The Kings were embarrassed last night by an injury depleted Pelicans team. That's five losses in the past eight games for the Kings and to say the least they are playing poorly. All I hear from the fans, media, and coach Mike Brown is playoff this and playoff that. Stop it with that talk. The Kings are only three games from the 10th spot in the west. I then get into the background of Bengals running back Joe Mixon. I read excerpts from Phil Mushnick's column in the NY Post from two weeks ago. Yesterday an arrest warrant was issued for Mixon for allegedly pointing a gun at a woman. Mixon is denying the incident. What about Ray Rice? Sean Payton is the new head coach of the Broncos. My question is why Denver for Payton? I know he is getting a boatload of money, but Russell Wilson looks like a QB on the decline, and they have lost a lot of draft picks as well. It was not a good weekend for refs in the NBA and NFL. The NBA refs missed a clear foul at the end of the Lakers and Celtics game and the NFL Championship games were poorly officiated. NBA refs are getting killed for putting out a tweet after the missed call that would of sent Lebron James to the line with no time remaining. It will be the Eagles vs the Chiefs in the Super Bowl in two weeks. Apparently, many people are feeling sorry for Joesph Ossai of the Bengals for his late hit on Patrick Mahomes that set up the game winning kick. I'm not one of them. Ossai's hit was stupid, plain and simple and he cost his team a shot of going to the Super Bowl. Speaking of stupid, if you are one of those criticizing 49ers coach Kyle Shannahan today, stop it. Ivan Provorov of the Philadelphia Flyers continues to face criticism for not joining his teammates on the ice for warmups a few nights ago while wearing special warm-up jerseys to celebrate Pride night. Provorov cited personal religious beliefs for not participating. Last month the world's biggest sporting event was held in Qatar. Qatar is a nation that forbids same-sex relations. Major companies have no problem putting rainbow colors on social media accounts etc here in the US, but remove the colors in other countries around the world. It all adds up to this! Hypocrisy and double standards. If you have a problem with Provorov, don't watch the Flyers games anymore.
