Last year, the Pakistani social media celebrity Qandeel Baloch was murdered by her own brother for posting allegedly controversial photos of herself online. After Qandeel's high-profile murder in July 2016, the Pakistani government passed new anti honour-killing laws. But such cases of homicide in Pakistan, made in the name of preserving honour, are still rife - at least 280 cases were recorded by the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan from October 2016 to June this year. A company in the UK recently launched a productivity tool called WorkSmart, which allows employers to take pictures of employees at work through their webcams every 10 minutes or so. It's also able to monitor other sorts of data, like the type of apps in use, and even the number of keystrokes, which apparently, can indicate how productive you are at work.
