While God wants us to remember His goodness towards us, the Enemy seeks to torment us by drawing our memory back to our failures. The Bible tells us that God disciplines His children. And today, Pastor JD shows that this truth is encouraging! God’s discipline validates that we are His children, and it will always be for our good! While we will undoubtedly face challenges in life, we can take heart, knowing that God is working for our good – even if it hurts for now.

Today, Pastor JD reminds us how spectacular God’s glory is. This glory is not to be trifled with by mortals – if we try to take glory for what only God has done, there will be consequences. God takes this very seriously, and all the glory belongs to Him alone. Our flesh will never glory in the presence of Christ.

It’s tempting to imagine Jesus as harsh towards His disciples. But, as Pastor JD shows us today, that’s not the picture given to us in the Bible. In fact, prophecies in the Old Testament point to a shockingly gentle Savior. And the Gospels show us a Christ who was so compassionate that children flocked to Him.

In Lukes's gospel, Jesus rebuked the religious leaders of His day, for not recognizing signs of the times, in which they lived. In today's Prophecy Update, Pastor JD points out that the signs of the times in which we live are nearly impossible to mistake. Not only are they clear, but they're also becoming increasingly more frequent.

Do you know a deep sleeper? Are you one yourself? You know, your head hits the pillow, the REM sleep kicks in and you're snoring away. You're dead to the world, completely oblivious to anything around you. In today's Prophecy update, Pastor JD warns us of the danger, of being in a spiritual state, of “deep sleep.”

Whatever you might think about being “woke”, the truth is, that the bible clearly teaches us as believers in Christ, that we should be awake. No problem is too big or too little for God, so why should we wait to ask him for his guidance?

So why then would such a small problem ever be too little for him? God can handle everything you throw at him, don’t ever let yourself think otherwise!

Today, Pastor JD reminds us that these are to point us to God's glory, and ultimately, we face these times for our good.

The prophecies made thousands of years ago seem so distant and almost not able to be applied today. But that couldn't be further from the truth. You get so excited about what God just did that you forget to keep your guard up. He shares that Satan takes advantage of your distraction and tries to make you stumble and fall.

While many of us are far too busy to be paying attention to every single detail of global events, we would do well to put in at least a little effort. As Pastor JD explains in his message today, the dense cluster of recent global events should be enough to sound the alarm for what The Bible describes as “watchers on the wall.”

Ever since the penning of the Book of Revelation, there have been countless speculations as to what the contents of the book truly mean. That’s the trap that King Hezekiah falls into in today’s passage. Pastor JD encourages you to stay humble and grateful, remembering that all you have is a gift from the Lord.

In the story of the tortoise and the hare, the hare’s confidence was his downfall. He was so sure of his ability to beat the tortoise that he lets his guard down, falls asleep, and loses the race. Well, today, Pastor JD says the same thing happened to King Hezekiah. His pride and lack of vigilance led him to make some poor decisions.
