The 13 Biggest Keto Mistakes: DON'T MAKE THEM!

If you’re not losing weight on keto, or you’re stuck on a keto plateau, this is for you. Make sure you’re not making these common keto diet mistakes... they could be the reason why keto isn’t working! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Chapters: 00:00 Introduction: The keto diet is not working for me! 0:41 Why I’m not losing weight on keto 5:35 Gallbladder, liver health, and the keto diet 10:03 Vitamin D and keto weight loss problems 13:50 Keto diet facts and fiction In this video, we’ll take a look at why some people struggle with weight loss on the keto diet or experience a keto weight loss plateau. To do the keto diet correctly, you must reduce your carb intake to 50 grams or less per day, especially if you’re working towards a goal such as weight loss, reducing chronic illness, increasing energy, or improving your health. Avoid these 13 common keto diet mistakes! 1. Don’t do dirty keto, a low-carb diet that doesn’t eliminate unhealthy ingredients. 2. Poor sleep increases blood sugar values to those of a prediabetic. It also increases cortisol levels, inhibits the release of growth hormone, and reduces fat burning. 3. Stress raises cortisol levels, which blocks the benefits of keto. 4. Overtraining can stifle weight loss! 5. Gallbladder and liver health are vital for fat breakdown and absorption, and critical for proper thyroid function. You won’t lose weight on keto until you address these issues first. 6. Your thyroid is responsible for metabolism and energy. Focus on iodine, selenium, and zinc intake for a healthy thyroid. 7. Weight loss on keto starts with a healthy gut. Try L. reuteri yogurt to restore gut health and lose weight. 8. Not getting enough sun is one of the most common keto weight loss problems. Vitamin D protects you from insulin resistance, and sunlight increases melatonin and serotonin. 9. The more atrophy you have, the less keto will work for weight loss. 10. Make sure you have realistic expectations and an accurate definition of normal. After the initial water weight loss when first starting keto, weight loss will vary from person to person. 11. Pair the keto diet with intermittent fasting. Eliminate snacking and only eat when you’re hungry. 12. Avoid cheat day! 13. Lower your dietary fat intake if you’re struggling to lose weight on keto. You may have heard rumors that the keto diet is dangerous, but this simply isn’t true and is often based on poor research. Some foods labeled as “zero sugar” still contain carbs. Check labels and make sure your keto weight loss plateau isn’t caused by hidden sugar consumption! Let’s talk about wormwood. This natural herb has been used for thousands of years in Chinese medicine. The synthetic version of wormwood is the most effective treatment for malaria. There is also some interesting research on wormwood for COVID. Other potential benefits of wormwood: • It’s anti-parasitic • It may be effective against worms, viruses, bacteria, and Lyme disease • It’s anti-viral What we’re going to focus on today, though, is its effectiveness against cancer. Potential benefits of wormwood for cancer patients: 1. It can selectively cause apoptosis in cancer cells. 2. It oxidizes a small amount of your iron, turning it into a free radical and directing it to the cancer cell. Oxidized iron is toxic to cancer cells. 3. The phytonutrients in wormwood can inhibit a certain protein complex involved in the process of normal cells converting into cancer cells. 4. It can inhibit normal cells from producing an increase in blood vessels to a tumor. 5. It’s anti-inflammatory and may help stop the formation and spread of cancer. 6. It has an anti-metastatic effect, which means it may help inhibit the growth of cancer. Your Legs Are Failing First — Here’s Why

Leg strength is one of the best indicators of longevity. Find out how to increase leg strength and longevity with a healthy lifestyle and diet. Discover a simple leg exercise that can make a massive difference in circulation and lower body strength! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) chapters: 0:00 Introduction: Leg strength for longevity 0:37 Leg problems that affect longevity 10:41 Type 2 diabetes 13:50 The Soleus push-up 16:40 Sitting-rising test and longevity 19:43 More tips for strong legs Did you know that your legs can give early warning signs about underlying health conditions? The older you are, the more relevant this becomes! The following conditions that affect the legs can provide insight into your longevity and overall health. 1. Peripheral neuropathy These symptoms of numbness, pain, tingling, or burning in the bottom of the feet or fingertips are often associated with diabetes. High levels of sugar in the bloodstream destroy the vascular and nervous systems. 2. Ankle and foot edema Puffy legs and ankles, or pitting edema, often signify a serious problem with circulation involving the kidney, liver, or heart. 3. Restless legs syndrome This often occurs at night and is related to the overconsumption of sugar. Interference with your sleep can decrease longevity. Dietary changes, vitamin B1, and magnesium may help improve this condition. 4. Deep vein thrombosis Clots in the legs can break off and travel to the lungs. Around 90% to 95% percent of heart attacks are caused by clots. 5. Peripheral artery disease This type of atherosclerosis goes beyond the arteries of the heart and is caused by damage to the endothelial layer of the arteries. 6. Chronic venous insufficiency This is associated with a sedentary lifestyle and puts increased pressure on the heart. 7. Sarcopenia Age-related muscle loss is one of the top predictors of mortality. Protein and exercise are vital, especially as you age. Type 2 diabetes and blood sugar issues cause problems with the inside of the arteries, which often show up in your legs first. A low-carb diet and intermittent fasting can help reverse these issues, but this is often ignored by doctors. Benfotiamine and alpha-lipoic acid can also help with associated peripheral neuropathy. The soleus push-up can significantly improve your blood sugar and circulation, and the sitting-standing test is an excellent indicator of hip and core strength. Potassium, a low-carb diet, and the Soleus Push-up can all help improve edema and reduce excess water weight. Increasing nitric oxide supports the inner walls of the arteries, and consistent exercise and a sufficient amount of sleep can help strengthen the legs and increase longevity. My #1 BEST Health Tip of All Time (Works in SECONDS)

Try these 11 easy health hacks to improve your health and well-being today. Stop following health fads and try these health hacks that work. From acupressure for pain relief to apple cider vinegar for digestion, these top health hacks don’t cost anything and work within seconds! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Chapters: 0:00 Introduction: 11 simple health hacks 0:52 Increase CO2 1:33 Gallbladder massage 2:25 Acupressure for pain relief 4:12 Acupressure points for instant relaxation 5:43 Apple cider vinegar 6:23 Joint pain relief 7:29 Acupressure for headache 8:30 Sinus relief 1. Brain fog eraser Brain fog is typically the result of a hypoglycemic situation, so increasing your high-quality protein intake is a helpful solution. The best protein source is nutrient-dense red meat. 2. Increase CO2 Stress affects breathing and can cause you to take in too much oxygen. Increasing carbon dioxide by breathing through your nose may help with stress and also improve sleep, especially if you’re stressed out. 3. Gallbladder massage To find the gallbladder, press underneath the right rib cage and massage this area. This can help improve digestion and eliminate right shoulder pain. 4. Acupressure for pain relief The best acupressure technique for pain involves finding the mirror location of your pain on the opposite side of the body. Instead of applying pressure to the pain, you’ll apply pressure to this spot. 5. Fix tight muscles Be sure to stretch the muscle opposite of the muscle that’s causing you problems. 6. Sea salt under the tongue This works for weak muscles and can also work for fatigue. 7. Neck pain relief for instant relaxation A relaxed neck is vital for good sleep. For neck pain relief, apply pressure at the base of the hairline for instant relaxation. Apply pressure to this spot for about 2 minutes. 8. Apple cider vinegar Combine 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar with 3 to 4 ounces of water. Wait about 2 minutes and drink one more! This helps digestion and triggers the pancreas and gallbladder to release digestive juices. 9. Joint pain relief exercises Joint pain typically stems from a problem with your fascia—the connective tissue that covers the entire body. Stretching the fascia on the opposite side of the pain can often provide joint pain relief. 10. Headache pain relief Headaches often stem from past head injuries. Acupressure can provide headache pain relief if you apply pressure around the painful area. 11. Sinus relief Acupressure massage can provide instant relief for any type of breathing problem, such as sleep apnea, a deviated septum, and sinus problems. The #1 Best Food for Aging Skin

If you want glowing, youthful skin, you must work from the inside out. Discover one of the best anti-aging foods for your skin to add to your diet today! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Chapters: 0:00 Introduction: How to look younger 1:46 The best anti-aging food 4:27 Collagen and anti-aging 4:52 The best anti-aging diet Is your beauty routine actually aging you? The creams and lotions you think are helping your skin could have plastics, toxic chemicals, and hidden carcinogens. Even the products containing collagen will not be absorbed topically through the skin. Over-cleansing and excess scrubbing destroy your skin’s microbiome. Tap water contains fluoride and chlorine, which are toxic and damaging to the skin. A filter for your shower can help. Statins can also destroy youthful skin. They block cholesterol, which is essential for skin health and integrity. The FDA does not do third-party testing on the chemicals in your anti-aging products. The EU has banned 1600 cosmetic ingredients, while the US has only banned 30. The best anti-aging food is high in retinol, an essential building block for connective tissue and vital for the skin’s immune function. This anti-aging food contains copper and zinc, which support skin elasticity and healing. It’s loaded with iron, and a single serving has more anti-wrinkle and anti-aging benefits than many expensive creams. If you haven’t guessed, grass-fed liver is the #1 anti-aging superfood! Grass-fed liver contains every cofactor and nutrient necessary for healthy, youthful skin. Some people don’t enjoy eating liver, and if you have preexisting liver damage, you may feel tired after eating it. If this happens, try taking one beef liver capsule before bed. Soaking liver in lemon juice can improve its taste. Many good recipes also make it more palatable. Liver pâté, grass-fed liver pills, and blending liver with ground beef can also help mask the flavor. If you consume collagen, you need many cofactors to penetrate the skin. Liver provides all of them! Ultraprocessed foods will make you look older! Low-fat diets can also have an aging effect on the skin. Low-fat protein and poor quality protein will help you lose weight, but won’t help you look younger. The SHOCKING #1 Cause of High Blood Pressure

High blood pressure is not a disease! Learn how to lower blood pressure with dietary changes and increased intake of specific nutrients that act as natural blood pressure remedies in the body. Address the root cause of hypertension rather than just treating the symptoms. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: What causes high blood pressure? 1:15 Blood pressure explained 2:10 How to lower blood pressure and address nutritional deficiencies 2:38 Natural blood pressure remedies 4:33 Fixing insulin resistance to lower blood pressure Over 90% of hypertension is labeled as having an unknown cause, which is very profitable for drug companies. The endothelial layer of your arteries has insulin receptors. When these receptors are damaged, your blood pressure can increase. Too much insulin allows too much calcium to enter the cells, so calcium channel blockers are often used to lower high blood pressure. However, the connection between insulin resistance and high blood pressure is usually ignored. A protective shield called the glycocalyx typically covers the endothelial tissue on the inside of your arteries. When this shield becomes damaged, it can cause a cascade of problems, including cellular damage, inflammation, calcium buildup, and excess clotting. The glycocalyx is vulnerable to damage from glucose and fructose. A low-carb diet and intermittent fasting can help you get healthy and lower your blood pressure quickly. Insulin resistance creates serious nutritional deficiencies that must also be addressed to lower blood pressure. To help reverse high blood pressure, increase the following nutrients: •Vitamin D •Magnesium glycinate •Potassium •Sulfur To fix insulin resistance and lower blood pressure, it’s important to avoid carbohydrates, sugar, starch, and seed oils. Remember that it may take a few weeks to notice blood pressure changes. A food log can help keep you on track. If your blood pressure is decreasing, but you notice that the top number remains high, focus on reducing stress. Ensure you sleep enough, take long walks, or try ashwagandha to lower your stress levels. In this video, we’re going to talk about early time-restricted eating. In my first book, I recommended that everyone should eat breakfast. In my second book, I removed that recommendation. After reviewing the research, I tried early time-restricted eating and I’m very impressed with the benefits. Early eating aligns with your circadian rhythm, so it can be beneficial to avoid eating after 3:00p.m. Here are 7 benefits of early time-restricted eating: 1. Better HOMA-IR (insulin sensitivity) 2. Better blood sugars 3. Better B-cell response 4. Lower appetite in the evening 5. Better insulin levels after eating 6. Autophagy 7. Food genes downgraded in the evening Biochemical pathways that are associated with eating and food are normally downgraded in the evening. Eating reactivates those food genes, which is why I'm experimenting with my eating pattern. I’m still fasting for 20 hours each day, I've just shifted my eating pattern from 9:00a.m.-1:00p.m! Cortisol spikes in the morning, causing you to become hungry. You don’t have a cortisol spike in the evening, so you’ll spend the rest of the day satisfied and simply not hungry. This leads to better digestion, better blood sugar, and better sleep. Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. 10 Vitamins You Should NEVER Take

Find out about the harmful vitamins and supplements lurking in your medicine cabinet. These dangerous vitamins are not beneficial to your health, and often have the opposite effect. Do not take these vitamins! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: The 10 vitamins you should never take 0:40 Synthetic vitamin A 2:00 Synthetic beta carotene 3:08 Folic acid 4:25 Synthetic B12 5:51 Calcium carbonate 7:14 Iron 8:36 Magnesium oxide 9:33 Synthetic vitamin D (D2) 10:42 Omega-6 fat (Linoleic acid) 11:36 Copper Synthetic vitamins are often cheap and create a huge profit margin for the manufacturer. Most big vitamin companies are owned by Big Pharma and big chemical companies. Never take synthetic vitamin A! It can build up in the liver and fat cells and even cause a birth defect if it occurs during pregnancy. Synthetic vitamin A can also interfere with vitamin D and K2, increasing the risk of fractures. Beta carotene is not the same as vitamin A's active form. Synthetic beta carotene, made from coal tar and petroleum, can increase the risk of certain cancers. Folic acid is different from folate, the natural form of vitamin B9. Around 30% to 40% of the world's population has an alteration of the MTHFR gene, which interferes with their ability to turn folic acid into folate, causing it to build up in the blood. This can lead to an increased risk of cancer and a suppressed immune system. Synthetic B12, or cyanocobalamine, requires glutathione to convert to the active form methylcobalamine. Consuming large amounts of synthetic B12 depletes you of this vital antioxidant. Calcium carbonate is the main ingredient in many popular multivitamins. It can build up in the arteries and kidneys and increase your risk of a heart attack. Too much iron can increase your risk of type 2 diabetes, liver issues, Parkinson’s, and Alzheimer’s. Many iron supplements contain ferrous sulfate, a damaging, poor-quality source of iron. Magnesium oxide is a cheap, poorly-absorbed form of magnesium that frequently causes diarrhea. Choose magnesium glycinate for significantly better absorption, better sleep, lower cortisol, and more overall benefits. Synthetic vitamin D is called ergocalciferol and is made by exposing fungus or yeast to UV radiation. Vitamin D2 is not nearly as beneficial as vitamin D3, yet it’s the most prescribed. Don’t consume supplements with added omega-6 fat, often in the form of linoleic acid. Too much omega-6 fat increases inflammation. We need copper, but high amounts of cheap copper can be toxic. Ensure you consume copper with other trace minerals in the proper ratios, especially zinc! How to Tighten and Flatten Stomach with Just ONE EXERCISE

Find out how to lose belly fat fast for a toned, flat belly without doing hundreds of crunches or sit-ups! In this video, I’ll explain why a caloric deficit is not the best way to lose belly fat and give you the true key to weight loss. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: The truth about weight loss 1:45 Weight loss and insulin 6:26 Ketosis vs. fat adaptation 7:30 How to flatten the stomach 8:33 The dead bug exercise tutorial Link to Success Stories: https://drbrg.co/4gx2nVX A caloric deficit is not a sustainable way to lose weight or get a flat stomach! Most people find that their metabolism slows down in their 20s and 30s after a series of calorie-restrictive diets. Lowering calories increases hunger and cravings, which will require immense willpower and can stifle weight loss. The caloric deficit model is not sustainable! Insulin is the hormone that controls whether you burn or store fat. If you reduce insulin, you can tap into your body fat for energy. Carbohydrates have the most significant effect on insulin, while fat is neutral and protein has a moderate impact. All calories are not the same! To lose weight, you must lower insulin, which means you must reduce your carb intake. If you’re on a low-carb diet, your body can use both food and body fat for fuel. This eliminates hunger and cravings between meals. Fat provides more than double the energy of glucose. It takes 2 to 3 days to get into ketosis and 2 to 3 weeks for fat adaptation. Fat adaptation means your body is burning the most fat possible. Your body can burn ketones and fat, which are two different fuel sources. To get your body into ketosis, carbohydrates should make up about 5% of your diet, protein 20%, and fat 75%. Visceral fat in the abdomen may prevent a flat belly, but you can eliminate it with this diet. The dead bug exercise stimulates the fascia and muscles that can act as a girdle, giving you a flat belly fast! Do this exercise every day, and within 1 to 2 weeks, you will start to see amazing results! These 7 drinks help improve sleep quality by preventing troublesome issues like night waking and nighttime urination. Blood sugar often decreases at night, increasing cortisol, which increases blood sugar levels. Poor sleep can also cause blood sugar issues, and frequent urination at night can contribute to this problem. Here are 7 nighttime drinks to help stabilize blood sugar levels throughout the night. Try these drinks to support healthy blood sugar levels and improve sleep. 1. Apple cider vinegar with cinnamon Add one to two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with a pinch of cinnamon to a glass of water for the perfect blood sugar-balancing drink. 2. Chamomile tea Chamomile tea lowers cortisol and stabilizes blood sugar by directly supporting the cells in the pancreas. 3. Golden milk Combine turmeric and ginger with milk to make a delicious blood sugar-balancing latte. 4. Aloe vera juice Aloe vera is known to help with digestion and ulcers and can be applied topically to wounds, but it also potently affects the cells that make insulin. 5. Berberine tea This herb is close in effectiveness to Metformin, just without the side effects! 6. Electrolyte drinks (without sugar) Potassium and magnesium are vital for healthy blood sugar levels. Magnesium can significantly decrease cortisol, while potassium can reduce blood sugar and is essential for glucose storage in the liver and the muscles. Most people are not getting enough potassium! 7. Salt in water Sodium is an important electrolyte that helps reduce blood sugar and cortisol. Add it to water or your electrolyte drinks to help increase hydration. It also supports the adrenal glands, nerves, and muscles. Never Get Menstrual Cramps Again (13 Scientifically Proven Tips)

If you suffer from severe menstrual cramps, this is for you. Find out how to stop menstrual cramps naturally by addressing the root cause with these 13 natural remedies for period pain. Never experience menstrual cramps again! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Chapters: 0:00 Introduction: How to reduce period pain 0:23 What is a menstrual cramp? 1:30 What causes severe period cramps? 6:42 Vitamin D3 and painful menstrual cramps 12:38 13 natural remedies for period pain Today, I’m going to show you how to relieve period cramps fast, and for good. There are two types of period cramps: the primary type is labeled idiopathic, and secondary cramps that are caused by fibroids, ovarian cysts, or endometriosis. Many women take NSAIDs, birth control pills, and Depo shots for period pain relief. The medical community generally discourages the use of natural remedies for menstrual cramps, but does not discourage the use of medication. Research has shown the effectiveness of vitamin B1 and vitamin E. Upon searching for the root cause, I stumbled upon the following clues: • Painful cramps are caused by pain chemicals called prostaglandins. • Vasopressin, which causes contractions and decreased blood flow, is elevated when you have menstrual cramps. • Painful period cramps are associated with high parathyroid hormone levels. • Women with painful menstrual cramps also have much higher inflammation in the uterus, often related to NF-KB. • Black women have a 33% higher likelihood of getting severe period cramps than white women. • Menstrual cramps are sometimes treated with calcium channel blockers. This led to the conclusion that the root cause of menstrual cramps is a severe vitamin D3 deficiency! Try the following natural remedies for period pain and say goodbye to menstrual cramps for good: 1. Take 20,000 IU of vitamin D3 daily 2. Take 400-600 mg of magnesium glycinate 3. Follow a low-carb diet 4. Intermittent fasting 5. Cod liver oil for pain relief 6. Vitamin E 7. Vitamin B1 8. Increase iron with red meat 9. Zinc for vitamin D3 absorption 10. Exercise 11. The Big Multivitamin Scam

Are multivitamins bad for you? How could that be? In this video, I’ll share the truth about the multivitamin scam. Find out about the vitamins you should never take, supplements that don’t work, and the harmful ingredients in your supplements. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Chapters: 0:00 Introduction: Multivitamins truth 0:19 Harmful ingredients in supplements 1:45 Synthetic vs. natural vitamins 3:38 Do multivitamins really work? 9:32 Natural vitamins and minerals 11:17 Fake vitamins exposed! Many multivitamins are made with the cheapest, synthetic ingredients which could be doing more harm than good. The first ingredient in many multivitamins is often calcium carbonate, which is limestone! The first ingredient usually makes up the majority of the product. Magnesium oxide, another common ingredient, is very cheap and has the lowest absorption rate compared to other forms of magnesium. The term “natural” isn’t regulated, so ingredients derived from sources such as petroleum and coal tar can be labeled as natural. In nature, vitamins don’t exist alone; they are combined with other nutrients and cofactors, which are often missing when you take synthetic vitamins. Biochemistry can not work without cofactors. Although there are nutrients that are difficult to obtain in sufficient amounts from food, that doesn’t mean they should be replaced with synthetic multivitamins. Maltodextrin is commonly used as a filler in vitamins and minerals. It’s a highly refined industrial starch, classified as a complex carbohydrate, and spikes blood sugar more than sugar. Ascorbic acid is a synthetic part of the vitamin C complex. Approximately 90% is made in China from GMO corn and sulfuric acid. Many people have a genetic issue converting cyanocobalamin, a synthetic form of B12, and folic acid, a synthetic form of B9, into their active forms. This can cause negative side effects in 40% of the population. Almost all of the popular multivitamins are owned by Big Pharma, Big Food, Big Chemical, or large investment groups. For example, Centrum Silver is owned by Pfizer, and One a Day is owned by Bayer. Nature Made is owned by the same company that sells Abilify! Today we're going to talk about natural remedies for AIDS and HIV. I'm reading a book called "What really causes AIDS," by professor Harold D. Foster—it's fascinating because it involves nutrition. When you have HIV, over time, if the immune system is weak, it can shift to AIDS. AIDS is a condition where you don't really have an immune system anymore. This condition targets a key player in your immune system called the T helper cell. Without the T helper cells, your immune system can't work how it needs to. Without these cells, you can also develop serious secondary problems like tumors or cancer. Glutathione is the key antioxidant for all your cells, and it's intimately involved with your immune system. However, HIV depletes the precursors to make glutathione. If you were to build up these precursors, and therefore, your glutathione, you could potentially prevent the transition of HIV to AIDS. Other viruses use this mechanism, including hepatitis C, hepatitis B, and coxsackie. The precursors for glutathione are: • Selenium • Cysteine • Glutamine • Tryptophan A potential natural protocol for HIV and AIDS: • Selenium (400 mcg) • Cysteine • Glutamine • Tryptophan • NAC Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 58, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. The 10 Most Dangerous Food Additives in the World

These dangerous food additives are designed to get you hooked! Find out about the hidden toxins in your diet that could be taking a serious toll on your health. Avoid these ingredients by any means necessary! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Chapters: 0:00 Introduction: The most dangerous ingredients in the world 0:23 Why are these toxic ingredients so addictive? 3:06 10 deadly ingredients in processed food 6:00 Seed oils and your health 12:05 Download the Dr. Berg app! How do they turn cheap, toxic ingredients into a highly addictive food? The worst food ingredients often have the following components: •Devoid of protein •Create a blood sugar spike •Artificial flavorings •MSG •Manipulated texture •Good mouth feel •Bliss point •Signals the release of dopamine •Pleasure when eating Avoid the following toxic ingredients, often found in ultra-processed foods. 1. Trans fats Some foods still contain trans fats. This ingredient is even worse when combined with refined carbohydrates. 2. High fructose corn syrup This synthetic sugar goes straight to the liver, contributing to a fatty liver and insulin resistance. Sweet drinks made with alcohol cause significant liver damage and affect the brain, nervous system, and heart. Seed oils exacerbate this problem. 3. Sodium nitrate This is a preservative found in bacon and hot dogs, and it becomes increasingly toxic when heated. 4. Fried potatoes/burnt toast Adding heat to a starch creates toxic byproducts such as aldehydes and acrylamide. These toxic ingredients cause inflammation in the body. Starch or sugar combined with protein creates AGEs, harmful byproducts that damage your arteries, eyes, kidneys, and brain. 5. Artificial sweeteners Artificial sweeteners have a toxic effect on the body, especially the microbiome. 6. Glyphosate Glyphosate is patented as an antibiotic and classified by the WHO as a probable carcinogen. 7. MSG Monosodium glutamate affects the hypothalamus in rats, causing them to overeat and become obese. This ingredient can make low-quality food taste better than it really is. 8. Phosphate This stimulant can contribute to arterial calcification, especially if you don’t have enough vitamin K2. 9. Potassium bromate This ingredient is a bread conditioner and is classified as a probable carcinogen. 10. Synthetic flavoring The ingredient “flavoring” consists of hundreds of chemicals used to manipulate your sense of taste. Chronic consumption of artificial flavors can dull your appetite for real food. Thanks for watching! I hope you’ll avoid these dangerous food ingredients. Eat ONLY Meat for 30 Days?!

Can you survive on just meat? There are many critics of the carnivore diet, but what’s the truth? In this video, I’ll share the benefits of meat and what happens after only eating meat for 30 days. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 What happens if you only eat meat for 30 days? 1:35 Meat-only diet results 2:59 Eliminating grains on the carnivore diet 4:10 Carnivore diet benefits for insulin resistance 5:42 Tips for a 30-day carnivore diet “Experts” often discredit the carnivore diet by planting seeds of doubt and uncertainty. Claims that the carnivore diet could be dangerous in the long term discourage people from trying it. Amidst claims that a meat-only diet could be dangerous, our current dietary standards leave the population riddled with chronic disease. When first starting a meat-only diet, most people lose excess water weight. Your carbs are essentially dropped to zero, so you quickly get into ketosis. A 30-day carnivore diet can also improve gut health and digestion, and boost weight loss. Plants and fiber are not the best options for healing the gut. Adding fiber to an inflamed gut will only make matters worse. Plants also do not contain vital amino acids. When you go on a 30-day carnivore diet, you stop consuming grains, the source of most of our sugar consumption. Refined starch made from grains will spike your blood sugar even higher than actual sugar. Most grains are genetically modified, sprayed with chemicals, and contain traces of glyphosate, which is classified as an antibiotic. When you eliminate sugar and refined grains from the diet, you stop feeding the pathogens in your microbiome. This can starve and eliminate an overgrowth of fungus, candida, and yeast. Insulin resistance is primarily caused by the consumption of sugar and starches. You may notice that diseases or symptoms related to insulin resistance will disappear after only eating meat for 30 days. As your gut heals and inflammation decreases, you can absorb more vitamin D. Healing your gut also positively affects your brain, improving mood disorders such as anxiety and depression. For the best carnivore diet results, consume the whole animal, including bone broth, skin, and organ meats. Incorporating fish, shellfish, and eggs in a 30-day carnivore diet is also beneficial. Why Are We Doing This to Our Kids?

Why are we feeding our kids ultra-processed foods? In 1948, the childhood obesity rate was less than 1%, and food allergies, asthma, and autism were virtually non-existent. Discover the detrimental health consequences of the ultra-processed food diet in this video. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Obesity, disease, and diet in 1948 3:46 Obesity in children 4:10 Ultra-processed foods 4:34 The problem with the ultra-processed food diet 6:07 Ultra-processed food calories today 6:29 Seed oils 7:00 Refined starches Download the FREE Dr. Berg Junk Food Meter App here: https://drbrg.co/4ngJiL1 Apple Download: https://drbrg.co/3JwV70J Android Download: https://drbrg.co/4mv0Bbd When my father was a child in 1948, he recalls a different way of life. Sugary cereals like Fruit Loops, Captain Crunch, and Fruity Pebbles did not line the aisles of the grocery store. Children did not have mid-morning snacks at school and were told not to spoil their appetites by eating before dinner. Saturated fats were not demonized as they are today. Lard and tallow were found in every kitchen, and red meat was a dietary staple. Most people had gardens and relied on the skill of canning to get them through the winter. Obesity and chronic disease in childhood were uncommon, while childhood obesity, food allergies, asthma, and autism plague the children of today! The largest category of ultra-processed foods are snack foods. The problem with snacking is that you spike insulin every time you eat. Carbohydrates create the most significant spike in insulin. Not only are we snacking, but we’re snacking on the worst foods! The pancreas is constantly working to pump out insulin to remove sugar from the blood. This eventually leads to insulin resistance, which is behind almost every chronic illness, including a fatty liver, high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity, inflammatory diseases, mood disorders, dementia, and more. In 1948, we did not have not have ultra-processed food calories. Today, 65% of the teenage diet comes from ultra-processed food calories. This number is around 50% for adults and 45% for toddlers. Seed oils, such as soy, corn, cottonseed, and canola, are the worst ultra-processed food ingredients. Around 25% to 30% of all our calories come from seed oils. Grain-based starches generate 220 billion dollars per year! Highly processed industrial starches such as modified food starch, modified cornstarch, and maltodextrin spike blood sugar—often higher than consuming sugar does! --- Learn more about your ad choices. So, let’s talk about longevity. Of course there are common signs of aging like wrinkles, gray hair, or loss of hearing. But these aren’t actually good indicators of how old someone is or how long they might live. I believe the best indicator to determine longevity is muscle strength. As a person ages, they lose muscle mass and strength. There is a strong association between the loss of muscle strength and mortality. The muscles that are affected first are the anterior thigh muscles (the quadriceps). One test that is used to determine if someone has sarcopenia (muscle atrophy) is the sit-to-stand time test or a chair-to-stand test. You can also try the hand grip strength test. The best ways to support longevity: 1. Take vitamin D 2. Do resistance-type exercise 3. Consume nutrient-dense foods 4. Do fasting 5. Keep your cortisol low 6. Improve your state of mind 7. Consume an adequate amount of quality protein 8. Take HMB (if you have sarcopenia) Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Chapters: 0:00 Introduction: Is yogurt bad for you? 0:10 Fermented foods 1:00 Yogurt side effects and benefits 3:10 Commercial yogurt vs. homemade yogurt 5:11 Unhealthy facts about yogurt 6:45 Processed yogurt ingredients 8:59 Probiotics, kefir, and sauerkraut The benefits of yogurt and other fermented foods do not lie in their ability to reseed the gut. The real benefit is the change in environment. Fermented and cultured foods change the pH and oxygen levels in the gut. They also provide food and metabolites for the gut microbes, which can also help activate dormant microbes. Many microbes have been suppressed by antibiotics, junk food, and other factors. Many of them are keystone microbes, which are vital for your gut health. Unless your yogurt says it contains live and active cultures, it’s been double-pasteurized. Commercial yogurt typically ferments for 1 to 2 hours, whereas traditional homemade yogurt ferments anywhere from 8 to 36 hours. By the time you eat commercial yogurt, there are significantly fewer CFUs of bacteria than stated on the label. Sugar in yogurt can kill the friendly bacteria and feed pathogens in your gut. Added ingredients, such as pectin, gels, and guar gum, inhibit bacterial movement. Yogurt fermented for only 1 to 2 hours will not have the right texture or thickness, so ingredients such as modified food starch, carrageenan, and polysorbate 80 are added. These ingredients can destroy the mucosal layer of the gut, leading to leaky gut and inflammation. Many commercial yogurts contain artificial sweeteners, which are known to alter the gut microbiome. Many processed yogurts contain bioengineered food ingredients that may contain traces of glyphosate, a patented antibiotic. This means the very product you’re consuming to support your gut health could be destroying your gut microbes. Probiotics contain significantly more microbes than yogurt. These freeze-dried microbes are often able to reach the large intestine and reseed the gut, especially when taken repetitively. Kefir, which contains both bacteria and yeast, is also a better option than yogurt. Sauerkraut is an excellent food for gut health. It contains polyphenols, postbiotics, SCFAs, sulforaphane, organic acids, glutamine, and the compound s-methylmethionine. Egg Prices Are NOT by Accident

What’s really behind the price and scarcity of eggs? Today, I’m going to interview Clayton Baker, M.D. to discuss the recent bird flu outbreak. Egg prices are not random, and the outbreak is not an accident! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Welcome, Dr. Clayton Baker! 2:47 The bird flu outbreak 5:44 The effect on farmers and the food supply 7:20 The cost to the American taxpayer 8:18 Bird flu vaccines 9:15 What can we do? DATA: https://brownstone.org/articles/bird-... Please join me in welcoming Dr. Clayton Baker! Dr. Baker points out the similarities between the current bird flu outbreak and the COVID-19 outbreak of 2020. The media creates fear, followed by a pandemic, to gain control. This eventually leads to civil rights violations, including lockdowns and work bans. Next, people are coerced into taking profitable yet toxic vaccines as a countermeasure against the outbreak. We are witnessing this once again with the current bird flu outbreak. There are two labs in the US: the Southeast Poultry Research Lab, funded by the USDA, and the University of Wisconsin Veterinary School, which conducts gain-of-function research on viruses. This involves manipulating a naturally occurring virus to make it more deadly and able to jump from species to species. Farmers are encouraged to perform PCR tests on their flocks, which are known for false positives. If any of their birds test positive for bird flu, they are paid to slaughter their entire flock. The increase in egg prices is not due to bird deaths from bird flu but rather the mass slaughter of birds. Over 1.25 billion taxpayer dollars have been used to fund this mass slaughter. Ultimately, the goal is to mass vaccinate chickens in the food supply against bird flu. Gain-of-function research is dangerous and must stop! We can also help combat this problem by purchasing eggs from smaller farmers at farmer’s markets. #health #keto #ketodiet #weightloss #ketolifestyle #intermittentfasting #lowcarb Thanks for watching! I hope this increases your awareness about the bird flu epidemic. I’ll see you in the next video. --- Learn more about your ad choices. I used to be a professional procrastinator, so what changed? Dieting slows your metabolism a little bit more each time you do it, especially if the diet is low-calorie or high in carbohydrates. Dieting and losing fat go against our body’s natural survival mechanisms—your body doesn’t like to give up fat. When diets don’t work, people tend to mislabel themselves as lazy or as a procrastinator. But they’ve just been on the wrong diet plan. When your diet program is working, you’ll see results, and you’ll stick to it. If you’re on the right diet and you’re burning fat, you may not notice weight loss at first, but you will notice two things: 1. Your cravings will go away 2. Your appetite will go away This happens because you’re burning fat even when you’re not eating, which makes it much easier to stick to the keto plan. If you’re not losing weight right away on keto, you need to consider this key weight loss principle: you don’t lose weight then get healthy—you have to get healthy so you can lose weight. Various health conditions affect weight loss and also take time to heal. But, if you’re cravings and appetite go away, the diet is working. If you think you don’t have enough time to put into diet and exercise, you may want to take a closer look at your daily routine. As you plan out your day, put exercise and preparing healthy meals at the top of your to-do list as necessities. You may also need to change up your workout to fit your body's needs. What Happens If You Take Collagen Every Day?

I’m sure you’ve heard of using collagen for skin, hair, and anti-aging, but does collagen really work? It does, but in more ways than you think! Find out about the real benefit of collagen you’ve probably never heard about. Learn more about collagen absorption to maximize the benefits! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Chapters:- 0:00 Introduction: Collagen benefits 1:04 What is collagen? 2:45 More benefits of collagen 4:10 Collagen peptides 7:58 The best collagen sources 9:22 Improving collagen absorption and function Collagen is often used for hair, skin, nails, and joints. It’s been used to prevent wrinkles and as a beauty product, but the real benefit of collagen has nothing to do with beauty! Our ancestors ate animals nose to tail. This means they included organ meats, bone marrow, cartilage, and skin as vital parts of their diet. Around 30% of the protein in your body is collagen. It makes up the connective tissue of the body. Your tendons, ligaments, cartilage, fascia, and even a portion of your bones are made of collagen. In modern times, most of our meat doesn’t contain much collagen. Only 1% to 3% of the protein we eat is collagen. This can lead to deficiencies in glycine, a key amino acid. When you’re 17, you have the most collagen of your entire life. As we age, we lose a significant amount of collagen, leading to skin sagging, wrinkles, joint issues, and increased overall fragility. Here are some of the surprising benefits of collagen: •Antioxidant properties •Helps increase glutathione •Gut lining repair •Glycine for sleep and detoxification Most of the collagen from the diet breaks down into amino acids. Only 10% remains as collagen peptide chains. Peptides are signaling molecules that tell the body to repair and rebuild connective tissue. These peptides trigger specific genes that activate the fibroblast cells in the body to produce collagen and elastin. When you consume muscle meat, eggs, and whey protein, you’re only getting amino acids, not the signaling molecules for repairing and rebuilding. To increase your collagen intake, you can try a collagen supplement. You can also consume collagen-rich foods, such as the skin on chicken or fish. You can use bones, joints, and cartilage to make a variety of stews and soups. Bone marrow is an excellent source of collagen! Grass-fed, grass-finished beef has more collagen than conventional beef. You can even try mixing collagen powder in your coffee! Don’t forget the cofactors, vitamin C, biotin, and trace minerals, which are vital for collagen absorption and function. #1 Best Food to Unclog Arteries

Find out about the #1 best food in the world to help unclog arteries and prevent a heart attack or a stroke. This food works to clean arteries naturally and doesn’t come with negative side effects. Find out how to clean your arteries and improve your cardiovascular health with this one food today! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: The best food for clogged arteries 0:10 Aspirin to prevent heart disease 0:56 Blocked arteries and heart attacks 2:11 How to clean arteries naturally with EPA 2:50 EPA benefits 4:30 The best food for clogged arteries 5:03 Vitamin D benefits DATA: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles...https://www.sciencedirect.com/science... Aspirin helps prevent heart attacks by thinning the blood and reducing clot formation. A blood clot causes 80% of all heart attacks and strokes. While Aspirin has helped people, it does come with side effects and may not be for everyone. Surprisingly, 50% of all heart attacks occur between 6:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., likely due to higher levels of cortisol in the morning. Both cortisol and adrenaline can increase clotting. EPA, an omega-3 fatty acid, acts as a natural blood thinner without the negative side effects. Research has shown that EPA can thin the blood comparably to low-dose Aspirin. EPA can stabilize vulnerable arterial plaquing by decreasing inflammation. One 2019 study found that people who consumed EPA experienced a significant decrease in plaquing, decreased inflammation, and decreased cardiovascular events. It can also positively affect your mood by reducing cortisol and adrenaline. EPA helps prevent blocked arteries by making your platelets less sticky. Salmon, mackerel, fatty fish, and fish oil contain EPA, but there’s a better source! Cod liver oil or cod liver is the best food to unclog your arteries naturally. Along with EPA, cod liver oil contains vitamins A and D. The active form of vitamin A, retinol, helps to repair the body’s internal tissues. It’s also a potent anti-inflammatory and can help decrease atherosclerotic plaquing. In one study, out of 1000 compounds, vitamin D was the most effective at preventing damage to the internal layer of the arteries. Vitamin D increases nitric oxide and the stiffness of the arteries. It’s a potent anti-inflammatory, stabilizes plaque, prevents rupture, and decreases arterial calcification. In this video, I’m going to show you how to relieve sciatica pain fast with the best sciatica pain relief exercises with virtually no side effects! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: How to relieve sciatica pain no matter the cause 1:27 How to get sciatica relief fast 2:36 Back pain exercises using intermittent inversion traction 3:43 How to perform inversion therapy for low back pain relief 4:43 Other ways to eliminate sciatica 6:16 Sciatica stretches without an inversion table Exercise Videos: ▶️ • Relaxation Yoga Supported Child's Pose (Ba... ▶️ • 15-Minute Wall Stretch Routine: Improve Fl... ▶️ • Easy Low Back Pain Relief | Lower Back Dec... Sciatic nerve pain can be caused by a protruded disc, scar tissue on the nerve root, arthritis, an injury, or extended periods of sitting. Poor posture, excess driving, and aging can also contribute to the problem. Inversion uses the weight of your upper body to pull down on your lower back, creating negative pressure and increasing blood flow. This also breaks up adhesions and scar tissue. For the quickest lower back pain relief, try intermittent inversion traction. This involves inverting your body for 1 to 2 minutes and then repeatedly returning to an upright position. It can significantly reduce sciatic nerve pain by targeting the nerve, disc, scar tissue, and blood flow all at once. Research has shown that inversion therapy increases flexibility, reduces the risk of surgery for sciatica, and can relieve lower back pain better than medication. If you have high blood pressure, glaucoma, or heart problems, check with your doctor before doing inversion therapy. Start slow with inversion therapy. Begin with a gentle angle of 15–30 degrees for just 1–2 minutes, once or twice a day for the first week. Gradually work up to 5 minutes at a time (in 1-minute intervals) at a 60-degree angle over the next 1–2 weeks. After 3–4 weeks, you can try full inversion for 15–20 minutes, broken into 2-minute intervals, three to four times per week. Intermittent inversion traction will leave you feeling taller with less sciatic nerve pain. You’ll also feel like you’ve had a fantastic stretch! Other ways to eliminate sciatica pain include: •Following a low-carb ketogenic diet •Take 20,000 to 30,000 IU of vitamin D3 and 400 mg of magnesium glycinate (include vitamin K2) •Eliminate omega-6 seed oils from your diet •Perform myofascial stretching You can also perform sciatica stretches without an inversion table! Try the child’s pose with blankets, a wall-assisted leg-up stretch, or lying spinal decompression with a stability ball for sciatic nerve pain relief. Swimming can also be very therapeutic. Breakfast is a Lie

What you eat for breakfast affects how you feel for the rest of the day. Discover the best breakfast foods that boost morning energy and improve cognitive function throughout the day. Find out how a healthy morning breakfast can significantly change your overall well-being. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: How breakfast affects your day 1:22 The problem with carbs for breakfast 1:30 Collagen Peptides 4:09 Protein for a healthy breakfast 4:30 Eggs for breakfast 4:53 What to eat for breakfast 7:48 The importance of sleep Download the FREE Dr. Berg Junk Food Meter App here: https://drbrg.co/4mqiYxH Apple Download: https://drbrg.co/47EBkXd Android Download: https://drbrg.co/3Jrgj8x Check out the NEW Collagen Peptide product here: 🛒 https://drbrg.co/3PzIjGJ Fix your gut health with this free guide: • Fix Your Gut with ONE Microbe What you eat for breakfast affects your ability to focus, your creative ability to solve problems, and how well you sleep at night. A carb-heavy breakfast promotes insulin resistance, which inhibits your ability to absorb fuel. The first place you’ll notice this is in your brain. Ketones are a much better fuel for your brain than sugar. To make ketones, you need to lower your carbs and sugar. You can also produce ketones by fasting. While fasting, your body must convert to making ketones for energy. Carbohydrate breakfast foods leave you hungry within an hour-and-a-half of eating. Sugary cereal is a poor choice for breakfast. Magic Spoon or keto-friendly granola without added sugar is a better option. Oatmeal is generally one of the most ultra-processed foods. If you want to eat oatmeal for breakfast, look for regular oatmeal without sugar. The best option for oatmeal is steel-cut oats, although they take longer to cook. Oatmeal and wheat are heavily sprayed with glyphosate, which has been shown to cause cancer and problems with your gut. Choose organic to avoid this problem. Replacing your breakfast food with protein such as meat, bacon, and eggs can significantly change your energy levels and cognitive function. Eggs and bacon are the perfect healthy morning breakfast. You can also add avocado or cheese. Cheese is very nutritious, a good source of protein, and has good bacteria due to the fermentation process. Yogurt is a great breakfast option. Choose organic Greek or Bulgarian yogurt without added sugar, or make your own yogurt. Instead of giving your kids Wonder bread, try a sprouted bread like Ezekiel bread. Add peanut butter for extra protein. Red meat and pork sausage are also great breakfast foods. It’s important to prioritize sleep! Losing just one hour of sleep can significantly affect your blood sugar and cognitive state. --- Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

DATA: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science... https://www.nia.nih.gov/news/changes-...https://alz-journals.onlinelibrary.wi... https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/s... Surprisingly, one of the earliest signs of dementia involves the retina. There is a high correlation between problems in the retina and problems in the brain. Problems with night vision or central vision, floaters, and light sensitivity issues are the earliest signs of dementia. Some people develop amyloid-beta plaquing on the retina and may experience problems differentiating shades of grey and other colors. Researchers have found high levels of microbes, typically found in the mouth, in the brains of Alzheimer’s patients. When people die from dementia, it’s usually caused by an infection such as a UTI or lung infection. For some people, surgery can be too much on the body and lead to death. Some people with dementia have a slow, progressive degeneration of the brain to the point they’re bedridden and stop eating and drinking, which ultimately leads to death. Focus on cleaning your brain and reducing inflammation for dementia prevention. The glymphatic system cleans the brain, mainly at night, which is one of the primary purposes of sleep. This system removes malformed proteins and plaquing and rejuvenates the brain. Anything that inhibits sleeping may increase your risk for Alzheimer’s, heart attacks, strokes, cancer, blood sugar issues, and type 2 diabetes. Sleep apnea can also be problematic. You need 8 to 9 hours of sleep! Alcohol significantly interferes with REM sleep and is very damaging to brain health. To prevent Alzheimer’s, you must flood the brain with oxygen. Exercise is one of the best ways to do this! Exercise stimulates the growth of brain cells and the hormone BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor). Adequate sun exposure and high amounts of vitamin D can help support healthy sleep. A diet high in sugar and carbohydrates can starve your neurons. Brain cells love ketones! To get into ketosis, you must lower your carbohydrate intake. If you have any early signs of dementia, try taking ketones as a supplement or MCT oil. Niacin may also be helpful. Take 50 mg daily, slowly increasing to 500 mg per day. Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 59, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Check out this interesting interview with Manuel Suarez! Check out Manuel Suarez's YouTube Channel Here: https://www.youtube.com/c/ManuelSuarezNinja 0:00 Introduction: Understanding type 1 diabetes 0:10 What is type 1 diabetes? 0:30 Low-carb and type 1 diabetes 1:06 Welcome, Manuel Suarez! 1:32 Manuel’s story 10:13 His transition into keto 17:16 His exercise routine 22:32 An important tip for type 1 diabetes We have a wonderful guest with us today! Manuel Suarez is going to share his incredible story and how he uses the keto diet and intermittent fasting as tools to deal with type 1 diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is a situation where you can’t produce insulin, which means you can’t regulate your blood sugar. A person with type 1 diabetes depends on insulin medication to keep their blood sugar from going too high. But, if you lower your carbohydrates, you can decrease your need for insulin. High blood sugar is unhealthy, but so is high insulin. The goal is to take the least amount of insulin possible to have normal blood sugar levels. Before keto and fasting, Manuel was taking around 40 units of fast-acting insulin a day and 25 units of long-acting insulin a day. After being on the keto diet and intermittent fasting, he only takes two to five units of fast-acting insulin daily and ten units of long-acting insulin daily. One of the components he attributes his success to is exercising regularly. What works best for him is a high-intensity workout for 30 minutes three to four times per week. A key tip to take away is that if you’re doing OMAD, try having your meal between 2 pm and 3 pm to maximize your results. I think this interview will encourage you and help answer some of your questions about type 1 diabetes in relation to keto and fasting. Enjoy! Is chicken really healthy? Learn the truth about chicken. 0:00 Introduction: Is chicken healthy? 0:18 The truth about chicken 6:40 Beef vs. chicken 7:40 Check out this video on beef! Let’s talk about chicken. Chicken is the most genetically manipulated animal protein that you can consume, and there are consequences when you alter the natural process of growing a chicken. Chickens are typically raised in a very inhumane and unhealthy environment. Many issues with the chicken you buy from the store are present because of the conditions the chicken was raised in. Store-bought chickens even have added coloring, which is used to make them look healthy and appetizing. But, the need for this coloring can be traced back to the chicken’s environment. Another big problem with chicken is that it’s very high in omega-6 fatty acids, which means it’s very inflammatory. Chickens are also fed inflammatory ingredients, like used cooking oil, that is in chicken feeds. This contributes to chicken meat being inflammatory. Chicken is also low in nutrition. When comparing beef and chicken, beef is much more nutrient-dense and contains less omega-6 fatty acids. A poorly functioning pancreas can result in bloating, diarrhea, and constipation. Baking soda can work as a temporary solution for an acid stomach, but not for indigestion! Indigestion is caused by low stomach acid, so baking soda would only worsen the problem. Apple cider vinegar and betaine hydrochloride can help with indigestion. GERD and acid reflux are also related to low stomach acid, but baking soda can help temporarily. ACV and betaine hydrochloride are better long-term solutions. Baking soda can also help with gastritis, but it should be taken with zinc carnosine for this problem. Stomach acid should be highly acidic with a pH between 1 and 3. Drinking baking soda for long periods can neutralize your stomach acid, inhibiting your ability to digest protein, absorb B12, and absorb minerals. Low stomach acid can also lower your ability to kill microbes and pathogens in your food. Baking soda neutralizes the acid in your mouth and is an excellent addition to toothpaste. It can also help relieve itching related to a kidney problem and enhance athletic performance! Baking soda consumption can help prevent kidney stones and can also be helpful if you have a UTI. Baking soda can be used topically for certain insect bites, especially for fire ant bites and bee stings. It can also be used as pest control for insects like cockroaches. Don't take baking soda with vinegar or lemon juice! This creates a significant amount of carbon dioxide, which can leave you feeling bloated.
