Ep 163The Truth About Visibility, Pivots, and Finally Being Seen with Jessica Burgio
You don’t need another strategy. You need to move. In this episode, I’m sitting down with Jessica Burgio and we’re getting real about visibility, pivots, and why so many people stay stuck even when they know they want more. We talk about: Why pivots aren’t messy, they’re actually how you find alignment The real reason you feel stuck (hint: it’s not a lack of ideas) Why visibility isn’t just posting, it’s how you show up everywhere The long game of putting yourself out there (even when it feels slow) How small, consistent actions create massive momentum over time If you’ve been waiting to feel ready, confident, or “clear enough”… this is your reminder that none of that comes first. You don’t find clarity before action, you find it because of it. Ep 162The Missing Piece Between Your Goals and Actually Getting Them Done
At an event, I was walking a group through how to prioritize after an event, narrowing it down to just three things, and wow… the resistance was real. And honestly? I get it. Because what I didn’t fully say (but just assumed people knew) is this: Those “three priorities”? They’re not just three things. They’re 5, 10, sometimes 20+ micro steps underneath each one. And in this episode, I’m breaking down not just how to choose your priorities, but how to actually move on them in a way that feels doable, sustainable, and real. Because you don’t need more goals. You need smaller steps. What You’ll Hear in This Episode The biggest mistake people make after events (and in 90-day planning) What “micro steps” really look like in real life A simple way to map out your next moves without overcomplicating it Resources: Want access to the NEW free resource to help you post-event? Ep 161From Operator to CEO: The Hiring Strategy That Came from a Major Life Update
In this episode, I’m sharing a big personal update, and how it’s completely reshaping the way I run my business. This big updated has forced me to step back and seriously rethink how my business operates. Instead of continuing to run everything myself, I’ve had to ask a bigger question: How do I build a business that allows me to be present for my family while still growing the company? That question led to some major realizations about where my time and energy were actually going. In this episode, I walk through the shifts I’m making inside the business, from narrowing my focus to the parts that scale, to hiring the right people who can step in and help carry the work forward. Instead of trying to do everything myself, I’m building a structure that allows the company to grow while I step more fully into the CEO and visionary role. This episode is really about what happens when life forces you to zoom out. Sometimes it takes a big personal shift to realize that the business you’ve built needs to evolve too. Ep 160You Left the Event Inspired… Now What?
We hear it all the time before attending events: set your intentions. What do you want to learn? Who do you want to meet? What outcomes are you hoping for? But in my experience, the real transformation doesn’t happen during the event, it happens after. In this episode, I’m sharing the process I personally use to take everything I learned at an event and actually turn it into action. Because let’s be honest: most of us leave events with pages of notes, dozens of ideas, and then… life and business take back over. Suddenly those insights sit in a notebook and never get implemented. As I’m preparing to head to the Soulward Summit in Nashville, where I’ll be facilitating this exact process with a group of women, I wanted to walk you through the simple framework I use to integrate what you learn instead of feeling overwhelmed by it. I talk about: Why giving yourself space after an event is critical for integration The simple filtering method I use to decide what’s a no, a maybe, or a hell yes Why trying to implement everything is the fastest way to implement nothing Because the truth is, not everything you learn at an event is meant for you, and it’s definitely not meant for you all at once. This episode will help you leave your next event with clarity, a plan, and the confidence to implement the ideas that truly align with your goals right now. And if you’re an event host or facilitator, I also share how this integration process can be built into events so attendees don’t just feel inspired, they actually leave with a plan to take action. Ep 159Rest, Reconnect, Reinvest: How This Drastically Impacts You & Your Business
This week, I’m sharing in real time what came up for me after taking a much-needed few days away from meetings and client work. That space reminded me of three big things: I need to actually schedule rest, I need to keep reconnecting to my purpose, and in this season, the right investment looks a little different. I’m talking about what it looked like to step back, what I noticed coming back into work, and why I know it’s time to hire in a way that feels aligned, sustainable, and supportive. In this episode, I talk about: Why rest needs to go on your calendar How I reconnect to my purpose when work starts feeling heavy Importance of reconnecting to your purpose not only when it’s hard Why I’m reinvesting in people and support in this season of business My hope this episode reminds you to slow down, reconnect with what matters most, and get the support you need in the season you are in. Ep 158Overcommitted or Expanding? How to Actually Tell the Difference
I’m walking you through a season where I have had to ask myself: Am I stretching my capacity… or have I overcommitted? Because there’s a difference. Stretching feels uncomfortable, but aligned. Overcommitting feels heavy and draining. In this conversation, I share: What stretching my capacity looked like in real life The signs I ignored when I crossed into overcommitment The moment I realized my calendar was running me The boundaries I’m putting in place right now If your schedule is full but your energy isn’t… this is for you. Ep 157From Integrator to Visionary: Reflections from Soul x Strategy
This episode is a reflection on Soul x Strategy - a two-day experience blending subconscious work with real marketing strategy, and what it surfaced for me in this season of simplicity. Inside this conversation: Why being in the room (without running the room) stretched me The hiring fear I had to finally name What happens when you’re flooded with ideas and realize not all of them are yours The identity shift from “doer” to actual business owner This intensive reminded me that I’m not meant to keep doing all the things. I’m meant to lead. To mentor. To build depth, not volume. And that shift? It’s still unfolding. So here’s the reflection I’ll leave you with: When you walk into a room full of strategy and possibility… Do you know what’s actually yours to carry? Ep 156Branding, Innovation, & Personal Planning with Amanda Key
I’m sitting down with my dear friend Amanda Key, someone I met a little over two years ago at our very first Powerhouse Women event. We showed up not knowing anyone, sat next to each other, and have been walking alongside one another ever since. Amanda shares about her decade-long career in product development and innovation, and how she’s learned to blend data, intuition, and storytelling to create products people genuinely connect with. But we also go beyond career and into what this past year has looked like for her on a personal level. We explore: Why listening comes before creating Using data and intuition together Building a personal “rally cry” or guiding word Letting go of constant productivity and redefining success The quiet confidence that grows when you honor who you are Amanda’s honesty and heart shine through this entire conversation, and I know so many of you will see pieces of yourselves in her story. Ep 155Identity, Boundaries, and Becoming Who You’re Meant to Be with Priya Patel
In this special in-person, dual episode recorded in London, Priya and I sat down for an honest, reflective conversation about identity shifts, inner work, boundaries, and what it really looks like to navigate seasons of change. We talk about what happens when the version of you that once fit no longer does, and how to give yourself permission to evolve without needing all the answers first. In this episode, we explore: The fear of judgment that often comes with pivots and identity shifts What embodiment actually looks like beyond mindset work Updating your identity as you grow and do deeper inner work Navigating boundaries with others and yourself Why community matters so deeply during times of transition If you’re in a season where things feel unclear, if you’re questioning who you’re becoming, or if you’re standing at a crossroads, this episode is here to remind you that you’re not alone and that you can trust yourself to find your way. Ep 154Planning 2026 (Part 2): Q1 Priorities & Knowing Your Numbers
Welcome back for part two of our 2026 planning series. If part one was about getting clear on your desires for the year, today we’re taking it a step further and bringing those desires into a more grounded, tangible focus for Q1. I’m walking you through how to choose your true priorities for this first quarter, how to break them down into simple, needle-moving action steps, and why knowing your numbers plays such an important role in all of it. Inside this episode, we explore: How to pull clear Q1 priorities from your 2026 desires Narrowing your focus to what you can realistically move forward in the next 30 days Why knowing your numbers creates ease, clarity, and better decisions Making intentional investments in support, team, and growth I also share a bit about two ways to work with me more closely this year: IME (Immersion Mastermind Experience), opens Quarterly- next opportunity Feb 5th-13th, 2026 In-person Immersion in La Crosse, Wisconsin this May If you’re craving deeper support, community, and intentional space to think, plan, and move forward, those details are waiting for you in the links above. Ep 153Training, Trust, and 48.6 Miles Later: My Dopey Challenge Reflection
One week after finishing the Dopey Challenge, I finally had the space to sit down and reflect on what this experience truly gave me beyond the miles, the medals, and the early mornings. In this episode, I walk you through the full experience from how I found out about the Dopey Challenge, why I chose to run with Team Fox in honor of my grandfather, and what six months of training really looked like, to the unexpected lessons that followed me long after crossing the finish line. This wasn’t about pace. It wasn’t about PRs. It was about learning how to listen to my body, fuel myself without guilt, say no without fear, and allow something hard to also be joyful. Here’s what I reflect on in this episode: What the Dopey Challenge actually is and why it’s such a unique experience. What 28 weeks of training taught me about commitment, boundaries, and self-trust. How fueling, hydration, sleep, and recovery completely changed how my body responded. The deeper “why” behind running. How these lessons are now showing up in my life and business in small, meaningful ways I also share why this won’t be my last Dopey and how this experience reshaped the way I make decisions, trust myself, and show up without overthinking. This episode isn’t really about running. It’s about what happens when you commit to something that stretches you, and allow the journey to change you along the way. Ep 152Planning 2026 (Part 1): The 5 Essential & Strategic Steps I & My Clients Use
Most people plan their year from a place of obligation, over-functioning, and blind optimism. In this episode, I lay the strategic foundation for planning & designing 2026 in a way that actually works, with desires that serve your life, not steal from it. You’ll walk away with a clear framework to assess what needs to go, what needs to be completed, and what kind of life you’re actually building your business to support. What You’ll Learn: The #1 planning mistake even seasoned entrepreneurs make in Q1 (and what to do instead). How to audit your calendar to uncover hidden energetic drains. Why I don’t believe in vision casting without infrastructure to hold it. 5 foundational decisions to anchor your year in sustainability, not stress. You can’t create alignment by accident. You need desires, intentions, & a structure that supports your energy, your family, your business, and your next evolution.
Ep 151Choosing a Word of the Year for 2026
In this solo episode, I’m sharing my word of the year for 2026. This isn’t about picking a trendy word or something that sounds impressive. It’s about choosing a word that actually shapes how I show up in life, work, and every single day. If you listened to last week’s episode on my 2025 reflections, this will feel like a natural continuation. If you didn’t, this episode still stands on its own as an invitation to simplify what doesn’t need to be so complicated. In this episode, I talk about: Why I choose a word of the year. Moving from worthy in 2025 to simplicity in 2026. How my priorities are shifting from business-first to a more holistic life focus. Simplifying my business offers, systems, launches, and team structure. A reminder that your word doesn’t need to be mine, but it should support real change Also highly recommend listening to the below episode to explore your word through human design, including Nicole Laino’s work: https://nicolelaino.com/podcast/episode434 Resources: Connect on Instagram – @cat.roten Interested in weekly updates? Ep 150Looking Back Before Moving Forward: Reflecting on 2025
It was late December as I recorded this episode. I was cozy, cup of coffee in hand, and sitting with the last days of the year. And instead of pushing forward or planning ahead, I felt called to pause and reflect on what 2025 actually asked of me. This year wasn’t about doing more. It was about embodying more. At the start of the year, my word was worthy. Not as a mindset shift, but as something I wanted to live in my body, my decisions, and my boundaries. And as the year unfolded, that embodiment showed up through grief, rest, deep inner work, and unexpected growth in both life and business. This episode isn’t a summary of the year. It’s an invitation. To pause. To reflect. To honor who you were at the beginning of the year and who you are now. Ep 149What Hosting Taught Me About Receiving & Purpose: Immersion Reflections
It’s been a few weeks since the Immersion I hosted in Boone, North Carolina, and the experience stayed with me in a way I didn’t expect. I’ve shared pieces of it in writing, but I wanted to capture it here, out loud, while it’s still alive. The Immersion in Nov. 2025 felt different from the one I hosted earlier this year. Not better. Just more me. More intentional. More aligned with how I actually want to create space and support women in business. From the energy of the mountains, to the women in the room, to moments I couldn’t have planned if I tried, something shifted. In this episode, I talk about: How the women in the room mirrored something back to me that I hadn’t fully seen yet My ongoing relationship with receiving (and why it’s harder than it sounds) How the Immersion Mastermind Experience (IME) came to life organically, not strategically. The difference between attending powerful rooms and hosting them, and what each can unlock. What surprised me most wasn’t just what the women received from the space, but what I received from them. Their reflections, encouragement, and honesty invited me to stop overgiving, stop overbuilding, and allow something aligned to emerge naturally. If you’re curious about future immersions or IME, joining the email list is the best place to stay connected. And if you know you want in, send me a DM on Instagram (below) letting me know! Ep 148Dispelling the Myths of Hypnosis with Kelsey Lettko
In this episode, I sit down with someone who’s become such a grounding presence in my world over the last few months, KelseyLettko. She is an integrative hypnotist, coach, and the founder of Elevated You. If you’ve ever been curious about hypnosis… or maybe even a little skeptical… this conversation will change the way you see hypnosis forever. From the moment I met her earlier this year, I knew there was something special about the way she blends life, leadership, science, and soul. And now that I’ve been working with her personally, I can honestly say: this work is fast, powerful, and so much more accessible than most people realize. In today’s episode, we talk about: How Kelsey went from tech → yoga → coaching → hypnosis Why so many of us misunderstand hypnosis (and what it actually is) How the brain creates patterns… and how pattern interruption truly works My favorite part of this conversation is how approachable Kelsey makes the science of change feel. She reminds us that our unconscious mind isn’t something to fear, it’s something to partner with. If you’ve been craving support that meets you both emotionally and neurologically… this episode is your invitation to explore a new tool. One that helps you come home to what’s already inside of you. Ep 147Burning It Down to Build Something New & You with Joni Cesario
There are seasons when life invites you into a deeper version of yourself, usually through discomfort, loss, or the unraveling of what once made sense. In this episode, I sit down with my friend Joni Cesario, someone whose past few months have been marked by bold decisions, closed doors, and a vision so big she had to burn down almost everything that wasn’t supporting it. What she shares is not polished. It’s not tied up with a bow. It’s the real, in-process story of walking away from a business, releasing relationships, grieving identity, and choosing to trust the unknown anyway. Inside the episode, we explore: What happens internally when you let go of a business, a relationship, and an identity all at once. How grief shows up during big transitions and why it’s actually a sign of expansion. What it looks like to build a long-term vision from a place of embodiment, not urgency. The early whisper of an emotionally adaptive AI tool she’s creating—born directly from her lived experience. Sometimes the bravest thing we can do is create space before we know what will fill it. Ep 146The Power of Intentional Growth: Evolving in Business, Friendship, and Leadership with Vanessa Kavulish
Today’s episode I got to sit down with my friend Vanessa Kavulish, someone I connected with back in 2024 and continue to grow alongside in such a real and meaningful way. When I think about the last year, and how much both of us have evolved in our businesses, our identities, and even our friendship, this conversation captures all of it. We talk about what it means to grow intentionally… not just in business, but in your relationships, your energy, and the way you choose who gets access to you. We’ve both been in seasons of learning to nurture the right people, honor our bandwidth, and let go of the “golden retriever” version of ourselves that befriended everyone and tried to hold it all. Vanessa also shares what it’s been like to evolve as a Human Design manifesting generator, a multi-passionate entrepreneur, and someone who genuinely loves to build. We dive deep into: Fear, discomfort, and “the edge” — and how to know when it’s a loving push vs. a misaligned yes. Why some people thrive with multiple passions and why that’s a gift, not a flaw. The truth about consulting vs. fractional vs. coaching, and why consulting is such a powerful support system for founders. It’s honest, energizing, and such a reminder that we are all allowed to grow, shift, and re-choose as many times as we need. Ep 145Why Relationships & Community Matter in Entrepreneurship with Allie Hickox
Some episodes feel less like content and more like a much needed conversation. And this one with Allie is exactly that. If you’ve been navigating seasons of change or craving real connection while building a business… this conversation will meet you right where you are. In today’s episode, Allie and I drop into a heartfelt reflection on the evolution of entrepreneurship, identity, community, and choosing relationships that actually sustain us. We talk about what it means to grow in public and let people support you even when receiving still feels tender. Allie shares her journey from Costa Rica retreats to deeply rooted community work in Milwaukee and what shifted when she stopped trying to go “zero to sixty” and started honoring her season instead. We explore the power of intimate in-person connection, the real fears behind visibility, and how entrepreneurship will always invite you into deeper self-trust (whether you’re ready or not). Inside the episode, we talk about: Realizing when you're delaying your own momentum and why. How in-person relationships can shift you & your business. Letting your offers evolve as you evolve. Learning to receive… even when it feels wildly uncomfortable This episode is an invitation to pause and ask yourself: Where am I doing this alone when I don’t have to? Ep 144Branding with Intention: That Feels Like You & Lasts with Designer & HD Reflector, Taryn Schroder
Over the last few months, I’ve been quietly rebuilding the foundation of my brand and business — not from pressure, but from intention. And today’s episode is a peek behind the curtain of that process with the woman who’s been walking beside me through all of it. In this conversation, I sit down with Taryn Schroder, branding and web designer behind Madewith Studio and Human Design Reflector, who has been helping me bring my new visual identity to life. If you’ve ever wondered what it looks like to build a brand that actually feels like you, not the version you think you “should” be, this episode is such a great place to start. We talk about how we met, how Taryn is supporting me through branding myself & businesses, and the emotional side of letting yourself evolve creatively and professionally. Taryn also shares her own journey from corporate life to full-time entrepreneurship, the moment she finally took the leap, and why her Human Design as a Reflector is actually a superpower in her client work. Inside the episode, we explore: What it really feels like to invest in branding as a founder How to choose colors, fonts, and visuals that reflect your values and identity Why consistency matters more than trendiness for long-term growth Taryn’s practical tips for anyone preparing to uplevel their brand or website The power of having a partner who believes in your dreams This conversation is part storytelling, part permission slip. Whether you’re DIY-ing your visuals, preparing for a brand refresh, or simply in a season of expansion, my hope is that it helps you trust your process and remember that your brand is simply an extension of you. Ep 143Self-Love vs. Self-Care: The Real Difference and Why It Matters
I’m sharing something that completely shifted the way I think about taking care of myself m… the real difference between self-love and self-care. This realization hit me while I was at the Soul Led Speaker Training with Stephanie Ross, where I got to connect with so many incredible women, and even speak. One of them, Cailee, shared something so simple yet so powerful: Self-care is what we do. Self-love is how we be. That moment stopped me in my tracks. Because while I’ve always talked about self-care, the workouts, the healthy meals, the routines, I hadn’t realized how much I didn’t realize the difference in this verses being. The part where I simply sit with myself, feel present, and allow myself to rest, reflect, and receive. In this episode, I unpack what self-love actually looks like, why it’s so different from self-care, and how I’m learning to make space for both. It’s a short reflection, but one that I hope helps you see your own practices in a new light. In this episode, I talk about: ✨ The key difference between self-love and self-care ✨ Why self-love is about being, not doing ✨ Simple ways to bring more love and presence into your daily routine Resources: Join our Weekly Email Insider! Ep 142From Apologizing to Acknowledging
In this solo episode, I’m opening up about something I’ve personally struggled with… saying “I’m sorry” way too often. Whether it’s for a late reply, a missed message, or something as small as forgetting to switch the laundry, I’ve realized how quick I am to apologize… even when it’s not really needed. This topic came up recently in a conversation with one of my clients, and it hit me just how often we all do this. How often we give our power away through unnecessary apologies. Instead of apologizing for every little thing, what if we simply acknowledged what happened and owned it without shame? In this episode, I talk about: Why we feel the urge to over-apologize and how it affects our confidence The difference between apologizing and acknowledging How to hold onto your power in your words and responses Simple ways to reframe everyday “I’m sorry” moments I also share a bit about my upcoming Immersion in Boone — something I’m so excited for — and what’s next for Imperfectly Impactful in 2026. Ep 141Full Circle: Returning to What’s Always Felt True
Two years ago, I hit “publish” on my very first podcast episode—without a plan, just a name that had landed in my heart: Imperfectly Impactful. I had no idea where it would take me… or who I would become in the process. In this episode, I’m bringing it all back. After seasons of refinement, name changes, and reconnecting with my core message, I’m officially returning to the name that started it all. ✨ Imperfectly Impactful is back. This is more than a name change—it’s a return to self, a reclamation of what’s always been true for me and my work. I’m sharing the behind-the-scenes of my evolution, how I’ve embraced brand clarity, why I paused and pivoted, and what’s coming next for the podcast (including upcoming in-person guest episodes!). In this short, heart-led episode, I share: Why I originally moved away from Imperfectly Impactful and why it’s time to return How branding work has brought me deeper into alignment What you can expect from the podcast moving forward An invitation to join me in more in-person conversations and collaborative episodes Whether you’ve been here since the first episode or you’re just discovering this space, I’m so grateful you’re listening. Ep 140A Season of Intentionality: Protecting Your Peace and Saying No with Purpose
In this episode, I’m coming to you with a full heart… and to be honest, a very tired body. I’m in what I’ve been calling my “season of intentionality.” Every decision I make right now—whether it’s saying yes to a new client, attending an event, or spending time with friends—has to come from a place of intention and alignment. I share openly about how I’ve had to step back, say no to opportunities I’d love to say yes to, and focus instead on what’s truly nourishing me right now: my business, my health, my marriage, my spiritual growth, and my upcoming Dopey Challenge training. This isn’t about burnout—it’s about protecting your peace, knowing your limits, and allowing yourself to rest when your capacity is stretched thin. If you’re in a similar season, I want this episode to be your reminder that it’s okay to slow down, say no, and honor where you are. We talk about: Learning to keep your yeses sacred Navigating seasons of growth and exhaustion How to listen when your body (and your intuition) ask for rest The power of delegating and getting support when you need it So if you’ve been feeling stretched, tired, or pulled in every direction—this one’s for you. You’re not alone. Let’s protect our energy together and keep showing up with intention. 🪷 Reflect with me: What’s one area in your life or business where you could be more intentional right now? Ep 139When I Realized It Didn’t Have to Be So Hard
Last week I shared about growth and momentum in my business, and this week I’m diving even deeper into a realization that stopped me in my tracks: it can be easy. After weeks of excitement, overwhelm, and big opportunities, I sat down with my mentors and uncovered a belief I didn’t even know I was carrying… the idea that success has to be hard. Long hours, constant hustle, and nonstop “doing” had become my default. But through powerful conversations and a hypnotherapy session, I discovered that ease is not only possible, it’s essential. In this episode, I’m sharing: ✨ The mindset shift that helped me release the belief that everything must be hard ✨ How I’m creating mornings and workdays that feel lighter and more aligned ✨ A journaling prompt to help you step into your own state of ease and flow (cape included!) If you’ve ever felt like building a business, or simply living life, has to come with constant struggle, this episode is your reminder that you can choose another way. Grab your favorite coffee, imagine your own “cape,” and join me as we explore what it really means to let success be easy. Imagine yourself three months from now, living in a state of ease and flow. ✨ What would your day look like? ✨ Who would be around you? ✨ What small step can you take today to bring that version of you closer? Ep 138My Best Clients Don’t Come from Social Media (Let’s Talk About It)
In this episode, I’m sharing the behind-the-scenes of my biggest business growth yet and the surprising shift that made it possible. After months of social media burnout and endless emails, I decided to stop forcing daily posts and start showing up where I naturally thrive… in person. From coffee chats to local entrepreneur events, I discovered that word-of-mouth marketing isn’t just old-school, it’s incredibly effective. I’ll walk you through: How turning away from constant online posting brought me faster, more sustainable growth The real connections and client wins that came from local networking (including a medical company partnership!) My favorite mindset shifts and reflection questions to help you find your best growth channel If you’ve been feeling drained by social media or wondering where your next client is coming from, this episode will give you permission to grow your business in a way that feels exciting… and actually works. Take a moment to reflect on your own client journey. ✨ Where have most of your opportunities truly come from—social media, email, word-of-mouth, or in-person connections? ✨ What does that reveal about where you might focus more of your energy next? I’d love to hear your insights! Share your reflection with me on Instagram. Ep 137Tapping Into Your Creativity
In this episode of Success Beyond Strategy, I’m sharing my personal journey of reconnecting with creativity and giving myself permission to play. With my coffee in hand on a quiet morning, I talk about how I’ve been leaning into practices that spark joy—like dancing around my house, getting lost in fiction books, and exploring what fun really looks like for me as an adult. I dive into my experience with The Artist’s Way and the idea of “shadow artists,” those of us who hide our creative side behind productivity and busyness. For years, I tied my worth to getting things done, but now I’m slowly stripping that away and allowing myself to simply create for the love of it. Whether it’s choreography from my color guard days or the thrill of imagining new worlds through books, I’m learning how creativity shows up in everyday life. My challenge for you is to think back to what lit you up as a kid—maybe it was dance, drawing, writing, or something totally unexpected—and start bringing it back into your life. We all have creativity within us; it’s just about making space to let it out. I can’t wait to hear what sparks come alive for you, so after you listen, come find me on Instagram or drop me a message and share how you’re tapping into your own creativity. Ep 136Redefining Leadership & A Life Update
This episode is part life update, part soul share. and one I recorded while sitting in the middle of some big shifts. I’ve been talking a lot about the Power of Choice, and this feels like a natural extension of that. Because lately, I’ve been choosing to slow down and listen more deeply. Not just to what the business needs, but to what I need as a leader, partner, friend, and human. In this episode, I’m opening up about: The business momentum I wasn’t expecting (and how I’m navigating it). Why I’m hiring before I feel fully “ready”. What intuitive leadership means to me (and how it’s changing my client work). My evolving relationship with being a leader at home, in my business, and in community. I also share a behind-the-scenes look at what’s been unfolding spiritually for me: working with a psychic mentor, listening more intently to my intuition, and leaning into a new way of making decisions that honors my energy and inner knowing first. If you’ve been in a season of redefining leadership or reconnecting with your purpose, then this one’s for you. Reflect with me: What does leadership look like in your life right now? And how might you lead yourself with more trust? Resources: Join our Weekly Email Insider! Connect on Instagram – @cat.roten Learn about Shaklee HERE Prefer Video?- Checkout our Youtube channel.
Ep 135Power of Choice Series: The Hardest and Most POWERFUL Choice Yet
To close out the Power of Choice series, I’m sharing the one choice that has asked the most of me… and given me the most in return: The choice to lead with love. Even when it’s easier to be frustrated, stressed, or shut down. In this episode, I talk about: What it actually looks like to choose love in real-time (not just in theory) How this shows up in personal relationships, business, and leadership This isn’t about bypassing or pretending everything is fine. It’s about becoming the version of me who can hold love and pain at the same time and still choose softness. Still choose connection. Still choose myself. Because love isn’t a reward. It’s a practice. And choosing it? That’s the most powerful decision of all. Resources: Join our Weekly Email Insider! Ep 134Powerhouse 2025 Recap: When You Realize… Things Are Actually Good
This episode is a reflection straight from the heart days after returning from Powerhouse Women 2025. I walked into that weekend thinking I needed to fix something. That there was something missing. That I had to do more to be worthy of the next level. But what I found? Peace. Ease. Support. And a full-body realization that… maybe things are already good. In this episode, I’m sharing: Why being triggered isn’t always bad—and what it taught me How I’m learning to live in the good instead of constantly looking for what’s wrong My deep gratitude for the community and friendships that hold me This is your reminder that you don’t have to hustle to earn what’s already yours. Sometimes, the power is in softening. And letting it be actually good. Resources: Join our Weekly Email Insider! Ep 133Power of Choice Series: Building Community Near & Far
Community has looked a lot of different ways for me over the years including packed online networking calls to quiet in-person walks or coffee meet-ups with just one other person. And if I'm honest, I used to believe that bigger meant better. That community needed to be every day, every moment, sharing about each other constantly on social, etc. to be powerful. But this past year has shown me that intimacy, intention, and alignment matter so much more than numbers OR even who. In this episode of the Power of Choice series, I’m reflecting on what it’s meant to build my community locally for the first time in years, while also balancing my virtual community. In this conversation, I share: How I’ve started building an aligned community both locally & virtually. How I’ve redefined connection, networking, and showing up for others. The role discernment plays in choosing who gets your energy. This one’s especially for those of you who feel disconnected or unsure of what community means in this season (even when you already have it). Whether you’re craving depth, simplicity, or a new way of showing up, this is your reminder that community DOESN’T have to be complicated. Resources: Join our Weekly Email Insider! Ep 132Power of Choice Series: Choosing My Own Spiritual Path
This week on the Power of Choice series, I’m opening up about a part of my story I’ve never fully shared before: what it’s been like to step out of the “shoulds” I grew up with and start choosing my own spiritual path as an adult. For most of my life, my spiritual path was chosen for me. Church on Sundays, Children’s choir (which I did love!), the beliefs and rhythms my family lived by. It all shaped me, but it wasn’t always my choice. It hasn’t been linear, and it hasn’t been easy. For years, I buried my questions under work, busyness, and burnout. I ignored the pull to explore what I truly believed in because I was scared to slow down long enough to ask. But over the last couple of years, something shifted and I’m learning that spirituality doesn’t have to be defined, labeled, or look like anyone else’s to be real. In this episode, I share: The spiritual choices made for me in childhood and how they shaped me Why I put my spiritual/faith journey on pause for years What intuition, inner work, and new experiences are teaching me now I am still very much “in the process.” I don’t have all the answers. Yet, I’m finally choosing to seek them for myself. And maybe, just maybe, this will give you permission to do the same. Resources: Join our Weekly Email Insider! Ep 131Power of Choice Series: Boundaries That Align with You & As You Grow
In this episode of the Power of Choice series, I’m getting honest about how I’ve had to rework my relationship with boundaries. Not just in business, but in friendships, daily rhythms, and emotional energy. Some of the hardest boundaries I’ve had to set were the ones that no one else could see. In this conversation, I share: The difference between internal and external boundaries (and why that clicked for me). How I’ve noticed patterns of overgiving and where that still shows up. Why boundaries are a reflection of self-trust, not disconnection. The ways I’ve unconsciously tied boundaries to worth, value, or being “a good person” This one’s a reminder that boundaries aren’t about cutting people off. They’re about choosing the version of you that you’re growing into. Missed Part 1? Ep 130Power of Choice Series: Healing My Relationship with My Body & Food
In this first episode of the Power of Choice series, I’m sharing something deeply personal: my health and wellness journey. From competitive gymnastics and all-or-nothing patterns to burnout, body image struggles, and ultimately, coming back home to myself, it’s been a long, layered process. If you’ve ever felt like your relationship with food, movement, or your body has been tangled up in pressure, perfectionism, or performance… you’re NOT alone. I’ve been there. And this is the story of how I’ve been healing… one choice at a time. I’m not sharing this as a “before and after” moment. I’m sharing it to name what’s often unspoken, to reflect on the quiet shifts that have helped me rebuild trust with my body, and to remind you that your healing doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s. Inside this episode, I talk about: How stress, restriction, and alcohol became coping tools I didn’t fully see. Why I’ve partnered with a functional medicine consultant & Shaklee to support my body. Why longevity and living well now matter more than “getting it right” This episode holds pieces of my story I’ve never shared before. It’s vulnerable. But it’s also freeing. Because everything we do, especially how we care for ourselves, is a CHOICE. If this resonates, please leave a review & share with someone going through their own health & wellness journey! This episode kicks off a brand new series on The Power of Choice… a personal and raw reflection on the moments and decisions that have shaped my life over the last 20+ years. Fresh off a soul-nourishing trip to Europe, I share the story behind this series and the realization that sparked it: every pivotal change, burnout, breakthrough, or shift started with a single choice. This isn’t just about business strategy, it’s about agency, alignment, and reclaiming your power to choose differently. In this episode, I share: The surprising story behind a dream trip to Europe (and what manifesting really looked like) Why giving yourself space can lead to the most clarity and growth How every small and big choice has rippled through my personal and professional life What this series will explore…. from health and wellness to identity, spiritual pivots, and more. I’ve always been comfortable behind the scenes…. supporting, observing, and anchoring others. But lately, something’s shifted. In this episode, I open up about the deeper identity work I’ve been navigating and how it’s led me to a new season of leadership. One where I’m finally stepping forward. We’re talking about visibility, trust, and choosing to lead in a way that feels aligne, not performative. In this episode, I share: How I’m redefining what leadership looks like for me and feels like in this season The energetic and personal shifts that have made this transition possible Resources & Ways to Connect: Follow me on Instagram – @cat.roten Learn more about Shaklee HERE Prefer Video?- Checkout our Youtube channel.

This episode marks a major turning point, not just for the podcast, but for how I show up in my life and business. I’m sharing my deeper purpose in life, as well as behind the shift into Success Beyond Strategy. This includes what this next chapter means for me, my work, and this community. In this raw & honest reflection, I share: What to expect from the podcast moving forward. How your purpose should reflect YOU not your business (even if related). Ep 123Why I'm Learning to Play Again at 28
It’s my birthday & instead of diving into a reflection from last year (go a few episodes back to hear that!), I am sharing how this month I have prioritized myself and celebrated for the first time in forever. For so long, I’ve tied my worth to how productive, helpful, and “on” I could be, but this season is about something different. It’s about learning to play, celebrate, & find joy in life again. In this episode, I talk about: Growing up as the “adult child”. How rest and celebration can feel uncomfortable. How to learn to receive love, support, and space without earning it. Ep 122Taxes Are a Privilege
If you’re a business owner who dreads taxes, you’re not alone. But what if you could look at taxes differently? In this episode, I’m sharing a major mindset shift I’ve had around money, taxes, and business growth thanks to the incredible Alex Coyne, who spoke at the Power Table Live Conference this past April 2025. Alex flipped the script on all of us. Instead of seeing taxes as something to resent or avoid, she challenged us to see them as a privilege. In this solo episode, I’m sharing something that’s been slowly transforming the way I move through life and business: No longer using the word BUSY in my vocabulary. I talk about what it really means to let go of the “busy” badge, and how choosing a slower, more intentional pace has impacted everything…. from how I show up in my work to how I feel in my body. If you’ve ever equated “busy” with “productive,” this one’s for you. In the episode, I share: How I now define a full life vs. a busy one What’s really happening BTS when we say “I’m just so busy” What shifted when I stopped chasing urgency & embraced the space. How to determine if you are moving the need or creating busy work. It’s time to take a step back, PAUSE, and answer the question…. Are you actually moving the needle in your life & business? When building a business—or hosting an event—strategy matters. But sometimes, the most powerful shifts happen beyond the strategy itself. In this conversation, we welcome Christina Luna back to the show and dive deep into the unseen layers that shape how we grow, create, and lead—especially when the external strategy isn’t enough. We talk about the energetic and seasonal shifts happening right now and how to tune into your own timing, nervous system, and truth—even when things feel uncertain or slow. In this episode, we explore: How unconscious safety patterns shape our identity, decisions, and even our revenue ceilings. Why external strategy falls short when your nervous system isn’t aligned with your next level What happens when you reach a tipping point where the identity you've outgrown begins to fall away What it means to find yourself in a transitional season and trust that something deeper is recalibrating Connect with Christina Luna: Follow Christina on IG: @lunation.live Resources & Ways to Connect: Get Your Preferred Events Calendar – Your go-to resource for must-attend personal & professional events this year!
