The PGA 2018-2019 season starts with the Safeway Open in Napa Valley at the Silverado Resort and Spa. Not too many big names playing in the tournaments in the near future. Steve wouldn't be surprised if a few big names snuck into the early PGA 2018-2019 tournaments. We had 2 playoff games for the MLB division for the first time ever. First off, the Cubs/Brewers was exciting. The Cubs/Rockies was crazy. There were lots of chances that the Cubs just didn't capitalize on. The A’s/Yankees was closer than it looked. For the NL it looks like Braves/Dodgers, Brewers/Rockies. AL will be Cleveland/Houston and Yankees/Sox. Tom Willson hits 20 games. Scott Hartnell retires. The Capitols had a big win!! Wrestling Mayhem Show 637: Boone The Marine Hunter
EThis week’s episode brought to you by Indy Wrestling US, Slice on Broadway, Occupy Pro Wrestling, and Lucha Fiesta! We've got a special Mike and Mike edition of the show this week as we're talking about some new news - and some old news in professional wrestling. This week we're talking about: Neville is back - - in Dragon Gate. Dear Chris DeJoseph: Mad Mike has some thoughts for Neville for Lucha Underground. xoxox Punishment Martinez is headed to WWE. Sorg is predicting that once the WWE Performance Center gets hold of Punishment Martinez, he's going to look a little different. A special, special thing happened to RAW. And, we think Tina Keys may be partially to blame. We can agree that Lio Rush was not ready for Seattle. OH: What happened in Seattle is like when you're shaving and accidentally hit an artery. Wait....Mad Mike was happy with something on RAW?!?!? We're talking some comparison between Brie Bella and Maurice. We're apparently imagining what Punishment Martinez smells like on this episode? The Shield was half of a 3-hour RAW. Wrap your head around that. Can we tell you about the Broken Universe? [Picture as a door-to-door mission group pitch.] There's a Super Show Down happening. We're sharing some thoughts. It's WWE writing - it's not supposed to be Shakespeare. We all see a Dean Ambrose turn coming. The question is whether it'll be at Super Show Down or the RAW after. Are we going to see a Kings of Wrestling reunion somewhere down the line? Sorg just realized that The Bushwackers may be a possibility to appear for Super Show Down. This week's Big Question: What is (other than the Mayhem Show of course) the best wrestling podcast (preferably from an actual wrestler)? Thanks to Dave Podnar for providing the Best of 2008 WWE Magazine for Sorg. It's a nice little time capsule that he's using to fill out the last part of the show. Sorg is playing Guess Who with the faces on the front of the Best of 2008 WWE Magazine he has in studio. We're trying to finagle a way to watch No Holds Barred with David Arquette... What did YOU learn in wrestling this week? Follow our stable on Twitter: Mad Mike (@MadMike4883), and Sorg (@Sorgatron). BOLD Sports: Episode 52
EMatt and Steve are talking about this week in sports updates, including: We've got a Riverhounds update since the last episode. The Riverhounds are nearing the end of regular season before the playoffs start. Matt gives an update on where the Riverhounds sit in standings as they near the end of the season. In PGA Tour news, Tiger Woods had the lead from day one of the final PGA event of the 2018 season. The focus during the PGA final event was on Tiger Woods claiming his 80th career victory. Justin Rose won the FedEx Cup in the most watched final round of the Tour Championship ever. The focus turns to France and the Albatros Course at Le Golf National in Guyancourt outside of Paris for the Ryder Cup. The US is favored to win the Ryder Cup this year. Because the Ryder Cup is in France, coverage is during the wee hours when most people in the US are sleeping. The Pirates are nearing the end of the season. As the Pirates look at the end of the season, they are (at the time of this recording)are over .500. The rest of the MLB is headed to post-season. The AL is set on its playoff seeding, and the NL is far from over with teams very tight down to the end. The Penguins are approaching their home opener, and season opener, with the Caps coming to PPG Paints arena. The Caps have their banner raising at home. The Flyers added a mascot. After a good win at home over Georgia Tech, the Pitt Panthers had a seesaw game in Chapel Hill. Pitt had a 3-point loss to the Tar Heels to give them a 2-2 overall and 1-1 conference record. Pitt heads to UCF in Orlando. PSU is currently ranked #9. PSU had two commanding wins over Kent and Illinois, respectively. Ohio State is headed into Happy Valley for College Game Day on ESPN against PSU. WVU is 3-0 and leading the Big 12 with some commanding wins. The Mountaineers head down to Texas to take on the Red Raiders at Texas Tech. Notre Dame had a commanding win over Wake Forest and are 4-0 overall despite a few scary wins over Ball State and Vanderbilt. Stanford heads to South Bend. Watch out for RD Tony Jones, Jr. He will remind you of a guy that also wore #6 at that position. Steelers had a shitty game with the Chiefs, and a lot better game at Tampa. This week’s episode brought to you by Indy Wrestling US, Slice on Broadway, Occupy Pro Wrestling, and Lucha Fiesta! We've got Rizz, Mad Mike, and Sorg on the show this week with a full chat room to talk about so many things that have happened in professional wrestling this week, including: IMPACT had a meeting with WWE? No one actually died on IMPACT...just their careers. The Dusty Rhodes puppet at the Performance Center tweet was a tug at the heart strings this week. We're talking Brie Bella and Liv Morgan coming up in the trends and highlights on social media. Back and to the left. My favorite Bella is John Cena. Wrestling is hard, you guys. The divas are hurting the women's evolution in WWE. Sorg was checking out some Welterweight Wrestling and had some interesting conversations with the guys on the show. We're talking about a darker side of wrestling - deathmatch shows. Wrestling - without a ring? Comparing deathmatch to Kaiju Big Battel. Wrestling is a subjective art form. This week's Big Question (inspired by our friend Alex and his wrestling at a rodeo): What is the weirdest wrestling you've seen? Zach Gowen had one leg more than this other wrestler that crossed our radar this week. What did YOU learn in wrestling this week? BONUS CONTENT: Wheelz brought up a botched rope spot video that made our crew chuckle at various points throughout the week.
