VITAMIN D IS DANGEROUS
What happens if you take too much vitamin D? In this video, we’ll discuss the vitamin D dangers you should know about. Learn how to avoid vitamin D side effects, which are very different from vitamin D toxicity. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Vitamin D dangers 0:10 Understanding vitamin D toxicity 1:10 Vitamin D and magnesium 1:53 Zinc and vitamin D 2:20 Vitamin K2 and vitamin D 2:33 Vitamin D and vitamin A 3:11 Vitamin D supplements 4:12 Food sources of magnesium 4:48 Zinc and vitamin K2 DATA: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/3627603/ https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles... Vitamin D needs magnesium to function properly in the body. The more vitamin D you take, the more magnesium you need. Magnesium prevents vascular calcification, the main problem associated with vitamin D toxicity. The vitamin D receptor is dependent on zinc. Like magnesium, your zinc requirements increase when you take vitamin D. Zinc deficiency symptoms include an altered sense of taste and smell, acne, flaky skin, and lowered testosterone. When you increase your vitamin D intake, you’ll need more vitamin K2. Vitamin K2 helps prevent the buildup of calcium and also helps to drive calcium into the bones and teeth. The active form of vitamin A, called retinol, is also an important cofactor for vitamin D. Vitamin A receptors sometimes bind with vitamin D receptors as a complex. Vitamin A also helps keep calcium out of your arteries. Always take vitamin D3, not D2. Vitamin D2 is less potent and is typically synthetic. Avoid synthetic vitamin D3 supplements and supplements with fillers such as maltodextrin or glucose syrup. Leafy greens, chocolate, certain nuts, and pumpkin seeds are the best food sources of magnesium. When choosing a supplement, look for magnesium glycinate. The best food sources of zinc are red meat and shellfish. If you take a zinc supplement, consume it in a blend with other trace minerals. For every 10,000 IU of vitamin D3 that you take, you’ll need 100 mcg of vitamin K2. MK7 is the best form. Vitamin K2 is found in high-quality grass-fed butter, kimchi, sauerkraut, grass-fed beef, and eggs. When using high doses of vitamin D, always check with your doctor. High doses of vitamin D can increase blood/urine calcium levels resulting in calcium deposits in the kidney. Also drink 2.5 liters of fluids per day, take cofactors with vitamin D (magnesium, K2 and zinc) and have your doctor monitor your PTH, vitamin D blood levels and creatinine and avoid excess calcium supplements of high calcium foods when taking vitamin D levels over 10,000 IUs. It’s best to get your vitamin A from food. Egg yolks, liver, and cod liver oil are the best sources. Today we're going to talk about the absolute worst food for the heart: trans fats. While sugar is bad for the heart, trans fats are even worse. In 2015, the FDA no longer classified trans fats as safe. Consuming trans fats increases the risk of several serious health issues, including: • Heart attack • Stroke • Type 2 diabetes • Cancer • Increased LDL • Decreased HDL • Inflammation • Autoimmune diseases • Infertility • Tendon and bone degeneration Partially hydrogenated oils contain trans fats, but products that contain either partially hydrogenated or hydrogenated fats should be avoided to help protect against heart disease and other health problems. It turns out that animal feed still contains trans fats. This means that you could consume trans fats indirectly by consuming animals fed trans fats. Restaurants also commonly serve foods containing trans fats. There's even a loophole that allows half of a gram of trans fats in one serving size to claim that a product has zero trans fats. Overall, it's crucial to read food labels and be aware of what you're eating, especially at restaurants. The Actual Reason Men Die Before Women
Why do men die earlier than women? In this video, I’ll uncover the truth about the gender life expectancy gap. Don’t worry, I’ll also share 8 ways to increase life expectancy for men and women, along with the longevity risk factors to avoid. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Life expectancy: Men vs. women 0:12 Male mortality rate speculation 0:34 Longevity genes 1:55 How to live longer for men and women 3:59 Diet and exercise for increased life expectancy 5:28 Factors that increase mortality rates Did you know that men die an average of 6 years earlier than women? Some people blame the gender life expectancy gap on men being involved with more hazardous work, having fewer doctor visits, smoking more, or consuming more alcohol. Men often experience more heart attacks and strokes than their female counterparts. Autoimmune diseases are more common in women, but they don’t typically die from these conditions. A specific longevity gene called FOXO3 plays a major role in your life expectancy. Women express this gene more than men because the gene is activated by estrogen. Fortunately, estrogen is not the only thing that activates your longevity genes! FOXO3 helps prevent cancer and helps with gene repair. It’s a stress-resistant gene that allows you to adapt to your environment. Nature prioritizes reproduction and fertility, so women often express longevity genes more than men. There are many ways to increase the FOXO3 gene to increase life expectancy for both men and women! 1. Consume phytonutrients (astaxanthin, sulforaphane, EGCG, resveratrol) 2. Cold and heat (cold baths or saunas) 3. Intermittent fasting 4. Ketones 5. Exercise 6. Prolonged fasting for 48 hours or more 7. Controlled oxidative stress (hypoxia training) 8. Sunlight The following factors can decrease FOXO3 and shorten your life expectancy: 1. Too much insulin 2. Chronic inflammation 3. Chronic stress 4. Overfeeding 5. Sedentary lifestyle 6. Heavy metals (i.e., aluminum, mercury) 7. EMF 8. Endocrine disruptors --- Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Today we’re going to talk about how to protect your kidneys. The kidneys can take a beating and can even regenerate. They are composed of roughly one million tiny filters, which filter your blood. But as you age, you start losing these filters—so it becomes even more important to start eating better and decrease exposure to toxins. The two worst things for your kidneys are sugar and oxalates. It’s crucial to stop consuming sugar and high-carb foods and to start limiting your exposure to high-oxalate foods. However, consuming cheese or dairy with foods that are high in oxalates, but are otherwise healthy, can help counter kidney damage from oxalates. Foods high in oxalates: • Almonds • Spinach • Beet tops • Peanuts • Grains • Beans • Sweet potatoes • Cassava • Tapioca • Kiwi • Chocolate • Swiss chard • Turmeric • Cinnamon • Clove The best ways to protect your kidneys: 1. Consume lemon water every morning 2. Consume apple cider vinegar mixed in water 3. Consume 2.5 liters of water a day 4. Avoid high-oxalate foods or add dairy to high-oxalate foods 5. Get on the Healthy Keto® diet and do intermittent fasting 6. Avoid fructose 7. Avoid consuming high levels of vitamin C 8. Consume potassium (not for end-stage kidney disease) 9. DATA: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/1619503/ https://ucfhealth.com/our-services/endocrinology/the-relationship-between-potassium-and-diabetes/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3197792/ 0:00 Introduction: Potassium and diabetes 0:15 Blood pressure medications and diabetes 2:47 Potassium benefits 3:45 Potassium RDAs 4:02 Foods high in potassium 5:45 Type 1 diabetes and potassium 6:33 Learn more about potassium! Today we're going to talk about how potassium affects diabetes and high blood pressure. Diuretics are commonly used to treat high blood pressure. But, they come with side effects, including an increased risk of developing diabetes. On the flip side, ace inhibitors, also used to treat high blood pressure, protect against diabetes and lower the risk of diabetes. I believe the big difference between these two drugs, when it comes to diabetes risk, is what they do to potassium. Diuretics deplete potassium, and without enough potassium, insulin can't be released very well. A deficiency of insulin can then lead to diabetes. Ace inhibitors increase potassium by helping to prevent the loss of potassium. So why do we even need a drug—why aren't we just consuming more potassium? Many people support healthy blood pressure and healthy blood sugar levels by taking potassium. Benefits of potassium: • It protects the kidneys • It protects the heart • It helps protect against stroke • It helps protect against diabetes • It helps power the nervous system in connection with the muscles • It helps regulate sodium The RDAs for potassium are 4700 mg. It might surprise you, but bananas aren't a good source of potassium. A few of the best sources of potassium are: • Leafy greens • Potatoes • Avocado • Electrolyte powder Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 58, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Today I want to cover some interesting points about selenium that you may have never heard before. Selenium is a trace mineral, and it’s involved in thyroid function and helps detox mercury. Selenium is also a powerful antioxidant. It’s important to support cardiovascular and brain health and may help prevent strokes and cancer. Brazil nuts are loaded with selenium. One Brazil nut will give you the selenium you need for the day. Taking too much selenium could lead to selenium toxicity. Selenium is in many other foods, too, so why are so many people deficient in selenium? It has to do with the fact that it’s in a form that plant roots have a difficult time extracting—they need help from microbes. However, there aren’t enough microbes or diversity of microbes in the soil. A good solution is to start buying foods from farmers who care about their soil and grow things with microbial diversity. It’s also essential to consume fermented foods. Another overlooked cause of selenium deficiency is a certain genetic mutation related to the proteins or enzymes with selenium. Taking statins may also lead to selenium deficiency. Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Today I want to cover some important information on reducing the side effects of medications. Phase 1 and phase 2 enzymes are groups of enzymes that help break down medications and toxins in the liver. These enzymes turn medications and toxins into harmless water-soluble particles that can be eliminated through the body. If this enzyme system isn’t working, you could experience more side effects from medications. Your medications may also not be as effective as they should be. Certain things can decrease the function of phase 1 and phase 2 detoxification, including: • DNA mutations • Liver problems • Consuming grapefruit • Certain medications How to support phase 1 and phase 2 detoxification: 1. Consume cruciferous vegetables, allium vegetables, sulforaphane, or DIM 2. Do fasting 3. Reduce exposure to toxins 4. Strengthen the liver (do Healthy Keto® and take milk thistle) 5. Today we’re going to talk about the best remedies for candida. A good portion of the microbes in your gut are fungi, and candida is one type of fungi. Friendly fungi support the body in many different ways. It’s not until we change the environment that our friendly bacteria and fungi live in that they can become a problem. For example, one of the biggest side effects of antibiotics is candida overgrowth. If the ratio of candida to bacteria is incorrect, this can lead to health issues. But bacteria release certain things to help keep candida in check. If candida does turn unfriendly, you need to know what you can do. One important thing to remember to support a healthy microbiome is to take probiotics if you have to take antibiotics. The best candida home remedies: 1. Take a probiotic and consume probiotic foods 2. Avoid sugar and dairy 3. Avoid carbs (do Healthy Keto®) 4. Avoid sugar alcohols 5. Consume capric acid (coconut oil or MCT oil) 6. Consume vegetable fiber 7. The more you know about EBV, the less you’ll be adversely affected by it. The Epstein-Barr virus can use different strategies to go under the radar and survive in a person’s body. The virus can go dormant and become very difficult for the body to detect. You can never get rid of EBV—you have to focus on keeping it in remission. To keep it in remission, you need to understand the strategies of the virus and how to support the immune system to keep it under control. Important things to know about the Epstein-Barr virus: 1. You can’t get rid of it 2. It’s associated with an increased risk of certain cancers, autoimmune diseases, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome, and fibromyalgia 3. It blocks key immune nutrients that your cells depend on, like vitamin D, vitamin A, and zinc 4. It modulates fever response 5. Emotional stress may trigger EBV to come out of remission Three things to help inhibit EBV from coming out of remission: 1. Decrease your stress and exposure to triggers 2. Take cod liver oil 3. Choose one or two of these herbs: • Elderberry • Echinacea • Olive leaf extract • Andrographis • Astragalus Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Today I’m going to reveal how problems with the gallbladder could be related to the thyroid. Bile contains bile salts, lecithin, bilirubin, protein, and cholesterol. If a person has too much cholesterol and not enough bile salts, they could develop gallstones. However, cholesterol is necessary to help you make bile, hormones, and vitamin D. The body makes the majority of cholesterol in the body. The liver makes bile. Bile helps eliminate excess cholesterol and certain toxins. It also helps break down fats and supports the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins and fatty acids. A person with hypothyroidism or a subclinical hyperthyroid issue has an increased risk of gallstones. Many different connections cause this increased risk, but overall, it takes a healthy thyroid to make enough bile and bile to create a healthy thyroid. Ultimately, I believe a lack of fat and cholesterol in the diet can increase your risk of gallstones and hypothyroidism from multiple angles. The Healthy Keto® diet can help supply the fats and important vitamins and minerals your body needs. Learn more about Healthy Keto in my other videos. Today we're going to talk about vitamin K2, and I'm going to share the best source of vitamin K2. While vitamin K1 supports blood clotting, vitamin K2 supports calcium transportation. Vitamin K2 works with vitamin D. Vitamin K2 and vitamin D3 are important to take together. Vitamin D raises calcium in the blood, but vitamin K2 pushes calcium from the blood into the bone. Vitamin K2 also uses LDL cholesterol as part of its transportation process. The health benefits of vitamin K2: • It supports healthy bones • It supports strong teeth • It helps prevent calcium from building up in the arteries, cartilage, and joints • It helps support healthy blood sugar levels • It helps generate ATP (energy) • It supports healthy testosterone levels • It supports the brain Vitamin K1 and vitamin K2 are fat-soluble—low-fat diets may lead to a vitamin K2 deficiency. Cheese, especially hard cheese, is a rich source of vitamin K2, with Muenster cheese at the top of the list. Other foods high in vitamin K2: • Grass-fed butter • Goose liver • Duck liver • Duck fat • Eel • Beef liver • Lamb's liver • Ground beef • Grass-fed hot dogs • High-quality bacon • Pork • Sauerkraut • Cod liver oil Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 58, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Are you drinking too much? Are you drinking too little? Today, we’re going to talk about fluids on keto and the biggest mistake people make when drinking water. The average American consumes 4.3 cups of water. This is extremely low. Many people also drink other types of liquids, but many of these can damage your health. Drinks with caffeine, sugar, and alcohol will actually worsen dehydration. The biggest mistake people make when it comes to fluids is thinking they are hydrated just because they are drinking a lot of liquids. There has been a big push to get people to drink more without fixing the root cause of their dehydration—and this is another big mistake. We have to consider the big picture, which includes electrolytes. Electrolytes like sodium, potassium, and magnesium are essential for hydration. But you have to have them in the correct amounts to be effective. The average person who exercises will need two to three liters of water per day. But, to stay hydrated, you need to add sea salt and other electrolytes to your water. You could also add lemon or apple cider vinegar to your water for additional benefits. Let's talk about sulforaphane. There are a lot of interesting health benefits of sulforaphane. Sulforaphane is a phytonutrient that has been studied extensively. You can get sulforaphane from many different plants, but the best source of sulforaphane is broccoli sprouts or broccoli microgreens. Broccoli sprouts or broccoli microgreens have 10 to 100 times more sulforaphane than broccoli. The majority of nutrients in plants, especially phytonutrients, are in the early stages of growth. Sprouts and microgreens also have much fewer anti-nutrients, which can irritate the gut. Sprouts and microgreens are incredibly nutritious and are great choices if you have a hard time consuming large amounts of vegetables. You can consume fewer of them to get a good amount of nutrients and phytonutrients. Potential benefits of microgreens and sprouts (sulforaphane): 1. May help prevent chronic disease 2. Has potent anti-inflammatory effects 3. May have anticancer effects 4. May help inhibit carcinogens 5. Has potent antimicrobial effects 6. Has powerful blood sugar effects 7. May be beneficial in preventing heart disease 8. Has been studied for autism 9. Has anti-aging effects 10. Today, we’re going to talk about the most common symptom of gallstones and natural remedies for gallstones. It turns out that the most common symptom of gallstones is having no symptoms at all. 80% of people with gallstones don’t experience any symptoms until the situation worsens. Other symptoms of gallstones or a gallbladder problem: • Pain or tightness under the right ribcage • Pain under the right rhomboid • Pain in the neck that runs up the side of the face • Nausea • Vomiting • Bloating • Belching • Jaundice • Dark urine • Pale stool Gallstones can form when a person has high cholesterol and a lack of bile. Bile helps thin and eliminate cholesterol. A deficiency of bile is the real problem. The gallbladder is an important organ that helps you store and concentrate bile and absorb fat-soluble nutrients. Bile sludge is a common problem that can also cause pain, even when there aren’t any stones. Bile sludge can occur at different times but can be a complication after having your gallbladder removed, causing some of the same symptoms that lead you to have surgery. Risk factors for getting gallstones: • Pregnancy • Birth control pills • Obesity • Type-2 diabetes • Liver disease • Constipation • Low folate • Taking PPIs • Consuming a high-carb diet • Consuming a low-fat diet Natural ways to help get rid of gallstones: 1. The Cause of Lower Abdominal Cramping Pain
Get access to my FREE resources 👉 https://drbrg.co/3JxOGY1 Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Just so you know, my full line of high-quality supplements is available on Amazon — search Dr. Berg Supplements. Check out the best foods for lower abdominal pain or cramping and learn more about what causes it. 0:00 Introduction: What to do for lower abdominal pain 0:13 Typical treatment for lower abdominal pain 1:10 Lower abdominal pain causes 5:15 The best foods for lower abdominal pain relief 7:45 The best vegetable for digestive problems 8:52 Learn more about how to support digestion! Today we're going to talk about the best and worst foods for lower abdominal pain. There are many different causes of lower abdominal cramping or pain. But, in my opinion, we can usually trace the problem back to the person's diet and malabsorption. If a person has a problem with malabsorption, they may also experience bloating, diarrhea, or loose stool. The more inflammation or gut problems you have, the more sensitive you're going to be to certain things like gluten, lactose, fruit, grains, legumes, beans, nuts, and seeds. A good thing to consume would be a stew with homemade bone broth. The collagen in the stew is great for inflammation in the gut. Adding vegetables to the stew is also fantastic because they will cook down to the point where they shouldn't bother your digestive system. High-quality saturated animal fats are important to help support the gut. This means the meat you add to your stew should have skin on it and should be fatty. Lactose-free whole-milk kefir or lactose-free goat milk kefir is also great to help support healthy digestion. To support the colon, you may want to consume probiotic foods. Ghee and fermented vegetables may also be beneficial. The best vegetable for digestive issues is cabbage. This may be because it contains sulforaphane or certain phytonutrients. Even people who have digestive problems like gastritis or irritable bowel syndrome may find it easier to consume cabbage. Did you know H. pylori is behind some cases of anemia? H. pylori is a type of bacteria that most of the population already has. When the timing and environment are just right, H. pylori can come out of remission and create all sorts of problems. H. pylori primarily causes issues like gastritis, ulcers, and stomach atrophy. It typically comes out of remission when the stomach loses acidity. Some people are also more susceptible to getting an H. pylori infection. H. pylori bacteria also have unique survival mechanisms that help them thrive. One of these mechanisms leads to iron and B12 deficiencies. If you’re taking vitamin B12 and iron for anemia and it’s not helping, it could be because the real problem is in the stomach. The typical treatment for H. pylori is months of antibiotics. But, if you develop antibiotic resistance to H. pylori, they won’t work anymore. Antibiotics can also have side effects. We need to look at alternatives to get rid of H. pylori naturally. The best natural alternatives: 1. Take natural antibiotics (sulforaphane and wormwood extract) 2. Support your stomach by taking zinc 3. Take betaine hydrochloride or apple cider vinegar (if gastritis, inflammation, and ulcers are non-existent) 4. Take a probiotic or consume probiotic foods (sauerkraut and pickles) Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. This is the only sugar that won’t raise your blood sugar levels. But is it healthy? Learn more! DATA: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC552336/ 0:00 Introduction: What is the best type of sugar? 0:10 Sugar explained 1:45 Is fructose bad? 4:02 Is fructose keto-friendly? 5:00 The problem with fructose 6:00 Learn more about alternative sugars! Today, we’re going to talk about the only type of sugar that won’t raise your blood sugar: fructose. Fructose doesn’t increase your blood sugar levels, at least initially. Fructose is often recommended to diabetics because it doesn’t increase blood sugar levels, but there is another side of this that’s important to look at. Fructose follows a different biochemical pathway than glucose. Glucose is absorbed by all of the cells, but fructose is only absorbed by the liver. What’s not absorbed can end up in the colon, where your microbes consume it, which can lead to digestive problems. Fructose absorbed in the liver can be converted to glucose and stored as glycogen. When glycogen is stored in the liver, the body will start making triglycerides and cholesterol. Fructose can potentially lead to a fatty liver very quickly, which can then lead to insulin resistance and diabetes. Even though fructose is low on the glycemic index and won’t directly raise your blood sugar, it can indirectly raise your blood sugar and lead to various health problems. The good news is that there are keto-friendly alternative sugars that you can consume. Learn more about these in my next video. #sugar #fructose #bloodsugar Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. This comprehensive guide can help: https://drbrg.co/3HJ1Hkj Science typically involves normal discord and disagreement, but when it comes to vaccines, opposing medical authority, such as WHO and CDC, is labeled medical misinformation. These organizations create health policy, but are often influenced by drug companies. We’re constantly told that vaccines are safe, effective, and vital for our health. When most drugs are studied for safety and effectiveness, they're tested against a placebo. Vaccine safety studies for children are not conducted in this manner! Vaccine safety studies often involve one active vaccine being tested against another, both containing adjuvants such as aluminum. No actual placebo-controlled studies have been conducted for childhood vaccines. It is considered harmful to give a placebo to children, rather than a vaccine. There have been many drugs and substances considered safe and effective that were ultimately deemed harmful. Vioxx, Paxil, trans fats, and asbestos are clear examples. Raw data from the initial release of a drug is often kept confidential. Around 87% of all Big Pharma-sponsored studies are unpublished. This means that drug companies can choose to publish only data supporting a drug's safety and effectiveness. Health policy and guidelines are then based on this deceptive information. Astroturfing involves creating fake front groups that pretend to represent public opinion. These groups include Citizens for Patient Safety, Partnership to Protect Patient Health, America's Action Network, and Doctors for America. For the last 200 days of a cow’s life, it’s fed a high-starch diet and given minimal exercise. According to the food pyramid, most of our diet should come from starch. The average American consumes 65% to 70% of their calories from starches. Starches are actually hidden sugars. In fact, ultra-processed starch is worse than sugar and will raise your blood sugar more than glucose. There are 2 types of corn: field corn (dent corn) and edible sweet corn. Dent corn is used to fatten cattle and to make products such as ethanol, corn flour, modified food starch, modified corn starch, and maltodextrin. It’s also used to make corn oil, one of the seed oils. Not only do the refined starches act like sugar in the body, but they’re also GMO. This means they contain traces of glyphosate. The average American has been eating like a cow for quite some time. This is why we see obesity, fatty liver, heart disease, and more. Cows are meant to digest grass, not grains. Grass is fermented with bacteria in a cow's stomach, and the fiber feeds its microbes. When a cow is fed grains, the microbes produce an excess amount of acid, causing acidosis. This can lead to infection and isn’t very healthy for the cow, so they’re fed antibiotics to compensate. Stop eating like a cow! Avoid ultra-processed starch and choose grass-fed, grass-finished beef. --- Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

The #1 BEST Collagen-RICH Food (That NO ONE Is Talking About)
Collagen-rich foods can improve the health of your skin, joints, and cartilage. In this video, I’ll cover which collagen-boosting foods you should add to your diet for the most benefits, and show you the best collagen-rich food no one talks about! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Foods high in collagen 0:53 What is collagen? 1:58 Types of collagen 2:53 The best collagen-rich food 4:15 The best collagen foods Ditch the junk! This list makes healthy eating simple: https://drbrg.co/42Y3qKs Start your keto journey strong with this cheat sheet: https://drbrg.co/3ZnkoQ3 Confused with health jargon? This free resource makes it simple: https://drbrg.co/4mhEDbV Bone broth, pork rinds, and egg whites are some of the most common collagen sources. These collagen-boosting foods are great for your health, but the best collagen-rich food is much less talked about. You can not get collagen from plants! It must come from an animal source. Vegan collagen sources are typically only collagen-supporting products, such as vitamin C, which is necessary for collagen function. Although collagen comes from animal sources, you don’t get much from meat. Collagen makes up 30% of the protein in your body. It supports your arteries, joints, and eyes, and prevents sagging skin and wrinkles. After the age of 25, collagen begins to decrease. Without enough collagen, your arteries become stiff, which can lead to high blood pressure and hardening of the arteries. Consuming sugar, starches, and seed oils can deplete collagen faster than aging! There are multiple types of collagen, so it’s important to consume a variety of collagen-rich foods for the most benefits. Type 1 and type 3 collagen are found in fish skin, chicken skin, and bone broth. They support the skin, bones, and hair. Type 2 collagen supports the joints and typically comes from cartilage. Types 5 and 10 collagen come from organ meats and the membranes in eggs. These types of collagen support eye health and provide support at the cellular level. The best collagen-rich food, rarely discussed, contains GAGs that make up your joints, skin, fascia, and cell membranes. Surprisingly, the best collagen-rich food is rooster comb! You can find rooster comb in a Chinese or Filipino grocery store. You can also purchase them from a local farmer. Rooster comb provides the highest quality collagen to support skin health, joint repair, and gut health. It can also help improve symptoms of osteoarthritis. Consume the following foods regularly to support a collagen-rich diet: 1. Rooster comb 2. Chicken feet 3. Fish skin 4. Beef tendons 5. Bone broth Disclaimer: Dr. Eric Berg received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1988. 7 Silent Signs of Pancreatic Cancer
Do not ignore these early warning signs of pancreatic cancer! Many people do not know they have pancreatic cancer until it’s too late. The earlier you can detect it, the better the prognosis. Find out how to identify the early symptoms of pancreatic cancer in this video. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Warning signs and symptoms of pancreatic cancer 0:37 Sudden unexpected weight loss 0:55 Abdominal pain 1:20 Jaundice 2:05 Chronic diarrhea 2:32 Diabetes 3:03 Feeling full quickly 3:16 Persistent fatigue 3:37 Pancreatic cancer explained 5:18 Risk factors for pancreatic cancer 5:56 Vitamin D and pancreatic cancer 6:22 Avoiding cancer DATA: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science... TUDCA video: ▶️ • The Benefits of TUDCA Pancreatic cancer is one of the deadliest types of cancer. It’s known as the “silent killer” because, by the time you know you have it, it’s often too late. Pay attention to these 7 early warning signs of pancreatic cancer. 1. Sudden unexpected weight loss A problem with the pancreas can affect digestion and appetite, which can cause you to lose weight unexpectedly. 2. Abdominal pain This is typically dull, persistent pain that can radiate to the left shoulder. Sometimes, it shows up as radiating pain in the belly button that extends into the spine and often feels worse after eating. 3. Jaundice This is characterized by yellowing of the whites of the eyes and rust-colored urine caused by bile backing up into the blood. TUDCA can be a good remedy for this! Take two on an empty stomach twice a day to open the bile ducts. 4. Chronic diarrhea Most pancreatic cancer affects the part of the pancreas that is responsible for digestive enzymes, which can often lead to chronic diarrhea. 5. Diabetes A tumor in the pancreas can disrupt the cells that produce insulin, contributing to diabetes. 6. Feeling full quickly Pancreatic cancer can cause you to feel full and bloated even If you’ve hardly had anything to eat. 7. Persistent fatigue This can be described as overwhelming, chronic fatigue that doesn't improve with more sleep. Don't consume sugar if you have pancreatic cancer! Risk factors for pancreatic cancer include the following: •Smoking tobacco •Type 2 diabetes •Obesity •Alcohol consumption •Genetic factors •Vitamin D deficiency Vitamin D may help shrink cancer and enhance the immune system's ability to fight cancer. To help prevent pancreatic cancer: •Ensure you’re getting enough sleep •Reduce stress •Exercise •Practice intermittent fasting Incorporating anti-cancer foods such as cruciferous vegetables, green tea, garlic, and berberine may help. The Ugly Truth About Avocados (You Won’t Like It)
Avocados are touted as a superfood, but are avocados a scam? Is avocado oil a healthy choice? Learn more about avocado nutritional deception and why you’ll need to do more than just read the labels on avocado oil. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: The avocado health fraud 0:37 Is avocado oil healthy? 1:38 Fake avocado oil US 2:05 The avocado oil scam 3:13 Rancid avocado oil 3:47 Guacamole 4:20 What is the best avocado oil? 4:49 Which avocados are best? 5:22 Are avocados a scam? DATA: https://www.ucdavis.edu/food/news/stu...https://www.sciencedirect.com/science... Learn more about reading labels with this FREE resource: https://drbrg.co/3J951Wj Discover the real consequences of seed oils here: https://drbrg.co/4mc4jpU Today, we’re going to investigate the truth about avocados, avocado oil, and your health. When avocados arrive at the grocery store, they’re often put into a gas chamber and artificially ripened with ethylene gas. The artificial ripening process leaves this superfood devoid of phytonutrients. One research study evaluated 22 different brands of avocado oil and discovered that many products were oxidized, which can cause inflammation. Surprisingly, many products were actually fake avocado oil, mainly composed of soy and canola oils. Approximately 82% of avocado oil is not what it says it is! In the US, there are no official rules on avocado oil or a legally binding definition of the avocado oil extraction process. This has opened the door for corruption. Some avocado oil products contain no avocado oil at all! The origins of your avocado oil can also be misleading. A product can be labeled “product of the US”, but grown and blended elsewhere, as long as the final product is bottled in the US. Avocado oil doesn’t always have an expiration or production date, making it difficult to determine how long it’s been sitting on the shelf. Fast food guacamole does not contain much avocado. It’s often replaced with green peas, hydrogenated oils, and food starches. Cosmetics also claim to use avocado oil, yet soy, palm, and mineral oils are usually listed first on the ingredient list. If you want to buy avocado oil, look for the following: •Dark, glass bottle •Expiration date •Avoid the cheapest brand •Look for the harvest date •Look for green-colored oil When choosing avocados, look for Californian varieties, such as the Hass variety. Avoid the cheaper, shiny, bagged varieties. Avocados can be an incredibly healthy food if you choose the right ones. They contain healthy fats, minimal omega-6 fats, and are a rich source of potassium and magnesium. The Fastest Way to Get Rid of Acne
Have you tried countless topical acne remedies that haven’t seemed to work? In this video, I’m going to show you how to get rid of acne fast, naturally! Find out how to get rid of acne overnight in this video. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: How to get rid of acne fast, naturally! 0:27 Sulfur for acne 1:22 How does sulfur work? 2:20 What depletes sulfur? 2:51 Sources of sulfur for acne 3:20 How to get rid of acne by increasing sulfur foods DATA: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles... Today, I’m going to share one of the best acne remedies to help get rid of acne naturally and effectively. I discovered 4 patents that involved sulfur for acne, and I noticed countless sulfur creams on the market. So, what’s the deal with sulfur for acne? Many people with acne are deficient in sulfur. Sulfur can help with acne removal because of the following benefits •Decreases inflammation •Increases hydration of the skin •Increases collagen •Helps regulate androgens •Helps regulate insulin Grains, sugar, seed oils, fructose, and alcohol can deplete sulfur. You get small amounts of sulfur from plants like garlic, onion, and cruciferous vegetables, but most of your sulfur comes from protein. Methionine and cysteine are the 2 amino acids that provide you with the most sulfur. After calcium and phosphorus, sulfur is the most abundant mineral in the body, so you need a lot of it! To increase sulfur and get rid of acne, consume the following foods: 1. Eggs 2. Fish 3. Beef 4. Lamb 5. Cheese 6. Organ meats You must also avoid sugar and starch, which will block the absorption of methionine and cysteine and decrease sulfur. Try increasing your intake of high-quality animal-based protein to get rid of acne fast. Let me know how it works! The Shocking Truth About Vaccines
When it comes to vaccine safety and side effects, we’re told to “trust the science.” In this video, we’ll examine vaccine research and uncover why so much vaccine controversy exists. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: The shocking truth about vaccines 0:36 Medical misinformation explained 1:00 Vaccine funding and conflict of interest 1:30 Vaccine safety studies 5:13 Astroturfing and vaccine controversy Learn to support your immune system naturally with this FREE resource: https://drbrg.co/4fG0yGK Boost immune function with vitamin D! Learn how here: https://drbrg.co/45WiLwp Don't let health jargon confuse you. These groups organize PR action against people like RFK Jr. Disclaimer: Dr. Eric Berg received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1988. This ONE Lie Causes 90% of Chronic Disease
What causes chronic diseases? In this video, we’re going to talk about the biggest chronic disease risk factor contributing to over 90% of chronic diseases. Learn more about the connection between chronic disease and diet, glucose metabolism, and insulin resistance in this short video. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: The #1 cause of chronic disease 0:12 The lie about glucose 0:44 Blood sugar levels after sugar consumption 1:59 The root cause of chronic disease 2:24 Insulin resistance and the dangers of sugar 3:45 Are carbohydrates necessary? 4:01 How to reverse insulin resistance Learn how to do Healthy Keto® the right way with this FREE guide: https://drbrg.co/449XnTz Keto is easier than you think. Use these tips to stay on track: https://drbrg.co/3SOE4sx Learn more about the dangers of sugar here: https://drbrg.co/4n0nxzo Over 90% of chronic disease stems from one lie taught to doctors, dieticians, nutritionists, and personal trainers worldwide. Glucose is the body’s preferred energy source! If glucose is so good for you, why does your body do everything it can to eliminate it from your blood? The average thin person has about 100,000 calories of stored fat and only 1,700 calories of glucose. When you consume sugar, it’s removed from the blood very quickly, and the excess sugar is converted into fat. The body requires a small amount of glucose, but your body can make this small amount. The single root cause of chronic disease is high glucose! Blood sugar spikes create inflammation on the inside of the arteries, leading to chronically high insulin levels to remove the sugar. The body compensates with insulin resistance to slow down the glucose that enters the cells. Early symptoms of insulin resistance include: •Frequent urination at night •Brain fog •Loss of memory •Belly fat •Visual problems •Mood issues •Anxiety •Depression •Excessive hunger/cravings •Heart palpitations •Fluid retention in ankles and feet •Sleep apnea These initial symptoms can ultimately lead to diabetes, dementia, cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. People are not taught about the dangers of sugar and carbohydrates. In fact, most people aren’t worried about their high-carbohydrate diet because the food pyramid tells us that we should consume 65% of our calories from carbohydrates. This is a lie! A low-carb diet of less than 30 grams of carbs per day is one of the best things you can do to improve your health. One study showed a 90% success rate of ceasing insulin use in 10 weeks on a low-carb diet! The food industry has created the lie that glucose is the preferred fuel because you can profit the most from refined carbohydrates! The Biggest Weight Loss LIE in History
This is the biggest lie about weight loss and dieting, and it’s been going on for decades! Find out the truth about weight loss and why you may want to ditch the calorie counting for good. Don’t fall for diet lies! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: The biggest weight loss lie 0:15 The calorie-deficit weight loss myth 0:39 Weight loss myths debunked 1:58 More weight loss facts 3:18 Why diets don’t work 4:24 Debunking diet lies about sugar 5:15 How to lose weight The weight loss industry has convinced the public that losing weight is just a matter of eating fewer calories than you're burning. There is no one bad food, and you can consume “everything in moderation”. These diet lies will not work! All calories are not the same! Let’s look at the hormone insulin, which tells calories where to go. If insulin is high, your carbohydrates will be stored as fat. If it’s low, those calories will be burned. All it takes is a small amount of carbohydrates to raise insulin and prevent your body from burning fat. Cortisol, the stress hormone, can indirectly raise your insulin. It interferes with sleep, when most of your fat burning occurs. Fiber can help buffer a blood sugar spike. Orange juice without the fiber will increase your blood sugar significantly more than whole oranges with fiber. Highly refined industrial starch is classified as a complex carbohydrate. It raises blood sugar significantly more than starch from a whole food source, such as a potato. Different types of fat affect your health in dramatically different ways. Cod liver oil is a potent source of healthy omega-3 fat, while if you were to consume the same amount of Crisco fat, the health effects would be completely opposite. You will not lose weight if your calories don’t satisfy you. Unsustainable diets leave you feeling hungry all the time. The more nutrient-dense a food is, the more satisfying it will be. The source of the calories matters! All of your cells can metabolize glucose, but only the liver can metabolize fructose. Synthetic sugars like high fructose corn syrup can overload your liver and significantly differ from natural sugar sources like honey. If you’re struggling to lose weight, realizing that calorie counting doesn’t work is essential. Healthy Keto® and intermittent fasting can help you lose weight sustainably! --- Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
