Malaysian youths don't seem too interested to join the agriculture industry. According to deputy Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry Minister Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman, only 15% of FOA, the Farmers Organisation Authority, are aged below 40 years old. The FOA aims to raise youth participation to 30% by 2020. We speak with David Mak, founder of Kebun Kaki Bukit, as well as Yahqappu Adaikkalam, founder of The Lord's Garden, about why agriculture is exciting, and what it takes to build a career in the field.
