The FASTEST Way to Lose Cellulite

The best exercise for cellulite does not require hours in the gym! Find out how to get rid of cellulite with the best cellulite-burning exercise. Tone legs and reduce cellulite naturally and effectively with this cellulite workout. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: How to get rid of cellulite on thighs and buttocks 0:24 What is cellulite? 1:56 Green coffee bean oil to reduce cellulite 2:13 Does exercise help cellulite? 2:42 Cellulite exercises 3:58 The best exercise for cellulite Cellulite is a disruption of the connective tissue and fascia under your skin. Cellulite typically occurs only on the thighs and buttocks and doesn’t occur on the stomach, arms, or breast tissue. An enzyme involved in menstruation is often responsible for this disruption in collagen. If you only focus on losing weight without rebuilding the collagen in your legs, you will still have cellulite! Consuming collagen will provide the raw materials, but will not correct the problem. To reduce cellulite, you must restore the connective tissue. Green coffee bean oil, which is often formulated with retinol, collagen, and green tea extract, can help reduce cellulite. The connective tissue responsible for cellulite formation is highly responsive to mechanical stress. The best exercise for cellulite is intense, so it’s important to gradually ease into it with lower impact cellulite exercises. These cellulite exercises stimulate new layers of connective tissue to tone legs and reduce cellulite. Slow squats and step-down lunges are two of the best leg and glute workouts for reducing cellulite. You can also perform box jumps or jump rope, depending on your fitness level. The best exercise for cellulite also burns subcutaneous and visceral fat. To start, look for a hill that’s a bit uneven. Start by walking up the hill and finish by sprinting uphill for about ten to twenty seconds. Uphill sprinting significantly stimulates new connective tissue because it requires intense stabilization from your body. It takes time to get rid of cellulite because your body needs time to regrow collagen and connective tissue. To see results, expect to perform these cellulite exercises for six months to a year. Prolonged fasting is very beneficial to support a healthy body. However, there is one aspect of prolonged fasting that can be dangerous, and that’s what we’re going to cover today. Prolonged fasting is when you fast for three or more days. The biggest danger of prolonged fasting is called refeeding syndrome. This can happen if a person consumes too much of the wrong foods too fast after coming off of a prolonged fast. Rare complications of refeeding syndrome can include coma, seizures, convulsions, and death. Refeeding syndrome typically involves malnutrition. Certain conditions cause a higher risk of refeeding syndrome, such as: • Eating disorders • Alcoholism • Type 1 diabetes • Starvation However, the risk of refeeding syndrome is low if you aren’t malnourished going into a prolonged fast. As a bare minimum, when you start any type of fasting, you need to take electrolytes and B vitamins. How to come off of a prolonged fast: 1. Consume foods that align with Healthy Keto® 2. Take electrolytes and B vitamins while fasting (you may also want to take cod liver oil, vitamin D, vitamin K2, and trace minerals) 3. Gradually consume very small amounts of food Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 58, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Folic Acid vs. Folate Explained and Simplified

Get access to my FREE resources 👉 https://drbrg.co/3Qe09jg Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Just so you know, my full line of high-quality supplements is available on Amazon — search Dr. Berg Supplements. Folic acid vs. folate—which should you be taking? Find out! DATA: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2790187 https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/23125102/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4341306/ https://www.hindawi.com/journals/crinm/2013/159649/ 0:00 Folic acid explained 0:10 Folic acid and pregnancy 1:30 How much vitamin B9 do you need? 2:25 The solution 3:32 Folic acid vs. folate 4:15 How to avoid synthetic folic acid 4:45 The best sources of folate 4:55 Folic acid and vitamin B12 5:53 Learn more about vitamin B12! Today I’m going to cover folic acid and folate. Are they the same? No, they’re not—and we’re going to talk about why. Folic acid is the synthetic version of vitamin B9, and folate is the natural version. Many pregnant women take a supplement that contains folic acid because data shows that it can help prevent neural tube defects. But many people are finding that they have a genetic mutation related to B9, which means there could be a problem if they take folic acid. This genetic mutation involves an enzyme responsible for converting folic acid into an active form so your body can use it. People with this mutation need more vitamin B9 than usual, but it’s also important that they don’t have too much. For example, one of the top benefits of vitamin B9 is that it protects against the initiation of cancer. However, excess vitamin B9 is also involved in the initiation of new cancer cells. The solution is to take a version of vitamin B9 that doesn’t require an enzyme to be converted—making this genetic mutation not a problem anymore. What we need is more methylfolate. Methylfolate is a type of vitamin B9 that’s easily absorbed and doesn’t require other enzyme reactions like synthetic folic acid does. Overall, it’s essential to avoid products that contain folic acid and consume more foods that contain natural folate. The best source of natural B9 is dark leafy green vegetables. Unfortunately, our environment is very polluted, and we are bathed in toxins on a daily basis. Heavy metals are one type of these toxins. Today we're going to talk about the best strategy for detoxifying heavy metals. Heavy metals can accumulate in our tissues and can cross the blood-brain barrier. Heavy metal poisoning can affect different parts of the body, including the heart, digestive system, neurons, red blood cells, and certain proteins. Exposure to heavy metals also creates a lot of free radicals and oxidation and forces our antioxidants to work harder. Heavy metals even block our endogenous antioxidants. Our bodies have a very powerful detoxification system, but heavy metals block this important system. While you can avoid heavy metals to a certain degree, you really need to strengthen your detox enzymes: glutathione and SOD. These enzymes help break down chemicals and help prevent oxidation and free-radical damage. The best foods to support heavy metal detoxification: 1. Sulforaphane (broccoli sprouts or broccoli microgreens) 2. Cilantro 3. Allicin (garlic) 4. Curcumin (turmeric) 5. Cruciferous vegetables Two of the best ways to avoid heavy metals: 1. Consume organic foods 2. Get a water filter Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 58, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Simple Trick to Fix Bad Circulation & Blood Flow in Your Feet and Legs

It's often thought that the heart is responsible for all your blood circulation, but is there more to it? Find out how to improve blood circulation in your legs and feet with these expert tips and simple leg circulation exercises. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: How to improve blood circulation in legs 0:12 Problems associated with poor circulation 1:03 Improve circulation in legs and feet with infrared 2:06 Potassium and magnesium 4:08 Varicose veins and circulation 4:38 Leg exercises for blood circulation 6:13 Cold feet Understanding the Heart by Dr. Stephen Hussey Book Link: https://www.amazon.com/Understanding-... If you have poor circulation in the legs and feet, you might experience the following: edema, swelling, painful feet, and cramps in the feet and calves. According to Dr. Stephen Hussey, author of "Understanding the Heart," the heart spins the blood, acting as a mechanism to create structured water. Similar to the way a tree pushes water up from the roots, increasing structured water throughout the circulatory system can improve circulation. You can increase structured water in your blood with infrared. Over 50% of the sun's energy is infrared! Increasing sun exposure can help improve the circulation in your legs and your heart function. Infrared increases nitric oxide, which supports the arteries and healthy blood pressure. Vitamin D from the sun also increases nitric oxide. If you have edema in the feet, potassium is one of the best natural diuretics for getting rid of excess fluid. Eliminating sugar and starches from your diet can also stop fluid retention, especially in the lower extremities. High sugar consumption depletes vitamin B1. If you’re experiencing tingling and pain in the bottom of your feet, consuming benfotiamine—a fat-soluble form of vitamin B1—may help. Cramping in your legs and feet can also be related to a magnesium deficiency. For the best results, take 800 mg per day in the evening for several weeks. It’s also important to avoid compression socks, which can further restrict blood circulation. Diosmin is an excellent remedy for varicose veins. If you have varicose veins, edema, or any other problems with the lower part of your body, avoid intense exercise. Instead, aim for light exercise like walking and try these simple leg circulation exercises! What about cold feet? Cold feet are generally caused by an iodine deficiency due to a low thyroid. Sea kelp is one of the best sources of iodine. Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 60, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. DON'T GET SURGERY Unless You Do This First

Preoperative vitamin D supplementation can be life-saving! Find out about the amazing benefits of vitamin D for surgery and why you don’t want to go into surgery if you might have a vitamin D deficiency. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Check out Dr. Berg Vitamin B12: 🛒https://drbrg.co/3DQQo7C0:00 Introduction: Vitamin D and surgery 0:42 Vitamin D benefits 1:35 Vitamin D and surgical outcomes 1:57 Vitamin B12 2:36 Vitamin D and postoperative infections 3:25 Vitamin D benefits after surgery DATA: https://hlahore.substack.com/p/vitami... Surgeries come with risks, which include death. Surgery can significantly lower your vitamin D, so if you have surgery and you’re deficient, you could be putting yourself at risk. If you’re low in vitamin D, your blood pressure can go up. Vitamin D is one of the best remedies for high blood pressure because it increases nitric oxide, which helps vasodilation in the arteries. Vitamin D supports your immune system, helps prevent infection, and reduces inflammation. It also helps reduce cardiovascular complications after surgery. Some people take 100,000 to 300,000 IU of vitamin D before surgery! If you don’t have enough vitamin D, your muscles can weaken, which increases your risk of falling after surgery. Post-operative inflammatory indicators increase by 200% if you’re low in vitamin D. Vitamin D can increase antimicrobial peptides by 4000%! This compound helps your immune system kill microbes and dramatically reduces the risk of postoperative infection. Sufficient vitamin D cuts the risk of surgical complications in half. One study found that half of atrial fibrillation was reduced with enough vitamin D. Vitamin D is especially important for open-heart surgery, thyroid removal, and cancer removal. Surgery puts significant stress on your adrenal glands. If you’re low in vitamin D, cortisol can spike 4x after surgery, slowing healing and increasing inflammation. If you’re low in vitamin D, you’re 8 times more likely to have cognitive dysfunction after surgery. Vitamin D can reduce the risk of rejection during an organ transplant and is associated with fewer complications with ventilators after surgery. If you take vitamin D before surgery, you can expect shorter hospital stays and faster healing rates. If you only take high doses of vitamin D for 3 days before surgery, you don’t need to worry about any toxic effects. #health #keto #ketodiet #weightloss #ketolifestyle #intermittentfasting #lowcarb Thanks for watching! You're Being Lied To About Ozempic.

PBM transparency problems are a huge issue that most people are unaware of. Pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) are like a toll bridge between you and the price you pay for medication. Find out how PBMs affect drug costs and influence the drugs covered by your insurance, all for their own financial gain. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Do PBMs raise drug costs? 0:45 Hidden PBM fees explained 1:39 Spread pricing explained 3:49 How PBMs affect insurance premiums 4:30 Raising awareness about hidden PBM fees Why do drugs like Ozempic cost $1500 in the U.S., but only $147 in Canada? Most people don’t know about the invisible middleman making more than 10 of the top drug companies combined. Healthcare may seem like a broken system, but it’s actually not broken at all. It works great; it’s just not working for you. Pharmacy benefit managers use their contracts to make massive profits off of everyone. PBMs may appear to be helpful. They negotiate lower prices for manufacturing companies, reduce out-of-pocket expenses, and handle logistics between employers and insurance companies. Pharmacy benefit managers charge the employer a very high price and pay the pharmacies a very low price, pocketing the difference. This is known as spread pricing. PBMs decide which drugs your plan covers, how much you’ll pay out of pocket, which pharmacy you can use, and when or if you’ll get your medication. Cheaper and better drugs are often denied if PBMs don’t get a big enough rebate. They can even force you to fill your prescriptions at specific PBM pharmacies for more profit. Drug companies have to give PBMs a kickback or “rebate” to get their drugs covered by insurance companies. To afford this rebate, drug companies raise the list price, and PBMs promote the drug that gives them the most profit. Pharmacy benefit managers own insurance companies and pharmacies. Three of the largest PBMs control 80% of the medications in the U.S. Surprisingly, PBMs don’t exist in other countries. Viral Health Tips You Need to STOP Now

How can you distinguish between actual health hacks and fake health trends? In this video, I’m going to tell you about ten health hacks that don’t work and often cause more harm than good. Avoid these health hacks to save your health and your wallet! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Health hacks debunked 0:17 Ear candling 1:10 Gallbladder flush 2:36 The master cleanse 3:27 Foot detox pads 4:16 Foot detox bath 5:26 Ab belts 6:20 The blood type diet 7:18 EMF blockers 7:56 Carb blockers 9:12 Psychiatric medication 1. Ear candling This treatment has been debunked by a doctor of audiology! There is absolutely no difference in ear wax before and after ear candling. 2. Gallbladder flush This almost killed me! A gallbladder flush involves drinking 12 ounces of olive oil followed by beet tablets to eliminate gallstones. This really eliminates bile, causing you to become deficient. TUDCA is a much better remedy to help prevent and eliminate gallstones and bile sludge. 3. The master cleanse This cleanse combines lemon juice, cayenne pepper, and maple syrup, which won’t cleanse your body but will mess with your blood sugar. 4. Foot detox pads You can not pull toxins and heavy metals out of your feet as there are no detox pathways through the skin. 5. Foot detox bath Similar to foot detox pads, a chemical reaction changes the water's color during a foot detox bath, leading you to believe it’s pulling toxins out of your body. 6. Ab belts Stimulating the stomach muscles or sweating will not remove fat from your midsection. Visceral fat must be removed through diet and exercise. 7. The blood type diet This diet is not supported by credible research. Blood types relate more to an immune difference rather than a digestive difference. 8. EMF blockers A sticker on your cell phone can not block the EMF radiation it omits. 9. Carb blockers Carb blockers contain an extract that can inhibit the digestion of a minimal amount of starch, not sugar. You would need to take several bottles to inhibit the digestion of the starch from one donut. 10. Psychiatric medication The effectiveness of psychiatric medication can be comparable to placebo outcomes. They may also come with serious side effects and can be highly addictive. Thanks for watching! I hope this increases your awareness about health hacks to avoid. I’ll see you in the next video. --- Learn more about your ad choices. A new study on erythritol and heart attacks has been in the news and found its way to social media—let’s talk about it. This study correlates erythritol in your blood to higher incidents of heart attacks and strokes. However, I see some serious problems with this study. Here are four key points about this study: 1. Correlation does not mean causation. 2. This study was based on endogenous erythritol and did not measure dietary erythritol. The body makes endogenous erythritol. 3. The body produces erythritol when you metabolize sugar, have oxidative stress or belly fat, or consume alcohol. The great majority of people in this study were in poor health, so how do we know erythritol was the problem? 4. Other research has liked erythritol to many different health benefits. Could it be that erythritol is increasing in the body to counter the bad effects of sugar? It seems to me that erythritol is something that’s trying to help you and not hurt you. The REAL Reason You Should Eat Liver (MTHFR Gene Mutation)

Discover the benefits of liver and why you really need to start consuming it. 0:00 Introduction: The benefits of liver and why you need it in your diet 0:35 Nutrients in liver 1:14 Is liver toxic? 2:40 Why you should consume liver 8:38 Action steps 11:25 Learn more about detoxification! Let’s talk about why you should start consuming liver. Liver is the most nutrient-dense food on earth. Many people don’t want to consume liver because they think it’s filled with toxins. But, while the liver helps you get rid of toxins, it doesn’t store toxins. Another misconception is that you will get an overload of certain nutrients if you consume liver regularly. This may happen if you consume synthetic vitamins in high amounts, but liver doesn’t contain synthetic vitamins. There is a very common genetic problem that can lead to a cascade of effects in the body, including: • A buildup of unusable iron (that can cause symptoms of both high iron and low iron) • A lack of neurotransmitters (leading to anxiety or depression) • A lack of DNA repair (can increase your risk of certain cancers) • An increased risk of colon cancer • Inflammation • Fatigue • Poor cognitive function (leading to decreased memory, focus, and concentration) • Estrogen dominance (can increase your risk of certain cancers) • Low testosterone • Less protection against autoimmune conditions • Less protection against adverse reactions that can occur after vaccines To help with this issue, you need plenty of folate and B12. But synthetic versions of these vitamins can make things worse. However, liver is the best food you can eat for this issue. It has mega amounts of folate and vitamin B12, as well as other associated nutrients you need for this condition. If you don’t like consuming liver, you can take a supplement that has high amounts of the correct forms of vitamin B12, vitamin B6, and folate. Action steps: 1. Consume more folate and B12 2. Avoid synthetic foods enriched with folate and B12 3. Minimize alcohol consumption 4. Stop taking synthetic vitamins Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. The BIG Magnesium Mistake

If you think that magnesium’s not working, you could be taking it wrong. Find out about the common mistakes people make with magnesium supplements. There are so many benefits of magnesium—it's the most important mineral, so make sure you’re taking it correctly. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Magnesium benefits 0:23 Magnesium deficiency 0:54 Magnesium deficiency causes 2:10 Magnesium glycinate 4:09 Magnesium sources 4:21 What if magnesium’s not working? Magnesium is involved in hundreds of biochemical reactions that help prevent common problems such as atrial fibrillation, high blood pressure, insomnia, heart disease, leg cramps, and fatigue. Many people are magnesium deficient, but it’s almost impossible to test! Only 1% of your magnesium is in the blood—the rest is inside the cells. Some common causes of magnesium deficiency include: •Genetic weakness •Low stomach acid •Prediabetes or diabetes Magnesium depends on vitamin D, which many people have a genetic problem with. Vitamin D deficiency inhibits the proper function of magnesium in the body. You need a minimum of 10,000 IU of vitamin D daily. Magnesium glycinate has an 80% absorption rate and also helps with sleep. Magnesium controls calcium, so you likely have excess calcium if you're magnesium deficient. Too much calcium causes cramping in the calves, high blood pressure, and arrhythmias. Smoking, alcohol, soda, refined sugars, starches, and certain medications can all contribute to a magnesium deficiency. Leafy greens, pumpkin seeds, chocolate, and nuts are the best food sources of magnesium. You won't see results if you don’t give magnesium enough time to work. It takes at least 1 to 3 months to see results from magnesium. Digestive issues like constipation or diarrhea can greatly affect your ability to absorb magnesium. Chronic stress and exercise can increase your magnesium requirements. You can increase magnesium absorption by spreading your doses throughout the day rather than taking it all at once. Try drinking apple cider vinegar mixed with water to acidify the stomach and increase magnesium absorption. VITAMIN D IS DANGEROUS

What happens if you take too much vitamin D? In this video, we’ll discuss the vitamin D dangers you should know about. Learn how to avoid vitamin D side effects, which are very different from vitamin D toxicity. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Vitamin D dangers 0:10 Understanding vitamin D toxicity 1:10 Vitamin D and magnesium 1:53 Zinc and vitamin D 2:20 Vitamin K2 and vitamin D 2:33 Vitamin D and vitamin A 3:11 Vitamin D supplements 4:12 Food sources of magnesium 4:48 Zinc and vitamin K2 DATA: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/3627603/ https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles... Vitamin D needs magnesium to function properly in the body. The more vitamin D you take, the more magnesium you need. Magnesium prevents vascular calcification, the main problem associated with vitamin D toxicity. The vitamin D receptor is dependent on zinc. Like magnesium, your zinc requirements increase when you take vitamin D. Zinc deficiency symptoms include an altered sense of taste and smell, acne, flaky skin, and lowered testosterone. When you increase your vitamin D intake, you’ll need more vitamin K2. Vitamin K2 helps prevent the buildup of calcium and also helps to drive calcium into the bones and teeth. The active form of vitamin A, called retinol, is also an important cofactor for vitamin D. Vitamin A receptors sometimes bind with vitamin D receptors as a complex. Vitamin A also helps keep calcium out of your arteries. Always take vitamin D3, not D2. Vitamin D2 is less potent and is typically synthetic. Avoid synthetic vitamin D3 supplements and supplements with fillers such as maltodextrin or glucose syrup. Leafy greens, chocolate, certain nuts, and pumpkin seeds are the best food sources of magnesium. When choosing a supplement, look for magnesium glycinate. The best food sources of zinc are red meat and shellfish. If you take a zinc supplement, consume it in a blend with other trace minerals. For every 10,000 IU of vitamin D3 that you take, you’ll need 100 mcg of vitamin K2. MK7 is the best form. Vitamin K2 is found in high-quality grass-fed butter, kimchi, sauerkraut, grass-fed beef, and eggs. When using high doses of vitamin D, always check with your doctor. High doses of vitamin D can increase blood/urine calcium levels resulting in calcium deposits in the kidney. Also drink 2.5 liters of fluids per day, take cofactors with vitamin D (magnesium, K2 and zinc) and have your doctor monitor your PTH, vitamin D blood levels and creatinine and avoid excess calcium supplements of high calcium foods when taking vitamin D levels over 10,000 IUs. It’s best to get your vitamin A from food. Egg yolks, liver, and cod liver oil are the best sources. Today we're going to talk about the absolute worst food for the heart: trans fats. While sugar is bad for the heart, trans fats are even worse. In 2015, the FDA no longer classified trans fats as safe. Consuming trans fats increases the risk of several serious health issues, including: • Heart attack • Stroke • Type 2 diabetes • Cancer • Increased LDL • Decreased HDL • Inflammation • Autoimmune diseases • Infertility • Tendon and bone degeneration Partially hydrogenated oils contain trans fats, but products that contain either partially hydrogenated or hydrogenated fats should be avoided to help protect against heart disease and other health problems. It turns out that animal feed still contains trans fats. This means that you could consume trans fats indirectly by consuming animals fed trans fats. Restaurants also commonly serve foods containing trans fats. There's even a loophole that allows half of a gram of trans fats in one serving size to claim that a product has zero trans fats. Overall, it's crucial to read food labels and be aware of what you're eating, especially at restaurants. Certain teas are high in tannins • Tannins bind iron, zinc, and calcium • Tannins block the absorption of vitamin B1 (a B1 deficiency may cause anxiety) 2. Certain teas are loaded with heavy metals (aluminum, lead, and arsenic) • Teas from China may have higher amounts of heavy metals and pesticides 3. Certain tea bags are bleached with chlorine • The chemical used (epichlorohydrin) is a carcinogen You don’t need to stop drinking tea altogether. You just need to do a few simple things first, including: 1. Ensuring your tea is organic 2. Taking vitamin B1 and minerals 3. Buying loose leaf tea or making sure your tea bags are bleach-free 4. The Actual Reason Men Die Before Women

Why do men die earlier than women? In this video, I’ll uncover the truth about the gender life expectancy gap. Don’t worry, I’ll also share 8 ways to increase life expectancy for men and women, along with the longevity risk factors to avoid. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Life expectancy: Men vs. women 0:12 Male mortality rate speculation 0:34 Longevity genes 1:55 How to live longer for men and women 3:59 Diet and exercise for increased life expectancy 5:28 Factors that increase mortality rates Did you know that men die an average of 6 years earlier than women? Some people blame the gender life expectancy gap on men being involved with more hazardous work, having fewer doctor visits, smoking more, or consuming more alcohol. Men often experience more heart attacks and strokes than their female counterparts. Autoimmune diseases are more common in women, but they don’t typically die from these conditions. A specific longevity gene called FOXO3 plays a major role in your life expectancy. Women express this gene more than men because the gene is activated by estrogen. Fortunately, estrogen is not the only thing that activates your longevity genes! FOXO3 helps prevent cancer and helps with gene repair. It’s a stress-resistant gene that allows you to adapt to your environment. Nature prioritizes reproduction and fertility, so women often express longevity genes more than men. There are many ways to increase the FOXO3 gene to increase life expectancy for both men and women! 1. Consume phytonutrients (astaxanthin, sulforaphane, EGCG, resveratrol) 2. Cold and heat (cold baths or saunas) 3. Intermittent fasting 4. Ketones 5. Exercise 6. Prolonged fasting for 48 hours or more 7. Controlled oxidative stress (hypoxia training) 8. Sunlight The following factors can decrease FOXO3 and shorten your life expectancy: 1. Too much insulin 2. Chronic inflammation 3. Chronic stress 4. Overfeeding 5. Sedentary lifestyle 6. Heavy metals (i.e., aluminum, mercury) 7. EMF 8. Endocrine disruptors --- Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Today we’re going to talk about how to protect your kidneys. The kidneys can take a beating and can even regenerate. They are composed of roughly one million tiny filters, which filter your blood. But as you age, you start losing these filters—so it becomes even more important to start eating better and decrease exposure to toxins. The two worst things for your kidneys are sugar and oxalates. It’s crucial to stop consuming sugar and high-carb foods and to start limiting your exposure to high-oxalate foods. However, consuming cheese or dairy with foods that are high in oxalates, but are otherwise healthy, can help counter kidney damage from oxalates. Foods high in oxalates: • Almonds • Spinach • Beet tops • Peanuts • Grains • Beans • Sweet potatoes • Cassava • Tapioca • Kiwi • Chocolate • Swiss chard • Turmeric • Cinnamon • Clove The best ways to protect your kidneys: 1. Consume lemon water every morning 2. Consume apple cider vinegar mixed in water 3. Consume 2.5 liters of water a day 4. Avoid high-oxalate foods or add dairy to high-oxalate foods 5. Get on the Healthy Keto® diet and do intermittent fasting 6. Avoid fructose 7. Avoid consuming high levels of vitamin C 8. Consume potassium (not for end-stage kidney disease) 9. Consume plant foods and microgreens Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 58, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. DATA: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/1619503/ https://ucfhealth.com/our-services/endocrinology/the-relationship-between-potassium-and-diabetes/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3197792/ 0:00 Introduction: Potassium and diabetes 0:15 Blood pressure medications and diabetes 2:47 Potassium benefits 3:45 Potassium RDAs 4:02 Foods high in potassium 5:45 Type 1 diabetes and potassium 6:33 Learn more about potassium! Today we're going to talk about how potassium affects diabetes and high blood pressure. Diuretics are commonly used to treat high blood pressure. But, they come with side effects, including an increased risk of developing diabetes. On the flip side, ace inhibitors, also used to treat high blood pressure, protect against diabetes and lower the risk of diabetes. I believe the big difference between these two drugs, when it comes to diabetes risk, is what they do to potassium. Diuretics deplete potassium, and without enough potassium, insulin can't be released very well. A deficiency of insulin can then lead to diabetes. Ace inhibitors increase potassium by helping to prevent the loss of potassium. So why do we even need a drug—why aren't we just consuming more potassium? Many people support healthy blood pressure and healthy blood sugar levels by taking potassium. Benefits of potassium: • It protects the kidneys • It protects the heart • It helps protect against stroke • It helps protect against diabetes • It helps power the nervous system in connection with the muscles • It helps regulate sodium The RDAs for potassium are 4700 mg. It might surprise you, but bananas aren't a good source of potassium. A few of the best sources of potassium are: • Leafy greens • Potatoes • Avocado • Electrolyte powder Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 58, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Today, we’re going to talk about one of the best natural remedies to increase testosterone: onions. Testosterone does a lot in the body, including increasing libido, controlling male characteristics, and increasing muscle growth. When someone takes testosterone, they inactivate the gland that makes the hormone. Generally, we want to choose natural ways to increase testosterone, which can involve natural glandular therapy. Onions are high in quercetin, which triggers the luteinizing hormone. Luteinizing hormone controls and can increase the production of testosterone in males. Onions also have a lot of additional health benefits: • They have powerful antioxidant effects • They have properties that help with insulin resistance • They have anti-cancer properties • They can help increase nitric oxide to support the vascular system • They may help reduce the risk of cataracts • They may help reduce the risk of allergies • They have potent anti-inflammatory properties • They may help decrease blood pressure • They can act as a diuretic It’s best to consume raw onions to support healthy testosterone levels. Today I want to cover some interesting points about selenium that you may have never heard before. Selenium is a trace mineral, and it’s involved in thyroid function and helps detox mercury. Selenium is also a powerful antioxidant. It’s important to support cardiovascular and brain health and may help prevent strokes and cancer. Brazil nuts are loaded with selenium. One Brazil nut will give you the selenium you need for the day. Taking too much selenium could lead to selenium toxicity. Selenium is in many other foods, too, so why are so many people deficient in selenium? It has to do with the fact that it’s in a form that plant roots have a difficult time extracting—they need help from microbes. However, there aren’t enough microbes or diversity of microbes in the soil. A good solution is to start buying foods from farmers who care about their soil and grow things with microbial diversity. It’s also essential to consume fermented foods. Another overlooked cause of selenium deficiency is a certain genetic mutation related to the proteins or enzymes with selenium. Taking statins may also lead to selenium deficiency. Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Today we’re going to talk about the best remedies for candida. A good portion of the microbes in your gut are fungi, and candida is one type of fungi. Friendly fungi support the body in many different ways. It’s not until we change the environment that our friendly bacteria and fungi live in that they can become a problem. For example, one of the biggest side effects of antibiotics is candida overgrowth. If the ratio of candida to bacteria is incorrect, this can lead to health issues. But bacteria release certain things to help keep candida in check. If candida does turn unfriendly, you need to know what you can do. One important thing to remember to support a healthy microbiome is to take probiotics if you have to take antibiotics. The best candida home remedies: 1. Take a probiotic and consume probiotic foods 2. Avoid sugar and dairy 3. Avoid carbs (do Healthy Keto®) 4. Avoid sugar alcohols 5. Consume capric acid (coconut oil or MCT oil) 6. Consume vegetable fiber 7. Consume natural herbal antibiotics (garlic, oregano oil, thyme, sage, or turmeric) Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Today I want to explain five things you need to know about the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV). Roughly 95 percent of the population has the Epstein-Barr virus. The more you know about EBV, the less you’ll be adversely affected by it. The Epstein-Barr virus can use different strategies to go under the radar and survive in a person’s body. The virus can go dormant and become very difficult for the body to detect. You can never get rid of EBV—you have to focus on keeping it in remission. To keep it in remission, you need to understand the strategies of the virus and how to support the immune system to keep it under control. Important things to know about the Epstein-Barr virus: 1. You can’t get rid of it 2. It’s associated with an increased risk of certain cancers, autoimmune diseases, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome, and fibromyalgia 3. It blocks key immune nutrients that your cells depend on, like vitamin D, vitamin A, and zinc 4. It modulates fever response 5. Emotional stress may trigger EBV to come out of remission Three things to help inhibit EBV from coming out of remission: 1. Decrease your stress and exposure to triggers 2. Take cod liver oil 3. Choose one or two of these herbs: • Elderberry • Echinacea • Olive leaf extract • Andrographis • Astragalus Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Today I’m going to reveal how problems with the gallbladder could be related to the thyroid. Bile contains bile salts, lecithin, bilirubin, protein, and cholesterol. If a person has too much cholesterol and not enough bile salts, they could develop gallstones. However, cholesterol is necessary to help you make bile, hormones, and vitamin D. The body makes the majority of cholesterol in the body. The liver makes bile. Bile helps eliminate excess cholesterol and certain toxins. It also helps break down fats and supports the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins and fatty acids. A person with hypothyroidism or a subclinical hyperthyroid issue has an increased risk of gallstones. Many different connections cause this increased risk, but overall, it takes a healthy thyroid to make enough bile and bile to create a healthy thyroid. Ultimately, I believe a lack of fat and cholesterol in the diet can increase your risk of gallstones and hypothyroidism from multiple angles. The Healthy Keto® diet can help supply the fats and important vitamins and minerals your body needs. Learn more about Healthy Keto in my other videos. Today we're going to talk about vitamin K2, and I'm going to share the best source of vitamin K2. While vitamin K1 supports blood clotting, vitamin K2 supports calcium transportation. Vitamin K2 works with vitamin D. Vitamin K2 and vitamin D3 are important to take together. Vitamin D raises calcium in the blood, but vitamin K2 pushes calcium from the blood into the bone. Vitamin K2 also uses LDL cholesterol as part of its transportation process. The health benefits of vitamin K2: • It supports healthy bones • It supports strong teeth • It helps prevent calcium from building up in the arteries, cartilage, and joints • It helps support healthy blood sugar levels • It helps generate ATP (energy) • It supports healthy testosterone levels • It supports the brain Vitamin K1 and vitamin K2 are fat-soluble—low-fat diets may lead to a vitamin K2 deficiency. Cheese, especially hard cheese, is a rich source of vitamin K2, with Muenster cheese at the top of the list. Other foods high in vitamin K2: • Grass-fed butter • Goose liver • Duck liver • Duck fat • Eel • Beef liver • Lamb's liver • Ground beef • Grass-fed hot dogs • High-quality bacon • Pork • Sauerkraut • Cod liver oil Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 58, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Are you drinking too much? Are you drinking too little? Today, we’re going to talk about fluids on keto and the biggest mistake people make when drinking water. The average American consumes 4.3 cups of water. This is extremely low. Many people also drink other types of liquids, but many of these can damage your health. Drinks with caffeine, sugar, and alcohol will actually worsen dehydration. The biggest mistake people make when it comes to fluids is thinking they are hydrated just because they are drinking a lot of liquids. There has been a big push to get people to drink more without fixing the root cause of their dehydration—and this is another big mistake. We have to consider the big picture, which includes electrolytes. Electrolytes like sodium, potassium, and magnesium are essential for hydration. But you have to have them in the correct amounts to be effective. The average person who exercises will need two to three liters of water per day. But, to stay hydrated, you need to add sea salt and other electrolytes to your water. You could also add lemon or apple cider vinegar to your water for additional benefits. Let's talk about sulforaphane. There are a lot of interesting health benefits of sulforaphane. Sulforaphane is a phytonutrient that has been studied extensively. You can get sulforaphane from many different plants, but the best source of sulforaphane is broccoli sprouts or broccoli microgreens. Broccoli sprouts or broccoli microgreens have 10 to 100 times more sulforaphane than broccoli. The majority of nutrients in plants, especially phytonutrients, are in the early stages of growth. Sprouts and microgreens also have much fewer anti-nutrients, which can irritate the gut. Sprouts and microgreens are incredibly nutritious and are great choices if you have a hard time consuming large amounts of vegetables. You can consume fewer of them to get a good amount of nutrients and phytonutrients. Potential benefits of microgreens and sprouts (sulforaphane): 1. May help prevent chronic disease 2.
