And many, many blessings your way. Namaste. Okay, this is perhaps the simplest meditation I’ll be leading so far, but it’s also quite likely the most powerful. For this is the one where it all begins. To bring more love into our lives, we need to love ourselves more first. This requires burning new messages into our minds, or pressing new grooves into the record that plays over and over again in our heads. Unless you’ve ascended, chances are there are still some negative messages rolling around like marbles. I know for myself, I had a TON of them, and like you still have some to work on myself. But where it all begins is self love. When we truly love ourselves, we can love another, we attract more love into our lives, and attract incredible positive experiences and outcomes. It all comes from the love. So today we’ll be burning a new self-love record. We’ll be repeating a very simple self-love mantra over and over again. Now you don’t need to believe what you’re saying, in order for positive benefits to take place. Let me repeat that. You don’t have to believe it. Just keep repeating the mantra. It’ll raise your energy levels, raise your vibrations, and over time, you can’t help but begin to believe it! I recommend doing this every day for at least a month. Commit to it for yourself. Wake up, roll over, and practice 3 to 5 minutes of this I Love Myself Meditation. So how do you do it? Well, I’ll have you repeat along with me, the simple words I Love Myself. At the same time, you’ll breath nice and slow as your right hand massages your chest in a circular motion clockwise (up inside, down outside) on your chest, or tapping your chest right above the heart with your first and second finger. It’ super-simple, looks pretty silly, and amazingly effective. I swear by it, and it’s dramatically helped me rewrite some toxic wiring in my mind... Of course, in its simplicity lies it’s beauty. All you’re going to do is inhale for a count of four, hold for a count of four, exhale for a count of four, and hold for a count of four. Of course, I always want you to inhale in and out through the nose, which has great health benefits, and dramatically helps relax the body. Rather than trying to quiet the mind, try to just keep focusing on the breath. If a thought comes up, and it will, notice you’re thinking, then go right back to your breath. It’s like you’re out on a date, someone may stop by to say hi, but you’ve got you’re date, so you probably won’t invite them to the table. Now I don’t want you to be rude, but if a thought comes up, you don’t have to it to the table either, simply go back to your date, which in this case is your breath. Alright, are you ready to begin? I’ll give you the count, and we’ll just go for a few short minutes. Of course, feel free to continue after I stop, for as long as you’d like. For example, if you want to ask someone for a date, don’t sit around wondering for 3 months, but ask her for a date. May work, or may not, but will get to the end and find some success much sooner than sitting around wondering about it. So today we have a very relaxing, and powerful breathing exercise and meditation brought to you by our upcoming guest Patrick McKeown, a world expert on the Buteyko breathing method and author of seven books on the breath including the brand new Oxygen Advantage. You often hear me talking about breathing in and out through the nose. There are many powerful reasons for that, one in particular is to help the mind go quiet, and rewire. This exercise in particular will help you do just that. By practicing this exercise, you’ll literally making changes to your brain that will help you throughout the day, and any time you experience stress. This exercise will help you cultivate greater concentration, focus, patience, and relaxation, even under heavy stress. With practice it can even help you sleep better. ---Perfect Too for ADHD or a Hyper-Active Mind!!!--- It’s very powerful, which is why I practice it quite often, and I always stress breathing in and out through the nose. If you’ve been listening to the show, then you’ve likely heard Michael mention a couple of near death accidents he’s had. Today, we’re going to revisit near death accident number one, what transpired right before, what exactly took place so that Michael found himself flying through the air before crashing down on a cement sidewalk and how he found his way back, stronger and more vibrant than ever before. If you’ve ever felt completely upside down, like you’ve been thrown in a blender and tossed around or as if someone’s just hit the reset button on your life, then do we have the show for you. We’ll be talking about why we sometimes need a cosmic two by four from the universe, what you can learn from life’s seemingly darkest moments, and how a positive attitude can make all the difference between slipping away versus rising to the occasion and shining brighter than ever before. So you laced up and headed off again down the trail, then what happened? The EMT’s arrive and they keep asking you if you’ve hit your head, why? Was there a sense of relief? Do you think perhaps there was a part of you that felt this trip was a mistake? So you arrive at the hospital and the doctor takes x-rays of your leg. What was his prognosis? How did you know everything was going to go back perfectly? Did you have any fear whatsoever? After you’ve woken up after surgery, the doctor comes rushing into your room with new x-rays. At that point, how long were the hospital personnel planning on keeping you there? How did you convince them to release you early? At this point, it might seem like the hardest part of the ordeal was over, meaning surviving the accident and getting out of the hospital. But things didn’t get easier. When the accident took place, your fiancé at the time was out of the country. Two weeks after you get out of the hospital, she breaks up with you. I imagine that was extremely devastating at the time. You’re lying or sitting in bed for much of everyday, barely able to care for yourself. Stacks of hospital bills are starting to arrive in the mail. You can’t work. And then the woman you think you’re going to spend the rest of your life with drops you cold. What was going through your mind? Why do you think the Universe served it all to you at once? How did you stay positive? What was the process like for you learning to walk again? Was there ever any question? What did you discover out on the trails? Often, when we experience a major health crisis, it’s like hitting the reset button. I’ve found that in my own experience, it’s an opportunity to break old patterns and habits that no longer serve us and to put in new habits that do. What were old habits that didn’t serve you?
