Can you help people… and make money? Can you be a good person… and make money? Can you make a real difference… and make money? Money comes up a lot with my MCA students. 535 | What Advice Would You Give Your Younger Self?
I recently took a trip to LA with my longtime friend, Brianne. We came across a booth on the promenade where people were asking moms to give advice. I don't normally do things like this, but In this case, I was inspired to sit down and share one bit of advice I would give to my younger self. Back when I was just becoming a mom. In today's Mental Monday, I'll share what I said, and (more importantly) what I learned from sharing it.____________________Another piece of advice I would give to parents is to start teaching your kids visualization! 533 | The Downside of Your Goals
Monday mornings are for nerding out on mindset work! My question for you today is: Is your subconscious on board with your goals? There are so many ways to use mental training to align your subconscious with what you say you want, but one that we don't usually talk about it to think about the downside of achieving your goals. Don't get me wrong, it's very important to spend time thinking about the upsides, and getting pumped about future you. But even the most exciting goals have a downside. Today on the podcast, I'm getting into it. I'm getting into the science, and into the practicality of what it looks like to clear out mental clutter so you can go for your goals 110%. Tune in!-------------------------If you want to go for your goals, you have to pay attention to your limiting thoughts (we all have them). 532 | Building a Parent/Coach Alliance with Skye Eddy
My guest today is Skye Eddy, the founder and CEO of Soccer Parenting Association. Sports are in Skye’s DNA. She is an experienced coach and former professional player with a long and impressive resume. Today, Skye is tirelessly working to bridge the gap between parents and coaches to create a stronger, more holistic foundation of support for young athletes. As a professional athlete-turned-soccer mom, Skye knew there was a need for better parent/coach collaboration in youth sports, but didn’t realize just how much work needed to be done until she experienced being a parent on the sidelines. She saw a pattern: Coaches were defensive towards parents and quick to put them in the “crazy sports parent” category. While parents were too afraid to speak up for fear of being thought of as a “crazy sports parent”. So, she set out to build an educational framework to help coaches and parents learn to communicate, collaborate, and support one another. The work Skye has done through Soccer Parenting Association has changed the game for coaches, parents, and most importantly, athletes. In this episode, you’ll learn: How the research and science supports parent/coach collaboration Actionable ways coaches can cultivate a positive parent/coach relationship How lack of education causes stress in parents, and creates a ripple effect The “crazy sports parent” dilemma (and how to break the cycle) How to create a future where sports are really designed for kids Skye is incredible at stating simple concepts in new ways, and shedding light on the sociology of sports. The work she is doing is incredibly important. With every course, presentation, and student, Skye is creating a better sports experience for the next generation of athletes, parents, and coaches. Talk about giving back to the game! I’m thrilled ot help Skye spread the word about Soccer Parenting Association and all her incredible resources for parents and coaches. As a professional athlete-turned-soccer mom, she wanted to optimize her relationship with her athlete, and noticed a need in youth sports. [4:20] Skye shares her answer to the question, “What are you trying to accomplish?” and how the value of youth sports goes far beyond competition. [7:10] How is the Soccer Parenting Association bridging the gap between parents and athletes? Skye shares a personal story about her daughter losing motivation and the what that taught her about the industry, from a parenting perspective. [12:06] Lindsey examines the relationship between commitment, expectations, and pressure, and its impact on young athletes. Skye shares wise words about structural issues in sports. [16:42] We have to be aware that there is no guaranteed result when we sign our kids up for sports. Skye shares some research that supports the value of parent engagement programs in schools. [19:54] Where does the ‘crazy sports parent’ character come from? Skye talks about how this small percentage of parents have hugely impacted how coaches engage with folks on the sidelines. She asks coaches, “What do you believe to be true about youth sports parents?” [25:14] Skye shares some actionable ways coaches can nurture a positive parent relationship. She recommends going through her one hour course, “Parent Engagement for Coaches”, and appointing a Social Coordinator. [31:37] Lindsey talks about what it was like to coach young athletes this year. Skye mentions the importance of recruiting quality coaches for our youngest, most novice players. [33:40] The episode wraps up with a quick overview about where you can find Skye and how you can access her resources for coaches and parents. 526 | How to Coach Using Positive Psychology (And Negative Visualization) with Chris DeSantis
Today on the podcast, Chris DeSantis is talking all about Positive Psychology! Chris and I met a couple months ago when I was a guest on his podcast, The Swim Brief Podcast, and we had so much to talk about that I had to stop him and tell him to save it for this podcast! Chris is the first athletic coach in the world to get an advanced degree in Positive Psychology (in 2009). Chris is the definition of a pioneer in his industry, and has brought the power of positive psychology to sports. He has been a swim coach his entire adult life and has a unique perspective and application that is so complimentary to what we teach at The Mindset Coach Academy. If you’ve ever wondered what Positive Psychology is, or how to apply it to sports, you’re in the right place. The cool thing about positive psychology is that none of it is specific to any particular sport. I’m certain that you will be able to apply what you learn in today’s episode to improve countless other areas of your life. In this interview, Chris digs into the history of positive psychology, how it was founded in the late 90s and how it evolved from the field of psychology that (at the time) only really looked only at what is wrong with people. Chris teaches and entertains with a ton of personal stories, including a time he pissed off Princeton’s swimming and diving team, how exactly to embrace your fear of failure, and the vital role of negative visualization. [3:15] Lindsey and Chris dig into the question, “What is positive psychology?” Chris explains why he’s excited about the question, and how the term can be misleading. [6:51] The field of positive psychology has to work in tandem with pathology. Chris talks about the difference he’s noticed in his business from pre-covid to post-covid and how the world has started to embrace sports psychologists. [11:03] Lindsey asks Chris to share some actionable things coaches can do to work positive psychology into their curriculum. Chris shares an experience he had where he turned something he loved into a miserable experience because of his fear of failure. [16:14] Chris explains where ‘fear of failure’ really comes from. And why he’d love to have “a team full of athletes that fear failure.” [21:47] Chris shares an example of a time he pissed off Princeton’s swimming and diving team. He then talks about why he believes we were all born with a ‘negativity bias’. [26:30] What comes after ‘reframing’ failure? Chris makes the case for “negative visualization” and shares how it can actually calm your brain and prepare you for success. [33:05] Failure creates empathy for the athletes you coach. Chris talks about a time that he failed during a presentation, and what he learned when he reached out to the coach for feedback. 525 | The Power of Jealousy
I think most of us would agree that jealousy is a negative thing. When we feel it come up in ourselves, we either push it down, or dwell on it, or come up with reasons why that person's life is better because of their upbringing, or opportunities, or intelligence, socioeconomic status, genetics, or dumb luck. I recently listened to this podcast by Jenna Kutcher who was interviewing communication specialist, Dori Clark. She talked about how you can use jealousy in a healthy way. That episode is what inspired today's Mental Monday. Listen to the episode to learn:💡the 1 question you need to ask yourself next time you feel jealous. 523 | The Importance of Team In Adulthood
Do you remember morning conditioning? Waking up at 5 AM to get yelled at by your coach and run sprints with your team in the rain (why was it always raining?). Imagine all the energy it would have taken to wake up and do morning conditioning on your own. No team, no coach, just you relying on sheer willpower to create a workout plan, show up on time, and push yourself through your entire workout. I don't care how dedicated you are, it is SO much harder to do it alone. This is true for morning conditioning and it’s also true for entrepreneurship, parenthood, professional development... etc. etc. Today on the podcast, I’m talking about the importance of finding community, especially in an area of your life where you want to excel. After I left basketball, I didn’t even realize how much I missed having a community of people to lean on as I took on my next challenge of building a business. Finding a team is not easy outside of competitive sports. It’s not that you can’t build one, it’s just that it's not obvious how to go about building one. Not only that, but when you don’t have a team, it can leave a void that you may not even notice. In today’s episode I talk about: What happens in your brain when you’re surrounded by like-minded people. 521 | Are You Avoiding What You Love?
I started playing hoops again. You're going to be hearing a lot about this in the upcoming weeks because this is kind of a big deal to me.And as a former professional athlete who hasn't played competitively in a while, it was really really humbling to get back out there and play. It took a lot of reflection on my part to realize I was avoiding doing this thing that I devoted the first part of my life to. Because I knew I would be bad at it. I talk more about this whole experience on today's Mental Monday podcast, so I hope you'll check it out, ask yourself, "What am I avoiding?" and feel inspired to do what you love, even if it's uncomfortable at first. If you know someone who needs this reminder today, send them this episode!--------------------BRAVR Method: The BRAVR™ is a step-by-step SYSTEM designed to get you and your athletes the focus, toughness and resiliency in practice (and beyond) that you ALL deserve. 520 | Transforming your Parent/Teen Relationship with Jeanine Mouchawar
As a parent, I’ll take any help I can get. Period. Today on the podcast, I am absolutely thrilled to introduce you to Jeanine Mouchawar, a parenting coach and certified life coach who works specifically with parents of teenagers. If you are a parent of a teenager, you’re likely feeling growing pains. What worked for you before doesn’t work anymore. Your teens are craving more independence, navigating social stresses, and juggling real world pressures and responsibilities. They might even be starting to do things that scare you. If you have kids of any age, or coach teen athletes, stop what you’re doing and press play. You guys, this episode is absolute gold. Jeanine created a 5-step framework to help parents like us guide, influence, and support our teens. Today, she’s breaking down each one to show you how to bridge the communication gap with your teen to transform your relationship. Jeanine is an absolute superhero because she gives parents the lifeline that they’re looking for. She teaches strategies to navigate difficult conversations, become your teen’s go-to person, and actually enjoy the teen years. What I love about this episode is: As a parent, I’m always hearing about the infamous teen years, and frankly will take all the help I can get. I learned SO much from this interview. This 5 step framework comes from Jeanine’s personal experience raising a challenging teenager who was engaging in risky behaviors. Her system really works, and she’s living proof of that. Jeanine gives parents so many actionable ways to transform patterns of communication right away AND long-term. Stop the parent-teen battles, stop feeling helpless, start taking actions that bring you and your teen closer together, and create the calm and peaceful home you so deserve. [4:29] Parents often approach parenting teens by trying to stop a certain behavior that is making them worried. Jeanine explains how that creates a negative cycle. [9:12] Teens need different parenting than they did when they were young. We can’t parent through force. Lindsey draws a parallel with being a sports coach. [11:21] When your teen does something that scares you, your nervous system gets flooded. Step 1 of Jeanine’s 5 step system is about regulating your own emotional system before you talk to your kids. Shame plays a big role in you teen’s reaction. [15:20] Jeanine and Lindsey chat about how you can calm your nervous system quickly using more ‘surface level ways’ for quick wins right away. [17:48] Step 2 is all about zooming out and observing the behavior. Jeanine warns not to get into what she calls ‘mommy fast forward brain’ and what happens when you do. [21:31] Getting curious is step 3 in Jeanine’s framework. What is your teen thinking/feeling/or causing them to make that choice? [28:55] To meet your teen where they’re at, you have to normalize their feelings so they don’t feel alone. Tell them “YOU are not the problem, it’s you and me against the problem”. This is step 4. Jeanine offers some examples of healthy ways to chat with your teens, leading with empathy. [31:45] Jeanine dives into step 5 which is all about helping your teens solve their own problems. Jeanine explains the importance of buy-in before offering advice. [34:18] Lindsey and Jeanine chat about how coaches can apply this framework to sports, and

519 | Choose Your Hard
Today's Mental Monday episode is inspired by calls I've had with Mindset Coach Academy applicants. I find it so fascinating to meet and talk to people who are making a decision about whether or not to join my program. The psychology of it in particular is really fascinating. Because taking a big jump, putting money and time and energy toward the thing that you say you want is HARD. And it's something that a lot of people don't have the guts to do. In this episode, I'm asking the question: What happens if you DON'T take action? Does the "hard" go away? Does doing nothing make it easier? This episode may just change how you look at your goals and the risks you're willing to take to get what you want. 517 | 3 Ways I Use Mental Training with My Kids
One of the best things I’ve done as a parent is to teach my kids mindset tools. Simple, uncomplicated exercises that they can reach for when they need a little extra help. Skills like identifying, communicating, and regulating your emotions are LEARNED skills. So as a parent who is also a mindset coach, I am always finding ways to teach my kids age-appropriate mindset tools. Because I want my daughters to know that they are not their emotions. Their mindset can change their reality. They have control. If you work with young kids as a coach, a parent, or a teacher, this is a game-changer. I’ll start by saying I have 4 kids, all under 10. My kids are young. And trial-and-error is just part of the package deal right now. I’m not a fan of the ‘throwing spaghetti at the wall’ approach when it comes to coaching older athletes, but with kids, sometimes you have to try stuff and figure out what works for each kid. I tell myself, if I can get it right 50% of the time, I’m doing okay. In today’s episode you’ll learn tools to help your kids: Regulate their fight or flight response Understand what you’re telling them on a deep, psychological level Move through tough emotions like disappointment, fear, or anger. Feel seen, validated, and understood As a professional mindset coach, here are three mindset tools I use with my kids. What mindset tools are you teaching your kids? Come on over to Instagram and tell me about it! I’m always adding to my toolbox, getting it wrong, trying something else, getting it right occasionally. 516 | Why Your Why Matters
I just went to a mastermind where they started the session by asking us about our 'why'. And I tried not to roll my eyes. I already know my why, I've done a lot of work on it already. Isn't this prompt a little cheesy and overdone?I didn't really want to talk about it in the mastermind, but I did it anyway. And I'm surprised I'm saying this but I'm really glad I did. Not because it taught me anything new about myself, but because it gave me a new perspective about the question.Today on the podcast, I'm talking about why your why matters and why it's time to say it out loud AGAIN. I'm also giving you a bunch of journaling prompts, and sharing my why. --------------------For more mindset tips like these, join me on Instagram @lindseypositiveperform www.instagram.com/lindseypositiveperform Rate, Review, & Follow on Apple Podcasts “I love Lindsey’s straight forward, realistic approach to motivation and living your best life.” <– If that sounds like you, we'd love for you to rate and review the podcast! 514 | 10 Mistakes I Made In My Coaching Business
Some of the best, most valuable coaching you can get from anyone is to learn about all the ways they f-ed up. As students, we’re always looking for someone to save us from mistakes. Save us valuable time, resources, and energy. To teach us the shortcuts so that we can get to where we want to be faster. I’ve been a full time mindset coach for over a decade, and did mindset coaching on the side for much longer than that. So I can confidently tell you that I’ve made a ton of mistakes. Today, I’m going to share with you my top 10. These are 10 ways I self-sabotaged throughout the years. By devaluing my own time, by thinking I could do this on my own, by overcomplicating, and by skipping really fundamental steps. Steps that would have helped me build a stronger foundation faster. Please, for the love of god, learn from my mistakes. Mistakes are an inevitable part of any big, brave journey. My mistakes are where so much of my learning as a business owner came from, and a big part of what got me to where I am today, which make them some of the most valuable things I can teach you. Let me know which mistake resonates most with you, and tell me about a mistake you made in YOUR business. 513 | When Gratitude Sucks
Today, I'm talking about the downside of gratitude. I wrote about this concept recently in my newsletter, because, at the age of 42, this is a new concept for me. A lot of us here have similar traits. Traits that helped us be successful in sports. But sometimes, these strengths in sports don't serve us in other areas of our lives. I'm really good at sucking it up. When something goes wrong, I am really good at minimizing it, shifting my thoughts, and focusing on all the good things in my life. That's a strength of mine in so many ways. But there's also a dark side to gratitude. And that's what I'm getting into today on The Mindset Coach Academy Podcast. I'm so curious if you relate to my message today, so listen to today's Mental Monday episode to learn more and let me know what you think!--------------------The BRAVR Method: The BRAVR™ is a step-by-step SYSTEM designed to get you and your athletes the focus, toughness and resiliency in practice (and beyond) that you ALL deserve. 512 | The Waterfall Technique
I am loving how much emotional learning is going on in school these days. I am constantly impressed by so many of the things that my kids are learning about identifying and regulating their emotions. For example, my kid's public elementary school has a calm space for kids to go when they're feeling overwhelmed. And they're learning how to label and identify their feelings with colors and something called a "mood meter". And, you know what, I am HERE for it. Side note - If you are a teacher who teaches this stuff to young kids, THANK YOU. All that to say, today's Mental Monday lesson comes from my 3 year old. It's a little mental exercise you can teach your kids, AND use yourself. It works at any age. --------------------3 Day Summit for Aspiring Mindset Coaches: Join us for 3 days of LIVE webinar trainings! 511 | Do I Need an Advanced Degree to be a Mindset Coach?
I want to talk today about advanced degrees in the mindset coaching industry. If you are thinking about joining The MCA Certification, you might be wondering if you should go back to school to get your degree instead. This is a question that comes up all time, and it’s one that I fully believe you should be asking. Because if you’re really serious about becoming a mindset coach, you should explore all your options. With 18 years of experience as a mindset coach, I have seen people go through my program both with and without degrees, and what I’ve learned is that an advanced degree does not determine whether or not you’ll be successful in this field. There are many other factors at play. If you choose to go down the advanced degree path, I don’t want you to do it just because you think that’s what you SHOULD do. I want you to do it for the right reasons, knowing exactly what you have to gain by doing it. The goal of this episode is to show you the big picture when it comes to advanced degrees so you can decide if you need one. I won’t give you the answers, but I will give you the questions you should be asking so that you can make a decisive, informed decision, one way or another. 3 Day Summit for Aspiring Mindset Coaches: Join us for 3 days of LIVE webinar trainings! 510 | A Simple Exercise to Deal With Stress
I bring a lot of hypnotism principles into what I teach. Now, because of all the preconceived notions around the word "hypnotism", I prefer to use broader words like visualization, metaphors, and breathwork. At its core, it's all of these things. On today's Mental Monday, I'm sharing an exercise that I've been working on with my hypnotist, Dr. James Hollingsworth. This exercise has helped me settle my thoughts in time of stress and calm my nervous system when I'm feeling fried. If you are going through something now, or just want to feel more equipped next time you're struggling, I really encourage you to listen to today's Mental Monday podcast and practice this exercise. The more you practice it, the stronger it will get. 507 | Anticipating Obstacles
This episode is about obstacles. Ironically, I had so many obstacles when I tried to record it. Funny how that happens, isn’t it? To be more specific, this episode is about ANTICIPATING obstacles. Which may seem a little counterintuitive. Let’s say you have a big, scary, new goal and you decide to go for it. So many of us think we need to just focus on the positive stuff. We need to believe in ourselves to get momentum, we need to think happy thoughts, etc. etc. etc. It often feels wrong to jump into something while thinking about all the ways it could go wrong. But today I’m going to explain to you why it’s absolutely necessary to think about that stuff. Anticipating obstacles is not manifesting the worst case scenario. Anticipating obstacles prepares you to be successful. Because when you don’t anticipate obstacles, you WILL be surprised by them, and that can lead to feeling overwhelmed, stuck, discouraged, or it can cause you to turn to what’s comfortable in the moment. Anticipate obstacles gives you a chance to create a plan and solve for things ahead of time. This sets you up for success. In this episode, I cover: How to anticipate tangible vs intangible obstacles How our feelings about obstacles impact everything How I solve for one of my biggest obstacles as a business owner A common obstacle that’s easy to overlook One exercise you can do today Download our free e-book: “How to Become a Mental Performance Coach”: This FREE ultra-simple guide will show you how YOU can make mindset coaching your full-time career or part-time hustle. 505 | Consent in Coaching
I am a coach through and through. And as a coach, I am constantly wanting to help other people level up in their life. But with this skill comes this urge to tell people what to do... regardless of whether or not they asked for it. Does anyone else relate to this? 504 | Lindsey's Life Update
Initially, I was a little hesitant to do a life update on the podcast. But then I remembered something my husband told me before I recorded my first episode. He told me that the best podcasts are the ones where people stay open and let people in. And I agree. I love hearing more about the people I follow. So today, that’s what I’m doing. I’m letting you in, and sitting down with you like we’re having a turmeric latte (my latest favorite beverage) or going out for a walk around Greenlake. I’ve had a tremendously difficult 6 months, and while I can’t go into everything today, I do want to talk about some simple things that have been bringing me joy and helping me move through the tough stuff. I need more casual chats with friends in my life, and maybe you do too. So if a life update isn’t for you, go ahead and skip this episode. But if you want to hear more about my life and, let’s face it, my ongoing obsession with birdwatching, press play and join me for a chat. 502 | Butterfly Wings and Hard Things
They say that when a butterfly is in its chrysalis, you shouldn't help it get out. Why? Well, because if you help it, you rob it of its ability to strengthen its wings in the way nature intended. This little science fact is the premise of today's Mental Monday. I'm taking about going through tough times, the push and pull of opposites, and the ultimate goal of becoming stronger, deeper human beings. 501 | The Law of Attraction with Shay Haddow
My guest today is Confidence and Mental Performance Coach, Shay Haddow! A few weeks ago, I was a guest on Shay’s podcast, The Alpha Girl Confidence Podcast, and now it’s her turn to take the hot seat. Shay, like many of us, found her passion for mental training through her own personal struggles as an athlete. Shay talks openly about tearing her ACL at the age of 12, reckoning with that physical and emotional trauma at such a young age, and going on to grapple with her confidence as a player until she reached a boiling point her junior year. Now, Shay is a badass coach who has dedicated herself to helping female athletes strengthen their self-belief to play and live confidently. Her keystone program is a 4 month group coaching program for middle school and high school female athletes. Building her business from the ground up, Shay is open about experiencing burnout as a business owner, and what it took for her to move through it and come out better on the other side. I really admire Shay for being so open about her ups and downs as a business owner. Being an entrepreneur is all-too-often a lonely experience, so Shay’s vulnerability and storytelling in this episode is a powerful reminder that you are not alone. Before we even sat down together, I knew this interview would be full of nuggets of wisdom for mindset coaches, so I invited some of my students to join to give them a chance to learn from Shay firsthand and ask her questions. Their questions included: “What is the ideal age to start mental training?” “Do you have trouble getting kids to accept responsibility because parents are playing the blame game?” “Knowing what you know now about hustle culture and burnout, would you do things differently?” Shay is one to watch - so listen up and take notes! She tells the class about the pillars of her core program, “Beyond the Athlete”. [5:10] Shay shares how the question, “Raise your hand if you feel the pressure to be perfect all the time” creates space for athletes to feel connected. [6:28] After tearing her ACL at the age of 12, everything changed. Shay talks about dealing with trauma, pressure, and anxiety at a young age and her decision to turn it all around with mindset work. [10:34] What effect does taking RESPONSIBILITY have on a struggling athlete? Shay explains how it impacted her life and how she sees it change the lives of the kids she coaches. [16:06] Lindsey invites questions from the class. Betsy asks, “What is the ideal age to start mental training?” Billie asks, “Do you have trouble getting kids to accept responsibility because parents are playing the blame game?” [20:51] Shay peels back the curtain on her business, and gets into some details about how she structures her business. [25:20] Shay experienced severe burnout. With a small shift to her sales process, she moved through burnout and found alignment. [30:45] From “push marketing” to “pull marketing”, Shay explains how everything shifted as soon as her mindset shifted. In her words, “If I put out good content, if I do good work, if I help people, the right people will come into my space”. [34:19] Shay believes in letting her intuition be her guide. She explains how she felt at odds with herself for years before figuring out how to sell and grow her business in alignment with her values. [39:04] “As long as the passion and the ideas are there, everything’s gonna work itself out.” [40:25] Lindsey and Shay wrap up the episode with a few rapid fire questions. Shay explains how she’s simplifying and spending more time in nature, writing a new book, finding joy with her dog, moving every day, and quitting her side hustle to go all-in on her business. 498 | Belief Work
When was the last time you intentionally sat down and worked on your belief? We know it’s important to work on our health, our habits, our breathing, etc. but we often overlook the need to work on our BELIEF. Today, I’m making the case that belief work is some of the absolute most important work you can do. Why? Because our brains are hardwired for survival, and because of that, we won’t put time and energy toward things that we don’t believe will work out. So if we want to do big things in our life, we have to override our brain’s natural desire to avoid risk. The only way to do that is to work on our belief. If we’re not intentional about this piece of the puzzle, doubts start to creep in and, over time, our hopes and dreams die. Listen to this month’s extended episode of The MCA Podcast for more on why belief work is important, 4 ways to actively work on your belief, and one BONUS exercise you can do every day that will catapult you toward your big dreams. What do hamburgers have to do with mental training? In today's Mental Monday episode, I'll explain how you can use visualization to make your goals as crave-worthy as a big, juicy hamburger. 496 | The Biz Advice You Won't Hear
One of the best things we can do as mindset coaches is work on our OWN BELIEFS. Beliefs about the power and importance of mental training and beliefs about our own abilities to scale our business and be successful. Belief work is especially important when you first start your business because you don't have a lot evidence that it's going to work.Today I am breaking apart what I call "The Motivation Triad": A term that describes the 3 THINGS your brain is working on at any given moment. ____________________If you are ready to step into your purpose as a Positive Performance Certified Mindset Coach, join our waitlist to be the first to know when enrollment opens: www.positiveperformancetraining.com/MCACertification Rate, Review, & Follow on Apple Podcasts “I love Lindsey’s straight forward, realistic approach to motivation and living your best life.” <– If that sounds like you, we'd love for you to rate and review the podcast! 491 | 6 Steps to Sell More Mindset Coaching
Today’s episode is all about “sales” - i.e. that little word that so many of us avoid. Specifically, we’re going to be talking about how to sell mindset and mental performance coaching. But really, these principles can be applied to anything. I used to hate sales, in fact, I would go out of my way to avoid it. Whether it was selling campfire mints or fundraising at school, I didn’t want any part of it. But when I started my business, I really had to get to the root of it and do some deep mindset work around my aversion to sales. It was the only way I was going to make my dreams happen. Over time, everything changed. And now, I’m super excited to share with you 6 tips that completely transformed my own mindset around selling. If you’re here, you’re probably either a mindset coach already, or are considering becoming one. Regardless of where you’re coming from, I want to be very clear about one thing: Even if you don’t think selling is for you, it is. Because learning to sell is less about money and more about learning (and owning) your worth. And when you do that, you force yourself to step up in a bigger, more impactful way. So whether or not there’s a money exchange, It’s still really important to go through this process and learn these skills. One of my favorite things about building a mindset coaching business, is that you are your first client. Practicing what you preach is the key to moving forward. From building self-belief, to visualizing your success, when you directly apply mindset work to your business, you’ll see a direct impact on your own life and your ability to coach your clients.
