They found a fun bar called the ROAD HOUSE, and they were asked to use their janitorial skills to clean up the riffraff in the place. They said to call Jake Gyllenhaal instead. It's been awhile since the Film School Janitors were MIXING BLEACH AND AMMONIA, but they've gone and done it again! This time, they make toxic fumes by mixing two ROBERT DOWNEY JR (not?) classics: TUFF TURF and HUGO POOL. The Film School Janitors were afforded a rare opportunity... they interviewed a filmmaker! After watching HANKY PANKY, the Janitors had a chat with writer, co-director and star, NICK ROTH. They had a lot to say about the film where the hero is a talking, sentient napkin. You read that right! HANKY PANKY follows a group of friends (who might not all be friends) gathering in a cabin in the mountains. They start getting picked off one by one by some alien force, unless the aforementioned sentient napkin can save the day! This week's assignment: THE COTTON CLUB Francis Ford Coppola directed this film about a nightclub during segregation and prohibition in the 1930's. It stars Richard Gere and Diane Lane amongst others, but the biggest reason the Janitors tackled this film is because it also features Coppola's nephew (you know who!) in one of his earliest roles, and of course, he delivers!

So chances are good if you didn't listen to the MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE: REVELATION reviews, then the Film School Janitors aren't going to make much sense talking about MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE: REVOLUTION. It's He-Man, folks. A new cartoon about a toy hero. This is the "third" season review...

The 80's were an interesting time, and not too many films can exhibit that quite like SOCIETY! Here's the basic gist of the story - a high schooler isn't quite as high-society as his sister and he has anxiety about that! But are his concerns about them grounded in reality or is it all in his head? Believe me - I made this sound like a normal movie! The Film School Janitors watched this insane film, and they recommend you do as well. If you've seen it or not, check out heir review!

This is a short review for a short film about a short would-be killer! It is highly recommended you watch FINLEY on YouTube before listening to this review. The Film School Janitors implore you! And they don't even know what "implore" means!

The Film School Janitors have developed a scale that works to instantly rank films - is it a PEE WEE'S BIG ADVENTURE or a BIG TOP PEE WEE? There might be a good chance you've never heard of SISU. It's a concept in Finland that is described as "stoic determination, tenacity of purpose, grit, bravery, resilience, and hardiness," according to Wikipedia. SISU is now also a movie. And according to this film, it means don't be a Nazi and try to steal gold from a Laplander carrying a pick axe. This is the Film School Janitors review! Enjoy!

Not all of the Film School Janitors watched THE CURSE. This is one Janitors' take on the odd TV series... and the others guess the show's ending. NOTE: Spoilers if you haven't watched it!

Apparently, the world of professional wrestling began a little earlier than most of us thought. No, I'm not talking about ancient Greek Olympic wrestling, but the unitard, big-hair, finishing-move kind. THE IRON CLAW is named after one such finishing move developed by the patriarch of the Von Erich family. Zac Efron stars as one of the wrestling star sons. By the way, the Film School Janitors developed their own finishing move - this review!

Though it was snubbed in the Best Foreign Film category for this year's Academy Awards (hi, Margot Robbie and Greta Gerwig!),the Film School Janitors didn't snub GODZILLA MINUS ONE! The film is an updated re-telling of the original 1954 classic, GOJIRA. What did the Janitors think? Listen to find out!

This is likely to be one of the few films that are nominated for an Academy Award this year that the Film School Janitors will actually watch. It probably helps that THE BOY AND THE HERON is a Miyazaki film, but nonetheless... here's their review.

The Film School Janitors watched PLEASE DON'T DESTROY: THE TREASURE OF FOGGY MOUNTAIN because they thought it might be like THE GOONIES. It is not. This is their review.

The Film School Janitors checked out the latest film by David Fincher, director of FIGHT CLUB. It apparently played in some theaters, but you can find THE KILLER on Netflix! We follow an assassin as he seeks revenge after an attempt goes wrong. Have we seen this film a thousand times before? Yes, and most of them star Nic Cage! This one stars Magneto (#2)! There's bleak, and then there's bleeeeak. The Film School Janitors watched LEAVE THE WORLD BEHIND, and it's about a vacationing family that finds the owners returning to their rental property while the world becomes more chaotic. Like I said - bleak. But this review is not bleak, so enjoy!

The Film School Janitors are based out of Detroit, so of course their relationship with the Lions is tenuous at best. 2023 is shaping up to be quite a year, and we haven't had a year quite like it since 1991, when Barry Sanders used to play here. BYE BYE BARRY is a documentary about his career and why he left. This is a podcast reviewing it. Enjoy!

So curl up this Christmas weekend and listen to the Janitors review this not-classic retelling of the classic story. P.S. Always remember Scrooge was visited by "four" ghosts - not "three" - when you play bar trivia!

So what's it like to be one of the OLD DADS featured in the Netflix movie? Well, some of the Film School Janitors have some experience with that. This was a short that slipped under the Film School Janitors' radar, but it won an Oscar (a couple years ago) and had acclaim (a couple years ago) and some controversy (a couple years ago).
