Ryan Perri and a bunch of friends had an idea one night at a bar in South Philly. One of their friends was going through a rough patch. They wanted to cheer him up. They knew that if they just sent him cash via Venmo he'd probably just pocket the money and not get off the couch. So, over some brews they came up with an app called BruYou, where you can buy yourself or your friends' beers at local bars. Because the app pays the bar right away, the recipient has no choice but to go to that establishment to get the brew. After that night at the bar, Ryan and his friends knew they had something. Fast forward to late 2020 and the Covid-19 pandemic. The app morphed into a way to support your local watering hole. Now in 2022, BruYou is going strong, and this side hustle might become a main hustle soon. Reid Moncada has been through a lot in his 23 years on this planet. In high school, he faced immense adversity when his father lost his job. Reid and his family of 4 (and a 70lb dog) became homeless for 3 years. During this time Reid worked 3 jobs, including one at the local country club as a caddie. It was this job that took him on his entrepreneurial journey. Penn State, gave Reid a full ride scholarship to attend the university. It was there that Reid and some of his friends found an need a decided to fill it. The need was doing laundry for busy college students. Now out of Penn State, his company Fitted Laundry, has exploded from it's simple beginnings to 18 markets across the United States. In addition to laundry services, Fitted Laundry is getting into the consignment game, helping people sell the clothing they are done with. This service, for right now, is available in the Philadelphia and Los Angeles markets. Reid is only at the start of his journey, but things are heading in the right direction. He's going places. Dusty Davidson didn't always want to be an entrepreneur. But when he decided that the corporate world wasn't right for him, he decided to try his hand at running his own business. Moving to California to Silicon Valley, wasn't an option. Dusty had met his wife and had already put down roots in Omaha, Nebraska. So he made his hometown his hub, and started his journey. Travis is a bit of a renaissance man. He's not just a podcaster. He's not just a rocker. He's not just a crazy Instagram nut-job. He's all of that mixed into one amazing, friendly, helpful, lovable package. Travis has always been creative. He says it has to do with escaping from the reality of his parent's divorces and normal childhood issues. Instead of turning to drugs and alcohol as a kid he turned to creativity and started building stuff. In high school and right after, Travis, along with three friends started a semi-successful rock band and toured the country. After hitting a wall in success, Travis decided to take these talents and put them to good use. After taking a cubicle-hell job with an hour-long commute, he started listening to podcasts and knew he could help these creators sound better to match the quality of the content. Soon after his podcast/audio engineering agency was born. After the agency started, everything started to come together.
