The chondrocyte is a cell that makes up your cartilage. Arthritis is often related to stress that originates in the endoplasmic reticulum of these cells. Surprisingly, this cell has receptors for bile salts! There are two types of bile: one made by the liver and secondary bile produced by your microbes. This secondary type of bile acts as a potent anti-inflammatory in the joints, protecting them and reducing inflammation. TUDCA is a specialized bile salt that can reduce stress in the endoplasmic reticulum and can be incredibly beneficial for arthritis and joint pain. Vitamin K2 prevents calcium from building up in the soft tissue. A deficiency can lead to calcification in the joints and arteries, as well as the formation of osteophytes. Whether you have rheumatoid arthritis or osteoarthritis, vitamin D is one of the most effective anti-inflammatory agents. It is also incredibly beneficial for addressing autoimmune conditions. Consuming too much sodium can lead to certain health problems, including: • Heart disease • High blood pressure • Stroke • Edema • Increased mortality The body tends to hold sodium when a person has a potassium deficiency. You can even have salt sensitivity, which causes you to retain sodium and water. But, again, this could be caused by a potassium deficiency. Sodium and potassium work together in the body. The daily requirements for sodium are 2300 mg, but the daily requirements for potassium are 4700 mg. You really need twice as much potassium as sodium. Many people aren't consuming enough potassium in their diet but consume a lot of sodium. A genetic problem can also cause some people to be salt sensitive. I believe one of the best things you can do for salt sensitivity is to increase your potassium. I don't think a low-salt diet is the answer. You don't want to end up having a potassium deficiency and a sodium deficiency. You need sodium and potassium to support the body in many different ways. If you're deficient in these key electrolytes, you could experience arrhythmias, fatigue, and weakness. Overall, you need sodium, but you need a lot more potassium. Today we're going to talk about how you can change your breathing to help stop stress and anxiety. You can also use this simple trick to help with asthma and even to help you fall asleep easier. When someone is stressed, they often think they need more oxygen. But they really need the right balance of oxygen and CO2—CO2 actually helps increase oxygen absorption. The diaphragm is a fascinating and important muscle controlled by the phrenic nerves. It constantly works to deliver oxygen to the body and balance oxygen and CO2. The diaphragm works automatically, but it's possible to bypass the involuntary or automatic mechanism and control your breathing. When you change your breathing pattern, you're actively taking over the automatic system and putting it in your control. Any time you're in a fight or flight state, your breathing isn't balanced. So, we need to balance the breathing pattern. You can use this hack throughout the day for five minutes whenever you're feeling stressed or before bed to help you sleep better. To do this simple breathing trick, breathe in through your nose for four seconds and then breathe out for four seconds. It's best to do this while breathing through your diaphragm, not your chest. To take it to the next level, if you're in a major stress state, breathe in for four seconds and breathe out for seven to eight seconds. When you combine sugar with protein, you create AGEs (advanced glycation end products). These sticky proteins found in foods like barbequed meat can cause advanced aging, inflammation, diabetes, Alzheimer's, and other chronic diseases. 3. Limit your calcium intake, especially when taking a high dose of vitamin D. You can also increase fluid intake to 2.5 liters per day to prevent kidney stones. Today I want to cover the warning signs of a vitamin D deficiency. However, it’s important to remember that a warning sign or symptom isn’t the real problem—it’s an indicator of the real problem. Seven warning signs of a vitamin D deficiency: 1. High blood pressure 2. Low back pain 3. High blood sugar 4. High susceptibility to viruses 5. Autoimmune conditions 6. Daytime sleepiness 7. Depression Let’s say you’re doing everything right, and you’re still deficient in vitamin D. There are a few reasons why this could happen. Top causes of a vitamin D deficiency (when you’re already getting vitamin D): • Polymorphism (a vitamin D receptor mutation) • You’re still not getting enough vitamin D (you need at least 10,000 IU) • You have a problem with absorption (due to low zinc, low magnesium, a liver problem, a kidney problem, darker skin, or being overweight) When you take a vitamin D supplement, you also need to take vitamin K2. The correct ratio is 10,000 IU of D3 to 100 mcg of K2. Vitamin K2 can help drive calcium into the bones and help prevent it from depositing in the arteries, joints, and other tissues. Today, I want to clear up some confusion around protein. Typically, the minimum amount of protein a person needs is 50 grams. You might think that if you consume a beef steak that’s 100 grams or 3.5 ounces, you’re getting double the amount of protein you need for the day. However, there is a difference between the weight of a steak and the amount of protein in the steak. For example, a steak that weighs 100 grams only contains 26 grams of protein. This is because steak also contains fat and water. Proteins also vary in amino acids. We don’t even really have a daily requirement for protein—we actually have a daily requirement for amino acids in the protein. The problem lies in the quality of protein or the bioavailable acids in the food you eat. While some plants have protein, animal sources are a better option for protein than plant sources. Also, know that many infant formulas and foods for toddlers are loaded with soy protein and other plant proteins that can cause problems with digestion. Foods high in protein: 1. Breast milk 2. Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is typically diagnosed by identifying the following ADHD symptoms: •Makes mistakes easily •Lack of attention to detail •Does not listen when spoken to directly •Doesn’t complete tasks •Cannot play quietly •Problems organizing •Loses things •Frequent fidgeting •Too much energy •Talks too much Many ADHD symptoms are normal childhood behaviors, and a poor diet can exaggerate all of them. ADHD is often treated with Adderall and Ritalin, which make lots of money for Big Pharma. The definition of ADHD has been dramatically expanded to make it more diagnosable, putting more people on medication. A double-blinded study showed that after 36 months, any benefits from Adderall faded to zero. It also has side effects such as aggressive behavior or a dulled mood. ADHD involves a metabolic problem with the prefrontal cortex of the brain. These metabolic changes affect the way the brain metabolizes fuel. If the brain is starved of fuel, you may exhibit symptoms like a lack of attention and hyperactivity. Chemicals like food dyes, artificial sweeteners, sugar, starch, and MSG tremendously impact behavior. Increasing dopamine can improve focus and feelings of calmness. Foods such as meat, fish, eggs, and cheese are high in the amino acid L-tyrosine, the precursor to dopamine. Research has shown that micronutrients, especially B6, magnesium, and zinc, can significantly decrease ADHD symptoms. Omega-3 fatty acids and fish oils can also improve symptoms without side effects. Vitamin B1 is one of the most overlooked nutrients, especially in psychiatric conditions. When a child consumes a lot of glucose, vitamin B1 is depleted, inhibiting the brain’s ability to utilize fuel. If an adult or child is experiencing ADHD symptoms, they should switch to a low-carb diet so their body can run on ketones. Ketones will fuel the neurons and restore a sense of calmness and increased attention span. RFK Jr. did not say that Tylenol causes autism, but that it could be a contributing factor that can influence susceptible people to develop autism. He has raised awareness of this link and has called for further research. Tylenol is used for fevers, headaches, pain, menstrual cramps, and more. Most people think it doesn't have many side effects, but it’s the leading cause of acute liver failure. Over 80,000 people each year end up in the ER because of too much acetaminophen. Tylenol’s active ingredient depletes glutathione and is found in over 600 medications. A fever is a natural immune reaction to an infection, and suppressing this can increase the infection’s duration. There are multiple causes of autism. One involves a genetic component with the MTHFR gene, which weakens your ability to detoxify and increases your risk of a folate deficiency. Leucovorin is a synthetic folate derivative recommended for some instances of autism. This medication could be beneficial and may provide optimal results if taken with B12, B2, B6, magnesium, and zinc. One study found that between 56% and 75% of those with autism had a folate deficiency! In another trial, synthetic folate boosted IQs by 25% to 50% compared to the placebo. Independent research is needed to explore the vaccine link to autism. Let’s take a look. Saturated fats are very stable and don’t react much to oxygen because they don’t have double bonds. Fats with double bonds are more unstable and react more readily with oxygen, resulting in increased oxidation. Monounsaturated fats have one double bond, while polyunsaturated fats have many double bonds. More double bonds mean more oxidation. Avocado and olive oil are monounsaturated fats, so they’re moderately stable. Polyunsaturated fats, such as corn oil, sunflower oil, safflower oil, soy oil, canola oil, and cottonseed oil, contain many double bonds, so they’re unstable and prone to significant oxidation. Hydrogenated oils are unsaturated fats that have been chemically turned into saturated fats. Saturated fats such as lard, tallow, and butter are solid at room temperature and are very stable. Although they are unsaturated fats, fish oil and cod liver oil have potent anti-inflammatory benefits and omega-3s, but can sometimes be rancid due to their instability. Be careful where you source them! Heat and light create toxic byproducts in unsaturated fats called aldehydes. These toxic compounds destroy your DNA, lodge in your cell membranes, and damage the insulin receptors on the surface of your cells. They can also make your cells stiff and fragile. For years, saturated fats have been demonized, and unsaturated fats have been recommended! This has also occurred with other foods, such as red meat and grains. The rise in cortisol from scale anxiety alone is enough to stifle your progress! Here are 11 reasons why you shouldn’t weigh yourself: 1. Water weight Some people can lose up to 11 pounds of water weight in just 2 days! Initial water weight loss can cause unrealistic expectations. Most people only lose 1 to 2 pounds per week. 2. Salt Salty foods can cause you to retain fluid, especially if you’re consuming them with sugar. 3. Hormones A woman’s menstrual cycle can often cause weight-loss fluctuations of around 3 to 7 pounds. A rise in cortisol can also prevent weight loss. 4. Location of fat The worst type of fat is visceral fat, which accumulates around the organs. If you don’t see weight loss right away, you could be losing some of the more dangerous types of fat first. 5. Muscle loss or gain Losing muscle isn’t healthy! Your weight may be decreasing, but it could also be accompanied by serious side effects. Similarly, muscle weighs more than fat, so you won’t see weight loss if you’re building muscle. 6. Myxedema This type of fat is often found in people with hypothyroidism and is difficult to eliminate with diet and exercise alone. 7. Poor sleep One week of poor sleep can increase insulin resistance! Poor sleep leads to snacking, increased visceral fat, lower testosterone levels, and higher cortisol and stress levels. 8. Ozempic People lose weight with Ozempic, but typically regain it when they discontinue use. Around 20% to 40% of this weight loss is attributed to muscle loss. 9. Microdamage from exercise Overtraining breaks down your muscles. Edema and swelling can cause your weight to increase after exercise. 10. Peripheral neuropathy These symptoms of numbness, pain, tingling, or burning in the bottom of the feet or fingertips are often associated with diabetes. High levels of sugar in the bloodstream destroy the vascular and nervous systems. 2. Ankle and foot edema Puffy legs and ankles, or pitting edema, often signify a serious problem with circulation involving the kidney, liver, or heart. 3. Restless legs syndrome This often occurs at night and is related to the overconsumption of sugar. Interference with your sleep can decrease longevity. Dietary changes, vitamin B1, and magnesium may help improve this condition. 4. Deep vein thrombosis Clots in the legs can break off and travel to the lungs. Around 90% to 95% percent of heart attacks are caused by clots. 5. Peripheral artery disease This type of atherosclerosis goes beyond the arteries of the heart and is caused by damage to the endothelial layer of the arteries. 6. Chronic venous insufficiency This is associated with a sedentary lifestyle and puts increased pressure on the heart. 7. Sarcopenia Age-related muscle loss is one of the top predictors of mortality. Protein and exercise are vital, especially as you age. Type 2 diabetes and blood sugar issues cause problems with the inside of the arteries, which often show up in your legs first. A low-carb diet and intermittent fasting can help reverse these issues, but this is often ignored by doctors. Benfotiamine and alpha-lipoic acid can also help with associated peripheral neuropathy. The soleus push-up can significantly improve your blood sugar and circulation, and the sitting-standing test is an excellent indicator of hip and core strength. Around 30% to 40% of the world's population has an alteration of the MTHFR gene, which interferes with their ability to turn folic acid into folate, causing it to build up in the blood. This can lead to an increased risk of cancer and a suppressed immune system. Synthetic B12, or cyanocobalamine, requires glutathione to convert to the active form methylcobalamine. Consuming large amounts of synthetic B12 depletes you of this vital antioxidant. Calcium carbonate is the main ingredient in many popular multivitamins. It can build up in the arteries and kidneys and increase your risk of a heart attack. Too much iron can increase your risk of type 2 diabetes, liver issues, Parkinson’s, and Alzheimer’s. Many iron supplements contain ferrous sulfate, a damaging, poor-quality source of iron. Magnesium oxide is a cheap, poorly-absorbed form of magnesium that frequently causes diarrhea. Choose magnesium glycinate for significantly better absorption, better sleep, lower cortisol, and more overall benefits. Insulin is the hormone that controls whether you burn or store fat. If you reduce insulin, you can tap into your body fat for energy. Carbohydrates have the most significant effect on insulin, while fat is neutral and protein has a moderate impact. All calories are not the same! To lose weight, you must lower insulin, which means you must reduce your carb intake. If you’re on a low-carb diet, your body can use both food and body fat for fuel. This eliminates hunger and cravings between meals. Fat provides more than double the energy of glucose. It takes 2 to 3 days to get into ketosis and 2 to 3 weeks for fat adaptation. Fat adaptation means your body is burning the most fat possible. Your body can burn ketones and fat, which are two different fuel sources. To get your body into ketosis, carbohydrates should make up about 5% of your diet, protein 20%, and fat 75%. The Big Multivitamin Scam

Many multivitamins are made with the cheapest, synthetic ingredients which could be doing more harm than good. The first ingredient in many multivitamins is often calcium carbonate, which is limestone! The first ingredient usually makes up the majority of the product. Magnesium oxide, another common ingredient, is very cheap and has the lowest absorption rate compared to other forms of magnesium. The term “natural” isn’t regulated, so ingredients derived from sources such as petroleum and coal tar can be labeled as natural. In nature, vitamins don’t exist alone; they are combined with other nutrients and cofactors, which are often missing when you take synthetic vitamins. Biochemistry can not work without cofactors. Although there are nutrients that are difficult to obtain in sufficient amounts from food, that doesn’t mean they should be replaced with synthetic multivitamins. Maltodextrin is commonly used as a filler in vitamins and minerals. It’s a highly refined industrial starch, classified as a complex carbohydrate, and spikes blood sugar more than sugar. Ascorbic acid is a synthetic part of the vitamin C complex. Approximately 90% is made in China from GMO corn and sulfuric acid. Many people have a genetic issue converting cyanocobalamin, a synthetic form of B12, and folic acid, a synthetic form of B9, into their active forms. This can cause negative side effects in 40% of the population. Almost all of the popular multivitamins are owned by Big Pharma, Big Food, Big Chemical, or large investment groups.
