The Ravens and QB Lamar Jackosn are involved in a game of high stakes poker. Yesterday the Ravens gave Jackson the nonexclusive tag which means the former league MVP can engage in contract talks with other teams. On today's episode I talk about the past few weeks being a bad one for the NBA. Load management continues to be an issue despite NBA Commissioner Adam Silver's denial. Now Memphis star Ja Morant is away from the team as he deals with repeated, alarming incidents. Morant was suspended for two games, but that number could be much, much higher. In the past 24 hours, it has been reported that Morant took his firearm on the team's charter aircraft. If true Morant is looking at a 50 game suspension! It will be interesting to see how the Grizzlies and the NBA deal with all of this! I also talk about the alarming race card used by those in the media and former players like Paul Pierce. On today's episode I examine Alabama basketball and the controversy surrounding star Brandon Miller. According to police, Miller brought a gun, at the request of a friend to a scene of what would be a crime. That crime was the murder of a 23 year old woman, Jamea Jonae Harris. Miller has not been charged with a crime, however the Alabama basketball program has been criticized by many for their handling of the situation. No surprise here that Saints running back Alvin Kamara, Bengals CB Chris Lammons and two others were indicted by a grand jury for allegedly assaulting a man at a Las Vegas nightclub last February. All four were indicted on charges of conspiracy to commit battery and battery resulting in substantial bodily harm. As I said, not surprising. How embarrassing was the field for the Super Bowl yesterday? That's the best the NFL could do for the biggest game of the year? The half-time show with Rihanna was embarrassing too. Yeah, let's have a lady on stage grabbing her crotch and her butt! just awful! The holding call at the end of the game on James Bradberry was suspect too. Bradbury said after the game he grabbed Juju Smith-Schuster's jersey. If player's had tear-away jerseys on, Juju's would be intact. I thought that was an awful call! The Kings continued their inconsistent play last night losing to the Mavs 122-114. Sacramento gave up 45 points in the first quarter as the Mavs led wire to wire.
