Ep 630Attacked by John Wayne Gacy, Molested as a Child

Attacked by John Wayne Gacy, Molested as a Child He Tells The Story. As a child, he barely survived being attacked and molested by serial killer John Wayne Gacy during a family vacation at a Wisconsin lake. At age 8, he was assaulted by a teenager, later realizing it was John Wayne Gacy after seeing news reports in Chicago. Listen to this for free in Apple Podcasts, Spotify, our website or most major podcast platforms. By coincidence, he lived near Gacy's infamous murder house. John Wayne Gacy (March 17, 1942 – May 10, 1994) was one of America's most notorious serial killers and sex offenders. Operating in Norwood Park Township near Chicago, Illinois, Gacy raped, tortured, and murdered at least 33 young men and boys between 1972 and 1978. His sinister acts earned him the moniker "Killer Clown," a reference to his public performances as "Pogo the Clown" at children's parties and charity events. Attacked by John Wayne Gacy, Molested as a Child He Tells The Story. We are all over social media we are on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, MeWe, Pinterest and other outlets to get the news and latest episodes. Gacy's modus operandi was chillingly consistent. He would lure victims to his ranch-style house, often under the guise of offering them construction work through his contracting business. Once inside, Gacy would trick his victims into putting on handcuffs, claiming he wanted to demonstrate a magic trick. This ruse quickly turned into a nightmare as Gacy subjected his captives to brutal rape and torture before ultimately killing them. His preferred methods of murder were asphyxiation or strangulation with a garrote. The disposal of Gacy's victims was equally horrifying. He buried 26 bodies in the crawl space beneath his home, three elsewhere on his property, and discarded four in the nearby Des Plaines River. The scale and brutality of his crimes shocked the nation when they came to light. Attacked by John Wayne Gacy, Molested as a Child He Tells The Story. Prior to his killing spree, Gacy had already shown signs of dangerous behavior. In 1968, he was convicted of sodomy in Waterloo, Iowa, and sentenced to ten years in prison. However, he served only eighteen months before being released on parole, a decision that would have tragic consequences. Available as a free podcast on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, our website or most major podcast platforms. David Bolton, a survivor of an encounter with Gacy, shares a harrowing tale of narrowly escaping the killer's grasp. As a child vacationing with his family at a Wisconsin lake, David was attacked by a teenage Gacy. This traumatic experience had a profound impact on his life, compounded later by his service in Vietnam. Attacked by John Wayne Gacy, Molested as a Child He Tells The Story. Listen to this for free in Apple Podcasts, Spotify, our website or most major podcast platforms. In his recollections, David details how these events deeply affected his personal relationships and mental health. He speaks candidly about the challenges he faced in rebuilding his life in the aftermath of such trauma. Despite the obstacles, David eventually found success as a real estate investor, focusing on property flipping. Seeking to process his experiences and share his story, David authored the book "Hike Around The Lake." This fictionalized novel draws heavily from his own life, incorporating dramatic elements to explore themes of survival, trauma, and resilience. Through his writing, David offers insight into the long-lasting effects of violence and the human capacity for healing and growth. Attacked by John Wayne Gacy, Molested as a Child He Tells The Story. Police suspected a neighbor, who was arrested, tried, and convicted of kidnapping and first-degree murder. The killer is currently on death row at San Quentin State Prison. On the night of February 1, Danielle's mother Brenda went out with friends while her father stayed home with Danielle and her two brothers. After putting Danielle to bed, her father noticed an alarm light flashing and found the sliding glass door open, which he closed. The next morning, Danielle was missing, prompting a massive search effort involving hundreds of volunteers. Her nude, partially decomposed body was found near a trail on February 27. Detectives discovered traces of Danielle's blood in the suspect's motor home. Although the coroner couldn't determine the cause of death or confirm sexual assault, dental records identified her. Ep 621FBI Arresting Serial Killers, From Computer Data to Danger.

FBI Arresting Serial Killers, From Computer Data to Danger. Forget what you see in movies and on TV about serial killers and how they're caught. In this podcast interview we discuss the true realities of investigating these criminals and the crucial role of the FBI. The interview is available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and the show's website. A serial killer, or serial murderer, is someone who kills three or more people over a period, driven by psychological gratification. The FBI identifies motives like anger, thrill-seeking, financial gain, and attention-seeking. Serial killers often have specific victim profiles, such as demographic traits or gender. The FBI analyzes these patterns to track down the killers and understand their motives. Though distinct from mass murderers, spree killers, or contract killers, serial killers can share traits with these other types of criminals. FBI Arresting Serial Killers, From Computer Data to Danger. Listen to this for free in Apple Podcasts, Spotify, our website or most major podcast platforms. The term "serial killer" is often credited to former FBI special agent Robert Ressler, who used "serial homicide" in a 1974 lecture at the Police Staff College in Bramshill, England. Ann Rule, in her book Kiss Me, Kill Me, credits LAPD detective Pierce Brooks with coining the term and creating the Violent Criminal Apprehension Program (ViCAP) system in 1985. Criminologist Ernst Gennat first used the German term Serienmörder ('serial murderer') in 1930 to describe Peter Kürten. Peter Vronsky, in Serial Killers: The Method and Madness of Monsters (2004), notes that while Ressler popularized "serial homicide" in 1974, the terms "serial murder" and "serial murderer" appeared earlier in John Brophy's The Meaning of Murder (1966) and a 1967 Washington, D.C. newspaper review. FBI Arresting Serial Killers, From Computer Data to Danger. Our guest, Michael Harrigan, is a retired FBI agent, military veteran, and former police officer from Connecticut. He discusses the FBI's role in investigating serial killers and shares insights from his career, highlighting the differences between police work and FBI operations, from desk work to danger from Quantico to Washington, D.C. We discuss so much that people don't know about the role of the FBI in investigating and Arresting Serial Killers. You can listen to this in Apple Podcasts, our website, Spotify or most major podcast platforms. After retiring from the FBI Michael Harrigan is one of the key figures at the Pax Group LLC. Ep 617Survived the Widowmaker Heart Attack and A Near Death Accident.

Survived the Widowmaker Heart Attack and A Near Death Accident. He narrowly survived what's known as a widowmaker heart attack—a condition where a blockage obstructs the largest artery in the heart, hindering blood flow through the left anterior descending (LAD) artery, crucial for supplying half of the heart's muscle with blood. Immediate medical attention is crucial for any chance of survival, as highlighted by the Cleveland Clinic. You can listen to this in Apple Podcasts, our website, Spotify or most major podcast platforms. The gravity of seeking assistance promptly is highlighted by statistics from the American Heart Association, indicating that only a mere 12% of individuals experiencing a widowmaker heart attack outside of medical facilities manage to survive. Law enforcement officers, in particular, face escalated risk due to the demands of their profession, characterized by extended, physically demanding shifts and constant vigilance. Studies have indicated that police officers exhibit notably subpar cardiovascular health, likely exacerbated by the unpredictable and stressful nature of their work. John Good, a retired police officer, shares his intense experiences, also recalling a near-fatal collision during his early years on the force, which he miraculously survived thanks to the protective gear he was wearing. After retiring following a distinguished 41-year career in law enforcement, John Good now serves as an Adjunct Faculty member and author, drawing upon his extensive background to craft compelling narratives such as "Blood on the Badge." Set in 2016, this fictional work blends elements of crime fiction with insights from Good's real-life experiences, tracking decorated Navy Seal Matt O’Neil as he transitions into policing. As Matt grapples with the challenges of his new role, including the loss of fellow officers and the pursuit of a potential serial killer, he wrestles with personal and professional dilemmas that threaten to unravel his life. Bri Kaplan, a resilient member of the force, was tragically attacked, resulting in severe and permanent injuries that have altered the course of her life. However, the most staggering blow came from the very institution she swore to protect and serve. Police Officer Violently Attacked, Shock from the City. Special Episode. Despite her years of loyal service, she says she was met with disbelief and callousness from the City of Los Angeles when she sought support in her time of need. Shockingly, she was informed that the city claimed to be financially incapable of providing her with the retirement she deserved due to her debilitating condition. Instead of offering solace and aid, she was essentially told to relinquish her career or face termination. According to her, the egregious response highlights a profound betrayal of trust and duty by the city towards one of its own officers who bravely put her life on the line in the line of duty. Kaplan's struggle for justice and dignity in the face of such adversity is not just her own, but a reflection of systemic issues within law enforcement and municipal governance. Police Officer Violently Attacked, Shock from the City. Special Episode. As she continues to grapple with the physical and emotional aftermath of the assault, Kaplan's story serves as a stark reminder of the sacrifices made by officers like her and the inadequacies of support systems meant to safeguard their well-being. Her resilience in the face of betrayal is a testament to the strength and determination of those who serve and protect, even when the very institutions they represent fail them. Police Officer Violently Attacked, Shock from the City. Special Episode. The LAPD, renowned as one of the largest municipal police departments in the United States, must confront this shameful episode and strive to uphold the values of justice, compassion, and integrity that are essential to its mission. With Honor Chairs. #Free #Podcast #Radio Officer Sean Collier, a dedicated guardian of MIT's safety, tragically lost his life while on duty. Ambushed by the Boston Marathon bombers on April 18, 2013, Officer Collier was shot and killed in his patrol vehicle, leaving behind a void in the community he served. His death, amidst the chaos of a city in crisis, serves as a stark reminder of the dangers faced by law enforcement officers every day. Similarly, Deputy Kyle Dinkheller's life was cut short in a routine traffic stop turned deadly shootout in Laurens County, Georgia, on January 12, 1998. Ep 589Cop Killer Paroled, The Hearing for Them and Others.

Cop Killer Paroled, The Hearing for Them and Others. Insight into crucial parole proceedings as an Alternate Parole Board member for the New Jersey State Parole Board, Dr. Paitakes brings to bear his extensive 50-year background, which includes stints as a probation officer, esteemed professor at Seton Hall University, and author. Listen to the #Free #Podcast from the National #Radio Show. Recalling a grim chapter in New Jersey's annals, Dr. Paitakes revisits a fateful summer night in 1963 when two police officers were gunned down in a local bar, leaving one assailant incarcerated for a lifetime, an incarceration that spanned decades until an unexpected parole release. The grisly incident serves as a stark reminder of the perils faced by law enforcement. Cop Killer Paroled, The Hearing for Them and Others. Central to Dr. John Paitakes' narrative are the parole hearings he has participated in, notably one concerning a convicted cop killer. Despite the inmate's apparent lack of remorse and antagonistic demeanor toward the parole board, parole was ultimately granted upon appeal, underscoring the delicate balance between rehabilitation and public safety. Cop Killer Paroled, The Hearing for Them and Others. Dr. Paitakes also explores the peculiar case of an inmate vehemently opposed to parole, shedding light on the deep-seated effects of institutionalization on those ensnared within the system. These reflections illuminate the manifold challenges inherent in parole decision-making. Noteworthy is the New Jersey State Parole Board's emphasis on involving crime victims in the parole process, offering avenues for their voices to be heard. Encouraging active engagement from victims and their families ensures thorough consideration of their concerns, with provisions for confidential testimony and dedicated victim services exemplifying the board's commitment to safeguarding their privacy and well-being. Dr. Paitakes' extensive expertise and unwavering commitment to justice advocacy continue to shape discussions on criminal justice reform. As an educator, consultant, and advocate, he remains a steadfast champion in the ongoing quest for a fair and equitable justice system. He documents much of that in the book he wrote, "50 Years Working in Criminal Justice". Cop Killer Paroled, The Hearing for Them and Others. Ep 586Deputy Sheriff Died, State Ignores The Family.

Deputy Sheriff Died, State Ignores The Family. Deputy Daryl Wayne Shuey, a dedicated member of the Pierce County Sheriff's Department in Washington, tragically lost his life in the line of duty on November 10, 2020, succumbing to a heart attack while on patrol at 6:00 am. Engaged in the disposal of heavy items related to a prior case, Deputy Shuey was found unresponsive next to his patrol vehicle. Despite efforts at the MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital, he passed away at 7:00 am. Deputy Shuey's unwavering commitment spanned 26 years of service with the Pierce County Sheriff's Department. He leaves behind his wife, two children, mother, and two brothers. #Free #Podcast #Radio Karen Shuey, his widow, courageously shares the story of his death, reflecting on its profound impact on her and her children and the sense of being unjustly robbed by the State. The journey from the funeral to the deliberate omission of his name on a memorial wall is a testament to the disrespect she feels. Deputy Sheriff Died, State Ignores The Family. The grieving widow's dismay is heightened by the fact that Deputy Shuey's name is absent from the Washington State Law Enforcement Memorial, despite national recognition. Of the 341 individuals commemorated for sacrificing their lives since 1854, Karen Shuey asserts that her husband's absence is a heart-wrenching omission. She emphasizes his dedicated service, the ultimate sacrifice he made, and her belief that he rightfully belongs on that memorial wall. Deputy Sheriff Died, State Ignores The Family. Despite national acknowledgment, including engraving his name on the Fallen Officer Memorial in Spokane and inclusion on the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington, D.C., the state-level recognition remains elusive. The Department of Justice, under the Hometown Heroes Act, recognized Deputy Shuey's line-of-duty death, qualifying his family for federal death benefits. However, the nonprofit organization Behind the Badge, responsible for adding names to the state memorial, follows specific criteria. While heart attacks can be considered line-of-duty deaths if occurring during stressful or strenuous non-routine activities, Karen Shuey contests the inconsistency in applying these criteria, particularly in her husband's case. Deputy Sheriff Died, State Ignores The Family. The Washington State Fraternal Order of Police (WAFOP) echoes Karen Shuey's concerns, advocating for legislative changes to ensure that officers recognized nationally receive the honor they deserve within their home state. The call for uniformity and fairness in recognizing the sacrifice of officers like Deputy Daryl Wayne Shuey reverberates through the plea for the amendment of state law. Ep 584Do Police Have Compassion? Yes, It's Rarely Reported.

Do Police Have Compassion? Yes, It's Rarely Reported. He talks about compassion during a SWAT call out. Compassion for the family member of the suspect that was shot and killed. Plus compassion for the sniper officer that was forced to shoot to save lives. Compassion in Law Enforcement has been an integral part of the job. It has been part of the decision making and handling of calls for all police officers, sheriff's, constables, troopers across the Country. #Free #Podcast #Radio In exploring the compassionate facets of law enforcement, Andy Hughes unveils the pivotal role that compassion assumes, particularly in the intense scenarios of SWAT callouts. Beyond the tactical considerations, Hughes highlights the necessity of extending empathy to the family members of suspects entangled in situations demanding the use of force. He underscores the inherent sensitivity required in navigating these emotionally charged incidents, recognizing the profound impact on those connected to the individuals involved. Do Police Have Compassion? Moreover, Hughes emphasizes the significance of compassion towards sniper officers—individuals compelled to make split-second, life-altering decisions in the interest of public safety. Acknowledging the emotional toll that such actions can exact, he sheds light on the importance of recognizing and addressing the psychological challenges faced by these officers. By extending compassion to those on the front line of critical operations, law enforcement aims to foster a culture of understanding and support within its ranks. The role of compassion within law enforcement extends across a broad spectrum, encompassing not only SWAT teams but also police officers, sheriffs, constables, and troopers nationwide. Reflecting on his diverse career trajectory—from a police officer to an elected sheriff and administrative roles within larger law enforcement agencies—Hughes underscores that compassion is a linchpin in decision-making and call handling throughout the field. Recalling a poignant incident from his experiences, Hughes recounts a kidnapping case in Alabama involving the wife of a bank administrator. The narrative unfolds, offering detailed insights into the intricacies of the investigation, from the initial response to the meticulous tracking that culminated in the successful rescue of the victim. This compelling story provides a vivid illustration of the multifaceted challenges law enforcement officers face, combining technical expertise with unwavering dedication to protecting and serving the community.
