F IS FOR FAMILY, but F is also for Film School Janitors! After watching comedian Bill Burr's live-action directorial debut with OLD DOGS, the Janitors decided to check out a few episodes of his animated show from a few years back. Here's their thoughts!

This week's assignment: CHRISTMAS CAROL: THE MOVIE It's another Nic Cage cartoon role! This time he portrays the ghost of Scrooge's old partner, Jacob Marley, and to be honest, it's quite terrifying! So curl up this Christmas weekend and listen to the Janitors review this not-classic retelling of the classic story. P.S. Always remember Scrooge was visited by "four" ghosts - not "three" - when you play bar trivia!

So what's it like to be one of the OLD DADS featured in the Netflix movie? Well, some of the Film School Janitors have some experience with that. This was a short that slipped under the Film School Janitors' radar, but it won an Oscar (a couple years ago) and had acclaim (a couple years ago) and some controversy (a couple years ago). The short film is called TWO DISTANT STRANGERS (now) and it's available on Netflix (now) and this is the Janitors' review (now).

The TV universe for THE BOYS is growing on Amazon Prime, and the first spin-off (not counting the cartoon spin-off DIABOLICAL because it was animated) has arrived! GEN V follows a group of super powered college students at God U as they navigate not only their personal problems, but um, much bigger problems like extinction! The Film School Janitors watched all the episodes (well, almost all the episodes for some), and this is their review. Enjoy!

Have you even heard of THE DEAD DON'T DIE, a zombie film starring Bill Murray and Adam Driver? At least one of the Film School Janitors hadn't. What's it about? A zombie breakout from the view a small town. Are they fast zombies? Nothing is fast about this movie...

Initially, two of the Film School Janitors watched all of AHSOKA and started reviewing it. Then they took a break so the third (and final) Janitor could watch it. Guess who did what, or just listen to find out what they thought about STAR WARS REBELS SEASON 5, er, SEASON 1 (?) of AHSOKA!

The Film School Janitors finally got their "trucks" in a row (see what I did there?! I quack me up!) and watched the television adaptation of TWISTED METAL. How did it compare to the video game where everybody just drives around shooting each other? Listen to find out!

Just in time for spooky season, the Film School Janitors found a copy of FREDDY VS. JASON to rewatch! Did the epic battle live up to the memories of the Janitors, or did the 20 years in-between murder too many brain cells? Listen to find out!

This week's assignment: WORLD TRADE CENTER Filmed only five years after the attack by Oliver Stone, this film follows Nic Cage as he lays still trapped beneath the rubble. Powerful doesn't even begin to explain this film. Listen to what the Film School Janitors thought about the film as they also recollect that harrowing day.

Last up: PIRATES OF THE PLAIN This is the end of the NCU SUMMER BREAK, and the Film School Janitors decided to watch what could have been the tenth ERNEST film, or at least a pivot for star JIM VARNEY. Ernest creator and collaborator and film series writer/director (at least most of them), JOHN CHERRY helms this film about a pirate that gets transported to a Nebraska wheat field two-hundred years in his future where E.T.'s mom hates her son's imagination. Wish I was joking! I guess summer truly is over!

Are we truly entering the next era of beautiful animation? Not counting all the gross booger-y mutant-y things... The Film School Janitors watched TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: MUTANT MAYHEM and this is their review!

The Film School Janitors now have the ultimate metric to rate movies: PEE-WEE's BIG ADVENTURE being the best, and BIG TOP PEE-WEE being the worst. So where does PEE-WEE's BIG HOLIDAY fit on that scale? Listen to this review to find out!

It's difficult to find joy in the subject matter of the film, but in the hype around it - what fun! The Film School Janitors have completed "Barbenheimer" by finally watching OPPENHEIMER. Does the film justify its three-hour runtime? Listen to their review to find out!

The Film School Janitors dared to review BARB...ARIANS. THE BARBARIANS as a matter of fact. That's the big movie of 2023, right? Drats! Well, instead enjoy this review of the 80's sword-and-sandal sort-of-classic rip-off of CONAN THE BARBARIAN.

The Film School Janitors are reviewing all five INDIANA JONES movies with fresh eyes and beer guts! Of course, they're starting with the undeniable classic (INDIANA JONES AND THE) RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK. Somebody (probably Lucas) added that part in the parentheses - the Janitors did not. This is a film that must be seen to be believed. MIAMI CONNECTION was originally released in Florida in 1988, and it didn't make any connection with the general public (sorry, not sorry). In 2012, the film was rediscovered and became an instant cult classic. To say too much here will spoil the fun - so listen to the Film School Janitors spoil everything!
