And you I’m nothing if not accommodating, so today’s story is going to be about fairies! But before we get into all that, we will be playing our drinking game but only for those of you that are at home and have nowhere else to go tonight. Since today’s episode is sort of vague, I’ll let you guys pick your poison. Now for the game part… every time I say Fairy will be a single shot and every time I say Cornwall, that’s a double shot. Now that we have the business end out of the way we can jump headfirst into today’s dark enigma… and the story of the fairy abduction of Anne Jefferies, so let’s hit it my heathens…Outside the dramatic inventions of Shakespeare, Drayton, Herrick et al., most accounts of human interaction with the faeries from the Early Modern period are derived from the disparate records of witch trials. These records often chronicle the accused witches’ testimony (usually under torture) of consorting with faerie familiars, for the purposes of divination, healing and sometimes flying to Sabbaths. Historians such as Carlo Ginzberg and Emma Wilby have teased out the detail from the trial records to create a convincing argument that they encode genuine evidence of shamanic practice amongst the witches, who were frequently able to interact with the faeries in a disassociated altered state of consciousness. The records supply us with the largest body of documentary evidence for the ontology of the faeries between the 16th and 18th centuries. But there is one unusual case that comes down to us from different sources, and yet contains many of the motifs usually contained in the witch trials. This is the story of Anne Jefferies from St Teath, close to the north coast of Cornwall.

Kenneka Jenkins, a 19-year-old from Chicago, was found dead in a hotel freezer over the weekend. Now her family is pressing for answers as authorities investigate her death.Jenkins' body was found inside a walk-in freezer at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Rosemont around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, CBS Chicago reports.Her family said she went to a party at the hotel with friends late Friday night, but then went missing. They said her friends called around 4:30 a.m. on Saturday morning to say they couldn't find her, but had her cellphone and truck keys.Tereasa Martin, the teen's mother, said she tried to get hotel staff to search surveillance video for her missing daughter, but they said they needed a missing person's report. She says police told her to wait a few hours to see if her daughter turned up. Some hours later, they filed the police report.

The Mueller Report release date is finally here. Roughly four weeks after the historic investigation by Special Counsel Robert Mueller ended and the findings were delivered to U.S. Attorney General William Barr, a redacted version of the Mueller Report was released today to the public.At over 400 pages, the Mueller Report focused on Russian efforts to interfere with the 2016 presidential election, and it sought to find out whether Donald Trump or his associates conspired with Russia to affect the election and whether President Trump obstructed federal investigations. In his four-page summary of the Mueller Report, Attorney General Barr wrote that the special counsel’s probe “did not find that the Trump campaign or anyone associated with it conspired or coordinated with Russia in its efforts to influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election.”Barr also noted that the Mueller Report reached no conclusion on the matter of obstruction by President Donald Trump. The Attorney General’s four-page “principle conclusions” includes a quote directly from the Mueller Report, stating, “while this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him.” But Barr stated that he determined that the evidence collected in Mueller’s investigation was “not sufficient to establish that the President committed an obstruction-of-justice offense.”Before releasing the Mueller Report on Thursday, Barr held a press conference to discuss the report’s major findings and reiterated that it did not prove collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign. The answer from Melbourne was no, an answer that was confirmed again during the odd communication that followed.

These conjectures are derived from near-death experiences of people who came close to death or were revived from a state of clinical death, usually after a painful accident or illness.
