Sometimes, we let our worldly concerns take our attention away from God’s strength. But, in today’s message, Pastor JD challenges us to remember that comparing God to our little problems is almost insulting! No problem is too big or too little for God, so why should we wait to ask him for his guidance?

So why then would such a small problem ever be too little for him? God can handle everything you throw at him, don’t ever let yourself think otherwise!

One might ask, just how exactly should we be encouraged by the growing severity of trials and tribulations as believers and followers of Christ. It can be easy to get so used to the blessings that God has given you that you forget that they were from the Lord…That they were His gift and provision for you. That’s the trap that King Hezekiah falls into in today’s passage. Pastor JD encourages you to stay humble and grateful, remembering that all you have is a gift from the Lord.

In the story of the tortoise and the hare, the hare’s confidence was his downfall. He was so sure of his ability to beat the tortoise that he lets his guard down, falls asleep, and loses the race. Well, today, Pastor JD says the same thing happened to King Hezekiah. His pride and lack of vigilance led him to make some poor decisions.

Your prayers matter. That’s what Pastor JD shares in today’s message. King Hezekiah doesn’t know what to do about the Assyrian army that’s coming up against them. So he runs to the Lord and he prays. You’ll see that it was because of his prayers that the Lord responded. God could answer because Hezekiah asked.

Things can sometimes feel helpless and dire in the world right now. But, as Pastor JD teaches today, believer, don’t despair. All that’s happening is pointing to the last days. Biblical prophecy is being fulfilled and world events indicate it could be any day that Jesus could return. Be ready and watchful and full of hope.

Sometimes, when you look at unbelievers in the world around you, they all seem to prosper, while you and other believers in Christ are suffering. And while it doesn’t seem fair, Pastor JD teaches today, that this is as good as it gets for the unbelievers. You, on the other hand, will experience God for all eternity in Heaven. Rejoice in that.

God promises that those who believe in Christ, though they may suffer in this world, will be kept and guarded by God until the end. And as Pastor JD teaches today, the persecutions and trials that believers go through are increasing in these last days, they will be brought through by God. It’s only a little while compared to eternity.

Today, Pastor JD encourages you to follow King Hezekiah’s example. When the circumstances of your life leave you feeling scared or uncertain…run to the Lord. Go to Him and ask Him to show you the way forward. As you pray, He’ll remind you of His character and promises and He’ll show you what to do next.

Today, Pastor JD looks at how the Assyrian king tried to stir up fear in the Israelites so they would surrender. He points out that Satan does this same thing to you. He’s trying his best to stir up fear so that he can defeat you. Pastor JD will walk you through the Israelite’s response and see how you can apply that to your life.

There will be no more pain or suffering, no more illness... Simply abiding in Jesus and singing His praises forevermore.

Or, knowing that someone you cared about wasn’t able to accept their salvation, and lost their own redeeming.

Everyone has had one or more of those times in life that are just downright awful. Between illness, job loss, or relational troubles, this world has its share of struggles for you to endure... And in today's message, Pastor JD will remind you that you don't have to endure any battle on your own, Jesus is by your side through it all.
