Meet Pete Thron, a highly decorated ex-New York City Housing Authority police officer. Pete's life took a tragic turn when he was arrested and charged with stealing $1,700 in cash from a drug purchaser within an apartment during a "buy and bust" operation. What followed was a trial that ended with his conviction and a prison sentence, a verdict that Pete vehemently contests, claiming his innocence. Now, the question arises: Was justice truly served? You be the judge. Following his release from prison, Pete Thron embarked on a different path, becoming an author. He penned numerous books, one of which, "End of Tour," tells his own compelling story, shedding light on the dark corners of the criminal justice system and his journey from a decorated police officer to a man who believed he was wrongfully convicted. Ep 492Instagram, Facebook, Twitter Are Police
Instagram, Facebook, Twitter Are Police Chiefs Costing Us Millions? Special Episode. What about all those lip sync and dancing police videos? Weren't they supposed to help bolster police - community relations? What good did they do, if any, except to waste time and money? Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against those videos. What Police Departments Should Be Doing Instead. I call out Police Chiefs, Commissioners and Agencies that don't take the same proactive steps to support their officers in the media, social or otherwise. Those that control the narrative win. Mark my words, many Police Chiefs will be losing their jobs over their lack of proactive PR on social media. Not only are they losing huge numbers of good police, they are settling lawsuit cases for millions of dollars every year. Many of these cases could have been ended quickly if departments were more proactive with the media, especially social media. City and County Governments are settling complaints that aren't true for millions of dollars. And they are having tremendous problems retaining good police. Many Departments are losing the fight in social media. Listen in to this special (short) episode of the Law Enforcement Today: True Crime and Trauma Stories Podcast and I explain. Ep 491Sheriff Deputy Shot Twice, Including in the Face. Tells the story.
Sheriff Deputy Shot Twice, Including in the Face. Tells the story. Deputy Troy Anderson pulled over a car one night for an average car stop. Before he could sense any threat the suspect fired a gun twice and shot him in the face and hand. It was a rural area far from help and an off duty deputy, near the area, cleaning the patrol car heard his call for help on the radio. The suspect was later killed in a shootout with a civilian while invading that person's home. Deputy Anderson had no way of knowing that the driver was a a registered sex offender. And according to investigators was hell bent on violence. "I truly believe he had an evil mindset and his thought process was to kill and destroy innocent people," Dixie County Sheriff Darby Butler said about Miedema at the same event. "Fortunately, he did not succeed in that." Troy tells the horrifying story of the shooting and the wonderful medical professionals that saved his life. One of the images in podcast cover from WCTV.
