great eat-in-your car option. Rugrats is coming back for a TV series and movie! Microsoft has added some collaboration tools to the 365 world! Looking for something to watch? Netflix is making recommendations based on emojis. Wyze now works with Alexa on Amazon Echo. There is a Walking Dead game with AR – no it’s not like Pokemon GO. Magic Leap has a mixed reality headset in the works. We have no “N” in Alphabet if Nest is gone? Waze will provide traffic data free to US cities to aid in road congestion and pothole solutions. After the show remember to: Eat at Slice on Broadway (@Pgh_Slice) if you are in the Pittsburgh area! It is Awesome! (sliceonbroadway.com) Want to be part of our studio audience? BOLD Sports: Episode 42

Matt and Steve are talking about this week in sports updates, including: The Riverhounds won their July 4th game 2-0 with a long weather delay. The Riverhounds also won on the 8th 1-0. They have a long break before their game with Charleston Battery. The Hounds find themselves in second with 34 MP, 21 GF, 7 GA, and 34 points. The 3rd-place team is Louisville at 29 points total. The Riverhounds are one point behind FC Cincy. Matt shares some thoughts on the World Cup. In PGA news, Kevin Na won the Greenbrier in WV. Na was -19 for the tournament and had a 5-stroke lead over the next finishers. The John Deer Classic isn't a big tournament. It's on to the Barbasol Championship at Keene Trace CC in Central KY. The Barbasol Championship coincides with The Open Championship at Carnoustie Links Parade. The guys that don't make The Open play the Barbasol Championship - but the purse is still $3.5 Mill. Matt Cullen is back with the Penguins on a 1-yr deal at 41. The Penguins also sign Jack Johnson to a 5-yr deal to shore up the D. The Steelers Supplemental Draft didn't peak the eyes of any coaches or staff. The Steelers are now in holding pattern until camp. As for NBA news, LeBron made a move. Wimbledon! Serena is in the semis at 25 facing 13. We think this is the first time Serena has been a dog in a tourney . Federer and Nadal are the big names in the men's quarters. Nothing new on the Pirates front - they still suck. After the show remember to: Follow the discussion on Twitter (@BoldPGHSports) Check out BOLDpgh.com and sorgatronmedia.com for more entertainment!

BOLD Sports: Episode 41

Matt and Steve are talking about this week in sports updates, including: Riverhounds had a Nil-Nil tie with the Charleston Battery, but it looks like it wasn't that exciting of a match. The Hounds are on the road to Louisville City. They are currently tied for second in the group with Louisville with 25 points each. Matt gives us some World Cup updates. In PGA news from Connecticut at TPC River Highlands Bubba Watson had a hell of a third and fourth round to come out with the win. Watson had -17 total shooting -7 on the final round. The tour goes to TPC Potomac at Avenel in Potomac MD northwest of DC for the Quicken Loans National. Tiger is on the green, but a lot of other big names are not. There's no DJ, Spieth, Kepca, Mickelson. We're counting down to the Open. Penguins sign Bryan Rust to a four-year deal, leaving them with $4.2 mill to spend in cap space. It's likely that Oleksiak and Sheahan will get those nods. The Pens also signed Sprong and Simone. Crosby has reached out to Kunitz, and it looks like Kunitz and the Pens have shown mutual interest in another stint. The Pens are looking to get him for less than $2 mill. Kunitz will be 39 at the start of the season. Le'veon Bell and the Steelers report that they are a lot closer than they were last season on making a deal. Both side hope to come to an agreement before the July 16th deadline. Every year the NFL posts a Top 100 list for the upcoming season. The top ten this year are: Brady, Brown, Went, Jones, Bell, Gurley, Donald, Brees, V.Miller, and Rodgers. The Pirates are supposedly shopping Cervelli, Dickerson, Harrison, Mercer, and Freese. Shopping around is an effort to cut payroll because of the drastic drop in attendance this season. Neil Huntington has said that if the fans don't come out, that they can't afford to put a team on the field and the roster will be weakened because of the fans. Huntington said that the team will add pieces at the deadline if the attendance picks up. The team is worth $1.2 bill, and profited $86 mill between 2016 and 2017. Nutting has petitioned the PA State Gaming Board for tax revenue stemming from the new sports booking that is expectied to open before the start of Football season. The Bucs are 2-7 with another 4 straight losses to the Diamondbacks (who lead the NL West). that They did win over the Mets in NYC, and went to extra innings at home in the series to take a loss in the 10th. BOLD Sports: Episode 40

Matt and Steve are talking about this week in sports updates, including: Riverhounds won 3-Nil over the NY Red Bulls with goals from Parkes, and Brett. They move into a tie with Louisville City for second in group A. In World Cup news, Mexico beat Germany, and Iceland won their first match. The US Open at Shinnecock Hill in Long Island was won by Bruce Koepka for the second straight year. The last time there was back-to-back winners was 88-89 from Curtis Strange. Rod Woodson speaks up about a lack of playmakers on D side of the ball, stating that Shazier was going to be that guy. TJ Watt is still in question. Since Troy, there hasn't been a bigtime playmaker. They're looking for Cam Hayward to step up, - Bud Dupree to get in there, and Stephon Tuitt to stay healthy. Bryant is facing a possible suspension due to moving and missed testing and programs. The Caps raise a banner without trolling the Pens. With the NHL season schedule set, they open agains the Bruins Oct 3rd. The Penguins are trying to obtain Max Domi (son of Ty Domi) from the Coyotes. Kessel is interested in being reunited with Tocchet, but they are strapped on the cap hit at 6.8 million. The Leafs are carrying 1.2 of the current cap. Sources say the Pens offered up Rust, Sheary, or Simon. Due to the cap hit, to acquire him, someone would need to be traded. The Pirates dealt with some rain after a 1-0 win and a 3-2 loss. l A highlight at the Buccos game was Steven Brault singing the National Anthem. Polonco shows signs of promise, but then the next game lays an egg. Wrestling Mayhem Show 623: Midweek Infinity War

E

This week’s episode brought to you by Slice on Broadway, Occupy Pro Wrestling, and Indy Wrestling US! Todd DeFazio of Idiot Radio returns to the show this week. He is joined by Mad Mike, Mainstream Matt, Larry, and Sorg, as they're on the heels of Money in the Bank. This week's topics include: Reading Rainbow meets Wrestling with Nino Wrestles the World. Sorg may be cashing in MITB on Idiot Radio's belt. NXT Takeover was this past weekend - a/k/a I'm sorry Sunday night show. Matt likes NXT because it has a happy ending. It was nice to see Daniel Eads make a cameo appearance (and get his butt kicked a little) on NXT Takeover. NXT is like the Bachelor / Bachelorette party to the WWE marriage. Big Cass and WWE are going their separate ways? James Ellsworth returned - the highlight of MITB! So....Rhonda Rousey, guys. WWE is the equivalent of wrestling Walmart. How do you know if you're in an abusive relationship with wrestling? Asking for a friend. When it Reigns it bores! (Thanks for that one Idiot Radio!) Sorg is thinking that this year's MITB (men's match) was solid. It pretty much had everyone expected to be in it, and it wasn't obvious who was going to win it. Sorg is pitching Rhonda Rousey as the Andre the Giant of the current women's division. In a time long, long away - in a galaxy far, far away, the UK Tournament is happening in some capacity. Also - We're getting a NXT UK! Woooo! The New Day took on The Elite for a Street Fighter battle at E3. It was as amazing as we could have ever hoped! If anything happens to Xavier Woods in WWE, he's got a solid background to be a videogamer. Sorg just did some math. There is 14 hours of new wrestling content - in the US - each week. To clarify, we're talking Bubba the Bulldog, not Bubba the Love Sponge as an inspiration for Todd. This week's Big Question: Along the lines of F**/Marry/Kill - If you could hire someone to WWE, fire someone from WWE, and return a WWE alum, who would your picks be? Rusev Day happened to fall on Rey Mysterio Day! We saw the obituary for El Jefe, and we're talking some Lucha Underground observations. In Lucha Underground we trust! What did YOU learn in wrestling this week? Billed from the back of the Hot Topic, it's Aleister Black. When you realize of the Enzo / Cass/ Carmella trio that Carmella is the one who's left behind - with Gold. *Mind Blown Remember that poster we were giving away?
